tips for flying about the usa
what to wear
comfy shoes you can take off and put back on easily/quickly, such as flip flops or velcro shoes/zipper boots. if going somewhere requiring a different kind of shoe, you'll need to decide whether you want to get through security faster, or have more room in your suitcase.
light jacket with large, secure(can close/things won't fall out easily) pockets for storing phone, wallet, and any other especially important items, so you can simply remove the entire jacket without having to empty pockets during screening, and don't risk losing said items if a bag needs checked or is otherwise lost.
comfy pants that don't require a belt(which would need to be removed for screening), such as sweatpants, and if they have pockets, don't use them so you don't have to empty them for security.
a face mask is recommended due to the high volume and density of both airports and planes, as well as the higher risk of illness from foreign bugs you may be newly exposed to and thus have no natural immunity for. just be aware you will probably be asked to remove the mask briefly during the initial security check to compare your face to your id.
choosing tickets
from my personal experience, southwest airlines suck (the layover they gave us wound up too short and our next plane left before we could even disembark the first one, and they did not reimburse us for the hotel we had to get while waiting for the next available flight), and united is good.
also just from my personal experience, la quinta inns are just nastier, shoddily put together versions of the nicer holiday express inns. (like they had the same exact showers but the ones at la quinta were put together wrong so the shower curtain couldn't close at all and stuff like that)
try to book tickets several months in advance, and use private browsing/clear your cache often, to get lower prices
early morning flights are best as they are less crowded, the staff are nicer, and you are less likely to be tempted to try to squeeze in more activities before departing, thus risking missing your flight entirely
plan to get to the airport no less than 2 hours early in case of traffic, issues getting through security, or other unforeseen delays
if possible, try to avoid any layovers that are less than 1 1/2 hours long, as they often result in either rushing or just straight up missing your next flight. if you can afford it, it may be worth manually booking individual flights, or just staying overnight somewhere rather than risking a tight layover.
try to only fly 2 hours or less per day if possible so that you can feasibly drive the distance in a day instead in case you miss a flight.
luggage
pack light. wear clothes multiple times and only bring what you are HIGHLY likely to need. do not bring extra entertainment items. your destination and/or phone apps should be plenty.
if you must pack an extra pair of shoes, maximize space efficiency by putting small clothing items like socks and underwear into plastic bags and then into the extra shoes.
miniature bottles of toothpaste and meds should be stored in clear plastic bags but likely won't need to be removed from suitcase during security check. you may want to pack them so they are easily accessible just in case though.
electronics larger than a phone may or may not need to be pulled out so pack them in a way that makes them quick to pull out and put back.
no knives. ever. some airports allow small ones but some don't, so you may get them through initially and then not be able to take them back home.
don't bring neck pillows, there's typically not enough room to use them on the plane anyway.
try to leave some room in your main suitcase/carry-on if you can, and bring an additional purse or other smaller bag even if you don't need it, so you can fit potential souvenirs.
verify that all tags on luggage have up-to-date address and phone number, and make sure bag isn't too easy for others to mistake as theirs. (if you like plain black suitcases like i do, cover it in ribbons or keychains to make it easy to identify at a distance. i've had someone mistakenly take my bag and then turn it into security when they realized it wasn't theirs before)
other general tips
don't eat less than an hour before any flight, as you may become ill due to turbulence/gas fuel smell and the enclosed space of an airplane is pretty much the WORST place to be sick.
if you have time before a flight, go to the restroom even if you don't currently feel a need to. you REALLY don't want to have to go on the plane.
don't be afraid to ask to swap seats if your ticket doesn't get you where you want to be. people are generally nice about it, especially within the same row. (just be prepared to accept a no- they payed for that seat and aren't obligated to give it to you)
if you drive yourself to the airport, make note of exactly where you parked. the spots are usually numbered and lettered.

