Dependable Used Transmission: Drive with Confidence
Used Transmissions – Great Condition and Affordable
Automobile transmissions are some of among the most essential elements of an automobile. It is responsible for transmitting power from the engine to the tyres. Car transmissions come in a range of designs. Some are automated, but stick-shift vehicles with manual transmissions need the driver to perform extra steps in order for the car to function properly. Where in an automobile is the gearbox located? A transmission typically goes in the front portion of a car's chassis. In case you have ever questioned what a transmission operates, the process differs based on the kind of transmission. The potential for the gear ratio between the engine and the wheels that drive to change as the vehicle speeds up or down constitutes what a transmission, regardless of kind, does. The transmission disconnects the combustion chamber from the driving wheels while the car has stopped, enabling the engine to idle while its tyres are still. In addition to enabling quick acceleration from a stop, transmissions also let the engine operate more slowly when the car is travelling at an even rate, resulting in less engine wear.

I promised to make this post months ago and completely forgot about it until the last few days (a classic!), so here I am now. Making it. And with silly art included. Yay!
As many of you know, Mannimarco and Vanus Galerion in Elder Scrolls Online are portrayed as 2E contemporaries who mirror each other journeys to leaders, out of the Psijic Order and into their own groups. ESO makes it clear that they're meant to be similar in age as well, and it does so both by de-aging Mannimarco's model for the "Half-Forming Understandings" quest, and by making it say by Vanus himself in Artaeum Lost.
Tumblr media
BUT! If you have played Morrowind or Oblivion, you might already be familiar with Where were you when the Dragon Broke?, an account of different people's experiences during the Middle Dawn, the 1E Dragon Break. And oh! Look who it is.
Tumblr media
(notice also he says God, not King) The Middle Dawn happened between 1E 1200 and 1E 2208. Time fuckeries as much as you want, but nonetheless, 1E ends in 2920, and we know FOR SURE that Vanus was born the first years of 2E and that he joined the Psijics as a 11 yo. So, even if we took into consideration ONLY the latest period of the Middle Dawn, Mannimarco would have been a... 700+ years old novice when he met Vanus. Very funny to think about, but an old mer having an intellectual rivalry with a teenager doesn't really scream "brilliant" to me.
I'd say the retconning of his age is also supported by Worm Saga, were he doesn't mention at all his period in the Maruhkati and makes it sound like he was either born or taken to Artaeum at a very young age.
Tumblr media
Plus, both in Worm Saga and in the Vault's flashbacks and in every other source ever (WRITTEN FOR ESO. AHEM.) we see that his "discovery" of necromancy happened on Artaeum. Like, it's screamed into our ears a couple of times or more in the game itself.
The problem with all of this? The book that implies he lived through the Middle Dawn is still present in ESO.
Tumblr media
Which is to me one little example of a bigger issue with ESO writers rewriting/retconning things without taking away/trying to somewhat link the original sources. But I digress, there are different ways to make this work but since some are too complicated to be discussed now, I'll just share with you what I usually go with;
Mannimarco is a great liar. Not only a liar, a politician. A sales man. A guru. He knows how to give himself prestige. What "Where were you when the dragon broke?" is to me is either fake accounts fabricated by the Cult themselves, or stolen accounts (probably from Artaeum's archives!) where his false experience was added and then sent around Tamriel.
If I had to make a TIMELINE for all the pieces cited, I would say the publication order would be "Where were you when the dragon broke" (used as propaganda by the Cult to make Mannimarco's figure important)-> "Artaeum Lost" (disproves what was fabricated about Mannimarco)-> "Worm Saga" (new attempt to give himself prestige with that "aldmer, scion of et'Ada").

Humans are weird: The Adventures of Captain York and Felix: The Galaxies luckiest bastards
Continuation of: https://www.tumblr.com/niqhtlord01/679724673487044608/humans-are-weird-salvage-rights?source=share
“Esteemed scions,” the human captain opened up to the descending group of alien leaders, “welcome to the most interesting purchase of your lifetime!”
Despite their trepidation about dealing with a human, the gathered aliens could not disagree with the human captain’s statement.
Before them was the chance to purchase a Scral Warship; a vessel that had been deemed a fleet killer for sheer armament and technical sophistication. The human captain “York” and his crew had flown this vessel unannounced to their spaceport and loudly broadcast that they were looking to sell.
Within three hours a delegation from the chamber of scions had been assembled and shuttled up to the waiting warship to inspect it and hammer out the final details for the purchase. Lingu, the delegation leader, was somewhat more cautious than his fellow delegates.
The majority saw this as a chance of a lifetime. The acquisition of a Scral Warship would be a huge boon to the system defense fleet and would allow them to even exert power to neighboring systems. Lingu was aware of the benefits, but at the moment he was more worried about the still many unclear facts of the situation.
This York and his second in command “Felix”, claim to have salvaged the warship after finding the entire Scral crew dead. They then repaired critical systems and flew to the nearest system to put the ship up for sale.
