I’ve had the stupidest omegaverse idea and it’s bringing me so much joy to write fictional inheritance law as it applies to the extended Cinderella family in my incredibly silly omegaverse universe. It’s also providing the precedent that I needed to establish in order to make some of my convoluted political marriage ideas work, so I am feeling very accomplished in my daydream universe today
#please somebody talk to me about my convoluted political marriage ideas#I am Desperate To Talk#my fiance is wonderful as a human but he doesn’t like omegaverse and therefore is not a useful sounding board here#I have so many thoughts about inheritance law as written by people who are trying to legitimize themselves and their kingdoms only#while fully not thinking about the possibility of their families not working out to be perfect and heteronormative#like what’re you going to do if you’ve written in that only men can inherit??#sure you added a clause that your daughter can many a nobleman and he can rule by her side as a team situation#and her children will be considered legit for inheritance purposes#but what if your daughter can’t produce children with this man???#what if you’ve written specific inheritance clauses into your law because you are soooo worried about royal bloodlines??#what if there’s no eligible royal men who could help get you out of this situation??#anyway this is why there’s adoption and surrogacy laws regarding inheritance that are specific to Charmingsburg#which is Cinderella’s kingdom in my heart#Charmingdale is where Snow White lives but that’s actually just the city not the kingdom#I have a lot of thoughts that aren’t just hehe omegaverse sexy for this AU#like the population of the isle has way more male omegas and female alphas than Auradon does#in part because they’re less common in the general population and considered weird and deviant on some level#which means that they’re sort of pushed aside for being inconvenient and not fitting into the Prince/Princess dichotomy#and being pushed aside means that more of them are likely to align with villains#and therefore get sent to the isle#also talk to me about my incredibly useless chart of alpha/beta/omega subtypes#I have a whole fake scientific history about how they were established…..

I love you writing and I was hoping you could write Ben Florian x VK!Reader the reader is Lefou's kid. A soulmate AU where the negative things you think about yourself are marked on your soulmate's skin. Reader only has one or two things because Ben is from Auradon and has a good life and family. While Ben has around half a dozen. Reader is the one who gives Ben the love potion. During the lake scene they notice Ben is their soulmate and tries (but fails) to hide it thinking he deserves better
masterlist
There really is no good place for a prince. They are political figureheads in every sense of the phrase— too young to actually rule, too old to be allowed to skip state functions. They sit in corners of expensive meetings and cut ribbons in front of newly opened buildings, but they can’t do a whole lot except smile and pose.
Shame your friend seems so fixated on capturing one, then. It feels like you’ve just barely left the Isle of the Lost, only bid farewell to the entirety of your prior life experience hours ago, and yet already Mal is scheming about how to best tear down everything around you. If Prince Ben is the best way to fulfill her nefarious plans, then so be it.
The only problem is that you’re now involved in all of this, too. Mal wants a wand and so she’ll take a prince to get there, but as one of her best friends, you’ve been drafted into the plot to catch a prince. Ben won’t have any idea what’s coming. Shame, he would probably run if he had any clue.
Mal’s good at covering her tracks, though, she always has been. You can remember elaborate plans from when you were much younger to steal cookies or cloaks, spellbooks and shoes. At this point, hearing Mal tell you that she’s going to bewitch the crown prince of Auradon into falling in love with her shouldn’t surprise you, just the fact that she’s taken this long to come up with the idea.
Usually, you have no problem going along with Mal’s little adventures. They’re entertaining, at the least, a good way to pass a few days when you’ve already gone over every alleyway and hiding place on the Isle at least a dozen times in the last month. The issue is that you’re not on the Isle anymore, and maybe– just maybe– disrupting everything here isn’t entirely what you want to do.
Mal doesn’t know this, of course. None of your fellow VKs do. Every time they monologue and moan about how they can’t wait to get out of this place, you find yourself holding your tongue, biting back your real thoughts about how the school isn’t actually as bad as you feared. Sure, the constant judgment from the other children of princes and princesses isn’t all that fun, but Auradon Prep has its positives, too. For one thing, you think your soulmate might be here.
What a terrible thing for the child of a villain to prioritize. You’ve heard Mal scoff at the idea of a soulmate, and although Evie is certainly more interested in the idea than some of your other friends, you’re still not sure that you’d find a welcome audience amongst their ranks when it comes to tracking down your soulmate. After all, the odds of that soulmate being from Auradon and not the Isle are pretty high. They’ve all but told you that themselves.
All things considered, for a society with such control over magic and spells, it’s pretty difficult to find your soulmate. You’d always wondered why those in charge couldn’t shorten the whole affair to something more simple– a name on the wrist, perhaps, or an invisible string that only the two of you could see– but instead, soulmate magic went the complicated route. How lovely.
The story about the origin of the soulmate magic is convoluted and ancient, going back generations and changing with each family. The general consensus is that soulmates were created to preserve the sanctity of true love, with the idea that soulmates should be able to love each other entirely, flaws and all. So, when you think something negative about yourself, those very same thoughts will show up on the skin of your soulmate, something like a warning label for what they’re going to get themselves into.
This is all well and good for people with few negative thoughts, maybe they’ll have something here and there about a bad sports result or a poor test grade that their soulmate can chuckle over before meeting them. For you, though? You, the child of a villain, cursed to live forever on a too-small island with the other convicts and criminals, you have had more fears and hated things about yourself than most. Your soulmate must be covered in unhappy musings, which only makes you feel worse about yourself than before. A self-perpetuating cycle of the worst kind.
By contrast, the startling absence of your soulmate’s negative thoughts on your own skin makes you certain that they couldn’t be from the Isle of the Lost. There are only one or two fears on your skin, proof of loving parents and a stable home, and they’re minor things like a bad hair day or a fear of not doing their absolute best. These change, often leaving every few months to be replaced by something else insignificant.
What makes you most certain that your soulmate is the child of a royal is the one negative thought that has stayed on your skin since the very beginning. Your soulmate, whoever they are, is terrified that they will let down the king and queen. Only someone with close ties to the royalty could have such a fear, so it’s proof that your soulmate is somewhere here on Auradon.
So maybe you don’t want to leave this place, not yet. Not until you can learn who your soulmate is. It’ll be almost impossible to track them down on this information alone, but supposedly that’s how the whole thing is supposed to work. You learn about the worst parts of your soulmate, and then you get to love the best of them. The only problem is that you’re fairly sure that if your soulmate is a royal, they won’t want to love you at all.
It’s easier to ignore the whole affair. Easier to agree to Mal’s plan when she proposes enchanting Prince Ben. At least another one of your friend’s schemes will keep your mind off the soulmate affair.
That’s what you tell yourself, at least, but your conscience is starting to get steadily more vocal as the days go by. Ben is a nice guy, which hurts, surprisingly. Although the love spell may have been cast on Mal, as one of Mal’s closest friends, you’re around the two of them all the time. The boy you see is someone that you wish could be your soulmate. He may be a prince, and you may be a villain, but he makes you want to believe in love after all.
You certainly have the capacity for such musings. For some reason, the love spell didn’t take all that well, and although Ben is now compelled to stay with Mal more than he was before, it’s not like he’s totally obsessed with her as Mal had hoped. Mal claims it’s because love spells can never work fully due to the soulmate issue, like having a soulmate is a kind of shield to protect you against that sort of enchantment, but regardless, Ben has just enough independent thought that he can tell you jokes and try to make you smile like– well, like he tries to do with Mal.
The realization that Ben is a genuinely good person, and worse, someone you don’t want to trick, haunts you as you fall further into Mal’s scheme. You’ve been trying to push the whole thing from your mind, letting Ben join your soulmate in the depths of your mind you don’t want to touch, but your train of thought keeps circling back to him despite your best attempts otherwise.
Besides, it doesn’t help that Mal keeps trying to involve you in the plot. Right now, the two of them are at the Enchanted Lake, out on a cute little date. Mal had been making mock disgusted faces at you the whole time she was getting ready, but some part of yourself can’t stop whispering that this doesn’t seem so bad, actually, that the thought of being out here alone with Ben would make for a wonderful day instead of the tedious chore Mal is making it out to be.
Ben doesn’t know you’re here, though. Mal wanted backup in case something happened, so you’re lingering in the woods to keep anyone from stumbling upon the scene and also holding onto more magical baked goods in case Mal feels the need to renew the spell. It’s kind of like torture, strolling through this beautiful forest, knowing that Ben is so close and you are helping hold him under the thrall of this plot.
The storm in your mind must be thundering too loudly for you to think straight, because you lose track of yourself and accidentally walk too close to the lake. You weren’t supposed to be spotted, but before you can back away and melt back into the foliage, Ben looks up and sees you. You panic, immediately heading the way you’d come, but you hear footsteps after you moments later and Ben manages to track you down before you can go too far. Mal is so going to kill you for messing with her plan.
“Sorry,” you murmur, eyes wide when he finally catches up to you, “I didn’t realize the two of you were– I’ll go now.”
Ben shakes his head. “No, no, it’s alright. It’s not like we have a monopoly on the woods.”
He’s dripping water, most likely due to a recent dip in the lake, and you can’t seem to stop your gaze from following the path of the droplets as they cascade down his shoulders, across his hands, and, most importantly of all, over the swooping letters of the fears of his soulmates.
Usually, Ben wears long sleeves or something else to hide them. You can see why now– there are many of them, many more than you, perhaps half a dozen in all. You can’t read all of them from where you’re standing, just snippets about how a villain’s kid shouldn’t have a soulmate, how they’ll never amount to much, things like that. Things like what you’ve been thinking recently.
Ben must catch on to your train of thought, because he smiles weakly, absentmindedly scratching at a sentence proclaiming that his soulmate isn’t worth the good luck they get. “Yeah, my soulmate’s a little stressed, I guess. Hopefully, I can talk about that with them soon. I want them to know that they’re worth it, wherever they are.”
It had never occurred to you that hating yourself would make your soulmate this obsessed. You have no proof that Ben is your soulmate but–
But, as you watch, you can see a new fear appearing out of nowhere, wrapping itself around Ben’s left wrist. I’m not good enough for a soulmate this good. Just what you were thinking mere moments ago. It’s like proof.
Ben looks up slowly, and although you were never blessed with the ability to read minds, you swear you can tell exactly what he’s thinking right now. “Are you–” he starts, ends, tries again, “Do you know who your soulmate is?”
You can do several things at this moment. You can confirm what you’re mostly sure is true, you can lie, you can pretend you hadn’t heard him. You spot movement in the trees behind him, a flash of purple, and remember belatedly that Mal is still somewhere at the Enchanted Lake, waiting for Ben to come back and wondering why you’re holding him here for so long.
All of a sudden, the reality of the situation comes crashing down around your shoulders. This is not something that can happen. Ben is a prince. You are the child of a villain, and the friend of another VK who’s counting on you to continue fooling Ben so she can pursue her latest mad plan. There is no world in which this works out.
So, you force a smile, banishing all thoughts back into the deep recesses of your brain once more. “No,” you say, “I don’t know. I think they’re a VK, though.”
Ben’s face falls in a flash. “Really? Because I thought–”
You shake your head quickly. “I don’t– it’s not me. I think Mal is waiting for you, though. You shouldn’t keep her for long.”
Ben glances back over his shoulder in memory of the girl he’s left somewhere in the woods behind him, and when he looks back, you’re gone. You’re good at running. It’s a skill you’ve perfected over the years. You just never thought you’d have to use it now.
Prince Ben is your soulmate. Impossible. True. Mal comes back later that afternoon, tells you the date went splendidly despite your accidental intrusion. Ben must not have let the brief moment in the woods faze him for long. It hurts more than you care to admit.
There is only so much running a VK can do, try as they might to pretend otherwise. You avoid Ben at all costs, hoping that whatever foolish war is currently being fought inside your heart will come to a tolerable ceasefire if you just ignore it long enough. Mal tells you that the plan is going swimmingly, she’s never seen the prince more excited about the VKs and the upcoming coronation. You nod and smile and tell her that you’re glad everything is going to plan, but inside, you cannot seem to stop your mind from screaming.
And then, all of a sudden, despite your best attempts to remain out of sight, Prince Ben finds you. It’s completely out of the blue, so casual that you almost don’t realize it’s happening until he’s sitting down at your table in the library and it’s too late to run.
You feel like an animal caught in a trap. He’s just smiling like nothing is the matter. “I know it’s you,” he says by way of hello.
Your heart is stuck in your throat. “What?”
“I know it’s you,” Ben repeats, “I know you’re my soulmate. I had the Fairy Godmother do a little spell so I could check for you, but I think I knew since that day at the lake.”
You frown. “You can do that?”
He shrugs, looking a little embarrassed. “Not everyone can, I think. But I, uh, insisted.”
You grin. “Prince privileges?”
“Something like that.” He’s smiling, though, maybe pleased that you’re not trying to run off this time. “But you knew even without the spell, didn’t you?”
That does shake your uncertain sense of calm. “Yes,” you admit, “but I didn’t think you— I didn’t think it would work out.”
The look on Ben’s face is genuinely heartbreaking. “What, just because I’m a prince?”
He says it so casually, it’s almost funny. “Yes, Ben, because you’re a prince and I’m a VK. I mean, my dad was Lefou. He literally tried to ruin the happy ever after of your parents, why would you want someone like me to be your soulmate?”
“Same reason you shouldn’t be afraid to want me. You’re not your father, Y/N, and I’m not my parents. We’re just us, and I know that I want you to be my soulmate. I have since the start. I was hoping you would tell me you knew, but after a few days went by and you still said nothing, I figured I had to take matters into my own hands. Even if that meant using a spell or two.”
You keep waiting for the other shoe to drop, for him to laugh in your face and tell you it’s ridiculous to think that he would ever want a VK as a soulmate, but he doesn’t. In fact, you don’t think he ever will. As impossible as it seems, Ben wants someone who isn’t from a perfect fairy tale. He wants you. And that, lovely and wonderful and absolutely crazy, sounds like a fairly good happily ever after for you.

