CAN YOU STAND THE RAIN?
JJK MEN X FEM!READER
WARNINGS: JJK men yearning, implied smut, mention of depression
SYNOPSIS: The JJK guys will stop at nothing to love you.
A/N: 80’s-90’s RnB is where it’s at, i’m sorry sza, i’m sorry jhene!!!!🙏🏾
GOJO SATORU
Since the first time Gojo saw you, he knew it was time to lose the playboy careless act that he portrayed so well in college. His friends stared in shock as they witnessed Satoru actually go into a shop and buy flowers. It was the same flowers each time, white roses. And he’d bring those flowers to your door.
Unfortunately, you rejected him time and time again, having an aching feeling that he was only doing this to get in your bed. But after four months (give or take), you realised that maybe Satoru was serious.
You’re glad you took that chance as you wouldn’t be laid up next to your now husband, half naked with the sun gleaming on your beautiful bodies. The island you guys were on for your honeymoon was too exotic and eye-catching that you forgot the name. But as Satoru peppers kisses all over your neck, you realise you could never forget the feeling he gives you.
GETO SUGURU
You met Suguru after Mimiko and Nanako took their first class at the kindergarten you worked at. Not only was it their first day as a student, but this was your first day as a teacher. So, you weren’t expecting Suguru to ask for your number.
Or rather his girls. Suguru was too shy so the girls ran up to you and asked on his behalf.
Much to Geto’s dismay, you had a boyfriend. But that didn’t stop him from making sure you saw his face five times a day, dropping and picking up his girls.
So once after a long day at work, he asked if you wanted to go to the café to which you agreed. It was there you told him how your boyfriend cheated on you and you had no idea what to do. It was agonisingly hard to hide his smile but Suguru was the shoulder you cried on. And his bed would also be the one you slept on that night.
It’s safe to say that you enjoy the presence of Suguru and his daughters much more than your ex. After all, he wouldnnt gift you an apartment key for nothing.
NANAMI KENTO
If walls could talk, they’d talk about how Nanami Kento spends probably all 168 hours in his study completing paperwork. He wasn’t like his friends, clubbing and settling down. Girlfriends? What’s that?! Babies? Never heard of them.
If it didn’t bring him money, it was sort of a disinterest to him.
That was before he saw you at a meeting. Yes, you were a member of the rival company. But the way your skirt exposed those lustrous legs and your demeanour during the meeting was what enticed him the most.
So what if you were apart of the company that was direct competition to his? That’s where Nanami realised there weren’t blurred lines with his work and his personal life.
That fateful night, as you’d call it, was where Nanami saw you trying to fix your car after a gruelling meeting. There was a storm and you were completely soaked and it was just your luck that your car wouldn’t start. You were about to call an uber before a voice spoke behind you.
“Do you want a lift?” Nanami said. And the rest was history.
TOJI FUSHIGURO
Toji was toxic. That was the very reason you divorced him. Yes, you wedded that man twice deeming that loving him and keeping your family together was much more important.
However, you knew Toji wasn’t at fault. His family, his upbringing, they were all factors leaving to his constant negative attitude. And after his first wife died, Toji felt there was nothing to life anymore. Even with his blessing, Toji was greatly depressed at only the age of 25.
And then he met you, the ‘apple of his eye’ he calls you. You guys got married within a month of meeting, which was probably a mistake. You hardly knew him but you didn’t care, you felt love.
That’s when the cracks started to show, Toji was multifaceted. Loving you and whispering sweet nothings into your ear whilst he’s deep inside you one day and having a scream match the next.
His heart still breaks when he remembers you saying that you weren’t happy. Especially when he remembers the positive pregnancy test in your hands.
So, that was the first divorce. Monday to Friday with you and weekends with dad. The kids hated it so much. Megumi wanted nothing more than his dad to just say sorry for whatever he did and have his family under one roof.
And step by step, Toji got into your good graces, and in your bed. He sat you down and explained how he went to therapy and he’s healing, and that he couldn’t do it without you. A sigh left your lips before you jumped on him, kissing him passionately.
Oh, and save the date, you guys were getting married in the next year, again.

✎ᝰ — music hcs on my fav spider folks <3

♡⃕ — genre + warnings: fluff + no warnings
♡⃕ — a/n: thank you to @4kh + @cutenote for helping me outtt 🫶🏽
꒰ MILES MORALES ꒱
Ꮺ miles’ music taste would be a vast range of rnb, trap, hip hop, jazz, spanish, and any and everything connecting to his culture and he’s not picky with what to listen to tbh
Ꮺ I don’t believe miles has a favorite genre or set standard of what he listens to, it just genuinely depends on what his mood is or what he has on repeat at the moment. generally, it’s a song that he found from tiktok or a leaked song that he found on soundcloud. speaking of, miles has no shame using soundcloud as a streaming service
Ꮺ but miles does have a set genre for each part of his day or whatever activity he is doing. If he’s getting ready and on his way to school, some 90s rnb or 90s hip hop; when doing homework, he plays jazz music or some chill spanish music; during his drawing time, he’ll put on some chill trap music or try to find an album that connects with what he wants to draw
Ꮺ miles is very open-minded to his music taste so he’s not really one to say no to a specific genre. now there were definitely some albums he wasn’t a fan of, but he will explore the artist of that album. he usually gives artists another try, even if their recommended album wasn’t the…best
Ꮺ miles is definitely one to collect vinyls, especially old-school ones, he has them plastered around his room and some sitting in a bin. jeff gifted him a record player so the vinyls wouldn’t be collecting dust and so that they could both enjoy the music on jeff’s off days
Ꮺ miles has a playlist for like…everything, and I mean everything. he has a drawing playlist, a spiderman playlist, a playlist for gwen (don’t tell anyone), a playlist for when he’s overthinking, a playlist to change clothes, a playlist to brush his teeth, even playlists for his favorite tv shows. listen, this boy is very much so obsessed with music
Ꮺ he shares his love of music with his parents as well! I do believe rio is more open to his music suggestions than jeff. however, jeff can be more open to mile’s favorite artists, it will take him a while though. whenever it’s a quiet moment in the morales home, they let music play as the day goes
꒰ GWEN STACY ꒱
Ꮺ I do believe gwen is less open to music suggestions than miles is. like miles is very expressive with music while gwen isn’t
Ꮺ on a day-to-day basis, gwen plays 90s rock music or 2000s pop punk. she doesn’t really go by her emotions, but more like whatever song is stuck in her head at the moment
Ꮺ I believe that gwen was a major pop girl and was very in tune with the pop girls of her early ages, but later shifted into the punk/rock category. a couple of avril lavigne songs and that girl is screaming teen angst at 4 a.m
Ꮺ also gwen has a heavy liking for indie/alt music ! she likes her underground artists or artists that can combine other genres easily. she also has a love for artists like tv girl, girl in red, and frank ocean
Ꮺ technically, gwen would explore the sub-genres of punk and rock but doesn’t dwell for too long. She doesn’t mind heavy metals but prefers not to listen to them all the time, wouldn’t wanna shatter her eardrums since she’s spider woman
Ꮺ she also listened to a lotttt of female artists and female groups, and she’s a huge fan of girl groups! but I think she’s more into the older groups like spice girls, pussycat dolls, etc. I do think she would be into kpop girl groups and would be into ones that make like bubblegum pop or “noise music”
Ꮺ she has certain artists that she can never get tired of and also some artists that she prefers that no one knows she listens to
꒰ HOBIE BROWN ꒱
Ꮺ now hobie is all around when it comes to music, he’s just about on the same level as miles tbh
Ꮺ hobie isn’t embarrassed about any genre that he listens to. so yes, he doesn’t mind getting laughed at for liking country music
Ꮺ now hobie is very big on music that was pioneered by black people, which makes him love genres like country and rock even more. he can never get over how much music is curated by, and usually for, black folks
Ꮺ now hobie is always gonna give his flowers to artists that he loves and shouts them out in interviews or moments when he’s caught on camera. also, whenever he’s asked what’s his favorite song at the moment, it never stays the same omg- one day he says alex isley and the next he says smino
Ꮺ on a daily, hobie listens to whatever he’s vibing out to at the moment. If he just finished a concert, of course he’s gonna keep the mood going and have rock playing; on a lazy day, some new school rnb; on the days of being spiderpunk, some trap music mixed with some old school hip hop; wash days would include jazz, indie/alt, and some rnb (old school and new school)
Ꮺ hobie has a playlist of recommendations for almost every important person in his life. he loves music and it makes his heart happy when he can share his love of music with others or enjoy watching people enjoy what he listens to
♡⃕ this been sitting in my drafts and somehow got the energy to write it ;p
♡⃕ I do love music and this is lowkey me just projecting my love for music onto one of my fav movies…anyways !
