Higurashi When They Cry Hou Ch. 6 Tsumihoroboshi pt. 16
Rena, having made her daring escape from the school with none of her friends or Chie any the wiser, doesn’t catch that they’re talking about her escape. Keiichi is vaguely aware that she’s probably fallen under the spell of another cockamamie story, or maybe the one she was already certain was true before.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
It’s an interesting juxtaposition of how she hates the fact that Takano left her these scrapbooks, but she also views them as an absolute necessity in her struggle to stay alive. Rena then starts thinking about how exactly this unknown conspiracy is going to use the curse as a method to seize control of Japan. Settling upon the idea that the conspirators are going to use the curse and Rika as the embodiment of a miraculous wonder cure for the curse Rena spirals deeper into paranoia. Since Rika is being used as a figure head clearly that means she can’t trust her nor Satoko in her fight. That goes double for Mion, since she’s the leader of the Sonozaki family, and is therefore the leader of the muscle for the conspirators. She reflects back on Takano’s research, and comes to the conclusion that since the conspiracy killed her this means that their understanding of the parasite has clearly advanced to such a point that it is capable of taking over the entirety of the land all the way to Shishibone City. Or worse than that, the entire prefecture! And if it’s possible that it can cover the prefecture, this means that it’s more than likely able to cover other prefectures too! Clearly this is why they killed Takano, and are now plotting to kill Rena, because they’ve worked out all the kinks in their mad revolutionary plan to seize control.
How much sleep do you think Rena’s got over the past… since she got caught chopping up the bodies of Rina and Teppei? She latched on really tightly to this conspiracy angle that she just read about less than two days ago. Now I know that this can all be explained away with information we learn in Minagoroshi, but you know that her mind isn’t exactly at the best place it could be given the events of the last week or so. She committed a double homicide, she was caught trying to dispose of the evidence, she was given these scrapbooks filled with absolute bullshit, she recently began remembering previous trauma she’d mentally blocked away. Then on top of that, Ooishi mentions to her that Takano and Tomitake were found brutally slain shortly after she was given the scrapbooks of garbage. Around the time the rest of the gaming club helped her dispose of the bodies she did explicitly mention she was feeling exhaustion. So I can’t help but wonder if her excessively strong paranoia here might be the result of all of these various stressors just finally catching up to her.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
And so, thus armed with $17,558 (adjusting for inflation) Rena goes to her secret hideout in the garbage dump. She reasons this is a perfectly good hiding spot, even if she’s ignoring the fact that both Rika and Mion know about this location. Rena, feeling the restlessness that comes with having to wait until nightfall to contact Ooishi leaves her hideout.
Which then cuts to Rena’s father talking with a local police officer because it looks like someone broke into his house and stole 800,000 yen out of his lock box. During said discussion with the officer Keiichi calls asking if Rena went home? Rena’s dad informs him he hasn’t seen his daughter since she left that morning and hangs up on him, the missing 800,000 yen and break-in being a slightly larger issue than his daughter’s friend wanting to chat over the phone.
Rena, meanwhile is off to go look at where they dumped the bodies of Rina and Teppei.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Wuh oh! Just like the bodies in Watanagashi the bodies of Rina and Teppei went out for a stroll! Also, I love how the text for Rena’s narration is now this just blood red, it’s a very nice touch.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
One of the things that I like about this chapter, and it continues a little bit into Minagoroshi as well, is this notion that even though we have Mion’s word for it that the Sonozaki family isn’t as nefarious as they seem, but actually are still highly suspicious. I don’t doubt that the Sonozaki group at large just decides to take credit for some of the more illegal deeds that happen around Okinomiya/Hinamizawa. But there’s things like this, where if the Sonozakis were indeed on the up and up why are they willing to help dispose of these corpses with no one raising a fuss? It just acts at odds with the claim that they’re not actually a crime syndicate, and maybe there is something to their criminal reputation outside of their actions during the dam conflict.
Rena then rationalizes that the Sonozaki family must actually fear what she knows. After all, they moved the bodies, why do that if not to use against her in the future if she proves unruly? Emboldened by this new information Rena leaves the site where the bodies used to be.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I feel like it took tremendous restraint on either Ryukishi07 or the translators parts to not include some variation of “I know that she knows that I know that she knows that I know that she knows.” It just seems like the sort of line that would be included in some way you know? Although I guess you don’t really see that used in a serious context very often. Cause as we all know this series has never indulged in a silly line like that at all during the course of it all. Still I appreciate how even in the ever worsening depths of her paranoia Rena still is aware enough to think that hey wait, what if Ooishi is in on it? However I do like the version of these events where even though she’s dead certain most everyone’s out to get her Rena is still willing to try to get some help on her side. It’s an interesting change from Keiichi and Shion’s dives into paranoia and eventual murder where they just kept it to themselves.

Listen. Guys. Listen.
As you all may or may not know. I have a massive, huge despise for 2012!Shredder. The rage I feel against him will never die. I am one of his biggest haters.
..... However.
What if I told y'all. That I also have a Oroku Saki redemption au. Not Shredder. But Oroku Saki.
Don't get me wrong. They're both terrible people, one just less so than the other.
But here's the thing. Here's where this all started.
You all remember the episode when Shredder came back again in season 5 right??? How he was not at all himself, very much more of a mellow, depressed "follow instead of lead" kind of person???? And how he quite literally shoved Kavaxas back into hell??????
Hell must have done some real fucking shit to make Shredder rethink his entire life like that. Like no way in hell would he have ever helped the turtles out like that by his own free will before. It's something that I think about daily and I have not been able to get it out of my head because it was SO out of character for him and as much as I hate him and know that I nor the Turtles would never, in a million years, give him a chance of redemption for all the shit he's done...
That part has got me thinking.
Like. Imagine this. Somehow, someway, because of that sudden out of pocket good deed, Oroku Saki is more or less cursed. Cursed to go back to the living, but not as a living, breathing human being. Not exactly a zombie, but not alive either. And he is cursed to watch after the turtles until every single one of his wrongdoings are at least somewhat forgiven and he's able to maybe move on to the next part of life.
So like. One day, the turtles get back from a patrol in a mostly good mood, only to absolutely stop and freeze when seeing they have an unknown visitor sitting on the couch, waiting for them.
Said visitor being Oroku Saki. No burns, no helmets or armor, wearing a Hawaiian shirt, cargo pants, sunglasses and holding a coffee in his hand. And all he does is stare back at the turtles completely and utterly calm.
It takes a minute for something to click, but immediately Leo is on it, moving within the blink of an eye to press his sword against Saki's throat and hissing, "Give me one good reason why I shouldn't chop your head off right here, right now."
And Saki, ever so cooly, takes off his glasses and stares right into hate filled glare and goes, "You can't."
He then explains why they can't kill him, and how every time they try he would only bleed and nothing more, making a complete mess of their lair. April of course reads his mind (A bit too forcefully too because She Mad) but is surprised to learn that he was telling the utmost truth.
Saki then tells them that he's cursed to watch over them, and can't do anything else until his sins are attoned for, and none of the turtles know what to do about this entire thing, utterly stumped.
I'm not sure what happens in between them and the time he attempts to apologize after a few days of the turtles begrudgingly letting him stay but more so as a prisoner (at one point the man attempts to apologize but that only makes Leo snap and he runs a sword through him while saying, "You gave me these scars! Gave me this voice! This knee! You killed are father three times! The time for apologies is over!!! Do you understand?!?'' Will probably break down about it later with his brothers but yeah lmao) .
And of course once Karai finds out, she also immediately tries to attack, only to be completely baffled and betrayed when the turtles stop her, and even after they explain she's not only in denial, but filled with hatred, and vows to find a way to kill Saki before storming off.
I'm not sure what bonds there'd be. If any at all. Because this concept is SO odd to me and I could NEVER see the boys wanting ANYTHING to do with Saki in any form. But if anyone has any ideas they may want to add PLEASE say so I would like to hear them gfhfhdhd
Anyway. There's my super weird "Uncle(?) Saki" au. Do with this what you will fhdghxhddh

Nimona OC - Charlotte Swiftheart/Corova - A Knight Charlotte AU
I wasn't going to write anything for this for a while (or at least until I got a more conclusive poll), but the inspiration struck, so you get this one too.
Remind of the premise of this AU: Knight Charlotte is pretty self explanatory. Charlotte just never leaves the Institute and we see how that plays out for her and the rest of the story. In the Knight Charlotte AU, Charlotte is the one who loses an arm during the knighting ceremony, but not for the same reason. Don't know if this makes it more appealing to anyone, but hey, somebody lost an arm still.
So anyway, there we go.
TW: Mentions of loss of an arm (but not arm chopping)
The Beginning of the Original (Canon + Charlotte)
Golden "Twins" Rebellion AU
All things considered, this was the best outcome. After all, the Queen is still alive, and Charlotte’s adamancy about the events that transpired not being Ballister’s fault, about his sword clearly being switched out or tampered with, had probably kept him from getting arrested. A Squire named Diego had eventually come forward with a video showing the sword being switched by some unknown person, and Ballister’s alibi from Charlotte, Alieza, and Ambrosius was enough to confirm his already clear innocence. Good things all around. And all it cost was Charlotte’s left arm. She still remembers the seering pain of the beam burning through it, cauterizing it before it could bleed. What happened after is a blur, and she’s been told that she was in a coma for a few days after the knighting ceremony. And when she’d woken up, her arm was gone, and she’d sobbed while her mother and Ambrosius held her.
Eventually, the hospital had discharged her, asking her to take it easy and keep the stump clean. Olympia Goldenloin already had a prosthetic made for Charlotte, reassuring her that the family had everything taken care of. According to the doctors, she just has to wait another week until she’s able to start working with the prosthetic and learn to use it. But since she was discharged, she’s felt herself rotting away. She’s distanced herself from Alieza since the knighting ceremony, asking staff to turn Alieza away while Charlotte was in the hospital. And despite Alieza’s best efforts, Charlotte hasn’t answered when she’s come knocking on the apartment door. Charlotte doesn’t want her lover to see her this way. Useless. All the work she’s done over the past twelve years, ripped away from her. She’s not angry at Ballister, no, and she’s reassured him of such, but she is angry. Someone tried to turn her friend into a weapon. Someone tried to kill the queen. Someone took her damn arm. And now she doesn’t know what will come next. Ballister and Ambrosius have had a similar story to Alieza, with Charlotte turning them away when they’ve come to her door. Ambrosius has a key—she knows he does, as she gave it to him just as he and Ballister gave her the key to their apartment—but he doesn’t use it. She has yet to figure out why. The only one she lets in is her mother, and that only comes from her mother’s stubbornness, and her being the only source of Charlotte’s food these days. She knows how to cook with one arm, especially since the remaining arm is her dominant one, but she rarely feels the desire to cook or eat. She’s just…Tired.
One day, the lock on the door clicks, and her head jolts up. She turns the TV off and rises, cautiously walking toward the door. After a few moments, it opens, and Ambrosius steps inside. She hasn’t seen him since they brought her home from the hospital, and the sight of him makes her wish that she hadn’t shut him out. He looks tired too. So, so very tried. His eyes widen when he sees her, darting across her face, then up and down her entire body. She knows she doesn’t exactly look good these days. She does what she can, but it’s been a few days since she washed her hair and she hasn’t been able to bring herself to ask her mom for help. After a few moments of looking at her, he turns and pulls his key out of the door, then shuts it behind him.
“What can I do?” he asks when he looks back at her. And, if she’s being honest, she doesn’t know. She can’t find the words to express all the things she wants and needs. So, instead, she moves. Forward, forward, until her arm wraps around him and she’s falling into a hug. Something in what’s left of her arm twitches, lifting instinctively even if there’s not really an arm there anymore. It feels like there’s a hole gaping in her chest suddenly, and she wants to cry. She can’t hold anyone anymore. Not properly, at least. Not the way she wants to, or the way she always has. She grips the back of his shirt nonetheless, and after a few moments, his arms wrap around her as well. She trembles slightly, and the gentle embrace becomes stronger, and he tightens his hold on her. Sometimes, just being held isn’t enough. She needs to feel wholly engulfed, as if she could burrow into the other person’s chest if she wanted. She’s not much shorter than Ambrosius, but at this moment, she feels incredibly small. She sobs into his neck, and he soothingly shushes her. “It’s okay. I’m here.”
Somewhere in between now and their hug, Ambrosius had convinced her to let him wash her hair. Washing herself in general isn’t too much of a struggle with one arm, but her hair in particular is difficult. It’s thick, and there’s a lot of it. Not to mention, if she ever wants to step into the light of day again, she has to make sure that it’s still up to Goldenloin standards. She may not be a Goldenloin in name, and she’s not Gloreth’s descendant the way Ambrosius is, but she still has an image to maintain due to her relation to the family. It was hard enough to keep up with when she had two hands, and now she’s one short. So she sits with her back to Ambrosius, eyes closed as he massages conditioner into her hair. A comb is carefully run through it to help get out the tangles that have been building since she frustratedly threw her hairbrush yesterday. She’s never liked being taken care of, even by her own mother. Relying on people was something she was taught not to do when she was growing up. She had to learn how to take care of herself, and her mom always made sure she was prepared in case something happened. The Institute hadn’t done much for that mindset either. They were taught how to work together, but that didn’t mean that they were a united front. They fought side by side, but not together, if that makes sense. The only people she ever felt she could trust to have her back were Ambrosius, Ballister, and Alieza, but even then, there was always the resistance toward relying on them. She could trust their support, but she shouldn’t expect it. Relying on someone means vulnerability, and vulnerability gets you hurt. But as Ambrosius sets the comb aside to instead run his fingers through her hair, as gentle as if she were a piece of glass, she doesn’t feel vulnerable. Just…safe. A feeling of peace settles over her, and it’s something she doesn’t think she’s felt since before the knighting ceremony. They don’t speak as he continues the process of caring for her hair. When she inievitably gets out of the bath, he waits for her to dry herself off and get dressed, then takes the time to put in the special oils that they’ve both been putting in their hair since they were brought into this family (so, him since he started growing hair, and her for the past six years). It’s as she said, they have an image to maintain, and their hair is part of that. She hadn’t minded until she lost her arm, suddenly feeling unable to do what she was supposed to. Well, what she was expected to do, at least. Olympia has never been cruel to her, but she’s as strict on Charlotte as she is on Ambrosius. Over the past six years, Charlotte hasn’t minded that too much, but right now, she almost wishes that she were just Augustus’s bastard daughter that Olympia and the public didn’t have any expectations for. But that isn’t the case.
Ambrosius is a dreadful cook, so for the first time in weeks, Charlotte pulls out a pot and looks in her fridge. Her mom has brought her ingredients to do some cooking, but it usually ends up being her mom who uses them. The only thing Charlotte’s made on her own recently is toast. After searching through her fridge and cupboards, she lands on chicken noodle soup. She used to eat the canned stuff when she was a child, as her mother was unable to afford the fresh ingredients, but she’s developed her own recipe since she started getting money and allowing herself to experiment. And her mother must’ve hoped she’d eventually make it, since all of the ingredients are here.
“Can I trust you to chop stuff?” she asks, looking over her shoulder at him. He looks a little startled, and she realizes they’re the first words she’s said since he got here. After a moment, though, he nods.
“Yeah. Um, what do you need me to chop?” She directs him through what he needs to do, occasionally making comments while she works on the things she can accomplish with one hand, like heating up the olive oil and stirring ingredients as Ambrosius finishes chopping them. At one point, her hair gets in her face and gets frustrated, so Ambrosius takes a short break from chopping to tie it back for her. When the chopping is finally done and all that’s left to do is wait on the simmering soup so that they can add the actual chicken and noodles, he leans against the counter and looks at her, concern in his golden brown eyes. “We’ve been worried about you. Your mom said you weren’t doing well.” She stares down at the unfinished soup.
“I lost my arm because someone tried to frame Ballister and kill the queen, Ambrosius. I don’t think any of us are doing well,” she says. His hand twitches, and she notices his gaze briefly fall to where her arm would be, as if he was going to reach out to touch her only to remember that her arm is gone.
“I know that isn’t everything.” She purses her lips, hand curling into a fist at her side. He pushes off the counter, and his hand rises higher to curl around her shoulder. “Char-”
“I spent twelve years working for this and it’s all gone. What good is a knight with one arm?” He freezes for a moment, then squeezes her shoulder more firmly and ducks his head down to meet her gaze.
“Char, my mom has the prosthetic ready for you. Once you know how to work with it, you’ll be just as good of a knight as you were before. Maybe even better,” he says. The muscles in what’s left of her arm twitch again.
“It won’t be the same.” “No, of course not, but-”
“Ambrosius.” She turns, reaching out and grabbing onto the front of his shirt with already watery eyes. “If we talk about this I’m going to cry, and if I cry I’m going to burn the soup, so can we please just wait until the soup is done?” He glances at the soup pot for a moment, then looks back at her and smiles softly.
“Yeah, we can wait.” She waits a few seconds, then slowly releases his shirt and turns back toward the stove. He doesn’t move away from her side, and eventually, his arm slips around her shoulders, and she leans into his side. She doesn’t want to cry. Not again. She just wants to eat some damn soup, and then maybe she’ll feel okay. She hopes so.

Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
This is me.
Well, a piece of me.
I have a very deep love and respect for the gym.
I’m convinced it’s my soulmate
—sorry husband, you still come first
I recently shared with a peer how I have been able to be so consistent with waking up and going to the gym at 3 AM. Our conversation started off based on suggestions to help her wake up to make it to her fitness class in the mornings. In the midst of, I was given the space to shed some light on how I got to this place mentally.
Whew. I’ve never shared this in a public space so bare with me.
TRIGGER WARNING
I’ve had an entanglement with the gym since 2011. I had understood the value in exercise but I didn’t feel like I needed it. Outside of watching the best unknown basketball players beast in pick up games 99.9%, the other .1% I participated in an occasional cardio or Zumba session with my best girlfriend to have fun.
However, come 2013 I began to feel a shift. I big chopped all my hair to begin my natural journey and ironically I posted all about it on my other Tumblr page at the time. I started valuing exercise for more reasons than the physical aesthetics. I mean I was even running miles on the outdoor trail near my townhouse. Sis was inspired.
2015 life took a turn
—I met my ex. What I thought was going to be a fun and lighthearted relationship became 4 years in a black hole quickly. From being dragged out of a car, having a gun put to my head to stop me from trying to have somebody help me from my screams, being called disgusting names around his male and female friends when he was drunk, to being choked until I nearly couldn’t breathe, the list goes on.
2020 God saved me
At the very beginning of the pandemic, my abuser decided to tell me he was leaving me and moving to a new state. This meant I was finally free. TO GOD BE THE GLORY.
