Okay, first of: I love your art style!💖

I came here because of your One Timeline AU a while ago and have just scrolled through your whole block again, admiring your character designs. Normaly I don't really engage much because ✨️crippling social anxiety✨️ but I've stared at your art so often by now, I thought I should tell you before it gets weird. (To late, I know.) Especially since you've blessed us with a new adorable interaction between these idiots recently.🥰

Also: I know he is not really a character in the comic and the one sketch you did of him is one and a half years old by now, but I absolutely 💕adore💕 your Vaati design. He's my favourite villain by far and just one of my favorite characters in general. I love Minish Cap and I've had the headcanon that his hylian form would have some minish traits for ages but never saw anyone draw that. (I can't draw for the life of me.😅) So yeah, my compliment on the design and thank you for accidentally making art of the picture in my head, I guess.😅

Thank you for fueling my Vaati brainrot he is also one of my favourite characters. Loved him in the Minish cap manga which is one of my favourite LOZ manga and I also very recently actually played through minish cap proper on switch online (bar the last fight lmao) { it is a really fun game what crack did Nintendo sneak into their GBA rpg's seriously the Mario and Luigi series spawned from that era too}

I should post more of my rough doodle sheets and sketches cuz I have drawn Vaati since that year and a half ago (Jesus) but most of them are related to a timeline beat I'm still workshopping Xp

I haven’t decided a lot about his design... especially if his hair gets dark when he’s evil or not. so here’s two versions of him one with light hair and one with dark (it’d be some shade of purple)

I call myself a massive Zelda fan but I got self conscious that I was actually lying to everyone and myself. So I decided to think of Zelda questions to quiz myself. (Name 5 other bosses besides Ganondorf, name 3 other locations besides Hyrule etc) I have not gotten any wrong so far.

No one has accused me of this. I just naturally started doing it to myself in my head.

Idk if anyone has asked this yet but do you think we could get a third game in this Hyrule. Like do you think they have left enough for another one story wise?

I think they do. Their biggest hurdle is going to be making Hyrule fresh and exciting the way the Upheaval did, and they can't pull the same thing twice—we've got verticality and new caves, what can they add?

They could make settlements in the Depths that are fun, and have the timeskip be later so that more towns are able to pop up. Maybe a new Skyloft from people who wanted to take the sky isles and their out-of-reach-of-monster-ness.

In terms of conflict, though, we've got plenty of beats they could reuse. I think the best potential they have, though, is a Four Swords multiplayer-style game.

Vaati hasn't been used for awhile, and the Triforce in the Wild era is still missing in action. There's also a Spirit Realm aspect that could be used to try to find the Triforce. But more importantly, Link drawing the Four Sword would mean that people could play together and do all kinds of whacky things to each other with the physics engine; imagine if you could ultrahand stuff around your friend, and how much chaos that could make.

On the singleplayer front, Nintendo's already testing out a follower system with 4+ companions. The AI for the Sages in TotK isn't great, but it's intuitive enough that they teleport after you if you ever lose them and get out of your way when you're lining up a shot or a camera, which is more than I can say for Skyrim. If they continue improving on that, I think a 4 Swords sequel is a fantastic way to show it off.

I do hope that it's on something more powerful than the Switch, and with better connectivity than Nintendo Online, though. I personally wouldn't have problems in my gameplay if it wasn't, since my roommate can sit right next to me, but a bunch of streamers I watch would ABSOLUTELY want to play together and Nintendo Online sucks.

If they decide to make the Wild Era a trilogy, I hope multiplayer is what they go with.

they had been talking about something, ultimately, unimportant. as they often did, honestly. after centuries upon centuries of being sealed away, a chunk spent in the silent ether of half - awareness, vaati often talked just to hear the sound of their own voice, because their throat often ached to be used — unfortunately for those around them, however, there were no small words in their mouth. and, never did they rid of the hobby of being a thorn in someone else's side. poor lyric.

not that lyric was one to truly put up with it. unfortunately for them, that made it more fun for vaati. there was something fun about the way they jammed their fingers into their mouth, despite the sharpness of canines and the almost instinct urge to bite the intruder, and took hold of their tongue.

edges of their lips twitched, clearly wanting to grin.