i saw someone headcanon a miraculous ladybug x descendants rise of red crossover with Red as Chat Noir and Chloe as Ladybug. But…. hear me out. Switch em around
Red as Ladybug
She already has the red and black scheme down
She’s very smart and cunning on the field and is shown to use her environment to her advantage
You know she’s one to come up with elaborate plans (just like her elaborate pranks)
She's not afraid to stand up to bullies due to her strong sense of justice and speak her mind, but she's also not afraid to bend the rules a little
Her double life: getting into trouble for rebellious acts so no one expects her to be the heroic and responsible Ladybug
(Honestly just use her fit during her intro song.)
Yoyo = pocketwatch?
Chloe as Chat Noire
She's a straight A student who is involved in loads of activities including founder of the french club, president of the Auradon historical society and captain of the swordfighting team - a representation of a perfect princess
Giving her the mask allows her to relax from the expectations of being the perfect princess
Imagine the double life: her being a goody two shoes in the day (very princess, very demure) but a flirtatious and charming (its in her name) black cat at night
Also, she loves to make puns
She'd get blue eyes instead of the green black cat eyes
And I think we’d still get Bridget/Queen of Hearts as Hawkmoth/Mayura and uses her card deck to reign terror on Auradon
Can't forget the love square and roommate hijinks.
I think we would get a reverse love square tho
Chloe's been enamored by Red ever since they started at Auradon Prep and watched as Red stood up to a bully on the first day on campus.
Red perceives Chloe as a privileged princess that's naive and soft and one of the snotty popular ones. Chloe eventually shows her that she's more than what Red initially thought she was. Chloe can't bring herself to flirt with Red outright given the whole Perfect Princess expectations everyone else has of her.
As Ladybug, Red develops a crush on Chloe's Chat Noire who is ever so charming and makes puns all day, but unafraid to match Red's Ladybug's wit while being a knight in shining armor (unafraid to take the hits for her).
Chloe's Chat Noire sees Red's Ladybug who is very focused on the mission and after seeing her convoluted plan work with their first villain, allows Ladybug to most of the heavy planning, instead choosing to support her as her knight in shining armor. Chloe's a lot better at flirting as Chat Noire without all the pressure from everyone else around her.
The two are roommates, and thank goodness neither of them are ever present when the Queen of Hearts uses her Deck, nor do they press on about any of the lame excuses each one of them gives the other (somehow, neither of them end up running into each other)

