One huge highlight from last night... A few words to describe the food at @bistrovonish: delicious, sublime, beautiful, inspiring. I truly admire chef Craig's attention to detail. This BBQ Seitan sandwich may not seem like the fanciest dish on his menu, but if you pay attention to the details, you begin see the brilliance of his ability to combine flavors and textures. The bread, pickles, sauce, slaw, and seitan all compliment each other and come together to really make an incredible sandwich that I would eat any day. This might have been the best Jackfruit I've had recently. It's a Asian style roll-up from @thegreatyall, a new (I know they have been serving since 2015 but they're new to me) vegan food truck in austin. The Jackfruit had great flavor and texture. Sauce and slaw were a perfect foil for the green onion pancake that was a lot like a roti. So tasty. I could've eaten five of these! Best thing I had at this food truck and I really liked everything else they make as well.
