Any suggestions?

I want to be more devoted? To the gods, i haven’t been motivated recently ly and I want to restart my practice. If anyone has any advice for someone starting over I’m open to any advice.

I have a habit of being super anxious when trying to honor the gods or do witchcraft. I feel embarrassed for some reason. I have the same problem with the other people I interact with.

Right now I occasionally draw or wear some jewelry, usually Mjolnir. I have a couple altars set up but I haven’t really used them and I rarely make offerings.

They burned an idol.

Somewhere in the deep forest in the Ozarks there used to be an idol to Veles. I know because I put it there. I went as far out as I dared and found a good old dead tree, one that was really just a tall stump, and on a cold winter day I spent the better part of an afternoon carving it into an idol, and when I needed some peace I'd go out and sit with him there in the forest and pray.

I said my goodbyes and left town for a few years for work. When I came back, I found that idol gone. The whole area was scorched. I found out that the government had done a controlled burn of that area of the forest. The idol was gone, my work of devotional art gone up in smoke. At first I felt a great deal of grief, but after thinking about it, I feel the burning to be poetic. An offering to itself, cut from the forest and burned for the good of the forest.

I'd have liked to see it, at least, but I can't complain. I wasn't around. Perhaps I'll go back and pray there again at first snow.

Such amazing things have been happening in my home as of late. The presence of Veles is very clear here. My orchid started growing leaves at higher nodes. My hoya kerrii, which I got two years ago, blessed me with TWO off shoots. My miniature rose that I had to save from rot is blooming for the first time.

I'll take this as a sign that I may be doing something right in my devotion and worship.

Not so funny money.

You invested your kid's college fund in Truth Social stock, you bought all the Donald Trump NFTs, you shelled out for the $300 sneakers and the $60 bible. You got your flags, your red MAGA hat and "God, Guns & Trump" t-shirt. So how else can you show your everlasting and limitless devotion to the criminally indicted grifter who calls himself "your favorite president of all time"? Here's how.

Ever since 2020, when Trump lost the presidential election, Internet vendors (legitimate or not) have been selling pro-Trump coins, currency and cards, most marketed as purely collectible novelty items. In fact, while Trump was still president, even the White House gift shop was hawking a coin commemorating his first impeachment as part of its "historical moments in his presidency collection" (a steal at only $150).

What's more, Amazon currently offers a Trump 2024 Save America gold coin in a velvet display case complete with a certificate of authentication and display stand that allows you to "proudly support MAGA" for the low, low price of $16.95. And an outfit calling itself Proud Patriots is selling a collectible trading card of Trump's scowling mugshot for $29.99. But these are all merely harmless ways of separating Trump-addled cultists from their currency.

More dangerous are the online scammers dealing in phony "Trump Bucks" and debit cards. Here's the pitch: When Trump is rightfully returned to power as omnipotent king of America, he will establish an entirely new monetary structure (the Trump Rebate Banking System), and these items will suddenly become immensely valuable.

John Amann of Houston, however, found out otherwise. He bought $2,200 worth of Trump Bucks, only to discover they were worthless when he tried to cash them in at his local bank. In 2023, NBC News revealed that three separate companies based in Colorado were behind a scheme to sell fake Trump Bucks.

Plus, it's an open secret that the town of Veles in Macedonia is the headquarters for gangs of fraudsters vending debit-like "Trump cards" through encrypted Internet channels to naive, Trump-worshipping "patriots" an ocean away. Each of these cards is supposedly preloaded with $200,000, which you can withdraw at any ATM. Needless to say, they too are completely bogus.

But it's hard to distinguish between these Internet thieves and Donald Trump, who also peddles an array of Trump-branded junk, with the cash he siphons off from his cult followers going straight into his lawyers' pockets. We can only hope the gullible MAGAs who fall for these scams will eventually realize the joke's on them.

I dedicate all my work and learning about plants and nature to Veles. It's like we have a quiet agreement. But at times I feel His presence so loudly I know I can't fail.