♡⃕ if you have more hcs on this, lemme know !

Top Albums Of 2024: #20 - #11
The second post of my albums of the year! The first post also exists!! More will follow!!! Now read on!!!!
#20. Fred Thomas - Window In The Rhythm
Indie rock
It’s been 6 years since his last proper album and much has changed regarding how much I bother with DiY indie, but I go back a long way with Fred and so I’ll always be excited when he brings a new record out. And all told, Window In The Rhythm is really very good! Most closely resembling 2015’s All Are Saved of his many previous albums, it consists of 7 largely lengthy art rock grinds that take the minutia of relationships and picks away at them remorselessly (there are one or two softer songs in there but most of it is pretty unforgiving stuff). The appropriately titled “Hours” is a bit of a drag but everything else here sounds fantastic and works very well for drifting away to on the grim winter afternoons. Given how the songs kinda melt into each other, I tend to engage with it all as a series of classic Fred set pieces, with my current faves being the way the gentle, ringing guitar arpeggios of "Season Of Carelessness" at first gradually and then suddenly give way to its fizzing, intense electronic coda, and also the bit in opener “Embankment” where Fred does his fast talking about 90s acts party piece, singing “I made you a tape - withthesamesquarepushersongonitfourtimes - but not in a row” and I know that my favourite indie dude is back for real.
#19. Aespa - Armageddon
K-pop
I tend to struggle to focus on k-pop - i can never remember who's who, partly a function of not being able to buy them here on CD - but mercifully Aespa did a cheap retail version of Armageddon and i've managed to give it more time than most things. And their first full length album turned out to be a game of two halves: the first five songs feature a harder, hip hop influenced sound, full of drama and flash but with a hint of Britney here and there, while the remainder takes a lighter, more girlish tone, with "Bahama" coming off like a kind of k-pop "Kokomo" (which is good, not bad like you think) while "Live My Life" goes full pop punk but with a characteristic, slightly restrained quality that makes it all the more charming. A strong debut and an entertainingly distinct calling card that'll make it easier for me to distinguish them from their peers from now on.
#18. Beabadoobee - This Is How Tomorrow Moves
Indie rock; Singer-songwriter
Bea’s third full album was recorded in LA with Rick Rubin and often seemed as in thrall to America as that would suggest, with the guitars rocked up for a 90s alt vibe and her accent set to a mid Atlantic twang. "Take A Bite" and "Beaches" were both terrific anthems that confirmed her status as burgeoning indie icon but it was her more delicate material that came off best, as "Girl Song" and "This Is How It Went" showcased her huge talent as a singer-songwriter of the old school mode.
#17. Doja Cat - Scarlet 2 CLAUDE
Rap; RnB
Last year’s Scarlet was a terrific album but one where its massive hits failed to carry it to general success. Continuing the era is a brave move but one suspects that this might be a final hurrah for Doja in the rap game before going back to paying the bills. The tone is similar on Scarlet 2 but perhaps a little more lowkey, with songs like "MASC" exuding a melancholy rarely seen on the more bravado infused OG record. But there’s still a lot of fun to be had here too, like on the poppier "OKLOSER" where Doja uses that cute, mocking voice that she does so well and takes it all to some hilariously petty places
#16. Taylor Swift - The Tortured Poets Department
Pop/rock
“How much sad did you think I had in me?” Taylor sings after about 20 minutes here and ngl, there’s quite a lot. Her 11th album has been divisive and understandably so: there’s a sense in which the Antonoff and Dessner partnerships feel a bit played out and its often lugubrious and downbeat tone can get a bit exhausting at times, especially when you tie in the 15 (count 'em!) bonus tracks (which I have mostly tended to avoid). But once you warm to its themes a little, Taylor is still a terrific songwriter and "I Can Do It With A Broken Heart", "But Daddy I Love Him" and the sparkling title track are among her best in what’s largely a strong set, at least til the occasionally lacklustre final third. At heart, TTPD knits together an engrossing narrative which plays on the loneliness of breaking up when yr the most famous woman in the world. Whether you have much sympathy for that is yr own call but for myself, I still think it’s pretty fascinating
#15. Remi Wolf - Big Ideas
Funk pop, rock
I came to Remi Wolf’s second album for the funk bangers but stayed for the hooky indie rock tunes too, at least after I’d gotten over how much i wanted there to be more funk bangers. The most immediate material here is definitely in her sunshine RnB pop style, with "Cinderella", "Pitiful" and "Frog Rock" being some of the catchiest songs I’ve heard all year. But, given time, the rockier "Alone In Miami" became a huge favourite too, with Remi’s diaristic lyricism adding a dimension beyond the hooks and riffing. Big Ideas is comfortable reaching across the stylistic spectrum, being the first record i've heard for a long time that takes in both Prince and Daniel Johnston as notable influences. In summary: there are two Wolfs within this album and both of them are good!
