What Is The Use of Vibration Testing Equipment?
Vibration testing plays a crucial role in understanding how products behave under various mechanical stresses. It’s essential for ensuring the durability and reliability of components across industries like automotive, aerospace, electronics, and manufacturing. At Pride Testing Services, we provide advanced vibration testing equipment and expert analysis to evaluate the performance of products in real-world conditions. Let’s explore the uses and importance of vibration testing equipment.
Understanding Vibration Testing
Vibration testing involves subjecting a product or component to controlled vibrations to assess its behavior and performance. The goal is to identify potential weaknesses or failure points by simulating the vibrations that occur during normal operation, transportation, or environmental conditions. This type of testing is critical for products that will be exposed to vibrations during use, such as electronics, vehicles, and machinery.
Key Uses of Vibration Testing Equipment
Product Durability Assessment Vibration testing helps manufacturers assess how well their products can withstand the forces they will encounter during use. For example, electronic devices, such as smartphones, undergo vibration tests to ensure their internal components remain intact during everyday handling or shipping.
Quality Control By using vibration testing equipment, businesses can ensure that their products meet industry standards for quality and safety. Testing for structural integrity under vibration ensures that components perform reliably throughout their lifecycle, reducing the risk of defects or failures once they are in the hands of customers.
Simulation of Real-World Conditions Whether it’s the vibrations from an airplane’s engine, the movement of a car on rough roads, or equipment operating in an industrial setting, vibration testing simulates real-world conditions to predict how a product will behave in different environments. This type of testing is invaluable in designing products that are resilient to stress.
Fatigue Testing Vibration testing also helps detect the effects of repeated stresses on a product. It simulates long-term use and can identify areas where fatigue may cause cracks, failure, or wear. This is particularly important in industries like automotive and aerospace, where component failure can lead to significant safety risks.
Compliance with Industry Standards Many industries have stringent regulations regarding the performance and safety of their products. Using vibration testing equipment ensures that manufacturers comply with these standards. Pride Testing Services offers testing services that help businesses adhere to relevant industry guidelines and certifications, ensuring their products are market-ready.

Read on AO3 or below the cut!
Steve's attempt at a record-breaking gangbang ends up with him flying back to Hawkins to track down number one-ninety-eight. The mystery man who left an impression. - A thumb swipes his lower lip. Breath ghosts along the bite mark on his shoulder. It stings. Steve hopes he drew blood. “I’ll remember this forever, sweetheart.”
Thank you to @cowboythighs for giving me permission to write this fic based on their super fun prompt, which you can read here~
Read the full fic below:
What’s in his fridge?
There’s at least one bag of broccoli, half a container left of that nice parmesan he splurged on…maybe the chicken wings in his freezer are still okay. Hopefully? He still has some of that decadent hickory barbeque sauce. There’s no reason he can’t cover a bit of freezer burn with a healthy dousing of the stuff. He didn’t do the dishes last night, but that’s fine. Has time to run the dishwasher before–
Something vibrates. Loudly.
Someone’s phone is going off in the middle of the shoot.
Steve lifts his head, annoyed that the director hasn’t called cut yet. The man on top of him is dripping sweat, a bead of which narrowly misses landing in his eye. Steve casts a look sideways, hoping to catch the director raising his walkie.
Nope. Still posted up behind his wall of cameras. Stoic as ever, the man watches Steve work.
Steve lets the moment drag, his expectant silence punctuated only by the grunting and groaning of the muscled man pumping away between his spread legs.
More loud vibrations.
He cranes his neck to see over the man’s shoulder, sees the clock over the huddled producers and decides himself it’s time for a break.
Steve presses a hand against the massive chest above him and pushes lightly. The man’s movement falters, stops. Steve meets his eyes with an easy air of I’m the star, get off me, and it does the trick. The behemoth withdraws from Steve’s body with a mutter and wipes the sweat from his red brow as Steve swings his legs over the platform and sits up. He tests his weight, but finds he can still place pressure where he needs to without any pain.
The director shouts something Steve doesn’t hear. Calls back, “Somebody’s phone is going off! It’s ruining the vibe.”
“What phone? I don’t hear a phone,” the director says in his heavy German accent, shrugging in a way that rankles Steve. “We’re almost at two-hundred, surely it can—”
“No, it can’t wait. I need five anyway.” His own assistant appears by his side with a robe.
Steve shrugs it on and heads toward the source of the vibrations. Around him, production comes to a standstill while fluffers and PAs run around tending to the talent.
Steve tracks the phone down in a bag near craft services, but a producer beats him to it. She sheepishly digs out her phone and shuts it off, muttering an apology.
Steve sighs, grabs another cracker and decides to take a much needed bathroom break. On his way, he grabs his own phone and sees a text from Robin.
still good for eight?
I’m only at 197, might be closer to 9 or 10.
big ew, but congrats. should I pick up dessert?
Coffee double dutch choco cake pls?
obvi, my very spoiled friend. have fun you little award winning superslut!
Thx, lov u!
Robin sends back a string of emojis. He finishes up in the bathroom, thinking of all the times he’s been nominated for an AVN but never won. And it’s not like it’s terribly hard. He chooses interesting projects. He works with skilled teams. He stays clear of scandals and keeps his nose figuratively and literally clean of all the seedy underground bullshit that comes with the job.
But best actor still eludes him.
It grinds his gears, or at least the ones he used to have back in high school. The ones driving him to be a better player than everyone else at basketball practice, the ones that pushed him to state championship games three of his four years at Hawkins High. The ones that crowned him prom king and made him a bullshit name for a bullshit time in his life.
It’s his inner machinery, and even though he’s grown up a lot in the last five years, he’s still yet to replace some old rusted parts.
As he returns to set, Steve runs his hands through his hair, pinches both cheeks a little to bring a fresh blush back to the surface. His assistant applies lip gloss as he situates himself back on the black and white platform where he’s been fucked for the last three hours by one-hundred-and-ninety-six men.
He’s aiming for three hundred before dinner. Three-fifty if more than a good chunk of the men left are two-pump chumps. It’s about scheduling.
Steve shifts his weight from one asscheek to another, feels a brief twinge in his lower back. He flips over, stomach pressing against the slim pleather cushion.
It’s almost five.
The director claps his hands, and once Steve is in position, everyone resumes their roles. He gets comfortable on his elbows, cock limp between his legs and showing for the camera. He hears the next guy shuffle up behind him, can hear the shaky breath leave him.
Everyone knows their part to play in this circus, and Steve knows his best of all. He’s front and center, surrounded by a seemingly endless line of men of all ages, shapes and sizes. He’s taken more dick and strap today alone than he probably has in the last few years combined.
He’s going to win best actor, and he’s going to win best gangbang.
The thing about sex work is that it’s like any other job, really. There are good days, long days, fun days, days that drive him up the fucking wall. There are times he’s excited, nervous, bored out of his skull. Most shoots he books last a day or two, and hardly ever does one last more than a week, tops. This isn’t his first gangbang scene, but it is a record breaker for him, and several others in the industry as far as he’s researched.
But so far it’s been a lot of the same. Almost two hundred men and he hasn’t held a steady erection since an hour in and now he’s been daydreaming while giving tried and true sultry looks to the camera, fake moans of practiced pleasure leaving his throat.
Steve’s good at his job.
He’s been doing it since his parents cut him off and kicked him out at eighteen. He moved to LA and lived in his car until Robin graduated and followed him to the big city. It was exhilarating at first, fun. These days, at twenty-three, he’s mostly just bored.
And he knows better than to ignore an ache. If he holds one position for too long, he’ll be wrecked for a week. He’s big enough of a name now he can negotiate a lot of his contracts, and so he always gets control over how he’s positioned. The cameras can figure it out from there.
“And…action!”
Steve pouts for the camera in front of him, parts his freshly glossed lips and crosses his eyes a little. He never got the cross-eyed thing, but it’s apparently a huge kink for some.
Fingertips tickle over his ass, lead to palms lightly petting his hips. Steve wiggles for the man he can’t see, encouraging and coaxing as he goes to his knees and leans back. Wants to be grabbed, manhandled. Add the potential for a little healthy bruising and the audience eats it up.
But that doesn’t happen. Instead, he hears a breathy sigh from behind him, and then the sound of spit a second before he feels it hitting his hole. It drips down slowly, painting him wet, and Steve keens for the lens trained on his face.
The thing about this shoot is that it’s been a nightmare to plan. A year to put together a schedule, another six months to find the talent. There’s been cancellations, reschedules, a few deaths even, more casting, issues with health insurance and testing dates. Steve’s been along for it all, because this is his project. His idea, his brainchild.
All for one day.
One day to break some records. Prove to himself he can do this. That what he does can win awards and not only nominations.
After that he can take a very, very long break.
The hand rubs up and down his spine, firm and sure. Applies a little pressure at the lumbar and Steve actually lets out a small moan. It’s nice. He might set up a massage for tomorrow.
The camera swings wide, leaves Steve’s face and gives him some breathing room. The hand on his back remains while the other presses two fingers to his hole. He’s stretched, lubed beyond the meaning of the word even before the spit. There’s no need to finger him open.
But he receives a gentle probing with two fingers, a few deep, slow strokes that press in search with what seems to be a practiced touch. Steve rolls his hips back. Takes a few tries, but when the extra finds his prostate, he gasps, drives back to meet that zing of electricity again and again.
“God, just look at you,” the extra whispers. “Can’t wait to feel you. I’m so lucky.”
Steve moans. Not so fake this time. He drops his head, catches sight of lightly haired thighs covered in scribbly tattoos. He doesn’t even take into account the size of the man behind him, too focused on his own swiftly filling erection.
Huh.
It’s not like it’s a requirement or anything, by contract or personal preference of his scene partners. A lot of the time the bottom isn’t hard. Not exactly fair, but a limp bottom does not a film break, or whatever. More than a few of the men who have been inside him today have paid him plenty of attention, even tried for longer than Steve felt necessary. But they were all here to do a job, and that was to film a gangbang scene with Steve as the gangbangee. Hard or limp, he just wanted them to finish in him so they could get the shot and all go home to a nice hot shower.
“You’re gorgeous, y’know that?”
Though dirty talk was common, it wasn’t in the script for this shoot. And it wasn’t the usual lead-in of fuck yeah, look at your puffy hole, you take it so well, you’re like a bitch in heat, take that shit, take it like a whore.
“That’s it, baby, relax for me.”
It’s sweet…it’s kind. Things a lover would say.
Another strike of lightning burns him from the inside out, and Steve lets out a breath he’d been holding.
The hand at his back glides down, calloused fingers smoothing over his skin, until the director calls for penetration.
Steve wants to snap at him to shut the hell up. This is fine. More than fine, even. His prostate hasn’t exactly been the star of the show today, and a little pleasure makes his job that more enjoyable.
The fingers leave, and in their place frustration grows. That is, until the blunt head of another cock is pressing against him–no, dragging. The man is rubbing himself over Steve’s hole. Isn’t shoving in and taking like all the others.
More spit hits his rim , makes him startle. The hand on his back draws circles to settle him like a spooked horse.
This isn’t lovemaking. This is a scene. Steve huffs at himself, thinks just stick it in already, dude.
The extra’s hands slide from his back to his hip, his other hand joining in and pulling Steve’s weight, using Steve’s own body to slide inside. Steve groans. The guy’s big, thick. Should have paid better attention while he had his head down.
“Knew you could take it, Harrington,” he says softly, and Steve almost misses it when the man whines as he bottoms out. Fingers dig into his sides, tight but not bruising. “Pictured it a little different, but a guy can’t complain.”
So the guy’s got a fantasy, that’s fine. A lot of the talent cast for this production expressed a desire to work with Steve. Came with the territory, and the long filmography.
But something about this man hits him a little different. His words have him melting enough to feel warmth build, begin to spread.
His legs are tingling, insides burning with the stretch and latent pleasure. He wants more.
He grinds his hips back, trying to put his weight into it. The man moans low and finally, finally, starts moving his hips. Drags Steve back on every thrust.
“Jesus, you’re so–so–” Another drawn-out moan and the man collapses along Steve’s back. He’s slim, but his arms are strong as they wind around Steve’s waist. More tattoos. Bats in flight, stretched faces with sharp teeth. Long hair tickles over his shoulder as the man noses along the back of his neck “You feel like a dream.”
