probably gonna delete this later but holy shit i fucking hate dreamwastaken so much especially his stupid new server. fucking listen to me right now. taking into consideration that dream is not copying off qsmp and has been working on this server for some time, its still bullshit.

first off everyone trying to say that theres a difference between bi-lingual and multilingual — quackity has said on stream that hes planning to make qsmp multilingual as well, with ccs that speak other languages being able to join. so shush about that.

secondly, all that aside, announcing united smp so close to qsmp’s start is in incredibly poor taste regardless, without even an acknowledgement of qsmp in the official announcement tweet, especially since dream and quackity are supposed to be friends. if he’d bothered at all to hire a PR team, it could have been done much more tactfully, but as usual, dream has opted to wing it, leading to just being a shitty person (see also: his tantrums during mcc, his inability to ignore cheating accusations).

furthermore, the difference between qsmp and usmp is that qsmp is a passion project — quackity is trying to introduce his culture and language to a wider audience, and create a space where he can play with all his friends, spanish-speaking and english-speaking. dream, on the other hand, is a monolingual white man who is clearly trying to take advantage of the passion people have for language and culture to earn him more clout, and hopefully erase people’s memories of every terrible thing he’s ever done. I understand the concept of a multilingual server is exciting — but seriously, watch qsmp instead. theres more love in it.

finally, all of this aside — dream is still a groomer. its pretty insane how you guys ignored that. in fact, one of his motivations behind united smp is probably to expand to a less english-speaking audience who is less likely to be aware of the accusations. please don’t let this fool you — united smp is not a sign of redemption, its a distraction. dont support it.

tl;dr: watch QSMP, not USMP.

I think people need to stop acting like there's a "competition" between the qsmp and the usmp. Yes, both are based on multiple langages interacting, but it's obvious both were though of thanks to squidcraft ! Which was a multi-lingual event !

People will not stop watching the qsmp for the usmp, and vice-versa, people have Always watched multiple people and have had fun on multiple SMPs. Just look at how many people into dsmp were also into origins, hermitcraft, the bearsmp etc etc...

This is genuinely a very cool concept for a lot of reasons and i Can't wait to see more of it. :)

i'm making this post because the fact that people don't believe there's harassment happening is wild. it's been happening since the usmp was announced. it got worse when the racism issue on the qsmp happened, which i felt very strongly about speaking out on, and has honestly not stopped. so i want to give a breakdown of what's happened and what i've seen.

i had to leave for a few days to avoid the harassment. people threatened me with acts of violence, threatened my kids and my pets, people were spamming qrts with images of self-harm hidden in fancams. they called me slurs or demanded to see my tribal enrollment. even someone here on tumblr said they believed people were probably faking being indigenous. there was a ton of 'oh so now dream stans care about racism'. because they see us as dream 'stans' first and foremost. this has been a long running issue for poc in the fandom.

people have been doxxed and at least one person got the police involved because someone showed up to their house. this was one of the admins of the usmp update account, an account that was hacked and whose admins have been endlessly harassed and threatened.

i have never seen this level of harassment before and this fandom once drove me to be hospitalized.

it's bad. and it's real. the fact that people are saying things like it's fake or 'dream stans always have to be the victim' is just awful. people on here have made jokes about the very real threats of violence, doxxing, and rape threats that are being directed not just at dream and his family, including his minor sister, but his fans as well. people are being harassed and threatened with the most vile shit. there are legitimate threats. people are scared. it isn't okay.

there's no doubt that people on both sides have been cruel. none of that is okay. i've seen stuff that i absolutely do not approve of. it's never okay to harass people. point blank. there's no 'but' to that.

right now, the fact is that people are being harassed and badly. whatever you may feel about dream and his fans, these things are real and unacceptable.

Its very exciting, because I would like to go to that university, in Perú; and I was thinking of moving to Perú to go to this university, the University San Martin de Porres, the USMP. Its very exciting to share these news with you, I think Im gonna have to leave twitch to study there. So lets see how it goes. I dont know if there might be people in the chat that are in the University San Martin de Porres, but lets see whats up. Yeah its very interesting to me, this university. So lets talk about this because the director of the university today started confirming stuff out of nowhere. So lets talk about this topic, I wont confirm my integration, but lets talk about it because its been a very important “leak” and a lot of people are talking about it.

people saying that QSMP and USMP can't co-exist because both are multilanguage with live translation is so... bumb. Because I really don't think both SMPs will have the same content creators on them.

For example atm I very rarely watch QSMP because I'm not interested enough in the CCs that are on said SMP. But with USMP I already know I will watch because Dream will stream it.

People need to learn that you can enjoy two things, even when they're similar. Instead of being angry that someone made something similar to another CC, you should be excited that you get two different versions you can enjoy!

I honestly can’t think of anything more wonderful. Like, Minecraft has always been a fun way to meet people and make friends from around the world for me!

But the limit was always speaking English. I’ve tried learning other languages (and I’m certainly not giving up) but I really struggle with retention.

And now there’s the possibility of meeting thousands of new friends who’s languages I might struggle to learn.

I'm so excited for the usmp like I'll know the English creators, and probably a decent amount of the spanish ones, but that means there's still going to be 40 other creators I've never heard of or watched content of, new people to interact with my favorite creators and who knows what cool interactions and funny bits will come out of it.. its seriously so exciting I can't wait to get to know all of those new people