From the very beginning Lingu found this concerning.
The standard crew complement of a Scral warship was five thousand minimum. Each member of the crew would be the cream of the Scral navy; from the lowest janitor to the captain themselves. For all five thousand to die suddenly from an “atmospheric malfunction”, as the humans had described it, would be strange to say the least. Then there was the matter of the Scral government wanting their ship back.
Salvage rights were one thing, but they meant very little to a Scral attack fleet and Lingu would be hard pressed to find a reason that would convince them to let his people keep their warship.
Lingu had sent a message to the Scral government over the matter but he had yet to receive a response. He would have to push the matter to the side for now as the humans began their sales pitch.
“What we have here is the most technologically advanced death machine the galaxy has ever seen.” York began as he began leading the delegation through the hangar doorway. In typical Scral design aesthetic the corridor was decorated with various trophies from previous conquests and battles.
A nebula blaster here, a religious braid of a Shen’gan warrior there, a tiny black obelisk of the Drumari there; it was as impressive of a collection as it was seemingly random and without order.
Lingu wasn’t paying much attention to the trophies though as he listened to the human captain.
“Have you contacted the Scral government?” Lingu asked Captain York. “I imagine they would have been rather eager to obtain such a valuable asset.”
York smiled and nodded to the diplomat. “You would be right, but after determining that the Scral were just as likely to board the ship once more and attempt to take it back we have kept our relations cordial.”
“Meaning you haven’t contacted them about your latest acquisition.” Lingu added with a smirk.
If the snub had wounded the human’s pride they gave no sign of it. With the air of a used hover vehicle salesman he deflected the question while leading the group deeper into the ship.
The group walked for another thirty minutes touring the gun decks and engineering sections of the warship. Along the way they would occasionally encounter members of York’s crew. The humans would either nod a greeting to York and the diplomats as they passed or would be so deep in their work that they hardly noticed as the delegation passed.
Lingu took notes on a data pad as they entered each area. It was strange how despite traveling through the majority of the core areas of the ship they had still yet to see a single deceased Scral. If there had been an atmospheric malfunction as Felix had said there should have been dead Scral manning their station. He pondered this question as York led the group into a turbo lift that carried them to the command bridge. York introduced some of the other humans on the bridge including his second Felix who came over to the group after smacking a nearby terminal to stop the sparks from flying out of it.
“And that concludes our wonderful tour.” York announced as he casually sat himself into the Scral command throne. He looked like a child sitting in the chair three times his size but none of the delegation openly spoke it.
“What is you offer?”
The delegation spoke amongst themselves for a moment before nodding to each other. Lingu stepped forward and handed the data pad over to York. The human took the pad and scrolled through the details on it.
“Is this a joke?” York declared as he finished.
“Something wrong captain?” Felix asked, to which York responded by handing him the data pad. Felix went through the data pad and Lingu watched their expression contort with each page.
“What the frak is this?!” Felix finally declared before throwing the data pad back in disgust. Lingu casually caught it midair and returned it to his robes.
“I take it you are not pleased with our offer?” Lingu asked. In truth he had already knew the first offer was well below the value of the ship itself. The chamber of scions had approved spending up to two third the yearly planetary budget to make the purchase but he was not willing to offer all of that without negotiating.
York slapped the right arm of the command throne and sat upright. “Perhaps you need a demonstration to up your bidding offer.”
York nodded to Felix who in turned waved a hand to the surrounding human crew. On the order they began activating the ships systems and bringing the warship to full power.
The delegation turned to see the energy shields come to life outside of the viewport. Waves of blue energy enveloped the ship in a thick radiance until the entire viewport was tinted in a blue glow.
Lingu watched as the monitors began turning on one by one showing other portions of the ship.
Video feeds of the engine room, armory, weapon batteries, and…
Lingu stopped on one monitor in particular as he saw a room filled with what looked like stacked bodies. No sooner had he started to focus on the image did it suddenly turn off. Checking the other monitors Lingu turned to see that it was the only one that had been deactivated and turned back to look at York.
York was still sitting in the command throne smiling while Felix was likewise smiling but somewhat flustered. His arms hurriedly folded behind his back and Lingu swore he could see a band of sweat running down the human’s face.
“Mr. Felix,” York cut in through the silence, “target an open area of space and have all weapon batteries open fire.”
“Wait, what?” one of the delegates said as they heard York. “You can’t fire in system, it will frighten off the other traders and merch-“
“Firing main cannons.” Felix replied in a monotone voice.
Lingu felt the ship shudder as at least a hundred weapon emplacements fired as one into the void of space. The viewport soon was filled with lances of pure energy shooting out into the void; thankfully aimed at nothing within the area.
“Quite impressive, no?” York added smugly before Felix jabbed him in the shoulder. “What?” York asked before looking at Felix motioning with his head to the radar screen. The normal and orderly lines of trade ships coming in and out of the system now were scattering in all directions like insects when the lights turned on.
