Doanh nghiệp lan tỏa thông điệp phát triển bền vững

Tầm quan trọng của mục tiêu phát triển bền vững được Chính phủ và cộng đồng doanh nghiệp nhấn mạnh ở VCSF 2020 vừa diễn ra tại Hà Nội.

Diễn ra trong bối cảnh đặc biệt khi Covid-19 đang hoành hành, Diễn đàn Doanh nghiệp Phát triển bền vững Việt Nam 2020 (VCSF) mang chủ đề "Phát triển bền vững trong thập niên mới: Biến thách thức thành cơ hội" thu hút sự tham gia bộ, ban ngành và đông đảo cộng đồng doanh nghiệp tại Việt Nam.

Không chỉ đúc rút bài học từ đại dịch Covid-19, diễn đàn bàn về những vấn đề then chốt cho tăng trưởng kinh tế - xã hội bền vững thập niên 2021-2030, gồm quản trị doanh nghiệp bền vững, thúc đẩy kinh tế tuần hoàn, ứng phó biến đổi khí hậu, tăng cường mô hình hợp tác công-tư...

Năm 2020, Việt Nam đứng thứ 49 trên thế giới về phát triển bền vững. Phó thủ tướng Vũ Đức Đam khẳng định, ngày càng nhiều doanh nghiệp nhận thức phát triển bền vững là việc phải làm. 10 năm tới là thời gian để Việt Nam hoàn thành nốt các mục tiêu còn lại trong số 19 mục tiêu phát triển bền vững của thiên niên kỷ.

"Để lan toả tinh thần phát triển bền vững là một việc rất khó. Chúng ta có 700.000 doanh nghiệp, nhưng mới chỉ 2.000 doanh nghiệp là thành viên của Cộng đồng doanh nghiệp phát triển bền vững của Việt Nam, mới chỉ đưa thông tin tiếp cận tới khoảng 100.000 doanh nghiệp. Muốn đạt được các mục tiêu về phát triển bền vững vào năm 2030, đòi hỏi hành động phải lan toả ngay trong cộng đồng doanh nghiệp Việt Nam", Phó thủ tướng nhấn mạnh.

Chia sẻ kinh nghiệm ứng dụng phát triển bền vững tại diễn đàn, ông Binu Jacob, Tổng giám đốc của Nestlé Việt Nam, đồng Chủ tịch Cộng đồng doanh nghiệp phát triển bền vững cho biết, doanh nghiệp này ưu tiên những lĩnh vực mang lại lợi ích kinh doanh phù hợp với lợi ích xã hội, gồm giúp cuộc sống khỏe mạnh và hạnh phúc hơn; giúp phát triển các cộng đồng thịnh vượng và vững mạnh; quản lý tài nguyên cho các thế hệ mai sau.

Trong bài chia sẻ "Hướng đến một cộng đồng thịnh vượng trong một thế giới đầy biến động", các cam kết và sáng kiến phát triển bền vững được đại diện Nestlé Việt Nam cụ thể hoá bằng nhiều câu chuyện thực tiễn.

Năm 2011, Nestlé Việt Nam triển khai dự án phát triển cà phê bền vững Nescafé Plan, phân phối trên 46 triệu cây giống kháng bệnh, năng suất cao tới người nông dân, tái canh 46.000 hecta diện tích cà phê già cỗi. Hơn 260.000 nông dân được tập huấn và đào tạo kỹ thuật canh tác bền vững dưới sự hướng dẫn của các kỹ sư nông nghiệp. Dự án giúp giảm 40% lượng nước tưới, giảm 20% sử dụng phân bón hóa học và thuốc trừ sâu.

Nestlé Việt Nam cũng đồng hành cùng Chính phủ thực hiện Đề án 641 "Đề án tổng thể phát triển thể lực, tầm vóc người Việt giai đoạn 2011-2030". Chương trình "Năng động Việt Nam" đã truyền cảm hứng, phát động phong trào rèn luyện sức khoẻ cho hơn 2,5 triệu trẻ em, hướng tới mục tiêu giúp cuộc sống khỏe mạnh và hạnh phúc hơn.

Ngoài ra mỗi năm, công ty thu mua từ 20-25% tổng sản lượng cà phê của Việt Nam phục vụ sản xuất và xuất khẩu, đóng góp vào nền kinh tế quốc gia khoảng 600 triệu USD mỗi năm thông qua các hoạt động này.

Đại diện Nestlé Việt Nam cũng công bố mục tiêu đến 2030, toàn bộ hoạt động sản xuất của doanh nghiệp sẽ không tác động đến môi trường, giảm một nửa lượng phát thải carbon năm 2030, tiến tới loại bỏ hoàn toàn phát thải năm 2050.

Trong khuôn khổ diễn đàn, Nestle nằm trong top 3 doanh nghiệp sản xuất bền vững, tại Lễ công bố Doanh nghiệp bền vững Việt Nam. Giải thưởng được lựa chọn từ 500 doanh nghiệp, do Hội đồng Doanh nghiệp vì sự phát triển bền vững Việt Nam (VBCSD), thuộc Phòng Thương mại và Công nghiệp Việt Nam (VCCI) tổ chức.

Giải thưởng nhằm ghi nhận thay đổi của doanh nghiệp này trong tăng trưởng kinh tế song hành bảo vệ môi trường, phát triển cộng đồng. Các tiêu chí lựa chọn dựa trên kết quả từ hoạt động kinh doanh, tạo ra công ăn việc làm, đóng góp cho ngân sách nhà nước và sự đóng góp tích cực cho các sáng kiến và chương trình phát triển xã hội và bảo vệ môi trường, phát triển cộng đồng.

Theo đó, Nestlé đã đáp ứng Bộ chỉ số doanh nghiệp bền vững CSI 2020, gồm 127 chỉ số ở 4 lĩnh vực: kết quả phát triển bền vững, quản trị; chỉ số môi trường; và chỉ số lao động.

Ông Binu Jacob, Tổng giám đốc của Nestlé Việt Nam, chia sẻ, 2020 là năm nhiều thách thức và biến động. Covid-19 và tác động của biến đổi khí hậu nhắc nhở rằng thế giới dễ bị tổn thương và có tính liên kết chặt chẽ với nhau như thế nào. Cộng đồng doanh nghiệp cần hợp tác vì sự phát triển bền vững nhằm đem đến sự thịnh vượng lâu dài và ổn định cho toàn xã hội. "Chúng tôi muốn truyền cảm hứng, giúp cộng đồng doanh nghiệp nhận thức và thực thi vai trò của mình", ông Binu nói.
