Getting to be Victor's friend could be either pretty easy or pretty difficult, he normally doesn't go out of his house and when he does is mostly with his parents, it could be that you two met because your families are friends or because you two agree somewhere

He could be pretty awkward and clumsy at first due not really knowing what to say but wanting to give a good impresion, but at the time pass he will start to feel more comfortable and will start to express more himself

He would prefer if you don't meet his parents right away (and actually prefer to avoid it as long as posible), not that he is embarrased of you but he is afraid for his mother reaction, and even if she takes it well is probably that will say something embarrassing about him and he doesn't want to scare away his probably only friend

Is more likely that Victor will accept you the way you are without much problems, not matter if you are more the shy or energetic type he just wants for you to feel free to be yourself (since you do the same for him, is only right in his mind and even if you would criticize him he prefers to just let you be). If you are more the shy or introvert type he tries to talk more and motivate you to do diferent things together as friends (even when is something new for him) but if you are more the energetic and extrovert type he tries to follow your lead and your rythm, he may complain a bit sometimes for being too much but he just get uses to it over time

It doesn't have to pass much time for Victor to fall in love but that doesn't make it less meaningful, his feeling grows faster that he can notice so it would take him a while to know what he is feeling, and when he does it will take him a little bit of time to accept it mainly because he is really nervous about the whole thing, he doesn't know if he will be enough for you or even if you will ever like him that way

Even before him realicing his feelings it start to be a little bit obvious, since, even if he had already got used to having you around he is more nervous and clumsy around you again, just like he was when you just met, but this time he tries to brush it off by laughing at it, as well he start to trip on his words and sometimes speaks before thinking (more than he used to). While having a crush Victor is stuck between being really nervous and completely comfortable around you

He isn't exactly planning to confess his feelings for you but there are moments where you two are talking in a more serious manner and he just start to talk from his heart and his true feeling slips a little (if he realice it in time he will try to apologize or cover it up). He will only confess if and when he is sure of his feelings for you and that are reciprocated because he doesn't want to risk your friendship, he wouldn't mind too much never telling you his true feelings if he knows you don't like him back

If you are the one confessing then it will take him by surprise, it actually take him a moment to fully process what you have said and is probably that he asks you if it is real, he will be all blushy and flustered, even triping on his words but at the end he manage to express his feelings for you too

It would take him a while for Victor to accept that this is for real and that he is in a relasionship with you and yet he couldn't be happier for it, he tries to be the best boyfriend, the one that you deserve, unfortunately his insecurities sometimes push him a little to much and make him think that you deserve better than him

It would take him a while to get used to being in a relasionship but once he does he will be actually pretty open with you and tries to have a lot romantic and meaningful gestures with you

It was the last thing he could give you before ultimately disappearing from your life for good. It was funny to you, funny in a way that twisted your heart until it blocked the crimson blood from pumping throughout your body. The same blood that ran cold once you found out about his engagement.

You never thought you'd be met with such circumstances, considering the long history you've had with your dear Victor. Maybe it was all just child's play and he didn't care about you like you did him, but we both know that it just wasn't true. Earlier that morning, hours before the ceremony, he visited your estate, it took a few knocks before you were at the door at his beck and call, basking in the great shadow his thin figure cast. Even now, you wonder what went through his mind when giving you the pendant. Was it supposed to hold you back? Keep you chained to his ankle until his bones wither away into dust?

Apart from your hellish dilemma, the jewel was quite beautiful. Silver chains hung on your neck and over the hill that is your collarbone and finally met with a handsome crystal laid against the valley leading down to your breasts (you felt like a slave to his heart, damn). You wanted to thank him and jump into his arms while ensuring him that all was forgiven but you could only look down while pitying yourself for having waited this long to tell him anything. So you didn't, no words needed to be exchanged, especially if both your mouths locked onto each other. It was a silent yet passionate message being made to you, his tongue curved and ran across the bumps that are your taste buds, savoring the print hoping it'd be imbedded into his long-term memory.

It didn't take long for the two of you to be standing in your bedroom, naked and vulnerable. It wasn't different really, as your previous conversations ran deep within your bone marrow and always stuck with you, like a souvenir only for your heart and mind. He was the first to touch your body, he ran his bony fingers over the ample curves of your stomach, and then up to your bust, and finally rested upon your nipple, circling the gentle bumps around the darker skin.

