from very early on it was apparent to sage that pairing you up with phoenix on missions wasn’t a good idea but she couldn’t do as she pleased with the schedule limitlessly, and she couldn’t write herself up with your group all the time either. she tried as much she could and she spoke to phoenix about it, much to your dismay, that he should keep a few steps between the two of you unless it’s absolutely necessary to keep close.
“you have to keep it in mind okay? take care of y/n for me.” it might have earned an irritated sigh from james every time sage talked about it, but that was only because it was always what sage spoke about with him before and after the missions. he couldn’t blame her, he himself noticed too how you wince whenever the two of you are between covers together, how you would look away and squeeze at your uniform or gun whenever he used one of his abilities.
“i got this doc! your girl is safe with me.” he’d assure the healer but no matter what he said, ling was always gonna be worried sick about you no matter how careful anyone promised to be. sage would’ve kept running over what james needed to keep in mind but he didn’t give her the chance to as he boarded the vulture with a smile and a wave, her worry for you spiking once again. she scanned the bustling crowd, searching for your familiar figure amidst the chaos of the mission prep area. her heart sank when she couldn’t immediately spot you.
“where are you, y/n?” she muttered under her breath, her gaze darting from one face to another.
no matter how much phoenix reassured her, sage couldn’t shake off the feeling of unease. ling knew too well that no matter how careful anyone promised to be, accidents could happen. and she couldn’t bear the thought of anything happening to you.
as the minutes ticked by and the vulture prepared for takeoff, sage’s anxiety only grew. she pushed her way through the crowd, ehr eyes still scanning for you. finally, she caught sight of you near the edge of the platform, adjusting your gear with a nervous expression.
relief flooded through her as she made her way toward you, her steps quickening with each stride. when she reached you, she placed a hand on your shoulder, giving it a reassuring squeeze.
“hey, are you okay?” she asked, her voice laced with concern.
she had seen you coming back from the missions before, involving flames, it didn’t end well, to say the least. you already had some burn marks from some previous incidents that happened before you joined the protocol. it wasn’t something you had the pleasure of talking about, covered yourself up pretty well to avoid the faces and pitiful words. it has been getting better, you were trying to get better for the sake of the missions but not everything was a bullet train.
you glanced up at her, offering a weak smile. “yeah, just a little nervous, i guess.”
sage nodded understandingly, her gaze softening. “i talked to james, and he said he will make sure that he isn’t near you unless it is absolutely necessary.”
you offered her a grateful smile even though you were a bit embarrassed by her babysitting, you still felt a wave of comfort wash over you with your hand slipping on your shoulder to take hers.
“thanks for being scared instead of me,” you raised your voice as the vulture started up, stepping a bit closer to sage and pressing a kiss to her cheek. you wanted to stall for a second longer, let the warmth of her hand in your linger but work was calling. “text you when we land! i love you!” you yell over the roar of the ship’s engine.
as the vulture roared to life and began its ascent, sage stayed rooted to the spot, watching with a mix of pride and apprehension as the aircraft disappeared into the clouds. she couldn’t shake off the nagging feeling of worry that gnawed at her insides. she knew you were in good hands with all the other agents around.
“i won’t be having dinner again…” she murmured to herself as she headed back to her office.

VALORANT AGENTS REACTING TO THEIR S/O GETTING INJURED ON A MISSION
featuring - sage, killjoy, cypher, yoru, sova, gekko, viper
a/n : cyphers part contains a lot of angst and alcohol talk. i couldnt let it ALL be fluff 😋
Tumblr media
✮~ Sage ~✮
literally the sweetest ever, but this doesn't need to be said
if its a minor injury, she will definitely be giving you a talk about being safer and how to prevent that from happening
"but what if it was something more serious? something even I couldn't heal? you must be more careful angel."
if her s/o was harmed badly, she would do two things.
one, she would immedietely drop everything and rush towards healing you, this woman will stay up all night trying to heal you and make sure that there is not so much as a scratch left on your body. she would definitely overwork herself but making sure you are alright is all that matters.
two, the second you are stable and resting, she is going to find out whichever enemy agent hurt you and fuck. them. up.
im talking full battle sage, she will have no mercy if the injury they caused was threatening enough.
she may excude sweet and kind energy but she is one scary lady when the people she loves are harmed
she knows exactly how damaged a body must be for it to be unfixable.
"I'm so sorry I couldn't be there my dear, but they won't be hurting you again."
she will be watching you carefully, even asking brimstone to take you off of missions for a short time or asking him to keep an eye on you.
she doesn't know what she would do if she lost you..
Tumblr media
☻︎~ Killjoy ~︎︎☹︎
she blames herself, how could she not? she designed most of the stuff...it must be a error in her inventions.
she will work night and day trying to figure out what happened. was it a weapon error? did the gun she designed for you malfunction? oh no was she to blame for anyone elses injuries?!
it would take a lot of reassurance for her to calm down. after all, this wouldn't have happened if she had been more careful...right?
"Mein gott...you scared me. I thought I lost you schatzi..."
she is going to be by your side after sage discharges you from her infirmary. expect lots of physical affection (if your comfortable with it.) and care.
she will treat you as if you were glass about to break. you will not be doing any chores while you recover.
oh you need to work on a mission report? its already finished and submitted. you are hungry? she would cook a lovely meal her parents would make her when she was sick. (with the help of some other agents...shes probaly not a great cook lets be honest..)
"KJ...Sage gave me the all clear! I can do it!"
" Nein nein! You are going to rest mein Häschen! I don't want you straining yourself!"
Tumblr media
♖~ Cypher ~♖
if you get injured, be it minor or major. this man will WORRY.
he already lost everything, he cannot lose you either. if he did...he would have nothing.
when sage showed up at his door covered in blood and bruises. he knew something went wrong.
you told him you were going on a small mission. just an in and out radianite extraction at an abandoned lab. he had no reason to worry...right?
when he heard what had happened, he was devastated. what was supposed to be a quick mission turned out to be a setup. what makes it worse? you were alone at your site.
he will be thinking the worst. what if you...? if he had only done a more detailed check on the lab...maybe he could have protected you. but he didn't. he feels like he failed.
you spend weeks in the recovery bay, lying unconcious.
he spends those weeks without you in his lab drinking the memories away and trying to figure out what happened.
he just cannot function with the thought of losing you at the back of his mind at all times.
he knows he was caught when viper appears at his doorway with a concerned glare and a solemn looking sage in tow. he can't remember most of it, but viper was worried? about him?
soon he was also transported to sages infirmary. getting put on nutrients and oxygen. it was obvious he was not taking care of himself without your presence
when you wake up, he would be right there cradling your cheek with his hand. his mask nowhere in sight. all that matters was that you were safe now
"يا حياتي..i was so scared i lost you"
he will never forget his past, but he looks forward to his future with you.
can you tell i like cypher guys :)
Tumblr media
☁︎~ Yoru ~☁︎
do not even get me started on this man
he would be extremely angry.
but is it at you, the others, or maybe himself?"
upon hearing the news, he would immediately check on you. seeing your unconcious body just makes something in him snap. the thought that someone had done this to you...he plants a soft kiss to your temple, before storming out of the infirmary.
for the next few days, he would lash out at everyone around him. sage came around to bring him some food as he had not left his room and he just...lost it.
he wasn't even sure who he was yelling at, who he was blaming for what happened. poor sage looked petrified and the others seemed to gather the idea yoru didn't want to be talked too right now.
with no word from anybody about your condition, he lay down on his bed and cried numbly. every night he would teleport into where sage had kept you to heal. he would sit in silence staring at your asleep face before always kissing your forehead goodbye. in hopes that somehow, you would wake up.
he went to your room and grabbed some sweaters of yours, every night he slept with them for comfort, clinging onto them as if they were going to leave him too.
when you wake up, he won't care about keeping his mysterious "badass" persona up. he will be at your side holding your hand and crying.
"please be more careful 私の日光...i don't know what i would do if i lost you."
when sage discharges you, he will be glued to you. he will simple little things for you (such as opening doors for you.)
his love language is definitely acts of service
if you teased him about this though, he will never admit to it.
he will be doing simple things such as cooking meals, cleaning up, and helping you finish any work you have
he is so domestic
he may not be super outwardly affectionate, but with each small favour he does for you he is putting all of his love into it.
Tumblr media
𖦹~ Sova ~𖦹
sova is literally the most caring boyfriend...like ever..
if its a minor injury, he will treat it (if sage and skye are off on a mission).
he will definitely lightly scold you, not to be mean! just because he hates seeing you hurt and in pain.
"ангел. please be more careful next time..you know i hate seeing you upset."
if it was a major injury though, he is relatively the same.
he isn't scared to cry infront of the others, when he gets the news that your mission went south he was crying into sages shoulder.
he would stay with you the entire recovery. sage had to keep kicking him out at nighttime but eventually she realized she couldn't stop him. she simply would bring meals for him whenever he would forget to eat.
he would sit and tell you about his day, how the missions were going, even the silly schenanigans that the younger agents were pulling
"yoru tried to get revenge on phoenix for his prank but it went so bad ангел. he entered his rift and jumped out to scare him, but reyna happened to have just been passing by! she was absolutely livid родная. i have never seen our dear riftwalker so terrified!" he chuckled
when you woke up, he was still there lightly snoring against the chair sage had brought him.
when he woke up, he was thrilled, his eyes immediately lighting up like a childs
"have you been sitting here the whole time?"
"of course my dear. as if i would leave you."
Tumblr media
߷~ Gekko ~߷
as the newest agent, he hasn't known you for very long. your relationship was coming up to a few months old but he hadn't told you how much he loved you yet.
so naturally, when he heard you were injured he was terrified
he knew this job was dangerous! he just never thought it would be you getting injured...he also never really thought of anyone getting badly injured
he was training with harbour when he overheard a mission going wrong...a mission you were on.
he would rush to the infirmary overloading sage with questions about you
"Sage!! Finally...que pasó?? Neon told me something happened on the mission?!"
Appariently, you had gotten caught in a fight with the enemy Breach and he hit you with his aftershock.
He didn't know much about Breach, but he knew that man had quite a bit of strength in his abilities (being like...bionic you know?"
After some skillful and strategic convincing (pathetic and annoying begging) Sage agreed to take him to see you.
When he caught sight of you lying in the bed staring up at the ceiling, he let out a big sigh he didn't even know he was holding.
"Mi sol! Oh mierda I was so worried! What happened?"
He would be sitting patiently listening to you explain what happened. All while staring at you softly.
"Shooottt...sounds like you had a busy mission! I am just happy you made it back cariño."
Tumblr media
☠︎︎~ Viper ~ ☠︎︎
if you were minorly injured, it was probably from tinkering with her poison vials and one leaked onto your fingers
after hearing your grunt in pain, she turns around and her eyes widen, rushing towards you.
"Idiot, I said not to touch anything!"
she swears under her breath before wiping it away and rubbing some sort of cream onto your hand
"Honestly..who would touch something containing poison WITHOUT protection?"
her biggest fear? her poison causing you harm.
so what if a mission were to go wrong and you happened to step into a bubble of her poison?
it was a genuine wrong place wrong time situation. she had a poison bubble deployed and sitting on the ground, as she activated it she looked up to see your frame walking overtop of it.
she shouts to get you to move, but you don't hear her in time. next thing she knows, you are on the ground out cold with green and purple lines all over your face.
she quickly would call for backup, holding you tight but trying to avoid the chemical burns.
when she is back to safety, she rushes to sage's infirmary with your barely warm body in her arms
unfortunately, the poison had seeped into some open wounds you had. causing it to spread throught your body. viper leaves sage alone to do her job, pacing back and forth outside.
she knew how strong her poison could be, but she also knew how strong your body was. you would survive. you had too.
after a few hours, a tired sage walks out and nods, signaling it went well.
viper rushed into the room and immediately looked at your sleeping face, wincing at the fading bloodshot lines on your face.
"i'm so sorry love..please wake up soon"
she would wait by your side holding your hand and occasionally planting soft kisses to the back of your hand.
she knew you would be ok, but she couldn't help but feel bad that her miscommunication and carelessness caused this to happen to you.
when you wake up, she would be whispering soft apologies into your ear
"i promise...you will never feel this pain again my dear."
Tumblr media

One Hazy Winter [Iso x F! Reader] [End]
[ Part 1 / Part 2 / Part 3 / Part 4 / Part 5 / Part 6 / Part 7 ]
Genre: Angst, fluff ‎
Words: 3k ‎
Synopsis: One winter before his disappearance, you told your boyfriend Yu about a question you’ve had for so long; one even he could hardly respond to. It took many more hopeless winters for you to finally have your answer.‎
Note: Please don't copy or steal my work and pass it off as your own! If you'd like to use one of my headcanons or something, I'd love it if you tagged or asked.
We're done with Iso!! As per the vote, I'm moving on to Yoru once everything's ready. And man is he as painful to write as I remember haha
。+❤ฺ·。❤ฺ·。+❤ฺ· +❤·。❤ฺ·。+❤ฺ·
Spring, present day.
ㅤㅤ
It took you a long while to decide on whether that was one of the worst or best months of your life.
On one hand, you came back with a quarter of the harvest you were supposed to get, and you had to wait for a while until your lemon trees would bear fruit once more. That, and working with only thirteen lemons turned out to be much more difficult than you thought when it comes to baking.
And on the other hand, it was fun attempting to come up with workarounds with Ying. That, and you woke up the next morning with a new sensation that wrapped around you like a clingy lover. And it wasn't anything like the miserable pessimism you hauled around, or like the apathy that…
No, no. It was apathy.
But a more positive kind of apathy. One that beckoned you to come to terms with many dilemmas in your mind. One of them being that winter was just... winter. A season. And like every other season, it had its ups and downs. It wasn't some omnipresent being out to get you, or whatever.
And quite frankly, this apathy was the best feeling you've ever had in a long... well, in your entire life. You woke up looking forward to the day, with a desire to actually get things going.
And that's exactly what you did.
You spent the past three months selling those plants back in your apartment at that nursery, you made friends with that lady who recommended you do such a thing, and now you were back at Yu’s house to check in on your growing orange trees. Heck, Yu’s neighbours even started greeting you whenever you came by.
They definitely saw you carrying the baskets of fruit and wanted some. Maybe you should use this wealthy neighbourhood to your advantage, you mused.
Ying called you earlier and mentioned discussing the state of her café with you since she had ‘more important matters to get to’. And you didn’t really mind, despite still being a mere barista, but she said she’d discuss the details by afternoon… But the location? Yeah, she promised she’d get back to you on that after she’d decided.
You moved down the short corridor, your eyes taking a moment to adjust to the strong rays that poured through the windows of the doors. The darkness around you did not help ease the pain of such a bright light. But even then, you wrapped your free hand around the handle and forced the door open, allowing the brightness to finally balance itself out.
