Usagi Arrival

Living in an usagi minka, you have to always watch out for bunnies. They are timid, and often hard to find.

This week though, braving the typhoon and with a hand written note, this little fellow made his way to our minka - all the way from Gallery Morita in Kyushu.

We are planning his new home, in the tsubo-niwa next to the reformed little naya. A tsubo-niwa is small courtyard garden between, or inside a building.

My Top 10 Favorite Anime ships

(Canon and Non)

1. Gajeel Redfox and Levy McGarden

My love for them knows no boundaries and Fairy Tail really did do their character growth justice. I MEAN Gajeels happiness is literally Levy! The speech he gave as he was basically dying said everything about his love for her and how he has become a better man because of it!

2. Usagi Tsukino and Mamoru Chiba

From the first anime I ever watched. I have loved this pairing ever since my 5 year old eyes laid its sight on them. They are such a supportive and loving couple that were literally destined in two lifetimes to be together. Usagi may be a whiney cry baby, but Mamoru wouldn’t have her any other way.

3. Edward Elric and Winry Rockbell

Constantly rewatching FMAB for these two. Winry is absolutely perfect for Ed because she keeps both him and Al grounded. Their childhood bond has transformed into this mutual relationship of love, respect, and worrying over one another. I love that they aid eachother on their separate journey’s with zero questions asked. They truly are meant to be.

4. Haruhi Suzumiya and Kyon

This one isn’t necessarily cannon, but I ship it all the same. Kyon was the first person to really try and get to know Haruhi. Even though other’s see her as a psychotic nutball, he sticks with her through all the SOS Brigade antics. They have a totally unique dynamic that is so fantastic to watch in each episode.

5. Mai Taniyama and Kazuya Shibuya (aka Naru)

From the series Ghost Hunt. This series isn’t popular or even well known. Mai and Naru’s relationship starts with Mai giving him the nickname Naru due to his narcissistic nature. Throughout the series you can see how their interactions impact eachothers behavior. No one is treated like how Naru treats Mai. There is a form of compassion in the little things he does. 6. Eijirou Kirishima and Katsuki Bakugo

Hear me out. I know that these two are shipped with a lot of different people and are in NO WAY confirmed canon in Kiribaku. But for some reason I love their friendship so much that I could eventually see them dating. Bakugo doesn’t treat Kirishima with the same off-handedness he does everyone else. Especially after the Kamino incident he paid Kirishima back for those expensive nightvision goggles he bought. Midoriya even said that Kirishima had built up a relationship with him that no one else there had. I truly would enjoy the idea of them being a couple, but I won’t hate on any ship that may become canon in the future because both of them deserve love.

7. Tohru Honda and Kyo Sohma

Kyo Sohma is such an amazing character and I freaking love their love with all of my heart. He is so protective over her and she is the same with him. The way he gets flustered around her is so darn cute. How he cares for her when she’s sick and ESPECIALLY after the true form incident just solidified their feelings towards eachother. Not necessarily that they were in love, but there was a mutual  fondness that only seems to be growing. I will protect them with all of my heart and soul.

8. Daisuke Niwa and Riku Harada

Another anime that doesn’t get talked about as frequently- DN Angel. This is such a cute anime. Daisuke is originally in love with Riku’s twin sister, but it soon fades as he starts spending more time with Riku. Her tough exterior mixed with his shy and awkward one is sooo funny and I just can’t get enough.

9. Shizuo Heiwajima and Izaya Orihara

Don’t get me wrong, just by the GIF above this relationship is totally twisted. But my absolute favorite character is Shizuo and for some reason their sheer hatred switched to sexual tension in my mind and I can totally get behind the idea of these two crazies together. While I LOVE Celty and Shinra. There is just something about these two that get me going (in a non-sexual way).

