I’ve been so busy that I haven’t had a chance to really share what I’ve been doing at my new job at NASA. So I decided to post a few from, what I think has been the most fantastic experience yet. NASA’s Orion spacecraft–the crew module and European-built service module—being cleaned and moved into a thermal cage and readied for its move into the vacuum chamber at NASA’s Plum Brook Station for testing. So if you’re wondering how to take the bubbles out of any of your casting mixtures, wonder no more! I use these guys and it’s essentially a small motorized pump that will suck the air out of the seal right chamber creating a vaccumed space that will bring any air bubbles within your mixtures to the top to pop! Quick pro tip always remember to close both valves after taking the air out so it doesn’t create suction in the pump itself.