You noticed something yellow out of the corner of your eye. And you would’ve dismissed it if you hadn’t turned to look at what it was. It was… inside the basket. There was one Meyer lemon, probably from that harvest months ago that the two of you missed. It kind of made sense that you’d forget it. You haven’t really visited this house after that day, not with the ongoing streak of snowstorms. And, you know, Ying’s persistence on keeping you safe.
Your thoughts were interrupted by the buzzing of a nearby mosquito. And immediately, you dropped the watering can and crushed the bug, instantly killing it. Now that you considered it, the one good thing about winter was the lack of annoying insects. That, and the fact it helped plants rejuvenate after a harvest, and that it kept earth’s temperature in check, and…
No, nevermind. You didn’t want to be warming up to winter. Pun intended.
You moved back towards your growing orange trees and observed their shape for a moment. And like the row of lemon trees right behind them, they looked as otherworldly as they were. The white flowers on it looked even prettier under the sunlight’s strong glare. Much prettier than in the winter, but they both had their charm. Super photogenic.
Just as you grabbed the watering can up from the ground, your phone vibrated with an embarrassingly loud ringtone, and you pulled it out of your pocket only to discover that Ying was calling. At the worst time as well, you thought as you answered and held up the device to your ear.
"Hi."
"Y/N, I've decided!"
Her voice took you by surprise more than the ensemble of loud chirping birds around you.
"Decided?"
"We're going to meet up on the bridge. Do you remember it?"
You kept the phone held up against your ear with your shoulder, grabbing one branch and gently pushing it aside so that the water from your can could reach every crevice of the tree.
"The bridge...?"
"Yes! I was told it looks ethereal in the spring, and it truly does! Ah, and it's closer to the train station than I thought. We can use it as a landmark for when we leave. What do you think?"
You continued watering in silence for a moment. It looks ethereal in the spring? Who the heck told her that?
Whatever, it wasn’t your job to question everything.
"That can work. When do I come by?"
"Actually, I'm already here."
You immediately stopped watering.
"Already? Ying, the least you could've done was give me a heads up."
“I’m sorry, but I have something scheduled for sundown! I’ll see you there, okay? I promise you, it’ll be worth it!”
She closed the call before you could retort.
She was probably going to promote you or straight up just hand you the café. What with how busy she was starting to get and how much she disappeared, it wouldn’t surprise you if it turned out to be actually that. You didn’t really mind taking control of the café, now that you thought about it… Oh, but the idea of dealing with your co-workers’ minute problems sounded like pure torture.
You sighed and continued watering your plants in silence, quickening your pace so that you’d be able to make it to her in time.
It took you a while, but eventually, you made it. And the only guidance you used was the pitter patter of the children’s feet as they ran around and cackled, alongside the melodic chirping of the birds. The bus left a trail of smoke as it sped off, but this one mild inconvenience was immediately drowned out by the sight before you.
Ying was right, the place looked like paradise on Earth now that it was spring.
The waters were crystal clear, the trees were full of life and the grass on the ground vibrated with an enigmatic amount of cheerfulness. Almost like they were harmoniously swaying to a tune you couldn’t hear. Had someone taken a picture of this place, you would’ve convinced yourself it was just editing and that there was no way Earth would look like this.
But it did, you mused as you approached the bridge.
It didn’t take long for you to arrive at a comfortable spot and rest your arms on the warm railing. Thankfully, despite your short height, the railings weren’t too tall and your loose clothes allowed you maximum flexibility to peer through to catch a glimpse of the waters. Short enough for you to be able to comfortably lean on it, but not so short children could fall down.
Your eyes were firmly fixated on the lake. And for the first time in so long, you felt... content.
You still didn't know what your goal in life was. You still didn't know why you should keep going, among many other questions like that. But all you knew was that the path your life headed in... Well, you didn’t want to change anything about it.
What would tomorrow look like? You pondered with a fond smile, holding up the Meyer lemon just above the lake and allowing the sun's light to shine in on it. And it beamed. It beamed with celestial beauty unfathomable to the human mind.
This was your harvest.
You put down the lemon with an even wider smile and stared at the lake instead, the fish that swam by. Tomorrow sounded amazing, now that you thought about it.
And you looked forward to it.
"Y/N?"
A soft voice promptly came up from behind you. You sighed and stuffed the lemon back into your pockets, before turning around to meet her gaze.
"What took you so long? I thought you were in a hurry–"
The moment you locked gazes with a familiar pair of lilac eyes, your breathing hitched, and time stood still.
It took a moment to comprehend that this person wasn’t Ying. It wasn’t Ying at all. It was… You felt your heart drop as you rapidly looked the figure up and down.
Broad shoulders, purple eyes, black hair, tall stature…
It was Yu. He stood only a few feet away from you; and he donned a meticulously designed hoodie with collars tall enough to conceal the lower portion of his face. One you had never seen before.
The words were lodged in your throat. Scratch that, no, your mind went completely blank, and the world felt like it started breaking apart.
“Yu…”
"Y/N, I..." He took a step forward, the floorboards audibly creaking under his weight. "I'm so sorry."
His voice had a sombre undertone. Slight and drowned out by the mirth that surrounded the both of you, but it was still telling. It was one that successfully let you know that he drowned in regret, all without saying a single word.
And yet, you still weren't sure how to feel about this. Sad? Happy? Furious? The second option was the most obvious one in your mind, but for the love of God, you just couldn’t form a single thought in your head. Heck, you couldn’t even comprehend the situation in general. All you knew was that Yu was here. And that was… No, wrong wasn’t the word.
His hand gently clasped your shoulder, and a familiar warmth landed alongside it.
"I'm sorry it took so long, but I- I was caught up in so many things, and it all just..."
He then pulled you into a hug. Your cheek slammed against his chest, the impact only cushioned by his thick hoodie.
"I missed you."
You didn't react.
For a few seconds, you stood there with a stiff posture as you stared into space, unsure whether you should return the hug or just stay silent and not do anything. This whole situation felt unreal. It felt like one of those hyper realistic dreams your brain would conjure up whenever it decided it wanted to escape your pitiful life, but that sprinkle of hope always scattered the moment you woke up. But it wasn't. In fact, he stood right there, the familiar scent of lemons taking over your nostrils on account of how close he was.
Yu was here… He was present. He came back.
Though you shut your eyes as hard as you could, tears still formed against your will, and they were quick to stream down your cheeks.
"Where..." you started, "Where were you...?"
You weakly pulled away, but Yu still kept you in his grip. And you immediately took this chance to observe him all over again despite your incredibly blurry vision. It was as if those years had never passed given his features. He still had that same enchanting face, and those pretty lilac eyes that always tore away at your stress with just one glance.
"After all this time..."
You held his cheek and caressed it. His pale skin yielded under your touch, and the palm of your hand outlined the sharp structure of his jaw. The softness of his skin, the flicker of vulnerability in his eyes juxtaposed to his stony expression… All of it was all so familiar.
"Why did you leave me, Yu?"
"I'm– I'm sorry, Y/N. It wasn't my choice. If I could take it all back, I would–"
"Why did you leave me?!"
You burst into tears and clutched his hoodie, burying your head in his chest.
"I thought you were dead! I– I thought that– I thought... I thought I lost you...!"
Out of pure instinct, Yu was quick to bring you closer and tightly hold you in his arms.
"I'm here, I'm here, okay? Nobody's dead."
"I thought you died, Yu! I thought you were dead, I– thought you were..."
Your sobs and nonsensical babbles continued. It was all the same repetitive questions about his well being, and more specifically, how you thought he was dead. Each sentence you managed to complete felt like another blade plunging his heart, only further drowning him in guilt.
And unfortunately for him, the only thing Yu knew to do in this situation was hold you and gently caress your back.
"I'm sorry. I'm so sorry. I– I should've explained it all from the beginning. But I... didn't want to lose you if I ever did."
He knew how stupidly soft you made him. How he'd stutter when speaking to you, and how wide his smile had gotten when you two first hugged, your arms squishing his thick white hoodie just to reach his form. The same hoodie he spent hours washing blood off of the night before.
Maybe he should've told you.
"I thought you were dead, I– I thought... that gun, you–"
Though you followed these loosely strung sentences with a curse, one specific word successfully pierced his bubble.
"Gun? What gun?"
This question seemed to bring you back as well. You pulled away, and just the sight of your red cheeks and shimmering eyes, aching with raw emotion, all of it was enough for him to understand how much this impacted you.
"I saw that gun. N– next to that medallion." You furrowed your brow, the sun sharply highlighting your tear-stricken face. "Is that it? Are you in a gang, Yu? Is that what you couldn't tell me?!"
"No! I– I wasn't in a gang, Y/N. It's..."
Yu's gaze fell. Unintentionally, he instead eyed your trembling hands.
He couldn’t hide this anymore, could he?
"I– I'm... Look, as unbelievable as this sounds, I– I was a… I was a hitman."
"...You were what? A hitman?!"
"Yeah. I… That’s the truth."
You narrowed your eyes. It really was unbelievable. How could someone like him be capable of killing someone? No, not someone, but people? And for a job?! You would’ve labelled him a liar if it weren’t for that blasted gun.
Then, a name popped up in your mind, one that seemed to support this idea.
"Iso...?"
He went blank for a moment.
"...That's, uh, no, that's a code name. I switched to a profession less... suffocating. That's what they call me now."
"Ying was in on this?"
Yu's face blanched. But quickly, he held your hand and firmly kept it in your grip.
"She was my only way of knowing you were alive! There wasn't any– Y/N, look, none of this should've happened, I know I should've been honest from the beginning, but I didn't want you to leave if I ever told you!” His eyes darted elsewhere. “Ying wasn’t happy when she found out, but I–"
"I’m not like her! I never would've gone anywhere! You could've been the devil and I still would've stayed because I wouldn’t have kept going if you weren’t there!” You furrowed your brow. But that's not the case anymore. I still love you, but I know what I deserve, Yu. I know I deserve a relationship that isn't... one-sided..."
You suddenly choked on your words. Yet, he was quick to respond when he could.
"But we can have that, Y/N! We can start anew, no more secrets. Nothing between us, okay? Nothing but the truth. Just, please..." he squeezed your trembling hand, "give me one more chance. I promise I'll make you the happiest woman on Earth."
Tears began to flow once more, tracing the same path as the ones that had dried out mere seconds ago.
For a moment, your eyes slammed shut, and you used this pause to both catch your breath and comprehend the situation. It was hard to make a decision. Sure, you were unbelievably mad at everything. At Ying, at Yu, at the world, and especially those people who held Yu hostage, if his words were to be believed.
But, Hitman…? It sounded so unbelievable. Yu was just way too kind and pacifistic to commit murder. It sounded impossible.
Almost mechanically, You rested your head on his chest, lying limp as he wrapped his arms around you. The lack of aversion on your side registered as permission for him to hold you. Not that he still didn't remain incredibly cautious.
"Happiest woman on Earth..."
You muttered ponderously to yourself. You were already happy. But you knew you’d be happier with him. Even after everything that happened, you missed having him by your side again. You missed his curious little questions about things you considered mundane, and that endearing look of realisation as you explained it to him…
Then, a smile lifted your lips.
"I missed you, Yu." You hugged him back. "From now on, you’ll be honest with me. About everything."
Being this close to him, you felt the jump in his palpitations as he registered these words.
"I will! I will. I promise."
You closed your eyes, allowing the familiar scent of lemons to enter your nostrils and put your mind at ease once more. The two of you stayed like this for a second. It felt like this embrace’s sole purpose was to make up for how much you two missed each other. Of course, he knew he would’ve lost a bit of his sanity had he not known about your whereabouts, but he also knew that saying that probably… Maybe it’s best to keep quiet. Thank God for Ying’s updates…
Then, his eyes shot open at the mention of the healer.
“Hey, let’s go home. I have so much to tell you.”
You pulled away and wiped your cheek once more, noticing the eagerness etched on his features. You nodded.
“I’d like that.”
With that, he held your hand and helped you stand up, and the two of you began walking away from the bridge. His thumb promptly began tracing the lines on your palm all on its own. And of course, you couldn’t help but wistfully smile at this familiar
Despite everything, you couldn’t truly hate this man, no matter how much you knew you had to. You just wanted to know how this gentle giant was supposedly a hitman.
You rested your head on his shoulder as you moved.

You Give Me Butterflies
○•°○•°○•°○•°○•°○
Pairing: Gekko x reader mainly. Mentions of others.
Fandom: Valorant
Synopsis: The Reader gets a second chance to fix her timeline and stop the radiant war. After following Kay-O, she's spat out early to face her own butterfly trail.
Type: Multi-Chapter
○•°○•°○•°○•°○•°○
Chapter 1
○•°○•°○•°○•°○•°○
This was it. Your first mission!
Your sturdy heel bounced repeatedly on the ships floor beneath you, metal heal clanking on a hollow surface. The beating carried upwards to your supervisor ears. While the woman didn't outwardly say anything, you could see her scowl and pale face twitching in your peripherals. Safe to say with her murderous aura and all: She was terrifying.
You had only been recruited a few months earlier (by complete accident). Your abilities weren't as obvious as some agents as they weren't visible - you relied on a 'host'. This only became apparent when a charming brit swept you off your feet and ran you out of an active explosion combat zone. As soon as he had set you down you were producing small flames on your fingertips. It was fascinating to yourself, the gobsmacked agent and kingdoms research labs it would seem as they had hooked you up to numerous machines in record time. They claimed they could enhance agents performance. Even create new ones!
This research however changed hands and got picked up by Viper early on. She changed how you were tested and what on and before you knew it she'd even recruited you onto the Valorant Protocol.
So now you sat in the flying contraption transporting you to a suspected site. The team were given a tip early that day and decided the chances were slim but not impossible. With such low chances they decided this would be the perfect chance to evaluate your training. You simple couldnt get that number out your head. It was low but still very much possible.
The ships interior was...basic to say the least. It was a dark metal with only two sets of dual seats. A pilot was obsolete in these smaller crafts.
The twitching woman was sat on her own in the row opposite. She had chosen to sit to your left leaving the seat in front empty and an easy spot to stare at. Next to you was Gekko. A young boy who had only joined a short while before yourself. Your ally was unaffected by your fidgeting and instead focused on petting the small creature in his lap-Wingman you seem to recall. He did however notice your grip on the seat growing more and more tense.
"Feelin' the nerves? I know before my first mission I was all jelly." You were snapped out of your thoughts in an instant, the impenetrable silence finally broken, and met the eyes of the green haired man. He instantly cringed at his words and tried avoiding your gaze, choosing instead to return his attention back to the creature purring in his lap. You saw a small pink hue covering the tips of his ears and could help but smile.
You knew you had an effect on people, a passive side effect of your ability. While you were definitely pretty you never needed to be the most attractive in the room for people to gravitate towards you. You chalked it down to your abilities way of securing a 'host'. And to be honest, you found him cute. The two of you chatted back and forth for the remainder of the ride, him saying strange assortments of words and you giggling along to his blushing cheeks. You were so engrossed in your chats that you hadn't even noticed your foot still or your grip changing from the seat to an appreciative Dizzy.