“Oh, well; sorry about that.” York remarked with a half laugh. Felix pinched his brow and sighed loudly before stepping forward.
“As you can see all primary systems are functioning and within operational standards. This vessel will become a primary deterrence to any and all aggressors while complimenting your military forces for any future engagements.”
He then proceeded over to Lingu and held up his own data pad. “This is our final offer; if you refuse we will take this vessel and seek new buyers.”
Seeing no other option Lingu looked back at the other delegates who were all nodding in unison. “Very well, we shall make the transfer now.”
Lingu pulled his data pad out once more and began entering in several keys. Felix’s pad beeped and he went over the information to confirm the transfer. When the device flashed green he gave the thumbs up to York who rose from the command throne.
“It has been a pleasure doing business with you gentlemen,” York began as he walked over and shook Lingu’s hand. Felix beside him was waving his hand in the air in a circle motion and the rest of the human crew began filing out into the turbo lift.
“Until we meet again, I wish you all a bright future.” York finished before turning in place and joining the other humans in the lift. The last Lingu saw of them was York’s smiling face while Felix was repeatedly pressing the close button on the turbo lift.
“This is York to all hands, the sale is complete so let’s get the hell out of hear.”
York started speaking into the communicator built into his collar the moment the turbo lift doors closed.
“You have twenty minutes to get back to the Cuttlefish; any later and you will be left behind.”
With that he terminated the communication and turned to Felix who was looking at him in disapproval.
“Why the hell is our ship name so stupid?” he asked as the other crew in the lift casually began looking anywhere else.
“Because it’s my ship and I wanted something cute.” York explained once again. “Any you don’t get to sass me now after you nearly cost us the deal.”
“I caught it in time.” Felix countered. “How was I to know the mess hall had a camera in it?”
“Furthermore, it was your idea to store all the bodies there; I wanted to dump them into space.”
“So you just wanted me to get rid of perfectly lootable bodies?” York scoffed.
The turbo lift finally came to a stop and no sooner had the doors opened wide enough was York and the rest of his crew sprinting out of the lift to their ship.
“We need to be off this ship before they find the bodies or battle damage.” Felix called out as the group skidded around a corner. “Blaster fire kinda puts holes in the whole atmospheric malfunction story.”
York grunted in reply but otherwise kept focusing on sprinting.
It was true that the atmospheric systems deactivated on the Scral warship, but only after York’s crew had snuck aboard, fought their way to the atmosphere control center and turned it off. The majority of the crew died once the breathable environment evaporated, but several dozen had been smart enough to put on vacuum suits and continue to hold key sections of the ship.
They had only eliminated the last batch of survivors on the bridge just before the traffic control station contacted them after they entered orbit. They then spent the three hours waiting for the delegation to arrive cleaning up the hallways leading between sections and repairing whatever battle damage they could while hiding the bodies out of sight.
Felix had wanted to dump them to be safe, until York pointed out their potential buyers would be suspicious seeing a couple dozen bodies begin ejected out an airlock.
Now with the sale completed the human crew needed to be off ship and out of system before the Scral realize that one of their warships was missing and came looking for it.
“Next time can we steal something smaller?” Felix gasped out after passing through the last airlock on to the Cuttlefish. “Like a safe? Like a normal bank safe filled with credits?”
“Always thinking so small, aye Felix?” York remarked as he ushered the rest of his following crew onboard. “You should be thinking how we can possibly outdo ourselves after this job.”
“But don’t worry,” York smiled as the last of his crew finally came onboard and the airlock began sealing, “I already have an idea or two.”

Midnight Pals: Moonland
Mira Grant: Submitted for the approval of the Midnight Society, I call this the tale of the super rich woman who bought the moon Grant: but it’s okay, it turns out she’s one of those nice super rich people Grant: who just wants to do whimsical things
Grant: but that’s all in the past Grant: that woman is a relic of a by-gone age of exploitative capitalism but now they realized that letting rich people buy moons might not be a good idea Grant: but they let this one moon sale stand Grant: you know, for fun
Grant: so in the future, this super rich woman builds an amusement park on the moon of Saturn Grant: but it’s earth moon themed Stephen King: what’s that mean? Grant: cheese Grant: lots and lots of cheese
Grant: so the moon amusement park exists in perpetuity Grant: luckily the rich woman left in her will that nothing bad can ever happen Clive Barker: how’s that work? Grant: oh you know Grant: lawyers wrote it down that nothing bad can ever happen Grant: pretty boilerplate stuff
Grant: so the descendants of the super rich woman are going to the amusement park Grant: but they’re just ordinary folks, you know, just like you and me! Grant: despite being scions of obscene moon-buying wealth
Grant: they might be super rich but they’re just like you and me Grant: just your average polyamorous bisexual commune Barker: oh damn! they ARE just like us
Grant: so the descendants go to the moon amusement park Grant: but, uh oh, someone tries to kidnap their kid! Grant: don’t worry, it doesn’t work Grant: so they all lived happily ever after Dean Koontz: phew! that had me worried

-llion Impressions? You're hired! | BKDK | Office AU | Part 1
Over the past five years, Izuku Midoriya has dedicated himself tirelessly, honing his skills in digital marketing with a single goal in mind: securing a position at BKG Co., one of Japan's premier luxury fashion companies. His ultimate dream? To join DYNAMIGHT, a subsidiary renowned for its affordable sports and active wear.