"aaah — ki-uh ki-kh-ee," they attempted to tease, even sticking their tongue out farther, "yo' a lil shalty dough."

surely their words would only agitate lyric more — but that was all part of their little game; it was genuinely the nicest vaati could be to another person.

Uhhhh lemme see—

His height is due to using minish magic so extensively during his first adventure; he might grow a little bit more, but he’ll never be tall.

He’s a distant ancestor to both Time and Wind, but none of them are aware of it. He and Wind figure out their connection at some point because of their similar shields though

Shadow is a sore subject for him, he’s still not sure what happened and he’s got a lot of complicated feelings towards him (kidnapped Zelda, helped us out, became friends sort of, but also did a lot of bad stuff... confusing.)

It’s my staunch belief that he’s 16 (mostly because it’s funny math-wise)

He sort of takes extra enjoyment in fighting and beating keese, it’s a side effect of fighting the same bat guy three times in a row

👊🏽 — Favorite Zelda Villain/Boss?

i feel like it's obvious but my fav villain of all time is ganon(dorf) and am super partial to the spirit tracks bosses, but if i had to rank them and only pick five (excluding ganondorf), it'd be:

goht from majora's mask, twinrova (separate and together) in ocarina of time and majora's mask, the demon train from spirit tracks, queen gibdo from tears of the kingdom, and cole from spirit tracks

i haven't played minish cap and know nothing about him, but i love vaati

🙊 — Unpopular Zelda Opinions?

i don't think i have any unpopular opinions other than spirit tracks really does deserve more attention because it really flips the franchise's gameplay and lore on its head.

not only does it show us a more technologically advanced hyrule (ignoring tears), but it gives us so many concepts like the world follow wind waker, different races and relationships like anouki or alfonzo.

it's also super cute with their moments! like when zelda gets scared about a rat even though she's a ghost (that even translates when she's in the phantom armor), or any time lokomo is on screen, or the bond that you can see between alfonzo and link that speaks more of a father and his son/two brothers rather than a train conductor and the kid he mentors.

then again i haven't touched the game in several years and refuse to until i either find or get another copy, so maybe don't listen to me lmao

also, the usual hyrule warriors deserves to have its own, actual zelda-like game as opposed go what it is

(and that, as good as they were, the aoc/botw/totk trilogy really don't need anything else to happen. i love them as much as the next person, but it's been five years and i'm ready for a new era)

link, unsurprisingly 😭 i've always been more partial to warriors, time/mask, and spirit (in that order) since i've been playing their games since i was really young, but i've recently come around to sky and twilight

for all the shit i give her, i really do love zelda. i'm just really in love with the mean lesbian and toxic yuri genre and she just fit that character for me

malon, cremia, and their variants because i very much am weak to strong women

back when i was young and botw dropped i was literally dating riju. the delusions were strong with me (they still are, but she's like my daughter now or smth)

Sorry, but I'm confused about something.

The Chain fights Vaati in the RGBV world (pudgy bat) and then fights Vaati in the Four's world (flappy bat).

However, when introducing the villains, there is only one Bat Vaati in Demise's head? There is Picori Vaati and Demon Vaati, but the Chain has fought Demon Vaati twice now.

Did you forget one of them while writing the Demise scenes?

Age: 20-24 [Young adult]

Now living peacefully with Zelda on the surface, he has found a quiet joy in life.

His days are spent helping Zelda, playing music, or woodcarving

Although the Master Sword is no longer in his possession, he often visits Fi’s resting place, even though he never receives an answer.

Adventures: Minish Cap

Age: 11-12 [Kid]

After sealing Vaati, he no longer wields the Four Sword

Don’t let his youth or small stature fool you—underestimating him would be a mistake.

