not to sound blasé but is the game really making the choice for dragon fight between minrathous- the super advanced magic capital of thedas with a fuck off giant laser beam- verses treviso- the only known city in all of thedas with no standing army and no protection outside of soft squishy assassins that only really care when they’re paid too?

with as much fun as I’m having playin veilguard it’s actually really disappointing that it’s intrinsically designed to kinda alienate people (like me) who haven’t kept up with the outside books/comics/media in general because after ten years a lot of people have developed attachments to these characters I’m meeting for the first time but now I also have to accept that all the information/lore from these outside/extra sources is now mainline canon instead of just fun flavoring
