“It’s a bit weird,” you say quietly. 

Hotch touches your thigh under the desk. “It’s not weird,” he says without looking up. There’s a casefile open in front of him, because there almost always is. 

“It looks weird.” 

“It looks beautiful. You’re changing.” 

You cover your stomach with your woollen cardigan and glance through the windows of his office. You’ve spent a lot of time at his side lightly; brewing a new life has made you unreasonably paranoid. It’s not a symptom either of you were expecting, but Hotch has yet to baulk. You weren’t even showing and you were wrecked by nerves. Now you’re calming, and the baby is getting bigger, and you’re pretending to be more anxious than you feel for the sake of being near him. He hasn’t baulked about that, either. 

“Are you sure I can still be in here?” you ask. 

“Well, my ability to get work done hasn’t been affected,” he says, a teasing lightness seeping into his tone. “Are you working well?” 

You jiggle the mousepad on your laptop to wake the screen. “Yes.” 

“That’s terrible. I’m one handed managing more than you.” 

You cover his hand with yours. “No need to brag.” 

Hotch hums. You sit quietly after that for a time as he works. He’s consulting on something, and he does as he claims; he works efficiently until he’s finished, his brow crinkled, his thoughts unsaid. You sneak a peek at his case and he closes it quickly. 

“Hey, what? I can’t see? Is it confidential?” 

“You’ll feel gross and then the baby will.” He smiles around the word ‘gross’ as though he knows it’s completely out of character to say. “I’m protecting you both.” 

“My hero.” 

“Watch it,” he says, squeezing your thigh hard enough to tingle. 

You laugh and lean back in your chair, the end of your blouse climbing up your stomach uncomfortably. It’s odd to suddenly outgrow your shirts in this specific way, and to see the evidence of your small sapling as he grows. “Whatever.” 

Hotch glances at the door before turning in his chair toward you. His hair has grown out again to your delight, dark strands kissing his forehead, darker lashes held low as his gaze drops to your stomach, and he cups your bump without asking. He’s the only one who can get away with such a thing —he’s the gentlest touch you’ve ever met. “How’s your heart today?” he asks, his palm gracing back and forth. It’s oddly soothing. 

He’s asking if you’re worried. “I’m okay. I think whatever it was is going away… I know you’ll take care of me, so there’s no reason to be freaking out all the time.” 

“I will,” he says. He lets his hand rest warmly on the hill of your stomach. “I can’t protect you from everything, but you know,” —he drops his voice to half a murmur— “I’ll try my hardest, honey.” 

You lean into his side. “That’s good enough for me.” 

Hotch puts his head on yours, jiggling your mousepad for you when the screen goes dark.

“You excited?” Auggie asks Scott. “Yeah, but im more nervous than anything.” The blond sighs. “I haven't seen her in so long. What if she gets here and tells me that she found another guy, you know? A normal one.”

Auggie laughs and shakes his head. “Dude, you're paranoid, chill. You've been together for what? Two years and a half? She ain't gonna leave you, man.” Scott looks over at Auggie. “You don't know that. Seriously, even when I was back at school and people knew about us, guys would still try and get at her. Now that im gone, who knows what has happened.”

“Sounds like you've got some serious trust issues.” Auggie shrugs his shoulders and leans back into his chair. “Even if she leaves you, ya got Jules and Shelby.”

Scott glares. “Hell no. Jules is annoying and Shelby... she's not my type.” He kisses his teeth and starts bouncing his leg. “Yeah, but they're there if you-”

“Shut up.” Scott cuts him off.

Moments later, you and his parents walk into the room. Scott stands up quickly and waits for you all to walk up to him. “Oh, Scott. We've missed you!” His mom says and hugs Scott right away. “I missed you too, mom.”

“Dad.” He nods at Martin. Then, when his mom let go of him, he fixated his eyes on you with a shy smile. “Hey..”