Love Is All Around Us
A Stucky Four Weddings and A Funeral AU by xoxobuckybarnes
Summary: Steve and Bucky are best friends. Always have been. Always will be. Around them, all their friends are falling in love, getting married, having children, living their best lives. Steve and Bucky are dancing around their feelings for each other. With wedding after wedding to attend, it might finally be time for Steve and Bucky to finally address their feelings for each other...
Chapter 1: Tony & Pepper
Saturday June 10, 2023
An incessant ringing wakes Steve from the deep, blissful sleep he was in. His head is pounding and when he attempts to open his eyes, he’s blinded by the bright light pouring in from the open window. He squeezes his eyes shut, hastily patting around in search of his phone. When he finally finds it, he opens his eyes just enough to see the answer button, sliding it without even checking who’s calling him.
“Hello?” Steve mumbles, closing his eyes and throwing an arm over his head to block the light.
“Steve! Dude! Where are you?” Sam yells.
“Huh?” Steve’s too tired, and too hungover to be dealing with Sam yelling at him right now. He burrows into the bed, pulling the covers up further over himself.
“Do you know what time it is?” Sam asks.
Steve groans. “Too early.” All he wants is to just fall back asleep, wake up when his hangover has passed.
“We’re all up in Tony’s suite. Where are you guys?”
“Shit!” Steve sits up a little too quickly, his head spinning. Carefully, he turns to look at the alarm clock on the nightstand. Squinting his eyes to help him see better, he sees that it’s almost 10:15; he was supposed to be up in Tony’s suite 15 minutes ago. “I’ll be up in a bit.”
“Yeah, okay,” Sam replies.
Hanging up the call, Steve drops the phone down on the mattress. He rests his elbows on his legs and lowers his head into his hands, fighting the urge to fall back asleep.
Faintly, he tries to recall his dream. He can’t remember who else was in it, or where they were, or even what they were doing, but there’s this warmth in his chest that tells him he was happy. He takes a moment, focusing on that feeling, trying to recall whatever image he can from the dream, hoping to figure out what it was that made him feel happy in a way that he so rarely feels when awake. Nothing comes though, and eventually he gives up.
Steve pushes himself out of the bed, grabbing a pillow as he does so, throwing it at the lump in the other bed. “Buck! Wake up, we’re late!” Bucky just groans. Ignoring it, Steve makes his way to the bathroom to get ready. He’s grateful that, even in his inebriated state last night, he had the brilliant idea to shower, leaving him one less thing to do this morning.
When he emerges from the bathroom, not even ten minutes later, Bucky’s still sleeping. Steve sits down on the edge of the bed, strokes Bucky’s back, quietly calls his best friend’s name. When Bucky starts to stir, Steve calls his name a little louder.
“Five more minutes,” Bucky moans.
Steve chuckles, sliding his hand up to Bucky’s head, ruffling his hair. “We don’t have five more minutes. We’re already extremely late.”
Bucky groans again, but he at least makes a start on getting up, rolling from his stomach to his back. Lazily, Bucky holds his hand out and Steve grabs it, pulling Bucky up into a sitting position. Bucky keeps moving forward, until his head is resting on Steve’ shoulder. Steve huffs out a laugh as he soothingly rubs Bucky’s back. “Too much to drink last night?” he asks, already knowing the answer.
“Ugh,” Bucky whines. “No more tequila.”
Steve wraps his other hand around Bucky’s waist, holding his best friend close. “Hey, no one told you to make that bet with Clint.”
Bucky slides both his hands around Steve’s waist, shifting closer, pushing his nose into Steve’s neck. “Hey! I’m pretty good at darts. I always beat you. I thought I could win.”
Steve snorts. “I suck at darts. Beating me is no accomplishment. Clint, on the other hand, has unbeatable aim. You know that. Everyone knows that.”
Bucky sighs. His warm breath tickles Steve’s neck. “Steve,” he whines. “I couldn’t let him win. I hate losing.”
“You lost three in a row, Buck.”
“Third time’s a charm?”
“Apparently not,” Steve replies.
Bucky responds by pinching Steve’s side.
