Okay I'm back with more ideas.

Since IPA, which we based the script on, has all of the English alphabet within it, I thought "Hey, why not just include all possible combinations of solely English alphabet consonants?".

There are 20 consonants in English, times 20 is 400, but I will take away 20 of them since they are just double consonants (like "bb" or "zz"). Thus we got 380 new symbols, leaving us with- -drumroll-

-symbols left unassigned.

And I think I have just the thing. In Google Docs, there is a category of insertable symbols called "Modifier > Non-spacing", thus, diacritics.

Out of the 196 diacritical marks that appear there, 25 have already been listed above in the script (see All subscript phonetic symbols and secondary articulations).

Thus, out of those 196, we can add the ones that haven't appeared in the list already and count them as new symbols - that's 171 new symbols, which leaves us with

And that's a very simple and small number really. What we can do here is add some extended-Latin symbols which do not count as diacritic mutations of already existing symbols, and some other ones just in case.

So basically there's this monogram neography creation method I got.

It consists solely of breaking down a complex symbol into smaller ones.

The number of final glyphs can be predicted by replacing the "x" in 2^x with the number of separate lines in the monogram.

This monogram above has a total of 12 parts. This means it can yield 4096 combinations.

That's a huge number, considering that English got 26 letters in its alphabet (excluding the apostrophe and diacritical variations of letters). It can fit the English alphabet 157 times, and there will still be some space left.

But there are some problems somewhat - the monogram here has some repeating lines, primarily the parallel ones. But that's fixable,

Just add some distinction ditty dots.

But still the question of filling it out remains open. Say I add the entire English alphabet. That's 26. Then all possible bi-letter combinations in it. That's 676, which combined with just the letters gives 702. Tri-letter combinations would be impossible, since they yield a number greater than the total sum of symbols possible (17576).

But that does leave us with 3394 symbols out of the total 4096. The only way I see this going is by adding new letters to English, but here's the thing - where to stop?

Theoretically I could fit all the possible letters in the extended Latin script probably, at least the ones in the most widespread alphabets.

But what if I go phonetic?

There's a total of 128 phonetic symbols available on Vulgarlang.com, combing all into pairs would yield a number above that of the total possible symbols (16384). But we can do one thing. Take all the consonants and multiply them by the vowels, and then again by two (impossible since 95x26 is 2660, and x2 yields 5320 which is greater than the total amount of glyphs possible). Which is a mathematical way of saying "create all possible combinations of vowels and consonants in CV pairs". So say we combine every consonant with every vowel - that's 2660. Plus 5 tonal indicators, that's 2665. Plus all the newly available superscript modifiers and all the phonetic articulation superscripts (160), that's 2825.

So to recount what we have: - All possible consonant-vowel combinations. - All phonetic symbols. - All phonetic secondary articulation symbols. And we still have 1271 symbols left.

What else can we do?

Let's add a functional symbol that flips the previous letter backwards. Say, turns /ʃʌ/ into /ʌʃ/. That leaves us with 1270 symbols - a round number, which is good.

For the fun of it how about we make 360 of them numerals? A base-360, which is one of quite notable anti-primes. It will be amazing for counting, and will include countless other numeral systems inside it wouldn't it? To write in decimal just use the numerals from 0 to 9. Also this base is like the Sumerian sexadecimal but multiplied by itself. A complete beast. Thus, 1270 - 360 = 910.

910 symbols left huh, well fuck me. Well let's consider this: let's add in all the vowels with tones applied. That'd be 28x5, thus, 140. 910 - 140 = 770.

Unit 731 Lead by Lieutenant-General Shiro Ishii pictured at the bottom Unit 731 officially known under the misleading name of "Anti-Epidemic Prevention and Water Purification Department of the Kwantung Army". Unit 731 was a covert Japanese biological and chemical warfare group set up in 1936. The unit's main base was six kilometre square compound at Pingfang in Manchuria, complete with a railway line, barracks, dungeons, laboratories, operating rooms, crematoria, bar, airport, cinema, and Shinto temple. At this Auschwitz of the east, unit 731 conducted medical and biological warfare experiments on criminals, political opponents, allied POWs and Chinese civilians. 🏵️ Trước tiên, xin chia sẻ lý do viết bài viết và mục đích

Xin nói rằng, nếu bạn không thể học được một ngôn ngữ khác ngoài tiếng mẹ đẻ. Thì có thể bạn giống mình ở một điểm là vùng não broca của bạn có vấn đề, và cho dù bạn không nói lắp, không bị gì khác thường, thậm chí rất giỏi ở một điều gì đó. Chỉ đơn giản bạn không học được TA. Nếu trường hợp không phải thì học kiểu gì thì sau 1 năm bạn vẫn tiến bộ, còn như mình thì hầu như bằng 0. Như thằng bạn cùng lớp hồi ĐH, mình với nó cùng rủ đi học ở Sao Việt (vì nó hợp túi tiền). Sau đó mình từ bỏ và nó nói như gió =))

Người thường thì học sẽ được, thậm chí 2 3 ngôn ngữ luôn. Và họ chưa bao giờ hiểu bạn đâu. Nên đừng để bên ngoài tác động, hãy tự làm hòn đảo cho mình.

Xin kể lại quá trình của mình: hồi cấp 3, vì giỏi vật lý nhất, nên cô giáo dạy TA nói mình giả và và cố tình không học → tưởng là 1 môn lý nó kéo TA. Nhưng thực tế thì không phải, mình không thể nhớ và học được. Lên đại học, quả đắng còn khổ hơn khi TA mình phải học kiểu trước khi đi thi, phải học tủ tầm 100 từ, học ngữ pháp nhồi và sau khi thi 1 tuần nó trở về 0. Ấy thế mà có 1 điểm B, ở TA năm 1 là động lực lớn cho mình. Và trước khi một thầy ở nước ngoài về chỉ mình phương pháp và sau này đọc thêm được 1 cuốn sách hay mình đã thay đổi.

