PROMPTS FOR PRE ESTABLISHED CONNECTIONS AND CREATING HISTORY BETWEEN CHARACTERS * assorted dialogue for giving your characters a history and giving them past things or events to talk about, adjust as necessary
do you remember what i told you last time?
have you been doing well since i saw you?
that's not what you told me back then.
when was the last time i saw you?
you were shorter then.
i'm picking the restaurant this time.
we've known each other since we were children.
always knew i could count on you.
that time was different. this is worse.
you're not going to let me live that down, are you?
i seem to remember a conversation we had back then.
so you changed your mind about it?
do you remember our encounter in paris?
you should know me by now.
am i the only one that knows the truth?
we had a lot of help back then.
your mom told me to look out for you.
you just love bringing that back up to annoy me.
maybe don't mention my past indescretions?
this was never going to work out between us.
i told you not to get attached.
i know more about you than you think.
i was there, remember?
i'm not about to forget all the shit you put me through.
you told me you were going to try and make this work.
remember what i said to you?
the last time i saw you, things were good between us.
you never mentioned this before.
that was the longest flight of my life, and you made it worse.
can i still trust you after all that?
at least we tried to make something work.
we never discussed what happened between us.
okay, but i'm driving the car this time.
i haven't forgotten what you said last week.
i'm still thinking about your comment.
i didn't realize it was you when i first saw you.
you seem to make a lot of enemies around here.
there's not much for us to talk about.
we worked it out last time.
i know you far better than you know yourself.
we have a long history.
is that the shirt you were wearing last time?
what don't i know about you?
i haven't told them about us.
you were the only person i could go to.
you know me.
this is bigger than both of us.
i can't stand your driving.
are you taking me to the place we had dinner last time?
that's not at all what you said.
didn't we agree on that?
i thought i made it very clear where i stand.
are these the same people that came after you last time?
are you still going on about it?
can we talk about it?
staying silent about it won't help.
you're the only person who knows the real me.
this is a bad time to talk about your problems.

“Virginia? Now that’s a trip,” Cooper said, looking between the two of them. As much as he wanted to chat in-depth with the woman in front of him, he didn’t want to exclude her brother.
The actor looked down at their hands, finally releasing hers from his own with a small embarrassed laugh. He hadn’t even realized he was still holding her hand in his, he was so preoccupied with the conversation. Though he didn’t mind, and she didn’t seem to either considering she hadn’t pulled back herself.
“Ah, yes - I’m presenting some of the awards at the end of the day,” he said, purposefully looking at Diesel. “Looks like we’ll be meeting on the stage later.”
He turned his attention back to Lisa. His exile from Hollywood was fresh yet he felt compelled to navigate her question with tact despite how raw he still felt about it. “I’ve become a local, actually. Got myself a nice slice of land not too far from here, a sort of… retirement gift to myself.”
It seemed she was taking all the attention away from Diesel, who had busted his ass to win the competition, but he'd been used to that since the day she was born. Lisa only spared a momentary thought his way as she found herself completely wrapped up in the conversation at hand.
"Well, I don't know about them, but I'm happy to see that you're the real deal," Lisa admitted, smile returned. She couldn't help but notice just how big his smile was, how it brightened his already bright eyes. "And you're talking about people coming from all over. You're from California and we've come all the way up here from Virginia."
She'd yet to release his hand, finding a want to remain right there captured in his gaze. It was as if there was something instant between them that had started when he rode by on his horse and he'd thrown that wink at her and she the quick blown kiss. Diesel remained there, holding her nachos.
"Are you staying for the rest of the show? The bronc riding is about to start," Lisa asked, hoping that he would still be sticking around. "Or do you have to get back to California tonight?"

She was probably baiting him, but at this point Matt found he didn't care. He was slowly veering into that fuzzy mindset where everything else fell away except his singular attention on her body and her reactions to him. He watched as she pushed her dress the rest of the way off her hips, groaning softly in response at the display before him in the mirror. One hand drifted down to graze at the outer edge of her thigh.
"Yes ma'am," he replied to her command before he leaned in and stole that kiss she'd been so tantalizingly dangling in front of him. He'd kissed her before, but not since she'd woken up from her hangover and realized that she was trapped. Somehow this one felt more dangerous for them both, the act of meeting in the middle blurring the lines more and more between them.
He broke the kiss, lingering in her space a beat before forcing himself back a step to compose himself. He couldn't help but let his hand come up to trace itself down her bare back as he met her gaze in the mirror once again, smile touching his lips.
"I'll be back." He hesitated by the door briefly before turning and leaving her alone.
Closed eyes strained at the demand that she could not lock the door. Lynnie had been desperate for some sort of privacy, but it seemed as if she would not be allowed it just yet. She'd play the game. Lynnie could feel his growing desire pushing up against her ass.
Slowly, she opened her eyes once more. Head canted to the side, nose brushed against his as he pressed that warm kiss against her shoulder. Lips parted, daring him to steal a kiss. She was playing the part. This was what he had been desperate to have from her. She'd easily give those little touches over, to keep him happy and wanting more. Maybe if she kept him happy with those little affections perhaps he'd ease up on the restrictions...
"I won't get it wet," she assured him, her words lowly offered up. Hands slipped over her hips and slowly pushed her skirts further down, allowing them to fall in a heap at her feet. There she was, standing before the mirror in nothing but her cotton panties.
"Get the decorations down first," she ordered, venturing to see just how well he wanted to obey. "I can wait on the wine. I want to soak my old bones a little before shaving."