Rise of Red
So I’m watching this movie and doing Simone Biles levels of mental gymnastics to make this all connect to the original story and have the plot holes fill in. Here are my attempts at cohension from the beginning:
SPOILERS!!!!
It’s been 30 years since Auradon was founded.
The math isn’t mathing but sure, let’s say after D3, everyone went on adventures, Ben and Mal got married and they all took time to mature and grow in their roles. As the years have passed, they recognize what a terrible job Beast did as a leader and they want to increase trade and foreign relations with other countries.
Uma says that Ben and Mal put her in charge of everything while they (along with Evie and Jay) are making alliances with other countries.
Of course! Because Beast sucks as a leader so they don’t trust him to take back over even if only temporarily. Gil and Harry (and most of the pirates we’ve seen) are missing from Uma’s crew, because she asked them to help Ben and Mal on their journey. Hook is serving as Captain in Uma’s absence and Jay and Gil have grown very close since traveling Auradon together through the years so it makes sense.
Chad is Cinderella and Charming’s son, but Chloe will one day be queen of Cinderellasburg.
Cinderella and Charming had fertility issues at first and Chad is adopted. Chloe is their miracle baby and, though younger, is the true-born heir to the throne. They love and support Chad in all things and have pampered him his whole life. Given the struggles they had to conceive, they don’t regret showering Chad with love but they recognize he’s a bit spoiled and not fit to be king one day.
The future shows Red and the Queen of Hearts ruling on the throne together. I guess we’re assuming since she’s black and red it means she’s evil.
We never actually see that this future is prevented. The ultimate endgame may still be the same, that Red rules with her mother. I’m going to say, this future was not prevented, just that the Queen of Hearts turn to evil was delayed.
In the past, many of the heroes and villains that we know are in high school together.
Many but not all. This is just a blip in their histories and the stories to come in the future are still canon. We don’t actually see any of the villain/hero pairs (Maleficent & Aurora) (Hook & Peter Pan) (Hades & Hercules) so outside of two couples being established (Jasmine and Aladdin in love and Ella and Charming flirtation/mutual pining) there’s nothing that makes some of the stories automatically false. I’d say some of the events in high school just blacken their hearts more and turn them into real villains.
Bridget and Ella’s personalities seem to be switched (with a more evil skew on Bridget’s end as an adult). This one is long.
Ella was Bridget’s only friend and because she was grounded, she wasn’t supposed to be able to make it to the Castlecoming. She cancels on Bridget and leaves her alone. However, Fairy Godmother is also friends with Ella and has been practicing her magic more and is now in possession of a powerful spellbook (more on that later). She wants a way to help her and is finally successful casting an enchantment that gets Cinderella to the dance for a short time. When her curfew hits, the spell will be reversed and send her home. When she gets to the dance, instead of finding Bridget, she gets caught up in Charming and after the song playing changes to So This is Love, they share their first dance. The two are so engrossed in each other and discovering their feelings are mutual that she doesn’t notice anyone or anything else. However, Bridget sees her and is excited at first until she realizes Ella isn’t seeking her out. She’s stuck on Charming. The song playing when Ella walked in is Shuffle of Love and Bridget is trying to focus but makes a mistake. She turns again to Ella to see if she’ll jump in and help but she’s still too distracted by Charming. Left heartbroken she moves and just watches them on the dance floor while staying isolated on the sidelines. She tries to ignore her feelings because she should be happy for Ella but she can’t stop crying a little. She should’ve been there for her. Isn’t that what friends are for? Then, Uliana comes to talk to her and seemingly comfort her. For a second, she thinks she’s coming around to be her friend. She doesn’t think twice when she offers her a cupcake. Suddenly she’s transformed to a monster and everyone around her starts laughing. Ella and Charming’s attention is finally broken from each other and they turn to see what’s going on. Upon seeing this monster, they laugh too thinking it’s just a prank—with no idea who the monster is. But Bridget’s last shred of hope is broken seeing her only friend laugh at her pain after ignoring her the whole night. When Ella finally realizes who it is, she tries to run after her and loses her shoe. She almost catches her to comfort her but then is whisked away by Fay’s spell and finds herself back at, sitting in the barn. Ella, still grounded is left feeling a mixture of joy, love, pain and regret from the events of the night. She can’t contact Bridget or see her until school starts again on Monday. By Monday it’s too late. Bridget, having spent the weekend with no one to talk to or comfort her decides Love Ain’t It and takes on a new mantra for her life. She looks into the Looking Glass and sees her evil future with her daughter. Fine, if that’s what she becomes, why try? At school, Ella tries to apologize and beg for forgiveness but it’s too late. She tries to tell her how her kindness made her strong, how she’s always respected that about her and loves her like a sister but it’s not enough. She tries to show her with her actions. She takes on the persona Bridget always had because it was good, it was kind, it was true strength. She doesn’t want to suffer for one mistake and doesn’t want Bridget to allow that night to define her, but again, it’s too late. Bridget already knows how this story ends and it’s not with love and friendship. She decides to let the fear and power be her friend and becomes the worst bully they’ve ever seen.
Uliana and her crew were troublemakers so would never have been able to open the spellbook and prank Bridget.
Before Red and Chloe showed up, Uliana and her crew were going to lure someone else in to get the book. Fay! They manipulated her with fear and hope—the promise that she could use the Sorcerer’s book when they were done to perfect her magic. So she did it, just like her daughter tried to take the wand in D1.
Merlin just lets Red and Chloe into school, partners them with their mothers “coincidentally” and sees the open window after the break in but doesn’t try to find out who else was able to escape.
He’s aware that Red and Chloe are time travelers and knows there’s a reason to change the timeline as they have. He knows what’s to come with Beast banning magic and shipping off the villains. He wants to change that story too and these girls are the catalysts. This change in history is going to open the doors for magic to be welcomed back to Auradon in the future as they return and have to fix what they’ve changed.

