In society, the artist is considered an individual who feels and dreams and is considered a part of this society, and art has always been linked to literature.
“Sociological theory” aims to explain the relationship between literature, art, and society.
Tin defined his scientific approach to literature and art through the angles of (race/environment/time), as Karl Marx subjected art and literature to a study in economics.
There are researchers in the field of aesthetics who have transformed Marx's theory into a theory that analyzes the relationship of art and literature to society. Art, like literature, is considered a relationship indicative of the category of intellectuals.
The problem of the relationships between literature, art, and society is not posed consciously. It has branched out into specialized fields. Practical and technical works have moved away from pure literature. Literature has tended toward the purpose of entertainment and enjoyment, while new literature and art have taken to establishing organic relationships between itself and the community.
Paying attention to the content and message of art is called committed literature or committed art.
The concept that strong literature does not create a need for the consuming community has been confirmed thanks to the art of printing, development in the book industry, and applications of audio-visual media.
The book “Literature in its Relations to Social Institutions” by Madame Dostal was a reason for the growth of the artistic consciousness that shaped the state of social awareness, as it corresponded to “Montesquieu” in terms of applying the methods he adopted from the concepts of (modern) and (national) in the time in which it developed. The "spirit of the times" and "national spirit" tendencies.
These are the same concepts as “Tin”, except that he needed to understand the concept of “human science”, but Karl Marx’s theory of economics as a human science is considered more effective.
Since he interpreted the history of society using materialist theory, he published a book with a friend trying to explain creative science and its impact on society.
A truly Marxist theory of literature and art began to form with Plekhanov. Art and literature were considered essentially social, shaping the class consciousness of popular groups in their struggle with the bourgeois class by highlighting the role of literature and art.
Ivanov showed that literature and art should be viewed in relation to the life of society, and the truth should be perceived and analyzed.
Art and literature are social phenomena - according to Kant's theory, art is defined as a sensory perception of truth through creative images. The principle of the historical method is the basis of research.
Both Lukacs and Goldman criticized the Soviet sociological approach of the formal school, relying on Marxist theory and criticism of it. The first obstacle facing a true literary sociology is the science of literature.

Exhibition Review
Ajyal Group exhibition
The exhibition was held under the patronage of H.E Shaikh Rashid bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Chairman of National Council Arts and Honorary President of Bahrain Arts Society, In collaboration with the Supreme Council for Women including a variety pf wonderful works by 45 artists.
Bahrain was one of the first countries in the gulf region where fine arts emerged, dating back to early twentieth century. The fine art movement was influenced by the country’s rich cultural heritage and openness to various cultures. These initiatives were founded by a group of artists who were inspired by the island’s local environment such as sea and diving. The early artworks were developed using available tools and materials that could have been sourced at the time to produce their artwork. The themes of these artwork were often based on field visits and live drawing of landscapes, and scenes of daily life such as traditional clothing, crafts, folklore stories and events.
The Bahrain Fine Arts Society, since its establishment in 1983, has had an active role in supporting Bahraini art and artists locally and abroad by hosting exhibitions, workshops and lectures for various Bahraini artists, as well as by promoting Bahraini artists in international exhibitions.
All of this culminated in the creation of a unique art scene - the impact of which we witness today with its artistic, intellectual and cultural dimensions.
This exhibition, which coincides with the 40th anniversary of the establishment of the Bahrain Arts Society, aims to highlight the Society's contribution over the years in fostering a fertile environment to create dialogues between the works of artists of various generations. This is evident by the influence of generations of Bahraini artists in terms of subjects, themes and palettes.
This exhibition celebrates the Bahraini artist and generations that had and continue to have an impact on the Bahrain art scene