10. Korra and Asami Sato

Korra and Asami are so fantastic and their love story is unique. First off, they DATED THE SAME GUY. At the end of the series they take a vacation to the spirit world together and give into their feelings, both understanding that the situation they had infront of them took president and that they would get to their feelings eventually. When they return from their vacation, they had become offical and shared their first kiss. Breaking it to Mako (their ex boyfriend) was such a touching scene and even better when he is supportive.

Miraculous Juuni Fun Facts.

While the Ladybug, Black Cat, Butterfly/Moth, Peacock, Fox, Turtle, and Bee are still referred to as Miraculous, the Magical Objects of the Chinise Zodic are referred to as the Juuni. (In this Story).

Marinette and Adrien still get the Ladybug and Black Cat Miraculous respectively.

For those reading this who do know the Juuni Taisen Media, the 12 Warrior’s given names will be their civilian ids while their Warrior Names will be their Hero Names. 

Eiji Kashii holds the Juuni of the Ox, his Kwami is Stompp. His special skill is called "Goboken", it allows him to cut through any object. Hero name: Ushii.

Kanae Aira holds the Juuni of the Tiger, her Kwami is Roaar. Her special skill is called “Eye of the Tiger”, it allows her to become invincible for five minutes. Hero name: Tora.

Usagi (who’s civilian name will be Nanashi Yuuki) holds the Juuni of the Rabbit, his Kwami is Fluff.  His special skill is called "Time & Time", it allows him to create portals through time and can use the special skill-set of any well known person from the past. Hero name: Usagi. (To those who know the Juuni Taisen media, sorry but Usagi’s not going to have his abilities from the canon because there’s really no way to make that pg and he is NOT going to be wearing his canon outfit either).

Nagayuki Tsumita holds the Juuni of the Dragon, his Kwami is Longg. His special skill is called "Heaven’s Holding", it allows him to control the local weather and fly through the air. Hero name: Tatsumi Kyoudai Ani.

Takeyasu Tsumita hold the Juuni of the Snake, his Kwami is Sass. His special skill is called "Earth’s Guidance", it allows him to feeling vibrations emitted from any form of ground or surface. Hero name: Tatsumi Kyoudai Otouto.

Yoshimi Souma holds the Juuni of the Horse, his Kwami is Kaalki. His special skill is called “Stirrup”, it allows him to increase the toughness of his body and turning him into a living shield. Hero name: Uuma.

Sumihiko Tsujiie holds the Juuni of the Sheep, his Kwami is Ziggy. His special skill is called “Shuukaiokuri”, it allows him to create granades out of objects (the size of the object determined the force of the explosion). Hero name: Hitsujii.

Misaki Yuuki holds the Juuni of the Monkey, her Kwami is Xuppu. Her special skill is “Elemental Shift”, it allows her to control the properties of solid elements. Hero name: Sharyū.

Ryouka Niwa holds the Juuni of the Rooster, her Kwami is Orikko. Her special skill is called “Eye of the Cormorant”, it allows her to commune with any kind of birds, sees through their eyes, and even command them. Hero name: Niwatori.

Michio Tsukui holds the Juuni of the Dog, his Kwami is Barrk. His special skill is called “Mad Dog’s Vise”, it allows him to create and inject any type of venom through his fangs. Hero name: Dotsuku.

Toshiko Inou holds the Juuni of the Boar, her Kwami is Daizzi. Her special skill is called “Non-Reload”, it allows her to have unlimited ammunition for any weapon she has in her hands. Hero name: Inounoshishi

Tsugiyoshi Sumino holds the Juuni of the Rat, his Kwami is Mullo. His special skill is called “Multitude”, is allows him to create copies of himself, the more clones he creates the smaller he and the clones get. Hero name: Nezumi.

This story take place in Tokyo, Japan rather than Paris, France.

The Miracuclass has Sumihiko Tsujiie as their teacher rather than Miss Bustier (no offence to her, but her kind of teaching isn’t going to work in Japanese schools).

Marinette and Tsugiyoshi have known each other since they were in daipers and they have a very sibling-like relationship.

Alya and Ryouka are a part of the Dupont journalism club.