It’s quiet. Quiet enough Steve knows the cameras won’t pick it up. It’s just for Steve, and that sends his blood rushing, dick kicking as tension builds in his belly.
“Shit,” he grinds out, feels drool slip from his open mouth to pool on the black pleather underneath. “Oh, God.”
“That’s it. Wanna make you feel good, sweetheart. Come on. You deserve to feel good.”
He’s so hard he’s aching. Feels the weight of himself slap his stomach on each ever harder, deeper thrust.
Steve’s going to come. He’s actually going to come.
“Just knew you’d be so good for me. Could tell the first day I ever saw you. Wanted you forever. And look what you’ve accomplished,” he babbles, Steve’s heart growing three sizes, “You’ve changed the industry. You showed LA who’s king.” A particularly deep thrust has his elbows giving out. The man effortlessly braces his abrupt fall, a calloused hand snaking up to pillow his jaw. Steve is vaguely aware of the camera in front of them both, but he couldn’t care less if he tried right now. It feels too good. Feels better than anything all day, all month, all year. To the cameras, it must look like Steve’s being choked, but it’s the farthest thing from it. He’s being held, kept safe. “Always knew you’d go places. Get everything you wanted and more. I was actually jealous, and look at us now. Can’t believe how lucky I am.”
Steve’s cursing, praying, something as he’s pressed into the pleather. Now, his cock is trapped, facing backward so every time the man draws out and pushes back in, their cocks drag for a brief moment of bliss. The cherry on top. Neat trick.
“Never thought I–never even dreamed–”
A gasp, a flash of teeth in skin and Steve is coming with a shout, flexing his ass to get more, more.
He feels warmth spread hot and wet inside him and knows this will only last another moment or two. He needs to turn around. To see the man that just took him apart without touching his cock. Needs to–
A thumb swipes his lower lip. Breath ghosts along the bite mark on his shoulder. It stings.
Steve hopes he drew blood.
“I’ll remember this forever, sweetheart.”
The director shouts something Steve doesn’t hear. Can’t comprehend past the pleasant hum buzzing inside him.
But then the weight on his back is gone, the cock inside him slips free and with it a spurt of come. Cameras circle back around to catch the aftermath, hears a muttered nice from some crewmember when they see the twin puddle beneath himself.
He rolls his eyes, safe to do with no coverage on his face.
He feels so empty. Cold begins to creep in.
Steve blinks quickly. Why is his throat suddenly so tight?
Then another man approaches, is lifting his hips up, is pushing in with absolutely zero patience or attention paid to Steve at all. And that’s fine. It is.
They’re on a schedule, after all.
-
“Yippee!” Steve claps when Robin sets the plate of cake before him.
She joins him on the couch, a forkful of her own piece of cake already in her mouth. “I don’t know how you’re even sitting right now.”
“It’s honestly not that bad.”
“Don’t talk with your mouth full.”
“Look who’s literally talking.”
Robin pulls her own fork free and sticks her tongue out. “Seriously though, you sure you don’t need anything? A heating pad? Ointment? Therapy?”
“Ha ha. I already took care of what I needed to–stop making that face, oh my God. I’m just dandy, Robs, don’t worry. I want to veg out and watch tv for the next six months and gain like twenty pounds.”
“You are too skinny.”
“My point exactly.”
“But, still like. Wow.”
“I know.”
“Three-hundred sixty-eight guys. Whole ass men were inside you today. That has to be a health issue for the community or something, right? How are your insides not melting out of you right now? I should have laid down a towel to protect your precious piece of shit couch.”
“You’re so funny, and it’s our precious piece of shit couch.” But even so, Steve preens a little. He did it. He broke his goal and then some. “I’m gonna win that goddamn award if it kills me.”
He looks over when she doesn’t answer. Robin is looking down at her plate.
They’ve had this argument before.
“I’m taking a break,” he says, reaching for her hand. She squeezes, and he squeezes back. “Promise.”
Robin nods. “So,” she says, shaking herself from the momentary tension, “you mentioned one guy was unique. I’m almost afraid to ask.”
He snorts. “Why?”
“I mean, was he like eighty or something? Was he dressed all in latex with one of those gas masks? Did he have two dicks or what?”
Steve laughs, drops her hand to grab a pillow, and throws it at her instead.
Then he tells her.
In as much detail as she can handle, anyway.
“Did you get his number?” Robin asks, and frowns when Steve shakes his head no. “What about a name?”
“It was kind of a rush, an in the moment kind of thing. Wasn’t really time for a lot of talking.”
“Oh my God, Steve.”
And then, his best friend in the entire world has an absolutely batshit idea.
-
He gets the call sheet from his favorite producer, an easy going older man with decades of experience in the industry. He doesn’t ask questions.
Three days later, Steve's got a list of three-hundred-and-sixty-eight names, including himself and the crew. Beneath the call sheet is a packet of numbers and addresses.
It might be a crazy idea…but Steve’s one of the world’s leading gay adult film stars. He can afford to be a little crazy.
So when his sabbatical officially begins, Steve starts calling.
-
The first thing he tries is going down to number one-ninety-eight. That makes sense, and even Robin had agreed.
But the man who answered was a fifty with a slightly higher voice than he remembers. He quickly thanked Steve for the experience, and the paycheck, but explained he didn’t have any tattoos. He was afraid of needles.
Steve huffs, crossing the name and number off.
His guy was definitely younger than that, had a deep, smooth voice. Had ink that looked homemade from a glance.
The list he has is in no discernible order. It’s neither numerical nor alphabetical. He checks the first few addresses and finds it has nothing to do with location, either.
So he calls each and every single person. Actually blocks out time to do it around breaks and lunch, time spent with Robin which they both agree is long overdue.
After a week and a half of calls, Robin drags him to the beach for an afternoon of sunbathing and people watching.
“I don’t know, Robin. I already crossed off the guys I know, the ones I’ve seen in other projects. But I’ve still got over a hundred people left.”
“Says the guy who wanted to bang over three hundred guys. This is your own fault.”
“I know,” he agrees, swirling his fingers through the sand. “I’m just…I don’t know. Worried, I guess.”
“Why?”
“What if he thinks I’m a freak for tracking him down? What if he wants nothing to do with me?”
Robin snorts. He looks her way, sees her nose and cheeks are red from the sun despite her large sunhat. Her toes are dug into the sand, and the book she’d been reading lays forgotten on her stomach.
“Don’t sell yourself short, Steve. From what you told me, it sounded like he had a little crush.”
“Yeah, but that could have been my filmography talking. Lot of guys say I’m on their shortlist of dream lays. It’s like a fantasy thing for them.”
“Disgusting. Absolutely abhorrent,” she says easily. “But you said your guy was different. You think it was just an act?”
“I couldn’t tell. He seemed…sweet. If that makes sense?” Steve shrugs, hands her the bottle of sunscreen. “You need another layer. You’re turning into a tomato, birdie.”
She cups her hands, and he squeezes a dollop out. As she rubs the lotion into her skin, she seems to consider what he’s said.
“How sweet can an actor in a gangbang be?”
“You’d be surprised.”
“Then you have to keep at it. You have to keep calling until you find him. You may strike out more often than not when it comes to dating, but you have, like, a good good people radar.”
“What does that mean?”
“I mean, you naturally attract decent people,” Robin says, smiling. “Take me, for example! I’m the best person you know.”
Heat climbs his face, settling at the tips of his ears. He sinks further into the beach foldout, embarrassed for a reason he can’t name. Robin’s smile turns knowing before softening into something closer to friendly pity.
Robin drops her book in the sand and stands, grabs Steve’s hand and starts pulling him toward the water’s edge.
“Come on, sourpuss, let’s go swim!”
-
He’s down to five people.
The phone numbers they gave were either disconnected or, more likely, fake. So he has no choice, really.
He decides to fully embrace his apparent new level of creepy stalker and physically visits their listed address.
The first three people are surprised but happy to see him, and he ends up sharing beers with two of them, but all three are very clearly not the person he’s looking for. The fourth is nice enough, if wary, but is in his forties and is trans. Is all too happy to show Steve the strap he used on the day. So that rules him out.
There’s one address left, and honestly Steve had been hoping it was a fluke. A mistake.
Because the address is in Hawkins, Indiana. His hometown.
He never chose a stage name, a mistake that many a producer and actor used to lecture him on in the first couple of years he was in the business. But he made it his own. It worked. His parents haven’t contacted him since he was kicked out, so if they know about his career choice, Steve isn’t aware. He prefers it that way.
He always imagined he’d send them a photo of him smiling with his AVN award when he finally won. A final, brief fuck you and career announcement all in one.
Needless to say he hasn’t been back to Hawkins once since he moved to LA. And though he isn’t shy about his legal name, Steve has never discussed his past, his childhood. Nobody in the industry that is legally allowed to discuss his association with Hawkins never has, because they simply don’t know.
Steve’s honestly a bit surprised nobody he used to know has reached out in the last five years. He knows Tommy at least frequented the sites his agency posts to. Nowadays, gay and straight films can be found in the same tags, same pages. Even if someone didn’t go looking for gay porn, they still might have come across Steve in something. An ad, even.
But no, nothing.
He’s not ashamed of what he does. He hasn’t actively avoided his past or anything. If anything, he’s simply strived to not care about it. It doesn’t matter. He hasn’t seen a Hawkins address in years.
Until now.
It’s weird. Could be some kind of underhanded prank. Maybe he should call his lawyer and tell him to expect some sort of blackmail soon.
The last four have led him to the neighboring cities around Los Angeles, but he’s not had to leave California yet. And being back in Indiana has him off his feet. Wrongfooted in some small way that leaves him feeling like a stranger. An impersonator.
He left small town life behind and made it big in a way that would have had every gossiping homebody’s heads turning if they knew.
Half expects to burst into flame the second he steps foot within city bounds.
But nothing happens. His rental car keeps driving. The turn off the highway is familiar, second nature.
He pulls into Hawkins and follows the directions parroted to him by his GPS. He notices several new fast-food places, the old mall has been redone, some houses seem bigger–but it’s still the same small, old town.
He comes to a crossroads. Left to Forest Hills Trailer Park where he’s never been, or right to what would eventually lead to Loch Nora and his childhood home.
He takes a left.
The trailer park isn’t huge, but each home has a small yard. He drives through a winding road that’s half gravel until he finds number fifty-three.
He parks, gets out and stands. Butterflies swarm his stomach, his palms sweating.
Steve gives himself a silent pep talk and walks up the short drive to the front door.
He knocks twice and waits.
It’s getting colder in Indiana. A few more weeks and there might be the first fall of snow. Back in California it was eighty-six degrees when he boarded the plane. He shivers.
Steve jumps a little when the door opens, the screen between him and an older man who frowns down at him.
“And who are you?”
“Hi! Hello. My name is Steve. I, um. Is there a Wayne Munson here by any chance?”
Steve steadies himself, tries to calm his rising nerves. He steps back to make room as the man opens the screen door and steps out into the early afternoon light.
“That would be me, son. Can I help you? You look a little lost.”
It’s not him.
Not his guy.
Steve’s stomach drops. Feels a little sick to his stomach.
The voice isn’t the same. It’s low, sure, but rougher with age. And Steve remembers the tickle of long hair along his skin. This man, Wayne Munson, is balding.
Unless he wore a wig…then, maybe…
He rechecks that this trailer is indeed number fifty-three.
“No, I uh. This is the place. This is going to sound strange, but I don’t suppose you have any tattoos?”
Wayne huffs. He pulls up his sleeve and shows Steve a faded old tattoo, a blue cross with blown out edges.
“Just the one.”
Steve nods, disheartened. “I see. Okay. I, uh, thanks for your time. I’ll just go–”
He turns, feeling foolish.
“Kid, wait a minute. Come on inside and warm up. You drink coffee?”
Steve debates. He’s cold, sure, but that’s an issue fixed by turning around and driving back to the airport to hop on a plane back to California.
Staying could turn out badly. Hawkins was never friendly to outsiders, and the rumor mill sprinted when it came to talk of things like sin and violating the good word of the Lord.
