Advancing Game Development Ethics through Diversity, Representation, and Inclusivity
Blockverse Infotech Solutions, a leading mobile game development agency, stands at the forefront of innovation and creativity in the gaming industry. With a commitment to ethical mobile game development practices, Blockverse Infotech Solutions recognizes the importance of addressing diversity, representation, and inclusivity within the gaming landscape. In an era where digital entertainment serves as a powerful tool for shaping societal perceptions and values, game developers hold a significant responsibility in promoting positive social change. This article delves into the critical role of ethics in game development, emphasizing the need for diversity, representation, and inclusivity in shaping a more equitable and inclusive gaming industry.
Diversity in mobile game development encompasses various aspects, including the representation of different cultures, backgrounds, genders, sexual orientations, abilities, and perspectives. By embracing diversity, game developers can create richer and more authentic gaming experiences that resonate with a diverse audience. Moreover, diverse development teams bring unique insights and ideas to the table, fostering innovation and creativity in game design.
Blockverse Infotech Solutions prioritizes diversity in its development teams, recognizing that diverse perspectives lead to more inclusive and culturally relevant games. By actively recruiting and supporting developers from underrepresented groups, Blockverse Infotech Solutions ensures that its games reflect the diversity of the global gaming community.
Representation plays a crucial role in fostering inclusivity and empowering marginalized communities within the gaming space. When players see themselves represented in games, they feel validated and empowered, fostering a sense of belonging and inclusivity. However, representation in games goes beyond mere tokenism; it requires authentic and respectful portrayals that avoid harmful stereotypes and tropes.
Blockverse Infotech Solutions strives to promote positive representation in its games by featuring diverse characters, storylines, and settings that reflect the complexity and diversity of the real world. By consulting with experts and community stakeholders, Blockverse ensures that its representations are authentic and culturally sensitive, thereby fostering a more inclusive gaming environment.
Inclusivity in game design entails creating experiences that are accessible and enjoyable for players of all backgrounds and abilities. This includes considerations such as customizable controls, subtitles, colorblind options, and diverse difficulty settings to accommodate a wide range of players. By prioritizing inclusivity, mobile game developers can ensure that everyone can participate in and enjoy their games, regardless of any barriers they may face.
Blockverse Infotech Solutions integrates inclusivity into its game design process from the outset, prioritizing accessibility features and user-friendly interfaces to ensure that its games are welcoming to players of all backgrounds and abilities. By making inclusivity a core principle of its design philosophy, Blockverse Infotech Solutions seeks to set a precedent for ethical game development practices within the industry.
As the gaming industry continues to evolve, it is essential for game developers to prioritize ethics and social responsibility in their work. By addressing diversity, representation, and inclusivity, developers can create more inclusive and socially impactful games that reflect the diversity of the global gaming community. Blockverse Infotech Solutions exemplifies this commitment to ethical game development, serving as a beacon of innovation and inclusivity within the industry. Through collaborative efforts and a dedication to positive social change, mobile game developers can shape a more equitable and inclusive gaming landscape for future generations.

#gigantamax meowth#you'd expect eevee to be after this one but! naurp. pikachu is natdex 25 and this is natdex 52. eevee is like 133 i think#this one obviously they were also referencing longcat#i feel like the pokémon company has gotten more overt about referencing memes nowadays but in gen 8 they were still. y'know#hesitant about it. because they only put it on gmax forms. finally in gen 9 we got lechonk and… not a second too soon…#could've come way later‚ lechonk… not a fan…#we'll get there. longcat is fine but it was outdated in 2019. that's the thing about referencing memes in video games#they take a loooong time to develop. so you're effectively going to either date your developers or the game by referencing a meme in it#which is not a good look‚ basically ever