Adrien learns how to be more assertive and stands up for himself when he somehow becomes friends with Kanae. (Aka, Adrien grows a spine).

Chloe starts her redemption early because the Miracuclass somewhat forces Chloe to participate in class activities and actually do her assigned tasks. She also somehow becomes friends with the Tsumita Twins.

Sabrina learns to become less dependant for the same reason as Chloe’s redemption, but they more or less try to make her make her own decisions.

Adrien has a massive crush on both Ladybug and Marinette, while Marinette has a small crush on Ushii. Eiji has a crush on Kanae, but she doesn’t reciprocate.

Yoshimi Souma works at Dupont as the school medic and kendo club adviser. He is also Kagami’s uncle (her mother’s older brother).

Misaki and Nanashi are sibling in this.

The Juuni can create “younger siblings” to help aid in endeavours, they tend to have the less powerful version of the Juuni’s skills. These “younger siblings” don’t have Kwamis.

Dupont is up-to-date with it’s security system, and the staff take their jobs seriously (meaning we have a competent Mr Damocles in this!).

Toshiko is not a member of the Miracuclass, but her class and the Miracuclass tend to hang out outside school on occasions. She has also been trying to recruit Marinette to the Fashion Club, but the bluette has politely declined because she sometimes helps out her parents in their bakery. Toshiko has also been trying to steal Tsugiyoshi away from the Miracuclass, but like with Marinette, she’s also failed at that (not to mention Toshiko makes Tsugiyoshi VERY uncomfortable).

Eiji, Max, Marinette, Alix, Adrien, and Misaki are the top scorers grade-wise of the Miracuclass. Tsugiyoshi would be apart of that group if he didn’t purposefully get B+s.

Summer = slice of life (/^▽^)/

Hiiii!! So, I had done something similar two years ago and I’m still the type that associates summer with slice of life animes or manga. :D 

As it happens, I will probably not have the time to tackle anything this year because I’m super busy (...though I’m currently catching up with Barakamon the manga because I never did after watching the anime xD), but if anyone else is like me, please check the following list if you’re looking for recommendation fitting the Summer season!

About The Characters For The Normal AU

The first chapter for the Fanfiction is still in the works but I am here to tell you what the characters are without any powers and what they do for a living.

Nezumi: A highschool student (obviously). Mostly he likes to stay home in his room, he is either on his phone or sleeping. Mostly sleeps after he gets home from school and will force himself to get out of bed for school, dinner, or whenever he feel like going out. He has Chronic fatigue syndrome (just to replace his ability).

Ushii: A man who works at a shop that had been passed down by his father. He works at a weapon shop that basically sells antique swords, daggers, or other bladed weapons. His store is doing a good business and isn't advertised on television because Ushii treats all the weapons in his store with care. Whenever he feels hungry, he will go to a restaurant that has the best dishes and pastries although he doesn't care for desserts.

Tora: Works at her family dojo and is the instructor to her students. No one can beat her, especially not when she's drinking. Ever since she met Ushii, she began to have a crush admire him because he knows how to make the right choices in his life. She likes to hang out with Sharyu and the other ladies, Sharyu's restaurant offers alcohol.

Usagi: He was born with a mental illness and had to be put in a asylum, although people who knew this man are shocked to see him out because he proved that he can be stable. Despite being ill, Usagi can function on his own even living but lives with his older sister just because he doesn't want to be lonely. (I am going to have made up characters in this fanfic.) He likes to hang out inside Sharyu's restaurant because he have a crush on her even though she have a boyfriend.

Dragon: (I'm sorry! I love crack shipping too much!) He is Sharyu's boyfriend (I know that she has a boyfriend in the anime but I want to put Dragon in.) He and his brother works in her restaurant during the day, they get to eat for free when it's lunchtime. When it's nighttime, he and his brother go on heists and steal whatever they can get for money, even working for dangerous people who they steal afterwards. His brother often joke about Dragon getting married to his girlfriend but he doesn't want marriage, just a relationship.