“Hey! Hey, hey, hey!” Steve squeals, trying to maneuver out of Bucky’s reach. He shimmies to get away from Bucky’s pinching fingers, but Bucky grasps tightly on Steve’s waist, pulls him back into his chest, pinches him again. In retaliation, Steve starts tickling Bucky, knowing his friend well enough to know his most ticklish spots.
Bucky giggles, squirming under Steve’s fingers. “Stop! Stop! Stop!” he cries through laughter.
Steve concedes, holds his hands up in surrender. He’s staring right at Bucky’s face as he watches his friend settle down. He’s staring so intently at the way Bucky’s chewing on his lower lip, that he misses Bucky lowering his hand to pinch Steve again. “No fair!”
Bucky laughs. “Okay, okay. I’m done.”
“Good.”
Bucky groans, resting his head back down on Steve’s shoulder. “Ugh. My head hurts.”
“You need some hair of the dog,” Steve suggests. He pats Bucky’s hip. “C’mon, go get ready so we can head up to Tony’s.”
Gently, Bucky removes himself out of Steve’s embrace and climbs out of bed, flicking Steve’s ear as he walks past. Steve throws another pillow at Bucky, just missing as Bucky shuffles into the bathroom.
Steve changes into his suit and waits for Bucky to finish getting ready in the bathroom, scrolling through twitter on his phone while he waits. After ten minutes, Steve calls out to Bucky, reminding him that they’re already late. The only sound that comes from the bathroom though, is the rushing of water from the faucet. Steve goes back to his phone, rolling his eyes. For as long as he’s known Bucky, he’s known that Bucky takes his looks very seriously, perhaps a little too seriously, often taking way too long to get ready. Steve’s just grateful that he works from home so that he’s not fighting with his roommate for the bathroom in the morning.
It’s another ten minutes before Bucky finally emerges from the bathroom. Steve glances up briefly from his phone, then does a double take. Bucky looks good, really good; the twenty minutes in the bathroom was certainly worth it. His fluffy brown hair is flowing into soft curls. He’s freshly shaved, and even from where Steve’s sitting on the bed, he picks up a faint scent of Bucky’s cologne. Bucky’s already changed, wearing a classic gray suit with a crisp white shirt underneath and a gray tie. His grandfather’s black watch, the one he saves for special occasions, is on his wrist, completing the look.
“Steve!”
“Huh?” Steve hadn’t even noticed that Bucky was talking to him, so entranced by Bucky’s appearance. He shakes his head and focuses on Bucky, glad that his friend is gathering up his phone and wallet from the dresser, not looking at Steve, unable to see him turning red.

The Ultimate Guide to Affordable Bus, Scenic, and Convenient Travel
Bus travel in the USA is an underrated gem. Whether you're a budget-conscious traveler, someone who enjoys the scenic route, or simply looking for a convenient way to explore the country, buses offer a unique and accessible way to see America. This guide will cover everything you need to know about traveling by bus across the USA, including the best routes, tips for comfort, and why this mode of transportation is gaining popularity.
1. Why Choose Bus Travel?
Affordability: Trailways buses are one of the most cost-effective ways to travel, often costing a fraction of what you’d pay for a flight or train ticket.
Scenic Routes: Unlike air travel, bus routes allow you to see the landscape up close. You can witness the changing terrain, from bustling cities to rural countryside, all from your window seat.
Convenience: With numerous stations across the country, bus travel offers flexibility in scheduling and destinations. You can often find a bus station in towns where airports are absent.
Eco-Friendly: Buses have a smaller carbon footprint compared to planes and cars, making them a greener choice for the environmentally conscious traveler.
2. Top Scenic Bus Routes in the USA
Pacific Coast Highway (Route 1, California): Travel along one of the most famous scenic drives in the world. This route offers breathtaking views of the Pacific Ocean, cliffs, and beaches.
The Adirondack Route (New York to Montreal): This route takes you through the stunning landscapes of Upstate New York, offering views of the Hudson River, Lake Champlain, and the Adirondack Mountains.
