Nerves hit as you walked through the front gates of Shiratorizawa Academy. This was your dream; this school was one of the best in the region for education. It was also one of the hardest to get into and yet finally all those years of hard work paid off and you were standing in front of your new school. You were scared but excited. You also missed your brother, though you knew you’d see him after school it was weird not going to the same school. You two had gone to the same school since elementary school, he was just a grade above you. He chose to go to Aoba Johsai, he liked the volleyball program, and it was where most kids from our junior high went to high school. It just wasn’t the place for you, you knew you were where you should be.

School was going smoothly, and the first few weeks went by in a flash. You had yet to pick an extracurricular to do after school though and the pressure of picking one was really starting to get to you. You ended up applying for the boys’ volleyball club manager position. You knew they had a great program but hadn’t had a manager in a long time. The spot was hard to get but you figured you’d give it a go, after all you had tons of experience from being at every one of Toru’s games to helping him and Iwaizumi practice. You practically knew everything there was to know about volleyball. A week later you heard back, and you were accepted.

That afternoon you headed to the gym for practice. You walked in to find a bunch of scary tall intimidating boys in there. “Why hello there little girl, who might you be?” a tall red-haired boy asked as he walked toward you to greet you properly. This question had all eyes turn to you. “I’m Oikawa… Oikawa Y/N… I’m the new manager… Nice to meet you all.” You greet them as you bow. The group of boys quickly introduced themselves and practice started. You recognized one of the boys in your year Shirabu. You two shared quite a few classes together. The boy who caught your attention the most though was a tall boy with olive-brown hair and olive-colored eyes. He had introduced himself as Ushijima Wakatoshi a year 2 on the team. You remember your brother mentioning Ushiwaka before. He couldn’t stand him. Was this the same guy your brother hated?

As time passed you became quite close with the whole team. You were closest with Shirabu since you two shared many classes together and often times partnered up for group activities. You really enjoyed being the manager, the only problem was your brother. He was NOT happy when he heard that you joined the volleyball team as manager. “But Y/N whyyyyyy? You could have come to Aoba Johsai and been our manager instead” you brother whined. “Come one Iwa-chan back me up here.” “I mean as long as Y/n-chan is happy, I’m happy for her and will support her, though personally I can’t stand them either.” “Ugh fine. But Y/N promise me one thing?” “Sure Toru, what’s up?” “Do NOT fall in love with the big stupid Ushiwaka. Got it?” You couldn’t help but laugh at your brother and his crazy request. “You never know I may already just be head over heels in love with the brick wall that is Ushiwaka” you sarcastically reply. “So mean Y/N!”

The rest of the school year seemed to fly by in the blink of an eye, though being manager, you didn’t get much of a break. The boys conditioned over breaks which meant you were also there, helping, supporting from the sidelines. The boys liked how thorough you were. You would really put a lot into helping them get better. During these conditioning times you learned Ushijima always stayed late and you always stayed with him, helping where you could. Most of this time was spent in silence but you didn’t mind his company was quite nice. The times you two would talk, it would end up being hours on end talking about anything and everything. These were some of your favorite break memories. Sooner than you’d like it was time to start year two.

Not long into starting your second year Ushijima was announced to have made the All-Japan Youth team. The team took this as a time to go out an celebrate, though you weren’t much of a party person of course you attended. You were outside away from the noise when you felt a presence behind you. A presence you were very familiar with, Ushijima. “Hey Y/N. What are you doing out here?” “Just getting some fresh air the party is just a lot. It’s a bit overwhelming. What about you?” “I also came for some fresh air.”  “Y/n…” You turned to the tall ace who was now mere inches away. “Yes Wakatoshi-kun?” “Thank you…” “What? What did I do?” “I honestly don’t think I would have made the All-Japan Youth team without your help during extra practice.” “You definitely, still would have made it without my help, you’re really talented Ushi. Never doubt that.” “Thanks Y/N” You could practically feel the heat radiating off his body he was so close. It seemed like he wanted to say something else, something more. But of course, Tendo had to interrupt. You both went back inside and enjoyed the party, though you definitely caught him watching you from afar, not that you weren’t doing the same.