Snake: He will sometime make people feel sorry for him, such as believing his lies to get money or steal things when they aren't looking. Whenever he doesn't work in the restaurant, he works at the pet shop taking care of reptiles, he even steals some to keep as pets but his followers don't know that. Although if he find the reptiles in cages dead, he will take their corpses and eats them. He likes to go to casinos when he have free time, he wins a lot but if he loses all his money he had won, he will go home and start to whine, which is bad for his older brother to hear.

Uuma: He works as a carpenter, lifting heavy objects and help repair people's homes, and will build houses. He used to be a office worker but since his body grown physically, he quit his job because he is struggling in a small space like that. (Imagine a giant fumbling with little things.) He is being stalked by a woman who loves him ever since she laid her eyes on him, he is flattered but thinks it's too stressful.

Hitsujii: A veteran who fought in a war but is now a grandpa living with his wife in their traditional Japanese house. He likes it whenever his grandson visits him and together they play games on their portable game consoles or on the big tv. He is the first place in the game leadership board, no one can beat him and others are surprise to see that it is him.

Sharyu: She inherited her family's restaurant and was the only worker there until Dragon and Snake are hired to work there. She almost broke up with him when she founded out that he and his brother steal for money, even wanting to fire those two but found out that they used the stolen money to help those who needs it. She is happy to see that and loves Dragon even more, and is thinking about marriage for being with him for a considerable time. She denotes clothes, foods, and other things to people from parts around the world who are in need. Sharyu can make friends with anybody and she is like sister figure to Nezumi.

Niwatori: Do a lot of jobs but mostly steal important informations about the companies before quitting her jobs. The Niwa family owns a lot of onsen that are very popular but is a bit expensive, only those who are acquainted with the family can go in for free. Niwatori only trust Sharyu, Tora, and Inonoshishi because they are women. She can whistle a bird tone that will attract all the birds in the area, be lucky that she doesn't get mad and throw bird seeds at you, or else you'll be pecked by hungry birds. (Fear of birds for those being pecked.)

Dokku: His old job is human trafficking and selling others to slave owners but that all changes when he took back a little girl from a pedophile, he takes her in as his daughter. He quits his job and became a daycare worker, just to set a good example for his adopted child. He also have an old friend living with him and together they raised the little girl, and the child thinks of them as mommy and daddy.

Inonoshishi: She is that rich stuck up person living in luxury because of how rich her family is. She have countless of lovers and wants more despite being in relationships. She is envious of her little sister for being the center of the attention, wanting to get her out of the picture but can't find the right moment. (Lol.) She is a tsundere, which explains why she hangs out with Niwatori and Tora, even Sharyu.

Extras.

Duodecuple: A mysterious man who owns a bookstore. (Think of it as the ones where it is dark and filled with mysterious things. No magic of course or curses.) He likes sweet. (He strikes me as someone who enjoys it.) He will give good advices to those who enters his store, such as problems with relationships, family issues, life problems, and people who wants to kill themselves.

Navi: (I like this guy, even though I don't know much about him.) He works as the assistance for Duodecuple's store and will sometime bumps into people or things if he is carrying stacks of books, he usually cleans if there isn't anything to do.

I'm thinking about including the Western Zodiac to this story. Please don't hate me for pairing Sharyu and Dragon, I simply let my imagination run wild.

The happy, sort-of-slice-of-life AU that nobody asked for.

