Love the idea of Veronica getting the opportunity to sort of parallel Shiro with the MFE pilots and I wish there'd been more travelling back to Earth content to see what else occurred when team Voltron disappeared from Earth.

Like imagine like 3 of your classmates disappear after washing out of a class and your school is being super weird about it all and then your mentor ends up being the sister of one of the people that disappeared. Do you talk about it? Do you mention it? Would she?

Like just an episode every couple of seasons that just explores the situation on earth for a while as we see things change rather than like just towards the beginning of the team getting back to Earth. Keep us linked to the stakes.

what do you think of acxa and veronica?? both as separate characters and as a ship

i love them dearly!! i do think acxa was insanely interesting as a character when she was introduced even though it came at the cost of hunk’s strange comments LMFAO and the whole odd attempt to imply she was into keith or whatever 😞 her design could use some tweaking imo but all around pretty decent

i also think veronica is pretty neat!! i wish we got to see her more as i love her design and i remember really loving her voice i think !! also she gave us the iconic dinner date scene where she admits she’s interested in keith which derails lance entirely, i wish they also explored that more, not because i ship them (the opposite in fact) but i just would’ve loved to see how it’d pan out with lance being pissed off and keith being.. keith, the fruity autistic man he is, they could’ve ended off as solid friends imo </3

as for the ship itself!! i like them i think? i haven’t given it too much thought due to them not having much screen time unfortunately 😞 i remember thinking the few interactions they did have as super cute and sweet

This is definitely a common theme among the fandom.

I know for a fact that I've gotten previous asks that have a similar tone (but I am way to lazy to go and find them lol).

I think it's a very common thing to want that kind of justice for characters you feel have been wronged. It gives people hope that maybe someone will stand up for people who are being bullied and looked down on in real life, too.

And yet it's really not a trope we see too often in shows or movies.

I think that has to do with the fact that - if this type of outburst is not done correctly - it can make the bullied character seem as if they are not able to stand on their own, or fight their own battles.

Would it have given the audience a sense of justice and satisfaction if Veronica had gone off on the team and everyone else who had belittled her brother? Yeah, in theory.

But with the way the show was canonly handled...

That may have just amplified the showrunner's opinions that Lance was the weakest member of the team.

Honestly the one thing I wish we had seen more of in the show was just actual conversations between the characters.

I would have loved to see Veronica and Lance actually talking with each other. Because then maybe we could have seen Lance opening up and being vulnerable with her, and we could have seen Veronica's anger and outrage channeled into support and love for her brother.

Because if there's one thing I've learned recently, it's that no matter how much you may want to jump in and fix everything, sometimes the best thing for you to do is simply show someone you are there for them. To let them know that they are not alone. To give them the strength to stand up for themself - or to give them the courage to ask for help if they really need it.

i have a headcanon that lance always talks about his siblings and their escapades when they were younger. be it during meals, or training, or chilling in the lounge. lance never fails to talk about his family because he misses them so much. at first, keith finds it annoying cause he tends to go on and on and on and half of the time lance's stories sounds fabricated so he never paid attention to it. but there's one instance where keith had no choice but to listen to lance's stories because they got themselves stuck in an alien planet with no comms + they're bored and that's when keith found out about lance's twin, rachel, and how he followed his sister veronica into the garrison because the uniforms looked cool. keith knew about the tree incident where his brother marco dared him to climb it in exchange for his tamales and lance fell by accident, busting an elbow. keith discovered they played with scissors once when they were five and rachel ended up with ragged bangs and lance had half of his head shaved.

keith has no idea when it started, but these days he catches himself listening attentively when lance talks about his family and now finds it super endearing. he remembers everything lance had told and sometimes imagine how it went to make himself fall asleep at night or when he's sad. during free time, keith approaches lance to continue where they had left prior and that's how they got to spend more time with each other.

so when they return to earth, it's no surprise that keith grew close with veronica pretty quickly seeing that veronica, apparently, talks about their family a lot too and now keith is learning about lance's embarrassing moments while the guy dies in mortification beside them

Fucking side plot that gets flashbacked to throughout the shows run (instead of just like season 7) where its revealed that Adam finally recognised who Pidge was and before she got away to the roof, he let her know he was gonna contact her mother so she knew where her kid was and in the process of this ends up informing Iverson but before they can do anything, Shiro crash lands and the pilot episode takes place and the garrison trio go missing and we watch on Earth as Adam, Veronica, Colleen and the MFE pilots work to try and discover all that Keith and Pidge discovered before the first episode and to find out what happened to them and maybe try to get them back.

I want the stakes on earth to exist throughout, an ecosystem of the Garrison to exist that the trio are aware of and interact with before they leave, so we get a better idea of the people left back on Earth and what they're doing. I wanna know their families like they do. It doesn't have to be that I get a full on list for them all but like I just want there to be this existing world they come from cause as much as I actually can't fault the first episode on a huge amount, this is one of those things cause if I was rewriting it to have the lions discovered throughout season 1, I'd need that time for something and it's something the show lacks anyway