Your friendly chat was soon cut off by Vipers announcement: "We've reached site. I'll take B, you two on A. Gekko keep a close eye on a/n. I'd appreciate making this quick." The two of you nodded as she grabbed her shotgun and left the ship, not without a slight affectionate nod in your direction however. While she wasn't your mentor she had taken interest in your abilities and in turn you. It was small but enough to settle your stomach.
Yourself and Gekko approach the weapon crate. He pulled put his spectre and handed you your Marshal.
A large part of training is finding your combat style and complimentary weapon. You were undoubtedly best with a sniper rifle. You pick up the gun and sling it over you shoulder.
"I think I'll set up long. I'll be more use there."
Gekko nods and splits off to set up on site.
The site was an old town hall refurbished for radianite storage. It was set up into 3 main sections: 'A' which was the first room filled with radianite, 'B' the second larger room filled with radianite, and 'long' a long hallway between the two.
You take your slinged gun to a doorway with sights down long. You crouch down and angle the rifle to peek around the corner taking advantage of the long barrel.
You finally finish setting up when you hear a loud crash from the site to your right, B. Comms stays silent so you try focusing back on long but your mind keeps drifting to the site. A dangerous habit on a potential battle field.
You spot movement, a slight peek of some sort of shoe or something. You lock in and hold your breath: Behind the wall rounds a figure. Tall and slender in a white coat of sorts. You take no time in squeezing your trigger.
It all happens so quickly: the gun jolts backwards into your shoulders, pulsing shoots through your crouched body, your ears ring and the figure drops.
Training couldn't hold a candle to the real thing.
But you hold your position.
You figured if it was between going on site blind or helping from the side-lines, you had a better chance of getting picks here.
Your chest hammers against the metal in your arms, your breathing quickens and your fingers feel electric. Your brain is working overtime seeing movements in every doorway the second you skim elsewhere but once you look back: nothing.
You turn your attention to comms in an attempt to calm yourself, he might've been alone, but your met with a ghost. Comms are deathly silent. No indication of Gekko or Viper even being on the same map as you.
You wait a few more seconds and spot a second figure. This one is dressed in black, sprinting across the corridor towards your fallen enemy. You moved the scope to follow her movements but choose to refrain from shooting at this second, not trusting your hands just yet. If she stopped you'd make your move. There was no way you'd risk your position without backup.
Her black top came off the shoulders in a criss-cross fashion and ended just above her joggers. They were also black and flared out around her heeled boots, rounding into the soles. A relaxed uniform compared to the previous.
The woman stopped in her tracks, glancing down at the fallen agent, hands tightening around her gun. You hold your breath to still the gun, finger on the trigger.
She whips around in your direction, barrel facing you.
Your heart dropped.
You were looking in the mirror.
She was just like you.
Same uniform. Same hair. Same face.
It was uncanny.
Your fingers couldn't find the trigger and neither could hers.
Your thoughts were shattered by a bullet skimming the air millimetres from your face. You were inches from being shot. Hairs from death.
So you ran. You ran like the young agent you were and shut the doors, choosing to hide behind and catch the enemy off guard.
The door closed with a loud creak, enough to rattle your plan and quicken your heartbeat further. You dared not to even scope out the site behind the other set of doors. You waited behind the door. Waited for the enemies who never came.
Instead, you herd a familiar voice. "A/N?" It was a projected whisper from sites doors. While it was strange she wasn't using comms you weren't even sure they were working again yet, so you did the same and called out to try communicate positions: "Viper? There are two long."
You hadn't yet moved from your spot and watched out the doors instead. "You've shut the doors yes? Come site we need reinforcements." You waste no time slinging your marshal and unholster your pistol, a classic with charms dangling from the handle. You could feel the slick metal slip in your clammy grip.
As you make your way towards the open door you feel the air become thick, laced with chemicals - something new she'd been working on perhaps? She must've forgotten to mention on the way over. You see the air through the door is a thick green, light struggling to penetrate the thick smoke.
The coloured whisps tickle at your face and slowly engulf your figure. It was warm and strangely compressing. Especially on your throat.
In fact air was become scarcer by the second. You felt disoriented by the darkness and your movement must be getting heavier. "Is this stuff safe? Y'know without a mask?"
Behind you rings that same creak, muffled and impossible to tell from which set it omitted.
"Viper w-where's Gekko?" You were loosing control of even your voice. You felt helpless.
"V-Vi-"
A cool pressure point stings on your head. The left side you think. A stark contrast to the suffocating air.
"Sleep well my dear."

Emerald Whispers: A Healing Kiss
A/N: AND ALSO NO ONE WANTED THIS.
The training room was filled with a calming aura, a stark contrast to the chaos and gunfire that Sage and you were accustomed to on the battlefield. Sage, the serene and wise agent from Valorant, had taken it upon herself to teach you the intricacies of her healing abilities. Her onyx eyes sparkled with a mix of determination and kindness as she explained the nuances of the green orbs.
As you watched her hands move gracefully, manipulating the orbs with ease, you couldn't help but be in awe of her. The way she radiated both strength and gentleness was captivating, and it wasn't just her healing powers that held your attention.
At one point, you found yourself momentarily lost in the movement of her lips, entranced by the way her words formed and her expressions shifted. You quickly looked away, cheeks tinged with a soft pink, hoping she hadn't noticed.
However, Sage was perceptive, and the corners of her lips quirked up in a knowing smile. "You seem quite focused, [Your Name]. Are you following along?"
You nodded, trying to compose yourself. "Yes, Sage, I'm paying attention."
She took a step closer, her gaze warm and understanding. "Good. It's important to master this technique. It could mean the difference between life and death out there."
Her proximity sent a shiver down your spine, and you couldn't help but meet her gaze. There was an unspoken connection between you, one that went beyond the battlefield.
Suddenly, Sage's hand gently cupped your chin, tilting your face up towards hers. The touch was tender, filled with a quiet intensity. Your heart raced, anticipation mingling with surprise.
"Sage…" you began, your voice barely a whisper.
She smiled softly, her thumb gently caressing your cheek. "Sometimes, [Your Name], healing isn't just about mending wounds. It's about understanding, connection, and trust."
And with that, she closed the distance, her lips meeting yours in a kiss that was both gentle and passionate. It was a revelation, a merging of souls, a testament to the unspoken feelings that had grown between you.
Time seemed to slow, the world fading away, leaving just the two of you in that intimate moment. The kiss held a promise, a promise of mutual respect, trust, and a shared purpose.
As Sage pulled back, her eyes locked onto yours, her expression filled with tenderness and a touch of vulnerability. "Now, shall we continue?." Smirked.
You nodded, your heart pounding in your chest. "Y-Yeah- Yes…definetly."
In that tranquil training room, amidst the hum of energy and the scent of healing herbs, you and Sage stood connected, knowing that this moment would forever bind you together, not just as agents, but as something deeper and more profound. As she continues teaching you, you could'nt stop thinking about blessing that Sage gave you…

special christmas episode | valorant protocol
how you experienced christmas within the valorant headquarters
notes: hc style with images right after, not proofread bc it's hella rushed– will edit soon
a.n: literally started writing this five hours before christmas. I suddenly realized I haven't whipped a christmas special yet 💀 hope you guys enjoy and HAPPY HOLIDAYS!
previous : next
Tumblr media
THE START OF THE CHRISTMAS SPIRIT
Brimstone is actually a big fan of holidays
loves celebrating it, loves seeing everyone at the table
Christmas is one of his favourites
Plans to throw a party before sending everyone for their short vacation
the 'white christmas' theme is obviously out of the picture
headquarters is literally within a tropical island. . .with a volcano.
despite that, even without snow– christmas is christmas
first task of the christmas celebrations: decorating.
majority of the agents love this part
but there's one thing they hate about it
getting the artificial tree from the stockroom
cue jett, phoenix, and yoru fighting about it
"why don't you get it, I thought you're the strongest one around here." Jett spats out
"I am." Yoru frowned. "But my strength is not worth. . .this. Are you insulting me??"
But then. . .Brimstone remembered what your radiant abilities were
"Gaia."
Brimstone eyed you intensely as he sat with his elbows on his desk, fingers intertwined and pressing them against his upper lip.
"Ye-Yes, Captain?" You sweatdropped, trying to avert from your leader's firm gaze.
'What's with this weird atmosphere. . .'
"Can you do it?"
Your eyebrows shot upwards, mouth parting slightly.
". . .Do what, exactly–" is he asking what you think he's asking? "–Captain. . .?"
"A pine tree."
"Huh?"
"Can you do it?"
What.
Did you just hear him right?
You let out a nervous chuckle, "Wait– Hold on a sec, Captain." You thought he was gonna ask you to hide a body or something, "Let me get this straight—"
Brimstone didn't react much, he continued to just stare at you.
"You're asking me. . . If I can make a pine tree?" You questioned. "Is that right?"
Finally, your captain moved from his position.
"That is correct." He nodded, putting down his forearms on his desk. "So, can you do it?"
"Of course I can," You grinned awkwardly, still a little confused about where this is going. "But. . .why?"
Turns out it was already the month of December, you couldn't believe how time flies so fast, you swore you were just celebrating Halloween a couple of weeks ago.
Anyway, Brimstone requested you to make a pine tree in the common room where the Christmas party will be held soon, and honestly? You were kind of excited.
You love celebrations as much as Brimstone does, but mostly because there will be lots of good food laid out once again.
"Is it true?!" Jett bursted through the common room with excitement filling her smile, "Gaia's making a pine tree?!"
Sage, Raze, and Killjoy were already in the room with you, waiting for you to work your magic.
Reyna sat quietly by the bar, sipping her purple drink peacefully with a pinch of interest towards the situation while Chamber– who's wiping a glass behind the bar looked at you with a hint of glee in his eyes.
Omen casually sat on the couch knitting away, only glancing towards the scene in front of him every now and then.
"I was just about to." You chuckled hands already raised in the direction where you plan to create the tree.
"Perfect timing," Killjoy chirped before motioning her hand to Jett. "Come, come!"
The wind radiant eagerly made her way next to Sage.
"Oh man, I love watching you use your power." Jett comments. "So magical."
"Agreed." Sage nodded.
"Alright fam, you sure this one's a good spot?" You asked for the last time.
"Yup."
"Yes."
"Absolutely!"
You sighed, shaking your hands, "Here we go then."
Using your radiance, your palms glowed green. The ground of your target space started to rumble just a bit before breaking and sprouting a small pine tree.
"Woah." Jett gasped in amusement.
Raze tried to hold a giggle bubbling from her throat
"That's so cute."
"Tell me when you're satisfied with it, okay?" You say before making the tree grow and sprout its leaves.
Everyone in the common room watched as the tree bloomed beautifully.
"Wait, stop!" Jett exclaimed and you did, the green glow on your palms fading. "That's the most perfect tree I've ever seen."
And just like that, there's an actual pine tree in the common room. Not an artificial one, a real one.
"Oh look, it even sprouted some pinecones." Sage pointed out, grinning delightfully.
"Ah, it smells wonderful too." Killjoy sighed as the aroma of fresh pine started to creep into the space.
"Welp, what are you guys waiting for?" You grinned. "Time to decorate!"
Just as you said those words, Phoenix entered the room, his eyes glancing at the tree by the corner before doing a double take.
"Wha–," His eyes widened. "Where did that come from?"
"Gaia made it." Jett responded. "Cool, right?"
"Uh–"
"Oi, what's the hold-up? Get your ass out of the way," A male voice grunts from behind Phoenix, a very familiar blue jacket peeking. It was Yoru, and he's carrying the artificial tree that he got from the stockroom due to Phoenix's insistent pestering, the tree blocking his vision upfront.
"Um, Yoru?"
"What?" The riftwalker spats out, clearly annoyed from carrying the tree.
Phoenix laughs nervously
"So uh, funny story. . ."
TROPICAL CHRISTMAS
You requested everyone to put a personal ornament on the tree
And you even grew some mistletoes and wreaths for everyone to decorate.
It was fun decorating
You all finished dressing up the common room that same day as well
The room looked magical, especially at night when the Christmas lights are all on
Holiday dinner will be in the next few days
So before that, you all decided to take on the 'tropical christmas' theme and have a day out on the island
A beach episode within a christmas episode
Even Viper agreed to get some sun in her system
Sage, Neon, and Jett dragged you along with them in picking swimsuits
"Oh! I bet this looks cute on you, Gaia!"
You tried on at least ten swimsuits that day
The girls coaxing you to show more skin and be more confident
"Gaia, I think you'd have Sova drooling if you wear this–"
"Neon!"
"Sova? You mean Chamber?"
"Sage, not you too–"
"You think Omen would knit you a biki–"
"Jett, stop!"
Cue you turning fifty shades of red
Today was a beautiful day.
The sun wasn't too harsh on the eyes nor its heat was too much on the skin. The sea was sparkling clear with a tint of blue that makes you feel refreshed as soon as you jump right in.
Breach and Brimstone were surprisingly getting along at the grilling station, chatting and watching over the others at the shore.
Jett and Phoenix were already playing some beach volleyball against Yoru and Skye, both teams were clearly riled up with their own competitiveness with Neon keeping score.
The two lovebirds– Raze and Killjoy were making their sand-snowman. . .sandman, on one side, gathering seashells and washed up sticks and branches for the sandman's body parts.
Reyna peacefully lays on her deck chair under an umbrella, dark shades covering her eyes with a refreshing drink in her hand with Viper doing the same next to her.
Astra and Sage stood near the grilling station, preparing some snacks and refreshments for everyone to enjoy.
"Is Gaia not here yet?" Sova asked aloud, just stepping out of the water wearing blue trunks with his muscular upper body confidently exposed, he slicked his long wet hair back, biceps flexing as his eyes wandered around looking for you.
Sova lets out an teasing grin, reaching out for his towel from a deck chair.
"She'll be here any minute now," Sage said with a smile before chuckling. "She must be shy because if her swimsuit."
Sage made sure to find you the perfect swimwear that not only matches your skin tone but also greatly compliments your body.
"Did you actually get her in one?"
Absolutely not doubting the idea of you getting into a bikini.
"Ah, you do not know the struggles we faced in forcing her into one." Sage said in a playful tone.
"I don't want to ruin your expectations but," Chamber's voice chimed in, he was sitting on a deck chair next to Sova's wearing swimming trunks and an unbuttoned short sleeve shirt exposing his lean upper body.
"Isn't that Gaia over there, approaching us?" The french man's lips curled into an amused smirk. "Personally, I like what I'm seeing."
Following his direction the two looked to their left and immediately saw you.
Sova lets out a laugh and Sage's mouth fell.
"Oh my. . ."
"LET'S GOOO!" You shrieked from afar as you started to run towards the water.
You were literally wearing a black and white striped t-shirt and swimming shorts (yes, like the one from. . .idk old old times) with a bright yellow duck ring floatie around your waist and more floaters on your upper arms. Bright pink goggles already covering your eyes, kicking off your slippers as you neared the shore.
You didn't waste any precious time in jumping into the refreshing waters.
"Was that Gaia?" Brimstone asked.
