A/N: So I was writing an Evanstan AU and then I got one of those pesky ideas and I wrote a different Evanstan fic in an afternoon. I don’t why my brain does what it does sometimes 🤷🏻‍♀️ Anyway, this is just something super self-indulgent and fun because I just LOVE to think of all the different ways in which Chris and Seb could’ve have gotten together (or could get together in the future), and also I love meddling friends and a tad of voyeurism. Twenty-two months.

It's been twenty-two months since Chris met Sebastian, and Sebastian met Chris, and the two of them fell arse over teakettle for each other. Since then, these absolute fools have been driving Hayley up the wall with their mooning, constantly making goo-goo eyes, laughing too loudly at each other’s jokes, desperately dating one pretty girl after another, only for things to fizzle out again and again because, obviously, their hearts aren’t in it. Their hearts, very clearly, belong to each other. Everyone with eyes can see that.

Well. Everyone with eyes, except for Chris and Sebastian themselves, it seems.

Tonight’s no different. The club where the wrap party for Captain America: The Winter Soldier is held is thrumming with life: people everywhere, some casually dressed, some in outfits that make Hayley, who’s not opposed to showing a bit of cleavage herself and who certainly isn’t religious, feel the urge to run to the nearest church to find a confessional booth. Lights are strobing, music is booming, liquor is flowing. Normally, Hayley would be dancing on a table at this point, or trying to get Sam Jackson to do an impromptu striptease, or doing belly shots off Hemsworth’s quite frankly spectacular abs.

Tonight, though, she’s on a mission. A mission seemingly impossible, but when Hayley sets her mind to something, she won’t rest until she succeeds. For a long time, she figured that Chris and Sebastian would simply sort themselves out at some point. No two people flirt that obviously and constantly with each other without it ever turning into either an awkward one night stand or a marriage. But clearly, neither of these things has occurred yet, or else these two pillocks would’ve stopped making such pathetic heart eyes at each other by now. It’s getting a little ridiculous.

Something needs to be done, and it seems Hayley is the one who needs to do it. Well, ultimately, it’s Chris and Sebastian who need to do it – do it lots and lots of times, preferably – but she’s accepted that she’s going to have to help them get there.

Right now, Chris – beer in hand – is telling Anthony some story that involves wildly waving his hands around and almost sloshing his beer all over himself, while Sebastian looks at him like he’s the greatest thing since sliced bread, laughing so hard he needs to hold on to Anthony for support. Truly, he couldn’t look any more smitten if he tried. Meanwhile, Anthony is looking between Chris and Sebastian with an expression of amused exasperation. Hayley feels for him. She’s been in his position plenty of times herself.

Right, then. To the rescue. Downing what’s left of her glass of red, Hayley puts the empty glass down on the nearest table and starts making her way through the throng towards where the guys are stationed.

“Hello, boys,” she greets them, doing a little twirl followed by a tah-dah gesture. “Missed me?”

She’s hailed enthusiastically, hugs all round and another twirl under Anthony’s raised right arm, before everyone starts clinking their drinks together again like inebriated people tend to do.

“Where’s your drink?” Chris shouts, louder than the volume of the music warrants, when he notices she’s not holding a glass for him to clink.

He’s clearly tipsy, if not a little drunk, all expansive gestures and slightly slurred words. Chris is always handsome and wonderful, but Hayley finds that he’s rarely as charming as when he’s had a bit to drink. The alcohol lowers his already low inhibitions further, rendering him even more affectionate and handsy than he usually is. Though he’d never be handsy in a pervy way. Mostly, Chris just wants to be close to people, preferably by enveloping them in a bear hug that will unfailingly last for longer than is strictly appropriate. The man loves to cuddle. That’s why it always pains Hayley to watch him struggle not to throw himself at Sebastian every time he gets a little tipsy. Somehow, despite the beer taking away almost all of his filter and sense of personal boundaries, he always retains a proper distance from Sebastian. At most, he lets their arms brush one too many times, or he reaches out to squeeze Sebastian’s shoulder when he laughs. But it’s not enough. It’s glaringly obvious how desperately Chris wants to be closer. He’s practically gagging for it, and it’s getting to the point where Hayley herself feels parched just from being around that much thirstiness.

Sebastian is only a little better. He’s more skilled at hiding his true emotions, better at pretending he likes Chris a normal amount, especially in professional settings. But more often than not, he does eventually slip up. He’ll giggle like a school boy with a crush at something Chris says, start to blush when Chris praises his acting skills, gaze at him adoringly when Chris is regaling everyone with some bonkers anecdote or other.

Quite frankly, it’s nothing short of a miracle that these boys haven’t figured out how they feel about each other yet, because Hayley’s sure pretty much everyone else has. It’s an open secret, if you will.