After liberation came depression. I felt so much relief and gratitude to know that God had more for me. Spoiler Alert, that didn’t save me from myself.
I couldn’t believe what I had allowed myself to go through.
Learning to trust yourself again is a tough process and should get talked about more.
I was engaging in detrimental behaviors like excessive drinking and sex thinking it would numb the way I was feeling. I had a talk with myself and realized the same energy I put into masking my pain I could put into healing. So I had to do right by ME. Make a change to do good for me, to do things to love and honor myself.
The gym became my sanctuary.
I was able to release and quiet negative thoughts.
I was able to show how powerful my body is.
How powerful I am.
It’s a time where I got to shift the narrative I created about myself during survival mode.
Fast forward to today.
2 0 2 3 I’m absolutely beasting in the gym. I’m in the best shape of my life. Mentally and physically. The gym kickstarted the reframing of my relationship with my health and myself as a whole. (which btw, I hope you take a ginger shot and your probiotics after reading this) There’s so many beautiful things I discovered about myself and I plan on sharing more with you all.
It’s easy to get wrapped into social media’s idea of the gym. I mean yeah it will give you a fat ass but there’s more depth to it if you really get intentional about it. It helped me find parts of myself I thought I lost and opened my eyes to parts of myself I had no idea about.
To anybody healing from abuse,
I pray for your freedom strength and protection.
I pray for your healing.
I pray you are surrounded by people you feel safe enough to confide in.
I pray you remember to be gentle with yourself.
I pray you forgive yourself.
I pray you find your true self.
I pray you remember the reasons you love you.
I pray you find things that bring you happiness.
I pray you are covered in peace and grace.
I love you.

Cow Endeavor
Tumblr media
Don't ask no questions you don't want answered. Either way, i have no answers for you. I cried while writing this
Praise kink, male lactation (🙃 say something i dare you) farm au, y'all know i love my breeding kink.
You were a simple farm hand. Every morning you'd wake up, feed the animals, and water the crops. It was your job to make sure everything was in order and working properly. In the essence of things working properly, that meant you had to take care of the farm's prized cow, Enji.
You weren't sure how or when he got here, he had just always been there. What you do know was that his performance in producing milk was so great that he had become the pinnacle for your farm, a mascot even. A cow that could make milk without even needing to be bred.
So it's understandable the panic everyone went into when their prized cow stopped producing his prized milk. "I just don't understand, he just had a calf but there's not even milk for hj., we had to result to bottle feeding!"
You pat Keigo's back reassuringly, "It's going to be okay, have you ever considered that maybe he's just too old now?" Takami's face paled, "You're right, what if our poor Endeavor has run his course?!" He then grips the front of your overalls and gazes you with a look that pierces your soul.
"You have to fix this, if they find out he's no longer making milk, you know what they'll do to him!" You nodded, retirement for farm animals was never fun, they'd either try to force his glands to make milk with dangerous chemically induced hormones, or it would be off to the chopping block.
So now, standing in front of Enji's stall, you take a deep breath to steady yourself. Though his primary caretaker, you had never seen Enji in person so this would be either overwhelming or underwhelming.
Opening the swinging doors, you stand amazed. It may be called a stall but it was nothing less than a renovated room. There was, of course, a wooden trough where his hay and water was, but there was also a nice bed for him and even a damn vanity with a 6ft tall mirror.
"Are you the butcher?" You jump and swivel your head around. There standing at a whopping 6,11, was the prized Enji.
His blue eyes were cold as they glared down at you, and if you hadn't seen his massive pecs, you would have confused him for a bull.
"Uh, no I'm not. I guess you could say I'm going to be your doctor today." Enji rolled his eyes and walked past you. He sits on his bed and for a moment, you saw a look of sadness etched in his scared face. A reminder of a past problem.
"Look I'd recommend you replace me with Touya, he can't do it as often but the quality in milk is just as good. I only ask that you allow little Shouto to sleep with him here, he gets terrible nightmares when he's alone."
You cursed your bleeding heart as you were two sentences from crying. Shouto was his most recent calf,, not even old enough to graze, yet he was far away from his mother where he should be, sucking and carefree.
"Well I hope it doesn't come to that, can you get comfortable?"
Enji lays on his back, sinking into the soft bed below him. You step out the stall and grab your bag of tools. You walk up to Enji and feel your face warm as he looks back at you. His face remained stoic as he watched your hands maneuver the bag clamps.
You let out a loud shriek as a warm hand envelopes your left breast. "If you were a cow, I'm sure you'd make excellent milk." You laugh awkwardly before breaking into a coughing fit as Enji releases you.
"Thanks, could you remove your top for me?" Enji sits up and does as you ask and you balk at how much bigger his chests were when released. "Mommy milkers." You whisper to yourself, catching Enji's attention. "What did you say?"
"Nothing!" You put your stethoscope in your ears, and hold the circle piece to his chest, uttering small apologies when he hisses at the cool temperature. You do the normal required check up before moving to the current task at hand.
You start to put on your latex gloves but it's stopped by Enji shading his head. "I don't like the way they feel." So with your bare hands, you examine his chest.
First you massage the skin around his nipple to try to coax some milk out. With no luck, you decide to pay attention to the actual nipples balancing from prodding to pinching them. "Normally when things like this happen it means that something could be blocking the exit." Enji huffed, "Why won't you people accept that I'm just old?!"
You ignore him and continue. You feel around the swell of his breasts and push inwards with two fingers. At that, you faintly catch the sight of his pink buds being coated with clear shiny liquid. Enji's face warmed at the feeling of it dripping down the valley of his chest.
"See, what did I tell you!? It just needed a little coaxing!" You press and prod more trying to coax a consistently white spurt of milk but soon run dry. Enji's face was completely red and sweat had accumulated on his brow. He was internally thankful for the pants he requested as an embarrassingly large bulge was present just below the fabric.
"S-See all that was just a shadow of what I once was." You flick his nip and shake your head, promptly missing how his eyes gently rolled back at the feeling. "Calm down edge lord. I think you need a constant force, I'm going to go get Shouta and see if he can suck more out and hopefully shift whatever is blocking."
You stand up and give Enji a reassuring smile. Rising into a panic, Enji grabbed your forearm, "Don't bring him!" You pout your lips, "Well who do you want me to bring?"
Enji grits his teeth, he didn't want any of his calves to see him in such a state, but he knew this was an opportunity for him to stay at the farm a little while longer. Gently, you feel yourself being tugged.
You trip over yourself, slightly leaning over Enji which gave him the perfect opportunity to cradle the back of your head. He says nothing as he holds you closer, and it wasn't until you saw his flushed face, that you realised what he wanted.
"E-Enji, I don't think this is appropriate I-" Enji wastes no time before pressing his hardened nipple into your partially open mouth. Your protest is muffled as he pressed your face closer. His eyes closed tightly as your warm breath fans over his cool skin.
Soon you realise that you were not going to be let go anytime soon. You reposition yourself the best he would allow you before closing your eyes as well, and sucking gently. Enji lets out a sigh that reverberated down his body.
You let out a muffled exclamation as you feel a warm liquid
flow into your mouth. It was thicker than the clear liquid you saw before, bittersweet and addicting without any additives. It was easy to see how Enji had become the prized cow.
Enji's grip slackened when he felt you relax against him, but you barely noticed as you became enraptured in the taste of his milk. In a strange way, suckling from him felt almost intimate in a maternal way.
Despite your innocent feelings, Enji found himself becoming aroused at the sight of you enjoying him. In all his years of work, he had never seen someone, besides his calves, drink his product.
"D-Do you like it?" You hum around him and he had to clench his teeth so he wouldn't release any sounds. You find yourself getting pliant in his arms, becoming more focused on getting more of the psweet liquid.
You soothingly lave your tongue around his nipple and Enji can't help but let out a small moan. His dick was painfully hard in his cotton pants and there was only so much he could take.
You remove yourself from him with a wet pop, before applying a kiss to his swollen bud. Rather high off happy chemicals, you stand shakily to your feet. Enji had drool and small dribbles of milk spurting from the unattended side of his chest. "You were so good for me Enji. I'm sure this will get you up and running in no time!"
With that, you utter a quick "thank you" and walk away, missing the large splotch of cum leaking from the fabric crotch of Enji's pants.
🐄🐄🐄🐄🐄🐄🐄🐄🐄🐄🐄🐄🐄🐄🐄🐄🐄🐄🐄🐄
It was 3 weeks before you saw Enji again. And you don't deny that you were avoiding him. What you did was beyond inappropriate and uncalled for. You should have pulled away and called for one of his calves.
But avoiding your job is just as easy as it sounds.
"Hey y/n, Enji thinks he's running dry again. Even though there seems to be nothing wrong when the machine mills him, I think you should go check and make sure." You stiffen and shovel a mouthful of lettuce into your mouth.
"If there's nothing wrong, I have no reason to go. Besides why can't you do it." Keigo looks at you with a raised eyebrow, "He requested you specifically." You feel your chest flutter with an unknown emotion and you quickly finish your lunch to avoid any conversation.
You enter Enji's stall the next day and watch silently as he immediately removes his shirt. Ever since your first meeting, his chests had doubled in size since the milk had finally been allowed to move freely. The sight of them excited you, and you couldn't help but feel conflicted.
You sit in a small chair next to Enji's bed and examine his swollen breasts. Even the slightest touch caused milk to spill forth and it became hard to ignore. "You're not really starting to dry up are you?"
Enji sighs before sitting up. "Ever since that day I couldn't get you out of my head." You tilted your head confused as Enji cups his breasts before trailing his large hands down his stomach to his crotch before gripping his obvious manhood.
"Enji this is going beyond inappropriate." The large man made a sound that was a cross between a desperate whine and a grunt similar to that of a bull. "Don't deny that you like it too, I saw the look on your face." You lowered your head unable to look at his eyes.
Thoughts mulled over in your head about what type of punishment you could receive from possibly contaminating merchandise. Would the milk be different? People have been sending letters about how much sweeter Enji's milk has gotten.
Ah, but the thought of Enji's sweet sustenance on your tongue made your mouth water. Enji hid a small smirk as he saw you finally make up your mind. He had missed you since your last encounter, he spent nights thinking of you as his tits swelled with milk.
You untie your work apron and toss it on the stool before straddling Enji's thick legs. In the back of your mind, the logistics of his height and weight made your shiver at the thought of his cock.
Enji brings you in for a kiss and the rather off putting taste of oats and spring grass floods your senses as your tongues intertwine. You use your hands to massage his breasts and feel your front become warm as you subsequently squeeze out some of his milk.
You place hurried kisses along his jaw as you make your way to the true treasure. The sweet taste of his milk overrides your morning meal and you are baffled by how different it was from last time.
Enji, no longer feeling shy, let out a groan as he holds your head close to him. His free hand pulls his leaking cock out and strokes it in time with your rough tongue as you press it against his sensitive bud.
"Harder my little flower." You sigh with contentment at the nickname and do as ordered. You feel Enji flex below you and you take pride in it.
You scoot your lower body closer to his groin and rock your hips against him. The feeling of your denim pants against his throbbing cock was almost too much yet too little.
"Please, let me be inside you." You raise your head to look at him and Enji almost coos at the milky dribble rolling out the corner of your mouth. You were such a small thing, needed to be fed, needed to be protected and most importantly, needed to be bred.
Dazed, you shimmy off your pants and underwear and grind your hips. "B-Be gentle okay?" You were trembling on top of him and it was absolutely adorable. "Of course my flower."
In the corridor Keigo was making his way towards Enji's stall. It had been beyond the recommended time for an examination so he was coming to see what was taking you so long.
As he comes upon the door, the sound of whining fills his ears. "Just a little bit longer, flower." His eyes widen and he takes four steps away from the stall door. "You sly fox y/n fraternizing with the produce." Keigo shakes his head in disapproval before shrugging with a small grin.
"None of my business."
The feeling of fullness was strange and uncomfortable. Enji was not long whatsoever, that was another characteristic that set him apart from the bulls. But he was thick to the point where you knew you'd have to work extra hard to accommodate him.
"You're doing so well for me flower." You rub your face against his bosom and resume drinking from him. The taste of his milk was therapeutic and before you knew it, he was thrusting fluidly inside of you.
The thickness of his shaft rubbed just right against your g-spot. The feeling of your soft lips alternating between each nipple, made Enji speed up his menstruations for he could no longer contain his pleasure.
He was sad that he couldn't bring you to completion as well but that can always be saved for next time. The feeling of his semen filling you felt just as amazing as the milk flooding your mouth and you clenched tightly around him.
🐄🐄🐄🐄🐄🐄🐄🐄🐄🐄🐄🐄🐄🐄🐄🐄🐄🐄
"It's not funny Keigo!" "Really? I think it's hilarious." You groan as you cradle your slightly protruding belly. You should have seen it coming, and subconsciously, you weren't surprised to see two pink lines on the pregnancy test that you took 4 months ago.
Now at 7 months and obviously showing, Keigo took the opportunity to bring up the fact that he was there when your new child was consummated therefore reserved the right to be it's godfather.
Telling Enji the news went scarily smooth as the cow bastard only replied with, "Of course you are pregnant, I'm the sire." Followed by him asking to try your milk as well, so he could critique. All his calves, now yearlings, seemed to take the news just fine and only seemed excited to pick baby names.
"Look, all I'm saying is, don't come crying when little junior starts asking about the family business." You groan as the dirty blond man continues his jokes. A small content smile is present on your face.

K.I.S.S.I.N.G
Word count: 1232
Genre: floofy fluff
Request: No ;3
Warnings: None that I can think of? Lemme know if there is tho :)
Based on this quote even though it has so little to do with the actual story XD - “I know I signed up for this and all, but… if I die, it’s still your fault and I will not hold back on blaming you.”
You were well and truly trapped. The mission had gone south, one bad call after another had led you to where you were presently. It was supposed to be a simple mission, in and out. It's why SHIELD had decided to send only you, Natasha, and Wanda - leaving a lower-level agent in charge of the plane. It was a test run for you as you were the newest on the team and a refresher for Wanda, making sure her team skills were up to scratch with Natasha there as a glorified babysitter. The building was supposed to be mostly abandoned, a few HYDRA goons here and there to get target practice in but that was it.
Of course SHIELD had to have sent you in with bad information. This was your time to shine, to perform to the best of your abilities so a certain spy might notice you. Considering you were surrounded by some of the best in the business and a literal mindreader, you were quite proud that your little crush had gone unnoticed. Sure, you couldn't string more than two sentences together when Natasha spoke to you directly but she hopefully just thought you were a social recluse.
"Damn it. Did they not know they don't literally have to be a damned hydra. It's okay for one head to be chopped off and another not grow back." You spoke into your earpiece as you slit another hydra throat.
Chuckles rang back into your ear and for a second you forgot how to breathe. Natasha's gruff bark of laughter was the prettiest thing you'd ever heard.
Oh man. You had it bad.
You had it so bad that you briefly forgot you were behind enemy lines. That was, at least, until a bullet whizzed past your ear. That snapped you out of your daze pretty quickly. Not fast enough for you to dodge the bullet coming straight for your shoulder though. The pain that rippled through you was hot but not as hot as the annoyance of being shot at was. You sent a single bullet straight through the head of the goon who shot you first.
"Guys I've got some good news and some bad news."
"If you've got bullet holes in that new suit, Tony is literally going to kill you." Wanda spoke, her accent softening the words.
"Well, I guess I better start telling you what kind of flower arrangements I'd like for my funeral." You joked as you slowly made it to the extraction point.
"Don't die agent y/l/n"
"Damn. So formal. Lighten up Natty, I won't make you do a speech if you don't want to. I will, however, make sure Wanda mentions that in my final hours, you were so very cold and distant." Apparently being shot at gave you the confidence boost you very much needed in order to actually speak to Natasha.
"Hang on, I remember you literally stabbed Clint's hand when he called you Tashie and he's known you for years."
"Well, Clint wasn't delirious with bloodloss Wanda." A few more shots went off. "Head to the extraction point you two. We got what we came for."
Once we were all on the jet, Natasha started bandaging up your wound, careful not to touch it unnecessarily.
“I know I signed up for this and all, but… if I die, it’s still your fault and I will not hold back on blaming you.”
"Wow. Thank you y/n Don't blame the guy who shot you, blame the person trying to fix you up. You know if you would just sit still..."
You suddenly noticed how close you were to Natasha's plump lips. How easy it would be to just lean in slightly and capture them. With that in mind, you subconsciously began to move forward, feeling her lean in too, until a rough patch of turbulence placed some much-needed distance between you two. You could have sworn you heard Wanda mutter damn it but it was probably just your thoughts projecting.
~~~~~
By the time you had made it back to the tower, everyone had heard the news of how Natasha allowed you to live after calling her Natty.
"...even bandaged her up" Steve's voice echoed down the hallway as you, Wanda and Natasha made your way from the mission de-briefing. Maria had wanted you to go straight to medical but you had managed to convince her that not only was the job Natasha did good enough, but that Natasha was quite possibly in the wrong line of work considering her stitching was so good.
As you walked into the main living area, F.R.I.D.A.Y. started to play that "k.i.s.s.i.n.g" song that children sing.
"You are a CHILD TONY STARK!" Natasha shouted out. "I am going to kill him in the most painful ways possible."
"Well did you? Because from the interesting texts a young witch has sent, you came pretty close. " Tony sauntered out from an unknown location, standing in the center of the room with nothing but pyjama bottoms, a housecoat and a glass of what looked like whiskey. What happened next was pretty fast. Natasha launched herself at the billionaire. Steve tried to grab her midair as the whiskey came dangerously close to spilling over the sides of the glass. Natasha slid under Steve's legs and attached herself to Tony, putting him in a chokehold.
"One more word and you won't live to see another day."
You watched this all unfold and suddenly it dawned on you that perhaps the reason an international spy hadn't noticed your crush was because she was too focused on hiding her own.
"You're right you know." Wanda spoke quietly, watching Steve try to pry Natasha off a gasping Tony. "Literally everyone but you two could see that you have feelings for each other. We have bets going on. If you kiss her now, I win." She nudged me towards them with a wink "No pressure though. Although, if you were to help me win the bet, I'd split the money. All I really want are the bragging rites. Unless... that is you want Tony to win?"
You couldn't let Tony win. Over your cold dead body. With determination in your step, you walked over to where the supersoldier was still trying to save a now purple Tony. Natasha looked at you, loosening her hold just a fraction and you leaned in and kissed her. Sure, it was one of the most awkward positions you'd kissed someone in but it was worth it. Natasha let go of Tony instantly but only to wrap her arms around your neck and waist, pulling you deeper. Wanda clapping and whooping pulled the two of you from your trance. Your cheeks were as red as Natasha's hair and even the unflappable Natasha Romanoff was slowly turning the same shade as her hair.