I was watching the movie when I realice that most stories doesn't show the troubles of having to adapt your life to someone else because now they are together

Is kinda like when you moved somewhere else, it even works with family, I mean I did it like 5 times in my life (it was tortuous but I couldn't do anything)

For Victor getting use to the marriage life isn't going to be easy, if you two knew each other for a while now or even was in a relationship before it would be a little easier but still not completely, and if the case is that it was a arranged marriage then he will be way too anxious while trying to adjust to everything

First of all, marriage is a really important thing in the time he lives and is something expected so that alone already puts a lot of pressure on him, adding that he has a really bad self-esteem due how his mother not only treat him but how she talks about him, and since his family have money (and that could be the main reason of a arranged marriage) he kinda doubts if he could be a good husband and maybe even thinks that this marriage is just for the benefits (if you two already know each other from more time it would be more like a fear rather than a doubt)

Honestly, Víctor is just too scare to mess things up or even make it uncomfortable for you two, he will extra anxious if he does love you or if you two have just met, but in both cases are a diferent kind of anxiety, in the first is because of that love that he is scare of messing things up, and in the second is because the situation is already awkward enough for him to be clumsy and messy

Once you two start to live together he will spend quite a while feeling anxious and tense, not fully knowing how is he suppoused to act, stuck between wanting to give you space and trying to make sure you feel comfortable. It is too much for him and soon, if you aren't the one breaking the awkwardness he will be the one to speak up, admiting that he doesn't really know what he is doing but he wants to try his best, and actually after that he start to grow more comfortable and let him to slowly start to get used to the marriage life without feeling like everything he does will mess up things (and if you feel as awkward as him will help him to feel not so alone in this, in the other hand if you are comprehensive and even comforting he will feel a little flustered but also embarrassed, but it isn't something too bad, it helps at the end)

Victor is the type to be willing to adapt himself to you and that is why communication is the key with him, even without much words as long as you are willing to be sincere and don't be too demanding and critical of him then things will go slow and smooth, the love and care grows slowly but it is obvious (and if you two were already together then that will slowly get you two closer). Although, he need some reasurance that is fine for him to don't give in on everything

Is more likely that you two end up being a kind of marriage that grows to have a complete rutine without even planning it, but is something rather comforting where you two grow comfortable and even end up coordinated with each other, still that doesn't mean that he won't be willing to do things that get outside of the usual rutine with you (he has the money to afford it anyways, as long it isn't something that make him uncomfortable or let him without personal space and time, he is patient and willing but will get mad if he runs out of patient or if is forced into something)

Emily

Emily is completely in love with the idea of getting married, still she is expecting to marry the love of her life, her soulmate! so, somehow, when you two get together she knows you are her soulmate (still there is not pressure or expectations to be met, she does love you for how you are)

Due Emily's entusiasm it won't take long for you two to get married, when she knows she is in love she doesn't see reason to wait, still she is willing to take it slowly if you prefer it that way (but will never stop saying how much she want to spend the rest of her afterlife with you)

Emily is a totally entusiast for the newlywed life that is a waiting for you two, however, her own entusiasm is what lead her to don't leave the honey moon phase for a while, she just can't help but feel like in heaven after you two get together (specially if you agree or let her be all the entusiastic she wants because she won't see anything wrong then)

Still, despite what it may seem, Emily truly love you and make efforts to know more about you, she isn't only interested on getting married but also in getting to know you and in sharing her life with you, that is why she is more than willing to learn about your normal life and rutine and making effords to make it agree with her own rutine. As well, she does expect that you do your efforts for the relasionship, she is patient and understanding and will love to get to know you and your own way to do things but she needs your confirmation and reasurance about the relasionship, as well the demonstration that you are willing to do some things in her way, even reasurance without words and just by actions will work, at the end she just want to share her life with you and be together but in a relationship one can't do all the work

Emily may be the type to believe blinfuly in her partner but she isn't stupid in the slighest, it would take her a while but at the end she will learn to respect your own space and time, just as she takes time to herself to be with her friends (although, she will be more than willing to just bring you with her wherever she goes)

Even so, it would take her a while to get used to don't be so clingy or even needy because of how much she loves being with you; and just like that it will take her a while to grow fully comfortable around you too, not that she doesn't feel comfortable with you is just that she want you to see her as someone pretty and she tent to get nervous or even embarrassed when she loses her eye or get clumsy, so she needs some time to reach the comfort where she doesn't feel like needing to act perfect all the time (your reasurance can help, reminding her that you love her just as she is brings her a lot of joy and comfort)

In the afterlife you won't really have much problems for what you could be worried about so is more likely that if you two grows to have a rutine is after a long time of being together, because before that Emili wants to have all kind of little adventures with you

Emily would love to do your hair, even play with it, and if there happens to be flowers nearby she will make you a flower crown or gently place one behind your ear.

Victor obviously shows you how to play piano.

Sometimes when you're weary from a lesson, you will listen to Emily and Victor duet and fall asleep to their charming melodies they play.

You and Emily dote on Victor constantly because he deserves it.

He ends up stuttering saying he doesn't deserve such things but when you both litter his face with soft kisses he blushes hard, stammering a little less. It's still very amusing yet charming.

Sometimes when you take the occasional trip to the land of the living, Victor will prepare a picnic full of the foods you enjoy.

You end up stroking his hair listening to his musings. Emily joins you too on some of these trips, her skin pearlescent and glimmering in the shimmering moonlight it's hard for both you and Victor to turn your gazes from her when she's there so beautiful and reading, carefully flipping through the worn pages.

You're definitely interrupting her after a couple minutes or so, caressing her hands and pressing kisses to her knuckles.

Victor would watch, his gaze unwavering, practically giving you both heart eyes at your interactions.

He'd join you laying his head in your lap Emily absently stroking his hair while your fingers trailed along his arm, your head resting on Emily's shoulder.