In response to his question, Hayley leans up to kiss Chris’s bearded cheek. “I don’t want a drink, I want to dance!”

Grabbing Chris’s free hand, she tugs him along behind her. “Come on, Christopher, show a girl what those hips can do.”

Mackie wolf whistles, taking the beer that Chris hastily hands him as he follows Hayley onto the dance floor.

Chris rises to the challenge as she knew he would. That boy has a competitive streak a mile wide – he reminds her of herself in that regard. It’s one reason why they would never work, even if they seem compatible at first glance. Way too similar.

Almost instantly, Chris’s hands drop to her waist, firmly settling on the curve of her hips while she starts to move them. They don’t go easy – that’s not the point of this, after all. Hayley winds her arms around Chris’s neck and presses herself up against him. Chris is a fantastic mover, even when he’s drunk, and dancing with him certainly isn’t a hardship. Still, Hayley can’t enjoy it the way she normally would, because her mind is elsewhere.

It’s a few meters to her right, in fact, where Sebastian, clad in dark skinny jeans and a white, v-neck shirt that’s almost see-through, is leaning against the wall. Watching them.

Oh god, the poor sod looks miserable already. He’s trying to hide it, of course, smiling through the pain, but the way he starts worrying his lower lip a few minutes in, averting his eyes only for them to dart back to their undulating hips, as if he’s compelled to make himself suffer… It’s clear as can be that Sebastian’s jealous to the point where he would probably quite like to strangle her, even if he also adores her.

Hayley dances with Chris a little while longer, just until the second song turns into the third, and then she figures she’s done enough. She pushes away from Chris, slapping him playfully on the chest.

“Good effort, my love,” she decides, before she cocks her head and adds, “But I think I’d like to dance with Sebastian, now. I’m keen to find out if I can tease out that pretty blush of his, what do you say?”

Chris’s eyes widen a fraction, but she doesn’t wait for a reply, instead turning on her heel and striding back towards Anthony and Sebastian.

“Alright, handsome,” she says, taking Sebastian by the hand. “You’re up.”

Sebastian splutters something about how he doesn’t really dance, but Hayley ignores him, pulling him along behind her. She knows Sebastian’s just sulking, because she’s seen him bust some serious (if not particularly graceful) moves over the years. He dances, alright. Granted, he isn’t as good of a dancer as Chris, but he’s light on his feet and he holds his booze better than Chris does.

Pressing in close immediately, she rests her hands on his biceps as his settle automatically on her waist. For a moment before she starts to move, she looks up at him, forcing him to look her in the eye.

“Hey, cheer up, grumpy cat.” She goes cross eyed. “Dance with me. Let’s show these Yanks how us European kids do it, eh?”

That gets Sebastian smiling again, that lovely, gorgeous smile of his that’s melting hearts all over the planet, if her friends who are more up to date on the latest celebrity gossip are to be believed. Hayley herself isn’t immune to it either, but while Sebastian certainly has his sassy side, deep down, he’s just too sweet for her. She’d bulldozer all over him, and they both know it. They’re much better as friends.

It’s fun, dancing with Sebastian, especially once he starts to really get into it. They make a striking pair, Hayley’s pretty sure. Two winsome brunettes, spinning and grinding on the dance floor, are sure to turn more than a few heads.

And sure enough, when Hayley darts a look over Sebastian’s shoulder towards the wall, Christopher Robert Evans is practically salivating. He’s staring at them so intently he’s nearly crushing his long-forgotten beer bottle between his hands, eyes so dark they almost seem black in the dim lighting. The seams of his too-tight, black t-shirt are straining with how tensely he's holding himself, and what’s more, Hayley is pretty sure things are beginning to stir inside those washed jeans of his.

She giggles, hiding her face in Sebastian’s neck.

“What’s so funny?” Sebastian sounds a bit bemused.

“Oh, just… men are stupid.”

“Hey,” he says, but there’s no heat behind it.

Hayley pulls back enough to look at him, placatingly patting his cheek. “It’s alright, love, at least you’re pretty.”

Predictably, Sebastian rolls his eyes in a poor attempt to hide the way the comment makes him blush. Good lord, the man has the biggest praise kink she’s ever seen in her life. Yet another reason why he and Chris are perfect for each other; Hayley’s pretty sure Chris would never shut up given the chance to praise Sebastian freely. Already, Chris can’t seem to help but call him sweet and talented and amazing every time he’s asked even the simplest question about his co-star.

Hayley deliberately steers them back towards the others a little, enough to make sure Chris can hear her when she calls out to him, “Oi, Christopher, do me a favour and come here for a second, will you?”

Chris starts, shaking himself out of his reverie. “What, me?”