"God damn it y/n You couldn't have waited a week." Tony threw his hands up in exasperation, a teasing look in his eye.
"Of course not. Wands had to win."
"I don't care what this is about. Come on y/n I'm taking you on a proper date. Right after we change out of these clothes." Natasha grabbed me by the hand.
She then stopped abruptly, dropping your hand "That is, if you want to?"
You picked her hand back up, smiling at her "Of course I do."
Hey does nie huisang's mother ever come back? I really liked the part where she doted and bonded with mingjue. I think even though she's not human she'd be even more delighted with him and more or less adopt him all over again after seeing how he cared so fiercely for huisang (also I don't think she'd care that guangyao has given up. Try to touch either of her kids and your a dead man... or maybe just mingjue? Since he's human and a LOT younger than her maybe she just goes around killing the people that have the capacity and wish to kill him)
spontaneous sequel to this morning’s fic (ao3 link here)
-
Huli jing were pretty rare, as spiritual beasts went, and that was generally considered to be a good thing - when they were bad, they were very very bad - but Nie Mingjue faithfully followed up on every possible lead regardless, putting it out among the other cultivation sects that he had a special interest and would appreciate - with monetary remuneration, even - a heads up should one ever show itself.
Mostly this meant following up on a lot of false leads, including, in one somewhat embarrassing case, an actual fox that had stolen the local farmer’s prize goose.
Still: family was family, and so he kept it up.
He had to stop during the war, naturally, and in the period immediately following it when his health had gotten very bad for a while, although luckily the dragon managed to fix it back up, and he’d been doing very well ever since. Lan Xichen had wondered if it was Clarity and Jin Guangyao had refused to talk to him for a month for some reason, but that wasn’t that important.
He was feeling better now, so he started following up on leads again. Nie Huaisang was coming up on his first quarter-century very soon, and that was supposed to be a big event - his first tail! - and books were all well and good but someone, anyone, with experience was better.
Ironically enough, he found what he was looking for on a scheduled hunt that wasn’t anything anyone had identified as a huli jing, but rather what appeared to be rather a great deal of nu gui appearing all at once near Lanling, enough to make a notorious womanizer like Jin Guangshan start to sweat. They’d all been making the rounds, all the various Great Sects together - even Jiang Cheng had joined in, as well as Lan Wangji, recently emerged from seclusion with a scowl firmly on his face.
“Why do you think they’re aiming at the Jin sect?” Lan Xichen wondered aloud as they walked around the edges of an abandoned village very close to Lanling - one of the trouble spots. “It’d be one thing if it were one of them, but so many...?”
“My theory is that someone is murdering all of Sect Leader Jin’s outside women so that they’ll go after him,” Jiang Cheng said, then glanced at Jin Guangyao. “No offense meant, of course.”
Jin Guangyao waved a hand dismissively. He’d started loosening up in the time since he met the dragon, revealing a bit more of his sharper and nastier side in a way that made Nie Mingjue respect him more than all of his fake softness had, and for some reason that had made Jiang Cheng warm right up to him. All for the good, in Nie Mingjue’s opinion, since they were all but co-raising that nephew of theirs...
“Who would do that, though?” he asked. “It’s as if they bear him a grudge, but it seems like a roundabout way of going about -”
“Dumpling!”
Nie Mingjue stopped moving.
There was a woman standing in the door to one of the village houses. Like a nu gui she was dressed all in red, but her flesh was ruddy and her complexion vibrant; her luxurious hair looped in a widow’s braids but her figure just as gorgeous as it had ever been.
She held out her hands towards Nie Mingjue, smiling. “Oh, cabbage bun, meat pie, my darling! How have you been?”
“...did she just...”
“Right to Chifeng-zun‘s face?”
Nie Mingjue put Baxia away.
“Mingjue-xiong?” Lan Xichen asked, frowning. “You should be careful; we had heard that this village was abandoned of all human life.”
“No one who calls Chifeng-zun a cabbage bun could be human,” Jiang Cheng mumbled under his breath.
“Second mother?” Nie Mingjue called tentatively as he approached, and ignored how the cultivators around him all abruptly went silent and slack-jawed. “Is that you?”
“Naturally,” she said. “You don’t think I’d miss my baby’s birthday, do you? After you did such a good job taking care of him, too! Oh, my little carp, I’m sorry it took so long. I had to cut one off to escape, you understand, and once you do that you’re really rather stuck until you gather enough power to get back to full strength...would’ve been a touch awkward, wouldn’t you say?”
She certainly talked about as much as Nie Huaisang, Nie Mingjue reflected.
“He’ll be happy to see you,” he said. If this was the wrong huli jing - and he wouldn’t be shocked if it was, what with the way they changed faces - and a trick was being played, it wouldn’t work on Nie Huaisang. “Were you planning on staying long? Just the birthday, or...?”
He wasn’t giving up Nie Huaisang to anyone at all, not even his birth mother.
“I hadn’t quite decided,” she said, nodding in a way that meant that she understood his meaning and didn’t intend to dispute it; he relaxed at the sight of her agreement. “I got a little distracted, actually. Don’t think I didn’t hear about what that nasty man tried to do to you!”
“Nasty man?” Nie Mingjue asked, puzzled. “Do you mean Wen Ruohan? That was ages ago.”
“Not him, my gooey little egg! That nasty Jin sect leader, all sly and underhanded tricks - not that I mind sly and underhanded tricks, of course, least of all murderous ones - but I mean, really. The gall of that man, thinking he could snap up my little morsel before I could!”
“...does she like Chifeng-zun or want to eat him?” Jiang Cheng whispered.
“Unknown,” Lan Wangji murmured back.
“Shhh,” Lan Xichen said. “A-Yao, are you all right? You’ve gone terribly pale...”
“Anyway, chicken wing, I decided to bring back all of his nightmares to haunt him,” she chattered on cheerfully, throwing her head haughtily, the eyes of all the men and women irresistibly followed the graceful lines of her neck and shoulders, though most of them were able to pull their eyes away a moment later. That was her mercy, rather than their strength; she was a strong enough huli jing to entrap a sect leader, and Nie Mingjue’s father had been no slouch, even if he had bad taste in bed partners. “It’s been ever so much fun.”
Nie Mingjue sighed. “Second mother,” he said. “I thought I asked you not to kill people? As a special birthday favor to me?”
“Oh, pork chop, I know! I haven’t forgotten - no killing people around you, I remember, I remember. I haven’t killed anyone...well, in connection with this, anyway. I just had a little chat with some of my underworld friends and brought the ones who’d already died back.”
Nie Mingjue’s eyes shot straight to a - by now - even more pale Jin Guangyao. “Uh,” he said. “By chance, second mother, did you happen to pass by Yunping...?”
“Such a sweet little tanghulu you are! I could pop you right into my mouth and never frown.” He was only a few steps away from her now, and she danced forward to pat him on the cheek. “Don’t worry! I know how much you care for your friends. I made sure not to send A-Shi anywhere those mean old cultivators could get her.”
“A-Yao! Oh, someone help me, I think he’s stopped breathing - come, sit down -”
“You really need to stop bringing back nu gui,” Nie Mingjue decided to say instead of dealing with...that. “They’re not getting past Jinlin Tower’s defenses anyway, and we’re worried about collateral damage.”
His second mother heaved a sigh. “I know, I know,” she said. “I had the same thought as you, meatball, about the defenses. You caught me just as I finished upgrading.”
Nie Mingjue didn’t like the sound of that.
“Of course, it isn’t working out right,” she added, pouting. “You’d think someone who got accused of being a demon so often wouldn’t be so picky about who he’s being asked to murder.”
“I already told you that I’m not a vicious ghost!” a surprisingly familiar voice retorted from inside the house. “I refuse to go around killing people!”
“Oh no - now Jiang Cheng’s fallen down, too! Wangji, could you - Wangji? Wangji!”
Nie Mingjue covered his face with his hand. “You brought back Wei Wuxian.”
“I brought back Wei Wuxian,” his second mother agreed. “I thought it’d be poetic justice - the wronged man come back for revenge. But he’s being persnickety about it, so I have half a mind to just let him go.”
“Good idea,” Nie Mingjue said, deciding to just - let it go. Someone else could deal with it. Possibly Lan Xichen, since it sounded like everyone else had fainted. “Anyway, you’re far too busy to pursue vengeance right now.”
“I am?”
“I know how much you like to throw parties. Don’t you want to help me plan Huaisang’s twenty fifth?”
“Oh!” She clapped her hands. “Absolutely! We can invite positively everyone that tried to get in your way and show off how good a job raising him you did!”
Nie Mingjue thought back over all the creatures he’d ever encountered.
“We’re going to need a bigger venue.”
All That Was Good
A/N: One of my many versions of "What if Jamie and Claire both passed through the stones before Culloden?" stories. This came about just this weekend and my brain would not stop until I wrote it down and shared it with you all. I know the 20-year separation of Jamie and Claire is one of the most used plots in the Outlander-verse (I, for one, am all for it) so here's my wee contribution to it! I'm bad at summaries but hope you like this wee one! As always, your comments and suggestions are very much welcome.
AO3
xxxxx
This cannot be it.
As their hands moved closer together to touch the stone, Claire’s heart was feeling a million emotions but her mind was clear with just one thing - Jamie.
This cannot be it.
In the three years they’ve been together, neither of them could’ve known just how much they’d mean to each other, depend on each other, care for each other, let alone, love each other - so deeply and passionately that they were willing to change history if it came to that.
This cannot be it.
“Goodbye, Claire” she felt his breath and lips in her temple as he pulled her closer to him by the waist, desperately trying to keep themselves together for as long as they could and engrain the memory of their bodies molded as one. And in the middle, was the miracle they prayed and hoped for who will never know his father and grow up with a family he deserved.
This cannot be it.
Her fingers can almost feel the roughness of the stone surface and the journey that will follow after. She wanted to turn her head and see his face one last time, beg him to release her from her promise and let her stay in this time. But time was running out. In the last seconds, Claire made her wish known again and again.
Me. Jamie. Our Baby. Our Family. Anywhere. Anytime. Together.
Me. Jamie. Our Baby. Our Family. Anywhere. Anytime. Together.
Me. Jamie. Our Baby. Our Family. Anywhere. Anytime. Together.
Claire expected the deafening buzz that usually came with the stones - but what was new was the blinding light that suddenly seemed to emit from it. She wondered if Jamie could see it since he couldn’t hear the buzz and she  got her confirmation when she heard Jamie exclaim a “What in the devil..?!” just before everything went black.
----
The journey to the stones is never easy. It feels like you're being taken apart and then weaved back together. It really takes a toll to the body.
Claire stirred to someone stroking her hair. Once her mind was a little bit more awake, she took a mental stock of herself. She felt whole, alive, and for some reason, she was sitting in some armchair with her head laid down on the table.
She slowly opened her eyes, cautious just in case she got affected somehow by the last light she saw and to prepare herself to know the aftermath of this trip.
“Thank Christ!” was the first sound she heard. “Are ye alright?"
Her mind raced, she needed to respond. In another effort to finally face her reality, she lifted her, fully opened her eyes and saw the two most worried ocean eyes boring straight into hers.
Her eyes widened at the sight before her. Impossible.
“Ja - Jamie?” she softly called out, a hand unsure to touch his face.
“Aye, tis me, Claire. Do ye remember me? I was afraid you wouldn’t recognize me” he replied.
“Jamie, oh my god!” her dizziness forgotten, she quickly stood up as Jamie did too and they held each other so tightly she was sure she couldn’t breath.
She pulled away and started inspecting every part of him she could. “Are you alright? What happened?!”
“I don’t know. All I remember was I brought ye to the stones, we we’re about to touch it when a light beamed through. Next thing I knew, I woke up leaning by that shelf, wearing this clothes, and saw you passed out here.”  Jamie shared.
“So you did see the light too! I haven’t experienced or seen that before so I thought it could’ve been just for me but...here you are.”
“Here I am” he said simply.
As their dizziness wore off and their mind became more rational, they needed to investigate fast on where and when they were.
Claire was wearing a white sleeveless shirtwaist dress, almost similar to the one she was wearing the first time she went through the stones, while Jamie was wearing a navy blue knitted shirt tucked in light brown fitted trousers.
They were definitely not in the 1740s anymore.
They were in an old scottish cottage, though obviously renovated and restored, with most of the items inside looking museum grade. A sign hanged up wrote “Old Leanach Cottage” and below it in smaller letters were the words “Culloden Moor” .
They were at Culloden.
Lastly, together they gravitated towards a notebook, a visitor log, and found that the year was 1948.
They were in Claire’s time.
Stunned and a little bit confused, Jamie and Claire looked at each other as the shock passed through them.
Impossible, indeed.
Claire and Jamie had more questions than answers and the place they currently were seemed different that what Claire was used to so both of them are pretty much out of place until they knew more about their present lives.
“Whatever this is, whatever has happened” Jamie’s firm voice broke the ice. “We’ll figure it out together.”
“Okay.” Claire replied. The unknowns were endless but with the strength of having Jamie by her side, there was nothing much to fear. “Of course” Claire nodded surely and then leaned her face to Jamie’s for a single deep kiss.
There’s always something that stirs between them whenever they kiss and they both smile at the fact that that feeling hasn’t gone away. Whatever they need it to be, it will be that. And right now, this kiss was a kiss of love, gratitude, comfort, and security.
Just as they were to pull away, they heard voices outside the cottage call for them.
“Jamie, Clare, are you guys finished?” a man’s voice asked.
Surprised by the interaction, Jamie’s first action was to protect Claire. His hands automatically reached out to his side where his sgian dubh always reside but he grasped for nothing in the air. Another reminder that they were in a different time.
“Jamie, those voices…”
“D’ye know them, Sassenach?”
Claire shook her head. Her mind was swirling - the voices we’re so familiar, she was sure she knew them - but she couldn’t put a name or a face.
“Come on, you two! Chop, chop! We still have a 3-hour ride ahead of us.” a woman’s voice followed.
“Should we just head out and see?” she asked. Jamie shrugged in agreement, took Claire’s hand, and led them out of the cottage.
Nothing could’ve prepared either of them for what was to happen next. They were both frozen in place as a couple turned around and in front of them is Henry and Julia Beauchamp.
“There you are!” Julie exclaimed. “What took you so long? We thought you’re only signing the visitor’s log book”. She noticed their confused looks, and slowly reached out a hand. “Are you guys...okay?”
Without another thought, Claire gravitated towards her parents and pulled her mother to a tight embrace and cried.
“Mama” Claire said softly.
“You haven’t called me that in a long time” Julie replied, hugging her daughter back. She pulled her daughter back when she felt a wetness in her shoulder. “Why are you crying?”
Claire didn’t reply but went to her dad and hugged him just as tight.  “While I do love this,” Henry began, “I’m not sure what’s going on.” He patted her back, “Claire?”
“I’m sorry, I…” Claire started to think of an explanation while wiping her eyes and fixing herself up. “I just missed you so much”
There was so much more she wanted to say, just in case this was all a dream, but her last words summarized what was at the core of it all.
“I know, we missed you guys too. It’s been almost a month since we got together and this is a little overdue. Do you think you can make it back the car, though? I really don’t want to miss lunch.” Henry teased.
“Let’s go! I don’t want to be late. You know how strict Brian and Ellen are with the lunch schedule. Last time we missed it, there were hardly any food left.” Julia followed.
It was Jamie’s turn to feel more disbelief. “I’m sorry, what?” He didn’t know how we found his voice but, at the moment, his mind had  life of its on and the words came flying out.
“What do you mean ‘what’? We’re on our way to see your parents at Lallybroch, James.”
"He Sees Your Beauty For The First Time" (Mukami Brothers Edition)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
-Ruki Mukami
Tumblr media
This plan to him was quite odd and he honestly didn't see which route this man was going. Yes he chose to be in cahoots with this man but only to be free... Coming to America was probably the oddest thing he's ever done.. of course moving from home to here was simple, no commotion.. but he could tell his brothers were on edge.
Ruki, after the whole livestock-Yui- dying thing... He most definitely blamed it on the other brothers... I mean who wouldn't... Anyways, after that he didn't know what he was doing still following orders for Karlheinz. Did he have something planned or... did he just do this to cause some ruckus?
Ruki didn't see any issue with going to school here, especially since the blood smelt oddly amazing... but he doesn't have any interest in anyone here... he can say that the females here are quite expressive and they sort of have their own flow... though when his eyes gazed upon someone else.. his eyes widened..
The male didn't expect to see such beauty casted before his eyes. The sunlight was beaming off the darker skin of a girl. Her eyelashes long and her attire.. not so slutty, but enough to show off her curves. Ruki wasn't blind to American knowledge, and he knows you're a black woman obviously... Though he can't understand why he hasn't seen this in person.
"(Y/n) (L/n)... please answer question thirty five... just to see if you understand...?"
Ruki watched as your eyes glared the teacher, he could already tell from where he was sitting.. that you were a handful... though that only caused him to make up these scenarios in his mind... he wanted you to be his of course, he wanted to rip the attitude away from you... make you call him master... and in his way of thinking... he already knew of a way to get you hooked...
Let's just say, later on in the week... his body was in front of you... that nasty smirk casted on his face... listening to your loud beating heart.. he already had you under his control.. well.. mostly.
"A woman.. such as yourself would know how to properly cover that up..."
"Ruki you don't own me-..."
"Control your language when talking to your master, hm? Also, this..."
He hooked his finger under the tight collar that was around your neck. How did he get you to wear that you may ask? Because he's hot..
"This says otherwise..."
-Kou Mukami
Tumblr media
The only brother really taking it hard? Though not so much because he found out that he has actually more fans here than.... over at his old school. Reasons unknown... though he wasn't complaining.. especially with the millions of different toned females.. Kou had never seen such beauty...
Kou is used to the pale skin, he himself has pale skin... though seeing these other females who had brown skin, dark skin... his first thought was 'goddesses..?' But that wasn't the case. He also liked the different scents of blood. They were all oddly stronger than more paler people.. he just couldn't wait to sink his teeth into one of them... one of them would have to be fascinated with him.
The females in this school tend to be more on the sneaky side of things, Kou noticed that but his hearing is enhanced so he listens to conversations when he passes by... he may give the girl a flirty smile too... only to see her cover her mouth and look away in embarrassment.
Kou also noticed how many people had earbuds in, closing themselves from the outside world. But he was more interested in this one girl who was sitting alone at lunch. Her hair was so pretty to him, as well as the nails that happened to match her outfit.. he could tell people fawned over her.. considering the people staring at her.. though he couldn't help but realize that she didn't care... softly mumbling the most seductive words to a song with her glossy lips...
