Introduction

I am so bad at doing intro's, this is now my 3rd time doing it. 😂 And hopefully the last. (I learnt how to make a divider, so it's at least a little fancy lol)

My last intro lacked some basic information because I was just rambling about shifting, so here it is.

My name is Vera, or you can call me Vee. Either way, I don't mind. My pronouns are she/her, and I am 16, turning 17 soon. I know some don't want to interact with minors (understandably), but age is just a number. My main dr's at the moment are TWD and my waiting room (waiting room first obvi bcs that scary 😂)

I have been a shifter for 2 years now and have only had a few 'mini-shifts'. I don't like the term 'mini-shift' as a shift is still a shift, but I call it that as I never visually saw I was in my dr. Things like touches, feeling or smell of something is more what told me I was there, and obviously it didn't last very long. (Every shift I'd be alone in my own room or something, so there's no way it could've happened there)

I am looking for friends surrounding shifting and love to hear of other people's dr's even if I'm not shifting there. I have a few other dr's that I'm open to talk about, but I'm not very focused on shifting to those yet. Almost all of my dr's follow a sub-plotline of sorts. (Edit: added one, my bad lol)

ah yes, my icon. my muse. my silly rabbit.

favorite thing about them - his tits on a meta level, i think what i appreciate most about scott is that it feels as though he was bio-engineered in a lab to be specifically catered to me. hairy, bearded, muscular, jockish, funny, kind, endlessly optimistic, stupid as hell, AND has canonically committed multiple atrocities as a big, sexy werewolf? be still, my beating heart. i feel like the monster prom creators stalked my social media circa 2017-2018 and collectively agreed that they were gonna make a dating sim ro that would make this one specific gayboy so, SO happy.

least favorite thing about them - also on a meta level. look. im not a nasty little hater (except when i am), but i have to admit that the writers are CONSTANTLY shoving him to the side in favor of the rest of the cast. even in his own game, Monster Roadtrip, a majority of the events tend to lean on polly being the center-focus with scott acting as her sidekick. this was esp apparent in the End of the Road ending where Polly was basically the main character while Scott was also There (sort of). ill admit i partially understand this since polly is generally a more active character while scott is more reactive, but still, id love to see my boy get his kudos

favorite line - there's so many good ones but im just gonna with one based on a recent screenshot i took: "I really like macaroni, but I'm not allowed to boil water by myself, so I just eat the noodles raw."

brOTP - DA PRANK MASTERZ BABEY!!! Scott is my fav MP character and Polly is my second fav, so you it's only natural that I'd be obsessed with their dynamic. canonically bimbo and himbo besties.

OTP - Scott howl x ME!! i like him and brian a lot, i think they're cute. im a sucker for jock x jock and golden retriever x constantly tired so the two of them manage to hit a sweet spot for me.

nOTP - the game keeps trying to push scott x vicky or scott x amira and like, im sorry, but trying to get me to ship Bara Icon Scott Howl with women? im calling homophobia. besides im more of a vicky x vera and amira x damien guy so on all fronts those ships just dont really appeal to me

random headcanon - for reasons i cant disclose this has been canonically refuted but i always pictured scott's grandma as one of those very classic horror movie werewolves- all fangs, all carnage, very little sexy (unless you're into that sort of thing, in which case, hey. you do you). she used to be the alpha of the pack back in her day and was an absolute menace to monster society, until she got a little older and settled down. still, she secretly craves the old days when monsters could be monsters, and keeps trying to convince scott to embrace his more animalistic side, even though he keeps telling her that murder isnt actually really mean and you probably shouldn't do it.

unpopular opinion - the monster prom fandom doesnt really have that much discourse so i dont know whats an unpopular opinion vs what isnt. uuuh i think scott should have won that popularity poll back when monster prom was still getting updates and gotten the new secret ending instead of damien's "punch the sun" ending

The Golden Theater was a symbol of gross decadence. A palace of egotism, shining and golden, though that light faded over the years as her successors realized just how expensive such a thing was to uphold, and instead tried to make more practical use of it.

Legend said that NERO would trap patrons inside and force them to listen to her performances. The truth was hard to verify, but it was unable to be doubted here, as Servants were their legends manifest.

None could escape the Golden Theater while NERO was performing- as long as she had the energy to perform, that is.

The two engaged in battle. You watched as NERO landed a blow, rose thorns sprouting from the edge of her blade and digging into the shoulder of the PRIESTESS before it was ripped out, blood trickling down the side of the red-hot sword and brushing the tips of the CASTER's fingers, her sickly pallor reverting somewhat as she healed herself.

