Stop throwing Black trans women under the bus because you feel like hypervisibility = privilege. Like, we can talk about the performative shit white queers do without acting like Black trans women are somehow privileged for constantly having their murders brought up as a talking point, In fact, many Black trans women online are literally already talking about it! Many Black trans women have expressed frustration at being reduced to a statistic. Many Black trans women have spoken at length about how their donation posts get less traction than their funeral fundraising gofundmes. And you'd know that if you spent time looking at them as people and some not oppressors for some shit they can't control, didn't ask for, and results in them being dehumanized and reduced to a number. It's not a privilege to be reminded that people pay more attention to you dead than alive. Nobody takes "white person has acknowledged your suffering" as payment for HRT. You can shout "Black trans women are being murdered!" "Arm the dolls!" and "Protect our sisters!" at the top of your lungs but you also gotta show up when it matters. People can't eat and sleep in words.

If you care about Black trans women. Don't ignore them when they need help then turn around and reblog news stories that deadname them a year later.

I never actually intended to post about this project, but in short bursts, I've slowly been working on a little story that's essentially a small self indulgent love letter to my younger self's love for Jayfeather and how I'd made OCs to ship with him as a kid because I thought he was cool and related to his struggles a lot at that time.

I'm cringe but I'm free, and I like paying respect to my past phases, especially ones that helped me through some rough times

It just started as me writing out this delawed character from a group outside of the clans that met him, and had an interesting dynamic filtered through a rocky start between the clans and this small newfound cat colony that has such a different culture and customs compared to them.

But like. The concept slowly spiraled out of control into me essentially building a whole new cat society from scratch, and I'm considering possibly posting about it here- We'll see. If there's any interest in it, I might just write up a full post on the Night Colony- LMAO