He wanted to see her under him, he wanted to see her moaning his name.. Let's just say he's pretty close to doing so... because it wasn't a week later until he had you interested in him.
"Kou, don't fuckin play with me..."
"If you'd like your phone back, kitty... you'll have to give me something in return~!"
"Damn Whatchu want? Not me because you... can't handle me..."
Kou loved your sass... to the point where he did things like this.. just to see you try to get rough with him..
"Kitty... that's where you're wrong.."
-Yuma Mukami
Tumblr media
Yuma wouldn't say... he didn't like this huge change.. he wouldn't say he liked it either.. he was in the firm middle. Obviously he has to plant new tomatoes in his new garden.. and he obviously has to get used to the new people.. they seemed aggressive like him so he actually found it funny...
He found himself being stared at most the time because well, he is tall.. but he also is quite fine. Yuma figured these girls were crazy, he wouldn't say he didn't have fangirls at his old school but they were mostly into his other brothers or the Sakamaki brothers.. but it seemed like he got the more attention now...
He even found himself being invited to watch a whole cheerleading practice.. in which Kou came along because he'd never seen a cheerleading team before.. their old school didn't allow it.
Anyways, Yuma figured he'd be bored about this whole thing but he ended up choking on a sugar cube when he saw one of the girls on the floor doing a dance routine that caused her thighs to jiggle like jello... and the way she moved... she did it fiercely... We all know Yuma likes rude females... so when he heard how loud you were, commanding the other girls to follow your lead... he felt his ears get red.
The dude was in such a trance, especially since your hair was in a cute puff/bun with braids/bun. He also couldn't help but stare at your skin, yeah everyone else had the same dark skin... different shade of course but yours mixed with your beauty was alluring.
He then noticed that the females stopped cheering and your (e/c) eyes were staring right at him when you walked up the bleachers... a smirk casting upon your face when you grabbed your bag that was right beside him...
Oh yeah, he wanted to see you in action... so to test your limit.. over the past weeks he's just been being such a child... but you were used to it at this point.
"Oi, get ya panties outta my Damn face"
You just rolled your eyes as you stood up straight from bending over, looking back at him.
"Shut the fuck up befo I chop yo Dick off... don't play with me..."
Yuma didn't know he loved aggressive girls until now.. like.. in his mind he was like 'please do'
"I wanna see ya try, dumbass..."
-Azusa Mukami
Tumblr media
Maybe this whole moving thing was a bit frustrating to him as well... but when arriving to America... he noticed a few things... there were people who didn't know how to stop staring but there were also people who tend to mind their business..
People would always criticize him but now it's like.. nobody was really bold enough to do so.. It made him feel more better about doing the things he does.. Though there was multiple teachers asking if he was alright.. and actually he couldn't really respond to them.. so they let him go most of the time.. right now he was in the nurses office... some teacher saw him with a deep cut...
Anyways, Azusa was sure his brothers were frantically looking for him.. considering when Azusa leaves a spot from them.. it's never alright or good..? They were also in a whole new area...
"I'll be with you in a moment (y/n).."
The deep and rich scent coming from around the corner made him slightly jolt. He wasn't expecting such a nice scent to burst into this room.. though when he saw your chocolate/caramel skin come through the door... he immediately forgotten that staring wasn't really something you shouldn't do in America. Though he couldn't stop, his eyes hazily looking up to the top of your head. He noticed that your eyelashes were pretty and long, your lips smelled like cherry, he could smell it from where he was sitting.. but he would compare you to a nice piece of chocolate.. even though he doesn't really.. eat.
Apparently you had a deep cut from a box... you were helping one of the teachers out and got punished for it? That was just rude of the box...
Anyways, your (e/c) eyes looked around before landing on Azusa. His eyes softly staring at you, and lord did he look sad.. his whole aura was depressing but also happy? You gave him a light smile and it made his stomach flutter... just smiling back slowly as he looked down at his hands in his lap... you were pretty to him.. and you had this sense of love coming from you... like a mother..
Over time, his brothers noticed him acting somewhat different? Eventually he'd gotten advice and now you were just so attached to him.
"Azusa, baby.. I know you can't help it but..." you couldn't say more, you just started wrapping up his wounds.
"I'm... sorry (y/n)....."
"I know... don't worry bout it.."

-Six got kidnapped while in the forest
- The Pretender's dolls have tape on their neck with the name of the kid they represent.
-RCG loves makeup *hint hint*
-RCG ends up becoming the Pretender in order to save her skin. That's her place in the loop.

-The Craftsman likes sculpting but clay is too fragile for dolls so he works with wood instead.
-The Craftsman makes Porcelain dolls for the Teacher
-Six looks up to RCG and sees her as a Sister.
-Up until RCG locks her out of the barn

-RCG's "death" hurt Six so much that she vowed never to trust anyone else again
Fair warning this get's REALLY long
LN2:
-Six comes back from the Nest but gets trapped in the school for a few weeks. She resolves to violence to survive there. There Six learns to get her stomach of steel.
-When Six escapes and goes back to the Hunter's shack she sees that the Hunter (Her father most likely) is not the same.
-The Hunter chases after Six thinking she's just another kid. (Which is why he shoots her when she's running away in the comics)
-When Six sees Mono he just escaped from that place (orphanage? Different school)
-They feel a connection but aren't sure why.
-When the Hunter sees Six he realizes who she is and takes her back to the shack, giving Six her old music box.
-The Hunter takes care of her (even if he is corrupted by the signals) and feeds her.
-Six starts feeling safe until Mono breaks in to "save" her.
-Six not wanting to get hurt again tries to run from Mono and then the game continues.
-The Hunter only wants to keep Six safe with him hence why he shoots Mono.
-When they got stuck in the shack six doesn't want to use the shotgun but Mono insists that its the only way (and e's right but still)
-Six leaves the shed quickly trying to run from the sick feeling in her stomach.
-Six introduces herself to Mono for the first time on their way to the school.
-Before they enter the School they play in the playground
-Some of the bullies in the school are actually nice and just want to stay out of trouble but are often peer pressured into bullying their peers.
-While in disguise Mono actually befriends a few of them briefly.
-Mono tries to break up that one fight between the three bullies but nearly gets his "head" knocked off so he just leaves.
-Throughout the entire School level Mono is inwardly panicking and blaming himself for letting Six get caught.
-When Mono saves Six she finally breaks down. Mono hugs her and hums the tune of her music box to make her feel better.
-Six jokingly suggests they chop the Teacher's head off and is surprised when Mono agrees.
-They play in the rain for a while until Six gets too cold and starts getting sick.
-Six puts on the raincoat as a homage to RCG and because it's raining.
-Mono has spare paper bags (and his head is probably cardboard :/)
-In the Hospital Mono and Six play with the X-ray and Stuffed animals for a few hours.
-Mono lets Six keep her duck but Six leaves it behind.
-Mono breaks down after the mannequins and Six (having the social skills of an agoraphobic lobster) repeats what he did for her as best as she can
-After seeing how badly Mono reacted to the Mannequin hands she grabs one and tortures it as revenge.
-Mono: Pogchamp Six. Pogchamp
-Mono burns the doctor alive because in his eyes the Doctor forced these people to be horrific abominations. Also for petty revenge
-Mono and Six warm up by the fire and take a good long nap.
-Six gets scared every time Mono goes into the TV's because she's afraid he'll go in and never come out.
-When Mono released the Thin Man Six tried her best to try and bring her with him but he kept fighting her every time she touched him so she left him in tears.
-When the Thin Man is released, he is "freed" from his form of escapism and tries to kill Mono but takes Six because she looks familiar
-When Six realizes Mono has the better hiding spot she tries to run to him but trips and calls out his name desperately.
-Six has flashbacks of RCG abandoning her like Mono.
-When she screams when she gets caught, she's screaming Mono's name.
-Mono traverse's alone blaming himself and at one point nearly jumps off the roof.
-Mono huts himself repeatedly because of his cowardice. Leaving a bunche of bruises on his face.
-The Thin Man walks toward Mono in an attempt to seem non-threatening because he's gotten over his initial anger and is now trying to save Mono from the world
-When Mono breaks his ribs on the train Shadow Six appears and tries to encourage Mono and make him feel happy again
-In the fight between Mono and the Thin Man, the Thin Man speaks in a different frequency that Mono can't hear.
-Mono literally, twists and bends the Thin Man to death (as in he snaps every bone and breaks every vertebrae).
-Monster Six is blissfully unaware of what she turned into but remembers Mono.
-She acts like a shy puppy around him
-Mono cries and blames himself for what happened to Six.
-They stay there for a while as Mono figures out what to do to get Six out (She doesn't want to leave but he doesn't realize that)
-Mono breaks the Music Box out of desperation
-When they run away Six is processing everything that happened, feeling the same rage the thin Man felt.
-We were safe here. I was safe here and you ruined it. You ruined everything
-Six drops Mono on impulse and immediately regrets it.
-The Eyes act like caretakers for Mono, trying to distract him from remembering Six and raising him to be a gentleman.
-Mono's ideal escapism is one where he can't feel pain.
-But to avoid pain you must also avoid happiness.
-Now Mono doesn't feel anything at all.
-Mono turns into the Thin Man and when Mono releases the Thin Man all those emotions basically sucker punch him in the gut (So he's pissed off and depressed at the same time.)
-Six starts feeling hungry because of all those years stuck in the tower OR because her soul is out of her body
-Shadow Six glares at Six but realizes they both need to survive to come back and save Mono. Shadow Six gestures to the picture of the Maw...
LN:
-Since the Lady has everything she wants the Mirror Monster tortures her by showing her what a monster she is.
-The Lady speaks only Japanese and doesn't like loud noises (which is why she almost never leaves her residence)
-Roger cares for the kids and tries to take care of them the best he can but he's blind is kept in the dark of what happens in the Maw.
-The Twin chefs both have problems. One can't taste and one can't smell.
-If the Twin chefs were humans (or could leave) they would try and start a cooking show.
-The reason the Twin Chefs cook/kill Six is that they think she's a rat. (Can't see very well with those masks)
-The Bellman isn't seen in the game because he's loading the Guest's suitcases into their rooms.
-The Ferryman brings kids to the Maw because he wants to save them from the world outside.
-The Maw only starts using kids when they begin to run low on supplies. The Lady doesn't care though. She used to at one point...
-Six hugs the Nomes because they remind her of when Mono wore the Nome cap.
-Six starts forgetting more and more of her life, only remembering vague things.
-The kids around the fire are all eaten by leeches or caught by the Janitor
-Shadow Six is Six's soul/child spirit. She'll want to play with the Nomes and she resents Six for dropping Mono.
-When Six's hunger gets worse Shadow Six starts dissipating more and more.
-Six never learns that RK becomes a Nome and doesn't know they're human.
-Six stopped and listened to the Lady's humming for a moment because it sounded familiar.
-When Six eats the Lady Shadow Six is at her weakest state.
-Six kills the guests so that she can free the other kids. But realizes the Maw is the safest place for them.
-Six hires a blind Janitor without even looking at how he looks and the Bellman has to clean up the mess she left behind.
-Six starts forgetting more and more of her past. Until she wakes up one day and sees a child. She turns them into a Shadow kid to feed her hunger.
-Shadow Six is nowhere to be seen at this point.
-Six pisses off the Mirror Monster and he starts torturing her.
-Then Six starts putting on a mask that she felt looked...familiar.

Relationships: Reggie x Reader, Sunset Curve x Reader, JATP x Reader
Warnings: Fluff?
Words:  4,165
Tumblr media
Your life has been pretty ordinary for the past 16 years. A life pretty much every person would call boring was a life you wouldn’t change for the world’s most expensive things. Until you met Reggie and the other boys from Sunset Curve. You say boys, but it would be much more accurate if you said ghosts. Sunset Curve was a ghost band from the 90’s that popped into your life one night when you were helping your best friend Julie clean up her mother’s studio.
2 months earlier…
A text from Julie comes in when you’re doing your homework on your bed whilst watching reruns of Friends on your laptop. The show makes for good background noise, you find. “911!” Worry rises within you as you read the call-for-help text from your best friend. “U ok?” you text back. Three dots begin dancing on the screen, raising suspense. “Do u wanna come help me clean out mom’s studio? :( x” A soft smile plays at your lips whilst more dots appear. “Don’t think I can do it by myself.” You close the Netflix app on your laptop and get up to put some proper pants on. You had the habit to kick your jeans off the second you got home. Prancing around in your underwear after a tough day at school has become one of your favorite things to do, but Julie might not appreciate that too much, nor would the neighbors. “OMW!” you quickly text back and hop into your Vans before heading down to the Molina house. You find your best friend behind the grand piano, looking up at the chair-decorated ceiling of the shed. Something Julie’s mom did with a superstitious meaning you’d kind of forgotten. Neither you nor Julie believed it, to be fair. “Hey,” you greet softly, making her look at you. A smile appears on her lips, glad you’d be willing to come over and help. Like you’ve been so many times last year when her mother died. You’d be there to listen to her talk about all the memories with her mom, or to hug her as she cried because she missed her.  This is just another part of the grieving process she needs to get through, and you’re there to hold her hand all the way through it. “Are you okay?” you ask, walking towards the piano and leaning your forearms on it. “Yeah, it’s just a little weird to be here…” she says as her eyes start scanning the entire space. “There are so many memories of her in here.” Her fingers glide across the piano keys. “Yeah, I know,” you whisper, not wanting to bring up anything that might hurt her. You remember the days you’d come over to play with Julie and you’d hear her mom singing in her studio. You remember when you’d make music together with Carrie and her dad and Julie’s mom. There are so many unfinished songs about bunnies and puppies from when you were kids, and even some more recent ones about the person you had a crush on or about that boy that broke your heart when you were fifteen. Those songs are now stored away in the back of your mind, waiting for the day Julie would start singing again. Along with all those memories you put on tape.  “Let’s get crackin’!” you tap the top of the piano in a rhythmic beat before stepping away and holding out your hands for Julie to take. The girl gets up from the stool behind the piano and carefully places her hand in yours. You pull her away from the piano and halt in the middle of the garage, looking up to the loft that suddenly seems very looming. Both of you know whatever’s up there is the ghost of a musician’s past, and not even Julie’s mom’s. No, all the instruments up there are from the people that used to live here. Julie never told you, but you’re certain Carrie’s dad used to live here when he was a child and sold his parents’ house to Julie’s parents when they died. You’d noticed the way Trevor always stood in the doorway, glancing around with soft eyes and a tender smile tugging at his lips. Almost like he’s reminiscing about his past. Besides, he’s accidentally slipped up a few times when talking about his childhood, saying he used to play around here with some of his buddies. No one else ever mentioned it, so you didn’t either. There’s probably a good reason for him not to speak about his past in too much detail. You climb up the stairs first and step up on the wooden floor, letting your eyes scan over all the junk up here. Keyboards, old guitars, drumsticks, even an entire drum kit, along with bags and backpacks, all strewn around the place. “Y/N,” Julie’s voice makes you snap out of your thoughts. You look down to find Julie still on the stairs, half of her body in he loft. She’s holding a CD up to show you. “Sunset Curve?” you read aloud from the black CD case. “Never heard of that band.” “Let’s give it a listen?” she suggests and after receiving an agreeing nod from you, she climbs down again, followed by yourself. She places the CD into the stereo whilst you sit down on the couch. Julie presses play and joins you. “1-2-3 Take off, last stop Countdown till we blast open the top Face first, full charge--” The music fades away as it’s overpowered by a loud screeching noise. You look over at Julie, who has her hands up to her ear to cover them from the noise. Your eyebrows knit together, confused as to what’s happening. It might just be a fault in the production of the song? Or maybe a scratch on the CD? Before you can even come up with a decent reason, a bright flash lights up the entire garage, followed by a loud thud. And, when you look up, you find three boys in the middle of the studio, scrambling up from where they’d come down harshly. You and Julie quickly get up from the couch, wanting to take a closer look at the scene in front of you.  “Woah! How did we get back here?” One of them says, confused about his surroundings. Julie lets out an ear-piercing scream before running out of the garage, leaving you with those three boys. You have no clue what’s happening, and you don’t know what to do either. Should you run and hide like Julie? Or should you just wait and see if they have a reason for being here? “Hello!” one of them yells excitedly, making you snap out of your train of thoughts. It’s the dark-haired boy with the red flannel tied around his waist that’s talking to you. “I’m sorry, who are you and what are you doing in our studio?” Your eyes widen at this. They think this is their studio? “I-I’m… I’m sorry, gimme a second,” you say, holding up your finger. The boy nods curtly before you dash out of there too, running up to Julie’s room with the question haunting your head ‘Who are they? And why do they think it’s their studio?’ After a while, you and Julie pluck up the courage to go back into the garage, armed with a cross since Julie’s positive they’re ghosts. Turns out they are. They -- along with Google -- explain they’re three ghosts that used to be in a band called Sunset Curve and that they died after eating bad hotdogs in ‘95. Luke, Reggie and Alex introduce themselves to you, and from that moment on, you’re certain these three ghost boys will change your life forever. And they do.
Present day
To say your life has changed since the day those boys came into your life is an understatement. It went from studying while watching Friends in your room to going out to their gigs almost every Saturday and sitting in on their rehearsals every day after school. You, along with Julie, have grown very close to the boys in the last five months. They’ve become your best friends you could talk to about everything and anything. But the most special connection you have, is with Reggie. Ever since that day, the boy hasn’t left you alone. Every time you’re at the Molina house, he’ll poof in, wherever you are. Whether you’re getting a drink or a snack in the kitchen, or  you’d just come out of the bathroom, he’d be there. This caused a lot of heart attacks, but also a lot of deep conversations.