Steve’s pretty sure being a porn star is hidden somewhere in there.
And it was never a secret in backwoods like these people tended to dole out their own justice. Some kids were killed in Indy for being gay and working corners. Why not here, in the home of a man Steve doesn’t know?
He puts on his best smile. “That would be great, sir.”
The man drops his eyes to the ground, waves a hand at him. “Please, enough of that. I’m just Wayne. Always have been, always will be. Come on in, it’s not getting any warmer out here.”
Steve shuffles inside, thanking him. “Looks ready to snow soon.”
“Ah, another week or two I think. You from around here?”
“Used to be,” Steve says as Wayne gestures for him to sit on a stool at the kitchen counter. “I moved to California a few years back.”
“Hm.” Wayne starts a fresh pot of coffee, old-fashioned kettle on the stove. Steve’s grown used to his Keurig. “Big place compared to here. How d’you like it?”
“It’s busy. I’ve gotten used to it.”
“I imagine there’s always something for doing.”
Steve nods. “You’re right.”
“What d’you do for work out there? I’ve heard it’s all tech companies and wannabe actors.”
Steve runs a hand through his hair. “Well, actually…I’m an actor.”
“Ah, geez. Don’t mind me, it’s the stereotype.”
“No offense taken,” Steve says. “It’s kind of the reason I’m here.”
“Do tell.”
“It’s kind of embarrassing. I had this big, uh. Film. Scene. A big scene. It required a lot of background actors. Extras, you know?” Wayne nods. Steve is flubbing this big time, Christ. “I kind of hit it off with one of the–one of them. Fell a little in love if I’m being honest. My best friend, she had this crazy idea to get the call sheet and go down the list to see if I could find him.”
Wayne’s eyes go a little wide and it’s only when the kettle starts whistling that Steve realizes his slip up.
But Wayne beats him to it. He takes the kettle off the burner and starts fixing two cups of coffee. Says, “Young love’s hard to come by, kid. I’ve been telling my boy for years now, if ya find somebody worth chasing, you run. Doesn’t matter the obstacles, if they’re a boy or girl. Just run to em.”
“That’s…that’s really good advice,” Steve mutters, surprised and relieved when Wayne doesn’t seem to have a problem with him. “Means a lot, being from here.”
“Me, I’m from back south, but Hawkins is home. Strange as it is to hear, this town’s actually progressive compared to where I grew up. But there’s still work to do, that’s for damn sure.”
Wayne reaches into a cabinet and brings down a bottle of liquor Steve recognizes all too well. Good quality bourbon. Steve doesn’t miss the healthy pour that goes into each mug.
“Good for warmin’ up,” Wayne says as he passes one mug to Steve. He goes for the fridge next and pulls out a half eaten chocolate cake. “You fancy a piece? My boy whipped it up, but I told him like hell he expects me to finish it on my own.”
“Oh, I don’t want to take up your time–”
“You’d be doing me a favor,” Wayne cuts in, smiling in a way his parents never did. Kind, warm. Real.
Steve relaxes the rest of the way, the tension leaving him all at once. Wayne Munson’s a good guy.
“I’d love one.”
-
“...and I told my boy, I said, if music is what you wanna do, you go and do it. Convinced him to get his GED and get out of dodge. School was never much of a Munson family pastime, anyway.”
“God, yeah. I hated school. I barely graduated, and that was still a few months after I got kicked out.”
Wayne shakes his head, takes a sip of his beer. They’re sitting on the front porch, watching the sun begin its slow descent. Steve almost forgot how pretty Indiana skies could be.
“I knew your folks, y’know. Back in high school. Forgive me for saying it, but your father was a real piece of work.”
Steve can’t help the bitter sound that leaves him. “Trust me, I know.”
“Can’t stand a parent dumping their kid on the world like that. More like dumping the world on their kid. Real life is tough shit. If you love your children, you don’t just abandon them to figure it out for themselves.”
Steve hums. Takes a chance. “It sounds like you’re talking from experience?”
Wayne scowls out into the distance. “It was just me and Al for a long time. Our parents weren’t around much, and when they were they weren’t the best. We all did what we could.” He shakes his head again, meets Steve’s eyes. “Just a shame Al turned out exactly like our old man. Couldn’t spot respectable if it bit him on the balls.”
Steve laughs again.
Wayne lifts his beer and points out to the gravel road. “‘Bout time!”
Steve looks out and watches an old beat-up van wind down the road, music getting louder the closer it gets.
“You’ve got company! You should have said. You’ve been so kind, I’ll get out of your hair.”
“Don’t be stupid,” Wayne tells him good-naturedly. “That’s just my boy. Owes me dinner since I’ve cooked the last few.” Adds when the van is parking behind Steve’s rental, “You should stick around for supper. He makes a mean lasagna.”
“I really should…”
Then Steve sees him.
Wayne’s boy, who he’d assumed at first was his son but learned was the nephew he took in after his brother fucked up somewhere along the way.
Steve’s throat goes dry.
The music cuts off as the van door opens and out hops a man with wild black curls tied up into a mess of a bun. He’s not even looking their way as he hip checks the door closed and walks back to the double doors. He swings them open, grabs a duffle, many bags of groceries baring the local Krogers logo, and a large glass casserole dish that looks far too fragile to be balancing the way it is. Before he closes the doors again, a large orange tabby hops out and winds around his legs, rubbing and trotting after its owner as he heads up the drive.
“Sorry I’m late, old man. Store was packed, and then Garfield here didn’t want to…Oh.”
He slows when he sees his uncle has company. Stops completely when his eyes land on Steve.
The guy’s young, could be a few years on either side of Steve’s age. He’s wearing all black denim, complete with chains and large belt buckle. His knuckles are tattooed and Steve wonders where else he has them.
And he’s familiar is the thing.
And isn’t that funny?
Because back in school. Steve would play reckless and brash. He’d skip school, get in plenty of fights he always lost. Made friends with the wrong crowd and got into enough trouble. And he would wonder, in the way only a closeted bisexual boy could in the Midwestern US, what it would be like to run away with someone a little older, a little rougher, a little more mean. Someone who knew more about the world. Who didn’t give a shit about kid stuff like Steve used to, like reputation and dating and getting into girls’ pants as much as possible. On being the best all-American athlete he could so others would think, wow, that Steve Harrington sure is going places.
He would wonder, in profound secrecy and silence and repression, what it would be like to kiss someone like the man stood before him under the shade of a tall tree in the woods behind his house. What it might be like to touch another boy and not have to be afraid to death of the idea.
The large cat, Garfield, rubs up along Steve’s legs then. Walks a figure eight between them and yowls to be paid attention to. Steve reaches down to pet between his ears, is vaguely aware of the two other men talking to one another, of Wayne explaining why Steve is here, who Steve even is.
And Steve knows this guy. He does.
He’s got long hair. Tattoos, maybe more hidden away. Has plush lips and flushed cheeks from standing in the cold with arms weighed down by too many things, and, and–
“You’re–”
“I’m Steve,” Steve says, straightens back up and holds out his hand. “Steve Harrington.”
The other man gawks. A bag slips from his fingers and a tub of cream cheese goes rolling right back down the small incline.
“Jesus, boy,” Wayne’s muttering, walking down to help with the groceries. He grabs the serving dish first, then heads for the runaway cream cheese. “Where’d your manners go? Introduce yourself!”
Wayne grumbles as he heads after the thing.
Steve’s hand is grasped, shaken, held. Steve smiles. Wants to roll up the long sleeves to see if he’s covered in the bats he saw during filming.
“I’m Eddie,” Eddie says, breathes really.
And oh wow. Wow.
Steve doesn’t let go, and neither does Eddie.
“I heard you make a mean lasagna.”
A smile splits Eddie’s pretty mouth. “That so? I wonder who said that.”
“Somebody who loves his nephew a whole lot.”
“Huh, no idea. Could you clue me in?”
Steve steps closer. “Think a little harder? Maybe you forgot.”
“Maybe,” Eddie says, and though it’s soft, it’s undeniable. “Always forgetting things, that’s me.”
It’s him.
Wayne passes them by again, taking another bag from Eddie’s hands. Eddie sets the rest down at their feet, sparkling, dark eyes never leaving Steve’s.
“Steve here’s an actor. Eddie, weren’t you telling me you had a gig down in LA with the band a few weeks back? What a coincidence, that.” He keeps walking.
Steve watches him go inside, Garfield hopping happily after him.
When he turns back around, Eddie’s close enough he can feel his breath.
Steve glances at his lips. Sees them bend with amusement.
“It’s funny.”
“What is?”
“King Steve, here in my uncle’s humble abode. What a surprise.”
King Steve is as close a moniker he’s ever received working in the industry. An irony that’s followed him from high school into adulthood, even though the two weren’t connected.
And something inside Steve breaks apart, blooms, shines.
It’s him.
Eddie reaches up, traces a thumb along his bottom lip.
“I think we’ve met.”
“I think you’re right.”
“Care to stay for some homemade cooking, your liege? I think we have a lot to talk about.”
The thumb at his lip dips, goes inside his mouth, briefly makes contact with Steve’s tongue. He wants to suck on it, wants to do a whole lot more.
“We definitely do.”
Eddie’s hand falls away. He picks up a few bags and lets Steve take the others.
And as Steve follows Eddie Munson, his mystery guy, inside it hits him all at once. A punch to the solar plexus.
Just knew you’d be so good for me. Could tell the first day I ever saw you.
He knows him.
You showed LA who’s king.
Not just from the shoot.
“Oh my God, I know you! We know each other!”
Eddie Munson, the guy who walked over lunch tables and caused a scene. The guy Tommy shoved into lockers. The guy who dealt at every party. The guy who wore denim and leather and was in a band. The guy Steve watched, who watched him right back.
Wanted you forever.
I was actually jealous, and look at us now.
Can’t believe how lucky I am.
I’ll remember this forever, sweetheart.
And Steve hurries in after him as Eddie’s knowing, familiar laughter leads the way.

Brake Repair Services in Milwaukee: What to Expect and Why It Matters
Ever felt that slight squeal when you press the brakes or noticed a softening pedal? If so, it might be time to think auto repair shop near me open now! In a bustling city like Milwaukee, where weather and road conditions can put extra stress on your brakes, keeping them in top shape is essential. Proper brake maintenance isn’t just about the car; it’s about safety, confidence, and peace of mind. This guide will help you understand what to expect from brake repair services in Milwaukee and why regular brake care is so important.
Understanding Brake Repair
Brakes are a critical part of your vehicle’s safety system, and understanding what goes into brake repair can help you keep them functioning at their best. Brake repair typically involves more than just fixing worn parts—it’s about a complete inspection, troubleshooting, and replacement if necessary.
Here’s a closer look at some common brake issues:
Squeaking or Grinding Noises: If you hear a high-pitched squeal, your brake pads might be worn out. Grinding noises usually mean it’s time to replace them immediately.
Vibrations When Braking: This often indicates warped rotors, which can make stopping less smooth and effective.
Soft or Spongy Brake Pedal: When the brake pedal feels soft, it could be due to a fluid leak or air in the brake lines.
Warning Light on the Dashboard: Many modern cars have brake sensors that trigger a warning light if something is off.
These signs shouldn’t be ignored, as addressing them early can save you from bigger, costlier problems down the road.
Why Regular Brake Maintenance Matters
Maintaining your brakes isn’t just for emergencies; it’s about keeping your car ready for anything the road throws at you. Here are some reasons why regular brake maintenance is essential:
Safety First: The primary function of brakes is to ensure safety. Properly maintained brakes reduce the risk of accidents and give you greater control over your vehicle.
Saves Money Over Time: Regular maintenance helps catch issues before they become major, saving you from costly repairs.
Better Driving Performance: Good brakes mean smoother stops and starts, which contributes to a better driving experience overall.
Longevity of Brake Components: By servicing your brakes regularly, you’ll extend the life of brake pads, rotors, and other critical components, maximizing the value of your investment.
Think of it this way: regular brake maintenance is like exercise for your car. It keeps everything strong, agile, and reliable.
What to Expect from a Professional Brake Repair Service
So, what actually happens when you take your car in for a brake service? Professional brake repair services go beyond the basics, offering a comprehensive approach to ensuring your brakes are in peak condition.
