This is a part of my Monster Town series. Part one can be found here

Most monsters can be categorized in one of these three categories:

Humanoids

Humanoids look identical or nearly identical to humans. Any powers they have maintain their form.

Robin- Ghost; when she “goes ghost” her general shapes stay the same, even though she’s invisible and can go through surfaces

Will/Johnathan- Banshees; when they scream, their scleras turn black and their irises turn yellow. Otherwise, they look the same

Glamorists

Glamorists have a generally humanoid shape, but with noticeably inhuman features. Because of this, they have to wear glamours (think TOH galderstones) to cover up. Glamour charms usually last up to 1-2 years, which means they must find a local witch to renew it (The more specialized to them though, the better) before it fizzles out.

Eddie- Witch; pointed ears, fangs (top and bottom), purple slightly-glowing eyes (color varies per witch, and is the color of their magic)

Max- Dryad; moth wing-like ears, blunt fangs, clear “blood” (sap), (if one looks close) bark-textured skin

Lucas/Erica- Vampires; pointed ears, dark claw-like nails, double sets of fangs (top only) crimson glowing eyes (color varies vamp to vamp)

El- Angel; large white feathered wings, halo light she can summon at will

Shifters

Shifters usually have two forms (but can have more) and can generally shift at will anywhere between any of those (depending on species-specific restrictions). Their monster form is considered their “natural form,” as if their human form is like a physical glamour.

If shifters spend too long completely in human form, they’ll spontaneously shift back to natural form, as well as other species-specific side effects. In order to stop this, many shifters will “half shift” to a humanoid form with monstrous features.

Steve; Siren- his parents coaxed him into a masochistic habit of “binding” his form to the point where he’s used to and doesn’t realize he’s unhealthy

Dustin; Werewolf- his mom formally taught him how to form shift, but Steve got him more comfortable with it and taught him half-shifting

Argyle; Shapeshifter- his human form is his natural form, with his second form being “the unknown”

Nancy and Mike are humans descended from Valkyries. Because of this, they have extra insight and can physically comprehend magic like monsters. Nancy is also really good at persuading people to tell the truth.

Because Hawkins is a monster town, Glamorists don’t need to wear glamours, and depending on their natural forms, Shifters can half shift or go fully natural without weird looks or persecution.

Mike Wheeler - Human

Comes from a hunting family but refuses to take part due to his supernatural connections, has a fair few hunting skills up his sleeve 'just in case'

Lucas Sinclair - Werewolf

Triggered his curse in 1986 because of Jason's death (he fought him and knocked him down so technically he's responsible???), hates turning on a full moon but loves all the perks

Dustin Henderson - Human

The human of the group (less like Matt Donovan, more like Stiles Stilinski from Teen Wolf)

Max Mayfield - Human (untriggered werewolf)

Inherited the gene from her dad and doesn't intend to trigger her curse any time soon (she's also in her coma and is unaware of Lucas triggering his curse)

Erica Sinclair - Human (untriggered werewolf)

When she found out from Lucas that she has a 'werewolf gene', she was ecstatic and wanted to trigger her curse ASAP. Then she saw Lucas during his first full moon... she vowed never to trigger her curse.

The Eleven Clan, Hawkins' only resident vampire clan.

This clan consists of only vampires who were turned by El, or who were turned by people that were turned by El. Except El herself of course, who will also be appearing in another photoset.

So supernatural au for Stranger things. Well, it's a more unnatural version. Still with the Upside Down, just a different version!

Season 1--->

The Wheelers were human, and Nancy was shown how to protect herself at a young age. But she befriends a banshee Barbara Holland and keeps to herself for the most part. But she falls for Steve Harrington, who was a siren. People warn her away, tell her that it's just because he's spelling her to love him.

Barb is the most protective. So she goes with Nancy to Steve's. Even though she's been feeling off since the youngest of the Byers pack went missing. And when she goes up with Steve, she swears she can hear Barb's scream.

Afterward, Nancy talks to Jonathan Byers from the Byers' pack, and they go looking for their friends/family. Only when they go looking, Nancy finds a weird portal. When she goes in, she's sees a creature she doesn't know. Before Jonathan's able to get her out there, it bites her.

And that night, she feels her body change. Jonathan is with her as Demagorgan's bite changes Nancy. The small scars form on her face, letting her face open up. Her nails are able to lengthen into talons. Jonathan walks her through dealing with the transformations, and Nancy develops a close bond to him.

