Emmrich. He's read of countless mages with the power he has. They're often all too greedy, so thoroughly compromised with their insufferable egos, but nothing of this man comes foul and rotting. No, no. In fact, he'd sooner believe him unbelievably bright.

Gale's quiet as he eyes him, the echoes through the Necropolis bounding down the halls. Emmrich's honest to his core, his heart needled handsomely in that primly rolled sleeve, but alas, his concern rests bested in the scales inside his chest. His pen drags. Enamored, Gale, too blinded, heeds him little.

"I appreciate your concern," he says, scribbling his findings, "but I've my sights rooted more on the good that'll follow. Come now, Emmrich. Even steeped as you are in the necromantic arts, I know you to be a man no less devoted to life. I imagine there's little you wouldn't do for whoever would capture your heart. Oh, believe me. I've heard the stories."

"i'm fine. it's not that bad-" the mage's words are punctuated with a hiss of pain as she tries to sit up, hand clutching the bandages wrapped around her abdomen. fuck, cracked ribs. damn darkspawn, always doing their damn best to make her look incompetent. she's seen the inside of the weisshaupt infirmary too many times, and she can only hope the medics can get her out of here quicker than last time.

she slowly lays back down with a soft groan, eyes closing for a few moments before opening them and looking at ren. well, at least he's here. it makes the pain a little more bearable. she breathes in shakily, wincing at the sharp pain in her ribs. "did it at least look cool? please tell me it looked cool."

okay so now josie is rolling around in my head again, there are a few verses/AUs i am considering for her~

bg3 verse - so the best equivalent to antiva i can find through scouring the wiki is amn, and that nation has historically had a challenging relationship with baldur's gate ( but the two are still close ish ) so i feel like that gives me some interesting stuff to play around with through making josie an ex-bard turned amn ambassador to baldur's gate. i'm undecided yet on whether i would want a tadpole/companion verse for her because a huge part of her character is that she is non-violent so i'm not sure how she'd fit into a party dynamic, but her being an ambassador likely concerned about baldur's gate politics under gortash opens up some possibilities. plus i might tie her to jaheira again like i have varric just because i can

post trespasser / pre veilguard - so a lot of this is speculative because i personally don't think josie is high up on the list of likely cameos for the new game, but we do know from trespasser that if her personal quest is completed josie begins rebuilding her family's trading fleet and starts pissing off rivaini pirates ( so get ready for me to be 👀 at the lords of fortune faction ). i also imagine she continues to be involved with antivan politics even if the inquisition is disbanded post-exalted council or by the time veilguard rolls around, and ofc she still has her friends within the inquisition who she would help out with her extensive contacts across thedas high society

dorian's at his best in da:i, but i'm down for aus where he's involved in earlier games too. and he'll be getting a veilguard verse as well, though i'm not going into details in this post about it. i do still love inquisition tho, so things taking place during then are absolutely fine and encouraged, actually!

i. my name is tori. i'm 28, from the uk. i work full time + have other blogs besides this one so please be patient with me when it comes to replies. i have written in the dragon age fandom for a few years before i moved to the baldur's gate fandom. i'm now in both!

ii. i will endeavour to tag triggers and spicy content [#nsft] but if i do miss anything, feel free to politely let me know. this is an 18+ blog, there will be 18+ content on it. anonymous will also be switched off if anyone decides to use it to be rude.

iii. i am a mutuals only blog. if i follow you, it is because i want to write with you. i typically don't do mains / exclusives.

iv. memes are the best way to break the ice and interact. i put all ic asks in text posts so you can easily reblog them and continue them as threads if you wish. if you wish to plot, feel free to dive into my dms or even to ask for my discord. just note that i do not rp over discord, only chat and plot ooc.

v. i am open to pre-establishing things so our first interactions are not always introductions, which get boring fast. i do also enjoy shipping and writing spicy content - those types of memes are open to everyone also and can be its own contained non-canon thing if you wish. actual established ships need discussion, however.

vi. i do try to interact with all my followers be it through engaging with headcanon posts, sending memes, etc. however, if i notice that the interaction is one-way and i'm the only one sending things etc, then i'll eventually just stop. rp is a two-way street, please don't rely on me to constantly initiate interactions. if i send things and notice that nothing gets replied to, again, i will stop sending things for a while.

if i decide that it's just not working and i'm not vibing with your content, it's not a slight on you. it's just not meant to be. i tend to softblock and would prefer to be softblocked in return but do whatever you need to.

~ " I used this place as my study -- it is yours now, for the time being. " The air before them shimmers as Solas raises his arms, seemingly checking the strength of the barriers. " There are safeguards protecting this place; the Evanuris cannot find you here. " He turned back to the young elf, the stern look on his face hinting that he was in no mood to argue. " Your mother and I have determined that you will remain here for the time being. I know you wish to help; but it is far too dangerous for one as young as yourself. " ~

5. PRE-VEILGUARD - a speculative verse before the release of Veilguard. His ritual ruined, Solas reluctantly joins Rook and the Veilguard to stop the Evanuris once and for all. Now trapped in the Fade, he works from his sanctuary, the Lighthouse, offering advice and attempting to create another prison for the false gods. 

6. BALDUR'S GATE 3 - During his ritual, Solas does not rip a tear in the Veil between worlds, but instead, one between dimensions. He is now trapped in Faerûn, and falls into the clutches of the Illithids. Now, he must find a way to rid himself of his parasite, and return the Thedas.

~ Sontna nods silently, seeming to have noticed his hesitation in touching Ori. He holds her gaze for a moment, a lingering sadness in his eyes, before he reaches out to lightly brush his fingers through the young girl's hair. Tears sting his eyes, and he pulls his mouth into a thin line in a vain attempt to school his expression. ~

~ " There is no need to accept it, " he replies quietly, gaze still focused on Ori. " I know I am not deserving of your forgiveness... ". Her question makes him pause, before he draws his hand away from Ori. He sniffs, folding his hands in lap as he gazes at the floor. ~

~ " ...Of course, " he finally answered. " Many times. But I thought...I wanted to build a better world for you, and Norrim, and Oriinthel. I thought I was doing the right thing. But now...now I am unsure... ". ~

~ He is thankful for Ori's presence, as it gives him something else to focus on while he and Sontna are alone. As the other elf speaks, Solas moves to gently take the book from their daughter's hand, placing it beside him quietly. His fingers twitch as he contemplates brushing Ori's hair, but his hand does not move. ~

~ Solas simply nods as Sontna finally responds, swallowing a lump in his throat. ~

~ " ...I understand, " he responded solemnly. His own feelings were irrelevant -- he had abandoned Sontna and their children, and he would not blame her if she hated him. Still, he couldn't help but feel that he had to make amends somehow. ~

~ " ...For the little it is worth...I am sorry. For hurting you...and the children... ". He looks away. There is no justification. ~