But why DYNAMIGHT specifically? Well, therein lies a reason his friends still tease him about—Katsuki Bakugou, the scion of this vast conglomerate, and the commanding figure at DYNAMIGHT. It was Bakugou who ignited Midoriya's interest in marketing, shaping his career trajectory. Yet, commendably, what began as a pursuit driven by admiration evolved into a genuine passion.
Midoriya adamantly denies any claims of being a stalker; rather, he simply yearns for the opportunity to collaborate closely with Bakugou, whose business acumen he greatly admires. They're peers in age, which Midoriya can't help but find unfair. But his motivations remain pure: professional admiration, and perhaps, just maybe, a slight crush.
Contrary to common perception, Katsuki Bakugou could easily be mistaken for the embodiment of Lucifer himself. If his personality were depicted on a pie chart, it would consist of 50% anger, 40% fury, and a mere 10% annoyance, with variations depending on the stupidity of the ideas presented to him.
Despite his formidable persona (bolstered by his impeccable appearance), Bakugou is fortunate that his company's key employees are his college comrades. Without them, resignation letters would flood in, spelling doom for him. His brainchild, DYNAMIGHT, is his pride and joy, a venture he fiercely contested with his mother. He desired a company aligned with his vision, passions, and hobbies. Though he admits to being born into privilege, Bakugou defends his involvement in DYNAMIGHT; he micromanages every aspect and credits its success not to his parents' wealth, but to the collective genius of those who endure his abrasive demeanor, including himself.
Keen on maintaining their upward trajectory in sales, Bakugou currently grapples with his mother's attempt to poach a valuable member of his marketing team, someone exceptionally adept at their role. With a resigned sigh, he dials Mina, one of his college confidants and head of the Marketing Department.
Barely concealing his exasperation, he greets her, "What took you so long to pick up?"
But Mina, seasoned by years of friendship and shared trials during DYNAMIGHT's inception, responds with a laugh, "Hey there, hot shot! You know I can't resist a Slack huddle call. Gets me grooving!"
"This is serious, Mina!" Bakugou retorts sharply. "Mom's trying to snatch Shinsou for her team. Shinsou!"
Undeterred, Mina quips, "Relax, she just needs him for three months. Besides, I've been thinking we could use an extra pair of hands. We're swamped."
Frustrated, Bakugou presses on, "This is news to me, Mina."
With a sigh, Mina explains, "Your mom's sudden request for Shinsou got me thinking. We've needed more help since the start of the year."
Grudgingly, Bakugou relents, "Fine, find someone as good as Shinsou, if not better."
"Got it, boss," Mina replies, before ending the call.
Being nearly online 24/7, Izuku maintains a religious habit of checking both his personal and work emails. So, when he opened his personal inbox, he noticed an unread email labeled "DYNAMIGHT." He had set up this filter to ensure that all alerts from DYNAMIGHT Careers would be directed there automatically.
His heart raced as he glimpsed the subject line:
DYNAMIGHT Careers | Hiring: Social Media Manager
Always staying a step, or even two steps, ahead, Izuku ensured his resume was consistently up-to-date. Without hesitation, he clicked on the email and promptly submitted his resume through the provided link.
Clasping his hands together, he whispered fervently, "This is it! Oh, please, let this be my chance. PLEASE. PLEASE. PLEASE. Consider me as a candidate. THIS is the company I've always dreamed of working for!"
This moment had been eagerly anticipated; he was prepared. He had the experience to back it up, ready to showcase the campaigns he'd spearheaded throughout his career. Manifesting that they would choose him, he yearned for the opportunity to finally meet his idol.
In just 12 hours, DYNAMIGHT's hiring team wasted no time in extending an interview invitation to Izuku. He couldn't contain his joy, almost on the verge of tears. After all, he was the mastermind behind the highly successful social media campaign for a cola featuring none other than Yagi Toshinori, the legendary actor renowned for his portrayal of All Might. It was a significant achievement, collaborating with his idol, and now, he had the opportunity to join the company he'd always dreamed of working for.
The company boasted excellent reviews, gathered meticulously over the years from platforms like Indeed and Glassdoor. A competitive salary package, paid time off, generous employee benefits, and a commitment to work-life balance were among the perks. However, a recurring complaint caught Izuku's attention in every review: "the salary and benefits compensate for the unpleasant demeanor of our boss." It raised a slight concern, but Izuku reasoned that he could endure any tirades if the compensation was right. Money was his primary motivator.
Upon receiving the interview invitation, Izuku promptly replied, confirming his availability for the scheduled interview slot, intending to request time off from his current job. Speaking of which, he hoped his colleagues Hatsume and Kendo would understand his decision to resign if he secured the position at DYNAMIGHT.