Route 66 (Chicago to Los Angeles): Travel along the historic Route 66, where you’ll experience classic Americana, small towns, and vintage roadside attractions.
The Great Smoky Mountains (North Carolina to Tennessee): This route offers incredible views of one of America’s most visited national parks, with lush forests and mist-covered peaks.
3. Planning Your Bus Journey
Choosing the Right Bus Company: Research and compare companies like Trailways, Greyhound, Megabus, and regional operators. Consider factors such as comfort, onboard amenities, pricing, and customer reviews.
Booking Tickets: Many bus companies offer online booking, which is often cheaper than purchasing tickets at the station. Look for discounts, promotions, and loyalty programs.
Packing Essentials: Pack light but bring essentials for a comfortable journey—snacks, water, a neck pillow, entertainment (books, movies, music), and a blanket or sweater for temperature changes.
4. Tips for a Comfortable Bus Ride
Choosing Your Seat: Opt for a window seat to enjoy the views and have something to lean against if you plan to sleep. Sitting near the front can offer a smoother ride.
Stretching and Moving: On long rides, take advantage of stops to stretch your legs. Some buses also have room to stand or walk a bit in the aisle.
Entertainment and Connectivity: Many buses offer Wi-Fi and power outlets, so bring devices to keep yourself entertained. Don’t forget headphones!
Staying Safe and Secure: Keep your valuables in a small bag that you can keep with you at all times. Be mindful of your surroundings, especially at night or during stops.
5. Exploring Bus Travel Destinations
Major Cities: Bus travel is ideal for visiting cities like New York, Chicago, San Francisco, and Miami. These cities have extensive bus networks that connect to various neighborhoods and nearby attractions.
National Parks: Many bus routes take you close to national parks such as Yellowstone, Grand Canyon, and Yosemite. Consider combining bus travel with short hikes or local tours.
Hidden Gems: Explore less-known destinations like Asheville, NC, Sedona, AZ, and Santa Fe, NM. These places offer unique cultural experiences, outdoor activities, and stunning natural beauty.
6. The Future of Bus Travel in the USA
Technological Advancements: With the rise of electric buses, smart ticketing, and real-time tracking, bus travel is becoming more efficient and environmentally friendly.
Increased Popularity: As people seek more sustainable and budget-friendly travel options, bus travel is expected to grow, with more routes and better services.
Customized Experiences: Some companies are now offering luxury bus services with reclining seats, onboard meals, and even private cabins for an upgraded experience.
Bus travel across the USA is more than just a means to get from point A to point B; it’s an experience in itself. Whether you're a seasoned traveler or someone looking to try something new, the bus offers a way to see the country in all its diversity from the comfort of your seat. So pack your bags, choose your route, and get ready to embark on an unforgettable journey across the United States.

Buy Comfortable Travel Neck Pillow Online: Your Essential Travel Companion
In the fast-paced world we live in, travel has become an integral part of our lives. Whether it's for business meetings, family vacations, or exploring new destinations, we find ourselves constantly on the move. While traveling offers numerous exciting opportunities, it often comes with the challenge of discomfort, especially during long journeys. This is where a comfortable travel neck pillow can make all the difference, and the convenience of buying one online has made it easier than ever to enhance your travel experience.
The Importance of a Travel Neck Pillow
Traveling, especially on long flights or road trips, can be physically taxing. Hours of sitting in cramped spaces can lead to stiffness and discomfort, and this is where a travel neck pillow comes into play. These innovative pillows are designed to provide excellent support to your neck, head, and shoulders, helping you relax and sleep better during your journey.
One of the key advantages of a travel neck pillow is its ability to prevent neck pain and stiffness. It provides the necessary support to maintain proper alignment of your neck and spine, reducing the risk of waking up with a sore neck after a long flight or drive. Moreover, these pillows are incredibly versatile and can be used in various travel situations, including planes, trains, buses, and even as a passenger in a car.
The Convenience of Online Shopping
Now, with the advent of online shopping, purchasing a comfortable travel neck pillow has never been easier. Gone are the days when you had to visit physical stores and sift through limited options. Today, you can explore a vast range of travel neck pillows from the comfort of your home.