Especially if he came to your own house. This was mostly when he’d had a bad day or missed his old life or his parents. He’d poof into your room and just tell you to do whatever you were doing, that he just wanted to hang out. After a few times, you didn’t even ask anymore and he didn’t have to tell you to just continue whatever you were doing. Those nights even ended with the two of you cuddling, which is something  you realized you could do for some unknown reason. But you liked it, so you didn’t think too much about it.  Today is Friday, which means it’s the last big rehearsal before the boys and Julie have their gig tomorrow night. And though you’d much rather be there with them, you have to watch your little siblings for the night since your parents have gone out to a dinner party. You’re making some popcorn in the kitchen for all of you to munch on when watching a movie, when Reggie suddenly poofs in, making you jump. You hadn’t expected him to come in this early, which causes the worry to well up inside of you. Something must’ve happened. “Reg, you okay?” you ask in a hushed voice, glancing back at the kids in front of the tv. “No…” he murmurs, wringing his flannel in his hands. He looks sad, sadder than when he misses his old life, which means something really bad must’ve happened. “Gimme a second,” you say and turn to leave the kitchen. Reggie smiles a little as those words remind him of the first words you ever said to them. “Kids, it’s time for bed!” Moans and whines come from the little kids on the sofa, protesting their early bedtime. “No complaining! Chop chop!” you rushed them up the stairs before returning to the kitchen. “Get yourself comfy on the couch, I’m just gonna put them to bed real quick, okay?” Reggie nods agreeingly and watches you walk away again. He grabs the bowl of popcorn you’d prepared and takes it into the living room. Even though he can’t eat, he’d want you to snack on it since you’re the one that made it. “Sorry it took so long. They can be really stubborn sometimes,” you exhale frustratedly as you plop onto the couch next to Reggie. “Now, tell me, what’s going on?” “So, I suggested to Luke we’d try this song I wrote a while ago,” he starts solemnly. “Home is Where My Horse is?” you ask, remembering him writing that up in your room. You’d even helped him on some verses.  “Yes, that one! But he just rejected it… Again!” he sighs exasperatedly, throwing his head back on the backrest of the couch. “Yelled at him that he didn’t appreciate my talent and just poofed out,” he chuckles airily, and you do too. “I’m sorry Luke isn’t more open to your creativity, Reg… I really wish I could help you somehow, if I knew something I--” you stop in your tracks as an idea pops into your head. “What is it, Y/N?” he asks, getting excited as it seems you have an idea.  “What if we film you singing the song and upload it on YouTube?” you suggest, eyes twinkling at the idea alone. He nods excitedly at first, but then slows down when he realizes he has no clue what you’re talking about. “What’s a YouTube?” he asks. You let out a giggle before grabbing his hand and leading him towards the dining table where you’d left your laptop. You open it on the site and show him the home page filled with different types of recommended videos. “It’s a platform where people can post videos of whatever they like. A lot of artists use it for their music videos nowadays. It’s where I posted ‘Edge of Great’ a few weeks ago,” you explain.
He peers at the screen with wide, intrigued eyes. You then lean forward and type in ‘Queen don’t stop me now’ before hitting enter. Reggie’s eyes widen even more as you press play on the music video.
“I could film you with my dad’s equipment and edit the whole thing together and upload it. At least then the world will see how truly talented you are and maybe Luke might change his mind too?” He eagerly nods his head in agreement, getting excited about the whole idea. Besides him being able to prove to his band that his country songs are worth taking a second look at, it’s also a good opportunity for you to test out some new techniques.
So, on Saturday, the two of you get up at the crack of dawn -- or you do since ghosts don’t really sleep -- and make your way down to the riding club your little brother goes for riding classes. You’re acquainted with the owners, so they’ll let you film whatever you need around there. Doesn’t even matter if it looks like you’re not filming anything. “Okay, you ready?” you mutter as you set up the first scene. He’s currently sitting on a picnic bench with his guitar in his lap and the stables in the background. Your camera is set up in front of Reggie with the stable doors on each side of his head, perfectly balanced. You simply nod your head curtly as his ‘action’ sign. He immediately starts strumming his guitar and singing out his self-made words. “Home, what is it really? Sometimes it’s a someone and not a place, It’s that feeling of being safe, It’s about who you’re with at the end of the day…” You spent the entire day running around the ranch, letting Reggie sing his song multiple times in different locations. You even film a couple of nature shots to edit in later. This is just going to be the greatest music video you’ve ever made, and it’s all thanks to Reggie. Your Sunday is spent behind your laptop, editing Reggie’s footage until it’s turned into a somewhat coherent video. “Hey!” Reggie poofs into your room late that night. “Where’ve you been? You missed movie night!” he asks, worry laced in his voice. You don’t even take your eyes off your screen. It’s almost finished just a few more… Yes! “I just finished editing your video! Wanna see?” He nods his head excitedly, so you make some room for him on the chair you’re sitting on. He seems hesitant at first, but eventually sits down on the very edge. Your entire side that’s touching his tingles. It’s always been a weird feeling to touch him, but this is from an entirely new calibre. You rewind the video and press play. There’s a shot of the surrounding nature at first and some horses galloping in the distance whilst the strumming of his guitar floats out of the laptop. Then the camera pans to Reggie on the picnic bench with his guitar. “Home, what is it really? Sometimes it’s a someone and not a place, It’s that feeling of being safe, It’s about who you’re with at the end of the day… and for me” The picture changes to Reggie looking out into the meadows, watching the horses frolic around in the grass with a couple of shots of him playing his guitar as he’s walking along with the horses. “Home is where my horse is! Riding through trees by the river Feel the summer breeze smile gettin’ bigger Home is where my horse is Don’t need a house or a roof I just put on the saddle, lace up my boots  Cuz home is where my horse is” In the next few shots, you’re even in it. Reggie had grabbed your camera and placed it on the grass before grabbing your hand and pulling you out into the meadow with him to dance. It probably looked most ridiculous to any bystanders, but the footage is too pretty not to use. You can just about see two silhouettes dancing around over the grass with a flare of sunlight breaking in and giving it a magical flair. “I don’t need the streets Don’t need the city lights I don’t need a fancy car I just hop on my horse and ride” You’d filmed a couple of the riders too, since Reggie himself couldn’t really ride a horse seeing he’s a ghost and everything. But it made for some good footage to set the scene of the song properly. “Home is where my horse is! Riding through trees by the river Feel the summer breeze smile gettin’ bigger Home is where my horse is I see the beautiful beast running up to me And I know I’m home” The song ends and the screen fades to black, Reggie vanishing as he looks out into the meadow again. You look up at real-life ghost Reggie with expectant eyes. He’s just staring at the black screen for a moment, mouth ajar and eyes wide. “Woah!” he finally mutters. “That was amazing, Y/N! Show me that again!” he exclaims excitedly. Of course you oblige and show him again. This time, he points out everything he loved. “This is my favorite part!” he says, pointing at the screen as the two of you are shown dancing. You can’t help but smile at how excited he gets over this collaboration. “So, can I upload it?” you ask when the screen fades again. “What?! Of course! Put it on the Tube-thing!” he claps his hands excitedly and watches as you open the site and start the upload on the Julie and The Phantoms channel. You had edited their Edge of Great video when Ray asked your father to help him film, so you pretty much had the right to do this, even if Julie might say otherwise. “There we go! It’s set to upload in about five minutes!” you say and turn to Reggie, almost forgetting how close he’s sitting until he’s literally mere inches away. You can actually feel his hot breath tickling your lips. A wave of warmth rushes through you when you catch his eyes darting from your lips to your eyes and back again. “You’re really talented, you know that?” You simply hum in response to this compliment, not that you agree with him, but you don’t know what else to do. You’re completely frozen in place. His eyes are so pretty up close. They’re the most beautiful shade of green you have ever seen, especially with that twinkle in them. “Can I kiss you?” his soft voice makes you snap out of your thoughts about those dreamy eyes.     “Wh--what?” you stutter, hoping you did hear that right, but not wanting to assume. “C-can I kiss you?” he repeats, his voice just above a whisper.
“Yeah.” Your voice wavers ever so slightly. Reggie’s eyes flutter close as he leans in to press his lips to yours. There’ve been times you dreamed about doing this, but you never thought you’d actually be able to kiss him. The ability to touch him was a surprise and a miracle, you didn’t think this would be possible too. A bleep coming from your computer causes you to pull away abruptly. You just about catch the smile on Reggie’s face before you turn to the screen, madly blushing yourself. “It’s ready to go!” you state excitedly and start typing up a description for the video. “What are you doing?” he asks, peering over your shoulder. “Typing up a little description for the fans, or whoever watches,” you reply as your fingers stilt for a second to think about what else to write. “Home is Where My Horse is, a Reggie original. Written and performed by your favorite bassist, Reggie Peters. Filmed and edited by Y/N Y/L/N. Special thanks to Hold Your Reins Ranch.” He reads the little text aloud. “Nice,” he nods his head, impressed by your abilities with this foreign platform. “And we’re live!” you inform him as you have pressed the post button. “Thanks, Y/N,” he says with a soft smile, making you look at him again. “I’m just gonna kiss you again, is that okay?” You nod your head before closing the distance between the two of you and kissing him again. This is not what you’d expected to come from this project, but you’re glad it had. This feels right. That night, you send Julie a message with the link to the video. “Give the boy a chance. This is an actual bop!” you sent along with it. You’re a little scared you might’ve overstepped and shouldn’t have suggested making this video for Reggie and you definitely shouldn’t have posted it to the Julie and The Phantoms YouTube channel. It probably wasn’t your place to mingle into a band conflict, but you couldn’t handle seeing Reggie so upset.
“Get ur talented ass to the studio. NOW,” Julie’s text reads. It sounds a little passive-aggressive, but you still obey and hop into some pants and shoes before heading down the other end of the street where the Molina house stands. “‘Sup, kids?” you say when you find the boys and Julie on the couch, throwing up a peace sign. The bubbliness might camouflage the nerves building up inside you. “Care to explain yourself, miss Y/L/N?” Julie starts with her arms crossed and a scowl on her face. You glance over at Reggie. He’s glancing down at the rings around his fingers. “I’m sorry, Jules. But I really think you ought to give this boy and his horse a chance!” you aggressively point at the boy in question, whose head snaps up at this. Now he’s looking at you with a scared, yet tendered expression on his face.    “I was joking, babes,” Julie mutters, holding her hands up in defense. “We didn’t think you’d react this defensive over this…” Your eyebrows knit together as confusion takes over you. “Wh-what do you mean?” you question. “Your video has been viewed over a thousand times already and it’s only been up for about two hours, Y/N,” Julie explains and turns her laptop for you to see the view count at 1,327. Your breath hitches in your throat at the large number. That’s how many people have seen your work? I mean, you would’ve watched it that many times in a row yourself because that song is actually amazing. These people are stupid for not giving it a chance earlier. “Woah, Reg! That’s a lot of people hearing your song!” you exclaim excitedly. The boy gets up from the couch and walks over to you with a proud smile on his face. “Actually….” he starts and scrolls down on the laptop. You taught him how to do that. “They’re loving your camerawork and editing!” He shows you all the comments underneath the video. The reactions are divided evenly between praise for the song and praise for your work. “Wha--” your eyes dart from Reggie to Alex, then to Luke and Julie. “We had a band meeting and we want you to become our band’s official videographer,” Alex announces with that soft smile of his plastered on his lips. Your mouth drops in disbelief. You’ve always loved videography and editing, but you always saw it as something fun, not as an official band thing. After months of sitting in rehearsals and watching gigs, you’re finally going to be part of the band. Or close enough to being a part of the band. “What do you say, babe?” Reggie asks when you’ve been quiet for a good minute. Luke and Alex exchange glances at the sudden use of pet names. That’s new. “I mean, it could be cool?” you shrug humbly. The band cheers, Alex and Luke even high five. Before you can even go over to hug Julie, Reggie’s already cupped your face and crashes his lips to yours. You’ll never get used to that feeling. “That’s new,” you hear Alex say when the two of you pull away. You need a good second to cool it after that passionate kiss, but once you do, you beckon the others over for a group hug. “Thank you, guys,” you whisper and press a kiss to Julie’s hair as a thank you. From that day on, you’re not only known as the Julie and The Phantoms videographer, but also as the cute bassist’s girlfriend. To say your life has drastically changed since meeting these boys would be the understatement of the year.

Tumblr media
Your mum was standing in front of your bed while you laid on the double bed, she'd just informed you that she was in the middle of arranging a marriage for you.
"You want me to marry a stranger?" You asked looking over at her as she walked around your room, she stopped at your dressing table and looked at the tiara that was sitting there.
"It won't be like that and you knew it was coming. You're of age now." You sighed looking down at your silk bed sheets, you knew she was right but it didn't make the situation any better.
"I know but marrying a stranger? Shouldn't I know them beforehand?" She sighed looking over at you but you weren't looking at her, you were staring at the photo of you and Prince Jungkook from the neighbouring town.
"Would you prefer if it was someone you knew?" You hummed looking at the photo not paying attention to what she was saying, you were too busy thinking about when the photo was taken.
Tumblr media
Jungkook was slinging back another drink and handing you another one, you'd snuck out of your castle with him and you were going around the village drinking together. Neither of you in your usual prince and princess attire, switching into jeans for Jungkook and a random t-shirt and you were wearing a flowing black dress with spaghetti straps it was relaxing.
"I never knew we could have so much fun." You giggled throwing down another shot and looking at Jungkook and then over his shoulder, a group of girls were all staring at him and you felt a twinge of jealously washing over you. Girls had been coming up to him all night to tell him how hot he was and how much they wanted his number which he naturally declined.
"We should get more!" You yelled dragging his attention away from them, though Jungkook would never admit it to you he loved the attention he was getting from them but you hated it. He was your best friend and you knew you shouldn't feel that way about it him but you couldn't help it.
"I'll go and order." You whispered when the group of girls came up to you, giving you dirty looks until you walked away going over to the bar to order some more shots. You kept sneaking glances over at Jungkook who was flexing his arms for the girls and you scoffed at him, leaning over the bar to order when you felt a slap across your ass.
"Excuse you!" You yelled turning around to see a 6'3 guy smirking down at you, he was biting down on his bottom lip and looking you up and down as if you were a piece of meat.
"You're excused gorgeous." You scoffed at him and took the tray of shots over to Jungkook who'd seen the whole thing and was starting to bubble with anger that someone had touched you like that.
"Who was that?" He asked through gritted teeth, you shrugged your shoulders and took one of the shots.
"I don't know but if he touches me again I'll chop his hands off." Jungkook chuckled at you and downed another shot.
You were in another bar now both of you were equally as wasted as the other and you were leaning by the door getting ready to leave when the same man who had slapped your ass earlier came over,
"You ready to go home with me baby?" He grabbed your ass again before taking hold of your hand and tried to walk with you but Jungkook kicked him in the back of the leg,
"Don't touch her!" Jungkook screamed pulling you behind him and looking at the man but he wasn't having it,
"I'll touch whoever I want-"
"You will not touch royalty in any way you please!" Everyone who was in earshot all turned to look at you both and you knew the cover was blown everyone now seemed to notice who you both were unlike before when they were oblivious.
"Come on," Jungkook growled at you walking in the direction of where the car that had brought you was waiting, the driver asleep in the front seat.
"I can't believe you let him touch you like that." He seethed as you got to the car,
"I didn't-"
"He had his filthy hands all over you." You stared at him, Jungkook was getting red in the face and you knew he was angry at you but he had no reason to be.
"Jungkook I didn't ask him to touch me!" You yelled at him and he scoffed,
"You didn't push him off." You shook your head at him having enough of him acting like this,
"What about you? With all those girls!?" You flipped your hair over your shoulder mocking them, you moved close to him.
"Oh you're so hot and Oh my god! Look at your muscles." You mocked loudly and he pushed you against the door of the car growling at you loudly.
"You're just jealous." He mumbled,
"Maybe." You spat back at him and that was it, your lips were connected and you were battling for dominance, you lost quickly and your hands were in his hair as he picked you up and pushed you against the car door, grinding his hips into you.
"Fuck you're so hot." He mumbled against your lips kissing down your neck stopping once the car started up, the driver must have woken up.
Tumblr media
That night was never spoken about again to anyone except your diary if your parents ever found out that you'd snuck out in the middle of the night your lives would be over in the snap of a finger. Unknown to you though both families knew that you'd gone out that night, your mother had your royal guard tail you the whole night and report back on anything that happened, the kiss shared between and a prince and princess was the talk of the castle for months.
"I promise I'll find someone you'll like." You hummed and she walked out of the room going to find your father to make some preparations. Your eyes were still stuck on the photo of you and Jungkook, you were still close friends even after the kiss it was as if it never happened. Maybe he'd forgotten it but you never would, you'd never forget the sparks you felt when he finally kissed you after all the years of knowing each other.
Tumblr media
Jungkook was sitting across from you at the table while your parents talked about wedding preparations,
"You want us to marry each other?" You questioned your eyes tearing away from him and over to your mum who was nodding at you, they'd all come to the agreement it would be great for the kingdom.
"You're best friends, you only have to act like a couple in the public eye." You nodded looking down at your hands on your lap,
"Yeah, we can just be a couple in public and be friends in the castle." To you, it felt like a stab in the chest hearing Jungkook talk like that even though you knew the kiss didn't mean anything to him there was a part of you that somehow wished it did mean something.
"Best friends." You mumbled looking at your mum who was now starting to regret her decision on this, she thought if you were arranged to be married to him it would somehow make the real feelings you felt for one another come out. It was no secret that Jungkook liked you back, well...it was a secret to everyone but you and him. You would never admit it to one another like that you were in love.
"I'm late for horse riding lessons, bye." You rushed out of the room without a proper goodbye or exit because you wanted to get away from Jungkook.
Tumblr media
"You look, wonderful angel." Your mother whispered in your ear as the corset was tied tightly in the back, you were in a huge dress you could barely move in.
"Is this really necessary mum?" You asked as you were helped into the heels,
"The dress? Of course! It's your wedding day." You looked at yourself in the mirror, you were in a huge princess dress which dipped in at the waist only to puff out after it, it had a v neck with off the shoulder short sleeves and was covered in expensive lace. The train behind you was huge as well but you weren't talking about the dress,
"The wedding...Is it necessary?" The maids who were all helping you get ready were excused and you and your mum were alone in the room.
"A princess can not rule alone." You looked over at your mother who was now sitting on the arm of a fabric sofa,
"So I have to marry my best friend-"
"We both know he's much more than that to you." Your heart stopped when you heard her say that,
"Mum-I-"
"It's obvious darling, now just put on a brave face and go out there..." The music started out in the church and you knew it was time,
"Smile." You did as you were told and waited for your father to walk into the room to help you walk down the aisle.
"Don't let me fall okay?" You whispered to him when he stood next to you,
"Mums making me wear heels," He chuckled at you and lifted the front of your dress up, removing the heels and putting them on a desk inside of the room.
"No one will see them," He promised, the doors swung open and you took a deep breath getting ready to go out and marry your best friend and for you...the love of your life. All eyes were on you as soon as you started your slow walk down the huge aisle to your husband to be who was dressed white pants with a red stripe and a blue blazer with white detailing he looked handsome.
Jungkook's eyes locked onto you as soon as the doors opened and he almost fell over the air, his best men all chuckled as they noticed him watching you walk towards him,
"She looks-" He couldn't even find the perfect word for it because you were beyond words at that point,
"Look after her." Your father warned once you reached the top of the church, you and Jungkook held hands and he walked you the rest of the way to the vicar who was waiting with a giant smile on his face.