Would you? Maybe
Chloe Charming 💙 x fem!reader
Here you go my loves, I hope you like it! If you do and want more let me know!
I'm also up for ideas 🙌🏻
Auradon. A seemingly perfect kingdom for anyone, anykind, some people described it as magical even, though there wasn't really anything magical about it, and all kinds of magic were long forgotten here, some forbidden.
A place where people aren't as kind as they are pictured to be, most of them even crueler than the worst villains. You would have thought differently.
Being sent here after told fairytales, you'd expect royals to be nice, welcoming. They might have been, although their children are the real pain in the ass.
You were wondering, why has your dad even sent you here? It's not like you were needed in this world of mortals, well magical mortals.
Don't you think wrongly of course, you always wondered how it is here, and have always dreamt of living here, even just for a while.
It's just.
You'd never expect them to be mean to you purely out of spite? They whispered behind your back, they talked mean, even laughed at you loudly, which was something not ordinary for you given in that you never once had done something bad.
You have been here for merely 2 months, it was quite a long time for one, but not so much for you, still yet getting used to the time going a bit faster here you haven't really exchanged a word with anyone other than the professors at the school and maybe 2 students.
Well, until now.
A girl with a big shiny sword hung close to her hip bumped right into you. being slightly taller than a normal sized teenager, for a god shrunken to this size, you stood still keeping your posture straight and your head high as taught to you by your dear mother. The girl wasn't so lucky, sat on the ground she groaned in pain.
"I am so so sorry!" You quickly yelled, trying to help the girl to stand, not really being aware of how loud you are. Yet another thing, to get a hold on, being different from your home grounds. "You're just so small and I-I just wasn't looking, and-"
"Hey, get off her! You prideful weirdo!" Another girl came running in, quickly fisting you away from the gorgeous blue haired girl that was just standing hazed 2 feet away.
You always admired her, her total bluntness and a kind hand, her swordsmanship. Welp, you were an observer if you couldn't yet decipher.
"Aye, I'm not prideful, why would you think that?" You shot back at the possessive girl, her gritted teeth told you she was certainly not the kind one.
"You have been nothing but walking around with your head stuck up, like you're all better than anyone here!" She shot fires up you "You're not by the way." glaring she spat out.
"Hey, Red calm down. It's nothin-"
"You better take your 'I'm a god, you better respect me before I make your life a misery' act out of here, before I make you a feast to the Jabberwocky! So much for being exactly like your father" Red, the truly rebellious princess of Wonderland, yelled cutting the other in process. Making a scene out in the gardens of the school.
Of course, you were not totally oblivious to your surroundings, you knew your royals, and your ways around the kingdoms, around Auradon especially. Actually ruling one of yours for quite a short time, you knew better than to get involved in silly high school fights. Being committed to get to know this world better.
You could take any kinds of insults, you really could, an insult she supposedly thought was very harsh. But you actually wanted to be exactly like your father.
Not so much a cocky god. You never thought of yourself as the goddess such great that everyone had to be bowing to you every second they see you.
You were a powerfull being, truly you knew how big of a power you posessed, but making others your play dolls was never in your intention, even when people higher above you insisted on you having maids and others sorta type
But you knew better than to make the girl regret her words, especially because you felt she knew she was wrong deeply in her heart, and also a bit broken. You walked past her, sparing her just a graceful smile and a kind eye.
Stoic you were indeed, no one would question, they just have been so distant as to not anger you? you suppose, you were confused as to why they feared you, not that you would actually do anything while going to school. You were just a kid after all
~•~
Later in the day, that you basically spent just sitting under a willow tree, contemplating of your life. Where you really that bad? Just a cocky god? A stuck up daddy's girl?
Of course you knew this stupid 'argument' if you could call it that, shouldn't vary of you thinking badly of yourself. You were someone after all. (Even though you didn't want to think like that, you had a life experience of being in the presence of literal gods with gods complex, however stupidly it may sound)
Your life-long session of rethinking your life was cut short, due to a loud thud of a sword crashing with the ground. The same gorgeous girl sat there beside you, scarring you in the process.
"Oh im sorry, I should've asked if I could sit-"
"No no, its okay, its not like I have someone to sit with me in the first place" you snorted placing your head ond your knees wrapped up in your hands "I could use some company, it gets so lonely here."
"I'm sorry, Y/n" the girl placed her hand on your shoulder, you jumped at the sudden touch, scared she quickly took it off. You frowned, missing her soft touch already. "for my friend.."
"It's okay, Chloe."
Yes, you knew her name.
How could you not? she was the captain of the Roar team, you grew to like the swording competitions here, lets say they were entertaining...not just for this one particular blue reason..
"She gets defensive quickly, and looses her temperament even quicker, and she's quite hard to maintain, she didn't meant those words I hope you know, you're like- wait" she stopped her rambling "you know my name?"
"I am a god darling, I know everything" You grinned as she looked away, blushing slightly "But so you know I don't use it to my own advantage, it's not like me to be this 'God' everyone thinks of" you shrugged, hiding deeper in your arms.
"You're actually so nice and wise and nothing alike these rumors, not like-" she began, probably wanting to ramble on again but you cut her off. Even though you would love to just listen to her talk for hours on and on.
"My family?"
"Yes" she took a soft breath in as you looked deeper into her soul.
The wind danced briefly around her curls of hair, brown with a mix of blue, she looked astonishing, Her lightly arched brows and deep dark brown eyes held feelings and thoughts you couldn't quite read.
And did you even want to? You could if you insisted on it,, but these were not your intentions for now. Not ever. You'd love to get to know her thoughts, coming only straight from her blabering cutely mouth.
Her soft, pink, plump lips, parted lightly as she exhaled the air, you admired her every feature.
The blue zip up blouse she wore slightly creasing as she sat in the same position as you, turning her head in the direction of the enchanted lake, Her gaze softening with every second she stared at the view before her, dazed, as almost always when she looked at something she really appreciated.
She looked beautiful. She was beautiful
But even those words were an insult in describing such a masterpiece.
She was a piece of art, a muse, the most precious and fragile exhibit in the museum. She was the moment you wanted to live in forever, take in, tresure. She was more than you'd anticipate heaven to be.
"Could you tell me about them? Y/n?"
The way your name rolled off her tounge so perfectly, so smoothly, almost like it was made for just her to say it.
It made you shiver, although you could not have felt the cold, you did feel the goosebumps on your skin. Nothing has ever made you feel like that. Ever.
"What would you like to know princess Charming?" She was a princess and she certainly was charming, creeping her way to your heart, digging a path through the maze of high walls you put up, just to tumble them down the second she looked into your eyes with that hazed expression. With a smile so bright not even the sun could compare. You could not look away, she trapped you into a trance, her orbs like a big rabbit hole dragging you deeper and deeper in.
"How are they like? Are they even a tiny bit like they are described as? Tyranical? Huge? Terrifying?" she took ahold of your leg, clearly needing some sort of physical touch, like she would die without it. Desperate, feeling like you would dissappear in a second, being just a mist, she had imagined you many times.
"They are not. Not much that I think of" You stated grazing her hand, she deeply inhaled at the sudden touch initiated by you, it hasn't gone unnoticed of course.
You took her ring off as you began playing with it. No protests coming from Chloe, as she just admired how swift you were with it, as swift as the queen of hearts with her deck of cards. She observed. "They are a bit fucked in the head, yes. I mean who would declare a war on their sibling?" You laughed, it was truly funny to you, considering it was not that serious as people might think it was "But, they are also just normal beings"
"My father, the one and only, Zeus, is the best father I could ask for, I might even go as far as to say he is a big plush toy, smiling from ear to ear, with a heart so red of love, a true bear" Chloe laughed loudly, showing her amazingly beautiful white teeth and creased eyes.
She was truly charming, living up to her name.
"Trust me, I know some of it" you both giggled, of course she was a daddys girl too.
"He was always so caring, he would spent every second of the day with me if he could, always showing me the best of both worlds, the mortal and the immortal" you stopped "From the begging he used to say I'm going to take his place at the olympus. He said he just knew i was the right one to carry his great legacy, that I had the power within me, uncomparable to his and those of his siblings" you stopped for a second, throwing a pebble in the water "My brother Hercules gave up on being a god for his love" you stopped again looking high in the sky "A ruler of Olympus could never be with a mortal, thus you have to marry a god, if you want to marry at all"
"But that would mean basically marrying your uncles or cousins, wouldn't it? why would anyone choose to marry their cousin?" Chloe looked confused, you just nodded and sighned.
"If you want to have children, you must marry. But I would nerver do that" you looked at her "I want to be the ruler, I have wanted that since I can recall" a tear fell down your face "But i also want to love"
It was only now she got the hand of your features, she alway admired you but not up this close.
You were truly a god, the soft but strong features confused her, you looked so dazzling at the same time looking like you'd tear her alive if she even was thinking of speaking a wrong word to you. Your eyes darted between the trees and the water of the enchanted lake, throwing pebbles with your hands once in a while. You spoke so smoothly, as opposed to how you carried yourself, your tone of voice was like a melody of million playing harps. Looking into the distance, telling her your life story of how you were the gold stained child, always cherished, always praised, but never too much. About how the gods were truly perfect, perfect parents, nothing alike these she was taught about at school all these years ago. She'd never even excpect some things that came out of your mouth would be the truest of truth a few months ago.
Although she alwas caught you cheering everyone on her tournaments. You never once turned down a sweet treat from Zellie, the sweetest student alive. You were always prepared in class. And you were the nicest person alive. All nothing like the gods described in textbooks.
"I have always wanted to fall in love. I suppose I'm sentenced on hundred years of being by myself" you spoke quietly as another tear fell down the same cheek.
Chloe turned to you, wiping the stain off your cheek, staring at your eyes. Her hand lingered in the same place as if it was glued, only her thumb moved ever so slightly, caressing your skin, almost like a ghost touch. Her little smile prominent. You got lost in her, a full force holding you down, not letting you move as much as an inch, fearing she would let go of you almost instantly. You exhaled sharply as her thumb grazed your lips.
"Would you give up on being a god if i told you I loved you?"

watching ror again (this time with more attention to detail), and here is what i've newly picked up on/noticed/want to point out again:
red doesn't want to be queen, doesn't like to be called princess
chloe has a very high sense of duty and honor to her family ("but when i'm out there i'm not just another competitor, i represent cinderellasburg" when talking about her dad signing her up for sns and reminding her that it was supposed to be about having fun)
chloe is part of the auradon historical society??
"and why you'll make a great queen" what about chad??
queen of hearts= empress of wonderland (ie. higher title than chloe should red take the throne)
"get it right or i'll show you punishment!!" yeaaa red had a SHITTY and traumatic childhood under a controlling and abusive mother
"im just a girl, arms open wide, looking for kindness, somewhere in your eyes" soooo even after all that red just wants her mom to love her and accept her and show her kindness! she was never a villain
wait. how does bridget know what red was thinking/singing about if red hadn't opened her mouth? this might just be a musical thing but hm. ability to detect emotions? they somehow connected in a way?
"rule a million years with you right next to me" okay so they probably live longer than auradonian people
og bridget doesn't allow red to eat sweets but red likes them
so qoh's cards have magic that connect directly to wonderland and can summon guards out of thin air, be used as ninja stars (strong enough to break fg's wand in half) and enlargen to create obstacles
lmao without mal as security auradon prep has none (substantial enough)
"everything i do is for you" qoh loves red in her own twisted way
umm i do think cinderella was (intentionally or not) involved in the prank. bridget directed the "humiliating a girl at her first dance, turning her into a monster in front of everyone" at ella and ella just said "you're right" ("you didn't care then, you were off with your prince")
"now make me proud, for once" red only indirectly sentenced ella to death to satisfy her mother and gain acceptance 🗣🗣 bottom alert (and bc ella indirectly challenged her lmao) also what she actually said was "treason. she's guilty of treason" qoh actually called the beheading
qoh kissed red's cheek when she did what she wanted (ie. physical affection as a reward??)
CHLOE WAS PULLING OUT HER SWORD AND WAS ABOUT TO CHARGE AT HER MOM AND THAT WAS WHY RED CHARGED AT HER AND ACCIDENTALLY PULLED HER ALONG THROUGH THE TIME TRAVEL
wait red is actually pretty good at fighting/athletic/stealthy. she held her own against a charming with skilled swordsmanship
("you're not gonna catch me when i fall" "maybe" with the lil up down checking out red look, chloe PLS)
("princess, goody two shoes, boo" just throwing nicknames are we)
"and if i'm the next princess of auradon, it's only a matter of time before she tries to turn me into a mini-me. i'm not gonna let that happen" okay so that's her worst fear. of turning into her mom
"okay i accept your mission" very knight-ly behavior much?
"i love history! don't you?" "uh uh" help-
whoa merlin academy has a lot of wands and magic around, esp compared to auradon prep
awww hades holding maleficent's hand
it looks like red's never seen musical instruments before with the way she looking at everything and picking them up lmao
bridgella <33
red's reaction to ella's punishment and grounding by her stepmother shows that she's experienced the same thing and is Traumatized
red comforting chloe after they look through the looking glasssss
okayy so chloe thinks red is a bad person just bc she wants to "break in and steal" even though that's like the only option?
gay conversation about red being a good person, "your own person" in front of the frozen vks
red believes she's a bad person herself, "a lost cause" bc she "lie, cheat, steal"
chloe believes she's a good person bc she stood up to a bully and "risked your life to save mine"
okay so morgie was the only one not with uliana and her crew bc he was on the lookout... which i think is an important detail that is different from the og timeline... and he seems nice... maybe he was the one who helped uliana actually open and read the cookbook instead? for the prank? hm
#whoa this turned into a whole ass commentary#ANYWAYS#i loved watching it the second time hehe#and ship glassheart as harder as ever#THEYRE SO CUTE!!#glassheart#wenz can talk#descendants#descendants the rise of red#charminghearts#red of hearts#red of wonderland#chloe charming#queen of hearts#princess bridget#bridgella#ella tremaine

Okay but the Queen of Hearts would've been SUCH a fan of Audrey during D3.
Gimme an AU where she hears that Auradon is under attack, and she learns that it's some pretty princess in pink who's managed to spell the majority of the kingdom to sleep, transform the king of said kingdom into a beast like his father, and turn the children of some of the most sinister villains into stone in ONE DAY.
She just poofs right next to her in Fairy Cottage, with her cute little smile and is like "you need some help?"
In a good ending, they get therapy together and Audrey has a new role model to look up to.
In a bad ending, they rule the world with an iron fist and Red has a new older sister.

