So, I've been reading a lot of Ghost King AUs recently and... my hand slipped.

Prompt 317

IMAGINE THIS: Lil baby Damian, bored and being not quite old enough to start learning how to use proper weapons (curse these wooden ones, he wants true steel!) is wandering the base. This is not out of the ordinary, he’s the prince after all. What is out of the ordinary is that his shadow, his Akhi, is not here. 

Technically, he should be napping, but he woke up and neither his mother or his brother- who is quiet but gentle and isn’t a good speaker (mother said it was from a head injury)- is there. Which is how he finds his way to the Pit, which he’s not supposed to be at. Or at least not alone. 

But! His mother and Akhi are there! And- and Akhi is screaming and he’s never heard him scream like that, like he’s in agony- His eyes are green- they were blue, had, had Mother placed him in the Waters- 

And then the pool is bubbling- he should be running away, get assistance or something, he’s five, he shouldn’t be running towards it when everything is screaming to flee. But one moment he’s at the doorway, the next he’s clinging to his akhi as something writhes in the Pit, a mighty bellow echoing even as the Shadows take defensive positions. 

The water cascades, laps at their feet, splashes everywhere as a scaled form rises from the depths, wings like a bloodied sunset spreading as fur bursts into flames. Crimson eyes glare down at them all, pupils slits as they bare down at his Akhi. 

The creature- the dragon- dips its head down, its breath warm as it chuffs at his akhi, wings folding as though it is bowing. His akhi is clinging to Mother, shivering, several scars glowing as they fade and a burst of hair burned white. 

Oh.

Let’s get this out of the way up front, shall we? Yes, I made Vladislaus Straud sexy. But not just as a human. In my old story, he was a sexy vampire—

And a sexy personification of Fear Itself taking up residence in the body of 1500 year-old-vampire who had been divorced multiple times, had complicated relationships with his adult children and felt that murder was a very reasonable reaction to the florist delivering the wrong kind of flowers. 

I AM WHO I AM, OKAY?

Whew. Now that we have that out of the way, let's get to know Vlad!

Vlad is in law school. He loves his family and his best friend, and he would do any number of things for them that sound unsavory to most people but sound fun to him. He is both the wholesome part of this story and the bloodshed part. 

Vlad commutes to Britechester, which is how he prefers it. The entire Straud clan—grandparents, aunts, cousins, and siblings—live in a collection of houses and barns crammed together at the end of the road. It’s a semi-communal situation, which just means everyone technically has their own home, but no one respects boundaries. They have a loose relationship with legality but a strong sense of justice, which Vlad has inherited.

Although he does not like other sims, Vlad is not a loner per se. He struggles with the fact that the whole world is overwhelming and that he has to constantly pretend to emote, understand his emotions, and respond to statements in ways that aren’t alarming. But if he can be around sims where he can be himself, he’s happy to be in a group.

Okay, fine, Vlad is happy to be in a group even if that isn’t the case because he’s a bit of an asshole and gets off other’s misery.

Still, he wants to be loved. He just doesn’t think it's possible, especially since his ex made it very clear that he lacks a heart. Like Alice, he doesn’t really have a plan after graduation. Law School was more of a “thing to do” than a calling. But he will find something, or someone (not him) will die trying.

Prompt 80

 So Dan knows that there’s heroes that have gone back in time, he’s aware of that fact. But he doesn’t exactly care and has more important things to worry about. Like the fact that Danny and Ellie are now three years old, right when he’s moving, though maybe that’s a blessing in disguise seeing as the GIW are searching for them in Amity. 

  But still, he has more important things to worry about than the speedster vibrating five feet away from him. Like making sure Ellie and Danny are alright to visit (ugh) Peepaw Clocky while he goes to work. 

  Ms. Mercy is not messing around, which he appreciates in a workspace, but he has to wait for another opening in the daycare before he can bring his, as far as everyone else is aware, siblings who he got emergency custody of. 

  What with how Jazz is interning in Gotham, they figured Metropolis would be safer. Now if the speedster would stop following him, he would really appreciate it. He’s literally just an intern under Ms Mercy as an assistant, not even one of the scientists, and it’s not like his timeline of the end of the world exists anymore!

I haven’t slept and the monster high brain rot is winning so I’m gonna say it: I don’t like what they did to Kieran in the Pride comic. He needs a different boyfriend too I don’t like Spelldon. Kieran needs someone he can be petty with.
