Otherside Picnic Volume 8 Thoughts - Part 5
File 25: Learn Your Lesson
2
We’ve barely started the conversation with Kozakura and she already as harsh as we’ve come to expect.
Spends the first minute of the conversation badmouthing their relationship then claims she herself is the “sensitive” one.
Sorry, Kozakura, but I agree with Sorawo. The only ordinary person in this series is Natsumi.
I don’t know why she is so opposed to others going to Otherside out of their own interest, especially when she helped give them incentives to do so.
Honestly, I’m not sure what Sorawo is expecting at this point. You don’t want any cookie-cutter responses like “date her or reject her”, but then you go asking outsiders who barely know them, and a shut-in who stares at monitors all day.
I’m giggling. Kozakura really suggested they go have a picnic on the Otherside, then immediately told Sorawo, don’t actually do that. Forget the title, they’ve already been camping and are building their own base.
So Kozakura’s reaction to Tsuji’s name is basically, that bitch ain’t dead, yet?
How many times is Sorawo going to question whether someone is in a cult?
“Jack the Pisser?” Are we sure Kasumi isn’t doing this on purpose?
I admit, they had me there for a minute with that castration story. But people of influence dying in a safari? No, those types of people don’t do anything themselves, they have people for that.
Hopefully, Kozakura is only the victim of Kasumi’s word salad and nothing else, but who knows? We don’t even necessarily know what Kasumi is.
Oof, she finally said it. If only Sorawo had the same interest in Toriko as the Otherside. I mean, how long did it take for Sorawo to visit Toriko had her university or ask about her personal life?

Wait, so the problem is Sorawo is still hung up on the whole “accomplices” and “most intimate relationship in the world” thing. Idiot, you’re overthinking it. It’s like Benimori was saying, there is no one way to define or package a relationship. And let’s be real, you may have been “accomplices” from the start, but the actual intimacy was something that came over time, which is why the question of “what actually are we” is coming up, now. There is no one way to be “accomplices” and/or “lovers”.
Oh look, the consequences of her own actions are catching up to her again. She’s been pussyfooting around this issue for so long and the Otherside is naturally going to take advantage of her cowardice, again.
We’re back at Mayoiga, again, of all places. I suppose Sorawo did run out of acquaintances to talk to on the surface world, so honestly is left besides the old lady and her dog?
Todate and Hana aren’t even there. Not surprising, it should even be expected.
Looks like Kozakura had it wrong. Sorawo might still try to explore the Otherside without Toriko, but it wouldn’t feel the same. She’d likely be crushed by the loneliness and give up eventually, probably disappearing like Satsuki did.
That dream Sorawo had before was unsettling enough, but now she is experiencing it for herself… This is probably also an answer to what happened to Todate and Hana.
And of course, there’s Mujina Toriko, again. What a mean cliffhanger.
