Evans avait participé plus tard à l’enregistrement de ‘’Portrait of Cannonball’’ et de ‘’Know What I Mean ?’’
The Price You Get to Pay to Be Free’’ (1970).

AllMusic Staff Pick: Cannonball Adderley 74 Miles Away/Walk Tall
With the hit "Mercy Mercy Mercy" still reverberating on the sales charts, Capitol simply had the Quintet crank out one live club date after another at this point, hoping for another smash. They never really got one, but Cannonball and Nat Adderley, in league with pianist Joe Zawinul, bassist Victor Gaskin and drummer Roy McCurdy, left a strong legacy like this vigorous live Hollywood gig.

Cannonball Adderley Quintet - Théâtre de l’Alhambra, Bordeaux, France, March 14, 1969
Check out an extremely tasty radio broadcast showcasing Cannonball Adderley’s cracker-jack late 60s band — Nat Adderley, Joe Zawinul, Victor Gaskin and Roy McCurdy. This era strikes the perfect balance of crowd-pleasing bop workouts, adventurous excursions and earthy funk. It’s all so nice.
Cannonball sez: We are all different people, so there are times when cats feel less enthusiastic about it than others, that's to be sure. However, it doesn't bore me. Not in the least. It bores me more to play a tune that makes demands on your information rather than on your soul. Like, for instance, if we play a tune that takes a lot of skill in terms of one's dexterity and musical information, how much you know, training, what can you do to make this work. For me to play a really hip, far out tune, it bores me more to play that than it does to play "Mercy" because "Mercy" isn't intended to be anything other than a simple emotional statement. Where the other thing is another kind of involvement. No music really bores me, but I will tend to get bored more with an exercise than I would with a simple statement.

Rose Bowl 2019: Latest Ohio State vs Washington TV Schedule, Odds and Predictions and More
The Rose Bowl still has a lot of brilliance to its name, and with regards to New Year's Day football, it's a respect to play in the Granddaddy of Them All.
This year, the Rose Bowl Game has its conventional Big Ten-Pac-12 matchup. Ohio State earned the Big Ten title by righteousness of its 62-39 triumph over Michigan in the last customary season game of the year, and after that won the meeting title game with a noteworthy 45-24 prevail upon Northwestern.
Washington pursued a comparable way in winning the Pac-12, as the Huskies crushed archrival Washington State 28-15 in the normal season finale and Utah by a 10-3 edge in the gathering title game.
Rose Bowl
Matchup: Ohio State (12-1) versus Washington (10-3)
Date: January 1
Time: 5 p.m.
Television: ESPN
Area: Pasadena, California
While the Rose Bowl conveys a lot of status, it isn't equivalent to taking an interest in the College Football Playoff. After Dwayne Haskins drove the Buckeyes to their previous two wins by tossing 11 touchdown passes, the Big Ten bosses were wanting to pick up section into the competition.
Notwithstanding, the board picked the Oklahoma Sooners, and that implies there will be some level of disillusionment on the Ohio State sideline.
Include the data that head mentor Urban Meyer is resigning after the Rose Bowl Game Live Stream, and it could prompt a roused group that needs to demonstrate the school football world that it merited a superior destiny and furthermore needs to convey its mentor a victor. Or on the other hand it could result in an unengaged and confounded group that has lost its core interest.
The full Ohio State picture isn't only the amazing triumphs over Michigan and Northwestern. The Buckeyes dropped a 49-20 middle of the season game at Purdue, and they had a troublesome time in triumphs over unremarkable groups like Nebraska and Maryland.
Ohio State has resembled a juggernaut now and again and conventional at others. That may not be something worth being thankful for when confronting a solid cautious group like the Huskies. Washington positions fifth in scoring protection, and it is additionally very restricting as far as yardage, positioning seventeenth in all out guard.
Haskins is the way to the Ohio State offense, with 4,580 passing yards and a 47-8 TD-capture attempt proportion. He has a sufficient arm, yet his best quality is his precision, pursued nearly by his basic leadership capacity.
He has a couple of fine recipients in Parris Campbell and K.J. Slope, both of whom are enormous play collectors. Campbell has 79 gatherings for 992 yards and 11 touchdowns, and Hill has gotten 67 goes for 836 yards and six TDs.
The running back team of J.K. Dobbins and Mike Weber are adequate to take a portion of the weight off of the passing games. Those two joined for 1,887 yards and 14 touchdowns.
Washington can't coordinate Ohio State's touchy hostile creation, however the Huskies have a strong offense that could have a magnificent day against the unremarkable Buckeyes guard.
Washington is averaging 26.6 focuses per game, while Ohio State is surrendering 25.7 focuses per trip.
Quarterback Jake Browning has 2,879 passing yards and has tossed 16 touchdown passes. His best recipient is Aaron Fuller, who has 51 gatherings for 794 yards and four touchdowns.
Running back Myles Gaskin is a ggame-breaking sprinter who has increased 1,147 yards and scored 10 touchdowns. The Ohio State protection must figure out how to hold Gaskin under wraps or it could demonstrate to a be a long game for the Buckeyes.
Expectation
This is one of the hardest bowl games to predicts on the grounds that it's hard to understand the Buckeyes' aggregate perspective.
That might be simpler to decide as the game draws nearer, and we will work under the supposition that whatever failure the group feels about not being a piece of the College Football Playoff will be relieved by an opportunity to play in one of the country's head bowl games.
Ohio State has a touchy offense and ought to have the capacity to score with some consistency, yet the protection is temperamental. The Huskies can't coordinate the Buckeyes' hostile abilities however are very solid protectively.
Washington wouldn't get outflanked, and this ought to be a generally even game for a hour.
We see the Huskies remaining inside the 6.5-point spread however falling three points short. Ohio State makes due by a 31-28 edge.

