Hello guys :) i'm very happy to announce that i'll be uploading some articles about metal bands that I love, and this is my first one because Metallica is my fav band! Hope you guys enjoy my content and don't hestiate to share it! It would help me a lot :)

72 Seasons album opinion + my experience at M72 Tour in Madrid

72 Seasons is the eleventh studio album by the American heavy metal band Metallica, released on April 14, 2023. This album marks the band's first full-length release since 2016's "Hardwired... to Self-Destruct," as a collaborative effort between the band members and producer Greg Fidelman, who also worked on their previous album, Hardwired… To Self-Destruct.

In this album we can observe a great growth in the band's music production, as we can appreciate Metallica's signature sound, blending thrash metal with elements of hard rock and progressive metal. It features heavy riffs, complex arrangements and powerful vocals, which show a vast development and maturity of their musical skills. From the first track, titled as the album, to the last one, Inamorata, we can notice the great energy transmitted with their powerful intros. 

This album also has a meaning. The title "72 Seasons" refers to the first 18 years of a person's life, a period that significantly shapes who they become. The album delves into themes of childhood, personal growth, and the lasting impact of early experiences. I believe this also has a symbolic meaning that shows the transformation Metallica has had through the years.

The album generally received positive reviews from critics, who mostly praised James Hetfield's lyrics and vocal performance but criticized the album's song length and some repetitive song parts. 

72 Seasons received three nominations at the 66th Grammy Awards, winning Best Metal Performance for the title track 72 Seasons.

In my view, 72 Seasons had influence from their previous album mentioned before, because they already have a firm model of song structure, with similar riffs, rhythms and vocals.

My favorite songs in this album are 72 Seasons, Screaming Suicide and Shadows Follow. Overall I enjoy this album because of their mature and perfect technique when playing their instruments and vocals, they have great harmony and strength. I would give this album a 9, only because of the repetitive parts in some songs. However in live these songs don't feel long at all, on contrary, they feel short.

On November 28, 2022, Metallica announced the album's title, release date, tracklist and a promotional tour of North America and Europe, featuring Pantera, Five Finger Death Punch and Architects among others, titled the M72 World Tour, and I had the honor to assist the M72 Tour in Madrid, at the Civitas Metropolitano Stadium. The concert lasted 3 hours divided on two days, 12th and 14th July 2024. 

Both concerts had amazing visuals on stage screens for those who couldn’t see the members close enough, but even so I felt so close to them, because they really were playing for the crowd, giving a very comfortable and friendly environment. I’d like to highlight that both events started with the song The Ecstasy of Gold from the film The Good, the Bad and the Ugly, a moment that reminded me of Enter Sandman live in Moscow in 1991, the first video I saw from Metallica when I was 7 and moreover the largest concert in metal history. But we must not forget that the most important thing is how beautifully and dedicatedly they performed both concerts, which consisted in five songs from  72 Seasons, Ride the Lighting and Metallica, four songs from the Master of Puppets album, two songs from Reload, …And Justice for All, Kill ‘Em All and Death Magnetic, the unexpected song King of Nothing from the Load album and my personal favorite of the night, Moth Into Flame from Hardwired… To Self-Destruct.

This concert is something I'll never experience again, and I must say, 12th and 14th July 2024 will be forever the happiest days of my life, that’s why I’m writing this.

And at the end of the day, the question is which will be easier: sustaining their eight months of sobriety, or letting their thoughts fall relentlessly to one certain boy?

There were people all around me with rainbow dripping from their frames as flags, as makeup, as wristbands, as clothing, as hats, you name it. And all I knew how to do was smile, my eyes forming new creases at their corners as my cheeks stretched upward relentlessly. It was loud in my head, the same phrase of words rearranged and restrung with the same meaning every time: Know me. I am here. I am like you. Know me.  I had taken my flag off the wall back home when packing my suitcase two weeks before on a whim. I’d packed my flag in the back of my day bag that morning in Brenda’s guest room on a whim. And then, when we got caught at a junction, watching, waiting for this procession to come up and swiftly carry us away, I said something about it, as though I’d totally forgotten something so intrinsic to who I was, as if I even could.  “Oh, wait,” I said. “I’ve got a flag in my backpack.” And Isabel. She knew the right words and let them fall loose, probably not even knowing how much they meant to me in that single summer moment.  “You can wear it if you’d like.” As if it was so simple. As if there was no thought behind it. As if it was so obvious. As if I had never been 13, or 14, or 15, 16, 17. And my hands shook as I swung my bag from my back and pulled the zipper open. I pulled it out in all of its creased glory and threw it over my shoulder, fingers unpractised but still so sure of themselves as they knotted the ends around my throat, colour cascading down behind me. And in that moment, I was the freest person on the planet.

I went to the park that night and read my book and giggled to myself and ailed over the similarities between Elio pining for Oliver and me for Gillen. Elio sneaking into his own empty bedroom to slip on another man’s swim shorts, letting his scent waft around his head and turn him dizzy and stupid and so deeply into lust. I bit my finger overtop that page and let my mind wander back to my one purchase of Madrid. I wondered what its pale pink colour would look like between his ring-bearing fingers, how he’d hold it, if he’d be gentle. I shivered in the dark, imagining his dark eyes drinking in my body, flushed and naked and wanting. I half wished, at that moment in my fantasy, that he would be gentle, and half prayed that he wouldn’t—I knew that from him I’d want it either way.

on the 17th march 1993,talent recruiter farrell de leon married upcoming actress and model martina moreno. eight years later, their golden girl sabrina de leon moreno was born. her family home was surrounded by love, her and her mother were the apple of her fathers eye, his first big break and their daughter. they remained in her mothers hometown of madrid for the first five years of sabrina’s life.

the family travelled around europe for most of sabrina’s adolesence, her parents jobs taking them across the world for weeks at a time, sabrina flying off to family members across europe. 

on sabrina’s thirteenth birthday, after years of homeschooling and travelling, farrell caught his biggest break yet, being hired by a huge agency in malibu. this big move was the first time sabrina expressed an interest in acting, and before she knew it, she was making her acting debut, the lead in a kids show (think disney channel vibes.)

continuing her homeschooling onside being on set, sabrina stayed on the show until her 17th birthday, using the money to buy a house in malibu. she got her ged, and used her already substantial following to make a name for herself, vlogging and making videos about fashion. 

steadily through her life, sabrina had been in the limelight. the biggest drawback of this? no privacy. at nineteen, photos of sabrina at a party made headlines, and suddenly she was hollywood’s new good girl gone bad. scandal after scandal followed the girl, leading her to the hamptons.

sabrina has lived here for two months now, mostly for work purposes, but mainly out of the way of papparazzi, easier to maintain her lifestyle that way. she still works as an influencer today, making youtube videos and tiktoks about fashion, and doing small acting jobs on the side