I've been going back and forth about devoting myself to a god for years. Narrowed it down to two. Then my focus sharpened. It took me months to accept it, to admit it to myself. Then I did. Then I told myself it has to be perfect. The "first contact".

Not much in life is perfect, alright? But what I didn't notice is how much of my life already is to His name. And I like it that way. Dare I say, He likes it that way?

It's been at least six months since I realised who I want to work with on a deep, deep level. A few months since I described it to other ((very close)) people. But lately, I feel our relationship is growing more tangible. He makes me feel strong.

I want to be good.

I'm going to write my own response to this, since I keep seeing it everywhere on Tumblr this morning.

The position that Lucifer and Satan are non-identical is not incorrect, but also given to a degree of subjectivity as is so often the case. Like the way some gods are also afforded that relationship, it's in many ways the same deal. I happen to think there is a degree of separation you can establish between them.

In very strict historical terms, Satanism in a conscious sense is certainly not older than Christianity or Judaism, and you can't support the idea that it is simply through the authority of The Satanic Bible. Now if you want, as I've seen some Theistic Satanists do, argue that Satanism is simply the modern manifestation of an older, nameless current devoted to darkness, you theoretically could appeal to interpretation

Since the rest of this is basically just quotes from The Satanic Bible I think it'd be better focus on my own interpretation. I do think that Satan and Lucifer are different entities, and tbh I should really get into working with the latter, but the reasons why they are very complicated, and even there, they are not so easily separated either.

What I believe about Lucifer comes from years of trying to trace his pre-Christian legacy into modernity. The name Lucifer as a standalone deity ostensibly refers to a specific Roman deity of the morning star, though it was until at least the 13th century the name of the planet we now call Venus. In Greek this was Phosphoros or Heosphoros and was also the epithet of several gods such as Artemis, Apollo, Dionysus, Hekate, and Hephaistos to name a few. The spirit of the morning star is recognized in many other distinct cultural contexts in different names and different ways, and in many of them he appears as a rebellious figure in his own right. Examples include the Ugaritic Athtar, the Mayan Chak Ek, the Arabian Zohreh, the Indian Shukracharya, the Japanese Ame-no-Kagaseo or Taihakusei, and possibly the Turkic deity Erlik. In "the West", Lucifer's heritage intersects inescapably with the history of the Devil, and with the lore of the fallen angels in the background, and by the Middle Ages he appears as a name for The Devil, who by this point is fully integrated with the imagery and archetype of chthonic pagan gods such as Hades, Charun, Veles, sometimes even Odin in parts of England (where he was called Grim), as well as other gods such as Pan and Bes. But Lucifer was also sometimes separated from Satan within the medieval imagination, sometimes with Satan being depicted as subordinate to Lucifer.

Lucifer is strictly speaking the spirit of the morning star in a polytheistic context, but he's also a long chain of dissidence in our particular context, and in occultism he carries within him ideas of a sort of "gnostic" autonomy and enlightenment. Satan in many ways embodies a still much larger negativity, the full darkness of the Stirnerian Unmensch, an utter insurrectionary negation and lust that is the source of utter freedom, imminent in the flesh of all things through his sign. That's why Eliphas Levi referred to Satan as the negation of God and also potentially the instrument of liberty.

Lucifer and Satan

Satanism is an old religion. Older than Christianity or Judaism. Like the Satanic bible says:

"It was an old religion, older than Christianity or Judaism. But it had never been formalized, arranged into a body of thought and ritual."

As stated in the Satanic bible:

"The Roman god, Lucifer, was the bearer of light, the spirit of the air, the personification of enlightenment. In Christian mythology he became synonymous with evil (it means Satan, even though he's not evil, i might add), which was only to have been expected from a religion whose very existence is perpetuated by clouded definitions and bogus values!"

It also said this:

"It is time to set the record straight. False moralisms and occult inaccuracies must be corrected. Entertaining as they might be, most stories and plays about Devil worship must be recognized as the obsolete absurdities they are."

So. Do not mix up Lucifer and Satan. Get your facts straight first.

If you do believe in the christian ideology of our Lord, then go ahead.
