Vicky and Mimi stood in the wings, hearts beating in unison with the pulsing music. The stage, a realm of magic and grace, awaited to embrace their every movement. The audience, an unseen sea of anticipation, held its breath.

Mimi inhaled deeply, the weight of legacy pressing down on her. Her mother, a former prima ballerina who had once commanded the role of Swan Queen, watched from the audience. Mimi longed to make her proud, even if she wasn't the Swan Queen herself. Her colleague, Austie, had claimed that honor, leaving Mimi with a lingering ache of disappointment.

Vicky, sensing Mimi's unease, gently took her hand. “You’re going to be amazing out there. We’ve practiced so much, and you’re incredible.”

Mimi squeezed Vicky’s hand, drawing strength from her touch. “I know. I just… I want my mom to be proud of me. She was the Swan Queen, and I’m just one of the little swans.”

“You’re more than just a little swan.” Vicky whispered, her voice like a soothing melody. “You’re my swan. And your mom will be proud of you, no matter what. We’re a team, remember?”

Mimi nodded, a flicker of calm settling within her. They stepped onto the stage, taking their positions. As the quiet of the second act enveloped them, Tchaikovsky's "Dance of the Little Swans" finally began. Each step, each jump, represented a seamless dance of unity and elegance. But to the girls, it was a testament to their love and dedication.

As they danced, Mimi felt her anxiety dissipate, replaced by the sheer joy of the performance. The audience's gaze was a distant hum; all that mattered was the dance, the moment, and Vicky by her side. They moved together, a symphony of grace, embodying the ethereal beauty of the little swans.

When the final note resonated through the theater, the audience erupted in applause. Mimi and Vicky took their bows, breathless and radiant. Mimi’s eyes searched the crowd until she found her mother’s face, illuminated with pride.

Back in the wings, Vicky enveloped Mimi in a tight, warm embrace. “See? You were extraordinary. I told you.”

“You never have to,” Vicky murmured, brushing a kiss against Mimi's cheek. “We’re in this together, always.”

New life part 4 - the harbinger of doom is the seagull

(Heaven's Secret x MC brother reader)

Y/N POV

Vicky got Mimi's room and I showed her around the school, the next few days went pretty much without a problem, Lucifer and I started to respect each other, but I wouldn't call it friendship When Misselina and I were going over history I noticed my curious sister asking questions, but I didn't pay much attention. One day she took a "test" like I did. Mimi couldn't tell her anything, Adi and the others started encouraging her and eventually she jumped. We all watched to see if she would spread her wings. She was too late and probably set a new record for this "tradition". Everyone started chanting, whistling and clapping.

Y/N:" that's my sister, bitches" I yelled with pride in my voice

Y/N:" Geralt's lesson is about to start, we have to go"

we came to the garden and Geralt was waiting for us

Geralt:"Today, we will focus on energy exchange. It will allow you to identify the person in front of you, even if their true identity is concealed

Andy:“ Can we hide our true indentity?“ He asked with a surprised look on his face

Geralt:“Of course.You can pretend to be human, alter the look of your wings…. For a time, at last.“

Geralt then walked closer to Vicky and looked into her eyes

„Our eyes can be deceived. Our feeling cannot.“ As soon as he finished, he touched her stomach

„this is energy. Like fingerprints, everyone has a unique energy signature“

Geralt stepped away, marched across the row to students and, returning to his place, stood stil again.

Energy alone can indentify a demon’s or angel’s ranks. Who can named hem?“

then Austie held up a finger, I knew about her, typical demon

Gralt:" Austie"

Austie:“Demon’s and angel’s hierarchies are the same. As student, we’re at teh bottom of this chain“

Great, so if I get expelled from school, I'll be some kind of worm for everyone to boss around.

She briefly glanced at me, Vicky and Andy.

„Disregarding the unclaimed, of course, who don’t even reach that level“

Y/N:“ "I'll show you what we're capable of." I said in a firm voice, looking at her with a fixed gaze." She was surprised at what I did and Luficer just smiled

Austie:“ Folloving the angels and demons are the archangels and archdemons. Next are principalities, dominions, virtues, powers, thrones… Eatch higher rank rules over those below. Together they rule over heaven and hell, keeping the world in check. At top of the chain are the cherubinm and the seraphim. Only Shepfa is above them all.“

Geralt:“ that’s correct, Austie“

After she mentioned the seraphim, Vicky looked like she was lost in thought.