Matt’s gaze followed hers to the mirror, watching as she bared herself to him. His hands itched to wrap around her waist and trace up over her chest, he wanted to watch himself make her shiver and unravel right before his very eyes. There was no use in hiding it - no doubt she could feel the beginnings of that very want beginning to press against her backside as closely as they stood to one another.
“On one condition,” he said, eyes darkening as he wrapped gentle fingers around her biceps, holding her in place against him. “Don’t lock the door.”
He shifted to press another kiss to her cheek, then, against his better judgement, one to the junction between her neck and shoulder. “And don’t get your bandage wet. You do want to heal, don’t you?”
A glance was spared to the bathroom mirror. If this were any other circumstance, it would be a romantic gesture between lovers, but there was anything but that. Eyes closed and a breath was taken. Heart beat pounded at the tickling sensation of his fingers grazing across her skin. No doubt her body betrayed her as skin pebbled from the sensation.
Eyes remained closed as he stepped in closer. His body was hot against her own. She could feel his shirt pressing against her bare skin. Another breath was taken to control herself. She wanted to shove him back, but she knew that would only worsen her situation. Instead, she forced a smile to play into this little fantasy of House with him. Slowly, she slipped an arm behind her. Fingers worked diligently to unhook the clasps on her bra.
Without care for modesty, Lynnie slipped the top of her dress over her shoulders and allowed it to fall at her hip, bra followed behind it in kind.
"No," she told him, not seeming to mind her own partial nudity or the fact that she knew he may stare. "I'm just going to take a quick bath and shave my legs. I may be a little while." A pause. She'd thought about locking the door once he had left, but there was still something that she wanted. "Could you bring me a glass of wine? You could leave the bottle so I won't have to constantly call for you to pour me a glass..."

“Wise woman,” Cooper replied to her statement about traveling after dark. Her intelligence seemed to be up there with her luck. “If the dark doesn’t get ya, what lurks in it will.”
He tried and failed to bite back his laughter at her regaling him about the creepy crawlies of the wasteland. She did have a point, of course. The ghoul had gotten used to most things the world could throw at him these days, but the giant roaches was one of those things that just seemed a step too fucking far.
“You know they used to joke that the only thing that could survive a nuclear war was those damned bugs?” Cooper asked, stepping forward off the porch of the shop, looking back at her expectantly to take the lead from here. “Every time I gotta squish one, I wish to hell those people had been wrong.”
"No. I don't like traveling in the dark," Lisa was quick to admit. "I had a run in with those big ass bugs and never again."
A chill went through her and she visibly shivered at the memory of feeling those nasty legs crawling over her body as she slept. She could almost feel those pointy legs in her hair, on her shoulder.
Then there was the fact that there were dirty, horny men out in the dark that she would prefer to stay away from. These things were things that she hadn't had to deal with in the vaults. It had been a learning curve. Lisa was still a novice, but she'd survived this long on her own.
Nervous smile was thrown his way at his insinuation of what this meant. Gaze looked downward in a strange sort of shyness. She'd always been able to belt it out and she had to a certain point with Cooper, but there was something about him that brought about this uncharacteristic bashfulness.
"We'll get there before dark," she told him, new confidence in her voice as she stepped out into the dirty street. "I can't let you see me squeal over a big bug. It's not a good look out here. I've made it out here for a year and I'm still not okay with the bugs. My first encounter with them was enough to put me off being out alone at night for the foreseeable future."

Cooper flashed her a mega-watt smile that could rival anyone’s in Hollywood as he took her hand in his, shaking gently in greeting.
“No ma’am,” he replied to her worry about Diesel. “And I’m very pleased to meet you… Lisa.” He looked over to the blonde’s brother with a nod in thanks at his interjection before returning his attention back to her. Seeing the two of them side by side, the family resemblance was a bit uncanny. He was actually surprised he hadn’t noticed it sooner with how much he’d been looking her direction this afternoon.
“I’m glad you enjoyed it. It’s been some time since I’ve had the pleasure of performing some old tricks in front of a big crowd. Sounds like people came from all over.” Cooper smirked, leaning in toward Lisa slightly, his voice tinged with a joking tone. “You think they’re all fans or just here to see if I’m the real deal?”
Diesel called Lisa's name as soon as she'd sauntered up to the counter. Nachos and beer was ordered before she made her way over. Smile visibly brightened at the sight of just who Diesel was calling her over to meet.
Without thought, the nachos were handed off to Diesel as she reached her hand out to introduce herself. A faint blush painted her cheek. A sparkle of excitement overtook the vibrant blues of her eyes.
"I hope my brother hasn't talked your ear off," Lisa said, throwing a smile at her big brother. She was silently sending him words of gratitude for making sure that she was able to meet the cowboy that had once been plastered to her teenage bedroom walls.
"And this is my baby sister," Diesel interjected, "Lisa."
Smaller hand wrapped about Cooper's hand. Fingers curled about the warmth of his hand and there was something nice about it. He had the hands of a real man. They weren't the soft silk of a man that didn't know a thing about a long day's work. Maybe he was the real deal and not just some Hollywood leading man that was all hat and no cattle.
"I liked your show today."