And after everything goes down, she joins the Byers' pack. But other than that, nothing changes.

Season 2 --->

The next year, as the demodogs start acting up, Nancy, who's already struggling with Barb's death, snaps under it all. She yells at Steve and blames him for using his sirens call on her. How they couldn't really be in love and that it was all just bullshit. She goes to Jonathan, and it all stays the same.

Steve is stopped by Dustin Henderson, a young satyr. The boy had been trying to take care of a young creature, and it had escaped. Steve agreed and grabbed the trusty nail bat he had gotten from Jonathan.

They still go to the junk yard. Steve still protects them. Lucas, the young Gorgon and Max, the young Harpy. Before they head back to the Byers with the rest of the group.

And when Hopper, the human chief of police sees the young fae girl whom he had taken in, a new version of hell breaks loose. Steve, thankfully, is left in charge of the kids since a siren wasn't known for fighting (no matter how much Steve proved that he was strong).

And when Billy, the argogant werewolf, shows up, Steve protects them. He is doing his best, but Max still saves his ass. But he's brought into the younger kids' party/pack after that. Afterward, they headed into the tunnels, and Dustin was able to speak softly to Dart in his satyr speak.

Season 3--->

Has Steve with a witch Robin at Scoops. With Dustin pulling them into the Russian conspiracy. Then Erica joins as well later on. It has Steve trying to use his siren song on the Russians, but since Steve hadn't used a drip of it since Nancy, it comes out wrong and doesn't work. Robin is able to heal him a little, but without her herbs and books, she's trapped as well.

Little Gorgon Erica saves them by turning the doctor to stone, and Dustin gets them out.

Season --->

Eddie Munson is a known vampire. His dad had been one before he went feral from accidentally taking to much blood from his wife and killed himself in his greif.

That made Eddie half vampire, the other half human. But when Chrissy the sweet merfolk die in his living room, Eddie is quick to be blamed. He goes into hiding and is relieved when Dustin finds him.

And Steve, who had sworn off dating in fear of never being able to be with someone who truly loves him, falls for Eddie. And well, with Vampires' ability to charm others as well, he can't be charmed, and they can trust that they love each other for who they are.

A 20-year-old human Eddie is part of the doomed Roanoke settlement; it is attacked by vampires; this is the start of his second undead life

Beginning of the 18th Century

A Romanian witch invents the witchfire spell, the only way to hurt a vampire

1836

You briefly meet an adversary, not a witch but not a human

You cross paths with the adversary (revealed to be a vampire) a second time whilst cleansing crystals

A third meeting with the vampire is not a coincidence; you are friends

The friendship turns romantic, and you learn the vampire's name is Edward; you nickname him Eddie

(Approx. 2 months have passed) Although the tension between the vampire colony and your coven is rising, you and Eddie continue to fall in love

Eddie's vampire colony attacks the village and witches, unbeknownst to you and Eddie

It is decided that Eddie should run as he will not fight with his colony but going against them is a death sentence

Penelope, Sally, and Gillian capture Eddie; you defend him; ultimately, Eddie is sentenced to a transformation hex, becoming a bat and losing his memories; Penelope, Sally, and Gillian take your memories of Eddie, along with Fern's

1840

You act as bait to lure vampires (whom you hate "with every fiber of your being") into traps; trapped vampires are experimented on to find a method to kill them

1843

Penelope creates a spell that kills a vampire - previously an impossible task

The war between the coven and the vampires starts in earnest, you thrive, filled with bloodlust

1845

The coven leaves the flatlands (Hawkins) under desperate circumstances after "...nine years of violence" but the vampires have been entirely eradicated

1986 Circa the end of March, beginning of April

A bat watches over Hawkins

[Day 1] You arrive in the town to offer aid to the wounded

[Day 2] A healing spell cures the bat of Vecna's poison but awakens consciousness within him

[Day 3] The day is spent healing and helping, you meet Erica Sinclair and heal her suspicious wounds

[Day 4] Magic ingredients and supplies are sourced from all across the state in a day-long trip

[Day 5] A spell unhexes the bat temporarily, revealing a man who runs away

[Day 6] After you spend the day helping the town, the bat returns seeking help again; you cast the healing spell for a second time and the man runs

[Day 7] Forest Hills Trailer Park pets and wild animals are being killed; after casting the healing spell again, the vampire stays, and you bring him a dying dog; the vampire helps you bury the dog; a spell finds his name - Edward