Geralt:“Most likely, you’ll never meet anyone ranking higher that the archangels and archdemons. Unsless your father is Satan“

After that some people started laughing and Lucifer put on this sly smile

Geralt:“ Judging by energy alone, you shoud be capable of determining how powerful is the demo n or angel standing before you. This is important and it may save your life“

Vicky:“ Would the attack us?“

Geralt:“How do they say it back on earth? „hope for the best, prepare for the worst“. You shoud learn to fight, even if you end up never needing to. Now I want you to feel eatch other’s energy. Split into groups of two and stand face to face. Touch the one in front of you. Embrace if you must“

Adi:“ can we kiss?“

Geralt:“ So it be. You may kiss Sammy“ I laughed after that one, too.

but Adi took it literally and they actually kissed

Y/N:" they're together, aren’t we?"

Mimi:" yeah"

Geralt:“ Enough with your sideshow. Study one another’s energy for few minutes then switch partners“

Austie was standing across from me, luckily I'm taller than her.

Austie:" Show me what you can do."

Y/N:" whatever you think," I said and with one hand I pressed her head against mine and the other hand on her stomach she did the same, after a while I felt the energy, it tasted like roses. It appeared to me as dark red light.

Austie:" your taste like iron, grey light, I like it" After that we switched partners and Mimi was across from me, my heart skipped a beat, we took each other's hand, and let the energy flow.

Mimi’s tasted like sour raspberry. It appeared to me as red light.

Y/N:" your energy tastes good"

Mimi:" your energy is iron, very interesting energy"

We looked into each other's eyes for a moment when Geralt shouted "Nemesis, let her go"

I turned around and saw this weird statue holding Vicky and mumbling something. Such a nice moment, and the stupid statue fucked it up.

Dino finally pulled Vicky away from the statue. After the situation calmed down, Geralt split us into groups me, Vicky, Mimi, Adi, Sammy and Andy and we had time to check out the others' energies for an hour.

Mimi:“ I suggest we go to our hideout“

Vicky:“ Your hideout“

Mimi:“ to crying virgins“

it was in a place where we'd have to fly, and Vicky seemed like she could handle it. Luckily Vicky made it but lost her balance on landing and fell on her face. Then Adi and the others explained the history of this place after that we had to climb a lot of stairs after that, but it was no big deal.

Adi:“ Let’s play wagat“

Vicky:“ What’s wagat“

Mimi:“ It’s game of the fallen who’ve had too mutch Glif to grink.“

Sammy:“ It can by played sober as well.“

Vicky:“ tell me rules.“

Adi:“ My dear Vicky, are you aware that the only things that no one can conceal – not even Shepfa- are their eyes? Eyes are the window to the soul. But I’m sure you knew that“

Sammy:“ According to the rules of the game, you have to read other player’s past by looking into theirs eyes. If you uncover something meaningful, the others player fulfills your wish“

Mimi:“ if not, you fulfill his“

Andy:“Doesn’t sound that bad to me“

Adi clapped his hands together „ Wonderful. I’ll start“

He walked over to Vicky, took her cheeks in his hands so she couldn't turn her head and looked long into her eyes.

Adi:“ Weeelll…. I see…..Misselina. She told you something important---- something stunned you.“

Vicky:“ that’s right. She told me my mom is a sereph“ This was too much even for me

Y/N:“ we're a really weird family" Everyone looked at me.

Andy:" you didn't know?"

Y/N:" does my reaction look like I knew?!"

Adi:“ Did you feel her energy? How exited she got?“ Said with big smile on his face

Sammy:“ you owe him a wish“

Vicky:“ Fine, What’s your wish?“

Adi:“ I’m kind demon. I love passion. Kiss one of us. Whomever you want“

Vicky:“ Even you or Sammy“?

Adi he just grinned and said "why not?"

Vicky took Andy's head and kissed him.

After a while they stopped and Andy had a look of confusion on his face

Sammy:“ that was…“

Adi:" Hot. We’ve seen enough shades of your energy, time to move on.“

For the next hour into eatch other’s eyes to try and unclover everyone’s most vulnerable moments.

We heard many thing:

Mimi:“ Wait, Adi, why are you bi?“

Adi:“Can’t you tell?“ said with smile

Sammy:“ Mimi, you’re love with Lucifer?“

She flared up, the went silent. After a few moment, she answered.

Mimi:“No!“

Sammy:“ Then why do you always stare at him? His imagine is engraved in your eyes.“

Adi started to cough and elbowed Sammy.

Mimi:“ Shut up. That’s not true! I’m nobody compared to Lucifer. Even if I wanted to, I wouldn’t be allowed to by rank…

Y/N:“ and you like someone else?" everyone turned to me and Mimi replied

"Yes, but I'll never tell his name."

Adi:“Sammy, you’ve lost“

Sammy:“ What? It’s clear as day…“

He looked at Mimi’s face and shut up.

