Edward is in his supervillain lair with his phone’s contacts as lengthy as a bible with all of them supervillain related in many ways from organizations, supervillain teams, and rackets.

Edward can’t help but feel nothing but longing for his (probably) ex boyfriend after the superhero team found out about his gruesome murder.

Edward wipes of his lipstick as he’s lying on the couch, his eyes telling the story of what’s still going on inside his head (mentally speaking).

He feels nothing for money, for all the robberies he does, and not even a single care for how far he’s come in mastering every single element.

Killing kind of helps, being able to soak in every single detail on a fresh corpse, the wide eyes and the gaping maw. It’s all so beautiful with every single thing he observes from his victims.

But intimacy.

that is something so much more powerful than the control he has over burning, drowning, freezing, electrocuting, and choking anybody.

The beauty of one’s body and mindset thrills him as he keeps playing the game of romance, what will happen next? Did he start things if well? Is he feeling numb again? Is it obvious how dissociated he is from reality? Is the man’s facial expressions changing right now because of obvious signs of mental decline/illness/condition? Is the sheer fact that once that cute man exits the door both him and Edward will still be existing? Every single second will pass by with the cute guy still on earth?.

Then theirs the bad people, as in people he’d be paranoid about in his previous sidekick identity, sketchy people with clear evidence that their up to no good and not to mention the wait of when someone will get a chance at him regardless of if his guard (mentally speaking) is lowered, but its when their really close to killing him that he can’t help it, that he can lash out. Edward never kill anyone out of anger, he sees nothing but practicality when killing anyone that isn’t a civilian and his past friends and lover from his sidekick past. But if it’s someone (regardless of if theirs any knowledge about the attackers) that is trying to kill Edward? That’s when he gets crazy and leaves nothing but corpses in his wake, sometimes it’s clean and efficient albeit with clear panicked inspired force. But other times it’s grizzly, barbaric, a clear showing of just how dangerous he is. Yet it’s never (so far at least) been indescribable, atrocious, inhumane. That’s only for the irredeemables like Rattlebag and Thaumataurge.

As night blankets the outside Edward fishes out his phone from his casual wear clothing. He goes to Apple Music app and plays Chet Baker’s song My Ideal, after setting the mood with Chet’s soothing vocals Edward’s hand travels to the photos app and scrolls to just what he was looking for.

the video of his first boyfriend, Derek Dumas (otherwise known as Multidude).

he remembers how kind he was, how beautiful, and just how happy he was with him.

Edward clicks the video and after 30 something seconds Derek appears. And he’s in a black morphsuit, his role that week was Peter Pan’s Shadow and he just couldn’t help but lovingly smile when he saw him, much like Edward is doing now.

Derek said he always hates that role because it didn’t let him shine as the truly talented actor he’s always been.

Edward however has always seen nothing but his crush and later boyfriend to then ex boyfriend.

He’ll get over Derek eventually, he’s thinking in 2 months.

But until then Edward watches his old flame burn under embarrassment at being the comedic relief.

okay so imagine that like a year or so into the war palpatine thinks 'actually i would prefer to have my future apprentice more nearby for corrupting' so he decides to recall anakin and the 501st to coruscant, because they definitely need their best jedi defending the front and oh wouldn't you look at that, a certain senator is always there too! wins all around!

but now the 501st is bored out of their minds and need something to do and anakin won't let them go back out onto the front because they're his, so the excellent solution?

the 501st replace the corries! clones are interchangeable anyway, right?

and even though the corries haven't seen frontline battle it's fiiine even if they get wiped out, bc palps has what he wants on coruscant now

and it's not like the corries have ever needed a jedi so why would they need one now? so they're given to some whatever-admiral and booted out to go join the frontline rotations, problem solved.

within 3 days the corries have either manipulated the admiral into thinking he's calling all the shots when it's actually fox or they've introduced him to an unfortunate airlock malfunction, so sad, couldn't have happened to a worse person

and with no jedi around they don't have anyone saying ridiculous shit like 'we should try negotiation first' or 'you can't assassinate every political leader on the planet'

(alpha 17 bullies his way on board within a week)

and they start blasting around the galaxy Getting Shit Done and it is maybe not the best in terms of optics but wow those clone death toll numbers sure do go down

and one of the times they (grudgingly) work with another battalion the other clones are going 'what the absolute shit' while the corries steamroll over everything in their path, an absolutely feral group of highly-trained shock troopers used to fighting dirty and utilizing insane tactics from years on coruscant FINALLY able to take out their frustrations on the unsuspecting galaxy separatists

Cody, halfheartedly, the Jedi Council making encouraging motions just out of sight of holocall: Fox could you please tone it down a little.

Fox, sipping a spimosa at some sleezy separatist's castle he just took over: How about no.

Yet there in their own Lazarus Pit, the one in the cave not the giant one somewhere under the rest of Gotham, was a literal baby, looking just as surprised as he was. Of course that didn’t last, and its face scrunched up as it started to cry, which was his first hint that no, this was not in fact a hallucination.

An Elementalist like his mentor Quintessence. Eike Harlow Aka Catalyst shares a uniquely powerful connection to the earth, which led a few speculations that he has the potential to be far more powerful than his mentor.

Catalyst holds the belief that mankind is capable of solving the problems plaguing it, but only with a firm and guiding hand.

He posses a highly intelligent and charming personality. Easily talking his way in and out of different situations.

A trait he used to earn himself the position of Mayor of Vera City despite barely being 18 years old. He's keenly aware that he earned himself enemies at every corner.

Catalyst behaves much like an older brother to the sidekicks.

Often lending them a shoulder to cry on or an ear to listen to their woes.

He somewhat remained in contact after Nora after she left the team. She had no interest in anything related to the Omega Responders but let her know that he was always one phone call away.

Catalyst is willing to do what needs to be done in the name of the greater good, no matter how illegal or ethically wrong it may be. As much as he loves the sidekicks like a family he's well aware they wouldn't agree with his methods and would try to stop him. Especially Flit, who he developed romantic feelings towards.

After the Starlight Stand, amidst grieving the closest thing he had for mother Catalyst was approached by a peculiar man who offered him something out of his wildest dreams.