[Day 8] Vecna attacks the wider community of Hawkins, and you once again go to help the wounded and traumatised; the unhexing of the vampire is postponed

[Day 9] After spending yesterday and all night helping, you return home late in the day

[Day 10] You perform a spell to unhex the vampire and begin to get to know Eddie; he leaves during the night with the promise to return

[Somewhere in Hawkins, just prior to Day 11] Steve Harrington dies at the hands of Vecna; the Party decides to come to you for help

[Day 11] The Party arrives and you agree to help and hatch a plan to kill Vecna; you create a spell/potion to heal-to-kill Vecna, then sleep through the day; that night, you join the humans in battle against Vecna; later Eddie arrives and together you and he kill Vecna

[Day 12] You arrive home in the very early hours of the morning, once again sleeping through the day; upon waking you work with Eddie to date his hexing between 1830-1843; you have a brief phone conversation with Kelsey, lying about unhexing Eddie; that night, you and Eddie take a trip to Walmart to finally get supplies, you are injured; Eddie and you kiss, the blood he tastes unlocks his memories - he remembers everything while you fall asleep

[Day 13] You speak to The Witches Who Came Before and learn a lot; you realise Eddie has remembered but before you can really react, Nancy Wheeler, Robin Buckley, and Dustin Henderson visit and ask for a seance with Steve, you agree; later that night, you perform a memory recovery spell

[Day 14] You wake up with all your memories

[Days stop being tracked daily] You and Eddie spend time together over hours, days, weeks

Circa July

You master the art of turning Eddie into a bat temporarily; you use this spell as part of your protection spell for him

Circa August

Finally, you return home to your coven

After much discussion and danger, you defect from the coven, taking a small group of witches with you

Circa the end of August, beginning of September

You are back in Hawkins with Eddie, living an uneventful life

October

Dustin Henderson visits with an invitation to a Halloween party

You take back ownership of the plains and forest from the government, returning it to the rightful Native American peoples

Homes are magically built, ready for the coven to move in

The coven arrive and Halloween is spent with the humans

November

You, Eddie, and Ev use magic to enchant one of Eddie's rings; he now has the power to touch a human and see their greatest sin; an unpredicted consequence is you feeling the pain of death each time the spell is used

1987

The new year breaks and Eddie has an important question for you

Imagine A Witch With The Bloodlust Of A Vampire

It was just Robin and Steve down there in the Russian Underground Bunker, tied back to back. Steve was still bloodied up and beaten to a pulp, healing slower than usual for some reason, maybe the Russians tampered with his healing or something?

Around half an hour an hour ago, those Commie bastards had injected both Robin and Steve with separate serums, maybe they injected him with wolfsbane? How on earth did they know he was a wolf?

Which raises the question, if they injected wolfsbane into Steve, what the hell did they inject Robin with?

“What did they inject us with, Steve?” Robin asks him, almost reading his mind.

“I don’t know.” Steve admits. “But what I do know is that I don’t wanna stay here for another second. Can’t you do some witchy juju or something?”

Robin scoffs. “Okay, first off, I’m a siphoner, not a witch, huge difference. And secondly there’s nothing to channel around here.”

Steve thinks for a long minuet before responding. “Channel me.”

“What.”

“Channel me, I’m a wolf.”

“Hold on, wait a minute!” Robin exclaims. “You’re a werewolf? You’ve been a werewolf this entire time?”

“Yeah, yeah, it’s not usually something to be proud of, I don’t go around blurting it out to everyone.” Steve explains and tries to calm. Robin down. “Can you just get us outta here and I’ll explain everything.”

Robin sighs.

Before she could do anything, the door opens and Colonel Ozerov and his team of Russian doctors enter the room and begin examining Robin.

“What are you doing to her? Hey! What are you doing to her!” Steve demands, but the Russians ignore him.

“The blood has been in her system for half an hour, now.” A Russian doctor states in Russian.

“Great, let’s move on to phase two.” Ozerov replies.

“What are you two dinguses talking ab-”

Before Robin could finish her sentence, she felt a cold blade swipe against her throat, before feeling a warm liquid trickle down her neck.

“Robin? Robin! What did you do to her, what did you do!” Steve screams as he hears his friends choked breathing. “Robin, no!”

 “Your friend is dead, wolf.” Ozerov informs him. “For the time being, anyway.”

Steve lifts his head up, holding back his sobs for a few moments. “What do you mean?” The Russians just smirk and exit the room, leaving Steve in there with Robin’s dead body. “Hey! Hey, what do you assholes mean?!”