“Don't just stand there. Do something.” You smile, and right away, he pulls you into an embrace. “I've missed you so so much.” He kisses all over your face. “Its been hell not being able to see you.” He cups your face. “Same here.” You giggle and boop his nose. “I cant believe this is real.”

Scott sighs and rests his forehead against yours. “You smell good.” He mutters. “Well, I'm wearing the perfume you like. And even better, I brought it so that you can keep it while you're here. So you dont miss me too much.”

Scott rolls his eyes with a playful smirk. “How thoughtful.”

His parents took you two to dinner. There was lots of chatting, laughter, and overall just good vibes.

On the car ride back, Scott was all over you.. sort of. It needed to be appropriate since his parents were in the front. “I dont want you to go. Can't you just pick up a really bad addiction and get sent here with me?” He nuzzles into your shoulder.

“I'll try my best.” You smile and run your fingers through his hair. “I'd recommend cocaine or heroin.”

“Scott.” His mother looks back from the front, and he laughs. “Gotta do what ya gotta do, mom. ”

“All for some hanky panky.” His father snickers.

“Dad, dont call it that. That's gross.” Scott rolls his eyes. True or not—Scott mostly only wanted you there because he missed you in general. Your laughter, stupid jokes, weird attitude—all of it. He missed your presence.

“Promise you'll keep writing? And that you'll come back..” He whispers to you as you say goodbye outside of the entrance.

“Yes, I'll l keep writing, and ill try to come back. I had to do some serious begging with that Peter guy.” You say.

“Great.” He kisses you one last time and the speaks up. “Im spraying your perfume over my pillows and sheets, by the way.”

“Grand.” You tap his cheek. “I love you, Scott.”

“I love you more.” He says with a small frown and you leave to the car with his parents. He misses you already.

“Seriously, pick up a drug addition.” He groans and heads inside.

a kind person on the blocktales askblog dc pointed this out to me and i've been spiraling ever since.

theres alot of evidence suggesting that telamon is shedletsky. (which makes sense cause they're both the same person in real life too.)

first of all they share the same font colour

and secondly shedletsky insinuates that HE own's the haunted manor. you know the haunted manor TELAMON owns???

what makes this interesting is that people like the ghost chef view telamon and shedletsky as two different people

the only explanation to this that shedletsky is hiding the fact that he is telamon. which means he's LYING TO OUR FACE about being to injured to help us directly on our quest. if he was able to save kitchen wizard and jim as telamon, WHY ISN'T HE HELPING US ON OUR ARGUABLY MORE IMPORTANT QUEST?? IS HE AVOIDING INTERACTING WITH THE SWORDS??

i have strong evidence that both mayor thyaniel and griefer suffer from this vice the most.

thyaniel is the one i have the most evidence for. he just admits he his position as a guardian makes him feel isolated from his peers.

griefer i have far less evidence for im just purely going off of vibes.

he just gives off the vibe of a hikiomori shut in. his room is a mess and it's located in the middle of buckshit nowhere far away from the town.

FEAR:

the cruel king is clearly paranoid about blackrock's destruction.

HATRED:

though hatred doesn't have one particular wielder representing it (if you exclude the player) all the other wielders showed signs of suffering from it's influence.

cruel king hated us because he believed we would bring doom upon his kingdom.

griefer was kinda just an ass to everyone, especially his dad.

and captain trotter hated us for betraying him for the firebrand and for getting his crew killed.

I know everyone & their mother memed about how series Alastor isnt scary, which I absolutley agree with, but I wanted to give my own 2 cents

One horror element i feel like is never used with Alastor is music ironically enough. In modern horror, it's a common trope to use old music as it creates this uneasy & unknown feeling. Alastor is a radio host from the 30s, who is supposed to be this intimidating & mysterious figure, so this trope would be right up his alley. But knowing Vivziepop doesn't do her reserch, this aspect isnt used at all. Which is a shame because distorted old music creates such a different vibe i can't really explain it.

