In case you didn't know today is my birthday. And I tell ya, it's truly a blessing to see another one! And what makes this day so special to me, is this was right around the time when I first gave my life to Christ. All the way back in 2011 when I realized that life isn't worth living if you don't stand for something! And I remember the morning after youth service, I felt completely different. The way I walked, talked, acted, etc was the complete opposite of what I had been doing prior to me giving myself over to Jesus. Now some would say that "I alone" changed my ways, but I would argue that it wasn't me. It was ALL GOD'S UNWAVERING GRACE that changed me! There's NO WAY I could have overcome the struggles I was facing all on my own. I had to seek help from the God who can do all things. We are taught sooo many things at a young age that have caused us to have very limiting beliefs now as an adult! ~You’ll never be successful...if you don’t get good grades ~You’ll never get a good job if you don’t go to school ~If you want more money, get a second job ~the list is endless..... Just like Jacob~Fight for your BLESSING!

Sometimes, we are faced with some serious opposition but GOD is testing us to see if we can handle the blessing that he wants to give us! Just like he did Jacob right before meeting Esau, Jacob was terrified and wanted to know that GOD would surely spare his life and show Him favor with his brother. So he “wrestled” with the Angel of the Lord ALL night and prevailed because of his PERSISTENCE and UNWAIVERING FAITH with not letting go of GOD’s hand until HE had confirmation that he would be blessed! And that’s exactly how GOD wants us to be! We have to be willing to FIGHT, ENDURE TRIALS & TEMPTATIONS and pull an “all nighter”, so to speak in order to show GOD that WE WANT His WILL for our lives and in return He blesses us with what we ask for and so much more! So, are you willing to fight for your blessing? Is it worth it to you? Do you have the stamina to endure? You may be experiencing the test of time, but just hold on, don’t give up, because just like Jacob, God will change YOUR NAME and give you EXACTLY what you need at the right time! I posted a quote that will certainly put things into perspective when experiencing such opposition. Blessings!