meta. On Barnaby Kelley, Victor’s fourth victim. Naturally, this contains mentions of murder, death, and violence, as well as descriptions of mutilation though it is not in great detail.
Barnaby Kelley, known as Kels by his close friends, was a serial killer. He was 40 to Victor’s 31 when he first encountered the man killing an unfortunate mugger who thought a knife would save him. Kelley, intrigued, stayed hidden, and watched as Victor dragged the body away and out of sight.
For the first time in his life, Kelley thought he had found a kindred spirit. He knew Manson, Bundy, Gaskins, of course, but never had he thought he would actually meet a man with his own ... predilections. So he followed Victor several blocks, but let off after mapping what seemed to be his route home. He knew enough.
Kelley liked to kill women. Sex workers, in his eyes, were the best targets, because in his opinion no one would miss them -- they were like tilapia at the fish market, cheap and hardly worth it. He would bring them into his car, or his apartment, offer them a drink. When they inevitably drank, or refused, he would strike. Even when they weren’t drugged he was fast, and strong, and he could take his time with killing them ; cutting off all the outer bits, before they inevitably died of blood loss. Sometimes, he kept the limbs before they started to rot. Mostly, he took Polaroids.
So, convinced he had found some he could share his collection with, Kelley began to stalk Victor. After several encounters in a coffee shop (that was out of the way to Kelley’s workplace, but across the street from the autobody shop), he managed to strike up a friendly relationship with the normally terse Victor. Victor, of course, had no idea Kelley knew of his murder ; he was simply glad someone had deigned to talk to him. One day, Kels invited Victor over for a beer at his place.
There was no Rohypnol in this drink. It was simply a friendly gesture. They sat in silence for a moment, drinking quietly in Kels’ living room, and he smiled. He asked if he could show Victor something. Curious, Victor nodded.
He took him into his room, and he reached deep into his closet, and he pulled out a lockbox. When he opened it, he smiled, and held a Polaroid picture out to Victor.
It was the body of a woman. Quite literally the body -- it was a headless, limbless torso, naked and covered in blood. A part of Victor was intrigued by the violence, the gore covering it. The rest of him was very, very disturbed.
“ Why do you have these? ” Victor said quietly, looking up at Kelley.
Kelley grinned, and it was wide and too mirthful. “ That one not your taste? Check this one out. ” He gave Victor another Polaroid, this one of another naked, dead woman, a long cut down her torso. Her organs were peeking out.
Victor said nothing. Kelley continued to grin. “ Well? ”
“ What else do you have? ” Victor said, and his voice was barely above a whisper.
Kelley roared with laughter, and he went to the door and gestured Victor come with him. They went into the kitchen. Kelley turned to the fridge and opened the freezer on top, and he reached in and pulled out something wrapped in plastic.
It was a head. A woman’s head, in a plastic bag, and her eyes were half - lidded and Victor could feel his hands shaking.
“ I might be a little ... out of the ordinary. Considering what I do with them, ” Kelley said casually, observing the head and not noticing how Victor was reaching in his pocket. “ But I saw what you were doing to that guy on the street. Did you, uh --- ”
“ Shut up. ”
“ What? ” Kelley frowned as he turned, and those were the last coherent words Barnaby Kelley ever spoke.
----
The police came on an anonymous tip that someone they wanted to catch was on floor 5, apartment 521. When they came in the unlocked door, they found the corpse of Barnaby Kelley lying on the floor. On top of his torso, covering the twenty - five stab wounds that had been inflicted on him, there was a severed head of a woman wrapped in plastic. In Kelley’s room they found a lockbox sitting on the bed, surrounded by Polaroids of women in various states of mutilation. On the inside of the open lockbox there was a note in permanent marker, evidently written with a left hand. It read ;
HE SHOWED ME THEM SO I SURE SHOWED HIM