Please find my notes and thoughts on this Legacy Challenge HERE - it may be helpful to read that first!
Season One of the LovedaySims' Legacy Challenge has FIVE generations. Please find the first generation under the cut as an example.
Suggestions to start out:
No need to start from nothing, but try moving into a >$20,000 starter home using money your founder brought from their wealthy family. After buying the home, you should have no more than $1000 going forward.
You may want to make your founder’s parents along with your founder, since they will have the opportunity to be present in the legacy!
Whims-based gameplay is encouraged — if you’re not sure what to do next, follow your Sim’s whims!
You’ll want to play on a Long lifespan or have custom lifespans with MCCC!
Gen 1: A Different Kind of Magic
Born as the last scion to a powerful spellcasting family, you proved to be quite the “disappointment” when you were, by some twist of fate, born without magic. Cape Name: Almost Perfect/ Arthur Penlizard.
Visual: a tall, imposing figure in classically inspired 'knight's armor' (really just spray painted and stage propped combat armor Penlizard stole from a bunker, as the PRT refused to give him an original costume and wanted him to dress up as Dauntless) who looks like the perfect hero, but tends to be physically clumsy whenever danger isn't present.
Power: Trump 10/-1, Penlizard is almost the perfect hero, being able to Always Save Himself but never anyone else intentionally. Anyone he tries to save with his power by acting as a human shield dies, no matter what Penlizard tries to do or how indirectly he acts. This doesn't apply to him cleaning up dangerous rubble or hazards, however.
Role As A Hero: Penlizard is often sent into dangerous areas like old disaster zones that haven't been fully cleaned up yet to clean them. He lives a sad, lonely existence when he isn't filming PRT propaganda videos, most of which are shot alone in the irradiated ruins Arthur is cleaning to avoid having to pay for filming rights, with only cheaply built drones for other 'actors'. Almost Perfect's real power, identity, and operations are kept heavily secret, and he's used to film just about any death-defying stunt to get more funding and sales for the PRT. Penlizard has never and will never receive public recognition as a hero due to his fatal flaw screwing him over.
Final: "I want to be able to save myself." Arthur thought this just before his trigger, and to be fair to his Shard, Pyrrhus, he was given just what he asked for. He lives an almost perfect parody of a hero's life, doing dangerous, thankless work when he isn't spending hours doing mindless bullshit for an audience that will never know who he *really* is, and the pay sucks too, of course.
Arthur Penlizard, alias Almost Perfect, died during Golden Morning when Scion got bitchy about Arthur surviving three direct hits from his laser blasts, and whacked him with a bit of Load-Bearing Multiversal Wall, erasing him from the memory of everyone around him as the already quite damaged multiverse tried to course-correct from Scion giving it a bit of squishy red-pink wall decor and mostly succeeded.
I haven't read Ward, so I dunno if he'd show up or be mentioned there. Probably not. He's not the sort that gets remembered.
this is so cool!! ahh irony my beloved. and scion got bitchy because of course he did. thank you for sharing with the class ^_^

the adventures of royce everard, warrior of light continue! i am officially A Subscriber, thank you squenix for putting it on sale
we have a backstory now: royce was the captain of a dragoon unit that was wiped out in the chaos surrounding the calamity. ashamed of being the sole survivor, she exiled herself from ishgard and became a wanderer, helping others to atone for her failure to protect them.
[apparently one of the developers made an off-the-cuff comment about how there are only ten dragoons or something at any given time. we all agree that doesn't make sense, right? good. moving on]
that means all this chosen-one stuff with echoes and crystals would have come as a surprise, and not a welcome one. royce thinks it should've been someone younger, purer of heart, on a path yet undefined, unafraid of screwing it up. it probably makes her reticent to join the scions at first: fighting with others is a chance for history to repeat itself.
it also makes the coerthas quests deliciously uncomfortable, because royce left, and did not want to come back, and yet here she is. the locals aren't hostile to her because she's a foreigner, they're contemptuous because she's the captain who abandoned her post. she had neither the honor to die with her squad nor stay and debase herself, and that drives them to distraction. meanwhile, royce is too honor-bound not to help them. ugh.
anyway, enough OC rambling. what my friends said still rings true: the game really wants you to headcanon, and leaves ample room to do it. i'm far enough in the story now that raubahn calls royce "my friend," and i'm like, yes! they acknowledged the thing i made up! schrodinger's canon! let's do it!!
besides, i may have to wait until i play through heavensward to refine her more. there's not much about ishgard in the early game. i'm in no hurry. i'm enjoying the ul'dahn political intrigue as much as i thought i would. what a mess of a city. what an interesting place
i just. i. uh. hmm. how do i put this delicately. my mother taught me that if you can't say something nice, don't say anything
i wanna design an outfit for the sultana. my diminutive friend, the puffs! the ruffles! you have so many! i promise you don't need all of those!