Kind-hearted, honest, and sweet, he never hesitates to lend a helping hand to those in need.

He is the youngest (and shortest)

Adventures: Ocarina of time & Majora's Mask

Age: 20-22 [Young adult]

After saving Hyrule and Termina, he now lives as a traveler, and helps out at Lon Lon Ranch.

Despite everything he has faced, he has never given up on his search for Navi.

He is considering joining the Royal Guard,

He doesn’t fully understand it yet, but he has a small crush on Malon, his childhood friend.

Adventures: Wind Waker & Phantom of hourglass

Age: 13-14 [Teen]

He spends much of his time exploring new places with Tetra and always returns with gifts for his little sister.

The most expressive and talkative of them all.

He enjoys joining in whenever the others play music.

Adventures: Spirit Tracks

Age: 13-14 [Teen]

He is physically very similar to the Hero of Winds.

As soon as New Hyrule was safe, he was finally able to continue with his passion: trains.

• He tends to be very forgetful and a bit distracted. His constant fatigue from his job doesn’t help, but despite that, he genuinely enjoys it.

Adventures: Twilight Princess

Aliases: Blue-Eyed Beast, Hero of Twilight Age: 19-22 [Young adult]

He misses Midna deeply, more than anything else.

After his adventures, he returned to Ordon, where his heart belongs, taking care of animals and watching over his friends.

He carries a sword at all times—just in case.

Adventures: Four swords/adventures (Merged)

Age: 12 - 13 [Teen]

He’s the one who most recently finished his adventure; he was on his way to return the Four Sword to its pedestal but ended up with the others before he could do so.

The son of a knight, he was a soldier-in-training before setting out on his quest to defeat Vaati.

The Four Sword has had some mysterious side effects on him...

Adventures: A link to the past, Oracle of seasons and ages & Link's awakening

Age: 17-19 [Teen]

He’s often seen wearing a flower—not because he’s particularly fond of them, but because they remind him of Marin.

After his journey to Koholint Island, he finally took a break from seeking adventures; he needed time to process everything he had been through.

He spends his days tending to his collection of artifacts.

Adventures: Link between worlds, & Tri force Heroes

Age: [Teen]

He shares Wild’s love for clothing and owns a dozen (ridiculous) outfits for every occasion.

He keeps the bracelet Ravio gave him as a precious possession; in the end, he learned to appreciate the cowardly, greedy rabbit.

He’s lively and has a peculiar sense of humor. Out of everyone, he’s the one who’s adapted best to teamwork.

Adventures: Zelda I & Zelda II

Age: 16-18 [Teen]

He struggles to let his guard down and relax, a result of living in a hostile Hyrule and constantly facing threats to his life.

He usually prefers to rely on magic and spells but won’t hesitate to prove he is a formidable swordsman.

It’s not something he’ll say out loud, but for him, turning into a fairy is probably the most fun thing to do.

Adventures: Hyrule Warriors

Age: 20-23 [Young Adult]

Out of the entire group, he’s probably the one who best understands the situation they’re going through—it feels oddly familiar to him.

He once let reckless overconfidence and ego almost kill him once, so he’s determined not to let that happen again. He might come off as arrogant at first, but it’s nothing more than a joke; in serious moments, he’s sensible and deeply cares for everyone.

He currently dedicates his life to his military career.

Adventures: Breath of the wild & Tears of the kingdom

Aliases: Hylian Champion, Champion of Hyrule, Hero. Age: 20-23 [Young adult]

By the age of four, he was already a prodigious swordsman, capable of besting fully trained knights.

He silently loved Mipha, seeing in her a kind soul who loved him for who he was as a person, not for the hero he was destined to be. Sadly, they never had the chance to confess their feelings to each other.

He became far more talkative and expressive after his awakening. Though he still carries the guilt of his fallen friends and kingdom, he no longer feels the crushing weight of the world’s expectations pressing down on him.