Here’s what a typical brake repair service might include:
Initial Inspection and Diagnostics: The technician will check for any visible damage or wear on the brake pads, rotors, and callipers. They’ll also check for any leaks or unusual noises.
Brake Pad Replacement: If your brake pads are too worn, they’ll be replaced. Pads are designed to take on most of the friction, so keeping them in good shape is essential.
Rotor Resurfacing or Replacement: Rotors can wear down or warp over time, especially under Milwaukee’s varying climate conditions. Resurfacing or replacing them helps ensure smooth braking.
Brake Fluid Check and Replacement: Low or old brake fluid can impact braking efficiency. Professionals check the fluid levels and may flush and replace the fluid if it’s contaminated.
Test Drive: After repairs, a test drive helps confirm that everything is working as it should, and it’s a final check for any missed issues.
Taking your vehicle to a reputable service centre ensures you’re getting these critical checks and repairs, allowing you to drive away with confidence.
How to Choose the Right Brake Repair Service in Milwaukee
With so many auto shops around, how do you know which one to trust with your brakes? Here are some tips to help you choose a reliable brake repair service in Milwaukee:
Look for Certified Technicians: ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) certification is a good indicator that the mechanics have the expertise to handle your car’s brakes.
Read Reviews and Ask for Recommendations: Checking online reviews or asking friends and family for recommendations can give you insights into a shop’s reliability and customer service.
Ask About Warranty on Repairs: Some shops offer a warranty on brake repairs, giving you peace of mind about the work done.
Check the Shop’s Specializations: Some shops specialize in certain types of vehicles or brake systems, so make sure they’re experienced with your car type.
Get a Detailed Estimate: A reputable shop will provide a clear, written estimate so you understand what’s involved and how much it will cost.
Choosing the right service is like finding the right doctor for your car—it ensures you get expert care without unnecessary costs.
Conclusion
Brake repair might not always be at the top of your car maintenance list, but it’s one of the most important services you can invest in. Regular brake checks and repairs keep you, your passengers, and everyone on the road safer. Whether it’s a simple brake pad replacement or a more comprehensive service, paying attention to your brakes will save you stress, time, and money.
So, the next time you hear that tell-tale squeal or feel the brake pedal softening, don’t wait. Seek out a reliable brake repair service in Milwaukee, and keep your vehicle road-ready and safe. After all, peace of mind on the road is priceless.

In With the Old, Part 8
We tested her hold over me over the following weeks, while she finishing her writing. It wasn't constant, but I could feel when she was willing something from me. Sometimes she made a suggestion or said something that she would like, and there was no sense of command or control to it, and I knew she was not saying it with authority or expectation. But sometimes, whether she said it or not, I knew the command, and I knew whether it was something I could amend or ignore, or something that would bring punishment if not fulfilled. The punishment was always the collar–sometimes just the tightening, sometimes it burned or stabbed or shocked.
Once, she laid me on the bed, positioned my arms and legs, and ordered me to stay. Then she left. After a while, I grew nervous; but when I tried to move to check on her, it felt like my neck and wrists and ankles were chained to the bed, with only an inch or two of slack. She returned with an assortment of implements and, after hearing my experience of being unable to move until she granted me movement, she tortured and teased me for hours without granting me even another inch of slack.
I took on dozens of forms as she tested my shapeshifting and her control of it. I was man or woman or a combination thereof, I was animal or object. She wore me as a pair of shoes into town for the day, she used me as a chair when she went to see a parade and a vibrator when she got home, she displayed me as a five-inch-long mermaid in a fish bowl, introduced me as her prize breeding bitch at the dog park and her suitor at the theatre. She asked if it was possible for me to be a tattoo, and I spent the next four days staring from the inside of her left thigh through the painted eyes of a dragon. But not Bryce. I was never changed into that form.
We both thoroughly enjoyed every new experience, and would excitedly debrief about what we liked and what we didn't after each one. We were learning more about what this would, and would not, look like for us going forward.
Then she asked if I could enchant other people. I suspected I could, but had never tried. First, something easy and safe: she had me change her hair color, then its length. Her nails. Her height. I gave her a dick at her request, and she voraciously fucked me with it for days, even wordlessly taking me from behind while I was trying to do the dishes. My first experience of having a real dick inside me was mind-blowing, and the first time she put it in my mouth, I realized I enjoyed servicing it. We spent one night running through the woods as foxes, mating under an oak.
None of the changes she underwent were permanent. They probably could have been, but she didn't want that. She just wanted to know what it was like, and how easy it was for me, and whether or not there were limits there that I didn't have for myself. She didn't try anything inanimate, out of fear of what could happen. I noticed that it was more effort to change her than it was to change me, but nothing so difficult it would require me to stop. She took note as I explained it to her.
As the date of her return to the States drew near, she warned me that her plan to get her husband on board meant waiting about a month to pitch it to him, during which time I have to be in a single, unchanging form that wouldn't stand out to him as unusual. I agreed, and soon I was a necklace, hanging low from her neck as she passed through airport security on her way home.

Understanding Snoring and Sleep Apnea: Solutions from 4 Seasons Dental
Sleep is essential for overall health, yet millions of people suffer from sleep disturbances due to snoring and sleep apnea. These issues can not only disrupt your sleep but also impact your quality of life and health. At 4 Seasons Dental, we understand the complexities of these conditions and offer tailored solutions to help you sleep soundly. In this article, we'll explore snoring, sleep apnea, and the services we provide, including sleep apnea home testing in Milton Freewater and effective Snoring Treatment near me.
What is Snoring?
Snoring is the sound produced when air flows past relaxed tissues in the throat, causing them to vibrate during sleep. This often occurs when the airway is partially obstructed. While snoring can be a minor annoyance for some, it can lead to more serious health issues if left untreated.
Common Causes of Snoring
Obesity: Excess weight can lead to fatty tissue in the neck, narrowing the airway.
Sleep Position: Sleeping on your back can cause the tongue to fall backward into the throat, obstructing airflow.
Nasal Problems: Congestion from allergies or a deviated septum can restrict airflow.
Alcohol and Sedatives: These substances relax throat muscles, increasing the likelihood of snoring.
Age: As people age, throat muscles become weaker, making snoring more common.
The Impact of Snoring
Snoring can affect not only the individual but also their partner. It can lead to disrupted sleep patterns, irritability, and a lack of concentration during the day. If snoring is persistent, it may indicate a more severe condition, such as sleep apnea.
What is Sleep Apnea?
Sleep apnea is a serious sleep disorder characterized by repeated interruptions in breathing during sleep. The most common type is obstructive sleep apnea (OSA), which occurs when the throat muscles relax excessively during sleep, blocking the airway.
Symptoms of Sleep Apnea
Loud Snoring: While not everyone who snores has sleep apnea, loud and chronic snoring is a common symptom.
Gasping or Choking During Sleep: Individuals may wake up suddenly, feeling short of breath.
Daytime Fatigue: Due to disrupted sleep, individuals may feel excessively tired during the day.
Morning Headaches: Frequent headaches upon waking can indicate poor oxygenation during sleep.
Irritability and Mood Changes: Sleep deprivation can lead to increased irritability and mood swings.
Risks Associated with Sleep Apnea
Sleep apnea can increase the risk of several serious health problems, including:
Cardiovascular Issues: High blood pressure, heart disease, and stroke risk can increase due to disrupted sleep.
Type 2 Diabetes: Poor sleep can affect insulin sensitivity.
Weight Gain: Hormonal changes due to sleep deprivation can lead to weight gain.
Decreased Quality of Life: Chronic fatigue can impair cognitive function and overall well-being.
The Importance of Diagnosis and Treatment
If you suspect that you or a loved one may have sleep apnea, it's essential to seek a professional evaluation. At 4 Seasons Dental, we offer comprehensive assessments to diagnose snoring and sleep apnea effectively. Our team will work with you to develop a personalized treatment plan that addresses your specific needs.
Sleep Apnea Home Testing in Milton Freewater
One of the most convenient options for diagnosing sleep apnea is through home testing. Sleep apnea home testing Milton Freewater provides a comfortable and effective way to monitor your sleep patterns and breathing.
How Does Home Testing Work?
Initial Consultation: During your visit to 4 Seasons Dental, our dental professionals will discuss your symptoms and medical history.
Home Testing Kit: If sleep apnea is suspected, we will provide you with a home testing kit. This kit typically includes a portable device that monitors your breathing, oxygen levels, and heart rate while you sleep.
Data Analysis: Once you complete the test, you'll return the device to us. We will analyze the data to determine if you have sleep apnea.
Follow-up Consultation: Based on the results, we will schedule a follow-up appointment to discuss your diagnosis and treatment options.
Effective Snoring Treatment Near You
At 4 Seasons Dental, we offer various treatment options for snoring and sleep apnea. Here are some of the most effective approaches:
1. Oral Appliances
Oral appliances are custom-made devices designed to reposition the jaw and tongue during sleep, keeping the airway open. These are often an effective solution for mild to moderate sleep apnea and snoring. Our dental professionals will take impressions of your mouth to create a comfortable and effective appliance.
2. Lifestyle Changes
Sometimes, simple lifestyle changes can significantly reduce snoring and sleep apnea symptoms:
Weight Management: Losing excess weight can alleviate pressure on the airway.
Sleep Position: Encouraging side sleeping can prevent the tongue from blocking the throat.
Avoiding Alcohol and Sedatives: Limiting these substances can reduce muscle relaxation during sleep.
3. Continuous Positive Airway Pressure (CPAP)
For those with moderate to severe sleep apnea, a CPAP machine may be recommended. This device delivers a continuous stream of air through a mask, keeping the airway open during sleep.
4. Surgical Options
In some cases, surgery may be necessary to remove excess tissue or correct structural issues in the airway. Our team will discuss all available options with you to determine the best course of action.
Why Choose 4 Seasons Dental for Sleep Apnea and Snoring Treatment?
Choosing the right dental practice for your sleep issues is crucial. Here are a few reasons why 4 Seasons Dental is the right choice for you:

6 Smart Tips for Inspecting Used Cars for Sale Before Making a Purchase
Are you in the market for a used car? Buying a pre-owned vehicle can be a fantastic way to save money while still getting a reliable set of wheels. However, it's essential to inspect a used car thoroughly before making a purchase to avoid any potential headaches down the road.
Here are six smart tips to help you navigate the used car market and make an informed decision.
1. Research, Research, Research!
Before you even set foot on a car lot or browse the best used cars for sale near me, do your homework. Research the make and model of the used car you're interested in. Look into common issues, reliability ratings, and typical pricing in your area.
Websites can provide valuable insights into the used cars for sale market.
2. Check the Vehicle History Report
One of the most critical steps when buying a used car is examining its vehicle history report. Services can provide you with detailed information about the used car's past, including accidents, maintenance records, and title status.
A clean history report is a good indication that the used car has been well-maintained and hasn't suffered any significant damage.
3. Inspect the Exterior and Interior
When inspecting a used car, be sure to thoroughly examine both the exterior and interior. Look for any signs of damage, rust, or mismatched paint on the exterior.
Inside, check for unusual odours, excessive wear and tear on the upholstery, and any malfunctioning features such as lights, windows, or the stereo system.
4. Take It for a Test Drive
Never underestimate the importance of a test drive when shopping for used cars for sale. Take the used car out on a variety of roads to get a feel for how it handles different conditions.
Pay attention to any strange noises, vibrations, or warning lights that may indicate underlying issues. Additionally, test the brakes, steering, and acceleration to ensure they're in good working order.
5. Have a Mechanic Inspect It

When is Gear Box Repair an Option Near Me?
Do you think there may be a problem with the gearbox? Is it making funny noises or acting sluggishly compared to before? If that's the case, maybe it's time to get the gearbox fixed. When, though, will gearbox repair be available in your area? We'll explain how to identify trustworthy local suppliers of industrial gearboxes and walk you through each stage of the gearbox repairs near me process. Now fasten your seatbelts as we enter the exciting world of gear ratios!
Breaking Down The Some Step Gearbox Repair Process
When broken down into reasonable chunks, repairing a gearbox is a far more doable undertaking. The gearbox must first be inspected and tested. The gearbox needs to be inspected carefully for any signs of wear or damage. Gear wear, bearing quality, and oil pollution will all be evaluated by a qualified technician.