literally cannot believe that one NPC who keeps lying to the authorities about having fought primals. the one with the chocobo face tattoo? what is this game. it serves me gut-wrenching tragedy and this dude in the same breath. you can't get cuisíne like this from any other restaurant
gee bill, how come your mom lets you use two dyes? i hope the upcoming change lets me dye royce's armor the way i want it to. i have my eye on a certain set, but the current dye system leaves the trim this weird shade of brown, which is the thing i wanted to recolor in the first place

Buy Quality Used Transmissions
Used Transmissions - Great Condition and Affordable

Character: G'raha Tia & Keith Summers Expansion: Endwalker Rating: G Notes: N/A
Tumblr media
The scent of chocolate seemed to fill every corner of the Annex, from the front reception desk all the way to the back apartments. Yet the aroma was not alone, much to one Scion Miqo’te’s particular annoyance. Peppermint had been mingled in with it, naturally toxic to his kind. Just the scent twisted his stomach.
A bandana over his face, he entered the kitchens of the annex, eyes narrowing at his husband before widening. Every surface was covered in baking sheets, filled with chocolate and bits of candy-canes. He backed against the wall, bewildered, meeting Keith’s face as he noticed the other had joined him.
“Oh! Hey! Looks pretty great doesn’t it,” Keith called out, setting down a fresh tray.
“Great!? Deadly! What on Ethyris possessed you to do this!?”
Keith jumped, surprised at the other’s anger. “Krile asked me to help her with a bake sale to raise more funds for the Annex! What do you mean deadly?”
G’raha pinched the bridge of his nose through his mask and shook his head. “Keith, we are very well funded. Not to mention many Miqo’te and Hrothgar cannot have peppermint as it is incredibly toxic to us. How could you possibly think she was serious?”
“I don’t know. I was just hanging around in the study and kinda humming while tossing papers into the trash can…and then Krile had this big job for me and- she was tricking me.”
“Yes, she was tricking you.”
Keith sighed, and despite G’raha’s mild annoyance the Miqo’te did too, laughing as he came over to give the other a warm hug, not risking a kiss.
“I love you,” G’raha hummed.
“I love you too. Wanna help me-”
“Absolutely not. Clean this up and take it to the Last Stand.”

WoLstinien Week 2024 :: Day 2 :: Colors
Tumblr media
Art was never much of Estinien's forte...but he knows that Nomin enjoys painting, and he enjoys when she is happy. Traversing the stalls of Radz-at-Han, Estinien figures the most colorful city he knows must have the most amount of colors that could possibly be turned into paints for sale. Right?
Word Count: 1,191
Tumblr media
Being in the market was a dangerous thing. Perhaps a far fiercer foe than that of slaying dragons. Especially when the end result could have a chance encounter with either a disappointed wife, or the rather fearsome coincounter of the former Scions of the Seventh Dawn. Though one of them was far scarier a prospect over the other, Estinien persisted down the colorful market stalls of Radz-at-Han.
Estinien had a goal in mind, and with that goal in mind, he did his best to weave through the streets and the people to reach it. He passed stall after stall; those that were selling spices and herbs, those that were selling alchemical wares, those that were selling fabrics, those that were selling jewels and ores. There was just about everything under the sun that he could picture anyone needing or wanting. However, he continued to pass them until he finally got to that one stall.
Upon the display of the stall were various jars, all containing different colors of paints and dyes that one could ever dream of. If there was anything Estinien took note of while traversing the streets of Radz-at-Han aside from the rich foods he often partook in while in the employ of Vrtra, it was the colors. All these colors had to come from somewhere…
“A good day to you, sir! Let me know if anything catches your eye,” chirped a cheerful auri man. A smile spread across his face, and he then pointed out some of the jars to the left of Estinien. “These ones were recently made with some materials only found in Nagxia. Look how brilliant the hues are!”
Estinien did as requested, picking up the glass jar. Indeed, the color was rich, but he had no real eye for them like his wife did. His brow knit together as he looked the color over, doing his best to remember if Nomin had it within her plethora of paints and materials.
“... I require rare colors. What do you have to offer?” Estinien asked, placing the jar back down where he found it.
“Aside from the one you were just holding?” The auri merchant brought a hand to his chin, his fingers brushing along his scales as he thought about it. Leaning down, the sounds of clinking glass bottles were heard, and Estinien simply waited.
One by one, the auri merchant lined up more bottles of paint. They were all colors Estinien knew in some variety or another.
Did Nomin have them?
Estinien tried to recall her paint sets back at the cabin. His lips thinned into a frown as he thought about it. Her canvases had a myriad of colors, some that she simply applied as is, and some she mixed together to make something else she needed to bring more life to her subject. So what was there?
“Is…everything alright, sir?” The merchant noticed the soured look on Estinien’s face.
A sigh fell from Estinien’s nose as he then gathered his thoughts. He kept his words to the point: “... I would defer recommendations to you on what I should get. These paints are for someone else more skilled than I'd ever be in using them.”