An hour passes, and Robin is still sat there, head hanging forward as the blood around her neck begins to dry.

Steve is still sat there in shock, both at the fact that Robin is dead and that he’s sat behind her corpse.

“Robin, I’m sorry. I’m so sorry.” Steve sniffles. “I should have never got you caught up in all this. I should have told go to go away when you asked if you could translate that stupid Russian code.” Steve scoffs. “Look where that code got us now, right in the middle of-”

Steve is interrupted by Robin’s gasp of breath, desperate for air.

“Robin?”

Robin coughs and clears her throat, she looks at her uniform to see the blood and starts to panic. “What? W-what happened? Why am I covered in blood?”

Steve’s face pales at it dawns on his what’s happening. The Russians injected Steve with wolfsbane, and they injected Robin with vampire blood.

Steve takes a deep breath. "Robin, I need you to listen to me and I need you to stay calm, okay?"

"O-Okay"

"Those bastards injected you with vampire blood before they killed you?"

"K-Killed me? Killed me?" Robin asks, confused and panicked. "Am I dead?"

"Technically."

"Then, how-"

"Robin, if a person has vampire blood in their system when they die, they go into transition." Steve explains. "Either you drink blood within twenty-four hours or... you die, permanently."

Robin gasps at the realisation that she in transition, whatever that means, and the fact that she must either drink human blood or die.

"Wait, what happens after I drink blood? Steve?"

"You become a vampire."

"Wrong." Steve and Robin turn to look at Colonel Ozerov opening the door. "She'll be a unique breed, one that's so unheard, they're not on record."

"What are you talking about?" Robin demands.

"You see, it's impossible for a person to be both a witch and a vampire, but it is possible to be both siphoner and vampire."

"So you just turned against her will to be your little experiment." Steve scoffs. "Classy, dude."

"Summon me when you are done." Colonel Ozerov tells to the doctor before leaving the room.

Steve notices that the doctor is pouring some blood in a cup and momentarily panics.

"Robin, listen to me, okay?" Steve pleads. "You don't have to drink that blood if you don't want to. I totally understand not wanting to be vampire. I mean, Jonathan and Hargrove make it look easy, but-"

"Steve, trust me on this."

"Huh?"

The doctor stalks his way to Robin and practically pours the blood down her throat, and Robin lets him?

"Rob? You doing okay?"

Robin swallows the last bit of blood in her mouth, completing her transition. "I'm fine, Steve. Still a little hungry."

With her newfound strength, Robin breaks her hands free from her restraints and grabs the doctor, putting him close before tearing into his neck. It only takes a few seconds for her to drain him dry before throwing the doctor's body to the floor.

"Woah, what a rush!" Robin laughs.

"How you feeling?"

"Amazing, great, energised! It's like a battery charge." Robin manages to free herself from the rest of her restraints and heads over to Steve. "Can you free yourself?"

"I can't, it's the wolfsbane in my system."

"Right, right. Uh..." As Robin breaks Steve from his restraints, Dustin and Erica rush in.

"Ahhhh! W-Where are the evil Russians that we're supposed to save you from?"

"Robin ate him." Dustin looks at the doctor then looks at Robin, who shows Dustin her fangs.

"You transitioned?"

"Yeah, I'm a vamp!" Robin smiles.

"Well, part siphoner-part vampire." Steve explains.

"Oh, yeah. I'm totally a freak of nature now. I wanna take this super-speed thingy on a test drive!" Robin laughs then vamp-speeds out of the room, testing her new abilities.

"Robin!"

A/N: For @steddie-week day 5. This is kind of a sequel to yesterday’s fic (So Sorry), but you don’t have to have read that one to get this one. :D

Summary: The world knows a lot about famous guitarist and singer Eddie Munson, including things about his husband, but there is so much they don’t see as well.

Everyone knows that Eddie Munson of Corroded Coffin fame is a freak – his own description, not ours. Famous for hard rock and weathering the storm of being outed as bisexual during the band’s rise to fame, Munson is anything but average.

Not least of all because he still looks no more than twenty-five even though he’s in his forties. When asked about his lasting good looks he either responds with something along the lines of ‘It’s all the good sex’ or simply ‘I’m a vampire’. There was even that one story from the early nineties of a groupie sneaking onto the group’s tour bus and finding real blood in the refrigerator.

The band did a whole photoshoot with fake fangs and fake blood after that one to make a point, and their next music video was very gothic.