#14. Jessica Pratt - Here In the Pitch
Singer-songwriter; Folk pop; Retro
Her third album Quiet Signs felt a bit hazy and nebulous at times but Here In The Pitch returned to the strong melodies of Jess’s earlier material, a mid century pop record that frequently feels like a warm summer night somewhere in Latin America circa 1962. Tho it’s sometimes as minimal as its small hours vibe might suggest, Here In The Pitch contains plenty of pop energy, full of Spectorish rumble and swaying bossanovas as well as being as packed with hooks as any of this year’s big sellers. While the atmosphere does sometimes tend twds eeriness, Pratt's distinctive babyvoiced coo always feels welcoming on an album where she sounds like she's really enjoying herself.
#13. Tyler the Creator - Chromakopia
Rap; Hip Hop
I’ve never managed to connect much with Tyler before but Chromakopia really blew me away. I'm a sucker for the kind of upbeat funk and soft soul beats that he tends to use here, but his extremely in yr face, percussion heavy approach is also a big draw and the way this album comes at you right out of the gate is hugely impressive. Lyrically, there’s some of the usual bragging that I’d expect but Tyler also gets into the kind of awkward personal and moral quandaries that make up life's grey areas too. Songs like "Hey Jane" and "Take Your Mask Off" have a real depth of character to them, exploring issues like unwanted pregnancy and personal disillusionment in a thoughtful way that doesn't look for neat answers.
#12. Lizzy McAlpine - Older
Singer songwriter; Folk-rock; Retro
Lizzy’s third album, while coherent enough in its focus, finds her stylistically split between a Laura Marling type singer songwriter vein and something more obviously retro focused. In all truth Older is rarely a cheerful record - a young woman’s odyssey thru a time of change type of thing - but it is beautifully rendered, either in rich Fleetwood Mac-esque arrangements or spare, delicate solo accompaniments which reinforce the desperation at its heart. I’ve struggled a little with some of the final third, where the backing tends to drop to a bare minimum and that’s probably kept this out of the top 10 here. But the strength of the melodies and the real character and power of her delivery are getting me now to a point where I’m more consistently enjoying all of it: it’s just the kind of record where some parts of it take a little longer to come into full focus than others. This sort of folky, soul bearing singer songwriter is not always the kind of thing that i can get along with but, far more than most albums of its kind, Older is an absolute gem.
#11. Halsey - The Great Impersonator
Pop/rock
The Great Impersonator was largely inspired by Halsey’s struggles with life threatening illness and much has been made of her “main character syndrome” by some, regarding the way she places her fears and trials at the centre of the record. In truth it can feel quite jarring at times - and occasionally exhausting - but what it actually made me think of is the way that I, as someone with long term disabling illness, often don’t bring things up, in fact make myself small and don’t talk about the basics of my life, for fear of not being heard or accommodated. So when Halsey talks about her issues here, then it really does feel genuinely moving to hear someone making that space for herself and refusing to be silent.
None of this would matter much if The Great Impersonator sucked but - lucky for us - it’s absolutely fantastic. The multi-decade concept feels a bit hard to parse but generally you can just ignore it and focus on the songs, a clash of genres to rival her masterpiece Manic but with an even greater depth of emotional turmoil to draw upon. Aside from illness, there are the usual self hating bangers like "Ego", and a mix of the two is often welcome too: “Dog Years” especially bristles with fury as Ashley growls “they say all dogs go to Heaven / well, what about a bitch?” and indeed the record is well stocked with good one liners throughout. It's fair to say that the consistently downbeat focus can make for a grim listen and also that the returning "Letter To God" songs can come off as a bit repetitive and boring. But there’s sweetness here too as well as harsh reality - especially on the glorious, featherlight title track - and I suspect a bit more time with this would have shunted it into the top 10.
And that Top 10 is coming soon! i have actually written the posts! Maybe starting tomorrow! Bye for now!

My first* ranking of The Great Impersonator
*'Cause I'll definitely revisit this as time goes on!
Here's my current ranking of TGI, from favorite to least-favorite, with a tiny blurb of my thoughts for each.
Dog Years - This one really sunk its teeth in me. I love the metaphor, as brutal as it is. I love the dumb B+ and O blood type pun in the first verse. I can't get over the Jagger reference, for some reason, it's a real knife twist. The vocals suit the lyrics so well. It's bitter, heartbreaking, but stands out from the rest of the album because it sounds kind of sultry and cool the way other Halsey works do. It's a perfect blend of what makes this album, and Halsey's writing in general, so good.
Lonely is the Muse - When this song came out, I knew it would become one of my favorite Halsey songs of all time. That didn't change with the full album release. I love moody, dark, slightly goth Halsey. The fact that Evanescence/Amy Lee was the inspiration for this one gives it major bonus points, too. Long before Halsey entered the scene, Amy Lee was my first real obsession. I love the lyricism here, especially in the bridge/final verse. The way this song builds up until she's basically screaming at the end - sooo good, gives me goosebumps. I hope I get to see this one live some day.
Alice in the Upper Class - I have to reiterate that I'm SO mad this song isn't available on streaming. This is a really fun, chaotic rock song. Feels like being manic, in the best way possible. I love the lyrics, the beat, the guitars. I hope it comes out on streaming soon!
Arsonist - I had a feeling we might get some really juicy break-up songs that are probably about Alev. She went for his fucking throat. I also just love the vibe of this one. I think they nailed the Fiona Apple homage, I would've made that comparison anyway even if I hadn't seen the IG post. And haven't we all know an arrogant, narcissistic asshole who just wants to burn your life down?
Letter to God (1998) - All of the Letter to God songs are beautiful, and I think they're best examined as a trio. But if I had to pick my favorite, it's 1998. It's the culmination of the concept, and it's just a really sweet, heartbreaking song. I love that it's about her son. And the way she pleads with God is so desperate and heartfelt. I also just love the way it sounds. Really does remind me of some soft pop/rnb from the late 90s.
Life of the Spider (Draft) - I didn't think we would ever get a song that was more raw and personal than "More". This song is an aching, gaping, open wound. I'm almost surprised they released it. It's bitingly honest and so, so sad. How could someone have made her feel this way, when she was so sick? It makes me angry. But the song itself is so beautiful and so gut-wrenching.
Hurt Feelings - Probably one of the more relatable songs on the album, especially for those of us with daddy issues. The chorus is so sweet and refreshing. There's a quiet defiance in this song that I really like. Halsey hasn't really written extensively about their childhood or family before this album - except on "I forgive you" but that's unreleased so we don't count it. I was surprised at how honest they are about their struggles growing up on this album.
The End - Where this era started, for us. It's a very sad song, but I think I hear the sweetness in it now, more so than when it was a separate single from the album. It's vulnerable and soft. I love how their voice sounds, the layered harmonies, and the guitar melody. It's a warm blanket on a rainy day.
