An Elementalist like his mentor Quintessence. Eike Harlow Aka Catalyst shares a uniquely powerful connection to the earth, which led a few speculations that he has the potential to be far more powerful than his mentor.

Catalyst holds the belief that mankind is capable of solving the problems plaguing it, but only with a firm and guiding hand.

He posses a highly intelligent and charming personality. Easily talking his way in and out of different situations.

A trait he used to earn himself the position of Mayor of Vera City despite barely being 18 years old. He's keenly aware that he earned himself enemies at every corner.

Catalyst behaves much like an older brother to the sidekicks.

Often lending them a shoulder to cry on or an ear to listen to their woes.

He somewhat remained in contact after Nora after she left the team. She had no interest in anything related to the Omega Responders but let her know that he was always one phone call away.

Catalyst is willing to do what needs to be done in the name of the greater good, no matter how illegal or ethically wrong it may be. As much as he loves the sidekicks like a family he's well aware they wouldn't agree with his methods and would try to stop him. Especially Flit, who he developed romantic feelings towards.

After the Starlight Stand, amidst grieving the closest thing he had for mother Catalyst was approached by a peculiar man who offered him something out of his wildest dreams.

a small child came into the café today and asked to buy a chocolate truffle. he tapped a credit card on the reader and it did not go through, mainly because it was not a credit card but in fact a junior cinema pass. i gently explained he couldn't use that to buy things in shops and he looked so gutted that i was like "...but just this once you can have it for free, don't tell my boss though" he said thank you and walked out with his truffle and as he went i heard him chuckling to himself and saying "yes..... yes!!!!!" like the sickos comic

“What the fuck, what the fuck, what the fuck-” Tim chanted to himself, looking down at his cup of tea in betrayal. Was he hallucinating, had he been drugged with something? He had slept last night! 

Yet there in their own Lazarus Pit, the one in the cave not the giant one somewhere under the rest of Gotham, was a literal baby, looking just as surprised as he was. Of course that didn’t last, and its face scrunched up as it started to cry, which was his first hint that no, this was not in fact a hallucination. 

 There was a pit baby in the Lazarus pool.

Tempo has won the Time war.

He has killed Chronomancer and finally got his freedom to...

To do what, exactly?

His original timeline is ruined beyond repair, the other timelines he pulled his other versions from were a no-go, and not mention the calamities caused by fractures in time and space.

What's left for him?

What was left for Dante Hargreaves?

He has no one to return to, the Renegades, his teammates and family, were gone. Without them, the Adversary was unopposed in its conquest and Earth fell to its misguided vision.

There was no home for him to return to.

What was the point? Why did he fight Chronomancer so fiercely?

What was he fighting for again?

Ironic that a time manipulater has lost his sense of time.

How long was the fighting going on? It felt like weeks, months and years have passed yet it was all blur. Like the day after the parties he and the sidekicks used to sneak to.

Ah, right, the sidekicks. They became the Renegades after coming together to protect the world in their missing mentors stead.

Yes, that is why he fought, to undo the deaths of Renegades.

He acted purely on instinct, that day.

He didn't mean to, he really didn't mean to.

Standing over Chronomancer's corpse to what felt like ages, Tempo was struck with an idea.

Chronomancer claimed that the future cannot change, that the Renegades will die by his hands everytime. So what if he never did join them? What if he never came to be? If he wasn't around them then he can't kill them!

But that poses another question, if Tempo were never to join the sidekicks or be found by Chronomancer, what will happen to them? Especially In times when he talents were most needed.

That prompt another thought, if he simply never existed would someone else take his place?

Now that was an interesting idea.

So, Tempo has decided to take a page out of Thaumaturge's book and conduct an experiment.

His power has greatly increased during the war and thus he could easily travel between any timeline he desires.

Tempo will travel to a timeline where he, Dante Hargreaves, does not exist and observe the possibilities of his absence. And, intervene if he must.

Hopefully the Renegades will survive that fateful day.

Perhaps he should do something about the Adversary as well, but that's for another time.
