Anyway, is this a good time to say that Frits van Amersfoort (founder/team boss of Van Amersfoort Racing, who Max drove for in F3 in 2014, and then Charles in 2015) when asked why Charles is often not included in conversations next to Max, said:
“Charles has won everything there is to win, up to and including GP2 – or Formula 2 – but Charles is a Ferrari driver, and at Ferrari, it is all about Ferrari, and not like at Red Bull, where it is all about Max. That is, in my opinion, the big difference between the two, why Charles still regularly has to bite the dust.” (x)
I am once again begging this prancing horse team to get their shit together and give him the opportunities he deserves!

Inspired by @/mama_gforce (twitter)'s 2025 Indycar silly season chart I decided to make one for #formula3 with all of the announcements today!
Obviously, it's less exciting since there aren't a ton of rumors going around. Plus i don't know f3 super well so I'm not sure i'd be the greatest at making predictions for the various seats. Also f3 seats are only for that season so it's not as thrilling cuz they'll probably chance for the next season. But i still thought this would be fun and help keep track of all the seats.
Will probably make one for f2 2025 seats. It just didn't seem worth it when the only two confirmed for 2025 are Arvid and Leo LOL

Can't imagine how hard it's also been for the VAR F2 drivers after what happened yesterday in Spa.
JM obviously getting massively reminded of his own accident at Spa and Richard apparently knew Dilano quite well.
So massive respect to them (and of course all of the other drivers that were affected by the events in Spa) and congrats to Richard for the win. Was nice that he dedicated the win to Dilano.

Amersfoort Ch F: M. Tomas Barrios Vera def. Alexey Zakharov [Q] 6-2, 6-1 Match Stats
Tumblr media
📸 ATP official website
It was an almost flawless showing for Barrios Vera, whose aggression carried him through the entire match. Hitting with more depth and intention, Barrios Vera overwhelmed A. Zakharov through some notable passes, bringing the latter off-balance right from the start of the match, especially since the Chilean kicked it off with a forehand return ace. This way, Barrios Vera created 10 break points and converted 50% of them compared to A. Zakharov, who neither created or converted his break points after being overwhelmed with Barrios Vera's hitting all-match.
Besides, it was an excellent serving day for Barrios Vera in this match. Even though he did not score an ace compared to A. Zakharov's 3, the Chilean had an outstanding first serves winning percentage with 90%, 42% more than A. Zakharov, as it helped him getting out of some troubles. In contrast, this left A. Zakharov's second serves even more vulnerable as he could only win 39% of his second serve points, 42% lesser than Barrios Vera throughout the entire match.
This marked Barrios Vera's maiden Challenger-level title of the year, propelling his rank back to 163 live as he steadily picked up where he left off. This could be an intriguing one moving forward, given the tennis competition in the Summer Olympics will start next weekend as Barrios Vera partook as the Pan-American Games silver medalist. On the other hand, A. Zakharov would be ranked 339 live, reaching his new career-high after several setbacks. What a week for both players.