Under the cut in case of inadvertent spoilers (from having some details mirror things that occur in canon). Also, I couldn't find an AU role for all the characters (specifically Hitsuji, Snake, Dragon, Uuma and Usagi so if anyone wants to join me in the fun and suggest how they'd fit in then feel free to lol)

The story here centres around Misaki Yuki, a young woman from a wealthy, well respected family that's been around for generations. Her parents died when she was a baby, and she's been brought up by both her grandparents and a great uncle. As she's the only grand-child, she's basically been given the most ridiculously comprehensive, expensive education (fancy academic private school, all sorts of tutors for activites ranging from combat techniques to flower arranging) and also indulged ridiculously-she literally wants for nothing. But the upbringing is a good one, and she is happy/loved/popular, and she grows up into a likeable person with a strong moral compass. Though it shocks her guardians when she initially announces she's going into peace activism, and in truth they'd hoped that as the heir she'd take on some of their military enterprises, they figure that being who she is that the path she's chosen is the right one for her, and so they have no qualms with it. She spends a lot of time both on the front lines and behind the scenes in her job as a peace activist, and progresses up ranks quite quickly, and becomes fairly well known. And though many dislike her for halting wars, even more hail her as a hero.

One thing she didn't entirely expect was that she'd encounter Toshiko Ino very often in her work. Sure, the Ino family was a lot like hers, a long standing one with military connections, but even so. Misaki's never got along with Toshiko, being some years younger than her, but was childhood friends with the younger Ino sister, Kiyoko, who died in high school. Toshiko, for her part, finds Misaki meddlesome and annoying, but apart from snide comments, she's never done too much to her because of their families' connection. And now they see each other more often as adults, they both try to stay as far away from each other as possible. For the most part, it works.

Misaki does meet all sorts of interesting personalities in the course of her work, and none more interesting than Eiji Kashii and Kanae Aira. Eiji is a legend in the military, often known as the 'Genius' or the 'Natural Born Killer'. Someone like that, Misaki expected to be ruthless and the type to take pleasure in killing. The person she encountered was wise, careful and had a good sense of what was right and wrong, even if in some senses his definition of those things differed to hers. She ended up having an interesting debate with him the first time they meet, and though she doesn't manage to change his stance on warfare by the time they part, a mutual business-like interest has been established between them, and every so often when he has some downtime and is in the country, he breaks his reclusive streak to have dinner with Misaki in a fancy restaurant. They talk all sorts of matters, though nothing personal at all, so Misaki never learns what, exactly, Kanae is to Eiji. Someone important for sure-he seems to care for her and she seems to be his other exception to his reclusive streak, but beyond that, nothing. Kanae herself, the few times Misaki meets her, doesn't offer anything though her alcohol-soaked mind makes her more talkative and uninhibited. All Misaki knows of her is that she is a fighter who took up alcohol to stop her from being haunted by the horrors of the battlefield, and she hasn't been able to change Kanae's mind, either. Still, though they are not friends or anything like that, Misaki does look forward to these very sporadic dinners.

Back home, life is mostly ordinary. She meets her boyfriend (since he doesn't have a name in canon, let's just call him Rin) in fairly ordinary circumstances (while shopping for baking supplies), and they hit it off fairly quickly, though since they're both careful and sensible they wait until they've been together a year before moving in together into a very nice apartment with a great view. Though well off himself, Rin, a computer programmer,  is decidedly more ordinary/ has had a more mundane life than Misaki has, and so he has a little trouble adjusting to being a part of Misaki's colourful life. He also struggles with the image so many people have of her being a hero, though he admires what she does and doesn't try to stop her (even if he constantly worries). Rin does manage to reconcile his understanding of her with all this though, and really becomes her rock when she comes home after a failure ((He even meets Eiji one time though honestly the guy gave him nightmares for a week straight)). Basically, Rin and Misaki are perfect for each other.

