(via Robert F. Kennedy Jr. Admits He Left a Dead Bear in Central Park - The New York Times)
When you really want to bring the WEIRD, search out RFK Jr.
Robert F. Kennedy Jr., the independent presidential candidate, confessed on Sunday that he had left a dead bear cub in Central Park in Manhattan in 2014 because he thought it would be “amusing.”
In the video, Mr. Kennedy appears to be seated in a kitchen as he casually tells the actress Roseanne Barr about the ordeal. He says that he was driving through the Hudson Valley when he saw a woman in a van hit and kill a young bear...
throw in some incidental Rosanne Bizarre, and you got a hell of a story.

Gotta say, now that I'm watching the dub to Bucchigiri, I think it's pretty good, and even tries to clear things up in the dialogue, though not to the high standard of SK8's dub since there's no real standouts like David Wald's performance as ADAM.
The closest though has to be Ricco Fajardo's performance as Matakara. I've been following his roles for a decade now, and I'm impressed by his range across the shows he stars in and he manages to demonstrate that range so well here. Inversely, it's Arajin's VA who's new to voice acting, since this is his first major lead role in a dub.
Also a shout out to Shindo's dub VA for playing his first villain role in years and just delighting in chewing the scenery. It really sounds like he's enjoying this.
Yeah I caught a few of the dub clips on X/Twitter and while I do think that the dub cast isn’t as strong as the ones in SK8 (I WILL GET INTO THE SERIES SOON I PROMISE BUT NOT RIGHT NOW), I don’t mind it as I rather let some new talents shine and see how they perform in the long run. Well most of them are names I never heard of with maybe a few exception (Senya, Mahoro, Akutaro, Ichiya and Matakara).
So I’ll give out my opinions on some of the dub cast:
Arajin (Alex Mai): He isn’t bad by any means. I do like how in Episode 2, he made the scene where Arajin is forcibly pulled by Senya funnier than the original. Can’t wait to hear more of his performance.
Matakara (Ricco Fajardo): I only heard him a few times as Matakara but it is decent. It sounds close to his performance as Pandreo in FE Engage but with a much more mellow tone to it. (I don’t know how would Ricco tackle Corrupted!Matakara but I’ll just wait and see once all episodes are up) It’s a shame he doesn’t even mention or like any BUCCHIGIRI?! posts when I felt that it was a pretty decent role he has (tho then again not every VA’s are chronically online)
Mahoro (Lindsey Seidel): She’s ok so far. But I do think her raspy voice when showing her spiteful side felt a little off compared to the original VA where she just lower a few octaves or so but it’s still an okay-ish performance so far.
Marito (Kieran Fullton)- For a new-ish VA, his performance for Marito is just as close to the Japanese performance. I like how he balances out Marito’s playful side but also his sneakiness in some parts such as in the scene of Episode 2 where he asked Matakara about Arajin’s whereabouts before he gleefully says he is going to make him join Siguma.
Senya (Chris Guerrero)- I agent heard much but he does seem to act out the best he can. The part in Episode 2 where he managed to perfectly replicate the performance in the original where Senya is acting like a meow meow is just 👌🏻
Zabu (Daniel Van Thomas)- I think he’s ok but I do have certain issues in that I felt that his voice felt way too deep for a 16-17 year old boy. Still, it’s a decent performance but I preferred the original better (Sorry 😅)
Komao (James Marler)- I think he’s ok from the few clips I’ve seen, almost as close to the JP VA performance but still having some few differences here and there.
Outa (Wyatt Baker)- Can’t say much tbh. (Sorry)
Jabashiri (Alex Hom)- He’s alright so far. I only heard a bit of him back in Apothecary Diaries so it’s a bit surprising he was chosen to play Jabashiri.
Hagure (Van Barr Jr.)- Can’t say much tbh but I do like some of his performances from the few clips I caught of him.
Akutaro (Aaron Dismuke)- I do like his performance as Akutaro, sounds almost close to the original as well esp in that clip in Episode 6 where he ‘thanked’ the whole of Minato Kai and Siguma Squad for being close to his goal.
Overall, those are just my thoughts on the dub VA performance.

In the video, Kennedy says he picked up the carcass and put it in his van, planning to skin it and eat it later. However, he ran out of time to take the bear home before having to catch a flight. Kennedy said he and the group he was with – some of whom had been drinking – then came up with a plan to take an old bike he happened to have in his van and place the bear’s carcass in Central Park to make it look like the bear had been hit by a bike, taking advantage of a recent rash of bicycle crashes in New York. “We thought it would be amusing for whoever found it,” Kennedy said. “The next day it was on every television station,” Kennedy said to Barr. “I was like, ‘Oh my god, what did I do?’ “I was worried because my prints were all over that bike … Luckily, the story died down after awhile.” He and Barr shared a laugh as he said that the New Yorker had found out about his role in the event. “It’s gonna be a bad story,” he said. It’s the latest bizarre incident in Kennedy’s quixotic campaign that has divided his famous family and left Republicans and Democrats alike concerned about his potential impact on the presidential contest. Some other notable events include Kennedy acknowledging a parasite that lodged in his brain and died. He also denied eating a dog after a friend shared a photo with Vanity Fair magazine showing Kennedy dramatically preparing to take a bite of a charred animal; Kennedy said it was a goat.

