I spent about 2 hours trying to sort out all kinds of issues with my sewing machine tension today, but in the end I learned a lot and managed to make decent progress! These are the sleeves for Arya's gambeson. I took super shiny, cheap dark brown vinyl and was able to alter it to a much more convincing leather-look finish! I did this largely with 60 grit sandpaper and a touch of mineral oil for conditioning.
