The poster in the manga I was using to draw from had a narrative box blocking out some of the graphics and I didn't see all of the zeros. Just pretend that some graphic artist on Planet Gunsmoke / Noman's Land screwed up or that the ".00" is actually an abbreviation for more double-dollars because they ran out of room - or maybe his bounty was lower at some point, like in the beginning of Trigun Stampede). - Gah, I feel boneheaded for not noticing that until it was too late!

the only difference is their no longer being blamed for stealing plants for obvious reasons.

Okay, but...

Vash’s wanted poster is so funny to me because like, someone feared him so much or hated him so much that they put a bounty on him, and yet, they decided to draw him as a smiley guy who looks cute and cuddly versus cold and serial-killer(ish). Like could you imagine the dialogue between the sketch artist and the person wanting Vash’s head... 

Guy: And he destroyed the whole town. He’s the worst of the worst. A cold-stone killer, a typhoon, a stampede. He destroys everything in his path and is a huge enemy against Chapel. He should be feared by everyone!!

Sketch Artist: Okay, but could you describe him?

finished trigun 1&2 and idk it probably makes more sense to pick up stampede season 2 where trimax starts but i cant stop thinking what if the events of stampede are a direct prequel to the second half of the original manga. like vash comes out of hiding because he hears whispers of knives’ return but he genuinely can’t remember meryl or ww or the specifics of anything leading up to what happened at july. when meryl finds him she says she’s just hanging around because it’s her job but really she’s been searching for him for years and vash finds her presence strangely comforting even though he thinks he doesn’t know her. wolfwood hasn’t been able to leave the eye of michael because of his brother and the kids but he’s a priest now and he’s doing what he can. vash is the one who first sees ww in the desert and there’s a strange itch in his brain when he sees the man in black carrying a cross through the sand. wolfwood is so relieved to see vash again and that’s why his reaction to ‘meeting’ vash is so exuberant and he touches the face of the so-called stranger so familiarly. he’s relieved that meryl also found vash and she and ww share a look of acknowledgement but they can’t talk can’t indicate that they know each other because it raises too many questions but they stick with vash for as long as they can because they missed him so so bad and they know he needs someone looking after him

I've been wondering why Vash and Knives still have similar haircuts, even as adults and here's what I think: Vash has a reason to cut his hair like that. His hair is probably turning black lower on his head. Now, when they were children they had matching haircuts, and we know that Knives wants to restore the relationship to the way it was. I BET that when Knives is keeping tabs on Vash (because of course he is), he knows what Vash looks like and intentionally cuts his hair to be the same. I really think Knives is going out of his way to maintain this last link with Vash, to ensure that if nothing else, they continue to look similar. They may have drifted apart in a thousand other ways, but they will always have the same face. Which is, yes, extremely creepy and not a healthy solution to the rift you created, Knives. But. You Know.

i dont know much about trigun but i think it would be silly if vash and knives (they are brothers?) or vash and wolfwood (lovers? enemies? idk) were drawn like that barbie and ken mugshot meme. From what you post Mr Vash Stampede just seems like ken. little silly guy

Cleaned up the area behind my TV finally so I could move my new bookshelf in.

Which Also means I have the space to put a few posters on its back. Which Means it's time to finally reorganize my posters to put up the mass of trigun things I've collected over the past like 8 months

I've been at it for like an hour now, and I've gotten all my p5 and assorted posters moved to make room for the trigun posters next to my futon (easiest area to see it from, so current primary hyperfixation gets priority with it). This took. Like an hour. God, it's taking so long.

Current trigun posters will also get shuffled, though I have yet to decide on placement. I will report back...later.

Odd little thing I am contemplating for that “Rem Lives” AU fic I started once I get to the relevant plot-areas on it, even if I get that far:  So, I plan for there to be points where Rem Does Crime - with Vash.  Like, they’ll break into Plant facilities to do tampering and repairs on Plants slated for Last Runs to prevent them and despite what they do, they earn rap sheets for trespassing, tampering with government / private property and so forth.  They also do some vigilantism, like intervening to help people out / clear names / prevent unjust executions when the cops are useless.  I may have to think of other crimes that would fit the Chaotic Good category - they do good things, but the powers that be don’t like it.   Of course, Vash’s destructive power and reputation for obliterating towns... part of that comes from good ol’ Nai trailing and taunting him, as in canon and most of the worst of it happens when Rem is taking her coldsleep periods.  I am thinking that with a nickname like “Stampede” there was probably a very funny incident with some toma.   Rem gets a nickname, too, and I’ve thought it out.  It changes over time to become something comic-book ridiculous.  Part of it is after the prosthetic eye she’s going to get in my plot.  (No, I’m not keeping her in a cool eyepatch, I actually need her to take a long surgery downtime for plot-movement reasons). They eye mostly matches her natural one in color, but is just a little off and in the right light the aperture / edge around the iris can look silver.  At some point, her surname is overheard / becomes known, so she becomes “Silver Eye Saverem.”  That gets passed from town to town, but people mis-hear and mispronouce “Sav-er-em” until people refer to her as “The Silver-Eyed Sovereign.”   or “The Silver Sovereign.”  And yes, at some point, the petty trespassing, activist-crimes and breaking up barfights somehow turns into tales of the most vicious and feared serial killers and no one knows if they’re a couple, or a brother-sister pair, or what.