"Yes. . ." Sage answered with an empty smile. "Out of everything we bought for her. . ."
Astra lets out a light-hearted laugh, "Well, what do you expect from our mother earth."
"Yo! Gaia's finally here." Phoenix announced from the volleyball area. "Chicken fight!"
"I've got the water guns over there!" Jett dashed towards her deck chair.
"Oi! Are we just forgetting this fight?" Yoru frowned, fire still in his eyes to play volleyball.
"Who cares bro, we were gonna win anyway." Phoenix said smugly.
"Why you–" Yoru went after him towards the water. "Get back here!"
"Hey, wait for me!" Neon excitedly dashed her way to the water as well.
Sova put down his towel before running towards the sea, "I call Gaia's team!"
"Not if I get to her first." Chamber suddenly said, running alongside the russian man.
Watching you already enjoy yourself in the water, the two were so close to you when suddenly, out of nowhere, you were raised from the water.
"Ah!" You squealed grabbing a hold of what seemed to be. . . Shoulders?
"Omen?"
". . .I wish to participate." He states in his deep voice, carrying you on his shoulders with his head in between your thighs. Jett and Phoenix had just joined in the waters as well with Yoru hot on their trail.
Chamber and Sova almost tripped to a stop.
"Merde."
"Гавно."
"Not fast enough huh?" Cypher teasingly mused at the two obviously looked distraught. Sova gave him a weird look.
"Why are you still wearing your work clothes." Sova comments.
From afar, Viper slipped on her shades.
"The children are getting noisier. . ." Viper uttered to herself.
"Lighten up, Viper." Reyna smiles, sipping her drink.
"Today is a great day."
HOLIDAY DINNER
You know what time it is: Cooking time
This time with Jett
This is going to be grand feast for sure
Sova tried to help again like before
Got blocked by Sage though
"I just want to help." Cue cute pleading face Sova
"Sure you do, friend." Sage dismissed, knowing another person might come by as well
It's already a little crowded in the kitchen
Finished a little earlier making dinner
Jett turned a little bit like Gordon Ramsay while cooking
"Where's the sauce??"
"Shit– uh, I'll make it right now."
"Double time, Gaia!"
"Y-Yes chef."
By Brimstone's royal decree, the dinner is now deemed: formal.
Everyone has to wear something formal
Thank gods you have more time to prepare.
You had just finished doing your hair and make-up when you suddenly heard a soft knock on the door.
Quickly getting up, you smoothed over the skirt of your dress and and cleared your throat.
"Come in."
The door slid open and you were face to face with–
"Ah, Chamber." You smiled. "What a nice surprise."
The man looked exquisite with his all-black suit, as always his hair was neat and slick, and that familiar scent of his cologne was starting to waft around your room.
Chamber stepped into your room before gently taking hold of your right hand.
"Ma chèrie," He smiles charmingly. "You look wonderful tonight."
You wore a short yet elegant cream-colored dress with puff sleeves partnered with a big bow styling your loose half up half down hair.
Bending slightly, he placed a soft kiss on your knuckles.
"As do you, monsieur." You grinned. "What brings you here."
"Well," the man sighs, straightening his posture once again. "I would like to have the honor of escorting you, ma belle."
You gave him a light chuckle, "It's just dinner, Chamber It's okay."
He then went to your side and stuck iut his arm.
"But if you insist." You smiled, accepting his offer as you wrapped your hand around his bicep, feeling it tense just a bit as you did.
"I'll take that offer."
As the two of you entered, almost everyone was already there.
"Oh, what's this that I see?" Phoenix grinned. "Gaia and Chamber are finally here!"
Your friends came to greet you as they slowly peeled you from Chamber's hold, complimenting your look and chatting you away from his grasp much to the french man's dismay.
"Well, I'll consider this your redemption from that swimsuit you wore three days ago." Sage joked, linking her arm with yours. "Your dress is adorable! Where did you get it?"
"Your bow reminds me of that old disney movie," Raze comments. "I think it was the little mermaid?" She turned to Killjoy for confirmation and her lover nods.
"Yup, the little mermaid."
You gave them a bright grin, "Thank you, my loves. You all look wonderful as well."
Sage wore a long and flowy baby blue dress while Killjoy and Raze wore matching white suits that were styled to match their own aesthetic.
"Sorry I'm late, everyone." Your eyes turned towards the door and found your mentor at the entrance.
"Woah. . ." You accidentally slipped under your breath
Sova came in wearing a tight black fitted button-up partnered with a dark blue blazer and slacks.
"Sova!" You greeted him with a wave, instantly gaining his attention, he gave you a smile before walking towards your direction.
Sage smiles coyly, pulling you a bit in place, "Ah, excuse us for a moment, Gaia."
"Oh yeah sure."
"Wait hold on I need to ask–" Killjoy was cut off by Sage ushering them out of the scene.
"Later, laterrr."
Exactly when the three of them had gone, Sova had reached you.
"Gaia, you look lovely." He compliments with a soft smile.
"Thank you, you look–" Your eyes accidentally darted towards his chest, catching yourself off guard from the sudden action, you quickly looked up– heart beating a little fast.
"You look dashing."
"Sorry to keep you waiting," Sova utters, a little out of breath. "I went to your room but I guess you already left."
"Ah, yeah," You chuckled shortly, "Chamber came in and asked if he could escort me."
Sova raised an eyebrow, "Did he?"
"Yup, he's right over there now." You nodded your head towards his direction, Sova following your gaze and locked eyes with the weapons designer.
Chamber gave him a smirk before lifting his champagne glass to your direction slightly.
"We're just waiting for Brim, then we can all finally eat." You comment with a sigh, looking over to the buffet of food laid out on the table. "Damn, I wanna eat already. What's taking him so lo–"
"Gaia."
"Hm?"
You gazed up to Sova with an innocent look, "What is it."
The man didn't say anything, instead he merely glanced up.
"Huh. . ?" Confused, you looked up, eyes widening as you saw what was above the two of you.
'Ah. . .' You could feel your cheeks starting to get hot as you looked at Sova with wide eyes.
Above your heads, there was a mistletoe.

OKAY SO I’M BAD AT WRITING BUT I KNOW THAT THERE ARE MANY TALENTED PEOPLE HERE THAT CAN DO IT SOOOOOO
i had this thought in my head for the longest time and don’t even know if anyone wrote this yet but imagine your room in the VP is “the comfort room”. like people just going in there to talk and just rest in comfortable silence or seek your presence.
like after a long day some of the agents just want to rant or just enjoy your company, you’ll be there to comfort and listen to them.
i think it’s really cute!!
MY FRIENDS BAITED ME INTO PLAYING VALORANT AND NOW I’M STUCK IN THE FANDOM. (i’m quite happy here actually)
also if anyone writes this please tag me i NEED to read it!!

In the bustling world of eSports, few could rival the fame of Pro-Gamer Miyawaki Sakura from Le Sserafim. Known for her sharp reflexes and strategic mind, she dominated the Valorant scene with her team. But recently, her attention had shifted to a new prodigy: a rookie male player who had taken the community by storm.
The Valorant community buzzed with excitement as Y/N, the rookie sensation, was making headlines. His gameplay was reminiscent of Tenz, combining precision with an uncanny ability to predict opponents' moves. Sakura, while preparing for her own matches, found herself drawn to his streams, captivated by his skill and charisma.
In her downtime, she would secretly watch his highlight reels, her heart racing at each clutch play. Little did anyone know, she had become one of his biggest fans.
The grand tournament was set, featuring some of the best teams in the world. Y/N’s team, Cloud9, was pitted against the reigning champions, Gen.G, in the semi-finals. The arena was electric, with fans eagerly anticipating the showdown.
As the match began, Y/N showcased his prowess with Jett, dashing through the map with surgical precision. The rounds were intense, each team trading blows, but Y/N consistently outperformed, making impossible shots and leading his team to victory.
Sakura, watching from the audience, couldn't help but cheer. Her heart fluttered with each of his plays. She was falling for him, and it was exhilarating.
The finals were set: Cloud9 versus Le Sserafim. The tension was palpable. As the teams gathered backstage, Sakura and Y/N finally met. He was charming, his confidence evident but not overbearing.
"Looking forward to our match," he said with a grin.
Sakura, momentarily flustered, replied, "I hope you're ready for a challenge."
Their banter was light-hearted, but both knew the stakes were high.
The match was legendary. Each map was a nail-biter, with both teams pushing their limits. The first match was set on Haven. As the timer counted down, Sakura’s fingers danced over her keyboard. She played Sage, anchoring the team with her healing and strategic walls.
The rookie’s team pushed aggressively. His precision with the Operator was deadly, picking off Le Sserafim members one by one. Sakura’s heart skipped a beat whenever she saw him on her screen, but she quickly refocused. She needed to keep her team in the game.
In a crucial round, Sakura found herself in a 1v3 situation. The crowd’s roar faded as she breathed deeply and clutched the round, using Sage’s abilities to perfection. The scoreboard evened out, and excitement crackled in the air. But Y/N retaliated on Ascent, his Jett plays leaving the crowd in awe.
The final map, Bind, was neck-and-neck. With the score tied, the last round would decide the victor. Y/N found himself in a 1v3 situation. The crowd held their breath as he deftly maneuvered, taking down two opponents. It was just him and Sakura now in a one-on-one duel. Sakura could feel the eyes of the crowd on her, the weight of her crush mingling with the pressure to win.
With nerves of steel, Sakura planted the spike. Y/N approached, anticipating her every move. The final showdown was a dance of skill and strategy, Sakura’s heart raced as she anticipated his moves, using her Viper abilities to outmaneuver him. The arena held its breath as she landed the final shot, securing victory for Le Sserafim.
"Congratulations,You were incredible out there." Y/N said, offering a handshake.
Sakura blushed and  took his hand warmly, her admiration for him evident. "I’ve been... a fan for a while," she admitted shyly.
Y/N grinned, "I’m honored, especially coming from someone like you."
As they shared a laugh, it was clear this was just the beginning of a new friendship—and perhaps something more.
————————————————————
In the days following the thrilling tournament, Sakura found herself constantly on the lookout for a glimpse of the rookie sensation, Y/N. Their moment of connection after the finals had left her with a fluttering heart and a newfound desire to get to know him better.
One afternoon, as Sakura was leaving the esports arena after a team practice, she turned a corner and nearly collided with a familiar face. There he was, Y/N, standing just a few feet away. Their eyes locked, and Sakura felt her breath catch in her throat.
"Sakura! I'm so sorry, I wasn't paying attention," Y/N said, a sheepish smile spreading across his face.
"No, no, it's my fault," Sakura replied, her voice barely above a whisper. "I... I wasn't expecting to see you here."
An awkward silence fell between them, and Sakura found herself searching for something to say, desperate to prolong their chance encounter.
"I was just, uh, heading out to get a coffee. Would you... would you like to join me?" Y/N asked, his eyes filled with a hopeful expression.
Sakura felt a surge of excitement at the invitation, her heart racing. "I'd love to," she responded, a shy smile spreading across her face.
As they walked side by side, the familiar scents of the arena fading in the distance, Sakura couldn't help but feel a growing sense of anticipation. This unexpected meeting had the potential to be the start of something truly extraordinary.
The cozy café was filled with the aroma of freshly brewed coffee and the soft murmur of conversation as Sakura and Y/N settled into a quiet corner. The atmosphere was casual and relaxed, yet Sakura couldn't help but feel a subtle tension between them, a palpable energy that crackled in the air.
"So, how have you been?" Y/N asked, his voice gentle and warm.
"I've been good, just... you know, practicing and preparing for the next tournament," Sakura replied, her fingers nervously wrapped around her mug.
An awkward silence fell between them, and Sakura found herself desperately searching for something to say, a way to break through the barriers and truly connect with Y/N.
Summoning her courage, she looked up and met his gaze. "I... I've been thinking about our match a lot, you know. The way you played, it was... it was amazing."
Y/N's eyes widened slightly, a hint of a smile tugging at the corners of his lips. "Really? I... I'm glad you enjoyed it. I have to admit, I've been thinking about it a lot too."
Their eyes locked, and the world around them seemed to fade away. Sakura could feel the energy shifting between them, the subtle flicker of something more than just a friendly connection.
"I... I'd love to play with you again sometime, if you're up for it," Sakura said, her voice soft and hopeful.
Y/N nodded, a warm smile spreading across his face. "Absolutely. I'd be more than happy to."
As they made plans to meet up for a gaming session, Sakura couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement and anticipation. This casual meetup had opened the door to something deeper, and she was eager to see where this journey would lead them.
The familiar hum of gaming rigs and the click of keyboards filled the air as Sakura and Y/N immersed themselves in a friendly match. The tension between them had dissipated, replaced by a sense of comfortable camaraderie as they strategized and executed their plays.
Sakura found herself captivated by Y/N's skill and focus, the way his brow furrowed in concentration and the way his lips parted slightly as he issued commands. She couldn't help but steal glances at him, admiring the way he commanded the virtual battlefield.
As the match progressed, their communication and teamwork became increasingly seamless, each of them anticipating the other's moves and working in perfect harmony. Sakura felt a surge of pride and exhilaration, not just from the thrill of the game, but from the growing connection she felt with Y/N.
When the final round came to an end, the two pro-gamers sat back, their eyes meeting in a silent exchange. Sakura could feel the tension building, the unspoken feelings that lingered between them.
"That was... really amazing," Y/N said, his voice soft and sincere. "You're an incredible player, Sakura."
"Thank you," Sakura replied, her heart racing. "You were incredible as well. I... I really enjoyed playing with you."
Tumblr media
The air between them was thick with a palpable energy, and Sakura knew that the moment was ripe with the promise of something more. She felt a surge of courage, a desire to take a leap and explore the depths of this connection.
"Hey, would you... would you maybe want to grab a coffee sometime?" Sakura asked, her voice barely above a whisper. "I'd love to... to get to know you better."
Y/N's eyes widened, a warm smile spreading across his face. "I'd love that, Sakura. I really would."
The days that followed were filled with a sense of anticipation and excitement for Sakura. Her casual coffee date with Y/N had opened the door to a budding friendship, one that she found herself eagerly nurturing. They would meet up regularly, sometimes to game together, other times to simply chat and get to know each other better.
In those quiet moments, Sakura reveled in the easy banter and the genuine connection that was blossoming between them. There was a palpable chemistry that crackled in the air, a spark that both of them seemed hesitant to acknowledge, at least for the time being.
As the next major Valorant tournament loomed on the horizon, Sakura found herself torn between her professional obligations and the growing desire to explore this newfound relationship. She knew that the competition would be fierce, and she couldn't afford any distractions. Yet, the prospect of being apart from Y/N for an extended period left her with a sense of unease.
————————————————————
The hype and anticipation surrounding the upcoming Valorant tournament reached a fever pitch, with players and fans alike eagerly awaiting the clash of the titans. Sakura and her team, Le Sserafim, were considered the clear favorites, their dominant performances in previous events cementing their status as the team to beat.