So the TWEWY anime English dub had a lot of great moments in episode 3. Van Barr Jr. did a great job voicing Beat here since this is the episode where Rhyme gets erased. And personally, I'm glad they had a Black voice actor voice Beat in the dub because he always sounded Black in my head.

RFK Jr says he was behind dumping dead bear in NY Central Park
New Post has been published on https://sa7ab.info/2024/08/06/rfk-jr-says-he-was-behind-dumping-dead-bear-in-ny-central-park/
RFK Jr says he was behind dumping dead bear in NY Central Park
Independent US presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr said in a video posted online on Sunday that he dumped a dead bear in New York City’s Central Park a decade ago and staged it to look like a bike had hit it.
Kennedy suggested in the video, which was posted on social media platform X that he is trying to get ahead of a not-yet-published story from the New Yorker.
“Looking forward to seeing how you spin this one, @NewYorker…” Kennedy posted on his X account with a video of himself at a kitchen table talking to comedian Roseanne Barr.
Kennedy said in the video that he was driving to the Hudson Valley in New York State when a woman in a van in front of him hit a young bear and killed it. He put the bear’s body into the back of his car because he was going to skin the bear and store its meat at his house, he said.
But after a late dinner at the Peter Luger Steak House in New York City, he had to go straight to the airport and did not want to leave the bear in his vehicle.
“I had an old bike in my car that somebody asked me to get rid of. I said, ‘Let’s go put the bear in Central Park, and we’ll make it look like he got hit by a bike,'” he said and then laughed, saying it would be “amusing” for whoever found it.
The Kennedy campaign did not immediately comment further on the incident.
In October 2014, the body of a black bear cub was found in the bushes of Central Park, and police launched a criminal investigation into the death.
Foul play was suspected in the case, Reuters reported at the time, and state wildlife officials later concluded it was likely struck and killed by a vehicle.
Kennedy said in the video that the New Yorker had asked him about the incident and was planning on doing a “big article” about him.
The New Yorker did not immediately respond to an emailed request for comment.
In a recent Reuters/Ipsos poll, 8% of voters favoured Kennedy. However, he has yet to qualify for the ballot in many states ahead of the 5 November election.

RFK Jr. Dumps Dead Bear Cub on What Remains of Kennedy Legacy
A decade after the shocking discovery of a bear cub carcass in Manhattan’s Central Park, the mystery of who dumped it there has finally been solved. Apparently the person who did it is weird-as-shit conspiracy theorist and presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. Kennedy told the outlandish story to Rosanne Barr of all people in a three minute video, saying that he came upon the cub after a driver in front of him fatally hit it. “So I pulled over and I picked up the bear and put him in the back of my van, because I was gonna skin the bear,” he explains matter-of-factly. “It was in very good condition and I was gonna put the meat in my refrigerator.” Unable to get the cub back to his house after a busy day of events, Kennedy decided to stage the bear in Central Park as if it had been hit by a bike. This story, when combined with Kennedy's other erratic beliefs and behavior has completely sullied his longshot bid to be president, and taken a nice big bear-sized dump on the political legacy of a once great family.

The New York Times Emma G. Fitzsimmons Aug. 4, 2024
Robert F. Kennedy Jr., the independent presidential candidate, confessed on Sunday that he had left a dead bear cub in Central Park in Manhattan in 2014 because he thought it would be “amusing.”
Mr. Kennedy posted a video detailing the bizarre story on social media apparently ahead of an article in The New Yorker.
“Looking forward to seeing how you spin this one,” he said, tagging the magazine.
In the video, Mr. Kennedy appears to be seated in a kitchen as he casually tells the actress Roseanne Barr about the ordeal. He says that he was driving through the Hudson Valley when he saw a woman in a van hit and kill a young bear.
“I pulled over and I picked up the bear and put him in the back of my van because I was going to skin the bear,” he says. “It was very good condition and I was going to put the meat in my refrigerator.”
Mr. Kennedy then details how he had to attend a dinner at Peter Luger Steak House in New York City and then head to the airport, which meant he had to get rid of the bear. He decided to leave the bear in Central Park with an old bicycle to make it look like it had been hit by the bike.
Mr. Kennedy says that he was worried when officials investigated the crime scene, “because my prints were all over that bike.”
Ms. Barr listens closely to the story, laughing and looking shocked. Mr. Kennedy tells her that fact checkers from The New Yorker asked him about the story: “It’s going to be a bad story.”
Indeed, the bear cub caused quite a stir when it was found in the park in 2014, as reported in The New York Times in an article coincidentally written by Tatiana Schlossberg, a reporter for The Times at that time, and the daughter of Mr. Kennedy’s first cousin Caroline Kennedy. A woman was walking her dog in Central Park when she noticed it lying under some bushes, partly concealed by an abandoned bicycle. The cub was 6 months old and 44 pounds.
The state’s Department of Environmental Conservation later found through a necropsy that the cause of death was “blunt force injuries consistent with a motor vehicle collision.”
Ms. Schlossberg said on Sunday evening, “Like law enforcement, I had no idea who was responsible for this when I wrote the story.”
Mr. Kennedy did not appear to confess that he was behind the incident until now. He tried to explain the unusual circumstances to Ms. Barr in the video: “This was a little bit of the redneck in me.”
