what does mtmte zeyphyr and rodimus’s relationship look like

I could spend hours talking about relationship dynamics

because someone already asked about the timelines, I'm just going to keep this to when they're actively together.

Due to the fact that Zephyr never really had any autonomy before the lost light, she never really developed the ability to be properly independent. Even if its just causally hanging out with friends, she's just going to follow someone she trusts.

Rodimus, whos shown to be a little manipulative and an enabler doesn't really realize its a problem.

I wouldn't really call them healthy, but not toxic either.

And im okay with that

they learn and grow into something much healthier. Zephyr works through her decision paralysis and Rodimus starts to make decisions for the two of them with "I'm sure Zephyr will enjoy this" instead of "I know Zephyr wont say no to this."

And as someone who does deal with major decision paralysis, its exhausting to power through and sometimes just letting someone you trust take the wheel so you can rest for a moment is really helpful.

side note, I like the idea that Rodimus is very tactile and just uses Zephyr as a fucking stress ball when hes stressed.

Okay, several things.

1) Zephyrs character arc is about learning to trust that others won't take advantage of her, especially when there's something to offer. So her accepting getting a t-cog back is suppose to be a large leap of faith

2) skids trauma power wouldent exactly work given she was using guns up until now and I want my girl the ptsd power up to turn into a tiny orbital laser (I'll work on that comic soon)

3) Due to a lot of upgrades, her body is genuinely not capable of even taking a t-cog that isn't very specific.

4) Velocity very much just violated hippa in disclosing patient information in front of swerve.

what’s influx like

fuck man where do I start.

he was essentially a con man before the war started and once everything started to go to shit he saw the violence and chaos as a way to make money.

He found Zephyr at an abandoned battlefield. kneeling at the body of her handler waiting for someone to tell her what to do.

Zephyr was an incredibly useful tool and very easy to manipulate.

They spend the majority of the war acting as hitmen, flipping between the two sides for whoever pays the most. Influx pulling the trigger and Zephyr making sure they never miss.

It takes a long time for Zephyr to realize that despite his honeyed words, he'll never see her as a person. and it takes even longer to leave him. and when she does, he tries to kill her.

now's a good time to mention that I listened to Labor on repeat while writing her story.

Small thing, I personally headcanon that the t-cog is responsible for alot more small basic things then just transforming between root and alt-mode. The t-cog could probably be removed in a delicate manner that still allowed the previous owner to deal with minimal handicaps. But Zephyr's t-cog was not removed delicately.