But as Sakura prepared for the tournament, her focus began to waver. Memories of her time with Y/N would creep into her thoughts, distracting her from the intense training regimen she had so meticulously followed. The more she tried to push these feelings aside, the more they seemed to consume her.
One evening, after a grueling practice session, Sakura found herself alone in the team's gaming lounge, her fingers gently tracing the edges of her mouse. She couldn't shake the sense of longing that had taken root in her heart, the desire to be with Y/N and explore the depths of their connection.
It was in that moment of vulnerability that she made a fateful decision – a decision that would have far-reaching consequences, both for her professional career and her personal life.
————————————————————
The flashing lights and thunderous cheers of the Valorant tournament filled the arena as Sakura and Y/N took their positions on the stage. The energy was palpable, the air thick with anticipation as the two pro-gamers faced off in a highly anticipated match.
Sakura gripped her mouse, her eyes narrowed in concentration as she scanned the virtual battlefield. Y/N mirrored her expression, his brow furrowed as he plotted his team's strategy. The opening rounds were a tense back-and-forth, with both players showcasing their impressive skills and split-second decision-making.
As the match progressed, the crowd erupted in applause and shouts of exhilaration. Sakura and Y/N were in perfect sync. The tension was palpable, neither side willing to back down.
In the final moments, the score was tied, and the outcome hung in the balance. Sakura felt her heart pounding in her chest as she maneuvered her agent, her mind racing with calculations and contingencies. Across the stage, Y/N was equally focused, his eyes locked on the screen as he made a crucial play.
The final round was a nail-biter, both players pushing the limits of their skill and strategy. Sakura held her breath, her entire being consumed by the intensity of the match. And then, in a flurry of action, Y/N emerged victorious, his team erupting in celebration.
Sakura felt a mix of emotions – pride, admiration, and a twinge of disappointment. As she shook Y/N's hand, their eyes met, and she saw a glimmer of something more than just a professional rivalry. The spark that had ignited between them still burned brightly, undimmed by the heat of their virtual clash.
In that moment, Sakura knew that this was far from the end of their story. The Valorant stage had brought them together, but the true connection that lay between them was something that transcended the virtual realm.
The post-match interviews and press conferences had dragged on, and Sakura found herself eagerly anticipating the moment when she and Y/N could finally steal away from the public eye. As she made her way through the crowded backstage area, she spotted him, his gaze fixed on the ground, seemingly lost in thought.
Approaching him cautiously, Sakura placed a gentle hand on his arm, causing him to look up, his eyes widening in surprise.
"Hey, you," she said softly, offering him a warm smile.
Y/N returned the smile, though Sakura could detect a hint of vulnerability in his expression. "Hey, Sakura. That was... quite a match, huh?"
"It was," Sakura replied, her voice low and intimate. "You played incredibly well. I'm... I'm really impressed."
A moment of silence passed between them, the weight of unspoken emotions hanging in the air. Sakura could feel the tension building, the desire to bridge the gap between them growing stronger with each passing second.
"Y/N, I..." she began, her voice trembling slightly. "I need to tell you something."
He looked at her, his eyes filled with a mixture of anticipation and apprehension. Sakura took a deep breath, summoning her courage.
"I... I've been thinking about you a lot. About us. And I... I can't stop thinking about the connection I feel between us. It's... it's more than just a professional rivalry, isn't it?"
Y/N remained silent, his expression unreadable. Sakura's heart raced, the uncertainty of his reaction threatening to consume her.
"I know this might be... complicated," she continued, her voice barely above a whisper. "But I... I need you to know how I feel. I don't want to keep this bottled up any longer."
The air was thick with tension as Sakura waited, her entire being focused on Y/N's response. The moment seemed to stretch on endlessly, until finally, he reached out and gently took her hand, his touch sending a shiver down her spine.
"Sakura..." he began, his voice low and filled with emotion. "I feel it too. I... I've been struggling with these feelings for a while now."
Sakura's breath caught in her throat, her heart threatening to burst from her chest. The vulnerability in Y/N's eyes was a mirror to her own, and in that moment, she knew that the path forward, though uncertain, was one they would navigate together.
The air crackled with a potent mixture of vulnerability and anticipation as Sakura and Y/N stood there, their hands intertwined, the world around them fading into the background.
"I've been... so afraid to say anything," Sakura confessed, her voice barely above a whisper. "I didn't want to jeopardize our careers, our friendship. But I can't keep denying what I feel for you."
Y/N gave her hand a gentle squeeze, his eyes reflecting the same tumultuous emotions she was experiencing. "Sakura, I feel the same way. These past few months, getting to know you, being around you... it's been both exhilarating and terrifying."
Sakura felt a surge of relief wash over her, but the uncertainty that lingered was palpable. "What do we do now? This... this could complicate things, both on and off the field."
"I don't know," Y/N admitted, his brow furrowed in contemplation. "But I do know that I don't want to lose you, Sakura. Whatever happens, I want us to figure this out. Together."
Sakura's heart swelled with a mixture of joy and trepidation. She knew the challenges they would face, the scrutiny and the potential fallout, but in that moment, all that mattered was the connection they shared.
"Okay," she said, her voice steadier now. "Let's take this one step at a time. We'll figure it out, no matter what."
Y/N nodded, a small smile tugging at the corners of his lips. "I'm with you, Sakura. Through it all."
As they stood there, hand in hand, the weight of their decision hung heavy in the air. But there was also a glimmer of hope, a promise of a future that was theirs to shape, no matter the obstacles that lay ahead.
————————————————————
The aftermath of the Valorant tournament was a whirlwind of activity, with both teams and players facing intense scrutiny and media attention. Sakura and Y/N had made the conscious decision to keep their newfound relationship under wraps, at least for the time being.
However, their carefully guarded secret was not destined to remain hidden for long. During a post-match interview, a seemingly innocuous question about their "close friendship" triggered a line of questioning that quickly spiraled out of control.
Sakura felt her heart race as the interviewer probed deeper, hinting at the possibility of a romantic involvement between the two pro-gamers. She glanced at Y/N, who was visibly tense, his jaw clenched as he struggled to maintain his composure.
The tension in the room was palpable, and Sakura knew that they were rapidly running out of time to address the situation before it spun entirely out of their control. She took a deep breath, summoning her courage, and made the decision to speak up.
"Look, the truth is, Y/N and I... we have developed a deep connection. One that goes beyond just being teammates or competitors." Sakura paused, her gaze unwavering as she met the interviewer's eyes. "We've been trying to navigate this situation as best we can, but the reality is, we care about each other. Deeply."
The room erupted in a flurry of activity, with reporters shouting questions and cameras flashing. Sakura felt Y/N's hand brush against hers, offering a silent show of support amidst the chaos.
In that moment, they both knew that there was no going back. Their relationship was now public knowledge, and the consequences, both professional and personal, would be significant. But as they stood there, facing the storm together, Sakura couldn't help but feel a sense of resolve.
Whatever lay ahead, they would face it side by side, determined to forge their own path and to explore the depths of their connection, no matter the cost.
The fallout from the public reveal of Sakura and Y/N's relationship was swift and unforgiving. The esports community, known for its intense rivalries and cutthroat nature, erupted in a frenzy of speculation, criticism, and even outright hostility.
Both players found themselves at the center of a media storm, their every move scrutinized and dissected. Accusations of favoritism, bias, and potential conflicts of interest began to swirl, threatening to overshadow their impressive accomplishments on the Valorant stage.
Sakura and Y/N weathered the storm with remarkable resilience, though the emotional toll was undeniable. They faced intense pressure from their respective teams, as well as from sponsors and league officials, all of whom were concerned about the potential impact on their brands and reputations.
Yet, amidst the chaos, their bond only grew stronger. They leaned on each other, offering support, comfort, and a steadfast determination to weather the storm together. In the rare moments they could steal away from the public eye, they would simply hold each other, drawing strength from the connection that had blossomed between them.
"I never imagined it would be this difficult," Sakura confessed one night, her head resting on Y/N's shoulder. "But I don't regret it, Y/N. I don't regret choosing you."
Y/N pressed a gentle kiss to her forehead, his arms tightening around her. "Neither do I, Sakura. We'll get through this. I promise."
As they sat there, the weight of the world seemingly on their shoulders, they knew that their love would be the anchor that kept them grounded, even in the face of the most turbulent storms.
————————————————————
Despite the intense scrutiny and controversy surrounding their relationship, Sakura and Y/N refused to let it dampen their competitive spirit. As the next major Valorant tournament approached, they were more determined than ever to prove their worth on the virtual battlefield.
In the weeks leading up to the event, they immersed themselves in a rigorous training regimen, pushing their skills to new heights. Sakura could feel the electricity coursing through her veins as she honed her strategies, her focus laser-sharp and unwavering.
Y/N, for his part, matched her intensity, his gameplay reaching new levels of precision and adaptability. The two of them were in perfect sync, their communication and teamwork seamless as they coordinated their team's movements.
As the tournament began, the scrutiny and pressure only seemed to fuel their determination. Sakura and Y/N were a force to be reckoned with, their performances captivating the audience and their opponents alike.
With each successive win, the noise and criticism that had once threatened to overwhelm them began to fade into the background. All that mattered was the thrill of the competition, the rush of adrenaline, and the unbreakable bond that united them.
And as the final match of the prestigious Valorant tournament commenced. Sakura and Y/N, once fierce rivals, now united by a love that transcended the virtual battlefield, found themselves pitted against each other once more – but this time, the stakes were higher than ever before.
The world watched with bated breath as the two pro-gamers led their respective teams through a grueling series of rounds, their skills and strategic prowess on full display. The intensity of the competition was palpable, the tension thick enough to be cut with a knife.
Yet, amidst the fierceness of the battle, Sakura and Y/N shared fleeting glances, a silent language that spoke volumes of the profound connection they shared. Their teamwork and synergy were unparalleled, each anticipating the other's moves, their decisions seamlessly in sync.
As the match reached its crescendo, the score remained tied, both teams refusing to back down. It was in this moment of pure, unadulterated tension that Sakura and Y/N found their moment to shine.
With a flawless execution of a daring maneuver, Y/N outmaneuvered Sakura's team, securing the final victory for his squad. The arena erupted in thunderous cheers, the fans captivated by the sheer brilliance of the play.
In the aftermath, Sakura and Y/N met in the center of the virtual battlefield, their eyes locking in a moment of profound understanding. Y/N reached out, gently taking Sakura's hand, and in that instant, the world seemed to fade away, leaving only the two of them.
"Congratulations, Y/N," Sakura whispered, a soft smile gracing her lips. "You were amazing out there."
Tumblr media
Y/N returned the smile, his thumb caressing the back of her hand. "I couldn't have done it without you, Sakura. This victory belongs to both of us."
In that moment, their bond transcended the confines of the tournament, their love shining through as a testament to the belief that true triumph could only be found in the strength of their shared journey. The world watched in awe, captivated by the raw, unadulterated emotion that radiated from the two pro-gamers.
As they stepped off the virtual stage, hand in hand, Sakura and Y/N knew that their story was just beginning. The future was theirs to shape, a canvas upon which they would continue to paint the masterpiece of their love – a love that would inspire generations to come, a love that knew no boundaries.

Hello! I was wondering if you could do headcanons for the valorant agents: Gekko, Neon, Yoru, Phoenix with sova and chamber or whoever you feel with an s/o that when they’re in danger is able to kill whatever or whoever’s endangering them wether it’s like 15+ people or so (like Millie with moxie from helluva boss)
hi anon! tysm for the request!!!! this was a blast to write ahhh!!! :D (also i love helluva boss omg)
but i hope i wrote this right!!!
Tumblr media
Gekko
the two of you were on a mission at bind, it was simple. you go difuse the spike while he was assigned to watch your back.
he had to walk a few feet away to pick up wingman for five minutes, you would be fine right?
once he picked up wingman, he heard a loud bang behind him and a loud celebratory woop
"oh fuck."
he turned around and saw the familar wild colours from raze's showstopper.
"no no no! shit you good?" he called through the smoke
he hated the silence he recieved back. as the smoke cleared he saw your paint covered and burnt body.
"...cariño?...shit, wingman, go get the others. i got these guys."
he pulled out his customized spectre as he prepared to fight. he detained as many as he could before swiftly wiping them out one by one.
when the team arrived with wingman, sage quickly rushed to your side to aid you.
once he finished taking care of the enemies, he ran to your side
"i am so sorry...i thought i could go grab wingman but you got hurt...i am really sorry.."
Tumblr media
Neon
a/n: this is small bc i wrote a whole ass essay for neon and it deleted....im so mad...im just trying to summarize it
"HOY! IM PISSED."
that was the last thing before you felt a sharp pain in your stomach as your vision went black.
you don't know what happened, but somehow yoru had gotten behind you. it was supposed to be a quick and simple mission. neon took A-site and you took B-site. unfortunately, right when neon approached B-site to check on you. she saw it.
red. the snow was covered in a beautiful shade of red. and it wasn't from your attacked. neon could feel electricity enter her fingertips as she lost control of her abilities.
you felt neon carrying you before falling uncomcious.
neon carried you to the jet and brought you to sage.
"im sorry...when i saw them like that i just...lost control of my abilities.."
"its ok, you did it to protect them. you saved them."
Tumblr media
Phoenix
he was just returning from his "run it back" when he opened his eyes to see the enemy phoenix staring back at him, aiming his ghost at his own forehead.
he went to grab for his ghost but he found an empty holster.
"ah shit."
"you really thought i wouldn't just take your weapon? i'm not as foolish as you are."
phoenix braced for impact as he heard the gun fire, but the shot never came. he nervously opened his eyes to see you standing infront of him, a gunshot hole through your shoulder as you pushed the enemy phoenix away.
"dear?! what the-"
he watched as your limp body falls to the ground, feeling worry and rage overtake him.
"oh fam...your gonna regret that." he says to the opposite phoenix as the rest of his team approaches for backup.
when skye arrived at the site to treat you, she did not expect to see 5 charred bodies sprawled across the ground.
"mate...what happened?!"
"they ambushed us. (name) saved me cause i made a dumb mistake. go heal them, i am fine." he said with a dark tone to his voice
when skye healed you and you awoke, you were immediately greeted to the smell of burning. you turned your head towards phoenix as you saw him crouch beside you.
"thank god...why would you do that?! i'm sorry if i had checked my surroundings better you would have-" he rambles
you cut him off with a kiss as you feel his tired body begin to relax.
"no. i should have thought of a better plan. i am sorry i worried you."
for the next few days of your recovery, he will be by your side assisting you with anything you need. both of you content to try and ignore what happened that day.
Tumblr media
Yoru
prior to meeting you, he was an extremely anger filled person. he still gets angry easy, but not as badly as before. you taught him how to control his emotions
but if he were to see you ganged up on in a mission, he would just lose control.
he was over at A-site at haven preparing to extract the radianite, before hearing your frantic voice shout through the comms for backup.
his heart dropped, he realized why his site was so empty along with the others. they had five-stacked onto one site. you had gone to C-site all alone. shit.
he immediately threw the spike towards Astra who had accompanied him to the A.