Like, instead of making edgy threats, he lets the music he emits speak for itself. When Husk makes his leash comment, he doesn't say anything with his back towards Husk. Then 'Childishly fresh eyes' starts playing. Still not a peep from Al, but it's enough for Husk to apologize & retract his statement.

I really wish Vivziepop and the writers played around with Alastor’s radio and shadow during season 1. It could’ve led to a bunch of pretty cool and mysterious moments. Speaking of old radio music used by Alastor, there’s a comic created by Ninja and dubbed by Paranoid DJ where it sets the scene pretty well using old timey music from Alastor.

In the comic dub, Angel Dust is desperately looking for Fat Nuggets and hears music coming from Alastor only to discover that Alastor is eating “Fat Nuggets.” Absolute chills. Letting the music speak for itself would be so powerful. The edgy threats Alastor makes throughout season 1 is so unserious 😂.

i adore how mxtx sorta flipped the idea on the whole top/bottom thing with svsss, and just BL relationships in general.

making bingqiu very open to switching, not making the "bottom" super feminine and actually leaning more to the handsome side compared to the "top", how luo binghe is manipulative sensitive and cries easily, etc. one of the main themes in svsss is literally about sexuality (and possibly even about gender roles).

as a queer asian man myself, i absolutely despise the "yaoi archetype" and it was one of the reasons why i avoided consuming BL media. hell, years ago when i first saw heavens official blessing, i mentally groaned and went, "ugh, let me guess, the bottom is super feminine and innocent, while the top is masculine and experienced." of course, that's not the case now, but it's disappointing how that thought was there purely because of the god awful way fetish-y media portrays homosexual people and couples. because, believe it or not, we are not assigned male/female typical gender roles just because one likes to top/bottom (and even then, it's not even like that! some people have preferences, sure, but it's not so strictly "i'm top/bottom")

so, while i absolutely LOVE the english novel designs (especially luo binghe's cute curly hair, gongyi xiao, etc, and personally believe a lot of the takes from the western artist on the designs are an improvement), i am greatly saddened by people subconsciously assigning shen qingqiu as someone more delicate and feminine and luo binghe as someone super masculine and muscly. like, if you're going to have luo binghe depicted as the western design (i believe this stems from binghe being applied to more western ideals for men, and, admittedly, i actually really love his design), at least don't make shen qingqiu feminine and delicate? don't have his appearance play into the stupid yaoi thing?

i get that people have different takes on svsss, especially how the western version depicts it. but, people just... seem to very over exaggerate the top/bottom roles when it comes to bingqiu (again, these two are, canonically, VERY open to switching).

it's weird, it's uncomfortable, and it comes across as, "so, who wears the pants in the relationship?"

so, can we please have more canonically handsome shen qingqiu? canonically beautiful and pretty boy luo binghe (they literallly state that binghe looks EXACTLY like his mom, su xiyan! while a more handsome woman, is still very beautiful!! plus it is stated several times that binghe is slim, and that shang qinghua made him that way!) or at the very least, a BL couple who actually look like normal people (ok thats a little hard considering binghe is literally supposed to be perfect) and not just a stupid fetishized version of themselves.

and no, i'm not saying that queer men shouldn't be feminine or men who are feminine shouldn't be in a relationship with guys who are masculine, etc.

TLDR: please stop twinkifying shen qingqiu and going against what mxtx defied for us queer men (the stupid yaoi roles). and for the love of whoever you believe in, do NOT think that i hate the english design or people's personal interpretation of characters, i just hate the subconscious assigning of gender roles to bingqiu and how media portrays and fetishizes LGBTQ+ relationships in general.

edit: also i love teardrew's (check them out on twitter!) interpretation of shang qinghua. while i do really like the the eng novel design's tiny scared hamster vibes, teardrew's version just radiates "up to no good, paranoid but suspicious looking bitch" rat man and i love it so so so much. i'm not gonna repost their art bc i don't know how they feel about that but perhaps you can search up "svsss designs" on here, you'll see it pop up eventually lol.