"Please be seated." Everyone in the church sat down and you and Jungkook faced one another with a smile on your faces eyes dancing over to look at the guests, your mum was crying in the corner and so was Jungkook's mum.
"We're gathered here today to bear witness to the marriage of Prince Jeon Jungkook and Princess Y/n Y/l/n..."
Tumblr media
The day was over and you were back in your now shared room with Jungkook. You were moved into one of the second biggest rooms in your castle.
"Now what?" You asked as you looked around the room, it was a huge double bed. You and Jungkook had shared a bed before it was no big deal but you thought you were supposed to be friends when you were inside the castle.
"Probably because of the maids." He assured you looking at you and biting his lip, he'd been wanting to kiss you again since the one you shared at the wedding.
"Right...I need out of this thing, it's awful." You walked into the en-suite and Jungkook watched after you wondering if it was weird to ask to kiss you or not. He took off his blazer and hung it up in the wardrobe and he began unbuttoning his shirt when you came back into the room still in the dress.
"Can you get me a chambermaid...I can't get it off." He nodded and walked out of the room to find someone coming back a couple of moments later with no one.
"There's no one up here, turn around I'll do it." You turned around and he walked over his hands slowly working the corset strings and undoing them the dress became limp and you let out a huge breath of relief.
"Thank god." You whimpered looking over your shoulder at Jungkook who was staring at you biting down on his lip, you slowly turned around to face him.
"What?" You whispered and he looked at your face trying not to look at you,
"You're wearing er- The er, it's nice..." You looked down at him and saw he was getting hard through his trousers and maybe it was the alcohol in your system that was giving you the confidence boost but you let go of the dress letting it fall to the floor to reveal the lace underwear he was nervous over.
"You can look Kookie...I'm your wife now." You whispered and he bit down on his lip looking at your body, you reached out for his hand and placed it on your hip letting him feel the lace detailing.
"W-What are you doing?" You stared at him and realised how stupid you were being,
"Sorry I thought...It was stupid, I thought you liked me back." You rushed over to the bathroom but he grabbed your hand and pulled you into his chest.
"I do." He mumbled bringing his hand up to your face and cupping it, you felt the same spark you did the night he kissed you before and he smirked seeing you get goosebumps,
"You still react the same way you did that night." You pushed him away and stared at him.
"You remember that night!?" You yelled at him and he blushed a bright red colour and you shook your head at him,
"You remembered that night and decided to not tell me or ever kiss me again-" You were cut off by his lips on yours, his hands holding onto your waist as his thumb ran over the lace fabric of the white lingerie set you were wearing.
"You're so fucking beautiful." He whispered pulling away from you and looking deep into your eyes, you felt a shiver run down your spine over the way he looked at you and he smirked knowing he had that effect on you,
"Kiss me again." You whispered looking at him and he nodded bringing your bodies close together and kissing your lips gently.
Tumblr media
He fell back onto the bed as you kissed down his chest, he was stripped out of everything except his boxers and you were still standing in your lingerie set and you smirked as he watched you closely.
"What are you doing?" You ran your hand down the front of his boxers to feel him and you were shocked at how big he was.
"Fuck Kookie," You giggled taking off the boxers he was wearing and dropping to your knees in front of him, he watched as you slowly took the head into your mouth and began stroking him,
"H-have you done anything like this before?" He whimpered throwing his head back as you took him all the way into your mouth, his head hitting the back of your throat.
"Nope," You whispered after you pulled off him continuing to pump him in your hand and he stared at you, his hips bucking up into your hand.
"So you're-" You nodded not feeling embarrassed that you'd never had sex because it was perfectly normal but you were sure you wanted Jungkook to be your first and apparently since you were now married, last time. You continued to take him in your mouth trying not to gag on his size but moaning around him whenever he bucked up into you,
"S-Shit, you need to stop." But you didn't want to, pleasuring him and watching him come undone above you was making you wetter by the second but it was too much for Jungkook, he pulled you off him and pinned you down to the bed where he had been laid previously.
"You think it's funny?" You giggled at him and he smirked biting down on your lip and kissing down your neck,
"What if I teased you so much?" You whimpered as he used his hand to spread your legs apart taking a finger and running it up and down your exposed core.
"So wet already," He chuckled dropping onto his knees, you maintained eye contact until he licked one stripe up your folds, your head threw back against the silk sheets at the new feeling and he continued to eat you out while staring up at you, humming against you and sending you into a frenzy.
"Kookie!" You cried out your hands reaching out for something to grasp onto and he smirked at the sight,
"You taste so fucking good." He groaned using one finger to stretch you out a bit, he began pumping slowly and watched your face closely as it contorted, moans slipping from your lips as well as his name.
"I'm gonna add a second finger, okay?" You nodded and he smirked sucking on your clit as he added another finger into you, the stretch wasn't too hard to handle and you moaned out as his name as he continued to pump curling up his fingers as he did so sending your mind into a wave pool of thoughts.
"Fuck. Fuck. S-Shit, Kookie that feels so good-" You moaned out clenching around him and he smirked knowing you were going to cum,
"Let go baby, cum for me." He whispered sucking on you clit once again and moaning against you, the knot that was growing in your stomach snapped and you cried out your legs shaking as you rode out your high on his fingers. Jungkook cleaned you up before coming back up onto the bed and kissing you. He pulled you up so you were both laying on the bed making out and he smiled at you,
"Do you want to do this?" You nodded and he lined himself up at your entrance, looking down at you and biting on his lip.
"It's going to hurt but not for long," You winced as he slowly pushed his length inside of you, the stretch a lot bigger than his two fingers were your nails dug into his back and he kissed you lovingly mumbling apologises against your lips. Once he was all the way in, he held himself still looking down at you, your face was squished together in pain but you nodded for him to continue so he slowly began to thrust into you,
"You okay?" He asked and you nodded, the feeling wasn't something you were used to but it was okay, you nodded and he continued.
"a-Ahh Jungkook right there." You moaned out your nails holding onto his shoulders as he hit your g-spot over and over again, it felt so good that the pain had subsided completely and it was turning into pleasure. Grunts were escaping from his lips as he moaned out your name,
"You're so fucking tight." He grunted holding your hips down as he continued to thrust into you a little faster this time, you wrapped your legs around his waist not wanting it to end,
"Feels so good." You moaned out, back arching away from the mattress as he hit your sweet spot again and again you felt that familiar band in your stomach tightening and you looked up at him.
"I-I'm gonna cum again." You whimpered out, sad that this was going to be over soon but he kissed you sweetly and began rubbing your clit with his fingers.
"Shit..." He groaned as you clenched around him tightly you moaned out his name,
"Cum for my princess." He smirked as he used your proper title and you moaned out his name loudly letting the band in your stomach snap and you exploded around him. This orgasm better than the last as he was burried deep inside of you, you felt dizzy as he continued to thrust in and out of you grunting as he came into you.
He laid down beside you on the bed trying to calm his breathing and you rolled over to lay on him,
"I love you Jungkook." You admitted looking up at him and he smiled down at you moving some of the sweaty hair away from your face,
"It's a good thing we're married then." He teased earning a playful slap to the stomach,
"Ouch- Shit, I love you too." He chuckled leaning down and kissing you once again, you pulled back and laid your head down on his chest. Now you knew why everyone in the castle seemed to have disappeared after the wedding. Leaving you both alone to consummate your marriage and seal the deal.
"I think my mother knew about my crush on you." You laughed sitting up in the bed and wincing as you were already beginning to feel sore,
"I think mine did too." He laughed looking at you and biting down on his lip, he really was one of the luckiest men in the world and so were you.

Early Morning Welcome: Soma Yukihira X Reader - One-shot
Summary: You've already been welcomed in as the newest member of the Polar Star Dormitory, but a certain redhead extends your welcome with a delicious morning breakfast.
Tumblr media
It wasn't your alarm clock that woke you up.
It wasn't the early morning sunshine peeking in through your curtains or the faint chirping of birds from your closed window.
It was your nose.
Or rather the action of your nose inhaling so deeply that it had caused a new aroma to overcome you from the otherwise plain scent of your room and crumpled sheets that were covering nearly half of your face.
And it smelled...delicious.
With your intrigue fully captured, you swung your legs over the edge of your bed, tossing the covers away into a crumpled heap at the base of the mattress. Feet sliding into your slippers, you stood, and shuffled out of your room.
Once in the hall, you noticed how quiet it was. All doors were shut with no traces of your fellow dorm mates in sight.
The smell was a little more powerful now, as it wafted through the air and entered your nostrils. You could only make sense that someone was cooking, and considering this was one of the  dorms to the greatest cooking schools in the world, it supposedly made sense to a certain extent. But still, this early in the morning?
With crossed arms, you slowly padded to the stairwell and took quiet steps to reach the bottom floor, turning to head towards the kitchen.
Your ears then picked up the sound of clanging pans and the sizzling sound of something being cooked. You sniffed the air again.
It smelled rich, hearty, and delightedly greasy.
Bacon perhaps?
Your nose carried you further until finally, you reached the large kitchen of the Polar Star Dormitory.
And you were right.
Someone was up and cooking away without a care in the world.
He was male, lean yet slightly muscular, the curvature of his biceps evident through his thin, blue shirt as he expertly whisked away at a substance heating in a pot over the stove.
A strip of white fabric was tied around his forehead, contrasting against his slightly tanned skin and vibrant red hair.
But even though he seemed heavily drawn in by his work, it didn't stop him from noticing your slightly hidden form from out of the corner of his eye.
He turned his head, causing you to stiffen as you met his friendly, golden gaze. His free hand flew up into a wave.
"Hey ! Mornin Y/N !"
His greeting caught you off guard, especially since you weren't too familiar with your new dorm mates yet. They welcomed you humbly the night before and you could only recall a few of their names in full.
Still, he had greeted you and you didn't want to be rude, but…
"G-Good morning. It's...Soma, right ? Sorry, I... don't remember your last name." You admitted shyly, "I would have addressed you as such but I didn't really get a chance to memorize the names of everyone here."
"Ah, don't worry about it," he shrugged off, "The formality isn't necessary. But you're okay with me calling you Y/N aren't ya?" He asked, flashing you a toothy grin.
You nodded, finding a strange, immediate comfort in his friendliness,"Yeah. Absolutely."
"Awesome!" he stood straighter, extending his right hand out while he continued whisking,  "I know last night was a little crazy so I'll go ahead and introduce myself fully. Soma Yukihira. It's nice to meetcha."
You smiled warmly, stepping fully into the kitchen and over to where he stood, reaching your hand out to grasp his in a shake.
"Y/N L/N. It's nice to meet you too."
He flashed another smile, before letting go of your hand and turned back to the stove.
You tilted your head at him thoughtfully.
Even though you just met, you were very intrigued by this boy and for some reason, you wanted to know more about him.
But just as you opened your mouth to speak, he beat you to the point.
"Say, Y/N. Are ya hungry ?"
You blinked. This boy certainly had his ways of catching people off guard, but you answered him nonetheless.
"Uhm...maybe a little. I guess."
"Perfect. Go and sit. I'll make you something."
"Uh, no it's okay !" You waved your hands in front of your face, "You don't have to."
"I've already kinda got a head start anyways. Go ahead and take a seat. It won't take long "
You held your breath, thinking that there wasn't any way to turn down his offer, mindlessly adding 'persistent' to the unknown list of traits you were giving him in your head.
Soma turned away, going back to the stove as you made your way to one of the seats at the bar, pulling out the chair and situating yourself comfortably, a palm resting on your cheek while your arm propped itself up on the counter.
There weren't any other sounds in the kitchen beside the occasional chop of a knife and the continued sizzle of food being cooked. And even though you practically had a front row seat of his actions, you had no idea what Soma was making.
He was very quick and precise with his actions, his timing with everything near perfection and you were completely transfixed as he moved almost gracefully with nearly everything he did.
"Do you do this alot ?"
He looked up, "What ? Cook?"
You shook your head, "No. I mean obviously you cook because why else would you be here." Your hand gestured to the clock on the wall, which currently read 6:15 AM, "I mean cook this early in the morning, and for other people so randomly like this."
"Well in a way," he started, cutting a lemon and squeezing the juice into a pot, "My dad and I own a family eatery and we opened pretty early in the morning. But most of the time, it's just to get in some early practice."
"Practice ?"
"Uh huh. I mean I won't get any better if I don't experiment and work with different things. And if I don't get better, then I'll never beat my old man."
His words piqued your interest, "What do you mean 'beat him' ?"
Soma looked up at the ceiling, "He and I battle in the kitchen sometimes, but I have yet to whip up something better than him." He clenched his fist, "He's one of the greatest chefs there is, and it's my goal to beat him one day along with being the best chef at this school so I'm good enough to run our eatery."
You smiled, admiring his determination, "Guess that video means you weren't lying then."
He tilted his head, "Video? What video?"
"The girls showed me a recording of your speech at the entrance exam. I didn't get a chance to see it since I was late arriving here. You seemed really dead set and," Your hesitated, remembering the angled shot of the people in the crowd and how poisonous their features looked,"...A lot of people looked sort of mad at you."
"Did they? Huh. Guess I didn't notice."
You practically fell over. Of course he didn't. For someone to have such big aspirations and goals, he was kind of an airhead.
But you honestly kind of appreciated it. For some people, it took a lot to ignore the negligent opinions of others, but Soma seemed to shrug any bad omen about him off completely.
You sort of...envied him.
"All right, breakfast is served !"
Your thought bubble popped once his voice breached the air, looking down at the plate he had placed in front of you.
And what you saw had your E/C irises snapping open in shock.
They were pancakes, thick and fluffy, cooked to a golden perfection while the middle remained a delightful off-white. There were two of them, stacked and topped off with pieces of crispy, pan fried bacon that stuck out delicately from their placement on top of the fluffy mounds. A deep yellow sauce cascaded from the top and over the edges, it's supposed thickness adding a strange elegance to the dish, making even the mediocre light in the kitchen glisten off of its polished finish. And the whole thing was garnished with a pinch of parsley.
You were completely awestruck.
"Well ?" Soma inquired, that same grin plastered on its face, "Aren't you gonna try it?"
You looked up at him, still totally bewildered, "I-Well, yes but it...it almost looks too beautiful to eat. Like I'd be destroying a piece of art or something."
Soma laughed, "Well I'm definitely happy that it's pleasing to the eye. But good food is meant to be eaten so don't think you're ruining anything." He gave you a thumbs up, "Go ahead and enjoy !"
You smiled softly and picked up the fork and knife he had laid out next to the plate, preparing to cut off an edge of the pancake.
"Ah, wait !"
You looked up, "What's wrong ?"
He folded his arms, "Cut it right down the middle."
"....Huh ?"
"Just trust me."
You blinked, your next words trailing out with confusion, "O….k…."
He gave you a wink and watched as you moved again to cut into the pancakes, but this time, right down the middle like Soma had told you.
Your knife glided right through the top, piercing what you thought was the pancake. That is, until a rich, orangey-yellow substance burst out and flowed down the edge of your knife and soaked through the fluffy center of the pancakes while also mixing with the thickened sauce below.
"Woah…" you breathed.
"Doesn't take much to wow you, I see." Soma chuckled, "Now make sure to get everything together."
You nodded slowly, taking care to create what looked like a perfect bite of fluffy, rich, and crispy.
Lifting the fork to your mouth, your lips encompassed it fully before pulling it back out clean and your eyes widened again as your mouth went to work in letting everything glide over your taste buds.
So much flavor and so many different textures.
The pancake was just as soft as it looked. The bacon was still crispy, even as you noticed it's thicker cut in biting it with your teeth. The sauce was thick and absolutely divine, buttery with a hint of acidity.
Acidity.
The lemon you saw him squeezing earlier.
Its classic yellow color.
Hollandaise sauce.
You inwardly gasped, now tasting and recognizing the other component of the dish that had burst out when you had cut into it.
It's smooth subtlety mixed perfectly with everything, the taste so familiar and oddly vibrant even though it was an extremely common breakfast food whether scrambled, boiled, fried, or in this case, poached.
"So what do you think ?"
You savored it for as long as you could before finally, you swallowed, refraining from taking another bite of what tasted like heaven on a plate so you could answer the red head.
"It's... incredible!"
Soma grinned, watching as your eyes quite literally started to sparkle which each additional bite you took.
It didn't take long for you to finish, and when you did, you sat back happily, humming as you relished in your delightful fill.
Soma leaned over the counter, "I take it you liked it ?"
You nodded eagerly, " Mmhm ! I've never had pancakes like this before. It was so unique! Everything fits so well together! The bacon, the Hollandaise sauce, and was that a-"
Soma snapped his fingers, "Egg ? Yep ! You're exactly right ! You definitely know your stuff ! What you had there were Souffle Pancakes Eggs Benedict style. Not a lot of restaurants serve it and it was my first time making it. Kinda risky but I wanted to welcome you somehow."
You tilted your head up with a smile, "Well...you definitely did. Thank you, Soma."
He beamed, removing the strip of fabric from his forehead and tied it around his arm, "Your Welcome, Y/N."
You weren't sure if it was from the meal you just had, but you felt full, especially when it crossed over on just how thoughtful Soma had been to you even though you just met.
Come to think of it, everyone had been thoughtful the night you had arrived.
You had been so nervous to cook for Miss Fumio, but you proved all successful in the end after she had tasted your dish. Everyone had been eavesdropping to see how you would do and surrounded you with all the congratulations in the world once you passed.
Everyone celebrated that night with a feast and you appreciated their kindness with every out of gratefulness you could muster.
They accepted you and wanted you to succeed.
No one at this dorm was at each other's throats like other students you had seen, especially the ones you had seen on the video of Soma at the entrance ceremony.
No, everyone here was considerate and friendly with a want for everyone to do their best even if they had powerful aspirations of third own.
Wholeheartedly, you did feel welcomed, and Soma's actions increased that feeling tenfold.

Gotta love Flora.
CHAPTER 3: DANCING WITH THE DEVIL
Both the Crown Prince and the Chief ordered their remaining men to step outside too, asking for absolute privacy. Everyone but Moblit left.
Friederich let out a loud sigh, taking a long gulp from his goblet to drown the image of their beloved little sister pleading them to not leave her alone. They sadly had to, it was safer for her this way. The Chief refilled it, the Prince thanking him with a nod.
“Now you understand what we meant, right?” Hans laced his fingers together, resting his arms on his knees.
“Father has had his claws on her for far too long.” Friederich stared at the wine in his goblet, frowning displeased. “Too long.”
He forgot when it was the last time his little sister genuinely smiled.
“I do, your Highnesses. And I swear to you both, and to the Goddesses, that she will be safe here.”