The fixing process can start after the examination is over. Repairs can include anything from replacing old seals and gaskets to installing new gears and bearings if they're found to be worn.
But the work isn't done yet! Testing and quality control come after reassembly. To guarantee the restored gearbox continues to function properly and upholds performance standards, it is subjected to extensive testing.
Keep in mind that the steps outlined here are just a rough outline and that the specifics of any given gearbox repair work will rely on variables like the specific machinery at play and the degree of damage. If you want an honest evaluation that's targeted to your needs, it's better to talk to experts in gearbox repair.
Gearbox Inspection and Evaluation
The first and most important step in fixing a gearbox is to inspect and evaluate it carefully. This method aids in the detection of problems and damages, allowing for a more precise estimate of necessary repairs.
Expert specialists inspect the gearbox thoroughly to ensure its flawless operation. Leaks, cracks, and jangling mechanisms are all red flags for them. They also listen for and feel for any strange vibrations or noises coming from the gearbox as it turns.
The information gathered during the inspection phase is then used in the evaluation phase, where the level of damage and the required repairs are established. To check the quality of the gear teeth and determine the tolerances, technicians use precision measuring instruments.
Note that a thorough diagnosis necessitates knowledge of gearbox systems and how they operate. This is why it's crucial to use experts who have worked with different kinds of gearboxes.
After thorough testing and examination, technicians give their findings in written form. These reports provide a road plan for efficiently fixing or replacing broken parts.
You may save time and effort in the long run by doing a thorough inspection and evaluation of the gearbox before attempting any repairs. This method reduces downtime and increases productivity during any type of renovation, no matter how big or small.
Beyond Services for Gearbox Repair
Gearbox repair is an important service, but there are others that can help your machinery last longer and run better. While fixing the gearbox is obviously important, these additional services can often be of greater benefit.
Preventative maintenance is an example of such a service. You may head off big gearbox problems by keeping on top of routine inspections and maintenance. This preventative maintenance method guarantees peak performance while also reducing the need for expensive repairs.
Gear tuning is another helpful service. Modifying or adjusting the gears within the gearbox can sometimes drastically increase productivity while also decreasing wear and tear. Changes to the gear tooth profile, surface treatments, and even material upgrades are all methods for improving gear performance.
Some suppliers also offer retrofitting services alongside routine upkeep and equipment enhancement. The goal here is to upgrade from older, inefficient parts to newer, modern ones that are better suited to your unique application. Your gearbox's lifespan and performance can both benefit from retrofitting.
Gearbox repair shops often have 24-hour emergency services available. It's crucial to have access to knowledgeable experts who can rapidly diagnose and remedy problems as they arise.
To get the most out of your gearbox repair Texas service and guarantee the long-term success of your industrial machinery, think about these additional services while searching for a provider near you.

10 Mistakes To Avoid When Installing A Plumbing System
Are you searching for "emergency plumber near me" on the internet to help with your plumbing issues like fixing your hot water system? Installing a new plumbing system can be time-consuming and complicated. It’s important to take your time and not rush the process, otherwise, you may inadvertently make mistakes that have expensive consequences.
In this day and age, almost everyone knows at least something about plumbing services, maintenance and DIY’er tasks around the house. However, when it comes to the installation of an entire home plumbing system it takes much more skill and professionalism. There are many things that can go wrong if you try breezing through it yourself without taking the necessary steps or hiring a professional local plumber.
In this article, we will take you through 10 common plumbing mistakes that people make when installing a plumbing system which should help you avoid making costly blunders.
1. Skipping the knowledge of building codes
Failing to stay up-to-date with local building codes is one of the most common errors people make when installing their own plumbing system. Many states require professional licenses to install a residential or commercial plumbing solution so review the rules and regulations in your area prior to taking on any project.
2. Ignoring proper drainage design and drain cleaners
An improper drainage design can cause backup problems, blocked drains, overflowing toilets and fixtures, and low water pressure in other areas throughout your building, resulting in extensive repairs down the road. Make sure to allow for proper slope for good drainage whenever adding new pipes and fittings or extension piping for an existing structure or remodelling job.
3. Not double-checking connections
When dealing with gas lines, one small mistake can have catastrophic consequences which is why double-checking connections is so important. Be sure to check all joints prior to testing any gas line and test each individual portion of the pipe separately instead of testing them all at once as this will highlight any potential weak connections that may need adjustment before you expose yourself and others to the risk of harm due to poor piping practices.
4. Choosing the wrong size pipe
Choosing a pipe size too small won’t provide enough flow for consistent functionality and choosing a pipe size too large wastes spare parts material as well as money since larger pipes require more materials costs plus labour charges depending on who’s doing the plumbing job installation. Always take into account your desired flow rates when sizing these copper pipes accordingly ahead of time instead of waiting until after installation has been completed
5. Neglecting water hammer arrester installation
If not installed properly, sudden pressure surges caused by valve shutoff or high-velocity water supply flow can cause intense vibrations (water hammer) throughout your entire piping network – leading to leaks unless you install an arrester along with pressure-reducing valves wherever necessary across the entire system prior to running any tests
6. Forgetting clean-outs and shutoffs
Many local codes may also require cleanouts buried below ground level at certain intervals across all branch lines within your building’s plumbing system so be aware of these requirements prior to starting work on any project if applicable in your given situation Plumbing shut-offs or turning off the water valves should also be clearly labelled (ease in maintenance) either above sink/shower units or visible nearby wall surfaces wherever water flows within these respective locations throughout the house/building
7. Overlooking venting requirements
Venting must be done properly as outlined under local city code specifications otherwise unpleasant odour symptoms may occur from improper fresh air circulation within any sewage line system.
This generally occurs whenever the vertical distance between the sewer line and the outdoor vent exceeds six feet outward for appropriate ventilation unless special circumstances exist such as running drain pipes beneath floors slab foundation systems then additional consideration must be made
8. Failing to use pipe joint compounds on threaded connections
When assembling threaded fittings together always use approved pipe joint compound upon threads (Teflon tape) otherwise gas/plastic tubes might come apart later due to corrosion buildup over extended periods of exposure.
This holds especially true when dealing with plastic-based PVC/ABS fittings where pieces sometimes do not fit snugly together. Few things are more frustrating than experiencing a leak eventually because insufficient lube compounds used during the initial work procedure
9. Ignoring water pressure ratings
Each pipe has its own pressure rating which must be taken into account when designing a plumbing system. Don’t assume that all pipes or pipe wrenches will hold the same amount of pressure as this is not always the case and could lead to serious plumbing problems down the line if not properly accounted for ahead of time
10. Not testing for leaks
Last but not least, it is always wise to test the entire system prior to finalizing work. Make sure to check each joint connection separately using a garden hose water pressure gauge or even better if possible use professional-grade equipment such as a hydrostatic testing device This way can make sure there are no hidden leaks present before finalizing the project. Hiring a professional and fully licensed plumber near you is highly recommended if you want a safe and secured plumbing system. If you’re having a hard time looking for the nearest plumber in your area, you can try searching for “plumber near me” on the internet to help you out.

I'm gonna use just "Cats are the best" since for the test I will be given a statement to write an opinion essay about based on my personal experience. So here it is: "Cat-Fight" an essay by me
There are few debates as long-standing and thoroughly argued as whether cats or dogs make better companions. Dogs are loyal, but cats are self-sufficient. Dogs are protective, but cats are comforting. The two most common pets in the world both have their vices and virtues—they would have to, to achieve that esteemed title—but is one truly better than the other?
Many dog lovers argue that cats are less affectionate, that dogs somehow love their masters more than cats do. It’s true that when faced with a home invader, a cat is more likely to run and hide than to fight to protect its home as many dogs will. That said, when was the last time you saw a house cat big enough to knock a home invader down? Does knowing their own size necessarily mean they don’t love you enough to protect you?
I read an article many years ago from a scientific journal I no longer remember that has stuck with me ever since. It described a study investigating the reason why cats purr, and the purposes that purring serves. The researchers observed that, in addition to purring when they’re content, cats will also seek out those who are sick and injured, sit near or on them, and purr. At first, the researchers were uncertain of the reason for this, but upon further study, they discovered that the vibrations of purring actually had a positive impact on the healing process of those affected.
A dog will protect you. A cat will comfort you.
On the other hand, there are many such similar stories about dogs lying beside their sick masters to give them comfort, acting as a pillow or a blanket and staying with their people during panic attacks and times of stress. In the same vein, cats will hiss and scratch at anyone they deem a threat who gets too close to the people they deem theirs.
A cat will protect you. A dog will comfort you.
Of course, those aren’t the only virtues one must take into account when weighing the two species against each other. Service dogs, for example, add a whole new layer to the debate. After all, a cat can’t be trained to sense heart problems or low blood sugar. They’re too small to open most doors or press crosswalk buttons—to say nothing of the fact that the vast majority of cats will go off on their own the moment they step outside, rather than staying near their master to assist them.
Furthermore, outdoor and indoor/outdoor cats pose a danger to local wildlife, hunting birds and small rodents that are essential to the natural order even though the felines have a guaranteed meal at home and don’t need them for food. They also face many dangers both from the elements and from man-made dangers like cars and pollution which reduces their life-span; outdoor cats live an average of ten to twelve years compared to twelve to fifteen years for indoor cats.
Does all this mean that dogs are the better pet?
Well… no.
I, for example, have no need for a service dog. I’ve owned cats throughout most of my life and have always kept them indoors—barring a few great escapes that I failed to stop, but they always returned home. Cats, on the whole, tend to be quieter than dogs, meowing only when they need something rather than every time a car passes by the window. The texture of their fur is typically softer than a dog’s as well, and they can be lighter even than the smallest dogs, which is a great boon to those who want to hold their beloved pet but don’t possess much upper-body strength.
At the end of the day, it is not about cats versus dogs. It is about the people who care for them. Humans are incredibly varied in personality and personal needs, and as such, no animal is universally a better companion for humanity than any other. Some people don’t care for either cats or dogs; they keep pets such as snakes, birds, rabbits, or any number of other animals—or no pets at all.
Are cats the best?
The simple answer is: it depends on who you are.
I gotta write some timed practice essays tomorrow so if a couple of you could reblog this with a statement that I can write a quick opinion essay about in 30 minutes that would be very helpful!
#If anyone else has a statement for me I want to write at least three of these#essay#cats#dogs#things i wrote#i feel like i relied to much on past reading and didn’t mix in as much personal experience and observation like i’m supposed to#it’s technically good as far as the language and writing goes#but its not as personal as i think it should be#it’s got that one paragraph near the end#i think that the time limit just makes me avoid adding any actual personal anecdotes because i want to avoid making it too long

Hannibal x Reader
Masterpost
First Chapter
Warnings: 18+ Oral M receiving, daddy kink, someone walks in
Word count: 5.7k
Chapter Two
The light streaming in through the window woke you up. You curled up in the soft silk sheets, listening to Hannibal’s hums coming from the bathroom. Deciding there wasn’t much more to do than doze, you did just that, taking your time to enjoy your Monday morning. His bed was much softer than the hand me down one you kept at home. You really could lay here forever.
It wasn’t until the bed dipped that you opened your eyes. He was all ready dressed and groomed to the nines. The navy sweater and grey trousers seemed as homey as the man allowed himself to be.
“Hello, handsome,” you greeted.
“Good morning, darling.” Hannibal cupped your face gently, smiling when you leaned into his touch. “It’s marvelous to see you so relaxed, it’s not a sight I get to see often. You’re divine.”
“Devine,” you scoffed in disbelief, “I haven’t had a glimpse of it yet, but I’m sure I look nothing less than a wreck.”
Hannibal’s thumb stroked your jaw, a mischievous smirk playing on his lips. “When it’s my fault you look so utterly debauched, I can’t lie and say my pride doesn’t play a factor.”
“There it is,” you couldn’t help rolling your eyes as you dropped a kiss to his hand, “Always taking pride in everything you do. However, much to your dismay, I’m going to have to destroy your masterpiece. A shower does sound perfect right now.”