Skz Husband Series: Hyunjin

He'd be loyal and devoted, i see him being really committed and truly all in, to the point where he goes above and beyond and sacrifices himself, or others for the sake of love. I also see there being huge potential for things growing really toxic just out of spite and stubbornness of not giving up on love.

He can get heartbroken really easily and i think marriage with him will have many heartbreaks along the way, mainly from his side and dealing with his "fragile" heart and turbulent emotions, him jumping to conclusions etc and mostly him hurting himself - will be something constant. What im also seeing tho is that as "fragile" as his heart might be or look at first glance he's actually really really tough, maybe even too much. And can take much "abuse" before he finally can't handle more. He doesn't let go easily and can and WILL endure a lot before he does.

He's a rich bitch and likes spending lavishly, he'll spoil his partner to no end, not only cuz of affection (of course that as well) but also because he likes to uphold a certain status/standard for himself and his partner has to match that so i see him spending quite the buck on his s/o, but also on himself and on lavish stuff and luxury altogether. Spending and luxury's gonna be a big theme in their married life.

He might get starved very easily tho, for attention, for confirmation, for security, i think he'll be constantly needing some sort of validation and confirmation because he naturally seems like a very devoted, die together type of vibe and i think in general in his relationships, when he loves, he always loves harder and i think he has gotten pretty paranoid when it comes to that so in the marriage he'll have those phases every once in a while where he feels gloomy and almost in a victim mentality, keeping himself in a state of mind and false beliefs that don't really equal his reality. So emotional labor on his partners side will be needed quite often, a readiness for that and a talent innit as well. I feel like his partner will have to have a eep understanding of psychology or just good intuition and people knowledge, to know well whats going on inside of him and be able to do and say all the right things, the right way at the right time to actually be able to calm him down and take him out of that spiral - cuz otherwise the outcome could be the absolute opposite and blow up in their face.

I see marriage with him would have two kinda contradicting sides. One light and one dark. And i think Hyunjin will definitely be the leading role. He's gonna be the hand and the voice of the relationship. His feelings, his moods will lead the way. And his partner will just have to follow. I don't think they have any power to steer in another direction. Hyunjin doesn't either. He has such a powerful inner world that i don't think he himself can control it all that well. So they're both kinda left at the mercy of his own...depths(?)

The rest of the reading isn't very reality focused, like talking about how he would be as a husband but rather just repeating the same energy over and over again, despite me drawing quite a few cards...so i think the takeaway from that is that having him as a husband will be very luxurious and really elevate ur standard of life, but it would also be very tricky and emotionally draining - tho the reward after is really really worth it as he is a deeply devoted guy that loves very hard and is ready to do everything for love, doesn't give up easily and you can count on him and know he'll always be there and love and accept u the way you are with all ur imperfections and flaws. He might even love you strongly for them sometimes depending on what kind of imperfections we're talking about. Once he accepts and loves you he does! Although doubts, fears etc will constantly creep up - u have to have the gist to deal with them and resolve them for him.

spoilers for 2x01 - 2x06

(excuse name errors/spelling mistakes i am not good at remembering shit hence why i want to make this post cause i think it’s fun to do & people might enjoy reading my brain pluckings as i fight to catch up with you all)

- whys buck and eddies first interaction so ‘I hate you bro’ but not even 30 minutes later ‘you’re kinda cool bro’ lmfao, im gonna love their ship, i can feel it.

- eddie i officially want to adopt you. adorable, i love him so much already!

- Buck and Eddie both rejecting girls at the truck scene was iconic. Although I’m a little disappointed chimney didn’t get hit on, put some respect on my man.

- i love seeing athena and bobby’s scenes, literally melting my heart. they both deserve happiness in their blended little family <333

- the earthquake episodes were rough, really enjoyable. i love a good natural disaster episode, was really cool to watch. notice how buck and eddie were paired together??