“This wouldn’t have been possible without your help, Erwin. You really don’t know how grateful we are to you, and for accepting our only request.” Hans looked directly at the Chief’s eyes.
“This is the safest place for her to be while the other stages of the plan happen.” Erwin took a sip of his goblet, eyeing both brothers as he awaited for Moblit to finish translating. “Your father won’t dare urge us Eldians to fulfill our end of the deal until the marriage happens. For now he waits, and that is when we must act. Sadly time is of the essence, and we cannot waste any of it.”
“Truly a race against time, huh?” Friederich crossed his arms, not wanting to let any negative thoughts cloud his mind and sully his purpose.
“Yes, a race we must win.” Both brothers understood now why the Eldian Chief was both feared by his enemies and deeply respected by his allies. His determination was contagious, and even if they had all the odds against them, they felt that they could truly win. This is how his warriors must feel on the battlefield, ready to give their lives following his orders as they fought side by side.
“Our sister–” Friederich insisted, his fingers twitching.
“My warriors will protect her. The chances of having an entire army mobilised here are very slim, especially considering their General is here, and that the troops are loyal to their General, before their King.” Erwin motioned with his hand towards Friederich. “And I suppose if it was inevitable, I would have a word of warning to prepare a scheme to avoid our armies confronting each other, wouldn’t I?”
“Still, it’s a big gamble. Even for you.” Hans replied, taking a sip from his goblet. “We should consider all chances.”
“He knows his chances.” Friederich leaned back on his chair. “Don’t you?”
“I’ve always been a man of big gambles.” The Chief’s chuckle made Friederich snort. “But rest assured–”
“This is our sister we are speaking of, not only Gottesreich.” From the two brothers, Friederich had always been the hot-headed one, and wouldn’t hesitate to say a piece of his mind when his little Birdie was concerned. “Harmony has been broken, Father has gone too far in his madness, and this is our only chance to do something, yes.” Friederich leveled the Chief with a hard stare. “But for me, my sister comes first. She’s an innocent in this, screw the Kingdom if any harm comes to her, screw Fa–”
“Friederich.” Hans fixed his eyes on his brother. A warning.
“I understand your feelings and concerns, Friederich. I do, and I share the same sentiment as you.”
“She is not a pawn to be sacrificed in any stage of the plan. This is why she is here.”
“I know. Trust my warriors.” Erwin’s determined glint in his eyes settled any doubts the younger Prince may have had.
Some said he was a master strategist, others a mad genius leading an army of demons. Friederich believed he was both, because you had to be brilliantly crazy to pull stunts as they had pulled before and be victorious each time. His warriors would follow him to the ends of the known world and Friederich deeply respected that.
“We will right the wrongdoings done to this world by the hand of our father. We only wished we realised sooner what his plans were.”
“You realised it in time, enough to do something.”
“We hope so, Erwin.” Hans had a somber expression on his face, really wanting to believe what the Chief said. “We hope so.”
That seemed to conclude their private meeting, seeing both brothers to their respective rooms in the guest houses. The Chief retired to his own too, soon to be shared with his fiancé, before finishing some matters concerning the evening banquet.
As he stepped into the wooden tub filled with warm water, releasing a pleased groan as he lowered himself further into it and felt the tight knots in his back loosen, he couldn’t help but to still think about their little talk with the Princes and the Princess herself.
There was so much work to be done. They were only in the early stages of their plan and so many things could go wrong. Erwin was not stupid, he knew every plan had its risks, but they made the hard work worth it. It was worth it. The three siblings were the key to change the course of the three nations.
Hans was going to be a good King. Down to earth, just, always willing to protect his people and their happiness. He had a great responsibility on his shoulders as the Crown Prince, but Erwin felt more at ease knowing one day he will be the one sitting on the throne of Gottesreich. The Crown Prince despised greed.
Erwin deeply respected Friederich, both as a General who had the trust of his men and as a fierce soldier with a big heart. Those were qualities appreciated in Eldia, since you had to understand life in order to take one in battle. Friederich always honoured his enemies, and Erwin knew that if they ever had to cross swords in a battlefield, it would be a good, honourable fight.
But that wasn’t the plan, no. If it all came together in the end, they would be side by side.
As he let his head rest on the edge of the tub, Erwin’s mind wandered towards the third of the Gottesreichan siblings.
Erwin would be an absolute blind fool if he didn’t agree with what the whispers and rumours said; the Princess was a beauty. Elegance, gracefulness, perfect manners, a lovely face… everything needed to survive in a court and its poisoned, claustrophobic walls. But he would never forget the way she looked absolutely terrified at the prospect of being alone, and Erwin couldn’t blame her at all. It would shake anyone to their cores to be ripped off their homes to be then thrown into an unknown territory. But there was also something else hidden deep under those layers of fear, another reason than a change of culture.
With her doe eyes and delicate features, the Princess reminded him of a scared little fawn.
Erwin only hoped she would lose her fear and be happy here, to be her true self without her father’s strings manipulating her every movement and word. It will be tedious and Erwin will have to use his entire patience, but he was positive he would succeed.
The door of the private bathroom opened without a warning, Levi stepping in with a confident stride and uncaring of Erwin’s nakedness. He closed it with his foot, not even turning back to properly do so, and took a stool to sit down on it. Erwin knew it would be futile to stop Levi from saying what he had on his mind, years of friendship proved him that, and that displeased frown sometimes said more than words.
“This is a terrible idea.” Levi crossed his arms, glaring at the man in front of him. “Are you sure about this, Erwin?”
The Chief chuckled. Levi’s frown deepened.
“Ah, straight to the point as always.” Erwin closed his eyes, feeling Levi’s agitated ones on him. “I am sure.”
“What made you think marrying that Princess will help Eldia?” Levi wasn’t happy about this decision he took, but he knew that deep down Erwin must have a good, important reason to do it. Or maybe not. This was Erwin, you never knew what he had in mind. “Or maybe you want kids now? Don’t tell me it’s that, you bastard. You could have chosen any Eldian woman, they’d be more than happy to do so.”
Erwin couldn’t contain the burst of laughter that escaped from deep in his throat.
“Rest assured, Levi, it’s not kids I want.”
“Then what? It’s Gottesreich we are talking about. Gottesreich and the mad, greedy King. Do you really want to be associated with that?”
“She will help our cause.” Erwin heard Levi sigh. “Thankfully the brothers think so too, the people of her Kingdom have a special spot for her, and that plays to our advantage. Let’s better leave the Mad King thinking he got a stupidly, unbelievable good deal and that he won us, uncultured barbarians, over. You know what they say,” Ah, there it was. That dangerous, cunning glint in his eyes. “keep your friends close, but your enemies closer.”
The Chief and his insane gambles. Levi scoffed.
“You already have planned multiple ways to use her and her ties to the Mad King, haven’t you?”
“You make me sound like an uncaring monster, Levi. But I wouldn’t endanger her at all, that’s not part of the plan.”
“Sometimes you are, dipshit. When you have a plan and are adamant to carry it on, nothing will stop you.” Erwin placed his hand on his chest, chuckling and lowering his head as if he was hurt.
“You wound me.”
“Asshole.” Levi kicked the tub.
“But she isn’t here to be used as a pawn.” That caught Levi’s attention. “She is here for her safety. If she stayed any longer in her Kingdom, she would have her pretty head chopped off or worse. Here she has a second chance.”
“So that’s the deal with her brothers, then? Their sister?”
“That was their only selfish request, that only one life was to be secured at any costs, even over their citizens.”
“Huh. I see. So we are babysitters now.”
“You could put it like that, or also you could think of it as an opportunity to see a beautiful flower bloom, besides the enrichment and merging of our cultures. Don’t you want to expand your knowledge?”
Levi’s brow twitched.
“You are twisted.”
“And you are twisting my words. I meant this,” Erwin tapped his temple. “Our little Princess there is not just a pretty face. I want to see what she is capable of.”
“Huh.”
“I know that behind those scared eyes lies intelligence and knowledge. One time Prince Hans told me she would go with them on diplomatic visits, and how she would take over one day when he was King. She has the skills. She’s observant, or haven’t you noticed?”
“I guess, although today she looked mostly like a frightened mouse, or haven’t you noticed?”
“Ah, indeed I noticed. Do you blame her, though?”
Levi looked at his feet, sighing.
“Not at all.”
Both men remained in silence, going through today’s events. Their lives would drastically change from now on, and Levi wanted to believe it was for the good. Erwin’s voice grabbed his attention again.
“Let’s try our best to make her feel welcome. Everyone would be scared to be in a foreign land with no known faces, no knowledge of the language, only knowing your fate is sealed and you cannot do a thing about it.”
“I think your eyebrows are what scares her the most.” Levi snorted, rising up from the stool. “Although I know other things will scare her more when she sees them.”
“Oi, there’s nothing wrong with my eyebrows.” He splashed a bit of water towards Levi’s direction, knowing how his childish behaviour often set his right hand’s man nerves on edge. He also didn’t want parts of his anatomy discussed while he was, well, naked. Levi deserved a bit of water.
“I hope your kids don't have them.” It was Erwin’s turn to snort.
“Rude.”
“Get out before you look like a raisin. I bet the Princess won’t kiss you then.” Levi grabbed a towel and threw it at the Chief’s face. “Go take a shit and make yourself presentable. You should take her around the town.”
“We better let her rest, it has been a long journey for them.” Erwin left the towel on a nearby stool. “I will take her and her brothers tomorrow to see the town.”
Levi shrugged his shoulders, walking to the door.
“Be on your best behaviour.” Levi rolled his eyes, not sparing a glance towards the Chief. Levi knew he would have that infuriating smirk on his lips.
“I’m always on my best behaviour.”
“Absolutely.”
Erwin watched Levi shake his head and sigh, exiting the bathroom and leaving the Chief snickering and alone with his thoughts.
There were so many things to prepare for his change in his daily life in the upcoming months. For once, he would have to share his house and make room for whatever needs and space the Princess may have.
And tidy.
Erwin scratched his chin, knowing he really should pick up his clothes and take them to get cleaned before Levi lost his patience and set fire to them. Also pick up the maps and books invading every flat surface available. Change the candles, store the seal wax in its rightful place…
Yes, many things indeed.
Erwin let himself submerge slightly into the water, sighing.

“This is a nightmare.”
“Oh c’mon, you big dramatic oaf. Look at the bright side of it, he is handsome! And strong! I want one of them myself!”
“Flora!”
“What? I got eyes and I’m not made of stone! Did you see the size of him? I bet he can lift a cow without breaking a sweat.” Flora brushed her Princess’ hair, perfectly detangling and separating the strands to prepare it for the hair style she had in mind, and greatly enjoying her friend’s flustered cheeks. “And he will say to you: “Oh, my Princess! Look at these arms!”, and then will rip his tunic off–” Flora dropped her voice trying to imitate the same pitch as the Chief’s one, and also flexing her own arms as if she was displaying her own inexistent muscles. “And say: “Princess, tonight I will—“
Eva’s scandalised gasp made it worth it.
“Where did you learn all this?!”
“My dear, sweet, virtuous, pure, innocent, Princess.” Flora’s grin made Eva’s mouth twitch.
“No, save it. I don’t want to know.”
“You know the captain’s son, handsome young man—“
“Flora!”
“Those unused rooms where—“
Another gasp.
“No!” Eva covered her mouth. Those rooms?!
“That table— sturdy, let me tell you. But ah! He has good fingers!”
“FLORA.”
The handmaiden snorted, followed by a good-hearted laugh. She resumed brushing the Princess’ hair, already thinking what pins to use this time for the braid and bun.
“I know you had to be the beacon of virtue and holiness for the Kingdom, an example to be followed, but us women are curious and have our needs also. What’s wrong in having a little bit of fun? Haven’t you been curious yourself?” Flora’s smile reassured Eva. Sometimes Eva felt like her handmaiden was a caring big sister, and felt comfortable enough to discuss thoughts she had that never would dare to say aloud.
“I… well.”
“...I know about those forbidden books under your mattress.”
“Then you know the answer.”
Flora’s loud laugh echoed around the room, needing to leave the brush on the vanity and having to clutch her belly. Eva’s cheeks increased their red glow, pointedly ignoring Flora’s outburst. Certainly those who came from the countryside weren’t as lawful to the Holy Scriptures as the ones nearer the Capital or the Palace itself.
Once Flora managed to calm down enough and wiped away tears, she resumed her work, expertly braiding the Princess’s long hair. It always soothed Eva, the way her handmaiden gently manoeuvred her hands and fingers without a harsh and painful pull. Flora said having two whiny younger sisters made you learn fast.
“Hmmm,” Flora tied the braid with a ribbon for now, tapping her finger on her chin while deep in thought. “I was thinking that for tonight’s banquet you should look… exquisite. But distinguished. But making sure our darling Chief cannot take your eyes away from you.”
“You are enjoying this, aren’t you.” Eva rose a delicate brow, looking straight at Flora’s honey eyes through the mirror. Flora snickered, turning around to the multiple open trunks and luggage.
“Of course I am!” Flora rummaged through one of the Princess’ trunks, pulling out a dress. “What about this one?”
“Which one?” Eva turned around to see which piece was Flora holding in her hands. “The red one? Maybe it’s too much… The cleavage and open shoulders—“
“It makes a statement. Our Chief won’t be able to concentrate on anything else but you.”
“I really don’t want to draw too much attention to myself, Flora. You know how much I despise it.”
“You will draw it regardless of what you are wearing, my darling Princess. Sadly you are new, and everyone wants to see the novelty.”
“I know…”
“So let's make them look and drop their jaws when they do.” Flora’s eyes brightened at her own words, a fire burning in them.
“I wish I had your confidence.” Eva sighed looking down at her hands.
“Oh no no no—” Flora left the dress on top of the bed, walking next to her Princess and holding her face in her hands and squeezing her cheeks. “Do not give me that speech!”
“Whut Fwlora—“
“Not buts! Show them what the proud, brilliant and beautiful Princess of Gottesreich is capable of!”
///
“This was Flora’s doing, right?”
“You know there’s nothing one can do to stop her once she’s set on something.” Eva sighed, hearing Hans chuckle.
“Fierce woman.” Friederich replied, smirking.
“Indeed.”
“You will thank me later, your Highness.” Flora’s smug smirk made Friederich snicker.
Hans knew her sister’s handmaiden was a hurricane. Stubborn as a mule, also. But had the biggest heart and best intentions. He still remembers when Flora came to the palace to start as a maid, a twig of a girl but with a big smile and endless energy. Chatty, too.
She was perfect for quiet, reserved and shy Eva. He also remembers how Eva would hide behind curtains or a tree because she was not prepared for her new extroverted maid. Now, as they grew, they both turned to be exceptional women with an unbreakable bond. But Flora still pushed Eva to get out of her comfort zone quite often, much to the Princess’ dismay.
The dress did cause a statement.
Once she removed her cloak upon entering the Great Hall, rearranged now to be filled with long tables and so much food it made the royal siblings’ eyes widen, Eva’s shoulders were openly displayed, as well as her long neck and collarbones, the dress neck line following a V ending in the perfect spot to either not be a vulgar display of cleavage and being cheeky enough to intuit what was underneath. It fit perfectly to her body, Flora made sure of that when the royal tailor came to take her measurements. It really was a beautiful and warm dress, velvety to the touch and thick enough to compensate for the open area. It also had embroidered motifs of leaves and flowers decorating the neckline and long sleeves, and a beautifully crafted belt made by the best Gottesreichan artisans that accentuated her waistline. Flora named it the “Jaw Dropper”. Eva scoffed at the name, thinking of how silly it was, until she wore it one day at court and had to admit the nickname suited it just fine.
Like now.
Needless to say the Chief was shocked to see skin revealed, considering how covered and bound the Princess was earlier. A quick look to the Princess’ handmaiden, who stood behind her and not even making an effort to contain her pleased smirk, made the Chief know who was behind the sudden wardrobe change.
The Gottesreichan entourage were led to the main table, as etiquette dictated for being their guests of honour. Flora was being led to another table as they approached their seats, and the thought of having Flora alone and away filled Eva with dread. She wanted Flora with them, secure with her own people, and also to have someone to help make this moment more bearable; Flora always made everything better, especially boring banquets, and the handmaiden thoroughly enjoyed them, and well, sometimes making fun of some lords. That was refreshing, even more when she had to fake smiles and politeness when all Eva wanted to do is lie down on her bed with a book.
Disregarding everything she had been taught, surprising herself even for her own selfish actions, Eva sought Moblit. Father wasn’t there to punish her now, and hoped Hans and Friederich understood her.
“I’m terribly sorry to be a burden, Moblit, but I have a request to make if it is not much trouble.” the warrior in question raised his brows. Seeing how the Princess was fidgeting with her fingers and was trying to hide it, Moblit encouraged her with a smile.
“What can we do for you, Your Highness?”
“I’d like to have my handmaiden, Flora, seated with me. I know protocol dictates otherwise, but–” Eva really hoped it would be possible. She felt her brother’s stares on her and was making her even more nervous. “I’d really appreciate it, if possible.”
Moblit looked surprised, but nodded, still maintaining his smile.
“Do not worry, Your Highness, it’s not trouble at all.”
The way the Princess’ face illuminated itself with a smile shocked the man, and hurriedly went to fetch the handmaiden in question. Flora looked at Eva and then at her supposed spot on a table near the main one, but followed Moblit nonetheless. Eva was glad she decided to ask for her, because they seated Eva next to the Chief and wasn’t sure she would have survived if Flora had not been by her side.
The handmaiden was giddy, usually having to sit on the other tables and entertain herself with the other guests while the Princess dealt with Princes and Lords; Flora recalled those times the Princess would roll her eyes whenever they crossed their gazes and both women had to hide their smirks behind their drinks. Flora knew she wouldn't have had any trouble in making friends as usual, despite the lack of language between her and the Eldians. Eva often called her a social hurricane, besides a menace when Flora had ideas.
“This looks delicious, doesn’t it?” Flora looked at the table once they were seated and people started chatting, stopping herself just in time from whistling in amazement. “So much food! They certainly didn’t fall short on it.”
“It does.” Eva sat more rigidly than usual, the closeness with the Chief getting on her nerves. She tried not to raise her voice too much, but had to agree with Flora. “The vegetables look very fresh.”
Eldian servants poured wine to the goblets and left the decanter on the table, busy with the work they had ahead.
“Careful with it, it’s… strong.” Eva looked at her own goblet with dread. She did not want to repeat her performance from before.
“That’s because you cannot hold alcohol, Princess.”
“That’s not true.” Eva knew she sounded like a petulant child.