“Of course, I took the liberty of running a bath for you.”
“Sweet man,” you smiled fondly at him.
Bringing you closer he pressed a gentle kiss to your lips. As always, he left you wanting more. This time though, you didn’t chase after him. The night of fun was done. All that was left was the goodbye to wrap up the event completely. Some part of you wanted to push that time back.
You hummed lightly, “You enjoy making it hard to not miss you.”
“All the sweeter when we reunite.”
“Sure, whatever you say.”
He tapped your cheek playfully, “Take your bath. I’ll have breakfast ready by the time you’re done.”
Getting out of bed, you stretched. Hannibal’s fingertips ghosted along your spine. “From the looks of it, you’d be happier to help.”
“Simply admiring… You truly are a thing of beauty.” he squeezed your hip before taking his hands away, “I’ll leave some of my things for you to wear on the bed.”
Walking into the bathroom, you were taken by the soft scent of nearly familiar perfumes you’d wear, his cologne lingered ever so slightly. A perfect mix of the two. Looking in the mirror, you surveyed the wreckage. Runny mascara, smudged over lipstick, and rather large hickies scattered across your body did make you look like the definition of debauched. The neck didn’t have as much damage, but covering the few there would still be a pain. So much for keeping things hidden from others. Grabbing the pack of makeup wipes on the counter, you started cleaning up knowing you’d find it to be too much of a chore after the bath.
It was welcoming when you finally got into the still warm bath. Hot water made you relax further as your body let go of the last bit of tension it held. The products seemed to match the ones you usually used, if not make yours seem like cheap dupes. Your lip quirked at that realization, the gentleman seemed to have had ulterior motives after all.
You took your time washing up, deciding time to relax was sparse so you may as well take advantage of the small time frame you did have. A soft knock at the door pulled you back to the present. “Afraid I drowned?” You asked teasingly as the door opened.
Hannibal offered a quiet chuckle as he walked over and perched on the side of the tub, “Asleep more like.”
You didn’t bother hiding yourself. He’d probably be able to draw you from memory by now if you were being honest. “I do have a question.”
“What is it, darling?”
You gestured to the soaps, “Did you have any plans in particular for our night?”
“Not exactly. The night ended perfectly- you wouldn’t mind me saying-” Hannibal tapped your chin affectionately when you smiled, “but there wasn’t anything other than pure intentions when I purchased them. The scent reminded me of you and I thought if you drank too much or there was a storm, those kinds of things, it would be good to have something for you to use. Sending you out into possible dangers was never something left to chance. You’d be safer with me.”
“Ever the good host,” you said, taking his word for it, “Thank you for thinking of me, Hannibal.”
“Always.” Hannibal rolled up his sleeves, moving to sit behind you. “Lean back for me.”
You turned to look at him questioningly, “What are you doing?”
“I find it very important to take care of my partners just as much after. You didn’t give me much of a chance last night. While I’m here, I may as well make myself useful.”
Allowing him to turn you forward again before he grabbed the shampoo and conditioner. You sighed heavily as he massaged the shampoo in, his fingers working magic. “You took care of me,” you argued, “Asked me what I wanted and gave it to me. I didn’t want anything else.”
“It’s just as much for me as it is for you,” he stated, running some water through your hair, “I like to make sure nothing was too much or that you’re not telling me if it was.”
“I’m as good as I’ve been in a long time. Really. If I hadn’t wanted something to happen I would have stopped you. Though, if I had known things would have ended like this I would have stopped by when we had more time. Testing before winter break would have been all that much easier.”
“I’m sorry, I couldn’t be of service earlier,” he mused. “A difficult time that must have been for my sweet girl. Poor thing.”
The urge to sink into the water was strong as you felt the smallest bit of pride at the endearment paired with an equally small bout of jealousy that you shared it with his other partners. It was snuffed out quickly. Perhaps you’d entertain this for a while, but it wouldn’t last. He liked a life that was above and usually too stiff compared to your own. The pair of you weren’t meant to work long term and that was fine. A simple passing thing between friends was the most this would be.
-
Things went back to business as usual after that night. There weren't any intense feelings or need for Hannibal. There wouldn’t be any time to entertain the idea even if they had popped up. Not with this insane work piled on top of you and the final test you needed to study up on. The most you had seen him was in passing or when he’d drop off a meal every so often. Though you wouldn’t lie and say your mind hadn’t found itself wandering every so often.
There was nothing you could do about that, so instead you took shifts, grading work then studying. Rinse and repeating the cycle as long as you could handle it. Your head was pounding before you knew it, but all of this needed to be done. A little bit longer, you reminded yourself as you took a couple headache pills.
The buzzing of your phone vibrating on the desk startled you. “Hi, dad,” you sighed, stuck with this particular pain.
“Hey, pretty girl, how have you been?”
Pretty girl, you scoffed inwardly. You had to give him credit- at least he was pretending to be interested this time. That was rare. “Nothing much. Work. School. The usual. It’s been heavy lately.”
“Yeah, of course, things get like that. So listen, your mom and I are running real low late-“
“I already told you I wasn’t any good for money. I’m barely making ends meet as it is… I already sent you the last $600 I could,” you rested your head in your hands, “I’m sorry.”
“Well, what the fuck do we send you to that school for,” he shouted, “It’s a waste of time. You’re not gonna make anything of yourself. All you do is waste fucking time. Everything we do for you and you just take it all for granted. What type of selfish bitch of a kid doesn’t try to help out her parents?”
“Yeah, dad, I take everything for granted. Putting myself through school should have been a breeze. Juggling school and two jobs? Simple fucking shit right? You should know, right? Wait… you couldn’t even raise your kid could you?” You snapped the stress getting to you. “Why the hell do you always do this to me?”
No response. He hung up. The truth of the matter seemingly too much for him. No. That was too much credit. He knew you wouldn’t send him anything. Try again some other time. Sighing you set the phone down. Your throat felt like it was closing and your head was pounding. A couple tears fell, soon followed by a quiet sob. You didn’t want anyone to see, but the stress was getting to you. Try as you might, you weren’t made of stone.
You hadn’t noticed when Hannibal had walked in for a usual evening check up. “Darling girl,” his accented voice was laced with worry as he walked toward you, “What’s wrong?” Hannibal crouched near your chair as he wiped away your tears.
“Everything went to my head. It’s nothing. I’m okay,” you swallowed thickly, as you attempted to stop the crying and sniffling, not meeting his eye just yet.
Hannibal grabbed your chin gently, forcing you to look at him. “Nothing more?”
“Nope,” you shook your head, giving him a slight smile, “Just school and a headache. Thank you for checking on me. I appreciate it.”
He looked you over, not believing you but unwilling in prodding you further. “It seems a break is in order.”
“I can’t, Hannibal,” You gestured to the papers and books around the desk, “The sooner I’m done with all this the better. I just want to go home.”
Hannibal started to pick up your things, he wouldn’t take ‘no’ for an answer this time. “We’ll go to my office, you’ll eat, I’ll grade the work and ask you questions. Follow me.” Before you can get a word in, he turned heel, leaving you to quickly scramble behind him.
The office had the same comforting feel his home did. Though you weren’t sure many besides you felt comfort in his presence. Hannibal Lecter was by all means an intimidating man, even when you did feel like you were close to him. Closer now, you corrected thinking about the fading bruises under your shirt and the sweater he had let you borrow that you had yet to return. Still there was something about his presence that invoked a feeling of calm in you, even with that spike of something questionable. He seemed to always have all the answers and knew exactly what to do with any situation.
“Here,” Hannibal placed a Tupperware and drink on your side of the desk, “You really shouldn’t be spreading yourself so thin, love. It isn’t good for such a delicate thing.”
“I’m hardly delicate.” You grabbed the food giving him a grateful smile. “I’ve got it all handled. It’s just finals and everything stacked up. The future. I stumbled a bit, is all.”
Hannibal sat on his side and started shuffling through your papers. “Nonetheless, I wish you didn’t strain yourself so much.”
“Not all our days can be a nice weekend together,” you pecked at the salad, as much as you wanted to grab some papers off the stack you knew he would never allow it, “Life is still as frustrating as ever.”
“What did they say?” Hannibal asked, nipping the problem at the bud. If you wouldn’t start the conversation he would.
You sighed, “Something along the lines of ‘waste of time’ and ‘selfish bitch’ really wasn't the worst thing he's ever said. I was just already at my endpoint. I’m pretty sure if I dropped my pen I would have had a similar reaction.”
“Being at your end doesn’t justify mistreatment.”
“I know,” you shrugged, “but I don’t have it in me to argue anymore. Deaf ears and all that. What’s the point?”
“The point is making it known that you won’t tolerate that behavior.”
“I’m just tired and disappointed. A part of me is considering just going into the world on my own. The only family that really cares has passed on, what’s the point of hoping my parents would ever consider changing.” You coughed lightly, clearing your throat. This was too much of a therapy session for your taste. “I’ve already made it up in my head that I’m going to wait a year before getting back in school. You know, save any penny I can. These past four years even with aid and scholarship money has been hell. I’m going to be 24 and there’s still just so much to do.”
“I can’t say I envy you,” Hannibal shook his head, “The uncertainty in those years is unmatched.”
“It’s hard to imagine you uncertain of anything. You seem to always know exactly what to do.”
Hannibal scoffed lightly, “Only because time has granted me certain wisdoms. When I was younger I was lucky enough to appeal to someone with my artistic talent and stories of my past. Though I’d like to think it was the former that earned me my scholarship. I may not have had the exact struggles you did, but we’ve all been through situations we needed to push past. It comes in time. Once you get there, you’ll go through life with grace.”
“Well, I don’t have any reservations about using my past. Would you be my mentor?” You joked, for the most part.
“A five year forward request,” he mused, “Are you certain you’d enjoy me that much as a mentor?”
“Someone is gonna have to teach me the ropes,” you shrugged, “We’re more than comfortable with each other and I already know how pleasurable time with you can be, why not learn a couple of things from your infinite wisdom?”
His lip quirked, “Glad to know your thoughts are nothing less than wholesome.”
“Only the purest.”
You ate your dinner as he asked questions. It was a bit unfair, probably, you knew he had helped form the test. Then again, you knew your boss and it was more than likely all of Hannibal’s work. So this little run was sure to be a preview of what to expect. Still, the questions he asked were far from simple, despite how much you studied. Sometimes a raised brow would tell you, you needed to think again. Other times you’d get a soft praise thrown your way that would immediately make you think of when he was against you.
“A few more for me, darling girl. You’re doing so well.”
Your face heated up as you remembered the exact moment he said something nearly identical.
Hannibal looked at you over a paper, a smirk playing on his lips, “You’re looking a bit distracted, are you alright?”
“You know what you did, jerk.”
“Do I?” He laughed.
You shook your head, “You’re unbelievable.”
Hannibal continued grading, rattling off questions off the top of his head. You mind however, wandered. Answering his questions absentmindedly, more preoccupied with memories than the matter at hand. The way his hands felt. His breath against your chest as he chased his high. The gentleness the morning after as he helped you into his clothes, giving you a last kiss before breakfast. A lingering regret at not getting to thank him back properly. He would be the perfect distraction now that you thought of it.
“I won’t help you if you prefer to daydream.”
“I wouldn’t be daydreaming if you didn’t decide to help me in the first place.”
“Touché.”
“Think I’m all done studying. I’m tired of it,” you sighed, stretching, “I want to do something else.”
Hannibal looked at you, brow raised. “What’s that sweet girl?”
You shook off some nerves. As much as the two of you had already done, he was still an intimidating man. His eyes followed as you stood and walked around the desk. Hannibal brought your hand up to his lips. You trailed it along his jaw, feeling the rough stubble that just started coming in, buying yourself some time to steady yourself. A raised brow questioned what you’d do next, but otherwise he leaned into your touch.
“I wanted to thank you for everything. For how good you are to me.”
“I don’t expect anything in return,” he assured.
“Yeah, I know,” you sunk to your knees in front of him, tracing your fingertips up and down his thigh slowly, looking up at him, “but I want to take care of you too.”
He toyed with a strand of your hair, looking almost bored as he leaned back in his chair. “That isn’t necessary, little one, I enjoyed watching you.” Still there was a glint of something in his eye that told you he was interested, merely teasing with the show he just wanted something more from you.