- no sign of Abby yet! that’s a positive.

- Maddie is so fucking adorable, although im a bit paranoid for her about her ex. it’s cute seeing her as a 911 operator so im looking forward to seeing more of her scenes!

- was interesting to see some of eddies family, including his son!! can’t wait to find out more about his story.

- chimney deserves the world idc. why does he keep getting overlooked by women? is that gonna be a running joke that he isn’t attractive enough because be so fking fr, he is fine as hell! ugh justice for my man.

- tbh I don’t blame hen for almost walking away from her ex, i probably woulda had the same thoughts in that situation. But im glad her ex went back to jail, that’s gonna be an issue later….

- Gloria’s character was interesting, brought some humour to the show while also showcasing real issues, especially with ending calls like that…

abby doesn’t return (i think this is more of a manifestation but whatever helps keep her away)

maddie’s ex will probably call again or make a possible appearance??

more fire episodes would be cool?? it’s really interesting that there’s hardly any fires and they’re firefighters? I used to watch Chicago fire so it’s a different vibe watching 9-1-1 but still really cool! showing all the other hard work fire fighters have to do!

buck will let Abby tf go?? his scenes are annoying me, he keeps talking about her. baby needs to realise she doesn’t want him anymore and he can do a lot better.

this drawing was a pain in the ASS to make for some reason?? my first go at him was way too close to canon for my liking so i threw myself out there n got to a place i liked thankfully, plus halfway through i forgot how to draw hands and almost cried (joking) cause i thought i had them down at this point!!!!— but trust me, even if you have 9 years of art experience (like me unfortunately. someone take me out i’ve had a good life) ur gonna forget the basics sometimes. warm yourself up and try again cause i did and i eventually remembered 😭😭😭

doing these character studies and drawings have seriously improved my way and process of drawing faces which is so nice 🥲 i think i just need to start looking at the bigger picture again so i don’t forget how to draw everything else. like hands. or full bodies. foreshadowing ;)

i wanted my ted to look just a wee bit unsettling because my general consensus of him is that he is totally fucked in the head, lmfao. born a nepotism baby who ended up scamming people more for fun than for actual cash, horribly sexist but dependent on women to validate him, paranoid as all get out, selfish and self centered as all get out, just his canon personality’s all in one and turned up a notch. 🥲

i don’t think he’s totally beyond redemption, especially because he’s been cooped up with ellen, who is a highly decorated in the engineering field black woman, benny who’s gay and gorr “FREEDOM FIGHTIN’ LIBERAL🇺🇸🦅🦅🔥🔥” ister for 109 years. in that time he’s definitely slipped up and they’ve definitely corrected him (along with nimdok too LOL). i think with some intensive therapy, a shower and a trip to the tolerance museum (south park reference) he’ll be a little better.

i’m a mild ted/AM shipper (as seen in the bottom right hand corner) but more in the “ooohehheh they’re flirting!!… oh no. oh this is not going to end well. this is definitely a toxic relationship” way and less the “awh cute maybe they can have mutual redemption arcs!!!” way because i love seeing gay men suffer romantically (don’t cancel me i am a bisexual man suffering romantically i swear😭)

i’m not too partial to any other ships honestly, ted/ellen makes me nauseous (just cause of the way ted talks about/treats her in the franchise, no hate to my tellen shippers i promise) and i can only see gorrister with his wife 🥲 with benny and nimdok i have no clue if either of them rlly have romantic interests but im not a fan of them with anybody so erm… i do love the whole groups found family vibes though :”””] they’re all cute together and the mutual suffering but all the while growth is comforting to me

i think that’s about all my thoughts!!! another thank you for the support on this blog recently i love yall sm. i’ll eventually post on my transformers blog but i am STILL SCARED because robots are hard to draw. stay tuned for it though. 💀