Trước khi học, bạn nên xem xét TA có thật sự cần cho bạn không đã. Như mình làm kỹ thuật, buộc phải đọc tài liệu, nên nó cần ghê gớm luôn. Và khi học bạn nên hiểu lấy mình, đừng buồn, đừng thất vọng. Nếu bị chê thì hãy cảm ơn người chê, nó là động lực. Còn nữa, hãy đừng cậy mình mạnh ở khía cạnh nào đó, vì biết mình kém ở TA. Và hơn hết hãy tin rằng nó sẽ thay đổi.

🏵️ Phương pháp học TA với mình ntn

Mình xin chia sẻ cách học áp dụng cho mình và thực sự nó có thay đổi. Mình đã đặt mục tiêu ngày đầu là 10 năm sau sẽ viết được, đọc được, nghe được 1 ít đoạn TA nào đó. Và chưa đến 10 năm, 7 năm mình đã làm được. Đúng như khoa học chứng minh 7 năm 100% hầu hết tế bào của bạn sẽ thay (buồn là trừ TB não, nó lâu hơn, thậm chí không thay).

I/ PP của thầy dạy mình và mình biến đổi áp dụng:

1. Hãy tìm một nguồn TA thích hợp liên hệ cái bạn cần, nhất là phải tiếp xúc nữa. Khác với lời khuyên là tìm sách cho trẻ với cấp thấp đúng không :D. Vì mình có kinh nghiệm rồi, nó không ăn thua và phí thời gian cho sự học cũng lâu hơn (nhất là giai đoạn mới). Hãy để nguồn thấp cho sau này, có time hơn. Như mình chọn ngay 1 cuốn biến tần mỏng, nhỏ. (IP5A manual)

2. Sau đó, mỗi ngày tra 1 ít. Thời gian đầu hãy viết lại, để tạo sự quen thuộc. Như người thường sẽ nhanh hơn, nhưng như mình hôm viết hết cuốn vở học sinh 1 mặt kẻ dọc chia 4 cho 1 tờ đơn. Thì khi xem lại trang 1 tra 1 từ, dở đến cuối lại gặp lại từ đó. Ha ha, vậy đó. Tình trạng 1 câu, có 5 từ bạn tra 4 từ là bình thường nhé nên cứ kệ thôi.

3. Về sau này, mình bỏ hẳn vở. Và chú ý nhé: "Đừng cố nhớ từ". Vì nếu bạn làm thế thì bạn sẽ bỏ học vì căng thẳng + đau khổ khi muốn mà không được. Tình trạng này sẽ gây áp lực khiến bạn bỏ cuộc. Hãy xác định biến nó thành một thói quen, như một đam mê đi.

II/ PP từ cuốn "IELS 7.0" và internet.

1. Mình thấy cuốn này không phải là self-help mà nó là kể lại quá trình học. Nó khiến ta đọc xong thấy có mình trong đó, cho dù là pro cũng phải đi từ nấc thang nhỏ nhất. Hãy bỏ thời gian đọc nhé, nó tốt cho mọi người.

Đặc biệt có phần mình nhớ và tâm đắc đại khái là: bạn nên coi TA như TV, khi dùng TV sai chính tả, sai cú pháp ngữ pháp, rồi đôi khi nói xong mà người nghe còn chả hiểu ý ta nữa, phải cố gắng mà diễn đạt lại. Thì ở TA tự dưng mình ngại chuyện soi mói về cú pháp, ngữ pháp làm gì. Học kiểu hàn lâm, chuẩn nói thực là nó không hợp rơ với mình, và mình chả ngại gì chuyện sai sót. Vì: ngôn ngữ vốn là để truyền tải. Làm sao ta sử dụng người khác hiểu, mình hiểu vậy là thành công 50%. Khi nào mình giỏi thì học lại ngữ pháp, nắn cho văn vở chắc chả mấy hồi. (lưu ý giỏi đã nhé =)) ).

2. Sau này, qua nhiều năm tiếp xúc với TA chuyên ngành, những từ liên tục học, làm, đọc, tiếp xúc đã bắt đầu ăn được rồi. Nhưng nó chỉ có 1 xíu, lúc đó bạn hãy tiếp tục tìm kiếm ngoài như Bookworm là một nguồn đáng học đấy, vừa có thể vừa sức, vừa có audio, vừa hấp dẫn nữa. Như 1 bạn đã chia sẻ, và mình đọc trên mạng nữa, thì nghe nó cũng tích cực giúp mình học. Mình bỏ 7 năm mới bò đến Harry potter tập 4, và vẫn học BW lv1. Do vậy mình cùng nghe chưa được nhiều, ngoài mấy nguồn này nên chưa dám khẳng định. Có điều người ta nghiên cứu cũng đúng đấy vì vùng broca nó gần tai mà.

3. Sẽ đặt mục tiêu 10 năm nữa là sẽ ngon lành hơn bây giờ ở khoản sử dụng tốt TA. Và hơn hết bắt não nó làm việc. Chúng ta mới dùng 5% thôi, và vùng này kém thì cho nó tập tạ thôi. Mình hoạt động diễn đàn hay mạng xã hội cũng là một mục đích làm cho có việc để làm. Không phải kiếm fan, vì sẽ có anti fan kèm theo. Không kiếm like, hay gì hết vì mình chả cần mấy cái đó.