“A gift set, then?” The merchant perked up, the telltale flick of his tail curving upwards being something Estinien took note of for genuine elation. Watching Nomin carefully taught him some of the signs to look for.
“Aye, that would be the way of it,” Estinien replied.
A neat wooden box was brought up onto the stall surface as the merchant organized everything. Estinien looked down at the box -- he counted eighteen empty slots. Were so many necessary? He supposed he did say he would trust the merchant with the paints.
A moment passed, and soon, all of the eighteen slots of the box were filled up. Each brass cap lid had a small swath of paint on top to show what color was inside. Glancing at each of them, there were certainly far more vibrant colors than Estinien thought possible, darker colors that would have saved Nomin the trouble of mixing her paint, and some colors he thought were simply common.
Reaching for his gil pouch, Estinien soon placed the sack on the stall counter. There was only a mere moment of hesitation before he asked: “Will this cover the costs?”
The merchant looked at the sack and then up at Estinien. A wide grin spread across his face. “Why sir, this is more than enough to cover it all! Shall I wrap everything?”
“Do what you will.” Estinien brought up a hand, waving almost dismissively in response to the question.
Estinien waited a couple minutes, and the merchant offered the wrapped box of paints to him along with some change from the transaction. Nodding in acknowledgment, Estinien muttered a simple ‘my thanks’ before putting the gil away and taking up the box. He opted to hold the box, ensuring that it would not be rustled nor jostled into potentially cracking any of the jars before he walked to a less busy area.
Taking in a breath, Estinien held the image of the island sanctuary in his mind, his aether responding in kind before he felt the warmth of being whisked away into the aetherstream and having his being transported back to the island. Once the soles of his boots gave way into the white sands of the familiar beach, he looked around to get his bearings straight before walking up the pathways that led to his and Nomin’s cabin.
Unlike it being noon in Radz-at-Han, morning had barely even broken when Estinien returned. He walked past the late night working mammets, ignoring any of their whirrs or greetings. Thankfully, he had gotten much better at that rather than wanting to give in to the urge to dismantle any of them in a primitive fashion.
Quieting his steps when he got up to the porch of the cabin, Estinien had taken note of how all the windows were still dark. That must have meant Nomin was still asleep within. He kept all his movements and actions quiet. This would have been the first time he had been back in the last couple months since leaving to help train Vrtra’s Radiant Host for some extra gil.
Ascending the stairs and walking toward his and Nomin’s room quietly, Estinien opened the door to their bedroom to peek in. As he suspected: Nomin was fast asleep. Walking in, he did his best to keep as quiet as he could, though the slight twitch of Nomin’s tail under the sheets caught his eye. Even in the dim lighting that the morning skies filtering in through the windows offered, he noticed that slight movement.
Estinien watched Nomin carefully, listening for any change in her breathing before proceeding to place the box on the bedside drawer next to her. Once it was placed, he looked down at Nomin, a soft smile spreading across his lips once he took in her peaceful looking visage. Leaning in, he planted a small kiss upon her head.
“I’m home,” Estinien quietly said. “Just in time for your nameday.”

ROUND 2 / SIDE B / POLL 1
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Zee Zalinos (@zeloinator) v. El Shizuka (@bounusstage)
Zee Zalinos:
q. What is your WoL name and pronouns? a. Zee Zalinos she/her
q. What is your WoL's species? a. Au’ra
q. What is your WoL's class? Or classes? a. WHM/AST Healer Main
q. What data centre/server are you on, if you want people to find you? a. Aether/Faerie
q. Tell us a bit about your WoL! a. Zee has always wanted to travel, I dont have much lore for her early life yet but once she had decided to travel to Gridania and become a Conjurer no one and nothing could stop her. (/spoilers for all expansions, as well as tw for losing limbs, sudden disabilities) In Heavensward she lost both Haurchefaunt, a companion she didn't trust until he gave his life for her, and her right leg. Not able to slow down she forced herself to learn to walk with her new prosthetic leg and continued her path through Stormblood. As a White Mage Zee never felt like she could discuss her crippling pain and phantom limb symptoms from her lost leg, it wasn’t until mid Shadowbringers, after long talks with Ardbert (or scoldings as he would describe it as) she finally told her companions, the scions and her trusted friends, about her struggles with her leg. At the end of Endwalker Zenos manages to injure Zee much more severely than it appears at first, the quick and panicked healing magics Zee performed on herself masking the severity for some time. It is not long until Zee looses her left arm, gaining her second prosthetic limb, but doing much better in dealing with its loss. Zee is a pure healer, though an extremely aggressive one, every other class she attempts is lacking the same touch and skill, no matter how much time she may commit to learning. Healing comes as easy as a breath to Zee, White magic being the simplest for her to wield. The stars and planet gazing of Astrologian winning her over very quickly after arriving in Ishguard. Though in her free time Zee is known to be an expert crafter, often holing herself inside her house and focusing purely on her work for days. Culinarian was the fastest for her to pick up, with Goldsmith being hot on its heels as her second best skill. Though post Endwalker Zee is ever busy with crafting, the call of her island from Tataru has her visiting as often as she can sneak away. While on her island Zee barely, if ever, uses her prosthetic arm, only using the prosthetic leg when she is wanting more maneuvering freedom without one of her beloved mounts out helping her. One of Zee’s most hidden passions is her animal caretaking. While her Chocobo, Ariadnae, is ever a worrier for Zee, the wol is always forcing her beloved bird to rest in between their big adventures.