You bit your lip, pondering at what he had deemed missing. The title. A thing that had slipped past your lips embarrassingly but one he had used with stupor throughout the night. Hands settling on his knees, you pushed them apart so you could settle there more comfortably. A pout, “Please, daddy, I’ve wanted to since we met.”
“Always an eager plaything,” he sighed checking the clock on the wall, “I suppose daddy can make some time for his girl.”
That was enough for you to start undoing his belt. Despite the bored act, his half hard cock betrayed him and told you exactly how much he had been interested. You palmed him through his boxers, he didn’t give you the pleasure of hearing anything from him, but that’s alright you didn’t mind earning it. Once you were satisfied with how hard he was, you pulled him out of the boxers. Leaning back on your knees you took it in, unsure if you could fit the length of it in completely.
Hannibal took in your hesitation. Using a finger he tilted your head up to look at him in the eye. “We don’t have to do anything if you aren’t okay with it now. A change of mind is more than alright.”
“No. It’s not that I want to,” you licked your lips, as if to prove how okay you were you wrapped your hand around him, thumb tracing a prominent vein, “I was just wondering if it would fit all the way in.”
He let out an amused huff, shaking his head, “I’m sure you’ll try your best, ridiculous girl.”
Leaning in you pressed a kiss to the head. Just a little more time to work up the courage. You kissed along the shaft, mapping out every vein. Your tongue traced its way back up, catching a taste of precome that had beaded on the head. An encouraging hand threaded itself in your hair, never pushing for more than you were willing to give.
A knock at the door, interrupts the scene.
“A moment,” Hannibal calls out to the person. “Get under the desk,” he said as he started to hide away any evidence that he was with anyone. Your appearance wasn’t completely ruined, not to his taste at least, but the messed up lipstick and slightly ruined hair wouldn’t take much mental work for someone to come to the correct conclusion.
Taking his instruction you got under the desk as he fixed his own appearance, suit jacket over his arm to hide himself. Walking over to the door, “Mr. Henderson,” he greeted, pleasantly, “Please, come in.”
“Hannibal, sorry about stopping by so late,” you heard the door close as the two walked over.
“Nonsense. If anything, the company is welcomed.” Hannibal took his seat, pulling his chair in close, to make sure you were hidden away.
“I was actually going to see if I could convince you to stay.”
Mischief sparked as you grew bored with their droning conversation. Thankfully he had decided to get rid of his belt fully. It didn’t take much to free him again. He spread his legs, attempting to give you the most space possible under the cramped desk. You pumped him in your hand, getting him back to how you had him. The other hand tugged softly at his balls. You wouldn’t be able to put him in your mouth properly with this angle. Instead you satisfied yourself with sucking on the sides of his cock.
“The students adore you,” the other man countered whatever Hannibal had said, “Honestly your classes are killing Jacob’s with every exam.”
“I take great pride in my students. They are an extension of myself. How well they do is a direct reflection of my skill as a teacher,” he sighed, “I have a couple of people in mind that could fill my roll, I’ll ask people to see who’s interested.”
“Still Jacob’s is slacking too much, I may take away his student aid privileges. I see her around here more often than I ever see him.”
You gave a particularly hard suck to a seemingly sensitive spot as his hips had stuttered ever so slightly. No evidence of any misconduct came from his voice as he said, “Oh her? She is a very good girl. Motivated. Never complains about a thing.”
You felt Hannibal throb against your mouth. Taking a break you leaned your head on Hannibal’s thigh, as fun as it would to mess with him more, you knew he took great pride in his social image. Besides, you had wanted Hannibal’s full attention anyway. His hand came down to your hair, subtly showing that he was still paying attention to you to the best of his abilities.
They talked a while longer, before Henderson finally left. Hannibal had pulled out a stack of papers, motioning like he was going to work on grading, and politely asked him to lock the door as he left. When it was clear he pushed his chair away from the desk. You made your way out smiling at him.
“Someone seems very happy with themselves.”
“You enjoyed it.”
“But did you ask permission?” Hannibal asked as worked himself lazily.
You faltered slightly under his gaze, “Well...no.”
“And do you think you deserve any type of reward for that stunt?”
“...I hope so.”
“I’ll forgive it,” he decided, “only because you’re so eager and we never set ground rules. But now it’s on my terms.”
“Yes, sir,” you nodded obediently, not wanting to receive one of Hannibal's punishments just yet.
Hannibal used your hair to pull you closer. You stumbled on your knees catching yourself on his thighs. “Since you were so unsure if you could fit in daddy earlier, after that little stunt, I’m sure you’re feeling better now. Aren’t you?”
The hand in your hair pushed you down. You closed your mouth around the tip. Hannibal groaned quietly, letting you work your way down. Bobbing your head you took more of him deeper every time, but those last two inches were proving difficult. Gripping your hair, he pulled you off of him.
His breath was coming in quick pants, brushing your hair away from your face. “Do you need help, darling?”
“I can’t fit it daddy.” It came out in a breathless whine.
“Yes, you can. Be a good little mouth and let me do the work.”
Again he pushed you onto his cock. This time he took control. His hand kept you in place as he thrusted his hips up. Without the hesitation you had, he fit himself in quickly. Grinding into your mouth he let you choke around it for a while before pulling you up for air.
“See?” He choked out as he used you again, “Fucking perfect mouth… Daddy’s good girl… taking care of me like she asked.”
His grunted praises and moans were enough to excuse the tear prickling your eyes. Over and over he used your mouth to it’s extent. Seeming to enjoy it most when you did choke on him. Hannibal stopped before he came. Pulling you up off the floor and onto his lap. Wiping away the stray tears that had fallen.
“You’re too good for me.” He kissed your cheek.
“You haven’t finished.” You caught your breath as you curled into his chest. His cologne comforted you. The increasingly familiar scent carved a special place in you.
“I’ll finish later,” he promised, dropping another kiss onto your head, “At the moment, I want to make sure you’re alright. I got carried away.”
“I’m not porcelain, Hannibal,” you intertwined your fingers with his, “I like it when you’re in charge… It gives me a chance to not think of anything.”
“Even so these situations require a lot of trust from your partner.”
You shrugged, as you decided to be honest, “At the moment you seem to be the only person I trust. Besides, you wouldn’t hurt me.”
“Let’s hope I don’t disappoint you.”
“I can’t see you ever doing that.”
That night Hannibal had taken you home. You received the same treatment you had received the first night you stayed at his house. Mostly you thought it was an apology of some sort for treating you roughly in his office. By some good grace both of you had classes later in the day, allowing you to enjoy the softer side of Hannibal in the morning again.
A new sweater of his joined the one that resides on your futon. You hadn’t thought twice about packing them away when you emptied your apartment out.
-
Life in New York was eventful to say the least. Different but fun. It had been six months since you had graduated. Your friend from high school shared an even shabbier apartment together. You made a couple friends. Picked up jobs at a bar and a bookstore.
“You’re not any fun,” Alex complained as she adjusted her makeup, “You never want to go out with me.”
“I’m tired,” you complained. “Anyway, why would I want to go to a bar when I work at one?”
“To wreak hell on someone that’s stuck in your usual gig.”
“Have fun with the guys.”
She attempted to pull you off the couch a couple more times to no avail. In truth you were happy to have a moment of peace. All honesty she was the driving force in you actually living your life and not just working the entire time. You really did love her for all of that and the experiences you had. However there were times for breaks to be had from everything. And tonight was one of them.
You showered, got dressed in a sweater and shorts, heated up some leftovers. Throwing on a bad 80’s horror flick, you spent your night in splendor. A break was rare and you were gonna use your relaxation time to its extent. Sleep overtook you sometime in the night, only to be woken up by the annoying shrill sound of your phone.
“Al, baby, I love you so damn much, but if you’re gonna bitch at me about not going out tonight. I just might be tempted to murder you,” you muttered sleepily, “I could get away with it.”
“Sweet girl, is that any way to speak to your friends?” A voice you hadn’t heard in a while asked, disappointment clear in his tone.
“Hannibal,” you said lamely, slightly ashamed that that was the first thing he heard from you in months. “I’m sorry. I wasn’t expecting you. It’s… It’s been a while.”
“It has been,” he agreed, “In fact, I called to ask if you would like to come to a dinner party.”
You looked at the clock, noting just how late it had been. “You called at two in the morning to ask me to a dinner party?”
“I’ve been busy and you didn’t leave an address for an invitation. It was… spur of the moment.”
“I missed you too,” you sighed, deciding to be the one to voice it, “Yeah, I’d love to go over.”
“Are you planning on staying with me?”
You sighed dramatically, “Suppose I can give a lonely old man some company. What, you couldn’t find anyone as entertaining as me in Baltimore?”
“I’ve got specific tastes.”
“Is that right?”
Alex walked in, the last part of the conversation hitting her ears and the alcohol in her system making her louder. “Is that the daddy? Does he know he’s ruined men for you? Ugh, can you get him over here to loosen you up? I’d appreciate it that so much.”
“I never said ruined, I just sa-“ you realized Hannibal was still on the phone, “Just please, go take a shower, I’ll make you anything you want to eat if you promise to stay quiet.”
Surprisingly she complied, only saying egg sandwich with cheese and bacon in response.
“Ruined?”
“Couldn’t let that skate by?”
“You’re the one talking about me.”
You coughed. “I don’t know. I guess I’ve got specific taste too. Just something happened with someone and I don’t know, I couldn’t get into it that same way. Like with you. They needed me to tell them exactly how… It was just awkward. It wasn’t satisfying. They were nice though.”
“You compare my experience to their experience inexperience,” he deduced. “You enjoy knowing I’ve got everything under control.”
You tried to shake away the blush. “So it seems we’re stuck in similar positions.”
“We are.”
“Hannibal,” you heard someone call out, “When were you thinking of joining us? We didn’t bother you so much you had to leave us that long.”
He asked him for a moment.
“Seems like someone wants your attention,” you commented.
“Does it bother you?”
“Not at all. Just friends having fun right? It would be hypocritical considering I just told you of my night with someone else. As long as it’s nothing serious with whoever that was, we’re fine.”
“They’re nothing. Someone’s too loud nephew. In fact I think he’s rather rude. You know I can’t stand people like that.”
“You’ll survive. Get home safe.”
“I’ll send you the directions in a moment. Have a goodnight little one.”
“‘Night daddy,” the long unused term of endearment fell from your lips easily.
“‘Night daddy,” Alex sighed dreamily from the bathroom door, “God, is the dick really that good? How could it be?”
You hung up the phone. “Can you please not do that next time? He’s really particular about things.”
She raised her hands up in defense. “Whoa, there. He can handle a little joke at his expense when he’s already been down your throat. Now where’s my sandwich?”
“I’m serious Al.” You sighed when you got up from the couch to get to work on your promise. “He makes me feel like I need to be all proper.”
“You’re fine, doll. A dime if I’ve ever seen one. I’m not gonna ruin this for you, if he randomly decided to call you this late,” she took a seat on the counter, taking the water you handed her gratefully, “Do you want that to be a long term thing?”
“Nah,” you threw the bread into the toaster, “I couldn’t live his life. Sure, I like him and I do think he’s fun to hang around. But it just feels like something that will simmer down eventually. We’ll probably meet up a couple more times and it’ll be done. It’s not like we do anything more than end up in bed and sweet talk.”
“I’m telling you, we’d be set if you asked him to be your sugar daddy. Please ask him to take care of you and be his call girl.”
“How about you?” You asked, changing the topic, “Any pretty girls?”
“This one chick at work,” she shook her head, “Fucking goddess of a woman, LN, I’m telling you. I got it bad. She’s got me waiting for her with her coffee orders in the morning like some kind of obedient little puppy.”
“You know her coffee order.”
“Exactly!”
“How’s the commitment issues?”
“I’m gonna have to fucking work through them. Unlike someone, I think I wanna try out the long term thing.”
“Hey!” You cracked the eggs into the oil, “I’m just not up for it right now.”
“Work him out of your system. We’re supposed to be having fun this year.”
You sighed, “I’m trying.”