In all truth and honesty though, the really weird part of their life together is decidedly a part of the more domestic side. Specifically, the two teens that the two of them somehow end up taking in: -The first is Tsugiyoshi Sumino, who is fifteen at the time. Misaki finds him asleep in the entranceway to the building her apartment is part of one morning in the summer holidays. She wakes him gently, and thinking that he's homeless or something, invites him up to feed him breakfast. Rin is surprised to see an unexpected guest and is a bit sceptical as to why an otherwise healthy, clean looking teen would fall asleep there like that, but Misaki overrides his concerns and makes breakfast for Tsugiyoshi, and proceeds to question him until she finds out his name and his circumstances. It turns out he has a home, but he's alone there, and always has been. He falls asleep a lot because he has a sleeping disorder of some sort (he doesn't explain it very well), and essentially has nobody in his life. And upon hearing that, Misaki decides to change that. Rin draws the line at Tsugiyoshi living with them and Misaki agrees, given he does have a home he seems happy with, but in every other way she tries to be the adult guidance that Tsugiyoshi has never had. And, sleepy, slightly apathetic, introverted teen he is, he pretends to resist but secretly likes it, and he blossoms visibly under the attention. He's a regular fixture in the apartment-other visitors will often be greeted with the sight of Tsugiyoshi sleeping on the sofa, eating cheese while playing smartphone games, attempting homework at the kitchen table or helping Rin or Misaki with chores.

-It is Tsugiyoshi who brings in Ryoka Niwa, a severely abused street girl who seems a few years older than him, though her exact age is never made clear. He finds her foraging in bins around the corner from the supermarket one evening as he picks up things Rin asked him to buy on his way to them. For reasons known only to him, he brings her to them with little explanation, whereupon he decides to flop on the sofa and sleep, leaving them in an awkward situation. Misaki is the first to recover, apologising on Tsugiyoshi's behalf, and trying to get a sense of who Ryoka is and where she came from. The girl reveals her name, but is too skittish and afraid to reveal more, and eventually Misaki just cleans her up and patches up her injuries, and they give her a meal. Ryoka seems to relax a little, but the moment Rin and Misaki's backs are turned she bolts out of there. But, the next evening, she comes back, and next evening, and the one after that, always bolting after a while and occasionally lashing out, apparently overwhelmed by the kindness. But each time she comes, she stays a little longer, and each time, she seems a little more relaxed. Eventually, she reveals snippets of her frankly horrific background, and eventually, Rin and Misaki end up having a talk and deciding that she has to live with them. So, she does. Given she's not used to a normal family life, there are a lot of problems at first, but she settles in eventually and just as Tsugiyoshi blossomed under Misaki and Rin's guidance, so does she, though in her case it's more like they redo her childhood with her for her so she learns to be a part of the world again. She befriends Tsugiyoshi too, forming a particular attachment to him because of how he found her.

But anyway, time goes by. Tsugiyoshi graduates from high school and drifts from job to job before finding what is apparently his dream job at a cheesemakers' while Ryoka, attending adult learning classes in lieu of school, eventually goes onto university and pursues a high-flying business career, and in the process discovers a love of hot springs and makes it her life's goal to visit every single one in Japan before she dies.  She pursues lot of problematic romances before eventually settling down, while Tsugiyoshi doesn't even seem to care about that kind of thing, and both are aware of Misaki's low-key hope they get together but cheerily ignore it. As for Misaki and Rin (very proud of their two little ducklings, as they often think of them as), they do eventually get married, and have a few kids of their own (two daughters, Kiyoko and Asami and a son, Ryuu-Asami is the youngest, Kiyoko the eldest, named for the childhood friend). Naturally, those kids are very much loved, with great grandparents and a great-great uncle as well as all Rin's extended family to spoil them, not to mention Tsugiyoshi and Ryoka (plus her SO) who become something of a cross between a much older sibling and an uncle/aunt to the kids. It helps considering that Misaki never does slow down her peace activism career, meaning she's away from home a lot. The kids all go to Michio Tsukui's daycare when they're little and love it a lot. Kiyoko is a similar age to Michio's adopted daughter and they also become friends, so Michio ends up a permanent part of Misaki's life as well. Kiyoko, Ryuu and Asami go through their schooling, pursue their paths, enter relationships and marry and have their own children and all that too. Misaki and Rin are incredibly proud of them too.

And when Misaki eventually dies peacefully after a long illness when she is very, very old, she is surrounded by all her family, both blood and chosen, and many friends too, secure in the knowledge that she lived the best life that she could.