Somehow word got to your brother about the party incident, and he blew it way out of proportion. You tried to explain but everything you said made it worse. He was furious and there was no stopping his rage. You assume he exchanged words with Ushijima because suddenly he was completely avoiding you. He would wait for you to leave before working on his extra training and if you refused, he would skip it. He wouldn’t talk to you unless it is necessary for volleyball. You had no idea what your brother said but at this point you were pissed at him for ruining your friendship with Ushijima.

It had been a few weeks and the Semi finals for the Interhigh Preliminaries were upon you. This meant your brother versus your team. Of course, you wanted to cheer for both, but you were so pissed at this point you decided to cheer for neither and just do your manger duties. You could see the tension between the two when they shook hands at the beginning of the game. The game was intense but ultimately Shiratorizawa came out on time and was off to Nationals. You couldn’t help but run over to your brother and friends to comfort them on their loss. Your brother decided to ignore you which just made you madder. You quickly comforted your friends and then went to celebrate with your team. As you walked up to Ushijima he quickly walked away. That was it you had enough. “Ushiwaka!! What is your deal?” you yelled across the gym getting everyone’s attention. You didn’t care if you made a scene this ends now. “Don’t you ignore me Ushiwaka! Was it something I said or did? Was it something my brother said” At that last statement you see a falter in his expression for a second before his face returns to its normal resting position. “It’s nothing Y/N. Stop making a scene.” “You know what Ushijima No I will not stop making a scene I’m tired of being ignored and pushed to the side.” “ Y/n drop it.” You hear your brother yelling at you from across the gym. “ NO you shut up, you don’t get to ruin my friendship and happiness because you’re jealous of his volleyball abilities.” Oikawa was to shocked to reply. “ Ushijima just listen to me, please. I don’t care what my brother said okay. Because you are the piece of me, I wish I didn’t need. Chasing relentlessly, still fight and I don’t know why, but if our love is tragedy. Why are you my remedy and if our love is insanity, why are you my clarity?” “Y/N…” “I know you feel it too. Honestly it’s fucking crazy but I love you Wakatoshi.” The entire gym was silent it felt like an eternity before you heard him utter, “I love you too Y/N.”

this is so funny pls,,, i wrote hc’s i hope that’s okay! 

to be fair, no one could really guess that you were twins. of course, you looked alike, but you’re different genders, so it’s not an automatic thought. it’s really not some sort of big secret, but it’s also not something you go around announcing, so really, not that many people are aware. 

as a twin brother, especially because he’s like 2 mins older (he really takes it to heart), ushijima is very protective, especially because of what happened with your parents with you two when you were younger. you’re the only proper constants in each other’s lives, so for that reason, you’re both incredibly important to each other, you know? you’re always, always there for each other, in your own ways.

also, ushijima is scary looking. nobody ever approaches you in your school, aware that he’s your step brother. of course you get approached when on your own, but it’s usually over soon as you introduce yourself as “ushijima—” like they’re gone. 

with oikawa, though, that was not the case. nobody’s ever really flirted with you. if you’d ever been approached, it’s been blatantly clear. never this whole roundabout way of going about it.

you’re in the stands, waiting for your brother who’d just won another match, when he approaches you. he starts by complimenting you, asking you how your day is, chatting you up in any way, before he starts getting comfortable, and sits by you. you’re not thinking much of it, assuming he’s just being kind since he saw you sitting alone and is just keeping you company, so you indulge him, carry out the conversation with him

until your brother returns, and you wave him over, and oikawa’s brain goes ????????

ushijima’s expressionless face suddenly tenses when he spots oikawa, and then he narrows his eyes, keeping his gaze on the other boy as he asks you, “why is he here?” 

and you innocently go, “oh he was just keeping me company. he’s really nice.” 

and oikawa’s not sure if you’re trying to cover his ass or you’re really that clueless, until ushijima sighs lowly, and goes, “nice?” 

and you beam, confirming, “nice.” 

forcing himself to relax a little, ushijima turns to sit by the empty seat on your other side, not looking over once at oikawa as he says, “stop flirting with my sister, oikawa.” 

oikawa’s just ‘aight that’s my cue’ he doesn’t even stop to think about the fact that ushijima apparently has a sister??? a really cute sister??? he just gets the hell out of there like no not associating no thank you

this caused you to only be able to survive off of snacks rather than your normal bento so you were blazing hungry when you got home