“I’m telling you we find you a decent lay. You won’t need to be fucking around with that guy.” Your phone chimed. Alex grabbed it off the counter. “The devil works fast doesn’t he? Address and day of the party. You’re welcome to stay as long as you’d like. Says he’ll buy you a cute little number.”
“No, tell him I got it.”
“Thank you, daddy. I’ll make it worth your wild. Wink. Send.”
“You’re the worst.”
“I still think he’s ugly,” she shrugged, tossing your phone over, “May as well get a cute dress out of sleeping with him.”
“He’s not ugly. I’ve seen the people you’ve brought home,” You scoffed, handing over the plate.
“Reggie is a fun time! Fuck I miss Reggie.”
“Work chick,” you reminded her.
“Right right.” She argued before taking a bite of the sandwich. “Fine, we’ve both had our questionable older partner moments. Nothing to be ashamed of.”
“I’m not.”
“Still never called her mommy and that’s a win in my books.”
“I should have never told you that,” you laughed, “I fucking hate you man.”
She pinched your cheek affectionately, “You had your chance to get rid of me. The return policy ran out. You’re stuck. Congratulations.”
“How long until you expire?”
Alex pretended to count it through. “We’re looking at at least 50 years more, if we’re lucky.”
You hummed, “Are you accounting for possible sickness or accidents?”
“I’m immortal for 50 years in between. No arguments at this time please.”

The Roommate
Characters:
TFATWS!Bucky Barnes x Neighbor!Reader
Summary:
Bucky Barnes as your neighbor is a good thing, especially when you need company. You two instantly became friends ever since he heard you listening to classic songs, and that you prefer "old but classic" stuff. To make the long story short, you fell for him, but when you confessed your feelings for him, he avoided you. And you thought that's how your beautiful start would end.
Warning:
Fluff
This is why you sometimes hate Sundays, you have nothing to do, and you're bored as fuck.
There's nothing to watch on Netflix, you have no new books to read, and no new episode of a podcast to listen to. So at the moment, you are just lying on your bed, staring blankly at your room's ceiling.
If only you're still living with your ex-roommate, Ana, the two of you must've talking gossips and having conversations about life nonstop. But she's not here since she moved to a different State last week already for a new job opportunity. She didn't want to leave you but she can't say no to a job opportunity, and you can't keep her from achieving her dream as well. So here you are, hoping that your next roommate will be just like Ana.
You were about to grab the remote control of your television inside your room when your phone vibrated, signaling that you have a text message.
Hey, I saw your post on the internet and that you're looking for a roommate. I'm interested and hoping we could meet today somewhere so we could discuss it.
You frowned a bit when you noticed that the sender of the message didn't mention any name nor introduce himself/herself.
Just when you're about to reply to this text, you received another message from the same number.
I'm Sam by the way.
Now that this sender finally introduced himself/herself, your confusion vanished, and decided to meet with this potential roommate of yours. Although you're still not quite sure whether this Sam is a guy or a girl, nonetheless, that's not important. What's important for you is that he or she is not a bad person and a heartbreaker.
You agreed to meet with your potential roommate in a nearby coffee shop in an hour. So you got up and went your way to your shower to prepare for this unexpected meeting.
The moment you entered the coffee shop you and your potential roommate agreed to meet on, you grab your phone and dialed the number of the person you're meeting, Sam.
Well, at least, you're not gonna die out of boredom. ───────────────────❥
"Hello?" you began when you heard that Sam already accepted your call, "This is Y/N. I'm already here in the coffee shop. Can you like raise your hand so I could see you?" you asked.
You roam your eyes around as you wait for Sam to answer in the other line.
"I'm right behind you," a familiar voice spoke on the other line.
Your heart skipped a beat when you heard that familiar voice.
You slowly turn around and see for yourself if your hunch is right about that familiar voice.
Hell, you are right.
It was him. It was Bucky.
It was the man you fell for.
Your eyes met his blue eyes when you face him. He was still holding his phone to his hear when you two face each other.
Seeing him now made you remember how you told him that you like him and that you're starting to fall for him already, and at the same time, you remembered how he walked out of your apartment and broke your heart into pieces. He left without any words. He just left and avoided you from then on.
Well, not until this day came.
"What the hell are you doing here?" you asked him straight on his face as you end your call with your supposed to be a potential roommate and put your phone inside your bag, "And what kind of sick joke this is?"
Bucky took a deep breath as he moves a step closer to you, "You have every right to be mad at me, and I won't question it. I've been a jerk, an asshole, I get it. But I was hoping you'd listen to me," he said.
You scoffed, "Listen to you? Listen to the guy who walked out on me on the night that I confessed my feelings? That's a bit absurd, don't you think?" you sarcastically smiled at him as you ask him. You shook your head, "This is going nowhere. So long, old friend."
You were about to walk past him when he gently grabbed your wrist to stop you from walking away from him.
"Please, Y/N. I'm begging you," he made you face him again, "I didn't mean to hurt you. I didn't mean to avoid you as much as I didn't mean to love you."
Love you? He loves you?
He nodded, "Y/N, that night you told me that you like me and that you are actually falling for me, I was the happiest man alive. But that happiness faded away the moment I remembered who I am, and who I was. Instantly, I realized that you don't know me that well for you to love me that easily," he explained.
"Let's say you really do love me and that there's still I need to know about you," you pull back your hand away from him and crossed your arms in front of your chest, "Why tell me now? Why confess to me right now?"
"Because I fucking love you damn much already," he answered back immediately. He clenched his jaw and closed his eyes for a second before he started talking again, "I tried my best to forget you, to forget what I feel for you but it's fucking too impossible. So I thought that if I'd let you know who I really am, who I was, I'll leave you the choice whether you still want to be with me or not."
You can't believe that this is happening right now.
A month ago, you realized that you don't have every time in the world to take your time to confess your feelings for Bucky, so you did confess to him. However, he broke your heart. And now here you are, you are very tempted to kiss him right now but you fought the urge to since you are curious about who he really is.
Bucky extended his hand towards you, "Come with me."
You took a glance at his hand before you look at him again, "I don't know, Bucky," you looked down and shook your head, "You already broke my heart and I don't think I have enough trust in you to come with you."
He chuckled, "You have a swiss knife on your bag, you have a pepper spray, if I do something vile to you, use it. I won't fight it," he assured.
Despite the heartbreak he gave you, you won't deny the fact that he's still charming to you. So yes, you ended up saying yes and coming with him.

"What the hell are we doing in the Smithsonian museum, Bucky?" you ask him as you both walk inside the museum.
It was a long drive from NYC to DC. You fell asleep the whole time you two were on the road. You wanted to ask him why does he have to take you to DC, but you were too tired to give a damn. So you let him take you to the place that will show you who he really is.
But you never thought you'd end up here in the Smithsonian Museum.
He didn't answer you, instead, he leads the two of you inside the exhibit made for the legacy of Captain America, Steve Rogers.
You chuckle and shook your head as you both walk inside the exhibit, "If we're planning to steal Cap's shield, I hate to break it to you but there's a new Captain America already," you joked.
"Yeah, I know," he casually answered, "I know him."
Your brows furrowed as you look at him, "The former Captain America or the new one?" you asked him, not sure if he's kidding or not.
"Both of them," he sighed and stopped walking. He faces you, "Before we proceed," he grabbed your hand and sighed again, "I want you to know that I love you, I really do. I also want you to know that I'm sorry for breaking your heart, for hurting you, but there's a lot of reason why I had to do it."
Your heart melted the moment he told you that he loves you. It wasn't the first time, but it feels like it. You wanted to tell him that it doesn't matter who he was and who he is because, for you, love is love. It doesn't give a damn about anyone's real identity. But you two have come a long way to back out now.
"Ready?" he asked you.
You nodded, "Yeah. I'm ready."
You and Bucky walked a few seconds more, but your body froze the moment you saw his picture inside Captain America's exhibit. He was beside Captain Steve Rogers.
"Battle tested, Captain America and his Howling Commandos quickly earned their stripes. Their mission, taking down HYDRA, the Nazi rogue science division."
"Bucky?" you murmured when your eyes landed on the picture of the guy standing next to you. You took a glance at Bucky and he was just looking at you and what your reaction will be. You look over Bucky's shoulder and saw a portrait of him plastered in a glass. You automatically walked there and check it for yourself.
"Best friends since childhood, Bucky Barnes and Steven Rogers were inseparable on both schoolyard and battlefield. Barnes is the only Howling Commando to give his life in service of his country."
There's both so much and too much to see in this exhibit, not the Captain America part, but the part where you realize that your neighbor, the guy you fell for is actually not the man you thought he is.
Beside Bucky's glass mosaic, you saw a video presented near it. It was Bucky and Captain Rogers.
"You weren't really kidding when you said that you knew the former Captain America," you said when you saw Bucky on your peripheral, looking at you, watching you.
"He's my best friend, and even he's gone already, he still is," he said.
You and Bucky walked around the exhibit more. He also showed you around Captain America's exhibit and even showed you the uniform he wore during his Howling Commando days.
You have no idea what to think or feel at the moment, but one thing's for sure, your love for him didn't fade away even if you knew who he really is and who he was, not even after he told you that he was the infamous Winter Soldier. You still feel the same for him and you have no idea why. Maybe because love is love.
After you two went ou the Smithsonian Museum, you two walked around the National Mall.
"Why did you think that showing me these would change my mind about you?" you asked him, breaking the silence between the two of you.
"Because I--"
You cut him off, "Because you assassinated people in the past?" you stopped from walking and faced him, "Or because you are a hundred and six years old man?"
"Y/N, you know---"
You cut him off again, "No, I don't know, Bucky. So tell me," you chuckled and shook your head, "Does these things supposed to change my mind? My heart? What I fucking feel for you? Well, sorry it didn't! Because even after I found out that you are Cap's best friend, that you were one of his Howling Commandos, that you were the Winter Soldier, and that you are an Avenger, I still feel the same way for you, I still see you as the guy I fell in love with, I still see you as my neighbor who likes Marvin Gaye so much that he listens to it through night and day, I still see you as Bucky Barnes," you told him.
The whole time you two were walking around the museum up to this scenic place in DC, you have nothing in mind aside from the fact that you were actually fascinated about who he really is.
Finding out that he's an avenger, that he's making this world a better place and saving it from going chaotic made you love him even more. Even the fact that he's a hundred and six years old man doesn't bother you at all and doesn't change how you see him.
"And if those things you showed and told me why you broke my heart, then I must tell you," you wiped your tears away, "You just wasted your time because it didn't change the fact that I love you. You told me that you're giving me the choice whether I still want to be with you or not, and I made my choice now, Bucky," you walked closer to him and held his right cheek, "I want to be with you."
Bucky held your hand that was on his cheek, and your eyes landed on his gloved hand because now you know why he was always wearing a leather jacket and covering his hand with gloves.
So you grabbed his hand and slowly remove the glove he was wearing, when you look at him, he was surprised by what you did.
"This is the hand that I will always hold onto, the hand that I will always choose to hold," you smiled at him.
You finally felt his vibranium hand on your cheek as he wipes your tears away, "I'm sorry if I had to hurt you that way. I'm sorry for breaking your heart, but I'm already here and I will not leave you," he pulled you closer to him and kissed your forehead, "I got you now and there's nothing else I could ask for," he pulled you again and this time it was the tip of your nose he chose to kiss, "I love you," he said before he finally claims your lips with his.
His lips dance with yours, and with every sway, you felt his longing, his love, and care for you. As cliche as it sounds, it was truly like your love for each other. It was pure and true.
"Who's Sam by the way?" you asked him after you two kissed, "Wait, Sam Wilson as in the Falcon?"
He nodded, "Yeah, the new Captain America. I asked him if I could use his name because I know you won't answer my calls," he said and sighed, "Anyway, you might have to take down your post about looking for a roommate."
You frowned, "And why is that?" you asked him.
"Because I'll be moving in with you," he revealed, which made your eyes widened in surprise, "Only if you want to of course."
You chuckle as you nodded, "I would love that."
"Just to be sure, you're my girlfriend now, right?" he asked you.
"For a hundred and six years old man, you're the most slow-moving one," you joked and run your fingers through his hair as he wrapped his arms around you, "I'm yours and you're mine, Bucky Barnes."