"stay here. i will go provide backup."
"alone? alright...stay safe."
he quickly teleported to your C-site to be met with a shocking sight. your battered and blood covered body lying down on the rough ground. burns and scratches littered your arms and legs. phoenix..
he looked up from your body to see the enemy phoenix, jett, chamber, astra, and skye staring at him with bloodthirsty gazes. they had teamed up on you because you were alone... how fucking sick could they be to attack a helpless sentienel.
he felt himself snap as he caught the enemy phoenix's cocky smirk. the cunt was proud of what he did.
when you regain conciousness, you are lying on the ground surrounded by the shredded corpses of the omega agents, a stained red yoru standing above them with his famous butterfly comb stained.
"...ryo?"
he turns around and immediately runs to your side.
"shit...thank god you are awake. don't move. help is coming ok?" he softly whispers while carressing your blood matted hair.
"are they...?"
"don't worry about them, you are safe now darling..."
when you make it back to base, you find out he took them all down on his own. when astra arrived at the site she had to practically tear yoru off of where he was mauling the corpses of the omega agents bodies.
he was ordered to talk to sage about his anger, but he never regretted what he did. he did it to save you and all that mattered was he had you back with him.
Tumblr media
Cypher
he is used to killing to protect those he loves, this is nothing new to him.
he might be a cold killer, but you always knew he would never hurt you.
if someone was threatening you, he would keep them away using blackmail, but if it was more serious, he was prepared.
he sat waiting at the doors for the agents who had gone on your mission to come back. he was ready to greet you but he never thought he would have seen KA/YO holding you slung over his shoulder covered in blood.
he immediately freezes as he watches KA/YO rush to Sage's office. but he quickly recovers and follows quickly behind silently.
when sage caught sight of your body, she grimaced knowing it was bad. she ordered everyone out and allowed her space to work.
cypher was left with no answers as to what happened, as he sat anxiously outside Sage's office he hears KA/YO's robotic voice informing Viper of what happened.
"they went to go flank A alone, but their cypher must have seen her coming. when we arrived at A-site they were gone with the spike, they must have ambushed y/n and left her there for us to find...it was..bad. skye was able to help a little bit but...when we got there, they were missing their hand. im pretty sure they were awake when they did it."
"bastards..."
cypher could feel his blood BOILING. it was one thing to knock someone out, it was another to mutilate someone while they were awake. that wasn't fighting, that was mere torture.
he knew in this job people would get hurt. but he never thought they would ever go this far.
he was greatful you had lived, but he felt a burning feeling in his body.
as viper walked by, she stoped and turned to simply say.
"i know she was special to you Cypher, but don't do anything stupid. we don't need two people to revive."
he stood in place before walking to his room, he would make sure they couldn't hurt you. EVER again.
at the peak of night, he slipped out of his room and headed towards the armoury. he grabbed a ghost and a phantom before quietly walking towards the loading dock. he would make them regret ever hurting you.
.......
in the morning, you were awoken to a tired looking sage.
"welcome back my child. you sure gave us a scare there. how do you feel?" she smiled wistfully
as she filled you in, you couldn't help but wonder where your partner was. typically he was by your bedside until you woke up.
"Ling...where is Cy?" you softly asked
she grinned at the nickname "don't worry, he is in brimstones office. your little boyfriend pulled a stunt to avenge you."
"oh god, is he ok? what did he do?" you sigh
"oh don't worry, he is fine! the agents who ambushed you on the other hand.."
you and sage converse for a while, before you see cypher nervously walk into the room
"my darling! how are you feeling? do you need anything?" he asks worriedly
"i feel good amir. don't worry. sage is taking good care of me!" you chuckle
he sighs in relief, he may have gotten a lecture (and maybe some cleaning duty...) but it was all worth it to see your face again.
Tumblr media
☤ Sage ☤
full battle sage mode
she would grab an odin off her copies body and just start spraying.
"you will not kill my allies!"
the second the enemies were down, she rushes to your side to heal you.
she will work all night if she has to, as long as it brings you back to her
"please wake up dearest...i can't live without you."
sorry idk what to write for sage HELP

Kenma Kozume had always preferred the quiet company of his video games over the bustling chatter of his classmates. However, there was one person who managed to divert his attention from the screen—a girl in his class who was both cute and mysterious. She rarely spoke, always keeping to herself, and that intrigued Kenma more than he cared to admit.
For weeks, he admired her from afar, sneaking glances during class and wondering what kind of person she was. Her name was Y/N, and she seemed to float through school like a ghost, leaving Kenma with a growing curiosity.
One afternoon, as Kenma and his best friend Kuroo Tetsurou sat on a bench during lunch, Kenma's eyes once again drifted towards Y/N, who was sitting under a tree, reading a book. Kuroo, ever observant, followed Kenma’s gaze and smirked.
“You’ve been staring at her for weeks, Kenma. When are you going to talk to her?”
Kenma blushed, tearing his eyes away. “I don’t know what you’re talking about.”
Kuroo rolled his eyes. “Come on, man. You like her, don’t you?”
Kenma sighed, knowing it was pointless to deny it. “Yeah, I guess I do. But she’s… she’s different. I don’t know how to approach her.”
Kuroo’s smirk widened. “That’s why you’ve got me.” He stood up, grabbing Kenma by the arm. “Come on. Let’s go talk to her.”
“Kuroo, wait!” Kenma protested, but Kuroo was already dragging him across the campus.
As they approached Y/N, Kuroo called out, “Hey there! Mind if we join you?”
Y/N looked up, slightly startled, but she nodded. “Sure.”
Kuroo plopped down on the grass, pulling Kenma with him. “I’m Kuroo Tetsurou, and this is Kenma Kozume. He’s in your class.”
Y/N smiled softly. “I know. I’m Y/N. Nice to meet you.”
Kenma managed a shy smile. “Hi.”
Kuroo nudged Kenma with his elbow. “Kenma here was just wondering if you’re into any games.”
Y/N’s eyes lit up with interest. “Actually, I am. I play a lot of different games. Do you play too, Kenma?”
Kenma’s heart skipped a beat. “Yeah, I do. What games do you play?”
“A bit of everything, but I’ve been really into Valorant lately,” Y/N said, her smile growing.
Kenma’s eyes widened in surprise. “Really? I play Valorant too.”
Y/N’s smile turned into a grin. “Maybe we could play together sometime?”
Kenma felt his cheeks heat up, with his newfound yet hesitant confidence he decided to take the shot. “That would be great. Do you have Discord? We can exchange usernames and play tonight.”
Y/N nodded, pulling out her phone. “Sure. Here’s mine.”
Kenma fumbled for his phone, quickly adding her on Discord. As they exchanged usernames, he felt a mixture of excitement and nervousness. This was really happening.
As they said their goodbyes Kuroo slaps a hand on Kenma’s back. “Way to go kenma!” he smirks. Kenma just ignored him as usual.
That night, Kenma sat at his desk, staring at his computer screen, waiting for Y/N to come online. He was so nervous that she would ghost him or forget. Maybe he was overthinking it but he couldn’t help it. When her username finally popped up, he felt a surge of anticipation.
He clicked on her name and sent a message: “Hey, ready to play?”
Her response was almost immediate: “Yep! Let’s do this.”
They joined a voice chat, and Kenma’s heart pounded as he heard her voice through his headphones. “Hey, Kenma.”
“Hi, Y/N,” he replied, trying to keep his voice steady.
They launched Valorant and joined a game. At first, Y/N’s voice was calm and collected, much like her demeanor at school.
“Hey I hope you don’t mind but I’m gonna instalock Reyna.” She said in her gentle voice. “That’s fine with me, I can play Sage or Omen.” Kenma responded with his signature soft spoken voice.
But as the game progressed, Kenma began to see a different side of her. She was incredibly skilled, her movements precise and strategic. And when she spoke in team chat, her quiet exterior melted away, revealing a fiery and competitive spirit.
“Get on site!” she commanded, her voice filled with intensity. “Cover me, I’m planting the spike.”
At some point she started insulting the bottom frags. Which he found hot.
Kenma was taken aback by her sudden aggression but found it strangely captivating. She wasn’t just good; she was amazing. Her calm demeanor at school had given no hint of this fierce competitor lurking beneath the surface.
As the game continued, Kenma found himself drawn deeper into their teamwork. Y/N’s commands were sharp and effective, and he followed her lead without question. They dominated the match, and by the end, their team had secured a decisive victory.
“GG EZ, well played,” Y/N said, her voice returning to its usual calm tone.
Kenma couldn’t hide his admiration. “You’re really good, Y/N.”
She laughed softly. “Thanks, Kenma. You’re not bad yourself. I had a lot of fun.”
“Me too,” Kenma said, a smile spreading across his face.
After logging off, Kenma lay in bed, replaying the evening’s events in his mind. He had always admired Y/N from afar, but now, after seeing her in action, he felt something deeper. Her mysterious allure, combined with her fierce gaming skills, had captivated him completely.
The next day at school, Kenma spotted Y/N in the hallway. Gathering his courage, he walked up to her. “Hey, Y/N.”
She turned, her smile lighting up her face. “Hey, Kenma. Ready for another game tonight?”
Kenma’s heart raced. “Definitely.”
As they walked to class together, Kenma realized that his admiration had blossomed into something more. And for the first time, he felt like he had a real chance to get to know the mysterious girl who had captured his heart.
Over the next few weeks, Kenma and Y/N spent countless hours talking and playing games together. Their bond grew stronger with each passing day, and eventually, they transitioned from friends to something more. Kenma had never felt this way about anyone before, and Y/N's presence brought a new warmth to his life.
One evening, as they were wrapping up a gaming session, Kenma had an idea. "Hey, Y/N, what do you think about playing with some of my friends next time?"
Y/N smiled through the voice chat. "Sure, that sounds fun. Who do you have in mind?"
"Just a couple of guys from the volleyball team. Kuroo and Bokuto," Kenma replied. "They’re pretty good at games, but I think they'll be in for a surprise."
Y/N chuckled. "I’m looking forward to it."
The next day, Kenma met up with Kuroo and Bokuto. Akaashi was there too but he didn’t say much. They were having a game of volleyball at kuroo’s backyard. With a slight grin on his face. "Hey, you guys up for a game of Valorant tonight?"
Kuroo raised an eyebrow. "Sure, but why the sudden invite?"
Kenma shrugged, trying to appear casual. "I thought it’d be fun to play with my girlfriend."
Bokuto's eyes widened. "Girlfriend? You have a girlfriend?"
Kenma nodded. "Yeah. We’ve been playing together for a while now. Her name’s Y/N."
Kuroo smirked. "Well, well, Kenma. Didn’t know you had it in you. Sure, we’ll play. But you know, we’re pretty good. Hope she can keep up."
Kenma’s grin widened. "Trust me, you two are the ones who’ll need to keep up."
That Evening Kenma, Kuroo, Bokuto, and Y/N joined the Valorant lobby. Kuroo and Bokuto exchanged greetings with Y/N, their tone friendly but skeptical.
“So, Y/N,” Kuroo said, “Kenma tells us you’re pretty good at this game.”
Y/N’s voice was calm and confident. “I do alright. Let’s see how we do as a team.”
As the game began, it didn’t take long for Kuroo and Bokuto to realize that Y/N was not just good—she was exceptional. She led the team with precision, her strategic calls and sharp shooting turning the tide of every round. Kenma supported her flawlessly, their teamwork a testament to the hours they had spent playing together.
“Nice shot, Y/N!” Bokuto exclaimed after she single-handedly took down three opponents. “You’re amazing!”
Kuroo, usually confident, was uncharacteristically quiet, his respect for Y/N growing with each headshot she landed. By the end of the match, Y/N was at the top of the scoreboard, Kenma second with Kuroo and Bokuto trailing behind.
As they exited the game, Kuroo let out a low whistle. “Kenma, you weren’t kidding. Y/N, you’re incredible.”
Bokuto chimed in, “Yeah, Kenma’s a lucky guy to have you as his teammate—and his girlfriend.”
Kenma felt a surge of pride and happiness. “Thanks, guys. I told you she was good.”
Y/N laughed softly. “It was fun playing with you all. Let’s do it again sometime.”
As they logged off, Kuroo and Bokuto couldn’t stop talking about Y/N’s skills. Kenma, content and happy, realized just how lucky he was—not just to have Y/N as a girlfriend, but also as a partner in gaming and in life.

One Hazy Winter [Iso x F! Reader] [6]
[ Part 1 / Part 2 / Part 3 / Part 4 / Part 5 / Part 6 ]
Genre: Angst, fluff ‎
TW: Heavy depression, implied suicide ‎ ‎
Words: 5.8k ‎
Synopsis: One winter before his disappearance, you told your boyfriend Yu about a question you’ve had for so long; one even he could hardly respond to. It took many more hopeless winters for you to finally have your answer.‎
Note: Please don't copy or steal my work and pass it off as your own! If you'd like to use one of my headcanons or something, I'd love it if you tagged or asked.
Heya! So I planned on doing this after I finished this story, turns out the scenes were too long and I need split it in two. Anyway, while I was tidying this, I couldn't decide on who the protagonist for my next x reader should be. So I'm making a poll! I'll be posting it within the next few days. I'm REALLY leaning towards Clove, but I thought it would be better if you guys chose instead. Thanks and have a good read!

Ying immediately rushed to her car when you shut the call and sped towards Yu’s house with only a coat to keep her warm.
Her neighbourhood’s location didn’t allow the haze to obscure too much of the residents’ vision. It was a good amount, but not debilitatingly blinding like your area unfortunately was.
And to her relief, the storm had abated by the time she had finally arrived at Yu’s house. For a moment, she was led to believe that you weren’t there yet, but all of that hope quickly dissipated once she saw faint footsteps imprinted on the thick snow just in front of her. Even with the storm that was still ongoing at the time, the rapid snowflakes weren’t falling fast enough to fully cover them.
This let her know you arrived way before her, all in the middle of a blizzard.
Ying slowly stepped out of her car and hugged herself in an effort to keep herself safe from the cold. It wasn’t much, and she wasn’t exactly built to stay warm with just her hands, but it was the best she could do at the moment.
She took out her spare keys and scrambled to open the front door, all while struggling to ignore the stinging cold temperature of the handle she so desperately pulled on. With one final click, the door swung open, and she was swiftly allowed an entrance to a house as lifeless and miserable as the atmosphere that engulfed her. With a deep breath, she rushed right through, swallowing all her fears with her.
‎ ‎
Everything was dark; the air was heavy… It all felt so constricted and suffocating. The windows were shut, and the lingering smog and rapid snowfall effortlessly blocked any sun rays from entering. But despite all of this, the house still felt unbearably cold from the inside. That, and there was still a considerable amount of misplaced light coming from... Her eyes promptly fell on the source, and it didn’t take long for her to come to her own conclusion.
The doors to the backyard were ajar, and this freely let in the cold and the snow without concern for the consequences. It was easy to tell that you pulled them open and rushed outside as fast as you could.
