Not sure if this exchange will make the final cut in the exact way I wrote it here, but...wanted to put something out there today...

Dimentio brushes a velvet black boot over the crude dirt drawing, scattering soil over the simple illustration. “Chaos,” he gestures towards the now messy ground, “is the undoing of systems. The Chaos Heart,” he picks up the stick again, tracing a heart outline around the edges of the ruined figures. “Is that destruction given form. The power to pull reality apart into its most basic components and rearrange them to your will.” Dimentio leans towards him, mismatched eyes crinkling in amusement. “Hierarchy dismantled. No more playing second fiddle to your brother.”

“Are you insane?” Luigi jumps to his feet, holding out a palm in Dimentio's direction. “I’m not going to end the world just because Mario gets everything he wants.”

“Ah, so you do resent your brother.”

“I - “ Luigi hesitates, running a hand through his hair. He doesn’t remember the last time he showered, the accumulated dirt and grease from the last few days leaving an oily residue on the pads of his fingers. He wipes his hand on the side of his pants, finding sudden interest in the child-like scrawls in the dirt. 

“That’s not the point,” he finally grumbles, kicking small divots in the ground.