„okay, I lost. What’s you wish?“

She straightened her clothes and hair anxiously. „Steal something from angel Fencio. From his office.“ she said with an innocent smile.

Sammy:“ What?! Are you just mad about me telling the truth?

Mimi:“ Do it“

Sammy:“ He’ll kill me if I get caught“

Y/N:“ in your own interest, you should try not to get caught.“ I said with deep smile

Adi:“ it looks like a new demon will appear," he said with excitement.

After a while, Sammy flew in and showed what looked like a small phonograph

Mimi:“ the Translator? You intentionally took something that Fencio doesn’t care about?“ she said in disgust

Y/N:" what can it translate?

Sammy:" Anything you want“

Y/N:" what about the old statue"

Andy:" you mean Nemesis"?

Y/N:" yeah"

Vicky:“ What language did Nemesis speak?“

Adi:“ Old Angelic“

Vicky:“ Do you know it?“

Mimi:“ No. No one’s relly used it for a long time. When demons and angels began to work with humans, they picked up on their dialects“

Y/N:" so let's try it!" I took the translator and went to the statue"

The others followed me. When we arrived there was no one there.

Vicky:“ where is everybody?

Mimi:“Geralt is always late…. But we’re also about ten minutes early“

Y/N:“ So, how to use it?“

Adi:“ Puti t up to her mouth like megaphone“

the statue was taller than I expected but I was still able to put it in her mouth and then she started moving her lips and started talking

„Changes are coming. The day cannot last foraver, but the night will be ruthless and terrifying. Your demise has one blue eye and the other red. He will come and také your peace away. He fill the pools with blood and tears. What happened once will happen again. She stopped speaking and returned to her previous pose as though she’d never moved at all.“

We looked nervously at each other

Y/N:“ it looks like we're in for trouble“

After a few minutes, we heard hurried steps coming toward us.

Geralt appeared at the countryard’s entrance.

He came down the stairs, disheveled and little out of breath.

The others angels and demons followed him in a line.

Geralt:“ Ah, you’re already here. Good.

Arrange yourselves into several rows.

Geralt:“ Vicky, stand here in the center. Turn around so you cannot see who is standing where. Now, I will call out yours group members. Your task is to locate the person I name. Without looking. Relying on energy alone. Do you understand?“

Vicky:“ Yes“ then asked her where Andy, Mimi, Sammy, Adi and finally me were standing. She was able to identify all of them. This one tested us all. We all made it.

All of a sudden a deafening screech ochoed thtough the sky. Everyone looked up, trying to find the sourse.

Mimi:“ is that a seagull?“

Austie:“ It can’t be“

The screech came again. This time, it was louder and longer. The next moment, a tiny white appeared from behind the academy towers.

Andy:“It is a seagull!“

Mimi covered her mouth with her hands, staring at little bird in horror.

Y/N:“ I knew there would be trouble!"

Vicky:“ What’s the matter? It’s just a seagull“

Mimi:“ You don’t understand“

Sammy:“ A seagull above the academy is forebonding sing“

„It’s harbinger if disaster“ Mimi added

After a while, the whole flock was in the sky until the cola covered the sky

Geralt:" Shepha, enlighten us" he said in fear and amazement

One by one. The birds were dropping from the sky---- dead.

Geralt:“ everyone, get inside! Now!“ He was scared

I literally grabbed Mimi and threw her inside then yelled at the others to hide.

BAM

I turn around and I see this thing. Subantra, that thing is standing over Vicky, about to attack.

I ran and threw the thing to the ground.

Y/N:" RUN" I helped Vicky up and ran into the building, but the creature was faster and slashed me across the back.

Y/N:" AAAGH!"

everything happened so fast, when I turned around Geralt disarmed the thing, then came running up to me

Geralt:" Hang on, boy, you're gonna be all right"

There was a lot of blood coming out of my back, Adi and Sammy grabbed me and carried me.

Then I just heard Geralt explaining to Vicky what Subantra was, then I passed out.

It was a stupid way to greet someone, really. Saying that she was lucky simply to have Mimi as her roomate. What was she expecting? For Vicky to kneel down and thank Sherpa for such an honor? And why was she thinking about that at 2 am? It's been months since that happened, why was she embarrassed by it only now? Vicky found it funny, it made her smile. And her smile was so beautiful.

Maybe Mimi should say more embarrassing things to see more of Vicky's smile.

Not that the unclaimed didn't smile at her. She did. All the time. But maybe that would make her stay.

Maybe if she made Vicky smile more she wouldn't spend so much time with her angel friends. Maybe she wouldn't turn around after they just finished making out and go to sleep on her own bed. Maybe Vicky could choose to become a demon. Maybe she could choose Mimi.

