Growth Vs Value Stock Investing: Which strategy is best for you?
When investing in the stock market, choosing between value and growth stocks is a key decision. Value stocks represent companies that are currently undervalued but have strong fundamentals. These companies typically offer stable earnings and pay dividends, making them a favorite for long-term investors looking for steady growth.
On the other hand, growth stocks come from companies expected to expand rapidly. These companies reinvest their profits to fuel further growth, often resulting in higher stock prices and potential for significant capital appreciation. However, growth stocks tend to be more volatile.
The right strategy depends on your risk tolerance and financial goals. A balanced portfolio that includes both value and growth stocks can help diversify your investments and provide long-term stability and growth opportunities.

I love your rose cuz of her big eyebrows 💔
trust that life is all about change and transformation, nothing will ever stay the same, even that which appears stagnant is slowly being corroded and degraded into new, fresh form, and the only constant in life is that what you have now is not yours forever
except for how I draw rose's eyebrows. that will never change
#if DANNY'S ROSE'S EYEBROWS was a stock you could trade it would be certifiably safe#safer than US bonds type shit#a reliable investment with minimal return value but u know its worth what it is worth#rose lalonde#txt

In case anyone else has the brain worm that makes them want exact details anytime people talk numbers, in Too Much Birthday the offer to buy Kendall out says that he has 12,904,663 shares of Waystar (worth ~2bil at $156/share), so assuming he didn't sell any stock after that and also that Shiv and Roman all had an equal stake, which the show implies, that means that when they sell the company at $192/share in the finale, each of the siblings gets just under $2.5 billion, half of it in Gojo stock, not counting whatever they inherit from Logan.
#this is way higher than the combined 3 bil they say they said they'd have when they're trying to buy Pierce but the deal is#a 50/50 stock cash split so that doesn't factor in the $$$ they'd get in gojo stock plus its before ATN is valued in#i did some googling earlier out of curiosity but all of the articles/posts about their actual net worths either use old info#or guesstimate the number of shares the kids have based on other things the show tells us or are just straight up#inaccurate even to the info they had and none of them actually used the pretty significant info we get in that doc#their actual net worths are obviously a bit higher than this since we know they own property and it doesn't account for any#other investments or what they may have inherited from Logan (which also likely includes more stock) but waystar stock is#definitely the majority of what they have value wise so the only unknown that would make their net worths significantly#higher than this (when the scale is billions) is any stock they may have inherited from logan#succession#roman roy#shiv roy#kendall roy#connor roy#siobhan roy

Everything that happens to Tommy between attending Mosley’s party and Lizzie and Charles leaving him all takes place in 14 days.
Including daughter’s death and funeral, three murders, two situations where he is forced to physically perform, his own terminal diagnosis, discovering an illegitimate son, trying to introduce that illegitimate son to his current family, at least one seizure, bareback riding for an unknown but very long distance for the first time in years (can we talk about physical pain in all this emotional pain?), desecrating a grave, coercing Gina into being his spy in Berlin, hearing many things he doesn’t particularly enjoy from the fascists, trying to resolve his brother’s opium addiction, confessing love and regret to his wife only to receive back her anger and despair at his inadequacy of communication, having fascists tell his wife of his infidelity mere days after his daughter’s funeral and his confession of love and regret, and having his wife leave him (not unexpected perhaps) but then also his son.
Two weeks! And that’s without even unpacking what deals and connections were happening with the fascists, ira and American underworld, which included quite a lot of weapons dealing commitments for the ira too from memory…
#peaky rewatch#peaky blinders#worst two weeks of his life#No wonder he was so very fucking pleased in that scene with Gina#at last something where he could feel powerful and in control and with the upper hand#The god bless he threw at Linda had a similar energy#he needed to send Lizzie off for a one month holiday somewhere…#gasp maybe that’s what Canada was supposed to be#leave the fam in canada on a three month holiday and apologise for the four weeks in the middle of it he had to spend back in England#meanwhile lizzie’s like when did you buy half of Camden town#and why are you now donating it all to the government#social housing?#And how is it possible the stock value of all these construction companies you’ve been investing in has suddenly skyrocketed all at once#what do you mean they’ve picked up ten million pounds worth of social housing construction contracts for the government#shhhh Lizzie shhhhh#And why is mosley and every named member of the buf now suddenly on a government watch list what did you do

