📍Coolest “Sphere Within Sphere” 🌍and staircase in Rome! 🇮🇹 • Bramante Staircase, Vatican City Museum ℹ️The original Bramante staircase, in the Pio- Clementine Museum, was built in 1505. The modern (pictured here) equivalent was re-designed and built in 1932. ℹ️ In the centre of the Vatican's Cortile della Pigna (Courtyard of the Pinecone), stands a large, bronze sculpture: the Sfera con sfera (Sphere Within a Sphere), the work of the Italian sculptor Arnaldo Pomodoro (1926-). ✅Tip: Be sure walk down these stairs as part of your visit to the Vatican Museum. . . . #vatican #vaticanmuseum #vaticano #vaticancity #italyI #italia #architecturedetail #architecture #architecturephotography #canonphotography #museum #museumphotography #museumvatican #spiral #spiralstairs #stairs #stair #monumental #monuments #monumentalstairs #decorations #decor #spiralstairsarchitecture #architecturestairs #vaticanomuseum #beautiful #beauty #beautyphotography #colorful #perspective (Vatican City, Rome, Italy) https://www.instagram.com/p/CpIzwxqIZOm/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

Una prodigiosa accelerazione del
Genio! 🇮🇹
A prodigious acceleration of genius! Y
This is the impression that comes to anyone who passes through the collections of the #VaticanMuseums.
4 Lightning-fast insights, sparks of beauty, but above all the capacity to anticipate what others would have put into practice centuries later.
This has been done by many of the artists you find in our galleries: to mark a zenith moment in the history of the arts.

Discover Vatican with Touristeroo 🇻🇦👇 Laocoon, a character from Greek mythology, was an inhabitant of Troy, son of Antenor, (or of Capi, according to other versions). He was a seer and high priest of Poseidon, or, according to some sources, of Apollo. It is said that when the Trojans brought the famous Trojan horse into the city, he ran towards it, throwing a spear at it which made its full belly resound; he then uttered the famous phrase Timaeus Danaos et dona ferentes ("I fear the Greeks, even when they bring gifts"). Athena, who sided with the Greeks, punished Laocoon by sending Porcete and Caribea, two enormous sea snakes, which, coming out of the sea, entangled her two children, crushing them. Laocoon tried to come to their aid but suffered the same fate. According to another version, the two snakes were sent by Poseidon, who punished Laocoon for marrying against divine will. The Trojans took this as a sign, thus keeping the horse within their walls. #travel #trip #tripadvisor #viator #vatican #vaticanmuseum #museums #sistinechapel #rzym #laooconte #roma #museivaticani #ватикан #рим #лаокоон #италия #сикстинскаякапелла #italy #italia #italiea #ladolcevita #guide #tour #experience #wheninrome (presso Vatican Museums - Musei Vaticani) https://www.instagram.com/p/Cgcsp-TrnCM/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

Did you know that the Vatican Observatory at the papal summer residence in Castel Gandolfo is one of the oldest astronomical research institutions in the world? Established in 1935, this observatory is equipped with a 1.8-meter reflector telescope that is used to study asteroids, comets, and supernovae. Its unique location overlooking Lake Albano provides excellent viewing conditions for astronomical observations. It fascinating how science and faith can come together to promote understanding and dialogue. #IlikeItaly #Italy #igersitalia #CastelGandolfo #vaticanmuseums #PapalPalaceofCastelGandolfo #PalazzoApostolicodiCastelGandolfo #VaticanObservatory (at Vatican Observatory) https://www.instagram.com/p/CqOKkrqLSj3/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=