A sigh escaped her, and she moved through the vast yet smothering living room.
‎ ‎
“Y/N?”
‎ ‎
She called out, the echo of her voice only forcing her to outline the shakiness of it, how concerned she was. Even her muffled steps weren’t spared from the mocking reverberation around her as she slowly marched towards the double doors. And with each step, the higher the possibility was that you had died. Hypothermia at the absolute best. But at worst? Even if it logically made sense, she wanted to do anything but consider it.
It didn't take long for her to finally arrive in front of the two doors, her bare fingers slowly wrapping around the handle.
‎ ‎
“Y/N, are you out here?”
‎ ‎
Ying asked sheepishly as she pulled it wide open. But immediately, she fell into silence at the sight.
In front of her were the very trees that were so lively and vivid just a few weeks ago. Their hypnotisingly green leaves, and especially the white flowers she found so pretty. All of it was missing; it was violently ripped off with little regard. Now, the only thing all of the dead branches were capable of lifting was the very snow that killed it, all signs of life having scattered within mere hours.
There were no flowers. There were no leaves. All that remained was the filthy aroma of death and a few lemons that swung hopelessly in the wind, all dangling under the mercy of the second incoming blizzard. Only one more push from the merciless winds was all it took for them to disappear as well.
Ying's eyes then fell on your figure. You were on your knees, not too far away from the decaying trees you were facing, hands on your lap, shoulders slumped, silent, and... unmoving. Still like a statue. It's not that she wasn't beyond grateful that you were alive; she absolutely was, but this... this stasis, so to speak, immediately flooded her with concern.
At least when Yu was in a state somewhat similar to yours, Ying could tell that he was alive. You looked no different from a dead body.
‎ ‎
“Are… Are you okay…?”
‎ ‎
Ying slowly moved down the steps concealed by snow, her feet digging through inches upon inches of it before finally reaching solid ground. You had already processed her presence by the time she got close.
But even as she placed one hand on your shoulder, you didn't react. You couldn’t. Once she leaned closer for a better look, only now could Ying just barely dig out the empty expression on your face through the small openings in your pitch-black hair. The pure, unalloyed sense of detachment etched on your features, and that dreadful empty glare. Even though it was quite a laughable expectation considering who you were, she had assumed there would be tears, or… for you to scream, something like that. Somehow, this was much, much worse.
She stopped and knelt right beside you, unsure how to ease your sorrows after such a loss. Not when you were so silent and gave her absolutely nothing to work with.
‎ ‎
"Y/N, I'm– I’m so sorry..."
‎ ‎
Ying earned naught of a response from you.
You didn’t bother to note just how stiff and numb the tips of your fingers felt. It could be bloody frostbite for all you care, but that did little to shift your concerns. It was nothing in the face of what had just happened. It was hard to convince yourself not to chop down all of the trees again and call it quits. Drop gardening and rot in bed all day. Just like last time.
It took you years to build up the courage to plant again, let alone enter your dead boyfriend's house and spend more than two minutes there. Just a few years ago, the thought of your parents' and Yu's favourite fruits would nauseate you.
You thought you had come so far, only for this to happen. And in your mind, there was one concept that had now become clear. Everything you ever work for, everything that could ever make you happy, winter will be there to wash it all away in the blink of an eye… for no reason. So really, why bother? You mused to yourself, ignorant to the snow that surrounded your now-numb legs. Why bother plucking the last few lemons that dangled from the branches? They'd rot anyway. Or something would be wrong with them. Infested with some fungal disease you missed, probably. They'd wither away like everything else.
Your parents, Yu, and now this.
You felt all of the misery that used to swim in your mind return. And in this situation, it was the only thing that felt familiar. The familiarity of the heaviness in your body that would prevent you from moving, and the familiarity of vehemently refusing to see a tomorrow if Yu wasn't within your vicinity. The familiarity of depending on others for a better state of mind.
Ugh.
Ying flinched once you stood up all of a sudden and moved forward. She immediately followed your lead, placing one hand on your shoulder to stop you.
‎ ‎
"What are you doing?"
‎ ‎
"I'm taking those lemons."
‎ ‎
"What? No, it's too dangerous. Let's just head back inside, I–"
‎ ‎
"Go inside– are you kidding? So I can mope when the blizzard inevitably takes it all away? I'm not going to do that anymore."
‎ ‎
“Y/N, it’s too dangerous!”
‎ ‎
You ignored her.
But just as you took a step away, you felt a firm hold on your wrist that forced you to cut your path short. You angrily met Ying's gaze in response, but she was quick to speak before you could.
‎ ‎
"Listen to me! We can wait for the blizzard to pass, plant another tree, and start all over again. Anything. Please just listen to me, Y/N. This is suicide!"
‎ ‎
"I've had enough of this! I'm not going to be passive anymore! Don't you dare drag me down!"
‎ ‎
She furrowed her brow.
‎ ‎
“These trees can die, Y/N, we can always plant another; but what if something happens to you?!”
‎ ‎
“Let go of me! You’re wasting your breath.”
‎ ‎
You attempted to pull away, but Ying kept you firmly in her hold. So much so, you were sure she could cut off your circulation with a bit more pressure. Since when was she this strong?
‎ ‎
"I understand that winter took everything from you and put you in depression. But, please, don't let it take you away as well!"
‎ ‎
"Winter didn't put me in anything, Ying. I let winter do this to me." You clenched your fist. "And I'm fed up with it! I don't want to be happy because Yu is with me, or because the trees are still standing, or– or because of something else, I want to be happy because I want what’s best for me!"
‎ ‎
You narrowed your eyes.
‎ ‎
"I finally care about the woman I see in the mirror, Ying. And winter can take that when I'm six feet under!"
‎ ‎
With her mind overwhelmed, you managed to escape her grasp in the midst of your words. And immediately, you took your chance and moved towards the trees. Ying, in panic, called out for you,
‎ ‎
"Wait, wait I–" she quickly followed, "let me help you, okay? Let me help you."
‎ ‎
Her hand was placed on your shoulder instead. And immediately, this forced you to stop as you looked at her once more.
‎ ‎
"Your determination is admirable, Y/N. And... if you're so adamant about this, then I'd like to support you in the process."
‎ ‎
You stared at her for a few prolonged seconds, attempting to deduce whether or not she was serious. And she was. Ying, the woman who undeniably had more of an incentive to stay alive, desired to help you under the threat of another blizzard.
Once this realisation dawned on you, a weak smile played on your lips.
‎ ‎
"Thank you, Ying."
‎ ‎
She met you with a smile a lot wider and more natural than yours. Then, with a subtle gesture, both of you moved towards the trees and aimed to pluck the last few remaining lemons and make sure you used them to their absolute fullest potential.
‎ ‎
‎ ‎
Six trees were planted, and you only managed to harvest about thirteen Meyer lemons. Which was embarrassing, since you would've usually come back with no less than six baskets stuffed with the golden fruit if it weren't for the blizzard. The urge to call it a pitiful harvest and toss it all perked up, but doing that would be giving in and crawling back to the prison of misery you tried too hard to escape from. You were so close. You couldn’t give up now.
The doors were slammed shut behind the two of you, and you quickly set down the mostly-empty basket. But before you could recount them, the gloves you wore were forcefully snatched away from you, and Ying immediately took your hands in hers.
‎ ‎
"Look at how blue your fingers are! Any longer, and you could have these amputated."
‎ ‎
Her soft fingers intertwined with yours. And somehow, the longer she kept this embrace still, the weaker the blue tint would be. Warmth shortly began enveloping your hands.
‎ ‎
"Ying, is there any reason for this?"
‎ ‎
"For what?"
‎ ‎
You used your eyes to point at what she was doing. And as per usual, it took her a moment to realise what you meant, a titter escaping her once she finally caught on.
‎ ‎
"Oh, the– uhh, the warmth from my hands, it– it helps, that is all."
‎ ‎
You stared at her with a raised eyebrow, accompanied by an unamused expression. That's one magically warm hand, you mulled whilst the blood returned to your fingers. But you were too exhausted to actually make that comment. And instead, you opted to wait for her until she was done holding you.
It only took a few extra seconds until Ying allowed you to finally pull your hands away. And once you did, you squeezed your index finger, taking in the sensation of being able to feel your limbs again. Thankfully, the heaviness was gone... both physically and mentally.
‎ ‎
"Thank you, Ying. This should make things easier–"
‎ ‎
The words were lodged in your throat once Ying suddenly forced you into a tight hug.
A sigh escaped her, almost as if the two of you had just escaped a life-threatening situation. Maybe to her, sure, but it didn’t really matter to you.
‎ ‎
"I'm so proud of you, Y/N. You've come so far." She pulled away. "I– I don't condone you risking your life, and please, never, ever do this again, but I commend you on your bravery."
‎ ‎
"Thank you...?"
‎ ‎
"Oh! I almost forgot, are you free this March?"
‎ ‎
You were confused about how to feel about her compliments, but this question, combined with the whiplash, was all it took for you to completely forget about what she said. Besides, how many times has she asked this now?
But, to be fair, she never really received a direct answer from you. From what you remembered, anyway.
‎ ‎
"Yes, I am. What is it with you and March?"
‎ ‎
"That's because we're visiting Yu's grandmother in the spring!"
‎ ‎
"Spring? But the lemons–"
‎ ‎
"We'll bake them into lemon bars! Something with a texture so soft, it’ll be exactly like biting into a sweet cloud! What do you think?"
‎ ‎
She inadvertently held and squeezed both of your hands to emphasise her words. And by God, you couldn't help but smile at her excitement. Even you couldn’t deny how cute it was to see her like this.
You escaped her grasp and held her wrist instead, moving down the dark corridor so you could lead her to the kitchen.
‎ ‎
"I'm sure she'll love it, Ying."
‎ ‎
With a beaming smile, your boss quickly snatched the basket on the way and continued following you. You could tell by the grin on her face that she was daydreaming about the day you'd both finally take the train to Yu's grandma again, to visit her after so long. And, admittedly, you couldn't help but do the same.
March is definitely going to be a fun month when it finally comes around. Besides, Yu’s grandmother always preferred softer foods, didn’t she? If, again, your memory served you correctly.

Winter, two years ago.
‎ ‎
Why don't you just break up with him?
Seriously, what was the point of any of this? The stress of dating a man who shamelessly kept so many secrets from you? Honesty is supposed to be one of the pillars of a relationship, isn't it? And yet, it was nowhere to be seen in this one.
That's what ran through your mind for an entire day.
You've been dating Yu for a while now, and it felt like your relationship had been progressing at an adequate rate. He showed you many details about his life, including his house… but he refused to even disclose who the woman in the picture was. And this time, as opposed to how patient you've been for the past few years you've been dating him, you saw red.
Why didn’t he tell you about her? What did he have to hide? Was there something you just weren’t meant to know?
But... you stayed quiet. You acted like nothing was wrong for the rest of the day. The anger instead built up until it spilt at work the next day, and your co-workers had the pleasure of hearing about the turmoil in your seemingly peaceful relationship for the first time. So they planted a few ideas in your head.
And you believed them. In fact, no, you didn't just believe them, you also began adding on to them once your shift was over.
He didn't tell you who the woman in the picture was; he didn't tell you who his parents were; how he managed to buy a whole house at the age of fifteen (oh, but apparently his grandmother 'helped him'); and he didn't even tell you why he had to be so tight-lipped or why his bloody eyes were purple.
What reason did you have to believe that Yu loved you in the first place? That he wasn't some sort of– actually, no, what if he also had other women on the side? You knew that someone with a figure like that would be able to make any girl swoon over him if only he ditched those massive hoodies.
But it worked. It fooled you, of all people.
These thoughts, unchecked, started growing in your mind until they formed practically a whirlwind, one that only grew at the sight of Yu, who was ready to escort you back home for the day. You were a ticking time bomb at this point, ready to explode at him should he make the mistake of saying one wrong word.
You were still grieving your parents. You had many more things to be worried about than some two-faced snake. So why–
‎ ‎
"Y/N?"
‎ ‎
"What?"
‎ ‎
He was caught off-guard by your aggressive tone.
‎ ‎
"Are you... okay?"
‎ ‎
He couldn't help but notice just how quiet you were during your whole journey back home.
Your gloominess wasn't anything new by any means. But this misplaced wrath definitely was. He could tell that, just by the way you carried yourself, the heaviness in your steps, your furrowed brows, and your clenched fists, something was wrong. Very wrong.
You averted your gaze to the mounds of snow obscuring the road instead.
‎ ‎
"Yes."
‎ ‎
The atmosphere was unbearably still. But, nevertheless, the two of you moved through it for a few more elongated seconds. And, to Yu, it felt like walking through an ocean of honey. Sans the sweetness of the liquid, much to his misfortune.
The only thing that broke the tension was the chirping of a few nearby crickets, the clicks of both of your boots, and the loud thoughts that gnawed at your mind.
His soft voice felt like such a farce. A mask he put on. It explained a lot, too, especially why his expression was usually blank, and his eyes were the only emotive parts of his face. Sure, it somewhat mirrored yours, but at least you were open about how much you loathed living.
He placed one hand on your shoulder, only further angering you.
‎ ‎
"Hey, why can't you tell me what's bothering you?"
‎ ‎
"What then?"
‎ ‎
...
‎ ‎
"What do you mean?"
‎ ‎
"What would you do if I told you?"
‎ ‎
"I'll... uh, I'll do my best to fix it. Whatever it is."
‎ ‎
You sighed and instead stuffed your hands inside your deep pockets. Your fingers brushed up against the earbuds he lent you the night before, the same ones you had completely forgotten about until now.
‎ ‎
"We'll talk at home."
‎ ‎
His heart skipped a few beats at this statement, but you didn’t pay him any mind.
‎ ‎
“I need water. I’m stopping by a store.”
‎ ‎
You said. And Yu was quick to pick up on how you phrased that sentence. Nevertheless, he averted his gaze, pulling up the collar so it could conceal the lower portion of his face.
‎ ‎
“Okay.”
‎ ‎
That was all he said before the two of you fell back into silence.
This neighbourhood was incredibly shady. The buildings themselves were coming apart, and the sidewalk was so disjointed that you were sure an earthquake must’ve occurred that they couldn’t be bothered to fix. Not only that, but the two of you were alone. But at least Yu had a large enough silhouette to scare off anyone.
Whatever. Getting out of here was the one thing you needed to do right after getting your drink.
‎ ‎
‎ ‎
You entered the one store that was open– well, you were lucky you even found a store to begin with. But just as you thought you could feel safe, the bulletproof glass with the bullet lodged in it worried you.
Only two people were here. A young cashier and a customer wearing all black, muttering stuff to him. He glanced at you from the corner of his eye, looked you up and down, then went back to his conversation. Weird, you mused, but you quickly brushed it off and instead marched towards the aisles.
‎ ‎
“I’ll wait for you here.”
‎ ‎
You responded to your boyfriend with a hum before disappearing into the crisps section. Not that it concerned you too much. Besides, the cashier was there.