It was really peaceful and dreamy, your own sort of paradise with the two people you'd come to adore and love.

Cold Shoulder

A/N: Ok so this took me a few months to get to BUT I’m very excited to get to it. Victor is very much so a beloved. This is also an extremely dialogue heavy fic.

Warnings: yelling, victor has a cold, mild suggestive language towards the end

I feel like Victor and his partner wouldn’t really have many fights, y’know. He’s somewhat non-confrontational, but gets his point across regardless. Like, he’s upset, but doesn’t let his emotions get the best of him...yeah.

However, it doesn’t mean that he won’t get upset and let whoever he’s talking to know that, be it him telling them, or body language, etc.

So, Victor’s been a little overworked. His parents have been ragging onto him about finances, and about him finally having moved out. The usual nasty stuff.

On top of that, he’d been stressed because he’d been working on a painting for several days, turning into weeks, and it just wasn’t coming together how he wanted it to. He couldn’t figure out if it was the wrong shape, or if something was uneven. The entire thing was getting on his nerves, and he’d jokingly talked about completely calling it quits. (he was mostly joking though....mostly)

And as the final smear of frosting on top of the disaster cake, he thought the mild headache he had was just stress. No, it was a full blown cold, paired with body aches, chills, dizziness, and house-shaking coughs.

Every little thing was bothering him, and nothing seemed to help.

Victor decided to completely disregard the fact that he had a cold, and was working on his drawing anyway, stopping every few minutes to cough up his lungs into a small handkerchief. He’d been angrily grumbling about the most random things all day, even seeming to be upset at the fact that the butterflies outside weren’t coming to visit him as often as he’d like.

You, however, were checking in on him every now and then. Giving him water, warm broth, etc. Although Victor was appreciative of the affection, he didn’t want to get you sick, and the talking of someone else kept setting him off.

“Victor dear, you need to sit down. You’ll be complaining about your back aching later. And you really need to stay hydrated, especially since it’s more cold outside and-”

“Oh, would you can it! I don’t need you breathing down my neck every five minutes asking if I need something. I know how to take care of myself.” he said, breathing heavily.

“Well, if you didn’t insist on finishing this blasted painting then I wouldn’t have to come and check in on you so much! And if you knew how to take care of yourself, you wouldn’t be up here doing that in the first place. Nobody asked you to work yourself to the bone.” you replied, your grip tightening on the mug you had in your hands.

“You know full well that my parents pressure me to do everything for everyone else, rather than for my own enjoyment. I can’t do anything I like anymore without them telling me I need to make money off of it, to provide for you! And even then, shouldn’t I be able to enjoy something when everything else around me is going to the depths of hell!”

“Well, I never said you couldn’t enjoy what you wanted to. I just don’t want you falling over, or passing out because you won’t drink any water, and you won’t sit, nor will you take a break, even to go outside, and breath fresh air. You are truly insufferably stubborn sometimes, I hope you know that!” you said, the tips of your ears burning up.

“No, because if I got outside, you’ll fuss about me needing a hat, or a sweater in this condition. I know what my limits are!” he yelled, finally putting his paintbrush down.

“Well, if you feel that strongly, I’ll be sleeping on the sofa tonight. And if you need anything else, I’ll be tending to the garden.” you mutter, turning on your heel and walking out of the door, lightly slamming it behind you.

It’s not that Victor meant to hurt your feelings. He really didn’t. It was just that he felt too much in a moment, and took it out on the nearest person. Was it right of him to do that? No. But it happened. And the moment that the door closed behind you, he put his head in his hands, let out a mournful sigh, and wept.

You were in fact tending to the garden, but the lump in your throat grew until it couldn’t anymore, and you sobbed over the lettuce plants, hands in your face. “He didn’t mean it.” you thought. But it still hurt to think about.

It was almost nightfall before you came back into the house, and you ignored the urge to check back on Victor. You both ate dinner alone that night, and true to your promise, you slept on the sofa, regardless of the aching bones you’d have in the morning.

You woke up to a note on the coffee table, and a few pastries on a plate. A small smile came over your face, and you reached for the note.

It read: “ I apologize for the way I acted yesterday afternoon. It was out of place, and unnecessary. I shouldn’t have taken my frustration out on you, and I should’ve done what you were telling me to, as you were saying and doing what you were with my best interest in mind. Once again, I am very sorry, and yes, the pastries are homemade. Love you dearly. ~Victor.

P.S. The soup tastes wonderful :).

A few tears escaped your eyes, and you immediately jumped up from the couch, ignoring the screech of pain from your body to go visit him in his study.

“Good morning Victor.” you whispered, as you opened his door, peeping your head through.

“Good morning dearest. I really am sorry. I hope you’ll forgive me.” he pleased, his eyes becoming glossy.

“You’re forgiven. After your cold has passed though, we’ll see just how forgiven you are.” you smirked, walking over to kiss his hand, shortly before making a start on your breakfast.

Many more fights would happen, sure. But at least you two had a system, and would talk it out, like civilized adults, in a civil relationship. Except the one time you two had a food fight.