Flora was about to retort, but was stopped by the Chief getting everyone’s attention by standing up and grabbing his own goblet. The room became silent, everyone focusing their eyes on him. Moblit silently moved to stand behind the Gottesreichan guests, ready for when their Chief spoke up.
The Chief’s strong voice boomed, speaking so everyone in the room could clearly hear him. Eva was still impressed at how his voice reminded her of rumbling thunder on a summer’s storm, and how easily he filled any room with his presence. Eva knew many nobles and princes who wished they had such a commanding presence.
Moblit’s voice made her tear her eyes away from the man.
“People of Eldia, rejoice! For tonight we celebrate and welcome a new member of our tribe. Tonight marks the start of a new stage in our lives and history, the union of two cultures. Please, welcome Princess Eva into your hearts, as she is to become my wife in the upcoming months.”
The Eldians intently listened to their Chief, some nodding, some gasping with excited smiles, some crossing their arms in a display of concentration, some with skeptical frowns. The Princess dreaded the last ones, especially when the attention of the Eldians was shifted to her, their gazes and murmurs not helping the wreck of nerves inside her guts. She will have to be careful with those who weren’t compliant with such news. Eva was not stupid, she knew not everybody was going to be happy and excited to see her here, even less marrying their leader, to become his wife. Surely they all expected someone else, but certainly not her. It was not a secret that Gottesreich had enemies across the continent, and Eldia wasn’t exactly on good, perfect friendly terms with the Holy Kingdom. Eva only hoped her presence here would smooth sore bumps and begin more friendly exchanges between nations.
The Chief turned to her, gesturing to his left with his hand. His eyes didn’t leave hers as she took her cue to gracefully stand up and bow to those who were to become her new people, raising up more murmurs. Flora always told her how her stoic and impassive face amazed her, even though she knew the Princess was a mess inside every time she had to face public speeches and banquets, but remained calm on the outside, not giving away one single thought of hers.
Tonight she really hoped it was the case.
“I propose a toast.” The Chief raised his goblet as he kept talking, while Moblit kept translating. Everyone went to do the same, grabbing and raising their goblets up high. The Chief turned his palm up, offering it for the Princess to delicately pose her own on it, her heart beating wildly inside her chest as the Chief closed it in his grip. His hand was massive. “For this union, for my future wife, for the good of Eldia! May the Goddesses Maria, Rose and Sina bless our guests! Praise the Goddesses!”
“Praise the Goddesses!” The roar of the Eldians was deafening, and everyone cheered in unison as they heartily drank as was customary.
Eva swallowed down her grimace as the wine touched her tongue and went down her throat, scorching as it did earlier. The Chief squeezed her hand, and Eva realised it was slightly trembling. Her husband-to-be was looking at her, unreadable as before, as he let go of her hand and Eva tried to not yank it back to her side in a panic; for him to witness such weakness was embarrassing. Eva left the goblet on the table and sat down as the Chief did, careful of the dress skirt. This was going to be a long night. Moblit went back to his seat on the Eldian side of the table, but not without pausing to whisper “you did well, Princess” to Eva. That was comforting.
“See? Cannot hold it at all.” Eva’s earrings slapped her jaw from the force of her head turning to fix a stare at Flora. Eva ignored the sting.
“Oh, stop it! I told you it’s strong!”
“Do you want me to remind you of that time, at Prince Zeke’s birthday party, where you–”
“No! Shush! Don’t remind me!” Eva turned her head towards the front, raising it with as much dignity as she could and a slight blush dusting on her cheeks. Not that night, Eva swore she let out even her first meal as a mere babe. It had been horrible. Flora had to hold her hair while telling another maid to get her water and a calming tea to settle her stomach. She did not dare step out of her rooms for the entire morning.
“Hmm?”
“...Okay, you are right. I cannot hold it. Satisfied?”
“For now.”
“Don’t make me regret this.” Eva sighed as she took her napkin. It was a nice fabric, Eva was surprised.
“As if! You already have to thank me, the Chief hasn’t taken his eyes from you.”
Eva froze, venturing a quick look to her right to see how indeed the Chief was glancing her way while sipping on his drink. He seemed amused but also as if he had his mind thinking on something. Eva hastily returned her gaze to her plate.
“Told you it would work!” Flora’s smug shake of her head made Eva sigh.
She was right. It did work.
“Don’t worry Birdie, I’ve seen princesses and nobles shoving their bosoms to everyone’s faces with their dresses.” Friederich leaned in, catching his sister’s attention with a cheeky smile. “You are safe.”
“See? Even Friederich here agrees with me! You have to show off that beautiful neck of yours!”
“Take some mercy on my poor sister, Flo.”
“Hm,” Flora drank from her goblet, leaning back on her seat. “Only because you asked nicely.”
“You both,” Hans’ voice rose. The three of them looked over at the Crown Prince calmly cutting some meat from his plate. “Behave. And Eva,” Hans looked at Eva with gentle eyes. “You did good today, I’m proud of you.”
Hans' smile and praise warmed Eva, happy of today’s efforts being noticed. She achieved to keep making her brothers proud, and hoped her father would be too. A timid smile rose to her lips.
The banquet passed without much more trouble, but Flora kept talking and made the Princess be out of her silent shell. Eva didn’t know if to feel relieved or saddened for not being able to communicate with the Chief, as one would do in any banquet with your dinning partner, but Eva pointedly tried to avoid looking at him, although she once or twice looked to his side for guidance when some Eldian dishes were presented and she had no idea how one was supposed to eat that. The Chief was patient enough to show her when she looked lost, and Eva kind of wanted to groan in embarrassment and thump her head on the table at the thought of what must the Chief think of her, even unable to eat without guidance as if she was a child.
The desserts were delicious, though.
As the night continued, some Eldians began dancing in the center of the Great Hall to the lively tunes the band played on a corner. They cheered and laughed loudly, inviting others to join and spin around the improvised dance floor. Those who weren’t dancing yet, followed the rhythm of the music with the clapping of their hands and thumping of feet on the floor, singing along.
The air was cheery and happy, contagious even. Some warriors went to the center of the floor, like Mike with that female warrior from before. Even Moblit was dragged to it by an excited warrior with a wide smile and sparkling brown eyes. The Chief remained on his seat, enjoying the jolly atmosphere of his people having a good time. Levi kept refusing people coming to ask him for a dance.
Eva watched fascinated at the Eldian dances, so different from those back home. They were not afraid of bodies touching bodies, hands clasping and hugging, spinning, jumping… it was as if a joyful spell had been casted on them. Even Flora joined, and Eva was really not surprised at that, when an Eldian approached her. Flora was torn for a split second, not wanting to leave the Princess alone, but Eva nudged her, begging her handmaiden to have a good time on her behalf. So there she was, dancing and spinning and laughing as the Eldian man tried to follow her pace. Eva couldn’t help her smile, enjoying her friend having a good time.
As the night progressed, more people joined and changed partners as others took a break. Knowing how Friederich loved to dance when he was at foreign banquets, Eva did not try to feign surprise or shock when he took Flora to join him in a dance as she had come back to take a break too, this time shoving her to her brother’s arms, whispering “go go go!” for only her to hear. Eva considered this payback for the dress, raising a brow with an almost imperceptible smirk as Flora sent her a dirty, flustered look her way when Friederich twirled her around. Her smugness fell when the Chief’s voice rumbled beside her, Moblit translating for him as the poor warrior managed to take a seat again after his dance partner let him.
“You don’t dance, Your Highness?”
Oh dear. Oh no. He was asking for a dance?
"My deepest apologies, I wouldn't want to expose my lack of gracefulness in front of my Lord. I am not acquaintanced with the dance moves or songs, and I’m afraid also I only know Gottesreichan court dances.”
Hans watched intently at their interaction, curious as to what her sister was going to do to get out of that one. Normally he would come to her rescue, or Friederich or Flora, but from now on she had to be on her own. The Chief answered and Moblit translated.
“I can teach you.”
Hans saw Eva swallow. There was no way she was getting out of that one, poor thing.
“I–I really don’t want to cause any embarrassment on you–”
“I was told you were a good dancer, though. I’m sure you are a fast learner too, Your Highness.”
The Chief stood up, his form towering over her as he offered his hand. Eva quickly looked at Hans, as if he would try to save her at the last minute, but he pointedly looked another way. Traitor! Eva didn’t have any other option but to accept the invitation and spend the most distressing moment of her life, for now. She heard Levi scoff and shake his head, saying something loud enough for the Chief and Moblit to hear, making the big man huff amusedly and Moblit to sigh.
People were staring, and Eva saw Flora encourage her with excited nods and smiles, mouthing “Go!”, and then “Like the summer solstice dances!”, at her. Friederich fixed a stare at the Chief as he saw his hand settle on the Princess’ waist after guiding Eva’s hand on his shoulder, holding her free hand in his own. The Chief smiled at her, trying to reassure the Princess as he squeezed her hand, and Eva had two swallow down a noise as she noticed how his hand engulfed her own. Even her waist felt small in his grasp.
The Chief gently guided her through the first steps of the dance, swaying and hopping to get used to it, and Eva felt clumsy like a newborn colt trying to follow him. Her nerves were not helping at all, too focused on the feel of his hand on her waist and back, its warmth scorching even through the thick layers of the dress, or the way his chest pressed against her back when the Chief tested the waters when he made her twirl through a step of the dance. Eva maintained her eyes locked on the Chief’s, as one should do when dancing with a partner, and Eva was sure the Chief could clearly see her anguish in them at the thought of either stepping on his foot, or being a poor dance partner, but he only saw genuine amusement in them. Maybe she was not doing that bad.
The music picked up a faster rhythm again, the banquet attendants getting back to their conversations and dancing partners, although curiously keeping an eye on the spectacle of having the Chief dance with the Princess. Eva could feel her uneasiness slip away, her confidence swelling at the thought that her trembling hands hadn't given her anxiety away, and allowed herself to move more freely. It was as Flora said, a dance like the summer solstice dances from Gottesreich where you let joy and music guide you and your partner. Still, the Eldian way of dancing was more wild, less bound and constrained, and more light on the feet, loose.
Feeling how the Princess was less strained and rigid, the Chief increased the speed of his movements too, following the band’s rhythm. He was enticed by the way the skirt of the dress flowed, reminding him of a flower in full bloom moved by a slight breeze, and the way her cheeks were reddened by both the efforts and her own nervousness.
The Chief felt bold, wanting to see how much he could push and test the Princess’ limits for tonight, and encouraged by the clapping of the people and the increased tempo of the song pushing the dancers into a more frenzied section, nearing the end of the song, the Chief made the Princess spin before picking her up in the air. He could see how both his hands practically swallowed her waist, fingers almost brushing against each other, and heard both the excited cheers and whistles from his people and the Princess’ startled gasp, frantically searching a place to find purchase for her hands, finally settling on his shoulders and tightening her grip for dear life, feeling his thick muscles underneath. She was light as a feather, and the thought greatly amused him. The Chief spun them around once, setting her back on her feet and continued to dance, Eva needing to ground herself to the fact that The Chief picked her up as if she weighed nothing, besides the boldness of the act itself. This was unthinkable back at court!
The Chief did it again and Eva wanted the earth to swallow her whole at the tiny, undignified squeak she let out as if she was a scared little mouse. Eva swore she saw him chuckle and the Princess pulled her lips in a tight line, fighting for her cheeks to not redden further.
The song was reaching its climax, the musicians wildly playing their instruments in an intense performance, and in a final spin and hop of the dance the Chief pulled the Princess close, ending the dance with their bodies pressed against each other and not taking their gazes away, staring intently into the other.
The Great Hall erupted with applauses and cheers, everyone taking a moment to step away from their partners, conversations and food to congratulate everyone in the room. Eva was panting, acutely aware of how her chest was squished and pressed against his own as he too tried to regain his breath, hands still clasped together and his other one on her small of the back. Her fabric felt flimsy and thin to her now, as if she was too exposed to his gaze, and Eva wanted to curse Flora for it; she did not need to look down to see how they were pressed upwards, Eva felt it.
Thankfully he stepped back, probably by the murderous glower of Friederich thrown his way, and released her as he respectfully bowed. Eva did the same, lifting her skirts and returning his courtesy. He then gestured to their seats, and Eva was never more grateful or in agreement with the Chief as she was now. She urgently needed to take a seat and process everything. Flora and Friederich did the same, the handmaiden excitedly sitting down and intently looking at the Princess, ready to open her mouth. The Chief speaking stopped her.
“I knew you were a fast learner, Your Highness. It was a beautifully performed dance.” Moblit translated, and both women saw the Chief nod at them both with a pleased smile before drinking from his goblet.
“Thank you for the dance, my Lord, I’m honoured.”
“Although, I never thought a mouse could make such adorable noises.”
Eva wanted to scream.
///
Eva still had the memory of the Chief’s hand on her body, like a scorching imprint deep in her mind. Eva swore her skin still tingled from the contact, even if she was in her nightgown and staring at the unfamiliar ceiling. Her fingers were nervously braiding and unbraiding her hair, going over today’s events and banquet.
Flora was already out like a light, her deep breaths signaling how deep into her slumber she was, and Eva could not blame her. Flora truly tired herself dancing, and Eva did not have the heart to tell her to behave, that was Eva’s job. A perfect pretty puppet. Flora did not represent the virtuousness and regalness of the Holy Kingdom, and Eva preferred it that way; Flora was a free spirit, and Eva would rather have her fly like a free bird than have her caged as herself in her duties.
This was to become Eva’s new life here, living amongst demons. Different place, same cage.
The Princess was not looking forward to the walk around the village that the Chief proposed for tomorrow morning, much preferring to stay in her rooms and scream into her pillow until her vocal chords were sore. She also wasn’t eager to go on the customary hunt the Eldians performed for their brides and grooms in the forest. Whenever Eva had to tag along the hunting trips back at any court, rolling her eyes internally at the nobles and princes showing themselves like peacocks, she was bored out of her mind. The Princess usually sat down at the picnic blanket spread out on the grass and under a tree’s shadow, drinking her cup of coffee with the other ladies and Flora. Eva always zoned out, answering with monosyllables and enough words for the other conversing partner to not feel ignored, as she gazed at the flowers or birds.
Sighing deeply, Eva let go of her hair and shifted to her side, facing the window.
At least the moon was the same.

❝ we create our own demons. who said that? what does that even mean? doesn’t matter, i said it cause he said it. so now he was famous and that’s basically get said by two well known guys. i don’t, uh, i’m going to start again. let’s track this from the beginning... ❞  ―  Tony Stark
can be read on here as well archiveofourow
The first missile meant to send shockwaves through the structure of the mansion, rattle the metal frame which cement walls clung to and form cracks in the foundation. It had succeeded in that aspect plus the stunning of the occupants within the structure even if adrenaline drown out the initial shock of the realisation of what is happening made the father scurry sore limbs to draw an invisible line from his nervous system to awaken the autonomous prehensile propulsion suit or Mark XXXIX to encapsulate the most valuable thing in the tumbling structure, his son. Mark XL got blown to smithereens by that of the second impact broke the earthly chains that bound the manmade structure to set it free. Show time for Mark XLI only to have a shower of bullets from the flying machine above the crack in the ceiling, Tony was without armour on top of crumbling earth, at least his son was protected and out of the rubble raining building, a near miss of the sofa that aimed for his shins to dive into the briny depths. From overstepping to caught himself, only to step into the secure feeling of metal encompassing his body tightly like that of a hug from a friend, Mark XLII.
He only had one shot at any attempt of them getting to the front of the house where his son stood on firm ground, palm angled skyward as the shadow of the tail covered him, bright beaming powerful blast emitted from his palm. What he hadn’t thought of was the chain reaction from the pilot and machine working against each other, thus was what broke the ceiling and leap for life from the iron clattered man trying to grip onto the steadier ground of the house, pulling himself up as he watched the helicopter get swallowed by the churning sea below. There he hung trying to hoist himself up, only to receive that of the grand piano to the shellhead causing him to topple into the waters below.
Propellers sliced at nothing but something altogether, air to high tail it out of the line of fire of three unknown helicopters, cameras that hadn’t stopped rolling since arriving at the Malibu mansion of one of Earth’s greatest heroes, Iron Man. Paparazzi had been waiting to get a photo of the man, the legend and not such a myth, accompanied by one of his two sons, the rumours that spread at wildfire capacity at the belief that he and Captain America had broken up, it may have looked that way on the onlookers perspective. The reason why Tony Stark was in town meant nothing and for whirling chops from copters to retreat back as the camera lens stayed of the atrocity of what once was a home, now turned to rubble from the third missile thus designed to kill.
❝ Breaking news, warning that the live footage you’re about to witness may be disturbing to some, we’d advise you to send small children out of the room... The footage that is displayed on the screen is that of Tony Stark’s mansion being attacked on, it is still uncertain if the beloved hero and his son wherein the house on the initial impact. Anthony and Harley Stark-Rogers are now classed as missing persons. ❞
The global broadcasted reached out to every channel, showing the clips of the  attack on the Stark cliff mansion to all whom feasted eyes upon it though it wouldn’t be until the NBC editors zoomed in on the footage to behold the iron man armour trying to cling onto the dilapidating building only to be lost from the final explosion. That really added the pain into the chest cavities of Steve and Peter whom ended up catching it on the screens that happened to be muted from a called meeting by Natasha, both had believed it was to do with their mission but no instead it was as if someone shoved their hand through flesh and the charm like the opening of the rib bones to rip out each heart right in front of them, shock took over them. As ocean eyes  adverted from the screen to meet that of a  tear-stained cheeked son, causing the father to not be able to utter out a word of comfort. The shattering of his heart, shrapnel pieces ricocheting against jagged bones as Natasha droned on, he just watched the man he loves, loved, loves be swallowed alive by their vacation house and there was no sight of Harley, his breath caught up in the back of his throat as he swallowed back the air. The loss of his strength to use his legs, close the distance towards himself and his son, allowing his son to fell onto him, just cry and a quiet nod from an unspoken queue to get the quinjet ready for take off.
Fly over was gut-wrenchingly quieting from the freckled face teen staring blankly, being abnormally quiet until the outburst that came from nowhere from the urgency need to see what is left, see if there is a clue and the dying hope that they could be alive, a strong arm catching him just under his arm from the weight upon his own chest that he had realised that he was sinking to the floor of the jet or that he even stood. Calming words did nothing for his son, Peter. No soothing nor ease, just brought out more waterworks and if Steve didn’t have to be strong for his son then he’d be doing the same thing.
There as the most haunting and yet taunting thing Steve has beheld ever in his life, the head of a suit damage on the ledge of where the front steps to the holiday house once where, now all ghostly images of what once stood here and what it once represented. A home for a family to seek time away from the chaos of the world, the family’s safe haven.