The Great Impersonator - This is another one where she really nailed the inspiration - Bjork. I love her voice, she's singing in ways she normally doesn't, which is fun. And the lightness of this song, while it's still sad, is much appreciated after how heavy the previous songs are. It feels tongue-in-cheek, a little flippant, but in a good way. Halsey has always had a sense of humor about themself, and I think this and "Ego" are the two songs on the album that feature that humor the most.
Only Living Girl in LA - I think this is a perfect introduction to the album. It also doesn't feel six minutes long, which is crazy. It goes on a journey, which is something I love in a song, and I really like the weird little production elements. All the background noises, extra voices, etc. Plus that "this is Halsey St" line immediately after the lyric that she has no name - love it. And the ending is really powerful.
Darwinism - Their voice sounds sooo gorgeous, ethereal, but I'm not big on the lyrics. Weirdly enough, on an album of almost painfully specific and personal references, I find the lyrics to be a little generic. It definitely resembles a Bowie song, though. I love the way it sounds, the composition and production are beautiful. It's one I think I can listen to more casually because the lyrics don't stab me directly in the heart. The "you all know something that I don't" bridge is haunting, though.
Ego - Turns out this is the most fun song on the album, especially without AITUC! I love the self-deprecating lyricism, and it's a fun little bop. I think it's actually pretty weak compared to the rest of the album, but it's a very fun radio song and great as a single. I like it more if I separate it from the album itself.
Letter to God (1974) - I really like how messy this one feels, how you can hear Halsey's producer (I think?) instructing the musicians on when to come in. How muted her vocals are. It feels like an interlude, which is part of why it rates a little lower. But it also starts the story of this trio of songs, and I think it sets really important context for 1983 and 1998.
Letter to God (1983) - I did see someone say that each version of Letter to God represents different versions of Halsey - child Ashley, Halsey as a performer, and Halsey now/as a mother. This is the performer version, and I do like it. But, much like 1974, it feels more like an interlude than a full song. It works best in the context of the other two. I also love the little reference to "Hurricane" in the first verse, talking about moving to Brookyln and a boyfriend with track marks.
I Believe in Magic - This song is really sweet. It's very telling to compare the song Halsey wrote for their mom versus the song they wrote for their dad, lol. But I think the production and instrumentals are a little boring, and I don't relate to the lyrics very much.
Hometown - This song is cute, but it doesn't do much for me. If it wasn't a Halsey song, I might not listen to it. I love the storytelling aspect, and I also like the "oooohs" after the chorus. It's just not my favorite genre and I don't think Halsey is strongest in it.
Lucky - I can finally admit that I've never really liked this song, lmfao. I think the concept is so, so good. The video was brilliant. And the Y2K Tiktok blitz was very fun, if a little long. But I just don't really like the song very much. I like that she made a very, very sad bubblegum pop song, but I don't enjoy bubblegum pop very much.
I Never Loved You - I'm not a huge fan of the production or the lyrics. Just doesn't hit me very hard. There are some good lines for sure, but overall I just find it kind of boring, especially compared to the rest of the album. And it feels very toothless when compared to the other songs that she (seemingly) wrote about Alev. Maybe it's not about him, Idk. Or maybe she wrote this song later in time, when they were a little more healed about it.
Panic Attack - This is the only song I've had a hard time getting through on the entire album. It's catchy. I get it. And I love the delivery of "you make me fucking nervous" and the pre-chorus is good. I do not like the rest of this song at all. I had a feeling that'd be true the moment we got the very first snippet of it.
Final thoughts!
I think there's a slightly shorter version of this album that I would have enjoyed more. That being said, some of the songs I would've cut act as moments of relief and respite on an otherwise very painful and heavy album. So they serve a purpose on the album itself, even if I'm not a huge fan of them personally.
But I don't think I will go out of my way to listen to Hometown, I Never Loved You, Lucky, I Believe in Magic, or Panic Attack very much.
The rest of the album is absolutely incredible though. Halsey has grown so much as a songwriter, storyteller, and vocalist. I see what they mean about this being Manic 2.0, or Manic with Badlands confidence. It's like Manic's older, wiser sister.
I do think I might continue to struggle with how sad it is. I love sad music, but I need to be in the right mindset for it. I can't put this album on casually the way I can the others. That might be less true over time, as the initial sting/shock of how personal and painful this album is wears off, but for right now, there are some songs that I'll have to avoid if I'm already feeling sad.
I'm so glad Halsey was able to make this record. It must have been very cathartic and therapeutic. And the fact that they were still around to make it at all is a miracle. I'm really excited to see a lot of these live, and curious about what the other bonus tracks will look like.
That's all for now!

FLO || Access All Areas
It's very clear from the album cover that this is going to be a throwback to late 90s/early 00s RnB, and that is exactly what you will get when listening to the album. With just enough Britishness coming through to give it it's own unique vibe. The vocals are strong, the harmonies are tight, and the hooks are catchy. You couldn't really ask for much more.

This migraine has been going on for a week. Plus I was really sick from the rain. I feel like a lot had added up to fuck up my immune system, which is really rare because my health is always on point. I have been doing things to keep my calm like watching a show that I never got to finish, which is healing my inner-pre-teen and listening to 90's rnb. I like taking myself back on a "Back To The Past" rocketship. It's such a good feel. Unfortunately there are some dark times and of course the music I would listen back then is taking me back. River Flows In You. LuvSic pt1-4. Have You Ever? At Your Best You Are Loved. Feather.
Every now and then I think of you and everyone else. I feel guilty for so many things. I wish I could I say sorry to your family and our friends. I did a shitty job holding us altogether. I was really dumb back then, but I do thank you and the others during that time to accept me when I didn't know who I was. I was a total embarrassment during those times and was not there for you and everyone. I left. I think about every now and then. It doesn't help when there is an anime that is a pretty close to our friendship story but we never got together. I loved that anime but it's painful to watch again because I think of all of us. We were all so tight and now we are all total strangers. I blame myself. I ran away. I didn't know how to react. All the emotions were new to me. I had no idea how to react to be honest. I wanted a new life and move on. I hurt many people through that process. Now that I'm older and I think about it every now and then, I know I was very wrong. I wish I knew better during that time. What I can say is that I learned how to keep my circle tight as after because of you and everyone in our old friend group. During those times I know I was very annoying, hyperactive, and very much in my own world. I regret not expressing to you, him, your parents, his parents, and everyone how much I appreciated everyone. Honestly I wouldn't be the person who I am today if it wasn't for you and everyone. Life is painful and beautiful, huh? I just hope everyone is doing well. The music I would listen on my mp3 takes me back to you guys. I know it's a regret I have deep down. I haven't visited your house or your grave since you that year. I have seen your relatives who definitely saw me. One of them was trying to get my attention a few years back, but I ignored them so hard. I ignored everyone because I knew I failed them during those dark times. I also ran because I was part of that heartbreak. That Mikki only knew how to escape. She never had a safe place before, which is why she was always moving and not letting anyone get in her way. I cringe every time I think back of what I did. However, I am me because of all of that. I wouldn't be here because of what I learned. This is a frequent thought. Because of you and everyone, I cherish what I have. I cherish the people in my life. I say "I love you more" to everyone. I take accountable of everything I do. I'm wiser. I'm braver. I'm emotional. I'm head-on. I don't run away anymore. I'm mellow. I'm more mature. I'm pretty sure your family hates me but I don't blame them. In one way or another I want to give back because you and everyone treated me like family. I will never forget that. Again, thank you and everyone. I hope you're okay with your family up there. I always think about you. I know I can't go back in the past and apologize to everyone who I wronged and disappointed, but I will carry on and continue to be the better person who I am today than my yesterdays. I can't believe 16 years has passed. I love you so much, E. In another world, it would be like Ano Hana.