“Yes, you.” Hayley clicks her fingers. “Come one, chop chop.”

Believing this to be his cue to leave, Sebastian lets go of her, trying to step back, but Hayley just grabs him tighter. “Oh no, I’m not done with you yet, pretty boy.”

“But-” Sebastian says, but Hayley shushes him with a finger to his lips.

“Sshhh. Trust me, okay?”

Sebastian’s eyes narrow slightly in confusion, but he doesn’t pull away. Hmm. Hayley always suspected he’d be good at following orders. She turns a bit, grabbing a handful of Chris’s shirt and pulling him closer, slotting him in behind her.

“Come on, boys,” she challenges, tilting her head up to look at each of them in turn. “Grant this old lady her dying wish of getting to dance with two handsome men at once, won’t you?”

“I’m a year older than you,” Chris protests – the big lug.

Hayley shrugs. “Yes, well, you know perfectly well a woman’s lifespan in Hollywood is significantly shorter than a man’s. Enough talking, now’s the time for dancing.”

She starts to move again, swaying her hips from side to side to the music and forcing them both to move with her. With her right hand, she feels behind her, finding Chris’s hand and placing it on her hip – where Sebastian’s hand is also resting. Their fingers touch, Sebastian’s left hand to Chris’s right, and Chris makes to pull away, but Hayley tightens her grip and doesn’t let him escape. Once it seems like Chris has stopped trying to resist, she switches to her left side to do the same thing, basically leaving the boys to hold hands on top of her hips.

“That’s it,” she nods approvingly. “Just follow my lead.”

Neither man says a word, both of them ostensibly focusing their attention on her, but in reality, Hayley is certain the only thing they’re aware of his how close to each other they’re dancing and where their hands are touching. She can feel the tension in both of them, feel their hearts beating fast where their chests are pressed to her back and front.

They’re not exactly dancing now, more of a slow grind that Hayley is pretty sure some of the women in their vicinity are shooting her jealous looks for, but she doesn’t give a flying fuck. All Hayley cares about in that moment is her mission, of which the crucial stage is coming up right...

Now.

In a smooth, calculated move, Hayley twists out from between Chris and Sebastian, causing them to stumble and fall forward – right into each other.

“Oh,” Sebastian blurts, hands coming up to brace himself. On Chris’s chest.

They both freeze, eyes growing wide in surprise but unable to look away; the proverbial deer in the headlights.

Before they have a chance to snap out of their shock and do something undoubtedly stupid that will endanger her entire mission, Hayley quickly grabs their shoulders and gives them a firm squeeze, effectively pushing them closer together.

“Very good, just keep dancing now. Atta boy.” And with a final pat, she’s gone.

Of course, she doesn’t go far, just stepping back far enough so that she’s out of their space but still close enough to have a clear view of what happens next.

Sebastian’s hands are still on Chris’s chest, one on each defined pectoral, while Chris’s raised hands are hovering awkwardly at the level of Sebastian’s midriff. They’re not moving, but they’re not moving away either, which Hayley counts as a tentative win. Skittishly, Sebastian averts his eyes to stare at a point somewhere over Chris’s right shoulder, and it’s all very awkward, until eventually, Chris cautiously lowers his arms, resting his hands lightly on either side of Sebastian’s waist.

At the touch, Sebastian visible exhales, as if he’d been holding his breath this entire time. In turn, Chris’s shoulders relax infinitesimally once he realizes Sebastian isn’t shoving him off. One of them, she’s not sure who, slowly starts to move again; just the slightest movement from side to side, but it’s enough to make Hayley clap her hands together in glee.

Slowly but surely, Chris and Sebastian start to sway together, finding a rhythm and sticking to it, almost perfectly in sync. They don’t speak, clearly terrified to do something that will break the spell, and it’s so ridiculously cute that Hayley has to fight the urge to squee.

While Sebastian is still studying that elusive spot on the far wall, Chris is watching Sebastian, looking completely enraptured. God, he’s so in love, it’s almost painful to watch. Hayley prays this won’t fall apart at the last minute, because Chris would be absolutely devastated and go all kicked puppy on them and that would be too much even for her to handle. Finally, her prayers are answered. It takes a while for Sebastian to gather his courage, but then he turns his head a fraction, and meets Chris’s eyes.

Hayley could swear she can feel the electricity crackling between them, can almost hear the sound of those pieces finally clicking into place. It’s quite possibly the most satisfying thing she’s ever witnessed.

The air around them changes, slows down, becomes thick and charged as they look deeply into each other’s eyes. All the while, they’re still moving together, Chris’s hands now gripping Sebastian’s waist more firmly as Sebastian’s hands slowly slide around to clutch at Chris’s shoulders. Chris pulls Sebastian’s hips forwards, flush with his own, and Hayley sees how Sebastian’s fingers dig into the meat of Chris’s shoulders. When Chris leans in a hair’s breadth, Sebastian responds in kind until their foreheads are touching, their noses bumping together, breathing the same air.

Chris murmurs something Hayley can’t make out, probably some sort of endearment, and then he's moving in, eyes closing as their lips meet for the very first time.

Hayley doesn’t even try stop the sound of pure joy that escapes her. She punches the air, whirling on the spot and almost bumping into Anthony. Anthony, who is beaming, grinning from ear to ear.

“You did it!” he yells, holding up his hand for Hayley to high five, which she does with feeling.

“I fucking did it!” Elated, she throws her arms around Antony’s shoulders and lets him spin her around. “Wait, wait,” she says as she’s put back on her feet again. “I need to see the rest.”

She turns back to the dance floor, just in time to see Chris lift his right hand to the side of Sebastian’s face. His big palm cradles Sebastian’s jaw as his thumb swipes almost tenderly back and forth over his cheekbone. Both of them have closed their eyes and they’ve all but stopped moving, too caught up in the kiss to have any attention to spare for dancing. Hayley can’t blame them. They’re stunning, getting lost in each other after nearly two years of helpless pining. It’s a sight she doesn’t think she’ll forget any time soon.

As she’s watching, the kiss deepens. Someone opens their mouth, the other follows suit, and suddenly there’s tongues – tongues and slick lips, hungry mouths devouring each other as if they’ve been starving for years and are finally, finally being fed.

Chris has got a tight hold of Sebastian and doesn’t look like he’s planning on letting him go anytime soon, but fortunately, Sebastian doesn’t look like he minds. In fact, he’s slowly sliding his hands down Chris’s wide back, lower and lower until they find his ass and he squeezes. Hayley can almost hear the growl Chris lets out at that, the way his fingers tighten in Sebastian’s hair, making him gasp for air.

“Whoa,” Anthony mutters next to her, “I feel like I’m seein’ some things I’m not supposed be seein’.”

Hayley’s never been a prude, far from it, but even she starts to feel a little voyeuristic. She hums. “Might be time for them to move it off the dance floor, at least.”

She wades into the crowd until she reaches the tangled mess of limbs formerly known as Chris and Sebastian, tapping them on the shoulder to try and get their attention.

“My darlings, I am ecstatic that you’ve finally come to your senses, but you might want to move this somewhere a little more private, eh?”

Neither Chris nor Sebastian really responds, which, kind of rude, but okay, she’ll let it slide just this once. Drawing the line at actually poking her nose into their business, Hayley starts to gently push at them until they finally get the hint.

“What’s – huh?” Chris finally lifts his head, giving her a dazed look.

“Just going to take you somewhere a little less public,” Hayley assures him. “See that corner over there? It has your names written all over it.”

“Fuck,” Sebastian mutters, blinking out of his trance. “Yeah, come on, quick.” He takes Chris’s hand, entwining their fingers, and starts to pull him towards the designated corner.

“Okay, then,” Hayley says brightly. “I guess my job here is done. Have fun, boys. Oh, and be safe, yeah?”

With that, she lets them go, fondly watching them stumble to their destination, where they immediately resume their lip locking. And hip locking. It takes approximately five seconds before Chris is sliding a hand down Sebastian’s thigh, lifting his leg so that he can slot their groins together more effectively and grind against him while enthusiastically continuing to suck face.

Reluctantly, Hayley turns around, smiling to herself.

Mission complete.

Now, where's Anthony? She rather thinks she owes him a dance.

Fix-it Fanfiction by Fandom

A.K.A. The Leverage Test

I've been getting requests to post my spreadsheets and analysis of fix-it fanfiction on AO3, so here we are, my friends. You may remember that I posted about how few fix-it fanfictions there are for Leverage (this post). Now, thanks to a lovely friend of mine (please check out their site at http://setupminimal.github.io/), I have data for the number of fix-it fanfictions for every fandom on AO3 with more than 1000 works. This data was collected on February 1st, 2020.

First off, for all you nerds out there, here is a link to the data in full. This has a spreadsheet with all the data, including "fix-it percentage" and fix-it percentage excluding crossovers. There are also sheets with the data from each individual type of media. By default, they are sorted by fix-it percentage. If you'd like to view my summary of the data in presentation form, there is a slideshow so you can do that as well.

Now, for some analysis!

Here's a chart showing a break down of fix-it percentage by type of media.

The mean percentage for each type of media is marked, and the gray bar marks the grand mean.

Cool stuff, right? Next, let's take a look at the most popular fandoms: those with over 100,000 works on AO3.

Popular Fandoms

So, of the most popular fandoms, Teen Wolf has the highest percentage of fix-it fanfictions: 3.81%. It is followed by the Avengers movies, with 3.24% fix-its. The lowest, with just 0.021% fix-its, is the Korean boy band BTS (not surprisingly given the low rate of fix-its in fanfiction based on real people). The next lowest is Sherlock Holmes and Related Fandoms, with a respectable 1.01% fix-it percentage.

Fandoms with Extreme Fix-It Percentages

Next, let's examine have the extremes: fandoms with very low or very high fix-it percentages. I'm not going to focus much on the celebrity, music, or reality TV fanfictions, as those have very few fix-its.

Let's start with the media fans wanted to fix the least.

Books: • Les Misérables - Victor Hugo (5.89%) • Captive Prince - C. S. Pacat (10.62%) • The works of Stephen King (11.53%) • IT - Stephen King (12.18%) (I'm so sorry, Stephen King. Please don't take offense.)

Movies: • The Social Network (2010) (5.52%) • Big Hero 6 (2014) (8.17%) • Wonder Woman (Movies - Jenkins) (8.54%) • Call Me By Your Name (2017) (9.47%) • Kingsman (Movies) (10.10%) • IT (Movies - Muschietti) (11.57%) So far the IT fix-its are coming out on top. I guess people really want their happy endings for that particular story.

Theater: • Harry Potter and the Cursed Child - Thorne & Rowling (2.05%) • Heathers: The Musical - Murphy & O'Keefe (2.44%) • Les Misérables - Schönberg/Boublil (4.73%) We have another winner! Les Misérables is apparently in need of fixing in both book and stage format.

Video Games: • Red Dead Redemption (4.40%) • Until Dawn (8.05%)

Things to Note

Now, I don't want anyone to get the wrong idea about what I'm trying to say with this data. So, I have a few disclaimers:

This data is for fun, and not meant to be some infallible way to measure fanfiction writers' satisfaction with canon.

I haven't seen or read all the media I'm going to mention here, so I can't make any guarantees of quality (or lack thereof).

Different fandoms have different cultures and terminology, so that could affect the number of fanfictions tagged as "fix-it."

Not every fanfiction that tries to fix canon will be tagged as fix-it.

Though we love it dearly, AO3 is only one fanfiction site, and it doesn't represent all of fanfiction, especially for fandoms which were around before its inception.

Headcanon: hes the least athletic i think that's canon though, tried to keep a fish tank in the office but hana ended up taking over + then getting rid of it but by then he wanted an office cat or bird or something "more interesting" so that hed feel like taking care if it but by that point she put her foot down on animals, tries out lots of misc hobbies that he eventually drops (golf, tennis(very embarrassing), gardening, etc (mostly sports bc he feels like a lazy piece of shit sometimes + gets splurges of Yeah Fitness!!!)), all kinds of math teams and etc growing up he actually really likes math, has a lot of gifts he chickened out on giving hana just kind of buried in the office, bad at video games, can't cook, he buys lots of cheap things bc he doesnt really see the point of splurging on fancy unnecessary stuff, magazine hoarder bc he just picks up whatever for a mindless read when at the store and forgets if he's gotten it before

I've been at such a stagnant point with my social anxiety in particular that I have to start pushing back harder, and doing this I feel would be one of the most relaxed, social job positions I can hopefully handle. Apparently, I've only had one truly educated psychiatrist out of no less than a dozen I'd seen, because he fixed me right up. He taught me that those who suffer from bipolarity should avoid anti-depressants; they ramp up your bipolar symptoms. Instead, mood stabilizers are favorable. And what do you know, after I was prescribed a stabilizer and a catalyst for that medication, my depression decreased dramatically and became handleable. Have you ever starved yourself? Kinda. I’m Maggie (she/her), and I’ve been @glycerineclown on the internet since 2007. I’ve been writing fanfiction off-and-on for more than half my life. It’s the only hobby I’ve ever really stuck with, and I am very content with writing being a pastime rather than a career. I have worked professionally as an editor (and I thank V for helping me discover that passion!). My writing style is blocking and dialogue with very few adjectives, so I should really have gone to school for screenwriting, but that sounds difficult.

Characters are what I care about—plot holds little interest for me, so I have a hard time writing it. I like hero’s journeys, realism, getting-together fic, women with agency, and men with principles. Mundane problems are my favorite problems, and miscommunication can kiss my ass.

I have very bad luck with falling hard for shows that get cancelled too fast or not fast enough. Sorry if I sound like I’m disappointed all the time, I just have really high standards, and I get mad when stories aren’t told in a sensitive, succinct, logical way.

For me, fanfiction has always been a place to escape from those canon disappointments. And, of course, a way to get my favorite characters naked.

TEEN WOLF VERSE ARCS

Cosmo’s current default verse is set after he has graduated from university. He works at an independent Cyber Security firm but uses his online alias g1itch to supply supernatural creatures with new identities and cover stories when they need to move locations due to imposing dangers. He remains in contact with Scott and every now and again is willing to work as a consultant or partner into supernatural investigations, but only if he’s asked to by a close friend or ally.

ARC I, SEASON 1 : Cosmo was recently admitted to Eichen House where he was placed within the care of Josephine Vickers, a professional psychiatrist who would diagnose Cosmo with behavioral and mental health issues including but not limited to, antisocial, borderline and avoidant personality disorders. Josephine would mold much of Cosmo’s personal feelings towards himself, convincing him of several notions that remain within him into adulthood. Cosmo is released from Eichen House soon after Kate Argent and Peter Hale are found responsible for the murders occurring around Beacon Hills.

ARC II, SEASON 2 : Cosmo has made an effort to focus on his studies and returning to a normal life after his time spent in Eichen House but finds this extremely difficult when he continues to See monsters around every corner. In an effort to cope with his “hallucinations”, Cosmo begins to self-medicate with alcohol, behaving impulsively and with little regard to his own wellbeing. After the attack at Jungle, Cosmo demands answers from Stiles but remains in the dark about the existence of the supernatural until he has a harrowing confrontation with Gerard Argent.

ARC III, SEASON 3A : As Cosmo’s visions continued to plague him, he begins investigating the existence of the supernatural in secret. However, with Jennifer Blake appearing as a scarred cloaked figure in class and Lydia Martin being followed by the dead, things come to a tipping point when Noah is taken hostage by the Darach. The twins work together to find the location of where Noah, Melissa and Chris were being kept.

Stiles finally admits the existence of werewolves and the supernatural world to Cosmo who later learns from Deaton that he is what is known as a Seer. A rare being that is able to perceive and witness the true forms of supernaturals and see through the veil which separates supernatural imprints and occurrences from the eyes of normal people.

ARC IV, SEASON 3B : Cosmo spends much of his break studying and researching Seer’s and with his brother's help and discovers a way to turn off his Sight allowing him to go days without seeing visions of monsters and worlds beyond their own. His triumph however does not last as Stiles’ nightmares become more frequent and frightening. Upon Stiles’ possession, the Nogitsune returns home to where Cosmo confronts it.

The Nogitsune, believing that Cosmo’s death would break Stiles’ spirit and allow it complete control over his host, attacks Cosmo. However, with the use of his Sight, Cosmo manages to grasp a hold of the spirit itself and attempts to tear it from Stiles’ body. The Nogitsune is forced to flee but the ordeal causes Cosmo immense pain, eyes hemorrhaging and suffering a seizure that hospitalizes him.

ARC V, SEASON 4 : Cosmo was one of the names on the Deadpool list, worth 20 million like Lydia Martin due to his being a Seer. He found himself periodically being shadowed by his brother and friends in an effort to keep an eye on him, but when he was inevitably attacked by several would-be assassins, he was able to defend himself. However, Cosmo’s tendency for extreme violence has him facing several uncomfortable questions from family and allies as he fails to recognize when he crosses the line from self-defense, to attempted murder.

While Cosmo attempts to reevaluate his stance on the use of extreme violence, he aids in the investigation into those responsible for the Deadpool and has become an active participant with the McCall pack.

ARC VI, SEASON 5A : The Dread Doctors cause Cosmo’s Seer abilities to fluctuate and overwhelm him. ARC VIII, COLLEGE : Cosmo leaves Beacon Hills upon graduating High School with Honors and enrolls at the University of San Francisco. He’s working on a double major in Engineering and Computer Science, he’s working as a summer internship for Applied Physics and designs his own app which has monopolized income that Cosmo has begun investing as well as using to pay off his father’s debts with Eichen House, their mortgage and has begun saving to eventually renovate his childhood home.

He only lives in the university dorms for his first year before he moves into a loft apartment and hopes to have a more challenging career in Physics Science. Cosmo works largely as an anonymous figure, rarely meeting his clients face-to-face and almost exclusively aiding those who are recommended to him through either his brother, or Scott McCall. Cosmo has since created a large network of contacts, both supernatural and human. As such, he is usually the middleman and thus has been targeted by hunters and other violent and dangerous creatures attempting to use him as a way of garnering other victims.

Hoechlin got his start in acting when he was still in grade school, and though some get into the field with grand ambitions to be a thespian, his motivations were a bit more direct. He knew acting gigs paid money (because his mom told him he'd picked up some commercials as a baby), and he wanted a bit more pocket cash to buy video games. Hard to argue with that logic, especially coming from a third-grader. Here's an excerpt from what he told Empire: "At the time I was, like, seven or eight years old, and I brought up, 'Oh, that'd be kind of cool to go and make my own money so I could buy my own video games.'"

Once he took a shot at Hollywood, Hoechlin landed his first professional acting gig at the age of 11: a small role in Disney Sing Along Songs: Happy Haunting, which was released in 1998 on VHS. The video focused on a Halloween party at the haunted mansion in Disneyland and included several singalong songs.

At the ripe old age of 13, Hoechlin landed one heck of a breakout role: Tom Hanks' son in the critically acclaimed 2002 graphic novel adaptation Road To Perdition. Hoechlin took full advantage of the opportunity and showed he certainly has the acting chops to stand side by side with one of the greats. He also pulled down some awards for his performance, including a Phoenix Film Critics Society Award for Best Youth Performance, a Saturn Award for Best Performance by a Younger Actor, and a Young Artist Award for Best Youth Actor Leading Role in a Motion Picture Drama.

In his teenage years, Hoechlin made the jump to television with a major recurring role in The WB's family drama 7th Heaven, playing the character Martin Brewer. He played the son of a Marine and eventually winds up living with the Camdens for a few years. His character is portrayed as a baseball star, and much of his storyline revolved around Martin trying to land a college scholarship for his skills on the diamond. He was a stalwart on 7th Heaven from 2003-2007.

Hoechlin's 7th Heaven character was a case of art imitating life. The young actor was also one heck of a talented baseball player, starring for the Arizona State Sun Devils and UC-Irvine in college. At one point, he turned down a meeting with Francis Ford Coppola and a role in the Twilight franchise due to his busy baseball schedule. But that changed when Hoechlin began landing more acting offers and came down with a hamstring injury that temporarily sidelined him from baseball. When he knew he was finally giving up his baseball dreams, after having a meeting with his coach and dealing with an injury, Hoechlin told ESPN he decided to officially make the jump: "Because of baseball, I was putting acting on the backburner. It was like an answered prayer. It was like the decision was made for me. I wasn't going to quit until someone told me to stop."

Before landing the Supergirl gig, Hoechlin was probably best known for his supporting role in MTV's Teen Wolf adaptation as Derek Hale. His character came a long way during that series, giving Hoechlin an opportunity to play a few different types along the way. It didn't hurt that it was on a buzzy show with a fervent fan base. Though he obviously has the leading man good looks, Hoechlin was a supporting player on Teen Wolf, good preparation to come into the Supergirl world as a guest star.

It's funny how fate works out. Back in 2013, it was rumored that Hoechlin was in the running to play Bruce Wayne/Batman in the sequel to Man of Steel, eventually titled Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, but that role went to Ben Affleck. The story had never really been confirmed in any meaningful way, but while hitting the press rounds for Supergirl, Hoechlin confirmed he really did audition for the big screen DC-verse. He told Empire the tone of the films from his sample pages was much darker than the work he's doing on The CW: "It was already very much obvious from the beginning that that was going to be a story of his struggle with things."

It's typically a fierce battle to land a starring role as a superhero, but Hoechlin didn't even have to audition for his plum gig in Supergirl. Instead, the producers of the series were already familiar with the actor, so they just invited him over for a chat. He knew the gig had something to do with Supergirl, but he had no idea it was to actually play the Man of Steel himself. The chat went well, and they asked him his thoughts on Superman. He told Entertainment Weekly his answer was immediate. Within a week, there was an official offer on the table for Hoechlin to don the iconic red and blue tights. Easy, right?

Before landing the Superman gig on Supergirl, Hoechlin rocked one heck of a mustache for his role in Richard Linklater's 2016 film Everybody Wants Some!!, a "spiritual sequel" to Dazed and Confused. When he was booked for the film, Hoechlin grew a mustache for the character. (He's barely recognizable with the facial hair.) During an interview with Carson Daly, the actor revealed the cast of Everybody Wants Some!! actually lived together for three weeks for the film while playing frat house bros in the movie. In a chat with Collider about getting into the role, Hoechlin said it was a collaborative effort — but he's always up for diving into a cool character (and he really dug the mustache): "The mustache was a definite 'Yes.' … Burt Reynolds, maybe Tom Selleck … was what we went for."

As if being the Man of Steel wasn't enough, Hoechlin is looking to take his sex symbol status to a whole new level with the upcoming Fifty Shades of Grey sequel Fifty Shades Darker. Hoechlin has joined the franchise as Boyce Fox. The character was referenced in the first Fifty Shades movie, but he'll show up in the 2017 sequel for the first time. The character is the first author Ana signs as an editor at the publishing company SIP. It's sometimes tough to bounce between TV and film, but Hoechlin is making it look effortless.

1. Small Favors (bellamy/clarke, 24k words, 790 kudos, Dec 2014)

Small favors born out of sheer necessity (part I, part II) forge a unique intimacy (part III, part IV, part V, part VI) that brings forth intense chemistry (part VII, part VIII).

Or, how Bellamy & Clarke take their time falling in love, with some cameos by other favorites in the The 100.

Oh boy, what a flashback. This was my first long fic for Bellarke, which is kinda funny because it mostly started by how annoyed I was that Clarke’s hair was all over the place and thus a short little fic was born (which became Chapter 1). The mural idea / description is probably one of my personal triumphs too.

2. All This Time (bellamy/clarke, 5.4k words, 491 kudos, July 2015)

Four times Bellamy innocently kisses Clarke, + one time he doesn't.

While I wrote this because of a prompt (TSwift songs provide so much writing inspiration, which is #timely given today’s news) but it was inspired by some real-life crush experience that I was going through at the time oooh boi that is a thing that i forgot happened.

Clarke goes missing for a few days, and when she returns, she finds that Bellamy has gone to look for her. Fear creeps in, because history seems to be repeating itself, but this time, she doesn't know if she can survive the fallout.

My first prompted fic ever! I was so nervous given the ‘epic kiss’ request, so I’m actually super happy that this is one of my top fic??

4. Sight Unseen (bellamy/clarke, 2.5k words, 415 kudos, May 2015)

Dr. Clarke Griffin is a professional, and professionals do not have crushes on their patients, and they certainly don't act on them. Sergeant Bellamy Blake, however, is proving to be a challenge for her, especially when she overhears some information that lets her know she isn't alone in her feelings.

Kinda surprised this one is so far up? Honestly I had more fun writing the Raven & Bellamy cranky-roommates-who-refuse-to-admit-they’re-friends dynamic than Bellarke here, but I suppose because Raven is The Queen Of My Soul lol.

First, Clarke comes home, and Bellamy smiles, because home isn't just a place.

So, Clarke is mystified as to how cheek kisses with Bellamy became a thing, but apparently it is, and, also apparently, it makes her more flustered than she should be about it.

Finally, Clarke is avoiding Bellamy, and he has no idea why. Although he might just be avoiding her too, though he knows the reason for that perfectly well, and, unluckily in his case, so it seems does everybody else.

Or, in which the author received four 'Clarke-comes-home' prompts and decided to make a mini-multichapter fic out of them.

OH man I remember being like ‘I cannot write four of the same fic’ but also felt bad doing a 1-for-4 deal, so molded them into a multichapter! Sometimes I’m an efficient writer (but not most of the time heh).

What are your five least popular works by kudos? (in ascending order)

1. a drop in the ocean (scott/kira, 807 words, 6 kudos)

It had been a pretty good idea, the way Scott had planned on asking Kira to prom.

This Scira ‘angst w/ happy ending prompt’ was really fun, but I’m not surprised its so low. Basically my non-Bellarke fics don’t tend to have great signal-to-noise ratio.

2. each happy ending is a brand new beginning (scott/allison, 1.7k words, 8 kudos, Aug 2016)

Scott had everything planned out. All of his classes meticulously fit into his four year plan, the plan that would get him into veterinary school. Part of that plan was taking organic chemistry his sophomore year, and the other part was acing it so he could get into a top program.

What his plan did not include, however, was a pretty, brown-haired international transfer student as his lab partner who apparently broke everything she touched.

So I ended up making Allison the royal one here. Cute prompt and easy to write.

3. Six Feet, Three Minds, One Heart (abby & kane & callie, 400 words, 11 kudos, Aug 2016)

Prompt: Abby's friend and Kane's *friend* Cece is found alive in the rubble of the Alpha Station two weeks after the Mt Weather liberation.

Summary: After this rescue, friends do all walk through the gate together.

Ah yes, this prompt came during the time period where there was some type of Bellarke drama going on and I was avoiding the ship so I asked for non-Bellarke The 100 prompts. I don’t often write from the adults POV so this was really refreshing to tackle!!

4. Death Becomes Them (teen wolf pack friendship fic, 3.5k words, 12 kudos, April 2016)

Six friends, six senses, and death.

Honestly this is the fic is the one I am most disappointed about being on this part of the list. I am super proud of what I wrote here (esp stylistically), but character studies don’t tend to be popular, which I’m aware of, so I can’t really be too put out.

5. choices & chances (feyre/rhys, 440 words, 13 kudos, Jan 2017)

Prompt: Rhys/Feyre, "I won't make that mistake. I know you should never try to control someone like you." {i.e. superhero au}

This was a flash fic prompt, so it was basically writing practice. Though I did get an ask for a follow-up to this recently, which was a surprise??