They clashed, their moves almost perfectly matched. It was an elegant dance, a beautiful dance, almost perfectly choreographed. Styled in a way that even so, the Emperor of Roses held the slight advantage.

NERO: "I thought you'd play the villain well! However, I find your performance lacking! If you are to be my rival, then you'd best give me everything you have!"

TAMAMO-NO-HIME: "Keep talking, Saber! If there is one person I refuse to lose to, it's you!"

Sorry, I forgot to keep posting updates about the alpha. We've jumped a few versions since I last updated at verA.07

Small verbiage updates to increase clarity of meaning throughout the document

Double checked the math in the Space, Range, and Size section of to account for the fact that World Seed SRD's default tile size is 2 cubic meters.

Added a list of common Object Properties

Streamlined Object Sheet, and by extension Object Entities

Decreased Clutter: Moved information that was supposed to be included in a Character Entity's Character Sheet, back to Character Sheet section.

Re-standardized language across Objects and Characters where relevant. - Actions and Events standardization in progress

Recipes fleshed out and added! Basic crafting is live

Added Additional common Events - Additional "Sound based" events, in progress

Clarified ambiguity around how MP is spent

Updated terms Stamina Points and Mana/Movement Points to: Significance and Mundane Points; referring to their function, curbing and facilitating Character Actions of varied levels of narrative significance in the midst of an Encounter. They are now further decoupled from pure combat-focused systems.

Mood system added (update ver A0.78) - Mood system under construction due to complaint from small group.

Finally added GNU General Public License v3.0 (GNU GPLv3) permissions, FORMALLY, to the document. Sorry for the waffling, It took me a minute to actually parse and read everything so I could be sure it did what I wanted.

Anyway, that's all for now! I'm still working on the simplified version of this documents, but please have at it anyway! I'd love to hear any thoughts or suggestions! Even if I don't take them, they help shape my perspective for what people want better!

I don't know what it was exactly that was wrong with me. I wasn't normally this clingy but for some reason, all I could think about was my very dangerous, very busy husband. He was all I wanted as of late, and if I didn't constantly have my hands on him I think I would collapse.

"Baby, I have to go to work," Azriel sighs, stumbling towards the door as I latch to his waist, draping over him and making him drag me along with him.

"Don't want you to," I whine, tightening my hold.

"Love," He sighed, stopping our game of push and pull, and rather turning to face me. I look up at him with a pout to my lips and his eyes soften, his hands coming up to my jaw. "My pretty girl," He admires, his thumbs rubbing over the tops of my cheeks. "What's gotten into you, hm?" He tilts his head and I shrug mischievously, knowing damn well what was making me so needy. "Tell me," He encourages and my frown deepens.

"I'm ovulating," I grumble and he smirks.

"Oh yeah?" He says, his voice dropping and I groan, playfully hitting his chest in a futile attempt to get him to stop teasing.

"Stop, you know what that does to me," I say and he chuckles, catching my wrists to stop me from pummeling him anymore.

"My poor baby," He hums as I wrap my arms around his torso rather than punch him and stuff my face into his chest, unable to get close enough.

"Don't pity me," I huff.

"Then what is it you'd like me to do?"

"Stay," I mutter. "Please, you can spend all day filling me," I attempt to coerce but he seems unwavering.

"You're insatiable," He grumbles, his hands meeting my hips.

"It's your fault," I huff into his chest, his expensive cologne enveloping me.

"Yeah? How so baby?" He said, pulling away to look at my expression, my brows crinkled with an evident pout painting my lips.

"You know how," I cross my arms defensively.

"I don't think I do, use your voice hun," He encourages and I curse, looking at him with a defeated expression.

"You and your pretty words get me all bothered and you know it," I confess and he smirks.

"Do they?" He leaned closer and I groaned, pushing him away and stomping down the hallway.

"Whatever, just go to work already," I grumbled, crossing my arms over my chest.

"Aw, don't be like that." Arms wrap around my waist and pull me into a chest. "It's alright baby, just say you want me," He hums, kissing down my neck, making me clench my legs together.

"Az," I sigh, my hand coming to his cheek. "You have to go to work." I push him away by the face but he twists out of the position so he is in front of me once again, blocking my path towards the hallway.

"Well, I can't just leave my needy wife all alone now can I?" He tilts his head and I close my eyes, cursing him for making this all harder than it had to be.

"I'll be fine," I mutter, lifting onto my toes and pecking his cheek before fluidly moving past him. "Go." I make a gesture with my hands that waves him away as if one of the most feared men on the continent were a child in need of directions.

"Look me in the eyes and tell me you really want me to leave." Azriel's hands return to my hips before I can get too far, his grip tightening as he pulls me right back into his chest so I am flushed against him.