Turning palm oil waste into jet fuel IN BLENDING palm oil waste into jet fuel, ETA Green has also given a new lease of life to a previously distressed biomass and waste management facility in Malaysia. The plant, which sits on 7 ha of land in Perak, began operations in 2015. But rising costs and Covid-era disruptions caused the facility to be placed under receivership in July 2022. When it was later put up for sale, Elaine Teh, chairman of Singapore-based consumer goods company Octopus Group, learnt about it from her relationship manager at UOB -- and saw an opportunity. "We sent in a team to do due diligence, to see whether it was viable," said Teh, who had been looking to invest in green businesses. "They were in distress, but we saw the gem (within)." More than half of the purchase price was funded by a SLL from UOB, with the remainder from internal resources. While Teh did consider other sources of funding, she eventually decided on debt financing as preferable to options such as pooling resources with business partners or borrowing from family and friends. "If I can get (the money) from the bank, and I can run it profitably, and I can service the loan, why not?" Teh founded Malaysia-based company ETA Green to acquire and run the facility, with the acquisition completed by 2023. Upon taking over, however, Teh's team quickly determined that the original business model of selling generated electricity to the grid was not viable, as the price of electricity was "too low". Fortuitously, the acquisition of the plant coincided with a surge in interest in sustainable aviation fuel. The biomass plant could easily be adapted to serve this purpose: processing sludge palm oil as an ingredient for such fuel. Malaysia is the world's second-largest producer of palm oil, which is used to make food and beauty products, among other things. After palm oil is extracted from the fruit, the empty fruit bunches are the main waste material. At ETA Green's plant, these empty fruit bunches are further processed to extract sludge palm oil, which is sold to a third-party collector. Whatever remains is processed further -- into animal feed, for example -- and the final waste product is burned to generate electricity. The leftover ash is then sold as fertiliser, completing a zero-waste cycle, said Teh. In the past, sludge palm oil was used to make soap or candles, which are not high-value items. But now, sludge palm oil prices have increased by "a few times" as it can be used in producing sustainable aviation fuel, she added. ETA Green's facility can handle up to 1,200 tonnes of empty fruit bunches per day. As the sole biomass facility in Perak, it collects waste material from palm oil mills across the state and generates up to 12.5 megawatts of electricity. Sludge palm oil sales now account for about 70 per cent of ETA Green's overall revenue, with the remainder derived from selling electricity and other by-products.

Golden ratio by Mayasa AlSowaidi
Golden ratio 1.618… Is a magical number represented by the Greek letter PHI (φ). It’s a fascinating mathematical con-stant that is found in nature, the human body, the arts, architec-ture, music, poetry, the nanos-cale word of our DNA molecule, and all the way to the infinitely large universe.
The golden ratio is not linked to straight lines since it has multiple shapes and different names, such as the famous spiral shape, which is entirely based on the golden ratio that is present in nature, in everything that amazingly surrounds us, in living beings and humans.
Mayasa conveys her experience, which includes her dreams about the concept of art and the golden ratio inherent in everything beautiful and remarkable in life in her own way of visual narration, through which she sought to leave a good impact on the feelings and taste of the recipient and to present a simplified vision regarding her understanding and convictions of the coloring things, and making them relatively acceptable, comfortable and striking to the viewer's eye
She presented a summary of her experience and knowledge in harmony between abstraction in mathematics and art, These works were distinguished by the clear contrast, the artistic maturity in the form of the performance, the construction of the work and the balance of its architecture in different forms of expression. Also The raw materials that varied between cardboard, paper, canvas, acrylic, oil colors etc, in addition to using collage and employing it in more than one place in most of the painting
She incorporated more than one style and formulation including "conceptual" art, as it contributed greatly to highlighting and transferring the popular and religious heritage of Arab society in general, and the Gulf in particular
If the golden ratio is applied to the images, it will give imaginary impressions and greatly express the feelings of the image, In this exhibition, we notice the extent of the artist's keenness and reliance on the photograph in the formation of most of her works and paintings in which she mixed the image, color and geometric shapes as vocabulary
Also she benefited from employing numbers in various places in the exhibition paintings, The presence of numbers in random areas and their relationship with geometric shapes and the image produces a new and exciting set of unanswered questions such as life, existence and happiness