So what is actually y2k? Because when I look it up it gives me the y2k problem when people thought the computers were going to crash. Which made me go huh then what is the y2k aesthetic? And if possible could you give examples of groups that are doing it whether it's their own spin on it or the more traditional ish way? I delved into the y2k rabbit hole and I'm realizing it's more than low rise jeans and tank tops so I'm shook 😳
please know that i've never felt older than i have in this moment reading this for the first time slfjskkflslfjfjnfnesmmsk.
so the 'y2k aesthetic' had been a term that's evolved out of the nostalgic cycle return of fashion from the late 90s to the mid-ish 2000s. 'y2k' as a term itself means 'year two thousand' (k is shorthand for thousand) and the original y2k does indeed refer to the incoming computer crash that was thankfully avoided in 1999, but in later years has come to be used as a delineating adjective for anything surrounding that specific era.
as far as fashion goes, it's hard to give a precise definition of what was the actual 'typical y2k' fashion because there was pretty wide range of changes and a couple of different subcultures that were prominent influences. most famously and distinctively is probably scene, which is the direct ancestor of eboy/girl fashion, but also there was surfer chic (pukka shell necklaces, tribal tattoos, bleached tips, wearing board shorts to non-swim related functions), skate punk, an obsession with oversized denim and oversized clothing in general, whatever you wanna call the lisa frank aesthetic, and whatever you wanna call whatever was going on with ed hardy, like blingy tattoo chic? i dunno, i don't think anyone can explain that one. this was also the start of the heyday of the branded sportwear trend, popularized by black hiphop and rnb artists starting in the early 90s and continuing up until now, basically. the other thing that i need to stress, as someone who lived through this, is that a lot of it was UGLY. the 'y2k aesthetic' of now has taken the best and most flattering bits of it an combined them with contemporary trends to make everything look good to modern eyes, but the reality of wearing clothes in the 2000s was that shit was just ugly. there were such a messy conglomerate of trends, plus an 'ideal' body type of heroin chic (yes that was actually what it was called) meant that popular styles like lowrise jeans were miserable for anyone who was vaguely normal shaped. also extra long spaghetti strap tank tops are flattering on nobody. it was a profoundly unflattering era for everyone, and it's important to remember that no current version of it truly captures how bad it was, because if it did, it would not have been revived by all these tiktokers obsessed with 'aestheticizing' everything.
the most obvious examples in kpop are sunmi's you can't sit with us, which is quite literally a mean girls (2004) reference, but also is referential to the popularity of zombie media at the time (shawn of the dead also came out in 2004, the walking dead started airing in 2010). the highly maximalist 'bedroom' set has a bunch of 2000s tech (including the coloured imac g3, which is the computer i learned how to type on) in it and is very much on trend with how girls' bedrooms looked at the time.
youtube
another example is jeon somi's dumb dumb, which hilariously came out at the same time, and ALSO has a mean girls reference, although this one plays more on high school media tropes than specific y2k trends, but bc i was in school in that era that tends to be an unconcious association.
youtube
yena's smartphone also uses a lot of y2k visuals in the styling, in particular the heavy hair accessories, but it combines them with a modern slant.
youtube
of course there's also all of newjeans content, which is very explicitly based in a medley of teen y2k aesthetics, but their most true to life styling is probably the one from their fact music awards performance, which pretty authentically hows how much of a mess the era actually was:
youtube
aespa also uses a lot of y2k ideas in their mvs; life's too short features the same bubblegum pink teen girl bedroom idea that shows up in both sunmi and somi's mvs, very obviously is their remake of dreams come true, which is literally an s.e.s song from 1998. but also i'm going to argue that girls has the same energy as early tvxq mvs with the high contrast dramatic colour grading and incredible weird pseudo scene fashion.
for the guys there's less obvious examples, because men's fashion doesn't have as frequent trend indicators, and because pretty much ALL bg fashion is in some way traces back to y2k trends in the first place.
the clearest example is probably enhypen's blessed cursed, which quite literally references y2k (the event) IN the mv, and keeps relatively closely to the popular silhouettes of the time: oversized pants, sportswear, large jewelry, those round sunglasses. and also it uses fisheye lens shots, which were SUPER common in mvs at the time
youtube
there's also the original kpop it boy kangta's mcountdown eyes on you stage, which is so unbelieveably late 90s that if you put the video down to 240p i would have thought it was FROM 1999. stylist whoever made this choice do you want to make out:
youtube
it's shown up in some other places as well, including the recent sungkyu photoshoot with the very oversized denim:
and also in the recent promo photos from sm winter palace, which seems to be taking a messy vaguely winter themed stab at styling that i am thoroughly enjoying:
#basically fashion from the 2000s can be summed up as: rhinestones. plaid. denim. camouflage and fake fur#kpop questions#kpop styling#tbh there's too many examples but like billlie's ring ma bell was very avril lavigne inspired#guerrilla had a lot of skate punk influence#brand new had a bit of it also#its all over the place rn in different incarnations#nostalgia cycles happen in 20-50-70-100yr cycles. so now that we're in the 2020s we're seeing stuff come back from the 00s/70s/50s/20s#but also most 20th century western popular fashion is very interconnected so lots of trends are referential anyways#text#answers#god this made me feel so old writing up#like what do you mean that people dont know that apple bottom jeans and boots with fur were real trends

3tan Yoongi gives Channing Tatum from Step Up vibes. Don't know why but he does. And since it's been implied that 3tan is set in the early 2000s I can safely assume the XXL shirt with the even bigger long sleeve underneath it is a Yoongi staple. Low-top, white Air Maxes and/or some white K-Swiss classics are the ideal shoe. Backward hats. We know he's a chain man already but is his watch game there, too? He gives off G-Shock energy. Thinks visors are DISGUSTING (as he should) but doesn't mind a puka shell necklace. BUMPS Timbaland. In Da Club makes him feel himself. Very early 2000s things lol
Lex
Oh my GOD. Lex!!😳 The imagery the fits the 00s vibes I’m crying the nostalgia hit so hard….😭 This is set in the present but I’ve just been saying that my overall music vibe for the series is 90s/00s hip-hop/rnb! Like that’s what 3tan yoongi and them listened to growing up. It’s set in present-day, though💕
But seriously I can definitely see Yoongi having a lot of these. His watch game is like.. sometimes? He’ll wear them if he wants, but he doesn’t wear them as much as bro does.