I grit my teeth, looking up into his hazel eyes. It was no wonder it was his job to interrogate whatever poor soul wronged the crime syndicate, it seemed as if it was impossible to lie to him when staring into those pools of hazel. Emerald and gold melded together, a rim of blue lining his pupil, and orange on the outermost edge. They were the first things I noticed about him, and they will always be my favorite physical features of his. He knew that, of course, he also knew that I was a terrible liar.

"Tell me you want me to leave," He encourages and I stifle a sigh, looking away because I unfortunately couldn't find it in myself to even attempt. I wanted him, and he seemed willing enough to give me him.

His smirk widens. "That's what I thought," He concluded in a snarky tone, but before I could manage a retort he picked me up by my hips and tossed me over his shoulder like a rag doll.

E che lo mostri prima della correzione geometrica effettuata in camera.

Ove un obiettivo che si riteneva rettilineare così rivela la sua vera natura di quasi / fish-eye.

Ciò avviene precipuamente per gli obiettivi grandangolari - la stragrande maggioranza, come sapete, nei droni - ma gli Orrori / Errori si verificano anche negli obiettivi telecentrici, ché la distorsione  imperversa sia a barilotto che a cuscinetto.

Beninteso:

la Strage della Distorsione Prospettica è tanto più feroce quanto più i modelli di drone sono economici.

Economici, ergo miniaturizzati nella camera che montano.

Un freno al fenomeno si ha solo a partire - meglio, a salire - dei diecimila euro, meglio più che meno.

Che fare, allora, nelle condizioni d'impiego più frequenti?

Nel raro caso in cui si disponga di una focale lunga, già si dispone di un mezzo a priori per contenere il summentovato fenomeno.

Contenere, ma non certo eliminare.

Le due fotografie a corredo di questo brano sono state realizzate alla focale massima - equivalente per angolo di campo ad un 48 mm nel formato Leica - di uno zoom ottico.

E già lo zoom ottico è una gradita Araba Fenice, nel settore, sì altrimenti infestato di Finti Allungamenti (gli zoom "digitali").

Epperò, lo zoom per definizione palesa l'esigenza di contemperare esigenze diverse (essere corretto nell'interezza della sua escursione.

Tra ciò e la succitata miniaturizzazione, vi sono le premesse acciocché il risultato non sarà comunque ottimale.

Meglio che con un grandangolare, certo, ma ancora lontani dalla perfezione.

Dunque, come procedere?

Perfino gli obiettivi più corretti del mondo sono vulnerabili alle brevi distanze, ai fini di prospettiva.

Non per niente gli "antichi" non rendevano ammissibili focheggiature ravvicinate, tipicamente con obiettivi che invece recano i presupposti per una correttezza geometrica "intrinseca" (i "normali", che dovrebbero essere meno affetti di altri quanto a barilotto e cuscinetto, più il primo che il secondo).

Pertanto, se ci avviciniamo molto al soggetto l'Orrore / Errore che vedevamo nell'anteprima pre-correzione da profilo digitale operata dal fabbricante apparirà ugualmente evidente, pur dopo la visualizzazione susseguente all'applicazione del profilo dedicato.

Certo, allontanandosi di un po' l'inconveniente si ridimensiona, ma occorre tener presente che più un complesso lente/sensore è economico, maggiore è la probabilità che la risoluzione sia bassa (stendiamo, se V'aggrada, un velo pietoso sugli artifici moltiplicatori - 48 MP, avete già capito - che spaccano il capello - anzi il pixel, in quattro), e conseguentemente di recuperare ingrandimento traverso postproduzionale ritaglio.

Prendiamo allora in esame il caso in cui ci si sia avvicinati al soggetto, e al computer si tenti porre rimedio agli Orrori / Orrori.

Delle due immagini allegate quella del rosone si mostra particolarmente impietosa ove si concentri la vista sui mattoni.

E ciò - si badi - sia dopo la correzione in camera sia dopo quella operata manualmente.

Ciò in quanto la distorsione non è mai perfettamente lineare.

In certi casi, addirittura, si registra la coesistenza di distorsioni di segno opposto.

In tal guisa, anche la progressione di tre successivi passaggi (profilo automatico, affinamenti automatici, affinamenti manuali) non consente risultati finali decenti.

E rammentiamo sempre:

le correzioni non sono mai indolori, tra l'altro pesantemente sottraendo dettaglio, novello feticcio della contemporaneità.

Questo è quanto, purtroppo.

Certo, anche i dispositivi terrestri non sono esenti da questi guai.

Ed allora - liberamente parafrasando George Orwell - dovremo mestamente concludere che certe imperfezioni sono più diseguali di altre...