You suddenly remembered the argument from yesterday as you continued searching. The thought of breaking up with him was just so seductive at this point. Really, what was the difference between him and the men who’d say anything to please you?
You stopped by where the juices were stocked. Only a foot away, and you’d find exactly what you needed. But you instead took out the earbuds in your pockets. Your fingers tightly wrapped around the case, your thumb successfully concealing the logo. Breaking up with him would ruin a ton of things for you. But it wouldn’t be the end of the world.
Okay. That was it. You’d do it.
‘We’re done.’, that’s what you’d tell him when you see him outside the store. You’d give him the earbuds, break it off, and go back home. Nothing personal, but you weren’t a doormat who was going to take this treatment.
A sigh escaped you.
Then, you pocketed the earbuds, grabbed a water bottle, and moved towards the cashier.
‎ ‎
‎ ‎
You emerged from the stocked aisles with your boyfriend’s name at the tip of your tongue. However, you weren’t met with him loitering around the automatic sliding doors like you expected. In fact, the entire area was empty, both inside and outside.
He was… gone.
‎ ‎
“Yu?”
‎ ‎
You audibly called out, but you earned nothing more than your echo in response. Where the heck was he? There’s no way he’d leave you alone in an incredibly dangerous neighbourhood like this.
You quickly moved towards an area that would give you a clear view of each and every aisle. And as you slowly walked across the store to observe every single one, you still couldn’t find him. Actually, you couldn’t find anyone aside from the cashier, who gave you a weird look whilst you paced around.
Maybe he was in the bathroom? No… this store was way too small to have a bathroom. But what if he was outside?
Yes, you’d check there, and call him if you couldn’t find him.
With this plan in mind, you stepped through the doors with your bag tightly clutched in your hand, and stepped towards the sidewalk, careful not to stray too far away from the entrance. You turned your head left and right, but all you were met with were the rows of streetlights that prevented the pitch-black darkness from swallowing you. And… your heart dropped to your chest.
Where was he?! He couldn’t have left. He just couldn’t.
With no time to waste, you took out your phone and rapidly began texting him, moving back through the doors and entering the store once more. It was a struggle to type out any comprehensible words, what with how shaky your hands were.
You texted and texted. But a response was naught. Your eyes widened, and you clutched your phone with unfathomable tightness.
There’s no way Yu would leave you out here alone, right? Even with the animosity between you, this could mean life or death. You could be hurt out here, what on Earth was wrong with him?
It’s okay. It’s fine. It’ll be fine. Maybe he just left for something. Maybe he just took a quick stroll since you took a while to pay? Maybe he’ll be back. He’ll be back. Or maybe your coworkers were right. Maybe he realised you were flirting with the idea of a breakup and decided that this was his act of revenge.
You heaved a sigh.
This was it, huh? Just like that? You should’ve expected him to take the coward’s way out.
Just as you slid your phone back in your pocket and went further inside the store, however, you huffed once you bumped into someone. All relief immediately dissipated the moment you looked up.
It was that scruffy-looking man from earlier, the one who was talking to the cashier. He stood in front of you. Uncomfortably close, and seemingly eager to block you from further entering the store past the sliding doors. You couldn’t help but notice how everything on his body was jet black.
‎ ‎
“Hey.”
‎ ‎
Terror immediately coursed through you as you took a step back. Your phone was promptly shoved back in your bag and swiftly zipped up, however.
Why was he still here? You thought he’d left by the time you went to check-out on account of his sudden disappearance. Apparently not…
‎ ‎
“It’s rude not to say it back to me.”
‎ ‎
“…Hey.”
‎ ‎
His ‘greeting’ was anything but friendly.
And if that wasn’t enough for him, it was impossible not to notice that he also had one hand deep inside the pockets of his hoodie. Crap.
‎ ‎
“I… need to go.”
‎ ‎
You immediately stepped to the side, but he swiftly moved in front of you.
‎ ‎
“You don’t wanna talk to me?”
‎ ‎
“I’m– I’m in a hurry, I need to…”
‎ ‎
“Don’t be like that. All I need is somethin’ quick.”
‎ ‎
You just couldn’t get to the cashier, not when he kept stopping in front of you and blocking your path. What was worse was that his hand kept digging deeper and deeper into his pocket. And for the love of everything holy, you couldn’t find your voice to tell him off. Then, he lifted his chin to look down on you.
‎ ‎
“Your headphones look sick. Let me see them.”
‎ ‎
“Headphones…?”
‎ ‎
Your heart jumped out of your chest once you saw a gun emerge from his pockets, and he took a few steps closer to you, forcing you to back up again. You were unintentionally pushed out of the store and into the empty streets.
‎ ‎
“Don’t play dumb with me, woman! It’s in your pocket!”
‎ ‎
He shouted as he kept rushing towards you.
But your back suddenly pressed up against a large pole, and escape seemed hopeless in a place like this. There was nobody around. Not even cars that sped down the road. And even if you tried to run or scream, you were sure he’d gun you down before you’d get anywhere.
So you immediately lifted your hands in surrender.
‎ ‎
“Okay! I– I’ll give it to you!”
‎ ‎
“Good!”
‎ ‎
He pointed his weapon at you as you struggled to dig your hands into your pockets. But even here, you could tell he scrutinised you as if you were a mannequin dressed in apparel he really wanted to purchase. He snatched the earbuds once you held them out for him, but he used his chin to point at what you didn’t realise was your neck.
‎ ‎
“Hand me that sweet scarf while you’re at it.”
‎ ‎
He promptly pocketed the device.
This demand only further engulfed you in panic. But that’s not where it ended, he very clearly continued observing you for anything else he wanted. You were okay with handing him your belongings; it wasn’t worth losing your life because you were too stubborn to do so. But those earbuds were Yu’s. Not yours. Nevertheless, without second thought, you clutched the scarf on your neck with both hands and fumbled to rip it off.
An arm shot out from behind the robber and promptly wrapped itself around his neck. The grip was then firmly tightened to an impossible degree. His gun dropped with an audible clank as the robber desperately clawed at the figure’s considerably large arms in a vain attempt to free himself. It only took a few seconds for his movements to stop.
Then, he was dropped to the ground, revealing a very familiar figure behind him.
You didn’t get a good look at his unmoving body or said figure, however, not when you were forcefully pulled close and tightly held in the man’s arms. The scent of lemons swiftly invaded your mind. Somehow, it successfully pulled you out of your state of panic, and you leaned into his comforting touch.
‎ ‎
“Did he hurt you? Are you okay?”
‎ ‎
Yu’s voice was such a soft juxtaposition to the harsh silence he cut through. It was as if all the fury you felt towards him melted, all within a picosecond.
‎ ‎
“I’m… I’m fine…“
‎ ‎
He placed one hand on the back of your head and brought you closer to himself.
‎ ‎
“I– I should’ve known they would’ve pulled something like that.”
‎ ‎
“Was he…”
‎ ‎
“I left to throw something; the cashier wasted my time. Stopped me from going back.”
‎ ‎
The petrifying shock seemed to have seeped through the both of you, judging by how quiet and flat his voice sounded. But you were more shocked at what he’d done to the man. You couldn’t even peer through his thick hoodie, which obscured your vision, since he held you so tightly against it.
‎ ‎
“Is he Yu, did you kill him?!”
‎ ‎
“He’s fine.”
‎ ‎
Yu held your wrist.
‎ ‎
“Come on. Let’s go.”
‎ ‎
He walked you a few steps, far enough for you to be unable to look back. Not only that, but he used his size to his advantage to block you from seeing the criminal’s unmoving body as he moved further down the sidewalk.
Then he placed both hands on your shoulders, now able to meet your gaze more clearly. He couldn’t help but notice just how blanched your face was.
‎ ‎
“Did he take anything?”
‎ ‎
“Only your headphones…”
‎ ‎
You muttered, and he nodded in response.
‎ ‎
“Stay here. I’ll be fast.”
‎ ‎
He pushed you out of sight for good measure, before moving back down the path you both marched on. And you immediately hid your face in your hands.
Your voice was beyond shaky, and you could hardly understand what on Earth had just happened as sweat dripped down your chin. You weren’t sure where Yu came from. Was it from inside the store? If so, how could you not have noticed the doors slamming shut? But… Your brain hyper-focused the robber. Especially how he writhed like a bug as Yu mercilessly choked him.
Being so caught up in your thoughts, you hadn’t even realised your boyfriend had returned with the earbuds until he placed one hand on your shoulder.
You hesitantly looked up. But this time, Yu could see something awry in your expression. Concern. Directed at him.
‎ ‎
“Did you… kill him?”
‎ ‎
“I only knocked him out.”
‎ ‎
“But how? How did you know how to…”
‎ ‎
“I… I didn’t. I acted on instinct.”
‎ ‎
“Are you kidding? You knew what you were doing back there! Are you trained in self-defence?!”
‎ ‎
Yu... wasn't sure how to respond to this.
‎ ‎
“It’s just the adrenaline, I–”
‎ ‎
“I can’t believe it. You could’ve run away; you could’ve saved yourself. Yet you…”
‎ ‎
“Run away? What– why would I leave you?”
‎ ‎
“I don’t know, it… I assumed you’d pull something like that…”
‎ ‎
“Why would you think that about me?!”
‎ ‎
You paused for a second.
‎ ‎
“I– I don’t know.”
‎ ‎
“Y/N, please, tell me, did I hurt you? Did I make you upset? I– why would you think that I’d leave you in a place like this?!” Yu shook his head. “Something’s been bothering you since yesterday, right? Please, just tell me what it is; I’ll fix it. Whatever it is, I'll do everything I can to make it right, I–”
‎ ‎
As he spoke, you zoned out and instead observed him. The worry etched on his typically vacant features and that glimmer in his eyes that screamed shock as he tried to grapple with the very concept of upsetting you. He was terrified at the prospect of losing you. Very obviously terrified.
Your thought process was interrupted when he cupped your cheeks in his hands. He held onto you as if you could disappear any second, like some kind of fleeting spirit.
‎ ‎
“I could’ve lost you, Y/N. Something could’ve happened to you…”
‎ ‎
You blankly stared at him for what felt like a few minutes. His words went in one ear and out the other, and all you could focus on was what Yu did to the robber. He choked him. Knocked him out in seconds. This man, the very man who seemed troubled at the sight of the mauled corpse of a pigeon a few years back. You remembered that moment too. You were walking home, and he… saw it. On the side of the road.
You didn’t bother fighting the smile that played on your lips. Then, this smile morphed into a grin, and the grin morphed into misplaced giggling. You began laughing. Loudly.
Yu blinked.
‎ ‎
“I thought you left,” you said in between gasps of air, “I thought you deserted me. I thought you wouldn’t come back! Can you believe it?”
‎ ‎
He watched you wipe away a tear as you continued,
‎ ‎
“But you knocked him out. He had a gun, Yu. Did you know that? He could’ve killed you. You could’ve died because of me!”
‎ ‎
“Why–”
‎ ‎
Yu flinched once you clutched his wrists and forced them away from yourself.
‎ ‎
“Because of those secrets. I thought you had other women on the side. And you know what? I knew you were gone the moment he pulled that gun on me.”
‎ ‎
His eyes widened.
‎ ‎
“I was wrong. I was so wrong. You care about me, don’t you?”
‎ ‎
“Of course I care… What kind of question is that?”
‎ ‎
That answer was just as instinctual as his actions back in that alley. And it wasn’t hard to tell that he spoke without thought, his dull tone screamed his intentions behind those words. And you were delighted to hear this.
Yu flinched when you pulled him into a hug, your head buried in his chest.
‎ ‎
“Then I’d be the stupidest woman on Earth if I left.”
‎ ‎
For a few seconds, he stared unresponsively at the brick wall in front of him.
‎ ‎
“Oh– I…”
‎ ‎
He looked down.
Although he needed a few seconds to realise it, Yu finally rested his hands on your back and gently returned the hug. It would take him longer than a few minutes to comprehend most of what you just said. Heck, it took a moment for Yu to even realise you had forgiven him, let alone the fact you pulled him into an embrace. And it felt… like the knot in his stomach had disappeared.
Once he had finally stopped mulling over your random laughter, Yu couldn’t stop himself from smiling like an idiot, a tinge of red painting his previously pale cheeks.
‎ ‎
“Thank you.”
‎ ‎
He muttered.
Yu cared. He truly cared about you, you thought to yourself. Maybe those secrets were kept for a reason. Maybe… Maybe his hands really were tied. But you could wait until he was ready to share them with you, right?
Yeah, you definitely could.

Action! | Pablo Gavi X Reader
Tumblr media Tumblr media
summary: where gavi decided to create a twitch account to stream on his free time.
warnings: none, pure fluff and cute stuff with a cutie patootie streamer!gavi ^^
author note: this is my very first time writing in english and it's not my first language sooooo... sorry for any mistake! (also didn't proofread). it came shorter than expected, enjoy the story!
since the season has ended, gavi started to do live streams on twitch, sometimes playing games or just chilling and chatting with the fans. it was 2 weeks since he started doing this, you were at the kitchen making some sandwiches for him, once it was done you headed to his "new studio" (an empty room with no use before), just at that moment realizing that he was, actually, doing live.
he noticed you in the room few moments after with a little smile, taking off his headphones and looking at you. "I'm sorry, I didn't know you were already recording, I came to give you a snack..." being said in a whisper.
"hey, that's okay amor, wanna come and say hi? seguro que les gustará " he said while giving his hand, as a small gesture of courage, which was gladly accepted. you sat down as he placed another chair there, moving closer to the camera as he took the plate and put on the table, starting to introduce you to the audience. "as you all may know, this is mi nena, y/n. she doesn't appear on the streams because of her schedule and shyness, but now she's on vacation! and i will make her play with us" he said with a lot of excitement, placing your hand in his lap, fingers intertwined.
"hello! its good to be here with you all." pablo smiled even more, continuing with the stream while eating and talking. "esto es muy bueno! thank you, bebé" he left a kiss on your cheek, making the chat go crazy.
after talking about the vacation, his training seasons and some video games, like valorant, you decided that it was time to leave, but before you could get up, he held your wrist, stopping you to go. "where are you going amor?" "im going to the living room, this chair is a little uncomfortable and..." he took the chair away before you could finish the sentence and pulled you gently by the arm.
"c'mere, you can seat in my lap until I'm done, vale?" you blushed slightly remembering the camera in front of us, but i complied with his request, sitting on his lap and resting my head on his shoulder. he placed a kiss on the top of your head and started stroking your hair. "what are we going to do now?" "hmm, let's go with the valorant topic again as the game starts" you nodded and started discussing about the gameplay and which agent was better, coming to a consensus on Sage, while choosing who to use.
hours passed away fast, and he finished the stream, saying goodbye to the viewers and turning the computer off, when everything was done, he looked at you and went back to stroking my hair, now resting his head on your shoulder. "thank you for participating in the stream" he said while smiling. "i would do everything for you"
"i love you" "i love you too, mi chico"