Adam Conover did a good video on this recently. The whole thing is beginning to look a lot like a "line must go up" housing-crash bubble. Worthless things being hyped up and sold as valuable things doesn't actually make them valuable, and sooner or later people figure that out and the value plummets back to its actual worth.
Thankfully they think it won't tank as much of the country as the 2008 housing bubble did because it's not so integrated into our economy, but still. Tech-hype growth has been an unsustainable investor-fed ponzi scheme all along. There is no such thing as permanent exponential growth. It doesn't exist. And unless they invent the damn holodeck in the next year or two, it's going to become clear that they've got nothing consumers would want, their whole house of cards is going to fall a part, and a shitton of ordinary people in Silicon Valley are going to lose their jobs.

#AI has a very limited value#As 1.) a tool for certain medical and technical problems#And 2.) as a toy.#It is not “the wave of the future.” It's not doing what they promised.#What they sold consumers was Data and the holodeck and *they don't actually know how to make those things.*#And now consumers know that it was a bad deal and aren't falling for the scam anymore.#Which makes their propped-up stock prices start to look really suspicious to investors.#Which is going to lead to a selling frenzy as soon as the other shoe drops.#Which is going to lead to layoffs at these companies.#I don't want to speculate what will happen to people's investment accounts because that's out of my wheelhouse.#But these tech companies can't keep this going forever and they know it.#Which is why they're absolutely burning money and tanking customer satisfaction right now. They're just trying to make it one more day.#Stave off the inevitable as long as possible.

Get Started with Stocks: A Conversation with AJ
Today, I want to share an insightful conversation I had with AJ on my podcast about stepping into the world of stocks. If you’ve been curious about investing but don’t know where to start, this one’s for you.
So, I asked AJ, "How would I get into stocks?" And here’s the simple roadmap he shared:
Step 1: Open a Brokerage Account
First things first, you need a brokerage account. AJ explained that if you’ve got an account with a major bank like Wells Fargo, Bank of America, or platforms like TD Ameritrade (his personal choice), you’re already on the right track. Now, he’s not promoting any specific service here—it’s just about having that brokerage account as your gateway to investing.
Step 2: Choose Stocks Based on Your Interests
One golden piece of advice from AJ: "Pick stocks based on what your interests are, not just market trends." This way, you’re investing in companies or industries you actually care about, which makes it easier to stay engaged and informed.
Step 3: Explore ETFs
Ever heard of ETFs (Exchange-Traded Funds)? They’re essentially a bundle of stocks wrapped into one convenient package. AJ described them as a great way to dip your toes into investing. Whether you’ve got a few dollars or a few hundred, you can start small and build your portfolio over time. Think of it like this: instead of buying a $100 Google stock, you could invest $4 into an ETF that includes Google and other companies.
Step 4: Educate Yourself
Education is key. AJ emphasized doing your homework and understanding what you’re investing in. He also highlighted two underrated tools for getting into finance:
- Your 401K: Many jobs offer investment options through 401Ks. Look into what’s available and take advantage of any employer matches.
- Health Savings Accounts (HSAs): These accounts not only help you save on taxes but also give you an opportunity to invest. It’s a win-win!
Final Thoughts
AJ’s advice highlighted that investing doesn’t have to be intimidating. Start small, stay curious, and invest in what aligns with your interests and goals. And don’t forget—your financial journey is personal. Take the time to learn, grow, and make informed decisions.
What about you? Are you already investing, or is this something you’re ready to dive into? Let’s keep the conversation going. Drop your thoughts, questions, or experiences in the comments. Let’s build wealth—the MonWell way Watch the FULL EPISODE:
