Releasing with the launch of UTAU, March 6th, 2008, she's the first and default vocal for the program! She's also, in turn, the first UTAU to have a completely synthetic vb, being voiced by the voice synthesis software Aquestalk! (specifically AquesTalk-Female1, which you might recognize as the voice of the Yukkuri from the Touhou fandom, or from various songs by PinnochioP)

She has 2 official voicebanks, the one that comes preinstalled with the software, and an alternate one with clearer vocals. There are also a plethora of fan-made banks made to make her sound nicer and/or to make her easier to use. Anecdotally, when I was trying to download her to use in OpenUtau, I wasn't aware of her alternate bank that you could download, and instead I got a fan-made one off Itch.io (The Defokollection for anyone who knows), which got me really confused bc that one is in Romaji, not Kana.

SO!!! synthv the editor itself takes about 72MB! which is very small god bless. the voicebanks tend to be 35-40mb at most too!

to put it into perspective, i have about 11 AI voicebanks downloaded and a few LITE voicebanks, as a total it’s about 850~ mbs, so honestly it’s actually quite a small amount considering how many i have downloaded!! ( note: it seems lite standard voicebanks take more storage, eleanor’s standard lite takes 100~ mbs and her ai standard takes 14~ mbs, i’m guessing that’s just an issue with standard vbs in general )

so all in all they’re very light on storage! glad 2 be of help!! :3 also thank you so much!!!!! :333 !!!!

Hello, I hope you're doing well! I was an UTAU fan a long time ago and got back into it recently and I was wondering if you could share what happened to UTAUPSS. The site is down and some of it is on the internet archive, and I'm curious to know if there are any plans for the future. Thank you so much for all your hard work!

Thank you for letting me know about the site-- I had no idea that google just de-listed it... But as of yesterday it should be back up, and all downloads should be there as well! But after releasing the voicebanks in, what... 2010? Pudding and myself both started college and shelved the project. We've both talked about jokingly re-recording VBs but who knows if that will ever come to fruition ahha. I have had a few people reach out and ask for permission to make VCV banks from what we've released which is pretty cool! (And I've just found out that a parody/joke VB I recorded has a bunch of people making covers with Ichigo Yukaine which is absolutely Crazy to me lol!?) I'll probably go through my old harddrives and see what else I have to throw up on the website though haha.

Ron Keine is a japanese synth released in 2010. hes voiced by keyl, and illustrated and designed by Matsuda Toki. (last year i said rons chinese as that is when utau wikia guesses his ethnicity is, but this time i mean it as in the language of his vb)

"Windows100% is a Japanese monthly magazine series published by Shinyusha. The magazine covers the latest applications and software for PC systems, as well as video games and anime-centric topics. Each issue comes with CDs full of various apps and game demos for subscribers to try. The series goes back as far as 2006" (from the mmd wikia). "The Windows 100% UTAU were released alongside the Starter Pack and Perfect Master magazines published by SHINYUSHA. They are commercial products. These UTAUloids are voiced by popular Japanese seiyuu, singers and musicians" (from the utau wikia)

hoshino fumika is a japanese windows 100% utau released in 2013. shes voiced by Hirano fumi, and illustrated by しずまよしのり("shizumayoshinori" i think) (M_ars on twt). fumika was sold with the windows 100% utau perfect master magazine. utau wikia says fumika was introduced on 2 jan 2013, but wiki2.0 and vocadb say 1 feb 2013. also utau wikia says she came in the january 2012 edition mook, then later that she came in the july 2012 edition, and niconicopedia says it was the jan 2013 edition.

"In march of 2020 a fan project was finalized and released as the unofficial UTAU STARTER PACK OVERSEAS EDITION. This series included 10 voicebanks sampled from various people around the internet to create a colorful collection of new characters. About once a month, I've gotten comments on my English UTAU recommendation doc (which google LOVES to autodelete, sorry to all the beautiful people who commented on it) so I took the time to finally update it! For new followers, this is a list of English UTAUs I've used/downloaded over the years that I really love/think are of good quality.

Every voicebank link should work now, a few were moved/updated. However, the links to some are broken and I can't find reuploads of them from the creator, if you know anything it'd really help! I marked the links as broken on the doc since I didn't want to delete UTAUs from the list outright.

Final (for now) update on my utau issues: After clearing the flags/redrawing the note/trying other vcv voicebanks I have on computer I've now noticed that the two notes I'm having issues with are the same pitch + are the only notes in the ust with this pitch. I had some issues downloading ppoiyo's edge retake vb because my computer was having issues with file names + the like, so my guess is that it skipped/corrupted the specific subfolder/file that this pitch corresponds to (iirc the folder was A3 and these problem notes are B3 so it's likely I guess) so I'm going to delete + reinstall this vb and see if that fixes things.