The day you arrived in Auradon, you expected to hate every minute of it. After all, you were the Princess of Hearts, daughter of the Queen of Hearts, and this place was nothing like Wonderland. Here, everyone smiled too much, everything was in perfect order, and rules were followed without question. It was almost sickening. But your mother had insisted that you go, claiming it was an opportunity to expand your horizons. Deep down, you knew she wanted you to learn how to navigate the politics of other kingdoms. So, you swallowed your pride, adjusted your crown, and stepped off the royal carriage onto the pristine grounds of Auradon Prep.
Almost immediately, you were greeted by Prince Ben, the heir to the throne of Auradon, and a host of other students who looked like they’d stepped out of a fairy tale. They were all so bright, so polished, so disgustingly nice. “Welcome to Auradon, Princess Y/N” Ben said with a warm smile. “We’re honored to have you here”. You returned his smile with a polite one of your own, though it didn’t reach your eyes. “Thank you, Prince Ben” you replied, your tone cool but civil. As Ben introduced you to a few of the other students, you noticed a group of individuals lingering at the edge of the courtyard. They were dressed in darker clothing, their expressions less welcoming, more cynical. These, you realized, must be the children of the villains, the ones who had been brought to Auradon in an effort to reform them.
One of them, a boy with tousled brown hair and piercing blue eyes, caught your attention. He was leaning against a pillar, his arms crossed over his chest, a smirk playing on his lips as he watched you. There was something almost predatory about the way he looked at you, as if he was sizing you up. Ben noticed your gaze and followed it to the boy. “Ah, that’s Harry Hook” he said, his tone growing a bit wary. “Son of Captain Hook. He can be a bit... challenging, but he’s not all bad”. You raised an eyebrow, intrigued despite yourself. “Is that so?”. Ben nodded, clearly trying to be diplomatic. “He’s just… had a different upbringing. But we’re all working together to help him adjust”. “Hmm,” you hummed, your interest piqued. If there was one thing you understood, it was the value of power, and it was clear from the way Harry carried himself that he was used to wielding it, even if it was in a different form than you were accustomed to.
The rest of the day passed in a blur of introductions and tours, but your thoughts kept drifting back to Harry. There was something about him that unsettled you, something that sparked a fire in your chest, a fire you couldn’t quite be extinguished.
It didn’t take long for you and Harry to cross paths again. It happened during a sword fighting class, of all places. You had been given the option to choose an elective, and you had chosen sword fighting, hoping it would be a way to release some of your pent up frustration. You hadn’t expected to see Harry there, but as you entered the training grounds, you found him sparring with another student. His movements were quick and fluid, his eyes focused as he easily disarmed his opponent. There was a wildness to him, a sense of barely restrained chaos that sent a thrill through you. When his gaze met yours, a slow, wicked grin spread across his face. “Fancy seeing you here, Princess” he drawled, his accent thick and teasing. You lifted your chin, refusing to be intimidated. “I didn’t realize pirates were allowed to play with swords. I thought you preferred sneaking around in the shadows”.
His grin widened, and he sauntered over to you, his movements predatory and confident. “Care for a round, Your Highness? Or are you afraid of a little competition?”. Your hand instinctively went to the hilt of your sword, your competitive nature flaring to life. “I’m not afraid of anything, Hook”. His eyes darkened with amusement, and he stepped back, gesturing for you to take your stance. “Let’s see if that’s true”.
The moment the match began, you realized you had underestimated him. Harry was fast- faster than you expected- and he fought with a reckless abandon that threw you off balance. But you were no stranger to combat, and you quickly adjusted, meeting his strikes with calculated precision. The two of you circled each other, blades clashing in a flurry of motion. Each time you thought you had the upper hand, Harry would counter with a move so unexpected, it left you scrambling to regain your footing. But what surprised you most was the way he pushed you, challenged you in a way no one else ever had. He wasn’t afraid to take risks, to push boundaries, and it forced you to do the same.
Finally, with a swift movement, Harry disarmed you, sending your sword clattering to the ground. He stepped forward, his blade at your throat, his eyes gleaming with triumph. You stared at him, breathing hard, your heart pounding in your chest. For a moment, the two of you were locked in a tense standoff, neither willing to back down. Then, to your surprise, Harry lowered his sword, his expression softening slightly. “You’re better than I thought, Princess,” he said, his voice low and almost… admiring. You narrowed your eyes, not sure if he was mocking you or being sincere. “And you’re not as insufferable as I expected, Hook”.
He chuckled, stepping back and sheathing his sword. “High praise coming from you”.
You didn’t respond, but you couldn’t deny the strange sense of respect that had formed between you. There was something about Harry, something dangerous and exciting, that made you want to keep sparring with him, both in and out of the training grounds.
Despite your initial animosity, you found yourself drawn to Harry more and more as time went on. The two of you would often find yourselves bickering, trading barbs and insults whenever you crossed paths, but there was an undercurrent of something else beneath it all, something neither of you wanted to acknowledge. It was during a particularly chaotic day at Auradon Prep that things between you and Harry took an unexpected turn. A group of students from Wonderland had arrived for a visit, and with them came a series of challenges and tests designed to assess the skills of Auradon’s students. You had been tasked with overseeing the trials, and naturally, Harry had found a way to insert himself into the proceedings.
The day had been going relatively smoothly until one of the Wonderland students, a particularly tricky Cheshire Cat, decided to stir up some trouble. He had conjured a labyrinth of illusions that trapped several students inside, leaving you and Harry to navigate the maze together in search of the missing students. “Stay close” you warned Harry as you led the way through the twisting corridors of the maze. The walls shifted and shimmered, making it difficult to tell what was real and what was an illusion.“Afraid I’ll get lost, Princess?” Harry teased, though there was an edge to his voice that suggested he was taking the situation more seriously than he let on. “More like afraid you’ll get in my way” you shot back, though your tone lacked its usual bite. As the two of you made your way deeper into the maze, you found yourselves working together more seamlessly than you ever had before. Harry’s instincts and quick thinking complemented your strategic approach, and before long, you had managed to find the first of the missing students. But it wasn’t until you reached the heart of the maze that you encountered the real challenge. The Cheshire Cat had conjured a series of traps that required both strength and cunning to overcome, and it quickly became clear that you would need to rely on each other if you wanted to succeed.
There was a moment when you were both hanging precariously from a collapsing platform, your lives literally in each other’s hands. Harry’s grip on your wrist was firm, his eyes locked on yours as he pulled you to safety. “Don’t let go” he muttered, his voice surprisingly earnest. “I won’t” you promised, and for the first time, you felt a true connection between you, a bond forged in the heat of battle.
When you finally escaped the maze, both of you were exhausted, bruised, and more than a little worse for wear. But as you collapsed onto the grass outside the labyrinth, breathing heavily, you couldn’t help but laugh. Harry looked at you like you had lost your mind, but then he chuckled too, the sound low and warm. “You’re insane, you know that?”. “Maybe” you admitted, still grinning. “But so are you”. He shook his head, a smile tugging at his lips. “Guess that’s why we make a good team”. You looked at him, really looked at him, and for the first time, you saw something other than a rival or an enemy. You saw someone who challenged you, pushed you, and made you better. And in that moment, you realized that you didn’t hate Harry Hook, not even close. Your heart fluttered at the prospects of the future in front of you.

Descendants 4 headcanon/theory || the Hook family
❥๑━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━๑❥
I’ve been doing a lot of thinking ever since I first watched Rise of Red, and I mean a lot. In recent days, that old middle school mystery I used to ponder about who the Hook childrens’ mother is has come back to haunt me once again. So, after a lot of reliving my past Descendants obsession (and a fair amount of fanfic reading), I came up with this theory— it’s really just headcanons— about Harriet, Harry, CJ, and Red’s parentage. Let me know what you think! This is the first time I’ve actually posted something on Tumblr so we’ll see how this goes lol.
❥๑━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━๑❥
Captain James Hook and Bridget, the Queen of Hearts
Harriet Hook’s mother is the Queen of Hearts. Harriet and her fraternal twin sister, Red (bear with me), were born shortly after the creation of the Isle of the Lost. During this time, James lived in Wonderland with Bridget and helped command her army while she ruled the kingdom, thus avoiding imprisonment on the Isle. James, who had a passion for traveling, often left to visit with his crew and other villainous friends there by permission of Auradon, which sparked jealousy in Bridget, unbeknownst to him.
When Auradon Kingdom informed the Kingdom of Wonderland that the doorway between their worlds would soon be sealed for good, a massive argument ensued between Bridget and James. James wanted to leave Wonderland and live on the Isle with his crew mates and friends, and he wanted Bridget and the twins to come with him. Bridget was adamant on keeping her throne, however, and she forbid James from setting foot outside of Wonderland. After some time, it became clear that their relationship was over, and Bridget could no longer stand keeping James imprisoned in her territory.
They made a heartfelt agreement that they would part ways, and James left to go live on the Isle, taking Harriet with him. This separation caused the Queen of Hearts to turn extremely bitter, and she never told Red about her sister or father. Because time passes at a slower rate in Wonderland than it does everywhere else, Red aged much more slowly than her sister, so much so that by the time she began to attend Auradon Prep, she was younger than CJ, the youngest of James’s children. Harriet began to age at a normal rate the second she and her father left for the Isle, and that day is often considered to be her birthday despite her having been alive for nearly two years in Auradon-time (she was physically only a few months old though). As a result, she is essentially two years older than her brother, Harry. Try not to think about it too hard.
❥๑━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━๑❥
Captain James Hook and Sarah Sanderson
Harry and CJ Hook’s mother is Sarah Sanderson. James and Sarah never really had an official relationship, seeing as both quite enjoyed keeping up with their own long lists of love affairs during their time on the Isle. One would say that their blatant disloyalty to each other is what enabled them to get along as well as they did.
It was thought that Sarah maintained a relationship with James not only because he was attractive and a total flirt— not so different from her— but because he reminded her of Billy Butcherson when he was alive, or rather, a version of him from her dreams that boasted a much more unruly personality. Similarly, James found himself drawn to Sarah not just because of her beauty and flirtatiousness, but because she reminded him of Bridget, or rather, a version of her from his dreams where she was still sweet and playful and wasn’t totally blinded by her power.
It should also be mentioned that their relationship lasted a while because without access to magic, Sarah (and her sisters) couldn’t cause James any real harm as that is what usually happened with her unfortunate lovers.
Of the two, James was the better parent. He (mostly meaning his first mate Smee) took sole care of the children since their birth. He was coldest towards Harry yet somehow earned the most admiration from him despite not really warming up to his son until he grew past Peter Pan’s age. Sarah did show a bit of an uncharacteristic affection towards her children when she was with them, but ultimately her loyalty towards her sisters prevailed and she remained rather distant, only visiting with them before full moon rituals (when she didn’t forget, that is). It sounds cold, but she was one of the more caring parents on the Isle, and James was one of the best, personally teaching each of them important skills about survival, fencing, sailing, and literature (Harry never caught on to the reading thing, though, and James didn’t have the patience to make him sit still long enough to teach him).
Winnifred and Mary only knew of Harry’s existence. This is because Sarah is an awful liar and did not do a good job of hiding her pregnancy. Winnie was furious when she discovered this, but because there was no magic on the Isle, she couldn’t do much about it. When the baby turned out to be a boy, she began crafting a plan to get rid of him, but Sarah told this to James in secret and he had his crew steal back the child.
Sarah’s visits with James frequently became more prolonged after that, to the point where her spending months away at a time with him—expecting their daughter— hardly phased her two sisters (they thought unseriously of her and assumed she was off galavanting around with more lovers or searching for potion ingredients). They never found out about CJ and were pleased to see Sarah return not long after the baby was born.
Harry inherited his parents’ flirtatious (and slightly unhinged) nature. He has his father’s dark hair and his mother’s eyes. CJ has her mother’s blonde hair and her father’s eyes. Harry grew up not caring too much about maintaining a relationship with his mother because he felt offended that she always acted colder towards his sister, Harriet. He didn’t think it was fair that she be neglected of attention because she had a different mother— in his eyes, Sarah was Harriet’s mother as well. CJ, however, took a great interest in witchcraft as she got older and began to seek out Sarah’s company more and more with time.
❥๑━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━๑❥
So, that was pretty much all of it. Hope you enjoyed reading! Ignore the badly edited photo I made, I just needed something relevant😭

Did anyone else think that Ella would disappear after they changed the timeline? Like not disappear, but like not be married to Charming?
Me and my friend thought of that once the movie finished and now I'm back to thinking about it.
Ella Tremaine worked until both of her step sisters got married and left the house and when her stepmother died soon after the girls kicked Ella out forcing her onto the streets with her young daughter. That Chloe didn't know safety or what a full stomach felt like. She worked with her mom from a young age and would hear stories from Ella about how their life could have been different. This Chloe wasn't kind, she knew life as unfair and cruel, she grew up fighting with the other street kids, taking their money or pickpocketing the rich.
She despises royalty and thinks that they should focus on the people in their kingdoms who need help; not party with one another.
So when she does get accepted into Auradon Prep on a scholarship program to bring in less fortunate kids she hates it. She hates how the villains got everything for just existing, she hates how the current king left his people back under his father's rule as he travels the world to unite more kingdoms when his is in shambles and she hates her roommate who's gotten everything in her life on a golden platter.
Chloe hates Red, despises her for being rebellious and never suffering the consequences. She hates how her roommate pities her and offers to spend money on her, money she hasn't had to steal, work for, or end up bloodied over. She hates how she cares and supports her no matter how illegal or dangerous her plans are.
She hates her.
Chloe hates how her roommate looks so peaceful and cute when she sleeps, how she looks wearing Chloe's worn and oversized clothes, how she softly scolds her for each fight she starts while cleaning her wounds, how she makes up any excuse to spend money on her.
She loves her.
So maybe when she saves enough money to buy Red a gift, a thin titanium chain with a ring that has a red and blue band in the middle, apologizing that it's probably not a extravagant or expensive as her other jewelry it brings Red to tears.
Fuck- does Chloe love this girl.
And when the inevitable happens and King Adam declares a second war on Wonderland in his son's absence Chloe risks her life to make sure Red gets back home before being captured.
She doesn't break as the "King" tortures her to find anything information about Red, Wonderland, or anything else. When he takes in her mother as leverage no one expects it when she snaps and kills him, haven been underestimated. And when she goes on an assassination spree of killing royals until she's the one with power no one fights against her.
The people love their dark Queen who has made their lives better, even though Red doesn't see the girl she fell in love with. Red becomes her Queen, because Chloe is still Chloe with her, ruling in blood tainted gold as the riches of the royals run through the streets to those in need. No one needs to know of Chloe's soft side to Red, the only person who sees Chloe for who she is; a child who would rather burn the world to the ground than watch another suffer her faith.
Ben and Mal can keep their fantasies of uniting Kingdoms under one rule. Their kingdom does not exist anymore.

Hey babe, if you're still taking requests, can I request something for Harry Hook from descendants? It takes place in an AU where basically all the kids are "chosen" to be parts of fairytales. (Think Ever After High mixed with School for Good and Evil). This world is complete with everything you see in disney movies with epic fights and songs. Heroes get love ballads and villains get traditional villain songs. Reader and Harry are friends (with feelings) on the isle and get chosen for a story, and are both super excited because they think they'll both be villains together. So imagine their surprise when they get their first song together and it sounds an awful lot like a love song.
This AU has been living in my head for a long time tbh but I have no writing skills T-T. Feel free to ignore it this is not your style or I accidentally sent this after requests closed.
'one story leads to another' - harry hook
masterlist
On the Isle of the Lost, a story is everything. Receiving a good story catapults a promising villain into a fantastic life of infamy, but a lackluster story seals your fate forever to menial satisfaction alone. Henchmen, not gods. Lackeys and thugs, never the criminal boss in charge.
Then again, a worse fate still could befall you. Many would-be villains go their whole lives without receiving a story. They’re not meant for everyone, at all, even if they mean the difference between a true life or a false existence. You can’t fathom training your whole life just to go without, but it’s the reality for many on your island. Even the deck swabbers get to go on exciting adventures with the great pirates of the sea, and even the lowliest prison guard will still live in a cursed palace.
The story controls your life, both literally and figuratively. Once you’re given a story, you’ll have no choice but to follow it out, even if it ends with your death. Then again, a story isn’t over in a matter of days. It’ll shape your life for decades. Even if the main plot is over, you’ll still be someone, and maybe you’ll feature in other people’s stories, too. There’s no way to make it without a story.
Thats why you’ve been throwing yourself into the pursuit of becoming the main character of your own story. You’ve perfected the arts of all things villain– sword fights that always end with you pulling a secret dagger out of a sleeve to tip the scales in your favor, maniacal laughter, elaborate plotting. You could scheme in your sleep or double-cross a traitor with your hands tied behind your back. Although it’s been a long time in the making, everyone on the Isle can admit that you’re the best of the best, and that a story surely has to be coming your way.
The problem, then, is attracting one. Although no rules are set in stone, there are expectations for how one’s story will come about. There will be an inciting event, of course, and then the songs will begin to appear in your head, the footwork and movements placed in your memories without a second thought. You’ll know you’re in the story, and then your life will change forever.
You’ve already seen one play out with some of your closest friends. Mal, one of your best friends since you were kids, got to live out her nefarious dreams, although even she didn’t see the twist coming in her story. Then again, becoming queen of Auradon is certainly a fine trophy for the child of a villain, even if a true marriage of love isn’t quite the way anyone expected her to steal the crown.
Mal has assured you many times over that your story will be coming too, it has to. There’s no way the magic would skip over you, not when you’ve dedicated so much of your life to being the perfect villain for any role. You can lie and cheat and maim with the best of them, surely you’re shaping up to be the arch nemesis in some hero’s grand journey? Your story will be coming your way. Surely. Surely.
And then, all of a sudden, it does. You feel it like a puppet knows its strings. All of a sudden, you have a purpose that you didn’t before. Your feet carry you out of the training yard and out into the sprawling mess of streets that makes up the Isle of the Lost. Your heart soars, and you take to the roofline, staring out at the world before you. It’s yours, all yours, and you know it’s true, so you sing it. The words come to you in a flash, perfect rhymes curling around your tongue as if they’d been there all your life.
This is what it feels like to be in a story, then. It feels right, more right than anything you’ve known before. Easier than breathing. Simpler than hoping that something like this would come your way, and at last, it has. Nothing could make your flinty heart more proud.
The song ends, and you can hear a ghost of a distant chorus fading out as you make your way back to the ground once more. Your stroll is casual, but the steps are definitely in a specific direction. The last notes fade from the air, your feet stop firmly in place, and you realize that you’re not facing down a potential heist or daring escape but the end of the dock leading into the sea. Directly in front of you lies a pirate ship.
At first, you’re thrilled– an adventure on the high seas would be fantastic. You’re friends with many of the pirates, even if you haven’t yet gotten a chance to test your fortitude against seasickness before. You cast your mind back to the words you’d just sung, trying to remember if you’d chorused anything about an exciting voyage ahead, or maybe the possibility of sunken treasure.
Instead, your heart sinks as you realize you were talking about exploring what was right in front of you. More specifically, someone right in front of you. And, as you stare with no small amount of trepidation at the pirate ship in front of you, you discover that someone else seems to be in a similar situation as you. Someone who’s just stopped singing a very similar song, who’s standing directly opposite you as if placed there by some immortal hand. Someone you know already.
Someone like Harry Hook.
A belated understanding is beginning to nestle itself between your ribs like a knife in the heart. No, this can’t be. You refuse to believe it. Still, when Harry is the first one to make a move, and walks briskly down the gangplank to stand in front of you, and says in an increasingly cavalier tone, “So, you’ve got your story started too, haven’t you?”
“Harry,” you say weakly. “I didn’t realize that you’d also gotten a song.”
“More than a song,” he says grimly. “I’ve got the whole story.”
You stare at him. “You know how it’s going to end?”
Harry had been doing his best to keep his gaze firmly pinioned on a nearby wall, but his eyes flicker briefly, traitorously, over to you when you pose the question. They snap back immediately, though. For a pirate, he’s never been the best liar, although he tends to make up for it with excellent swordsmanship. “No one knows how their story is going to end until they follow it through.”
You narrow your eyes crossly at him. “But you have a guess, don’t you? Spit it out, Hook. I don’t have all day.”
“Actually,” Harry contradicts, seeming to take great joy in the opportunity to be bothersome, “you do have all day. You’re a part of a story now, love. Your whole life is going to be wherever the wind takes you.”
You roll your eyes. “Thanks, Harry. Very helpful. Don’t try to dodge the question, though. You know how this is going to end, right?”
He sighs. “I have an inkling. Very vague. Probably untrustworthy.”
“All pirates are untrustworthy,” you remind him.
He grins broadly, sharklike. “And all children of villains are saints like you, of course.” He groans at your exasperated expression. “Fine, fine. Although I’d suggest you get better at pretending you like playing my little games if you’d like to keep this up.”
Your eyes widen. “What do you mean?”
“You’ve guessed it already, haven’t you?” Harry says testily. “Think about the songs, Y/N. The melody. That wasn’t a villainous monologue, not even your basic pledge for debauchery and ruin. That was a love song.”
You shake your head frantically. “No, Harry. That was so not right. What is that supposed to mean?”
“Well,” Harry says slowly, “I ‘spose it means we’re meant to fall in love.”
You draw back so quickly that you think you’ve insulted him. “No. Absolutely not. No offense, Harry, but I don’t want to fall in love with you.”
“I’ll try not to let it go to my head,” he says dryly.
You wave a hand dismissively. “It’s not about you, I swear. It’s just– this was supposed to be my story, you know? My whole life. I was supposed to have a glorious adventure, or engage in fantastic battles, but I get one chance at a story and it’s about falling in love? No way. I won’t accept this.”
“You’re acting like I enjoy this too,” Harry retorts. “Quite the contrary, sweetheart. You’re not the only one who’s been dreaming about their story for ages. How do you reckon I’m meant to tell my father that I got a love story? He’d laugh at me so hard he’d probably stop getting scared of that crocodile once and for all. I’m just as unhappy with this as you are, but I’m willing to do something about it.”
You eye him cautiously. “Like what?”
“Let’s play along,” he suggests, and when you look like you’re going to snap at him, he raises his hands defensively and adds hastily, “I know, I know, but hear me out, will you? The faster we get things going, the sooner this ends. You know as well as I do that characters from other stories can take part in other ones, too. ‘Sides, maybe this one isn’t just a love story. Maybe we do travel somewhere exciting, we just don’t know it yet. You don’t have to fall in love with me, alright? We can pretend. We’ll sing our songs, then do whatever we want with our hearts. Me, I’m planning to show my strength by carving mine out of my chest and wearing it as a necklace. It would make a pretty pendant, I wager. Plus, all the crew would be awestruck over it.”
You can’t help but laugh at his words. “Harry, if you cut your heart out, you’d die. If you want a necklace like that, use one of your enemies’ organs.”
He nods appreciatively. “That might work better, I think.” Then, eyeing you apprehensively, “So, does that mean you’re willing to do it? To play along with our story?”
You sigh. “I think it does. It’s not like we have any choice, do we?”
Harry pulls a face. “A girl is cosmically destined to fall in love with me, and in the heat of the moment of her confession, she says it’s because she doesn’t have any choice. Be still, my heart.”
This makes you smile. “You know it’s not personal, Harry. We’ve been friends for ages, I should hope you know when I’m teasing.”
“And I should hope the same,” he says with mock solemnity, although his faux stony demeanor cracks with a wide grin within moments.
You hold out your hand for him to shake. “To falling in love?”
“To falling in love,” he says, and shakes it. So the story begins.
You’re not going to say that it’s difficult, pretending to be in love with Harry Hook. You’ve never had an issue with his company; he’s one of your oldest friends, all of the villain kids on or around the Isle of the Lost have come in contact with each other before, and you and Harry just so happened to cross paths more than a few times. In fact, you’d go so far as to say that if you were forced to sing love songs with any of the villainous children on this island, Harry would be your preferred choice.
And– the problem with that, see, is that it makes this whole thing sound like something it isn’t. You’re not in love with Harry, even if your story seems designed to make you think otherwise. You know how you felt about him before the story began, and a couple of ditties about finding something special in a person you previously overlooked isn’t going to change anything. Harry is your friend. Nothing more than a potential ally.
But then the story takes you two away from the island for a spell, the two of you co-captaining a small sailing vessel by yourselves in search of a magical talisman that would have the power to make every one of your days enchanting. You had assumed it would be a talisman of some sort, that is; yet when the two of you arrived at the hiding place of this supposed treasure and split up to each pursue one length of a split crossroads, your paths looped around so you came face to face with each other again.
No artifacts, no charms. Just Harry almost stumbling into you, having to wrap one arm around your waist so you don’t fall, his chest rising and falling rapidly as if he’d been running in an attempt to beat your time. You’d chastise him for it were it not for the fact that you were sprinting, too. You wait for Harry to let you go, but he doesn’t, and instead leans closer, so close you can feel his breath hot on your cheek, and then–
You pull away quickly. Harry looks at you like a wounded dog, which makes you feel sick to your stomach. “No,” you say through gritted teeth. “This isn’t– this isn’t us. It’s the story.”
“Is it really just the story?” Harry asks you.
“Yes,” you say, refusing to consider any other option for a second. “You didn’t love me before it started. The magic is messing with our minds. This isn’t real, Harry.”
He starts slowly walking towards you, and afraid you’ll make a mistake you’ll regret once the story ends, you back up in turn, up until the point when your back hits a wall and you can go no further. Harry, however, has nothing in his way but you, and there is nothing to stop him from closing the gap between you once again.
“Tell me it’s not real,” he says lowly.
“It’s not real,” you repeat.
His hand rises to your chin, tilting it up so you have to look in his eyes. He drinks in the sight of you like he’s been marooned alone for days, like salt water has been his only benediction for as long as he can remember. “Tell me,” he says again.
“It’s not,” you insist, but your conviction is gone, drifted away from you on uncertain tides. “It’s the magic. Not us.”
“Not us?” He asks, and kisses you. Slowly, terribly slowly, he kisses you, and in between silently begging him to move faster, do more, you think about all the times you’ve been under a spell in the past, and how this feels nothing like that. Not at all. Whenever you’re under an enchantment, some small part of you knows it’s wrong, giving you just enough hope that you might be able to fight free.
When you kiss Harry, though, you don’t want him to stop. Not at all. Every single particle in your body is beating along to the same erratic pulse through your veins, the one that leans into his touch, reaching for the front of his salt-stained shirt to pull him ever closer to you. If this is your story, you don’t ever want it to end. If there is a writer out there somewhere, feverishly scribbling out your chapters, you hope they never cease, that every one of their movements until the day they die and then past that will bring you more moments with Harry, moments just like this one in which you never have to let him go.
“It’s not just the story,” you tell him amidst ragged breaths when he finally breaks away.
“No?” Harry asks, one brow quirked. Usually, he’d never pass up the chance to gloat, but he looks sorely disheveled, and he can’t take his eyes off of your kissed lips long enough to give him the chance to revel in his victory like he normally would.
Just in case, though, you distract him from the triumph by kissing him again. Somewhere in the surrounding uncharted territory, the waves crash against the shore, the seabirds wheel and sing on the marine breezes, and you find the magic in the one boy who has always been there for you, and always will be, even after your story ends. That is the magic of love, you suppose. Adventures come to a close. Battles are won, heists are accomplished, but what you and Harry share will go on forever. A fitting legacy for the best two villains who ever lived.

