#you're lovely thank you #also man but the like footwork I did for this was just silly #so whale oil yeah sure but upon research I'm like okay but specifically sperm whale oil is probably smarter #less smelly and already used in cosmetics #and then I go okay so what's the viscosity of sperm oil #i am not laughing like a school child at all what're you talking about #apparently it's similar to melted coconut oil and I'm like okay #let's melt some coconut oil and see how it drips #and I recognize that's a higher commitment to accuracy than the show itself takes but you know what #that's who I am as a person #anyway thank you for being here #this is probably because I watched disney VHSs as a child and sometimes they had behind the scenes stuff on animation #and I only started trying to animate in october but I have this permanent memory of disney animators talking about filming milk dripping #to get the movement of raindrops falling into a puddle in bambi correct

Just had a very "KIDS THESE DAYS!!" moments, when an YouTuber said, "The average kid isn't going to take the time to watch a movie ten years older than they are", and I'm like, "Why does the average kid care? Wouldn't they just be watching what's available at h... oooooohhhhhhhhhh."

Incredible.#'I bet your favorite movies as a child were the ones you watched on the movie theater'#wrong. my favorite movies were the VHSs we happened to have at home.#as a child I OFTEN rewatched the extremely basic anime adaptation of Oz no one's ever heard about..................#....and my big sister's graduation ceremony.#the classes above her did little dance recitals.#and I loved them. Medic from Spy's Disguise, note the scar on his cheek, and the cross. Also note that while he has the scar in both pics, one pic is missing the cross, which means it's removable:

Fritz in his last living scene with Soldier and Corporal, note the lack of scarring:

Fritz in black driving his escape ambulance into the sunset, also lacking a scar:

Now here's the interesting part, this is the next scene, Presumably Fritz angry-driving the ambulance to Dell's. Notice anything on his cheek, and around his neck?

Once he gets to Dell's and exits the vehicle, no more scar or cross:

So! Is this just reusing assets or mixing things up accidentally or being lazy? Or does this mean something deeper?

honestly pissed off that video stores went out of business before i entered the workforce. i'd be SO good at working in a video store. i love putting things neatly on shelves. alphabetizing colorful covers. rewinding VHS's. checking that videos match their boxes. i could have my own staff picks section and recommend people horror films. netflix you bastards you took it from me

#i mean it would've been DVDs but i like to imagine VHSs bc they're more fun to handle 😌💭
