Vernis II has arrived, it's slightly larger and longer than it's predecessor and this time takes place in the desert.

Yet don't worry, it retains all of the creepiness that made the 1st one so memorable and poignant.

I absolutely adored the first book and I can't wait to get my teeth into this next one.

Vermis is an official guide for a video game, yet the game doesn't actually exist...

Definitely a series for fans of Berserk, Dark Souls, Bloodbourne etc.

i was absentmindedly shuffling songs that i listen to when how to never stop being sad by dandelion hands started to play. whenever it generally comes on i tend to skip it, and that’s what i was planning to do today! i did, actually— before going back and deciding to give it a listen, as i actually forgot the last time i listened to it and thought it would be worth a try.

..it hit quite a bit! expression while listening went from rather stoic to a covering of the mouth to then a wide open mouth.. and or i was a bit surprised. i forgot what all the lyrics were, and although i knew the general consensus was ‘oh do bad thing overanalyze dont talk yadda yadda’ i forgot how specific all the statements were. listened to it again as i got inside my house, and im still thinking about it.. it doesn’t flow like a song generally does with a chorus, instead feeling like someone just ranting (as it is, essentially) and it feels personal. bitter, too— bitter towards oneself.

when i listened to it, i was less sad and more.. comforted. reminded me that more or less, things’ll be alright. eventually.

…that makes me happy to realize.