q. Why should YOU win? (Answer IC!) a. Well, as your beloved and hard working healer I feel like a little recognition in a win would be nice! (Don’t look at what I’m casting Glare 3 is a Healing spell!)
El Shizuka:
q. What is your WoL name and pronouns? a. El Shizuka, He/They
q. What is your WoL's species? a. Xaela Au'ra
q. What is your WoL's class? Or classes? a. A malicious healer mostly, but will fill any role.
q. What data centre/server are you on, if you want people to find you? a. Crystal, Diabolos
q. Tell us a bit about your WoL! a. They were adopted by a merchant couple who lived in Doma. The couple were able to flee to Kugane during the occupation and and on the way, found El and his siblings. Quite how they ended up so far from home was another question, but one the couple didn't dwell on too long before they took the children in. As things grew more dire and business become slimmer, El decided to embark on a journey to help make ends meet as an adventurer. While El's siblings were content to help with the family business, El found themselves rather inept in the sales department. Indeed, they often caused more trouble than anything. He was charming at first sure, but protective to a fault. Strong willed and accustomed to the slimy nature of swindlers and thieves, El often found himself causing an uproar in the streets if he sensed anything or noticed something was amiss. If he wasn't giving someone hell by messing with them, he was definitely caught in a physical altercation with someone brazen enough to try and take from them. It did occur to El that some took out of necessity. But with their own family struggling to make ends meet, he couldn't just turn a blind eye. Indeed, it was well known not to attempt to steal from the Shizuka family stalls. Not unless the only thing they wanted to walk away with was a black eye or a missing tooth. Perhaps even both. Unfortunately, this did nothing for business and as such, El was relegated to more… behind the scenes duties. Perhaps for the best. Still, as things became harder El wanted to lend a hand anyway he could. Seeking a means to render aid some other way, he heard tell of brave souls who ventured into the unknown, who would come back with bags of gil in hand. Being the adventurous sort himself, El made it their mission to set a course for that adventuring life he's heard so much about. Though their family was unsure of the idea at first, he assured everyone he'd be fine. The merchant couple couldn't deny their son's ability to hold his own. After all, it was he and their eldest that often kept food on the table as hunters. Not to mention the myriad confrontations their wayward son had gotten themselves into. Though adventuring was lucrative work, it was unarguably dangerous too, but El promised his family he'd make it home with piles of gil in hand and then some. He never told anyone about his visions though, and that part of the reason he set out was to find some answers. Though he never gave them much thought, and even used it to his advantage at times, there was an undeniable pull. A call to arms so to speak. At least, that was what it felt like to El. They had no other way to describe it, and nobody at home to talk to about it. But perhaps, out there in the unknown, he may find someone who understood.
q. Why should YOU win? (Answer IC!) a. El shrugs with a weak smile across his face. "In truth, I but joined for the fun of it.." He said with a flick of his tail. "But for the pity points, I have a family to feed." Said El, their smile widening. Though it was a bright expression indeed, there seemed to be a touch of insincerity in it. "My parents are but humble merchants in their twilight years after all." El said, hand over his heart while his half lidded eyes found their focus on the ground at his feet. "All I want is to come home to them with enough gil that they may rest easy." He finished, laying on the drama as he spoke.
q. Anything else you wanna add? a. This is the most I've ever thought about El's backstory. but I loff him i do i swaer. biig lizards good. ; Q;

On the 1st of June, sixteen years ago, Lara Croft Tomb Raider: Anniversary was released in Europe for Microsoft Windows and PlayStation 2.
Anniversary is a remake of the first Tomb Raider game, originally released in 1996.
Tumblr media
Taking place before the events of 2006's Tomb Raider: Legend, Anniversary follows series protagonist Lara Croft's quest for the Scion of Atlantis. Gameplay features Lara navigating linear levels, fighting enemies and solving puzzles to progress.
Following the completion of Legend, Crystal Dynamics began developing Anniversary. Using the Legend engine, the team rebuilt the gameplay and levels, and series cocreator Toby Gard expanded the narrative. Composer Troels Brun Folmann remade and added to the music using an orchestral style.
Upon release, Anniversary received generally positive reviews from critics who deemed it a worthy remake of the original game, though some criticism was aimed at the game's graphics and occasional technical issues. While it reached high positions in sales charts, the game would become the worst selling entry in the franchise, selling just 1.3 million copies worldwide compared to the original game's 7 million.