That Munson once stopped a large and heavy speaker tower from falling on the band’s drummer Gareth Emerson with apparently no effort helped fuel the rumours. He just claimed adrenaline and leverage were on his side before threatening to sue the festival they had been performing at.

What fewer people know is Munson’s long-time partner and now husband, is also on the eccentric side. Steve Harrington is a fixture with the group. Often assumed to be a roadie in the early days of the band, Harrington is never far from Munson’s side, and has several writing credits on the band’s albums. Often hiding behind dark glasses, Harrington remains just as youthful as his husband, and never gives interviews.

There have been a few peculiar stories about him over the years, including that he always travels with a baseball bat studded with nails somewhere close by. One fan even claimed to have taken a picture of it in the trunk of his car.

“It’s for monster fighting, of course,” Munson famously said when asked about it in one interview.

The couple have a rich and close social group, including the Pulitzer Prize winning journalist Nancy Wheeler and her long term partner, photojournalist Johnathan Byers, physicists & computing pioneers Dustin & Suzie Henderson-Bingham, basketball star Lucas Sinclair and his sister, youngest ever serving congresswoman Erica Sinclair, renown UN negotiator Robin Buckley, fantasy author Mike Wheeler and his long term partner, illustrator and graphic artist Will Byers, actress and director Jane ‘EL’ Hopper, and vocal children’s law advocate Max Mayfield.

Members of ‘The Party’ as they refer to themselves were involved in the tragedies which overtook the small town of Hawkins Indiana in the early to mid-80s. According to several of them, the events that took place there have bonded them together forever no matter how far across the planet they spread.

This can be seen in connections such as Munson’s band Corroded Coffin being contracted to do the soundtrack for two of Hopper’s breakout movies. Or the benefit concert Munson and Harrington organised, calling on friends in the music industry, to raise money and awareness for Mayfield’s children’s charity.

This list goes on. It seems there is little these incredibly successful people will not do for each other.

However, when asked what keeps him going and striving for bigger and better things, Eddie Munson’s answer since the pair came out as a couple has always been ‘Steve’. Unlike some celebrity marriages, this one seems built on very sure foundations.

Eddie put down the article after reading it out over the breakfast table.

“Stevie, you’re a freak now too,” Eddie said with a laugh.

“Still not a nerd though,” Steve replied, peering over the top of his dark glasses.

Ever since Eddie had carried him out of the Upside Down, turning him into a vampire to save his life, Steve hadn’t been able to deal with bright light. And their kitchen was definitely bright. It was something Eddie had never suffered from, which Steve was thankful for given Eddie’s career choice, although Eddie had his own idiosyncrasies to deal with.

“Your book collection begs to differ,” Eddie told him with a grin.

“Lots of those are Mike’s,” he defended himself.

“Sweetheart, one of the rooms in this house is a library, I don’t think you can blame that all on Mike,” his husband replied, laughing at him again.

“I don’t know, he’s a creative little shit,” he said, grinning back.

“Big shit these days, he’s taller than both of us. Isn’t his latest book launch party coming up soon?” Eddie asked.

“First Thursday of next month,” he replied.

“That’s next Thursday,” Eddie said, eyes going comically wide.

“I know,” Steve said.

“Shit, I’ve got nothing to wear,” Eddie said, pushing his chair away from the table. “I can’t turn up in anything I’ve worn before, the press would eat me alive.”

Steve watched his ridiculous husband scramble away fondly, slowly counting in his head. He got to thirty before Eddie appeared back in the kitchen doorway.

“It’s a costume party, isn’t it?” Eddie said.

Steve nodded.

“And Mike already allocated us costumes, didn’t he?” Eddie added.

“Yep,” Steve replied. “Now how about you come sit back down and finish breakfast?”

Eddie slunk back in and folded gracefully into his chair.

“How do you keep all this shit straight in your head?” he asked, picking up his glass of juice.

“I’m not writing the next billboard smash in the back of my brain while doing everything else,” Steve said and grinned. “All I have to do is look pretty, it’s easy.”

He blew his husband a kiss.

“You keep telling yourself that, Mr I-know-the-security-systems-of-every-stadium-better-than-the-guys-paid-to,” Eddie shot back. “And keep fluttering your eyelashes at me like that and neither of us are getting to finish breakfast.”

“Maybe I’m not hungry for food,” he said with a tiny, innocent smile.

He began counting in his head again. Eddie only had so much self-control and Steve always enjoyed snapping it.
