Love Hate & Other Filters
Love Hate & Other Filters by: Samira Ahmed is a brilliant rom-com. This book will make you laugh, but It will also make you reflect on how your actions impact others and not just yourself. Love Hate & Other Filters is about a seventeen-year-old girl named Maya Aziz who it torn between worlds. There is the proper one that her Indian parents expect her to be, and another world where she goes to New York and becomes a director. But then a horrific crime in her town turns her life upside down. The community she’s known since birth becomes unrecognizable; neighbors and classmates are consumed with fear, bigotry, and hatred. Maya must be strong and resilient to determine where she truly belongs. If you love a good funny heartbreaking story you should definitely read this book!
Credit: I want to give credit to the author for making an amazing book! I did take some inspiration from the synopsis.

Black Lives Matter ✊🏾
I just wanted to say that I believe that black lives matter, and that I stand with the protesters. George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, Ahmaud Arbery, Rayshard Brooks, and many more shouldn’t have been killed. I feel like this movement should’ve happened a long time ago but I know just like Sam Cooke sang: Change gonna come.

Monday’s Not Coming
Monday’s Not Coming by: Tiffany D. Jackson is an amazing book that I recommend. When I read the first page I instantly fell in love! Monday’s not coming is about a girl named Claudia who has a best friend named Monday. Claudia starts to think that Monday is missing since Monday hasn’t been responding to her letters that she sends her in the summer. Monday also hasn’t been showing up to school and neither have her siblings. Claudia tries to tell her parents that something is wrong but nobody  believes her  until they find her dead body a year later. This story will give you so many different emotions in one chapter. I love how Tiffany D. Jackson gives her story’s so many details that you actually believe that Claudia exists! If your looking for a good quarantine read I definitely recommend Monday’s Not Coming!