Those stupids two am thoughts. Of course she would become a demon. Her behavior and her choices were all too far away to be one of an angel. Besides, it would be too stupid of her not to choose Mimi. All those flies that were always around her were nothing in comparison to the little princess of hell, not even the actual prince of hell, that bothered Vicky too much and it was too touchy in Mimi's opinion.

But why was she awake at two in the morning feeling annoyed about other people flirting with Vicky?

The unclaimed turned around towards Mimi for the first time in the night, her eyes still open and she clearly annoyed, making Mimi smirk.

-Your bed clearly seems to be uncomfortable if you are still awake this late.

-Is the same as your bed, Mimi.

-I actually assure you that mine is way more comfortable.

The demon patted her bed with a smirk high on her face, making the unclaimed roll her eyes, getting up from her own bed and laying down on Mimi's bed, keeping a small distance, one that Mimi quickly ended, pulling her closer by the waist, making Vicky smirk.

-Be careful little she-devil. You're already calling me to cuddle in the middle of the night. Maybe another kiss and you will be mine.

-You should go after your own nickname. Just giving me the same that my dad calls my mom and just adding little to it is kinda lame. -She stared at Vicky's lips, her own smirk had disappeared, but Vicky's was still high on her lips. -Besides, do you really think it is that easy to simply make me yours?

-I never said it was easy, meu coração, but you should stop acting like it is impossible.

Mimi lifted one eyebrow, shifting her gaze from Vicky's lips to her eyes and making the unclaimed smile larger. It was very rare that Vicky talked in her language. It was harder to unclaimeds to do it, their brains almost forcing them to speak the common language. But she was so sure of herself calling Mimi whatever she just did, that the demoness couldn't help herself but pull the ex-human even closer.

-What does it mean?

-I will tell you on the day you admit it.

-Admit what, unclaimed?

Vicky smiled, placing her hand on Mimi's cheek and rubbing her lips with her thumb, forcing the she-devil to stare at her lips.

-That you are already mine.

Mimi kissed her before her brain fully processed what the former mortal had just said. The kiss was hard, bruising, temperamental, just like Mimi herself was.

Always being too much for anyone. Always too quick, too hard, too much. Always needing to dilute herself down to everyone, because she was always too much. Maybe that was why she didn't get bored of Vicky.

Anyone else would already have started to undress her by now. They were alone, on the same bed and Mimi's kisses were just as feverish as they always were. No one would ever understand that Mimi kissed like that because she liked kissing like that. No causal relationship ever lasted because sometimes, and she would never admit it out loud, she just wanted to kiss by the thrill of it. Sometimes her feverish kisses and her small touches were just that.

But it was not normal.

Because when she reached the “kissing just because” phase, it started getting boring. The lust refused to give place to anything else, but her soul still craved for more. So when the lust subdued, as it always did, she just left, not having anything else that could make her stay.

But somehow, something on her refused to get bored of Vicky. The lust never subdued, like Mimi's mind was still obsessed with figuring out all the different reactions that the unclaimed could have and all of her whispers and sighs and screams, but the lust this time allowed so much more.

Her own mind refused to see Vicky only as someone she slept with. She was more. She was her roommate, her friend, her companion, the only shoulder Mimi allowed herself to cry on, the only one she was ever vulnerable with, the only one who she slept with and then she took home to meet her parents. She was…

The kiss was sweet now.

Her own thoughts subduing her feverish kisses. It was impossible imagining kissing anyone else like that. Slowly, sweetly, with only tenderness and affection and fondness. Vicky's hand was still holding her face, so softly that Mimi almost wanted to cry. It had already been more than one kiss. Hell, there have already been more than ten kisses. And maybe the unclaimed was right all along.

It almost hurted her when Vicky pulled away, now with a gentle smile, rubbing her thumb against the demoness’ cheek and looking softly into her eyes, almost as if she knew something about Mimi that the demoness didn't know herself. And on that she was wrong, Mimi knew. And her heart laid completely bare now, unsure of how to protect itself while being held completely in Vicky's hands.

-We need to go to sleep. Gerald’s class is the first in the morning, we can't sleep in.

Mimi simply nodded, hiding her head on the juncture between Vicky's neck and shoulder, not saying anything else. Scared of the words that would leave her lips if she were to say anything at all. Vicky hugged her close. Mimi could feel her smile when the girl left a kiss on her forehead. She could feel herself slowly drifting to sleep now that the reason for her awakeness lay on her arms, and as her conscience drifted far away, she still could hear it.

-Good night, my heart.