#the 3tan playlists align with this too!#i love this whole ask😭#Lex!#asks:3tan#3fan:yoongi#*ryenfictalk#mailbox💌

Top 10 Most Underrated K-pop Songs of 2021 (Artist Edition)
Many wonderful songs by K-Pop artists helped us get through the shit show of 2021.
Continuing with the K-Pop Timeout Tradition (see 2020 Ver) of listing the Top 10 Most Underrated K-Pop Songs because all the other sites are just bothered with the Top 10 that pretty much everyone will have heard of/have fan wars over, below are our top 10 picks of songs that did not rank high (and with MVs just AROUND OR BELOW 1 MILLION VIEWS too) but deserves your attention!
This is the list for artists’ tracks, so the Top 10 underrated non-idol tracks. Click here for the Top 10 underrated idol tracks of 2021.
Some of the non-idol artists have escaped the list in recent years to stardom (for example DPR LIVE, CRUSH and GEMINI) so hopefully, it happens again!
This is in alphabetic order NOT in the order of awesomeness because all of them are awesome.
CHANHYUN - TELEVISION
This song straight-up sounds like a 80s-90s Korean Drama OST jam, with a sexy saxophone intro to boot. Like you can envision this blasting in the background of "Reply 1988" as the leads look lovingly at each other. Given how such OSTs are usually very popular in South Korea, it is surprising that Chanhyun's song with similar vibes and delivered beautifully by him (he completely encapsulated the enunciation of singers of that time period) has LESS THAN 4,000 VIEWS at the time of writing this post. Go check it out if you love 80-90s style K-Pop!
youtube
DAVII “Fever” ft. Blue.D
DAVII truly never misses but South Korea and even many international fans continue to sleep on him like he is a prime memory foam mattress. Back with his signature jazzy and sexy sound, this time he is joined by smoky voice vocalist Blue.D, who was stuck in the YG basement until she escaped to form her label in 2021. And these two underrated crooners delivered one of the best duets of the year...with less than 20,000 views at the time of writing this post. If you love alternative RnB duets, you really need to give this a listen.
youtube
Hoppipolla “Your Ocean”
After a few sexy recommendations, we are slowing it down for a sad boy ballad. Hoppipolla's "Your Ocean" is emotional and pulls at your heart strings because of the simple and empty feeling the clean vocals creates along with the piano, cello and electric guitar create. The winners of JTBC's survival show Superband in 2019, the band name was taken from the Sigur Rós song of the same name meaning “jumping into puddles” in Icelandic. And indeed, listening to this song, you feel yourself jumping into a puddle of feels, like you are a K-Drama lead who just went through a heart-wrenching breakup. This song barely passed 1 million views and deserves more love for this perfect execution. If you want to experience your own K-Drama dramatic heartbreak moment, play this song on a rainy day.
youtube
레인보우노트 (Rainbow note) "얘얘 (YEAH YEAH)"
Okay, there were clearly many retro throwbacks this year and many that caught our eyes and perked our ears because here is another one making our underrated recommendations list. But instead of a more mature romantic mood that CHANHYUN's "TELEVISION" creates, "얘얘 (YEAH YEAH)" screams first love in high school between some clumsy af female lead and some idol type male lead. This has to be one of the cutest 90s energy K-Pop songs of the year. Of recent shows, I can think of this working well in "Hospital Playlist" as a soundtrack, probably for the Ikjun and Seonghwa loveline and during a cute flashback...yet it has less than 12,000 views at the time of writing this post. If you love some cutesy old-school vibes, this is the song for you!
youtube
SUMIN "Love is Strange" ft. Qim Isle
Yo, SUMIN did not produce for BTS, Red Velvet, BoA, EXO and Brown Eyed Girls for you guys to sleep on her like this. LESS THAN 60,000 VIEWS ARE YOU KIDDING ME. Especially when she is making such great quirky and experimental pop music. I don't know how to explain it in more simple terms except call it "alien music that is very lit" (for those into late 90s-2000s electronic music, this gives The Chemical Brothers kind of energy but with a modern K-Pop twist). If you like to listen to something more electronic and different, you have to check out this song.
youtube
Susan “Eros”
This song is a VIBE. It starts off with very simple guitar chords but is joined by classy RnB-style beats and synth loops to create a charming alternative soul track. To be honest, I do not know much about Susan until this track but it makes me want to get to know her and her music a lot more and why she only got less than 35,000 views here. Her super dreamy sound is reminiscent of Syd from the hip-hop collective Odd Future and alternative band The Internet as well as little dashes of early Jorja Smith. If you are into alternative soul and RnB, you would love Susan's "Eros"!
youtube
TAEWOO "hitmeup"
How does this song have LESS THAN 10,000 VIEWS?? This song sounds like a British alt-rock song, due to the electric guitar, drum set loop and the grainy-effect used to process the vocals as well as the melancholy undertone which seems to thread the song from start to finish. People who listen to The Smiths, Keane and more recently Kodaline know what I am talking about. "hitmeup" does not sound exactly like any one of the artists I have just listed but somehow like a combination of all of them - if that makes sense. If you want to listen to some alt-rock sad boy music, this is the song for you!
youtube
VINXEN “DON’ NEED”
There has been many great hip-hop songs this year from South Korea but this is definitely one of the most unique ones. This is a funky hip-hop jam with great use of autotune and the electronic guitar and drum set, sounding like Post Malone-kind of music mixed with Woodie Gochild-style vocals and vibes. Hence, it is odd this song has just around 160,000 views at the time of writing this post. You would have expected more attention on VINXEN, since he did finish as 3rd place in Mnet's High School Rapper Season 2 but it seems like the world is still sleeping on his talent. If you like rock-influenced rap, you would love this song!
youtube
YONGYONG(용용) "HE'S GONE" feat. Jayci Yucca
Rapper YONGYONG collabs with fellow rapper Jayci Yucca in a catchy performance with dashes of 2000s punk-rock energy. This whole song sounds like an OST for a coming of age kind of show like KBS' long-running "School" series - there is longing, there is angst, there is the smooth and edgy alternative sound that young people enjoy. Seriously, why does this collab only have less than 350,000 views at the time of writing this post? Honestly someone get YONGYONG to do an actual OST for a coming of age show because all her past outings sound perfect for these shows. If you like youthful pop and punk-rock, like early Avril Lavigne and Paramore, but with a more K-RnB and hip-hop twist to it, you should really check out this song!
youtube
Youra “MIMI”
Youra just has her OWN SOUND. Like it is dark, yet soft and distant, walking the fine line between something secretly sinister and a relaxing adventure. Her MVs also share the same comforting yet also somewhat discomforting and strange energy. She is like the soft girl version of BIBI - her voice is unique and dark but carefully restrained, mysterious and inviting. Yet most of her songs are underrated and relatively unknown. For example, "MIMI" has only around 500,000 views at the time of writing this post. If you like experimental alternative and indie pop singers like OOHYO with the darker RnB elements of BIBI and Suran, you really need to listen to Youra!

