Fuck what did Travis do now? I read the comments on that post and it was about him going on a rant on Twitch and something about him putting people on twitter on blast? Is that it? That can’t be it, surely.

I don’t know what happened on twitter (I’ve been living under a rock the past two weeks) but from what I can tell with the twitch situation, Travis had an outburst while livestreaming Among Us roleplay:

Which made a lot of the viewers uncomfortable. Following the stream, there were two accounts given on reddit, from people who were involved in the game, stating that Travis realized his actions were impolite and aplogized: 

4 days ago: rif_king Hey guys, I'm BaseTrade, one of the players from this lobby and I saw this post and was a bit shocked so I wanted to clarify some things because this is super out of context, and I feel really unfair to everyone involved:

1.) For those that don't know the situation in this clip there are 2 players left alive: The glitch (Who's goal is to be the last man standing, can kill) and The Baby (Who wins the game if killed). It was a pretty funny standoff so nobody muted for the finale, which is why everyone was chatting, I think it's beyond fair to want the dead people, who are normally muted, to let them play out the forced end game as either impostors win through sabotage, or baby wins through death.

2.) re: the stuff that happened prior, ANY OF YOU WHO PLAY AMONG US KNOW HOW FRUSTRATING IT CAN BE GETTING TALKED OVER, people are quite literally justified in being upset when it happens to them. Travis may have come off as a bit like he was lecturing people, but both on stream, and privately after in group chat we all agreed that things were fine and nobody was truly upset.

17 hours ago: vincecaso Wanna add a vouch on here. I'm Vince, I put this lobby together. I don't doubt at all that there were moments that came off poorly on stream, and Travis has recognized that and, as BaseTrade said, apologized profusely for what happened. He apologized verbally while we were live, and we all had a chance to talk things out after the stream and fully resolve them and move forward as friends.

From the outside looking in I can totally understand how it was an uncomfortable experience for the viewer, I promise we are all cognizant of that - most of all Travis - but I can also tell you that the man does really care and put the work in to make it right, and there are no hard feelings between any of these players in the slightest.

I haven’t had a chance to learn further (because of the afformentioned rock-living.) Not finding his content entertaining or not wanting to engage with him is perfectly reasonable. But the number of people who 1.) are making judgement calls with little to no investigation 2.) judge his APPEARENCE before his actions and 3.) call his impulsivity fucking cringe is appalling.

Tbh i think Travis was probably just overwhelmed. I agree his behaviour was shitty, but i don't think you need to feel bad anytime you consume his content or w/. Afaik he apologised for it, I think Basetrade said on reddit they're chill.

Personally I don’t think I can watch mcelroy content ever again but to each their own, if someone else does I do not care. What I consume is what I consume, what other people consume is what they consume I don’t have any control over other’s eyes.

BUT

I agree it was probably overwhelming. There’s something so chaotic being added by someone like Chilled or Cheesy joining a lobby that doesn’t exist in Hafu or normal VinceCaso lobbies. It was probably such a change from how he had played in the past but the way he addressed it was like. ok bud. there’s a dm/pm button for a reason tho.

I don’t know about the apology thing because I don’t use reddit. As far as I know Chilled isn’t going to collab with them in the future but doesn’t harbor any ill will