"ENOUGH"- Iwaizumi shouts, running towards you and Toru

Your eyes burn with tears as you back up, trying not to let the damn break

"YN hey-" Makki says as him and Mattsun approach

You and Toru look at each other, tears now spilling down your eyes

The realization of his words hit him

Outside of the gym, you sink to the floor, crying as the words run through your head

You felt someone slide down besides you as you looked to see Kyotani and Yahaba along with Watari surrounding you

"I'm not going to forgive him" you said, wiping your tears

"Besides Iwaizumi has probably already murdered him and Makki and Mattsun are trying to hide the body" Watari added, making you belt out a laugh 🤣

"Come back with us, don't let him get to you" Kyotani says as you nod and stand up

You walk back into the gym and see Kunimi and Kindaichi waiting outside the doors, peeking in 👀

"What's wrong?" You said, coming to see

"Iwaizumi is so pissed off YN, seriously I've never seen him so mad"- Kindaichi said

"Yeah, pretty sure Makki and Mattsun are afraid to move because it might set him off"- Kunimi

Inside you see Oikawa on his knees, Iwaizumi standing with a volleyball at the ready, anger radiating off him

"Please Iwa-chan, I didn't mean to hurt YN! Please I know you like them and I really messed up!"- Oikawa pleaded

You stopped, walking into the gym at hearing that Iwaizumi liked you

"Oikawa!! I should kill you for hurting them! You knew how I felt and seeing them cry" Iwaizumi said, his face heating more

You walked up behind Iwaizumi and stopped

"Y-You like me Hajime?" You say, eyes wide and a smile sneaking on your face

"Haji" you say, coming closer to him

"This has all gone according to plan" Oikawa said, standing up and dusting himself off

Iwaizumi is now growling at Toru who jumps back and screams a little 😅

You approach your brother glaring as he lowers his head in shame

You look at him, then to Hajime who nodds at you

seeing them knowingly grin and nod, all tooru can really do is sigh and smile a little. younger siblings, he guesses

eventually one day he gets home and he's tired and god iwa was so mean to him and he whines, "hey you can't tell me what they did at practice when you visited your boyfriend, can you?" knowing full-well they wouldn't say anything

really his protectiveness has toned down but his jokes haven't. but they're different and that's how you knows he's fine.

summary: Oikawa-nii san always gets to have girlfriends who he brings home to have sex with but you are never allowed to have a boyfriend..until now. you decide to date ushijima and you invite him over allowing him to kiss you and even touch your breasts and your nii san comes home at the wrong time and catches you, he kicks ushijima out and deals with you the only way he knows how...through edging. 

(everyone is a 3rd year in this fic)

your brother was stupid. so so stupid. you pushed your pillow tighter against your ears hoping that the feather filled sack could prevent you from hearing the bang of his bed against the wall and the familiar sound of a woman's moans. In the midst of all of the noise you heard your nii-san grunt, his voice was so husky and deep. it sounded so good, you wanted to hear more. both your curiosity and the pulsing between your thighs encouraged your releases of the pillow and you tossed your legs over the side of you bed and with as much stealth as you could acquire you snuck out of your room and pressed your ear against his room door.

it had been three whole months before you even dared asking ushijima over to your house. you finally gained the courage one afternoon when the two of you had nothing to do, he didn't even have practice which was rare so you took it as your sign from the universe finally get laid! to say you were a nervous wreck when ushijima put his hand on your thigh and asked if there was anything you wanted to do was an understatement 

you leaned forward and closed your eyes too soon because when you opened your eyes your lips were against his eyelid, you mumbled apologies and sat back as your face warmed like an oven pre-heating. he chuckled at your mistake and took your hand in his and his eyes flickered down to your lips before he moved in and gently placed a kiss against the softness of your own. you didn't know how to react, your mind kept flickering to your brown haired brother, imagining it was him kissing you instead of your boyfriend. 

was it normal for little sisters to think of their brother like that?

“get the hell out, ushijima, next time you try and mush yourself on my little sister I'll get iwa and we’ll kick your ass understand?” oikawa threatened and kicked the boy’s backpack. he sighed and nodded looking over at you one last time before grabbing his things and heading for the door.

once he was for sure gone, oikawa’s frustrations were directed towards you. “what the hell was that?” he confronted and you stood up, pushing past him to make your way to the staircase. your legs felt like jelly from being in that position for a while and it had you stumbling a bit.

“my boyfriend.” you stated simply, before turning on your heel and stomping up the stairs.