Okay so I feel like I meant be in the minority but I actually really love normani’s single!! With the music video it gives Janet Jackson rnb vibes that I really love and it certainly is an improvement from motivation. I will say that I really hate the Cardi verse and I felt like Doja would have made so much more sense on this track! The Aaliyah sample was an interesting touch bcz it wasnt super obvious and worked well but my fear for this upcoming album is that it meant end be a bunch of reheated 90s rnb style tracks and it could get a little repetitive, I hope Normani goes for a more an “ungodly hour” style rnb album in that each track brings something distinct and different to the album and it never gets boring bcz unfortunately Normani has been in the game long enough and we got a little bored waiting for her… she’ll have to wow us! LMAOO sorry this was a lot
I really dig Wild Side as well! She looks great, sounds great and the visual looks EXPENSIVE. I love the fact that Normani dropped on the eve of the anniversary of Aaliyah’s self-titled album. That’s a nice way to pay an ode to her considering that the track samples OIAM beat. Which to me, is a bit of risky move considering how iconic that song and Aaliyah herself is, but I think she did a good job overall. I think you’d enjoy this if you’re into moodier RnB ala Janet Jackson’s Velvet Rope era, but it’s gonna be a hard sell to people who are into pop. However, I’m with you and didn’t care for Cardi’s verse at all. The song needed a rap feature to break it up but I thought they should have gotten someone less in you face like BIA or Dreezy. What Cardi was saying went with the song but the aggressive delivery didn’t really go with overall vibe.
I have a similar fear as you and if I’m being honest, idk if Normani has enough ~character~ to pull it off. 90s RnB was very simple at times and it took sass and sensuality to bring it to life. She’s def got the vocals for it but this is in the same ballpark as ‘Waves’ and that got old very quickly imo.
As a side note, am I the only one that’s kind of getting tired of the hyper-sexualisation of WOC, especially black women? And I’m not talking about that scene where Normani is dancing with herself (that was a tasteful and a clever ode to Debra Paget). I’m referring to that scene of her and Cardi rubbing against each other naked. Idk it didn’t feel very ~on brand~ for Normani, even if it did for Cardi

Happier Than Ever by Billie Eilish: live listen review
Not going into it with too many expectations.
Getting Older: I like the lyrics...kind of, um its not a bad song its just not doing it for me as an intro.
I didn't change my number: Love the beat and background vocal mixing but the forward vocals are very punchy in your face. The bass on the back end of this song is kind of insane in a good way. Finneas really be putting his entire foot in his production. This new genre twist ooo chile if he ever starts producing for rnb acts we may have a problem. I hate the abrupt end to the track.
Billie Bossa Nova: The guitar melody that frames the song is the same as Havana by Camilla Cabello. Billie's lyrics are a lost better than Havana in terms of story versus radio playability. That being said this has a lot of radio potential like if I could go back in time this would be on the Gap Playlist in 2005.
My Future: I thought there would be more blending or seamless transition into this song. It may have been there but it was very subtle. Would love to hear Snoh Alegra do a cover of this song. Still really like this song and the lofi inspirations behind it.
Oxytocin: Very reminiscent of the sound from Billie that everyone is used to hearing. Again Finneas be in that studio in his whole bag while making beats. This song is um lyrically....Billie is like I'm an adult y'all. Which technically she is, but the people around her and herself gotta be careful that she is still young. Anywho Billie is using men to her advantage this is pretty clear 🤷♀️. Her and Finneas should continue their recent journey of scoring for television and movies. If they ever get to fully score an entire episode of something or a short film I can only imagine that magic.
Goldwing: Billie has been practicing her falsettos and studying some of her favorite rnb singers. The syncopation of her vocals as the beat *chefs kiss*. This is my favorite song. (Was my favorite and then I heard overheated.)
Lost Cause: I'm not a huge fan of this song, it doesn't really do anything new for me. Its missing this umpf and I felt the same way when I saw the music video.
Halley's Comet: This is if Sarah Bareilles and Norah Jones had a baby. Really enjoying the subtle but very nice transition in this song and then the microphone effects on her voice. She fell in love you can hear it on this album. There is also what sounds like a bit of Beatles melody in the songwriting to me. Also you can hear her almost crying on every single line of the main part of this song.
Not my responsibility: This song has to be listened to with headphones. I think this is what was played during her concerts when she did the little reveal. I would not want the pressure she has at 19 to uphold this image while going through all the same stuff we all went through or go through at 19. This includes how we each deal with our own body image.
Overheated: This song really shows how Finneas and Billie bounce off one another. The lyrics are some of the best combination of radio play/replay-ability, and flow, on the album. It really follows the production queues of 90s rnb and early 00s pop where the beat and the lyrics build on one another. It even has a similar bubble like drum that Darkchild used a lot in the 00s but its more muffled under the stacked layers of production. Finneas really makes something sound more simple than it is because if you go into the breakdown of their songs its like over 40 lines of vocals alone at times with more drums and just layers upon layers.
Everybody Dies: Thanks for the depression reminder Billie. This is much more hopeful than her past tracks about depression though. It's like a "this to shall pass" song about depression.
Your Power: IS THIS THE SAME VERSION AS BEFORE? Yes it is haha. This song got so much more hate than it deserved like its really good. Also the mixing with over the ears is very full. It feels like you're in a room and the speakers are all facing you. Also, is it weird to say that a song feels warm because this song feels very warm.
NDA: This song is very honest because she is making people sign NDA's to protect herself. Which its a mess that you can't have a fling or one night stand at that level of success or fame because some people will use it against you. Yes this does make me think how much messy shit is being said or done in Hollywood but no one finds out because of non disclosure agreements. But, this isn't something young stars openly discuss that they do for protection and also so they don't get in trouble. Because unfortunately some people should probably have an NDA on themselves glares at a certain rapper.
Therefore I Am: Yesss the transitions are back !!! Also this song is a bop liked it even when it dropped as a single.
Happier Than Ever: this song is sad and happy and a mix of a lot BUT I would love to hear Billie run forward with a country rock album. The end of this song is so distorted and punchy like Paramore.
Male Fantasy: She's in her Lana era yall she's in her Lana era. Just kidding, but I wonder if Jack Antanoff is sitting here listening to this like 🤨. Yaknow Phoebe Bridgers writing with Billie would actually be super super cool. Phoebe and Co. (I.e. Julien and Lucy) along with Billie's breathiness, ooo thinking that would sound really good. Also the lyrics would physically hurt in a good way.
