I finally got around to reading my Vampire Hunter D ebooks so I wanted to do a little fanart of everyone's favorite pretty dhampir~

I decided to look into Greylancer's outfit a little
#vampire hunter d#vhd#the noble greylancer#the noble v greylancer#it's not that i claim to be 100% accurate#in fact i found out that he has at least three jackets/coats in nv:g#and two capes#and that absolutely feral costume from the cover illustration of the second book#sometimes he doesn't wear that bat wing shoulder pad because it's part of his armor#and wears the cape on both shoulders when he doesn't need to fight#i'm sure he has these three outfits of the same style hanging in his closet#he doesn't need anything else#i always remember what dulcinea called him tasteless hick in the second book#i also like the difference between the characters illustration at the beginning of the first and second books#five years passed and he finally learned what a comb is#and nightmare village..... i never finished it.....

Getting deeply into a new Japanese series is always dangerous because eventually I'll uncover the pile of unlocalized text documents and have to rip myself away before I start drafting up translation manuscripts
#textpost#LUCKILY Vampire Hunter D is very popular here in the west so the novels are actively being translated into English#UNLUCKILY there are many art books and interviews that will not be localized#UNLUCKIER I cannot seem to find the VHD fan translator community which leads me to believe there likely is not one#UNLUCKIEST I am unwell and very badly want to cheat on Guilty Gear by translating documents for another series#I will not do this. I must be strong. My to-do list is already long enough I don't need to bring VHD into the picture