Tumblr media
Shopping online offers several advantages, including convenience, variety, and competitive pricing. You can browse through a wide selection of travel neck pillows, read customer reviews, and compare prices effortlessly. Plus, with the availability of detailed product descriptions and specifications, you can make an informed decision and select the pillow that best suits your needs.
Choosing the Right Travel Neck Pillow
When buying a travel neck pillow online, there are a few factors to consider to ensure you make the right choice.
Material: Travel neck pillows come in various materials, including memory foam, inflatable, and microbead. Each has its own set of advantages, so it's essential to select one that offers the comfort and support you desire.
Size and Shape: Travel neck pillows come in different shapes and sizes. Some are U-shaped, while others are rectangular or cylindrical. The choice of shape depends on your personal preference and how you plan to use it.
Portability: If you're a frequent traveler, consider the portability of the pillow. Inflatable or compact pillows are excellent choices for those who need to save space in their luggage.
Washability: Since travel neck pillows can get dirty during your journeys, it's wise to choose one with a removable and washable cover for easy maintenance.
Price: While you don't have to break the bank for a quality travel neck pillow, it's essential to strike a balance between affordability and comfort.
Enhance Your Travel Experience
a comfortable travel neck pillow can be your ultimate travel companion, helping you combat the discomfort that often accompanies long journeys. The convenience of buying one online allows you to explore a wide range of options and find the perfect pillow that suits your needs and preferences. So, whether you're a frequent flyer or an occasional traveler, invest in a high-quality travel neck pillow, and make your journeys more comfortable and enjoyable.

How the TFP Decepticons and TFP Autobots react to y/n/ reader being sick
Includes: Megatron, Shockwave, Soundwave, Starscream, Dreadwing, Predaking, Knockout, Breakdown, ratchet and Optimus Prime.
Slight mocking words about you being a human
Megatron:
- He isn't used to human sicknesses so he wouldn't really notice it. I mean for sure there's plent of sicknesses for his own kind but they are quite different from human sicknesses.
- The moment he notice something is different with his little human he would look at you like YOU did something wrong.
- If you tell him your sick the first thing he would ask „are you gonna die now fleshy?" (Quite lovely isn't he)
- Another reason for him to think humans are lowly creatures
- If you just happen to have a cold he would tell you to get over it
- But if your sick sick, like fever, throwing up and other nasty stuff he would get a little worried
- He would get you to knockout and if he has no plan, well, he would use soundwave to find the best doc he can find in the USA (he would let the doc kidnap)
- It's not like he cares for you (He tells himself that everytime he's going to you check up on you if your feeling better or need smt)
- Maybe, just maybe it depends on how attached he is, he would pick you up or pet you.
- Oh, an he can reproduce heat in his chest and neck area so he would most likely put you there
Starscream:
- He would catch you caugh more than twice with a running nose and a cracky voice
- He would be confused.
- Are you ok? Was that normal for human?
- He would watch you a good while not sure if he could ask you what was wrong with you, or if it was inappropriate.
- After he asked you he would make sure to help you to get over whatever you have.
- He wouldn't be great at it tho, but at least he would try.
- Expect a lot of „insults" like „you humans are so weak, you could easily die" „hello my weak fleshy human, are you doing alright?"
- But in the end he would give you some blankets to hold you warm and to make you comfortable (he would sneak you into his Quaders on the nemesis and nobody would notice it, well soundwave would but he wouldn't mind he already knows that starscream has a little human friend)
Soundwave:
- he would know your ill before even you know.
- He knows a lot of things especially do to his connection to the internet.
- He would look up the things you might have
- He would panic
- Humans can die cause of a cold!? He didn't know that( what do we learn about that? Don't google your symptoms)
- After a while and a lot of data, he would know that humans can die do to a cold but in most cases they don't unless they were ill before or old.