The album ends a bit too abruptly for my taste but I definitely give this a 3.8/4 out of 5 for sure.

Hello and welcome, my dearest Bri! AND ADVANCED HAPPY BIRTHDAY! Wish I could bake you a cake, but all I can do is send some love (੭*ˊᵕˋ)੭* Let’s get right to it then! ٩(◕‿◕。)۶
Look who we have here, hon!
Suna Rintarou! (Runner up: Kageyama Tobio)
Suna here has a really cold and icy demeanor, which I think has to be balanced out by outgoing people (like the Miya twins). He likes to act like this dark and brooding person, but deep down, he’s actually just a little gremlin like most of us.
- Okay okay, I know what you’re thinking. Yes, I already know that you’re a Suna stan, but I genuinely could not think of anybody who matches your personality description better, the two of you would just be *aggressive chefs kiss*
- I’m kinda getting an enemies-to-lovers-ish vibe with this dynamic, but also like a partners-in-crime-to-lovers type of deal. Either way, it’ll start out a little bit chaotic
- Has a crush on you immediately, I just KNOW it, but he won’t realize this until later on, and may even totally deny it to himself
- He doesn’t really know when exactly he starts catching feelings for you, but the realization probably hits him when he sees you going about your daily activities
- You could be doing any of your extra curriculars - basketball, track, or marching band - and he sees how much you enjoy it, or maybe even after you just said one of your random thoughts. Whatever makes him feel like he’s getting to know you a little bit better
- it’s when you laugh right after, and suddenly he feels like he’s just been spiked a ball in the face, and he just audibly goes ah shit.”
- Has no fucking clue what to do at first KDHFKSJHL someone pls help him!!!
- He ends up being a little awkward when he tries to do anything about it, and it’ll all just feel so unnatural HAHAH
- “Let me carry your bag” “No Rin it’s fine I can--” *pries your bag from your hands with way too much force*
- in his mind he’s like “Ah yes that went perfectly 😌”
- he tries to communicate his feelings in little ways like this, hoping you’ll catch on
- No, Suna Rintarou, poking fun at someone is not a declaration of love, but nice try!
- he’ll get so frustrated if you don’t catch on (or maybe you do, and you just want him to say something first), and eventually will straight up yell tell you how he feels
- once you two are together, he’ll still try to act he’ll try to keep up his icy exterior, but trust me, he’s completely whipped for you
- SHARED PLAYLISTS!!!!
- Appreciates that you keep your friend group small, because at the end of the day, he’s still a pretty reserved guy
- Admires your leadership qualities, and will not be insecure and toxic about it, despite what other people believe. He honestly wishes he could be more like you, in that sense
- He’ll be your # 1 fan in everything you do. Will support whatever it is that you want to achieve, and will cut any bitch who tries to get in your way
- boy is in LOOOOOVE
- If he ever gets mad or annoyed at you, just give him the smallest peck on his cheek, and he’ll be all putty in your hands again
- Likewise, I think he’d be so good at making you blush too. It’s not all the time that he does this, but when he does, it’s 1000000% effective
- A FRICKING TEASE SKJDHFDSJFGLSGJ CHANGE MY MIND
- Honestly I love this dynamic so much that I wanna make him your bedroom matchup too, but I feel like that would be a cop out
~
You were exhausted.
It was never easy juggling all the activities that you took part in - each of them was truly a labor of love. Today was particularly draining because it was, after all, your birthday, and it just HAD TO fall on a weekday. You plonked on your bed and started scrolling through your phone.
Your tight-knit group of friends continued to send you birthday wishes, despite having already done so when you saw them earlier that day. They had sung to you and let you blow out a birthday candle - it was all they could do, given your busy schedules. You looked forward to the weekend you had planned with them and your boyfriend, Rintarou.
Speaking of Rin, you thought to yourself, as a message notification from him popped up.
- You’re already home, right?
- Yeah! Just got here. So tired
- That’s too bad. I was gonna ask you to open the door for me but I guess I’ll just go home
You ran to your front door faster than you expected you could manage, and there stood Suna, a balloon and a box of pizza in hand. He pretended to walk away slowly, making you giggle before you grabbed him and dragged him inside.
He pressed a soft kiss to your temple. “Happy birthday, babe.”
You were giddy, not expecting him to show up. “I thought we were gonna wait til the weekend for my celebration??”
“Do you not know me by now?” he chuckled. “As if I’d let today pass without doing anything about it.”
You smiled and looked at him for a few seconds. He rarely looks so sincere, and so warm, and you just wanted to drink up every last drop of this moment.
He teased, “But y’know, I guess if you’re too tired, I can totally scarf down this pizza by myself.”
You groaned before dragging him to your room and setting up the playlist you guys worked on together, getting ready for a night in.
~
I hope that was alright, bb! Let’s make our way to the bedroom now ٩(◕‿◕。)۶
For some private time, I’ve invited over...
Oikawa Tooru! (Runner up: Suna Rintarou)
Despite how other people believe he’s a dom, I think he’d be a switch, at best. I think in the bedroom, he’d love to let his partner take control, just as much as loves having his way with them.
- What really gets this fucker going is pleasing people - and who would he love to please more than his s/o?
- He loves how your confidence translates into your bedroom behavior
- I headcanon that he easily falls apart in bed, and would gladly do so for his partner
- He is s e n s i t i v e. Touch him, kiss him, grab him EVERYWHERE
- LOUD, but a lot of it is trying to get his partner to be even louder
- How does this man have both a praise kink and a degradation kink? Idk but I’m so sure he has both
- Would be totally onboard with your knife kink. He’s super into sensory play
- Speaking of which
- BLINDFOLD HIMMMM SKDJHFSDJFK THAT WOULD BE A SIGHT TO BEHOLD
- Once you ask him to take charge, I think he would still be a service dom
- Knows all your sensitive spots. Made sure to take note of them so that he can get you back for all the times you hit his sweet spots
- Loves mouth stuff. His mouth. Your mouth. Putting stuff in them. Tongue stuff. Loves all of it
- Great at aftercare, just a bit flashy with it. Kind of makes a show of what he’s doing but in the most adorable way
- Delicate with how he handles you after. Or if you’re the one giving him aftercare, would praise you the whole time
- Will hold you til you fall asleep 🥺
~
As a little extra gift, I wanted to give you a dressing room matchup too!
I think your gorgeous face would look SO GOOD with...
Miya Atsumu! WHAT AN INSANELY GOOD LOOKING COUPLE YOU WOULD MAKE
~
That’s it for now, darling! I hope that was worth all the waiting you did. Thank you for being such a wonderful housemate - don’t hesitate to chat with me anytime. Advanced happy birthday again! (੭*ˊᵕˋ)੭*
Thanks for stopping by! (ノ´ヮ`)ノ*: ・゚