i headcanon like a LOT of the isle to be illiterate and innumerate, and to have handwriting that's more or less equivalent to a toddler. ik that it's canon that the isle had a school, but for kids who prided themselves for being non conformist and rule breaking, i doubt that any of them actually went to school that often - especially for those that had to spend time stocking their parents stores and what not. and i don't think the quality of education would've been that high on the isle anyway, considering that canonically the villains are bad at anything productive or constructive for a good society
for instance, i think that carlos and evie are the only ones fully literate in the core4. i think carlos would've been one of those kids that just taught themself to read at like. age 3 or 4. the same way he ended up teaching himself how to hack and whatever. and evie was homeschooled by the evil queen who probably would've taught her how to write because it's important in the courtship process for writing letters to her prince, then for writing declarations and whatever as a queen
i think that mal wouldn't have a reading level any higher than like. a 6 year old. which is when she like made her little isle gang and what not. i think the only words she could read and spell correctly would be the words in the spell book, but not because she learnt how to read words phonetically, she just memorised what each word was, in the way that it's reported that gen alpha are being taught to read. but once she came to auradon and saw it necessary to fit in there (especially as ben's gf) she suddenly became a lot more self conscious about her reading level and spelling ability
i think jay would've had a similar if not worse reading level than mal. and i think uma would have memorised words similar to mal, but instead the ones on her mother's menu, rather than being able to read or write properly
there is also no way in hell that gil is even remotely literate

According to a source, in the book "Beyond The Isle of the Lost", it is revealed that Wonderland chose not to join the United States of Auradon and the Queen of Hearts had to raise an army to fight for her freedom. The event became known as "The War of the Roses". With that in the air, I began thinking about other rulers who might’ve also opposed the Beast time and the perfect Queen came in mind
I believe Elsa was definitely against the Beast rule, especially after the Isle of the Lost. She would believe that bringing villains back to life is cruel and unnecessary, but the Beast would wave her off. Elsa probably once did refuse to be part of Auradon. I believe if there was a war or a battle between them, it would be called “The Frozen War.”

Character Profile
Descendants OC:
Princess Ace of Hearts ♥️🎂🗡💄
Second oldest of the children of the Queen of Hearts
Twin sister of Jack
INTJ / Gemini
Ace is unpredictable, cunning, and loyal. Much like many Wonderlandians, she is certainly mad, but her chaotic side can make for a strong ally when asking for her help.
In my Descendants headcanon rewrite, the Queen of Hearts was sent to the Isle of the Lost with the rest of the villains. The White Queen remains as ruler of Wonderland and has an alliance with Auradon. The White Queen has wanted to bring over her neices and nephews from the Isle to Wonderland, but King Beast never "got around" to adressing her request. The oldest Heart kid, Rosé, was born in Wonderland before the Queen of Hearts was banished. Ace and her twin brother, Jack, were also born in Wonderland, but soon after, they and their mother were sent to the Isle. Ace has never cared about ruling over others, only that she had the power to do whatever she wanted. She likes to manipulate anyone to get her own way and is rarely on anyone's side but her own.
Ace likes tarts and playing poker. She is very close with her younger siblings, but holds resentment towards her mother for not raising the younger kids properly. She arrives in Auradon with Jack and the rest of her younger siblings when King Ben agreed to let the White Queen foster them.
Ace (and the other Heart kids) were loners on the Isle and the other VKs mostly stayed away from them. While she has a decent relationship with Evie, Ace is cold toward many of the VKs. She doesn't care about them unless they can do something for her. She uses her cunning ways to learn secrets, cause mischief, and protect her family. The White Queen sends Ace and Jack to Auradon Prep, where Ace meets her roommate and very first friend, Bernadette.
In Auradon, Ace faces a new atmosphere of people where she learns who her loyalties actually lie with.
[ In this au, the storyline begins to take place right after D1. It continues on during D2 and 3. RoR doesn't exist (for obvious reasons, sorry) (maybe I'll pull in some elements and add it onto what I've got :)) ]

Few Mad Maddy Mim hcs <3
She's one of the very few Villain kids who doesn't visit the Tremaine salon regularly (= about once every two weeks). She doesn't like the Tremaines that much and, like, human contact. Ew.
She just trims her bangs herself when it starts falling into her eyes, and similiarly keeps her hair at a bit above shoulder lenght. So it wouldn't fall into anything.
One of her sister//cousins//unspecified relatives handles the trade with the Tremaines, they make shampoos and dyes and stuff for the salon.
Maddy herself handles the Apothecary.
The Apothecary sells everything from scavenged pills from Auradon trash runs, laudanum, home-made meds that might or might not work, to drug laces sweets and straight up drugs.
Which should count as meds, too, really.
Maddy keeps a proper scientific journal.
She also taste-tests the drugs. She's pretty sure she can't die, so she might as well.
Ginny Gothel is like the only human being she can tolerate. She is ALSO the reason for the "KEEP YOUR RELATIONSHIPS DRAMA OUTSIDE“ rule, which she continuously ignores.
Gothel managed to pass off some herbal tinctures and poisons and the idea of what homeopathy is to her daughter so there's that. Mother Gothel was very bored.
She also has a sudden spells of "I must get my daughter gifts so she's grateful to me etc etc. The last one liked dolls, seems fine enough.“ Meanwhile Ginny, absolutely deadpan: „Wow, thank you mother. How can I ever repay you.“
(they both know what Gothel wants Ginny for.)
...And Ginny gives the dolls to Maddy!
Maddy loves dolls, she collects them. They soothe her.
They generally freak out every first-timer at the Apothecary. Her favourite ones are the victorian porcelain ones.
...she might or might not have chipped one of them over Ginny's head when she wouldn't stop touching shit at the Apothecary. Ginny might or might not still have the scar.
Maddy likes colourful nail polish but it's always chipped or smudged off cos of her chemicals. Ginny brings her the polish from the salon, Anthony lets her take it.
Yeah also Maddy is more or less Ginny's dealer so there's that. Destructive Isle relationships<3

THE SERVER
We have a leveling system in our server. The more you talk, the more you level up. We will kick people from the event if you have yet to reach CROOK aka LVL 5 as it is extremely easy to reach. All you have to do is talk. This is non-negotiable. CROOK is reachable within a day. You must also give yourself roles from the role menu when you join! If you need help just ask a leader or mod. You will be also be kicked if you do not do this. We only require AGE and PRONOUNS. Other roles beside these DO NOT COUNT! Please do not join and not give yourself roles!

Anyone who reaches their word count before the final few days will be asked to increase their goal to make it fair for slower writers.
Please do not hesitate to speak or join the server. We are extremely welcoming and active, but if you cannot respect our rules then you cannot participate in our events.