- Would ask you to take medicine and to take rest
- He would recommend healthy food and recipes for you to make
- Isn't quite a talker but would send you sms asking you if your feeling better
- If not he would take you to the nemesis to take care of you cause obviously you can't do that on your own
- He would give you a lot of blankets and pillows so you could rest while he's working
Knockout:
- Don't expect him to help you.
- Expect him to mock you
- If you mean something to him he might help you like driving you to the human doc or driving you to a shopping center so you could get groceries without taking the bus or driving by yourself
- But Don't. You. Dare. Puke. In. Him
- He would have a mental breakdown right away
- He would also make snarky comments about you being ill cause he can't take you to street races in the middle of the night and how weak you are
- If your really really ill he will take care of you. I mean he's a doc (somehow) so he can at least give you some comfort.
Breakdown:
- The moment he notice that you don't behave like you normally do he brings you to knockout asking his mech friend what to do with you
- He wouldn't listen to you, you're human, you don't know how serious it might be (yes, he believes he knows much more about your human sicknesses than YOU a HUMAN do)
- Knockout wouldn't know what to do with you either so he would recommend his friend to take you to a human doctor.
- You would assure him that you in fact don't need a human doctor cause you just have a cold.
- He wouldn't mind and take you to a doc.
- if you insist on not going to a doctor, he wouldn't push you, but at the same time he would be very worried cause he doesn't rlly understand that you do in fact not die do to your cold
- Expect him to give you a lot of affection and blankets, he would wrap you up like a burrito
Shockwave:
- Honestly, I don't think he would mind that much that your ill or at least if you're just ordinary human that supports the decepticons but if you're a friend of him or maybe even more he would ask you what's wrong with you cause he would notice it right away
- He would ask you to stay away from him, not cause he doesn't want you to be near him while you're ill. No he would ask you that cause he wants you to rest at your home, far away from his scientist stuff and other stuff which could possibly be negative for your „healing" process
- He would do some research to help you and to be sure you don't have something bad
- He would bring you stuff tho, like blankets, heating pads, medicine, food he thinks is good for humans that are ill and other logical stuff.
- He's a busy and most of the time emotionless mech who just thinks logical, but for you he might be a little less logical but just maybe.
Dreadwing:
- He would notice that something is wrong with his little human, but he wouldn't really understand why you were feeling unwell
- You would need to explain to him why exactly you were feeling unwell
- He would ask you what he can do for you so that you're feeling better
- Would bring you to knockout the moment you're coughing
- What you humans don't die? But it sounded like that!
- Would try to prevent you from ever getting ill again cause he doesn't like it to see you weaker than you're already are
Predaking:
- The moment you tell him you can't visit him cause you're ill and need rest, he's on his way to support you through your illness.
- He's your personal heater and even though he is a grumpy dude, for you he would do anything.
- He would take you with him, he's a busy mech after all but on the other hand he wants you to be as near as you can possible be
- You were weak before, but now? Oh dear prime he's all over you like your personal hellhound
- Nobody, really nobody is allowed to approach you until you're feeling better
Ratchet:
- Oh dear Primus, he's feed up.
- It's not that he's angry at you cause you're ill. No no, he's mad that most likely some human child *cough miko cough* is guilty of making you ill do to some water prank in the middle of the fucking winter
- He would try to take care of you, while working at the base so he couldn't be there to pemper you 24/7 but he would at least try to help you get over you might have
- He would ask you a lot of questions. How do you feel? Does your stomach still hurts and stuff like that
- in his care you will recover quickly
Optimus Prime:
- He is really really busy mech, means he has a lot of stuff to do but he would notice it right away that something is clearly wrong with you
- He wouldn't wait for you to tell him what's wrong, he would just ask you
- The moment you tell him that your sick he would start a speech about how important it is for you to stay in your bed
- He would give no single fuck why you're not in your bed, he would simply drop you off at your home( if you're in the base and not at home ofc), telling you to rest and commanding the other Autobots to not take you somewhere but the doctor
- He would ask June to check up on you from time to time, but for sure he would visit you too but again, he's busy busy