thank god for indie devs making like tiny little maximum 10 megabyte freeware games on itchio keeping the art of filesize optimization alive. ASSET REUSE FOREVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
#im watching a video about wario land music -> 'the bizarre music and sound design of wario land 4' by geno7#good video so far! i like this guys stuff. he talked a bit about how they did some of the sound effects for warios voice#a very like. chopped and remixed sample style of doing his vocal lines. which is very cool 1) because it saves a bit of#precious space on that gba cartridge BUT ALSO 2) it just sounds cool and interesting stylistically#and man sometimes trying to keep a file size down really does give way for some really interesting stuff#on my own personal interests in games i ADORE rpg makers rtp and how people can find creative uses for it#i love that a bunch of games can draw from the same asset pool as one install on ur computer#no bloating your hardrive with a bunch of copies of the same assets - its just already here!#and from a developers perspective i love when they reuse old assets from other games in new weird ways#some small visual novel companies will reuse backgrounds and other assets#altho i dont mind a bit of bloat with VNs since a big draw can be the big pretty images and big pretty sounds#but its still cool when people find ways to get creative with space saving. and from a players perspective its also nice#space is cheap nowadays. but its not Free. we can swallow terabytes whole with micro sds and everything#but a lot of players dont get the chance or ability to upgrade their internal memory that often. so i think being considerate of filesize i#very important. and thats not even getting into the download bandwidth limits - a lot of people all across north america can only get like#internet from 1 provider and that 1 provider often likes to upcharge and limit shit because they can#we might live in a future where a lot of powerful technology exists. but access to that tech is another story#so remember the filesize. remember the filesize.#dies in your arms

HeLLO INTERWEBS!
I am Sunny and I’m making a game!
This blog is here for me to keep track of my progress and to do documentation!
(I don’t want to make a google doc, this blog is mostly for me but feel free to follow I guess)
Yo Sunny what game are you making?
Glad you asked! You are the Jury is a comedy-horror rpg about 5 killers who will never face consequences trapped on a strange resort island filled with monsters and tourists who act.. strangely. The game is brightly colored with no jumpscares and no gore just atmosphere, sound design and “the implication”. It’s a very silly horror game like the upturned or lethal company or even other non zeekerss games
I plan on making YouTube videos about game design someday when I do I’ll add a link here just in case
Thanks for reading if you did!
See you later alligators,
Sunny!

so what im understanding between people constantly saying kingdom hearts is too easy and my disabled self struggling with kh2 beginner is:
a game's "easy mode" shouldn't be challenging at all, being fun to breeze through for the casual player and manageable for a disabled player
a game's default "hard mode" being a nice challenge for the player, with the unlockable harder mode being a challenge even for a pro
more games need accessibility & extra challenge settings just in general
#kingdom hearts#gaming#game development#disability#actually disabled#video game accessibility is a really interesting topic for me and i'd love to work in it tbh#...idk if gaming companies even HAVE accessibility departments...but they should!

every time ever i see a post about how wildworks "abandoned" ajc on purpose because theyre Evil and Money Hungry i see red. the devs literally had active plans for ajc before flash died AND STILL DO... come on.
AND ON THAT NOTE... people who wholeheartedly believe wildworks killed fer.al because they hate us and want us to die and had sooo much fun making nfts using your precious avatars. like Jammer the whole entire reason cinder happened was because feral was failing and wasnt making money. i understand like none of us are game devs but you could at least open google and look for any the several developer interviews or business articles or straight up Anything besides crying about your nostalgia being killed by the malicious Corn Stacey.
anyways whos hyped for upcoming AJ interview :-]
#THEY LITERALLY CANT UPDATE THE GAME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!#also i HAVE been called a wildworks like bootlicker or whatever before so i also want to state:#yes the fer.al situation was handled horrifically and is frankly embarrassing on ww's part#but like so many people (ingame and online) just log on to whine about it. i watched a youtube video with like 4k views yesterday about how#ajc is TRASH now because Omgmggg no new items or animals :-( like it was just this adult woman whining like a child over it. GROW UP!!!!#anyways a lot of you are way too mean to the dev team who behind the same game you demand updates from#like I get it. youre longterm players. so am i! i love animal jam! but Sorry to tell you. the developers ARE also human beings#with a company that was NOT doing well for awhile there... like why else do you think they partnered with nazara?#dont get me started on people who dont even know an Ounce of information about any of this but still cry and fearmonger constantly#Anyways. ahem. how is everyones afternoon going....#.txt

Indie Game Development Tools for Beginners
Intro:
Hey there, fellow gaming enthusiasts! It's your friendly neighborhood game developer, Techy Saad, here to guide you through the exciting world of indie game development. Whether you're a seasoned programmer looking to dive into game design or a complete beginner eager to bring your creative visions to life, this post is for you. Today, we'll be exploring some of the best tools and resources tailored for beginners venturing into the realm of indie game development. So, grab your coffee, fire up your imagination, and let's get started!
Welcome to the Indie Game Development Scene:
Starting a game development business is a thrilling experience that offers a plethora of creative opportunities, challenges, and tools. If you are just starting out, you will need to arm yourself with the necessary resources to see your game ideas through to completion. Luckily, the indie game development community has a wealth of easily navigable tools and resources to assist you in getting started.
Game Engines: The Heartbeat of Your Game
Game engines are the building blocks upon which you can construct your entire game. If you are just starting out, it is important to choose a user-friendly game engine so that you can minimize the learning curve and concentrate on letting your creativity run wild. Unity and Unreal Engine are two of the most well-liked options among independent developers because of their feature-rich features, wealth of documentation, and active communities.
Unity:
Unity is well-known for being user-friendly and adaptable, making it a great option for novices who want to start making games. Its user-friendly interface and extensive tutorials allow you to quickly prototype and create 2D or 3D games without any prior programming knowledge.
Unreal Engine:
Unreal Engine, a well-known tool for game development, is so good that even a novice can create engaging games with its Blueprint visual scripting system. Its marketplace also has a ton of assets and plugins that can help you make better games.
Visual Assets: Bringing Your Game to Life
While gameplay mechanics are important, visually appealing content is just as important for drawing players in and making them feel like they are in the game. If you are just starting out, using pre-made assets and graphic tools can help you produce games faster without sacrificing quality.
Blender:
As a free and open-source 3D creation suite, Blender is an invaluable tool for indie developers seeking to create stunning 3D models, animations, and visual effects for their games. With its user-friendly interface and extensive community tutorials, Blender is a must-have for beginners delving into 3D game development.

Tens of thousands of people have been fired in the tech sector in the last six months alone. With the economy the way it is, and with people who are already unable to get a job, I wonder how an extra 20,000+ jobseekers are going to have any luck finding work.
#i just want to point out that this isn't just automation. it's different for every company but a lot of it comes down to profiteering imo#the video game industry made disgusting amounts of money during the pandemic. best three years of sales in history#but that momentum was never going to keep up forever. even when the momentum was at full swing people were getting laid off#Activision-Blizzard laid off over a hundred people just before christmas while bobby kotick got a $250 million bonus#thst might have even been before the pandemic#but you're seeing it with microsoft and ubisoft. wouldn't surprise me if sony and nintendo were following suit in a less public manner#microsoft - arguably the biggest tech conglomerate in the world (next to tencent) - laid off 10 thousand workers alone#i live in a town with just over 10 thousand people. in my entire fucking town. in my perspective that's more or less the world around me#all of those people - jobless#facebook - didn't like 7k people just get fired? that's hot on the heels of john carmack leaving too#john carmack is probably one of the top 100 people in the tech industry. his tech improvements helped aging PC hardware keep up for years#DOOM might be a meme but it ran that well because id software under john carmack revolutionised rendering techniques and scrolling#and stuff like that. john carmack has been at the forefront of graphical technology and game development for 30+ years#that's resulted in a couple duds like RAGE. he was also all-in on voxel technology before he moved into VR#all of that was context for this: john carmack left meta (who bought oculus) and lambasted the company for poor management on the way out#saying that he'd never seen such unnecessary and wanton expenditure in his career. meta were throwing their money at things thay don't work#here's john carmack trying to lay the groundwork of a successful game for meta's metaverse. here's meta chasing superfluous buzzwords#meta spent almost $14 BILLION on buzzwords and marketing at the behest of the actual tech. and then they FIRED 7000 PEOPLE!!!!!!#they had a HAIL MARY working on their game - because metaverse IS A GAME - and they prioritised SELLING THE PRODUCT BEFORE BUILDING IT#IT COST THEM $14 BILLION + THEIR HAIL MARY - AND THEN THEY FIRED THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE!!!!!!#Ubisoft and Activision-Blizzard have been facing mass resignations after years of abusive and toxic workplaces#and on top of that they're firing people too. google stadia just went under. it wouldn't surprise me if 2k and rockstar were firing people#I don't know how many other unemployed people there are in america - hundreds of thousands? but 20k more is even worse for everyone#keep in mind that even with a $14 billion loss - meta still makes billions. Microsoft is in no financial danger#tech is more lucrative now than ever. i genuinely believe that these cuts are to keep record profits at record heights#because the pandemic boom is ending and their ALREADY OBSCENELY LUCRATIVE revenue flows are going back to normal#so 20k+ tech workers are losing their jobs to keep $80 billion instead of $79 billion. all of those people - jobless#that's 20 thousand people with individual lives and families and expenses. lost their jobs in the last six months#that example i gave - $80 billion instead of $79 billion. that's not revenue. that's profit.#all of those people out of work due to incompetence at best and rank orofiteering at worst. their salaries and benefits come under revenue

Gothic, Elex Developer Pirahna Bytes Has Reportedly Shut Down
New Post has been published on https://thedigitalinsider.com/gothic-elex-developer-pirahna-bytes-has-reportedly-shut-down/
Gothic, Elex Developer Pirahna Bytes Has Reportedly Shut Down
Piranha Bytes, the developer of series such as Elex, Gothic, and Risen, has been shut down. The studio was owned by Embracer, which had been seeking a buyer for the German developer as part of its ongoing cost-cutting restructuring following failed $2 billion deal with Saudi Arabia-backed Savvy Games Group last year.
It was reported that Pirahna Bytes was looking for a new publisher following job cuts last year. In January, following a period of radio silence and inactivity from the studio, CEO Micahel Rüve addressed reports of an impending closure by stating the company was in a “difficult situation” while expressing optimism about finding a partner by saying, “Don’t write us off yet!”
However, German website GameStar (as surfaced by Eurogamer) published a story reporting the studio was officially shut down in late June. Despite this report, there still has not been an official announcement of closure from Embracer or Pirahna (the studio’s website remains inactive, however), and details about what exactly happened are scarce. Game Informer has contacted Pirahna’s publisher THQ Nordic for comment and will update this story with a response should we receive one.
However, earlier today, Pirahna leaders Björn Pankratz and Jenny Pankratz announced the formation of Pithead Studio, a new indie studio. In an announcement video, the pair acknowledges Pirahna’s silence over the past few months and says they plan to answer questions about Pithead’s founding on their YouTube channel starting each Monday.
Piranha Bytes was founded in 1997 and is perhaps best known for creating the Gothic series. The studio also developed the three Risen titles and the Elex series; its final release was Elex II in 2022. A remake of Gothic 1 is currently in development by a different studio, Alkimia Interactive. Piranha Bytes was acquired by THQ Nordic in 2019, itself a publishing subsidiary of Embracer Group.
If true, this news would represent the latest Embracer casualty following the closure of Alone in the Dark developer Pieces Interactive last month. After months of layoffs, studio closures (including Saints Row developer Volition Games and Timesplitters developer Free Radical), and selling off its properties, Embracer split itself into three companies in April: Middle-earth & Friends, Coffee Stain & Friends, and Asmodee.
