Of course Marnie was miserable. She finally opened herself to the possibility of dating again since her father had been hauled off to jail and the man just kept...talking. Of course she was playing at polite, nodding her head but then she just kind of checked out. Sipping her drink and looking back behind the bar from time to time. The suddenness of the deep accented voice had her jump a bit, looking to Wal. Big, enough to hesitate her date that was for sure. Her mouth opened about to say he was mistaken, until it clicked. Usually she was slow on the uptake, but she was desperate for a way out of the one way conversation she had been stuck in.

Can we go back to this for a sec? To Aziraphale having to explain the concept of being in love to the other angels? Because I cannot imagine what a trip it has to be, falling in love with someone when that is literally not something you are supposed to be able to do. When it is something you barely understand. When the object of whatever this is isn't supposed to be able to feel this way either, except as time goes on you start to realize it's happening to him too. And neither of you can actually talk to each other about it.

slice of life/college scenario where J, V and N are decommissioned marines that were severely traumatized/disabled overseas. Uzi is an engineering undergrad who works at the hospital they’re put into inpatient care at for volunteer hours. Cyn is an active duty UAV pilot (title since changed to captain) and doll/lizzy are uzi’s classmates. Not super fleshed out but its comin along. (yes tessa is alive, she is a surgeon who flies across the world to take care of her friends, especially J because surely that is the most normal and straight thing a woman can do for another woman)

wildmother designs - i like the idea of abstract gods but also wanted to draw her anyway, imagine her like a big lumbering soft rainforest hill. also, my own headcanon is she has a pretty featureless face often, just like gentle and sleepy, but directly communicating with a worshipper her face mirrors a mother to them. doesnt have to literally be their mother, but a mother. so the first drawing is a firbolg faced wildmother for the clays

I love that it’s Miranda who orchestrates Alfred Hamilton’s death. Partly because there’s something just so devastating to me about how lonely and constrained and helpless so much of her life on Nassau is - and thus something so grimly satisfying about her getting to exercise that kind of violent agency, even in flashbacks and exposition.

And also, because there’s a level on which it’s a little fucked up. Not that she wants that kind of revenge, not even that she gets it - but that she weaponizes Flint’s rage and grief and guilt, Flint himself, to do it. That she knows him and loves him and shares a terrible trauma with him, and that’s precisely what allows her to aim him like a homing missile at her husband’s (for all intents and purposes) murderer and pull the trigger. Fully sympathetic and understandable and I don’t think Flint was complaining one iota, but - still. There’s something magnificently brutal about it and I kind of love that for her.
